Preferred Solution: Web pages wont load or load completely

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Web pages wont load or load completely

Do you have more then 1 computer connected to your modem/router? If so, does this happen on them? If not, can you connect a separate one (ex: friend's laptop) to test?

Normally when you get errors like this it's best to rule out a problem at the modem/router and provider before going crazy over trying to fix a problem (that may not exist) on your PC(s).

Also just a couple of other questions:

Who is your internet provider (ISP)?
What connection type do they use (Cable/DSL/Fiber/Fixed Wireless/Mobile Wireless)?
What is the make and model of your router and modem?

I do maintenance on my PC often like defrag when needed , disk cleanup and virus scans and use CCleaner often

I recently did virus scan and found 4 or so viruses and got rid of them

Scanned for malware using Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware and found a few problems and took care of them

got rid of gamvance thing i had on there

I have minimal things load on startup of my pc

Any help with this problem would be great

Answer:Some Pages wont load at all and others load fine

Try running a ping to the sites that have trouble loading to see what kind of connection times you are looking at. I would also run a tracert to those sites to see if there are any places dropping the connection.

Whenever I go online using either IE or Firefox I keep having problems with pages sporatically freezing up, not loading at all, or never loading completely. I was infected with the virus Worm SkyNet a couple of weeks ago and came here where it was removed using the "Read First" routine. The problems with page loadings started after that, so I came back and was told to run the same routine again which I did. When those second scan results showed no more infections I was told to come and post to this forum. I am only having problems when on the net and the same page may load quickly one time and then when I go back to it, it won't load or freezes. I have to constanty refresh the page or go back and then try it again. Also I can be on a page and think it's fully loaded then notice the icon for the page being busy is still loading it for over 5 minutes. I have cleared cookies and caches and defraged my computer with no help. Can someone please help me. Thanks.

Answer:Pages freeze up and never load completely

What OS, anti-virus, other security?
Both firefox AND IE? What versions?
Do you use and run cCleaner? Have you run the registry clean in cCleaner?

When I'm surfing from site to site, my ie6 pages don't always load the way they should. I'm using Windows XP home. Some of them have the red x in the white box. If it's something I want to click on (not an ad) I have to refresh the page. This has been happening the last few days. I have default settings in Tool>Internet Options>Advanced. I also went to start>run and then typed sfc /scannow. I do regular computer maintenance, scan for adware, keep everything updated as completely as I can. What can I do? Thanks

Answer:ie 6 pages dont load completely

Have you deleted all temp internet files? Performed scan disk and defrag?

I have been having this problem for a few days now and it is the same on several different computers at different homes.
Web pages often only load completely when refreshed. I use Firefox on all these computers and the problem occurs on many different web pages. Just happened here while trying to open a thread. Anyone else experiencing this? Also while on a page the links become useless and work fine only if I refresh.

While loading the page seems to get stuck loading an ad so I was thinking maybe some monitoring program stopping the ad also is stopping the page from loading correctly. Any insight into this appreciated.

All computers have AVG, Zone Alarm, Java and Firefox installed.
XP and Windows 7 used as operating systems.
Also all computers appear to be free of virus and spy-ware infections.

Any suggestions appreciated.

When I try to load a web page, sometimes it won't show at all, sometimes it will load halfway, and other times it loads completely. I have never had this problem before and I haven't changed anything with my network.

Any ideas?

Running Windows XP SP2
using firefox, safari and netscape browsers (IE No longer functions)
When surfing to a web page, no matter which of the other 3 browsers I am using, IE attempts to open a page then crashes.

Also, web pages do not fully load or I have to reload them 3 or 4 times to get them to fully load.

I have used several virus/spyware programs on our computer over the past year. Our computer has not worked correctly for that long. Last week I used Avast and it found win32:dsBot-ac attached to a picture. Avast said to move the file to the 'chest' which I did. I thought that this would fix the computer but it is still running the same. We have problems with internet pages loading completely. Some pages say you need to update flash, which we have several times Pages that have buttons that take you to another page will not work. We have windows Vista, the computer is only about a year and a half old.

Hello,

Recently I have encounted a problem with web pages loading. Everything will be fine and I will be going from page to page and then all of a sudden, web pages wont display. There is just nothing. The weird thing is that I still have a connection to the internet because I can go on AIM and bring in email with outlook. To solve the problem, I just reboot and all is fine until it happens again, which is getting all too often. I have made two changes to my system about the time this started happening. One is that I went from a wired router to a new Netgear wireless router. I am wired in but two other computers in the house are not wired in and they have no problem such as Im having. The next change is that I built a new system. I went from a loaded 1.5 P4 to a loaded 3.0 P4. I am using all the same software though. Everything I have has been updated. XP, Norton, Bios, you name it. Im up to date. If anyone has any idea on what could be causing this problem, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Ive just recently ran into a small internet problem. Over the last week Ive been unable to access certain web sites. Some on the other hand work fine. Ive tried everything, ran several different spyware/adware programs, ran registry cleaners, turned off my firewall, pretty much everything I could think of that would pertain to this problem. I went into the command prompt and pinged several sites that werent working and got a response with all of them, so its not a connection problem. I use Firefox, so I figured maybe its a browser problem, but I tried in IE7 and got the same results. Even lowered my MTU packet rates and that did nothing as well. So, can anyone help me out? I have tried everything that I can think of.

Answer:Some web pages wont load.

Ok, nevermind this post. Turns out I had a trojan that was blocking my access. The spyware and adware programs that I had werent picking it up. I downloaded AVG antivirus and did a scan and it cleaned it up.

Hello,
Im having trouble with certain web pages not loading like
www.facebook.com or
http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/webcams/webcam_bermagui.html
They go to load then the screen either stays white or after 1min or so the screen turns black but leaves the tool bar at the top and bottom accessible. The problem started about 1 month ago and i have tried to go back to a recovery point but it still doesnt work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Mick

Hi, I'm embarrassed to say i have a box running Windows XP with SP2 on it, it has both the XP SP2 firewall and pc cillin firewall running (obviously a bad start). The problem is that the computer will not load some web pages, these are not always the same sites. It performs the dns lookup fine, if i set IE to go through a proxy then it will then load the sites, so i'm guessing that something is blocking outgoing traffic to certain ip's. I have tried disabling the pc cillin firewall (through their control panel then stopping all related services to make sure) and this made no difference, i then also tried disabling the SP2 firewall (for a very short period of time, for obvious reasons) but this didnt solve the problem either. I then reset the TCP/IP protocol as per: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;299357

Restarted the machine, but this didnt solve the problem either.

Any ideas would be most appreciated..

I am running WinXP Pro SP2. I also run PC-Cillin and ZoneAlarm Free firewalls with Windows Firewall turned off. The reason I use ZoneAlarm is that if a trojan ever does get onto my system, there is outbound protection since ZoneAlarm notifies you for every outbound access to Allow or Deny. Windows Firewall will not protect you from this situation at this point in time. ZoneAlarm also stealths all of your ports such that when your ports are probed, you are totally blocked to the crackers and script-ki... Read more

Answer:IE Wont Load any Pages

1. Are you sure that it is getting an internet connections? If so...

2. Try deleting your Temporary Internet Files... go to "Tools" --> "Internet Options" --> and under Temp. internet files click "delete files"

3. Under the "Security" tab check your settings.

4. Under the "Privacy" tab check your settings.

In 3, 4 if these are set too high it will prevent some web pages from loading, but as I said before make sure you do have a live connection.

Have you intalled anything new?

Please let us know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.

Are you talking about web pages or windows? What browser? Since when? Have you installed any new hardware or downloaded any updates recently? Did you try to go back to an earlier system restore point from before this started? Which browsers have you tried? Does your email program or messenger work?

Our family computer is randomly having trouble connecting to the internet when loading some web pages or web pages wont load. I occasionally have the same problem with my laptop but never at the same time. Which leads me to believe it is not likely my router. Would that be correct? My wife plays alot of games from Yahoo Games. Could that be a source of some of the problems?

I have some of the tools I believe will be needed to clean the system loaded to my desktop ready to go. I need some direction to be sure I don't go out of order and cause a bigger problem.

Thank you

Can u help me plz? xD

EDIT1: I also try: /flushdns
/IE/Mozilla Resetting the options

Answer:IE and Firefox wont load some pages

If you can load some websites then the issue is with the websites your trying to connect to ie their servers are down, they no longer exist or they have changed their web address, if you cant load any websites at all then the issue is with your internet connection.

Same problem as this one https://forums.techguy.org/threads/help-cant-load-the-page-tumblr.964766/

But I tried all and nothing solved it.

I want to log into tumblr but I kept getteing the same error. I used Chrome and Egde, at first when I noticed I couldnt enter with Chrome I used Edge and I could, it was slow but it loaded the site, but not I can on none of my browsers. I know the problem is my Wifi/Router since I used other Wifis and the site worked.

I'm trying to download a docstoc file and when I right click, print document, save as PDF, it won't load all the 99 pages of the document. It only loads about 70-78 pages. I've tried it several times over and over, refreshed, different browsers, different computers from different places but all result the same (only 70-78 pages loads).

I did notice that in the middle of "loading preview", there is a pop up behind the window that appears to be a shockwave flash error. I'm guessing this might be the reason why it stop at about 77 pages instead of loading the full 99 pages?

Can anyone else check this out and try? Here's my link:
http://swf.docstoc.com/swf/loader.2.4.53.swf?doc_id=80009391

You'll see clearly it's 99 pages, but when you right click mouse > print document > then save as PDF file, it will only load about 70ish pages and that's all I'm able to save.

Things I've tried:
I've disabled and enabled, neither worked.
I've updated and installed latest adobe flash player and shockwave flash, still get the same problem.

What I need to know most is if this problem is happening with everyone else, because I think it might be? It's not a private link or high security link or anything like that. It's a public link, it's open to ANYONE who wants it.

Could someone just please try and save the file as PDF too and see if you're able to load all 99 pages or if you... Read more

Answer:Trying to save as PDF but all pages wont load

I went to the link you posted; the first question is: why does the Download button on the top right not work? That should be the proper method to download the doc.

Next I tried the method you described; it stopped after 34 pages. Tried it one more time; it stopped after 45 pages.

Is seems that Flash Player is creating the PDF document, and it appears as if Flash just crashed.

Here's what's happening. I get to a page and log in, the security screen pops up in IE and asks me if I want to display nonsecure content...sure, okay. Then it changes pages and thinks, thinks, thinks and then nothing - blank screen.

I'm no HTML guru, but I know a thing or two and I think it has to do with the poor job they did on the source code there. If you view the source, you will see that towards the end, they end it with the body, then the html tags. That's normal, but then they try to add more scripting, and then finally end with an unneeded body tag and a misplaced form tag...

Code:
</body>
</html>

<script> .......</script>

</form> this doesn't belong here

My browsers wont load most pages for some reason, started about 2 hours ago out of the blue. This site loads obviously, and a few others but the majority wont. If i hit refresh several times some will eventually load while others dont only to have the ones that dont start working 10 mins later. I've ran Antivirus, and spyware detectors and came up clean. Also cleared out all temp internet files, cookies, etc and ran windows washer to be sure. Download speeds are good, everything seems to be working fine except the browers. Tried reinstalling Firefox and its still the same. Any help would be appreciated..

hello,

i have no idea how this happened but i cannot view some webpages anymore. all it does is show "done" on the left side of the status bar. their is no downloading of data to load the page so their is a blank page.

im pretty sure its not the servers or anything because it happens to various sites, eg wiki and some forums. a lot of other sites i can view like normal. some websites work but some links within the website get the above problem.

i restored my internest settings to default but the problem was not fixed.

can someone tell me how to fix this?

Hi there,

I've been using firefox for the past 8 months or so and i've been really happy with it, and have experienced no problems whatsoever. I use it everyday and including last night when I went to check my gmail and I got the Alert error-"gmail.google.com cannot be found. Please check the name and try again" So I thought it might have been my broadband connection-but I could access gmail via IE6. I've checked my firewall and anti-virus settings and all appears to be fine. Ive re booted the machine and uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but i cannot access any pages through it. It's sooooo frustrating!!! Any ideas on even why this is happening would be terrific!
Thanking you!

Hi all,

I have win 7 ultra 64 bit installed, I have certain sites that will not load. I have tried it with IE 8 (64bit and 32 bit) and Firefox 3.6. I am using microsofts firewall and microsoft essential for my virus protection. I have another computer using the same hub and internet connection but running off of xp and it works with no problems.

So far I have not been able to access the main page for microsoft.com, mozilla.com, the install software for adobe flash and a few others but then the other site work great and fast.

Any suggestions... Am I missing something?

Hope to hear from someone soon..

Answer:pages like microsoft.com wont load

Hello,

I also wanted to add this site to the list of sites I can not access. It just sites there and spin like it is trying to access the page but stop, again this is in ie and firefox. I have both 32 and 64 bit java incase that was the problem. I have even tried it with the firewall off and still not able to gain access to them.

Thank for any ideas...

i was one day playing evony for a little then i logged out and went back on and it wont load now. it hasnt loaded since. and a lot of other web pages won't load either. i have cleared everything of melware and spyware, and everything has been up to date for weeks. i have not messed with any of my internet settings or uninstalled something or installed something so i really dont no why it wont load.

Answer:why wont Evony load pages i've been to before

,icetiger SWAG, sounds like a worm/trojan to me. Sadly, online games, videos, chat rooms, etc. are teeming with them. Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean, other times, it gets missed entirely. If you need to clean one, Superantispyware (info only. I?m not paid for recommendation) can do the job and you can get it free @:http://www.superantispyware.com/among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed Dunno about Windows 7.. If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update Superantispyware prior to running and disable 'restore' (restart after cleaning) so the nasty doesn't get put back. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux. The restore thing is critical. May not be your deal at all, but won't hurt anything to try. Maybe it got missed?HTH.Ed in Texas.

I have a one year old HP 2000 Notebook PC with 3gb ram, using windows 7 home premium with internet explorer 9, with Comcast as an internet provider, using an Asus wireless router. The problem Im having that is driving me NUTS is that randomly web page wont load, I get internet explorer cannot display the webpage error and when I look at the task manager I notice that the cpu usage has dropped below 10%. This happens quite a bit all day long, Ive searched all over the net and cannot come up with a solution. Does anybody know what could be causing the low cpu usage and pages wont load? Any help is appreciated.

Answer:Low CPU Usage Pages Wont Load

cpu has nothing to do with anything - and the fact that your cpu usage is below 10% is great.

Try another browser and see what happens (Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, etc)

I have a modern computer and use Windows XP; Zone Alarm and AVG antivirus software. When I go to some of my favourite web pages, some of the pages wont load and an icon of a little eye pops up on the bottom taskbar. What can I do so that I can load the page?? I think the eye must be to stop spyware or something but I dont know how to tell it I want to view that page. Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Answer:web pages that wont load?? my software??

It sounds like a configuration problem with Zonealarm. I would reset to default settings.

Answer:Random web pages wont load

What are your network settings? You have DHCP enabled? You are allowing the router to assign the IP and the DNS servers? Try overriding the DNS server in your network connection properties with a generic DNS server. For testing I use one that is easy to remember - 4.2.2.2 . It's not your fastest option but it is useful to see if DNS is causing your issue.

If that helps then you can see what alternate DNS servers your provider has or you can find a faster alternate DNS server.

There are some pages it just cant load. Yahoo mail, youtube, and about 1/4 of all pages I try to go to. Any ideas? I switch routers back to my ancient BEF and voula they load.
I turned off the DNS relay and that seems to have fixed the issue with having to manually enter the DNS in each computer but my wife cant live without youtube so....

Wouldnt even load it with her IP set as DMZ.

Answer:More DIR-615 problems, help? - Some pages wont load

Couple of things to try:

Power off the DIR-615 and cable modem. Leave them off for a good ten minutes. Plug the modem back in first and then the router.

Try setting OpenDNS on the router's DHCP server and/or each of your computers.

Reset the router to factory defaults. (Then repeat the first recommendation.)

Reset the router to factory defaults then flash it with the latest firmware. (Then repeat the first recommendation.)

There's also a website filter function - make sure there are no entries in it. Resetting to the defaults will remedy this.

Hi Guys/Gals,

I've got a really irritating issue where some web pages wont load, I get a blank page with a empty gif thats 1x1 ??

It happens with ie8, firefox, and chrome, I've turned off kaspersky to test if it was the cause but it wasn't, a good example of a page that wont load is any google ad when doing a search (yes sometimes thats what I'm looking for) its also other pages with no rhyme or reason. Is it a setting somewhere that needs to be changed or.... I dont know ??

I also run xp and the web pages load fine on that in any browser.

*Edit* the page also runs ok if I stick it through a proxy web site like proxify ?

Hi guys, tryin to help my bro with a fubared system. He has xp home w/ sp 2. Here is what happened: He downloaded Panda AV, for some reason the install screwed up because now windows only partially loads. Not even a bottom task bar and start menu.

Panda says some part of the engine was unable to install. Going to add/remove does not help , when tryin to remove panda, it says cant remove because same thing, something to do w/ the panda engine. Same thing when trying to go to system restore...it just says you have to restart windows to use system restore, i guess because part of windows is not fully loading?

the user IF wasnt even loading at first, but i got it back.

Any programs he tries to open wont open (like burning software to back up some files) they say not enough system memory, ( again, maybe because its not fully loading?), when check asus probe he had over 500 MB of usuable memory.and ive made sure the sticks of ram are good.

I tried safe mode , then system restore from cmd prompt, still says same thing...to restart , which of course, i have done many times.

I then booted from his xp install disc , went to repair windows, it did the usual coping of files, then when it got to the actuall install of windows after 2 min of install w/ 39 min left, we got a fatal error (ugg),

"Set up failed to install product catalogs. This is a Fatal Errror.

Im not sure if this is in the right forums, so if its not, please point me in the right direction.

I had to do a reformat yesterday, because of a corrupt XP file, and now that everything is up and running again, my net wont allow me to go to the most common pages that I went to before the reformat. This occurs in both IE6 and FF.
These include:

www.bebo.com
www.nihilum.eu
www.worldofwarcraft.com (note: with this one, I can follow a link off google to go to the forums, but the main site wont work.)

The sites are all still up, and the other computer on my network can still access all these sites, so I dont think it would be my net thats the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

All webpages actually has that endless loadloop unless I stop the loading, doesnt matter if the page is done loading, its still there.

I am getting this error on IE and also Chrome (but FF is fine)

I dont have a clue what it means, I am from the UK and don't speak Chinese.

Any ideas?

Answer:Internet Explorer wont load pages...

That is actually not an IE page, but a page returned by the web server after responding to your request with an HTTP/405 response (request not allowed, aka Access Denied). Both IE and Google Chrome use Wininet.dll to access web pages, whereas FF is a winsock-direct application and goes directly to the network stack. Sounds like something has hooked wininet requests, perhaps, or there's a proxy configured in IE or Chrome causing this?

running xp on toshiba laptop pc. recent problem - can surf the net for a few pages then without warning the next page to load simply freezes. can be any sort of page. never the same one (other than a web site hosting my email - btinternet - which always freezes).

lately - also internet connection gets dropped and "page cannot be displayed" comes up, obviously until i go throught the reconnect procedure.

most importantly it is the freezing pages that cause the problem rather than the dropped connection ... any thoughts.
have installed dragon speaking naturally 8 (a dictation program) but that was installed & running for 5 days before this problem started - but that was the last piece of software i installed, not convinced that it is relevant to this problem

Hello,
Before posting here I have read quite a few threads and followed all the directions for removing malware and spyware for windows XP. I am still having some problems with my Firefox browsing and some pages (not all now, although it was for a time) are being redirected or cannot load. I am hoping you can take a look at my logs and let me know if you see something in the logs that is suspicious or if you can give me any other suggestions. I did have a lot of spyware which earlier runs of Malwarebytes, Avast, Smitfraud fix have largely cleaned out. My PC is running well now except for the browser loading issues. Maybe there is something else which is causing this.
Thanks in advance for your help. I am fairly new to these procedures but can follow directions pretty well. Please excuse any unintentional gaffes in posting etiquette.

Shishya

Answer:Browser redirects or wont load pages

Hello,

I would like to clarify my original post. The redirection only happens with Google search pages. If I type or paste a URL address it goes to that address. But if I click on Google search pages that is where the page doesn't load or will sometimes be redirected to to another site, usually a promotional site.
Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Shishya

I hope someone can help me out.

I can't open any sites in IE. However, Firefox just without a hitch. All other programs can access the Internet too. I did the basics like running the network wizard, yada yada yada. Checked the Hosts file, clean. Ran spyware/adware removal apps (found none... since Firefox rocks!). No virus'. Turned off firewall. Am I missing something here perhaps?

Here's what i got:
- Win XP SP2
I think i've got all the updates - but can't check since IE wont open.
- D-Link ethernet card, going through SMC router to Cable Modem.

if there's anything else you need to know, just ask

Any suggestions would really be great!

Thanks

Some web pages wont load , and reason given as possible problem is adware apps., followed by suggestion to disable them. Is there a quick way to do that. I dont find it as an option in menus......using AdAware and Spybot.

Our users have IE 7 and 8. We keep them locked into place by pointing IE to our firewall product (tools > internet options > connections > lan settings), so that only approved sites are the ones that our people can access. In the last few days, several of them report issues with specific websites loading very slowly - load times of over an hour just to get the log-in screen to appear.Troubleshooting Steps:1.) Unchecked the "use proxy server for your LAN" under the IE menus---> Site resolves instantly, as it should---> This pointed me to the direction that perhaps the site wasn't configured for our firewall2.) Re-checked the "use proxy server" box, and specifically configured the site in our firewall---> Site continues to resolve slowly, with the same load times as before performing step 1That would normally indicate that the problem is on the vendor's end. Something may be wrong with their site. And that's the line of thought I was pursuing until I was reported back to that the users are having the same problem on other websites. These new websites they're having problems with are, and have been for a long time, configured properly in the firewall.I'm not sure what my next step is to pursue. What am I looking for now? I don't know enough about networking to figure out where to track next.

Answer:Users are unable to load websites - no error, just 1-hour+ load times for pages

Backstory (skip if you need)
I'm fixing someones laptop, It was slow and taking 30 minutes to startup, i did the usually virus scan and restarted, then it was stuck in an auto repair loop. I used a windows 8 Install CD from microscoft. None of the options in it would work, install (key doesnt match) reset (missing partition), image recovery (cant find an image), restore (no restore point), etc.

Used command prompt, did stuff like bootrec, bcdedit, diskpart, and chkdsk. After it ran chkdsk it finally loaded windows. I reset/reinstalled the OS completely. Fixed, restarted, running smooth. Owner said it was working great for a day, then after turning it back on it was in an auto repair loop.

Now
It's stuck in a preair loop, I can't even boot from the 8 CD! Have it configured in the bios, it shows the the blue windows logo then the screen goes black for 3 minutes and a blue screen flashes for 1 second saying  "Your PC ran into a problem and need to restart. Collecting some info (0% complete) search online for error: 0x000021a"

The weird thing is, Windows 7 disks boot fine, but it's "not compatible". And if I physically remove the HDD, it will boot into the windows 8 CD. So I put the HDD back in (while still at the command prompt) and it wont take my commands in related to the C: . I get a "System cannot find the drive specified"

I also tried hooking upp the HDD to my PC SATA, it shows in explorer, but just right clicking it crashes explorer.exe. D... Read more

Answer:Windows wont load, Boot CD wont load, Automatic Repair Loop

UPDATE:

I got a windows 8.1 disk made and it allowed me yo boot from the CD, but it's SLOOOOW, it takes minutes to load reset or w.e (none of them still work), or open the command prompt.

I ran chkdsk /f /r /x but it didnt help. chkdsk /r ends with:
"A disk read error occurredcc0000185
Insufficient disk space to fix the Usn Journal $J data stream."

Before when I ran it, I'm pretty sure it let me restart and booted into windows, not now.

Next I tried bootrec.
/fixmbr - succesful
/fixboot - succesfull
/rebuildBCD - Total identified Windows installations: 0
/scanOS - Total identified Windows installations: 0

Next bcdedit
Nothing worked "The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found."

Next sfc /scannow
"There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again."
Then sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\Windows
"Windows resources protection didnt find integrity violations"

BCDBoot c:\WindowsFailure when attempting to copy boot files

Next diskpart - but I forgot what I did before that may have worked. All i can remember is I had to select a disk or volume, and do something with it.

I wish to continue using Google Chrome as I am most comfortable using it. However, after installing Windows 10, Chrome no longer Loads any pages. Hi all,
Wondering if someone can help. I've been having problems where my computer will be connected to the internet but wont load any pages, sometimes for hours at a time. Sometimes it will work, then spontaniously stop again. It remains connected and often still seems like information is being transferred but I can't load any web pages or they're really, really slow. Was having some problems where the connection wouldn't go through to the internet but reinstalling the updated wireless card driver seems to have stopped that.

I've been on the phone to my internet provider. They don't think it's the modem. I've run other computers off the wireless on this modem fine. Checked the IP addresses, reset the modem + checked the settings were ok, run avast, mcaffee and hitman pro scans on the computer (including a boot scan), checked the computer is on internet time, tried multiple browsers (IE, firefox, chrome), checked the LAN isn't working through a proxy nothing seems to work.

I found an old wireless adapter which I'm pretty sure should still work, the computer wouldn't work off that either.
Although the wireless is not working, the computer works fine through the cable.

I contacted ACER phone support who being their usual "helpful" selves said it sounds like a software problem reformat the computer (seems to be their defult response to any problem rather than actually trying to do anything first). Happy to do that if that's what it needs, it'll just be ... Read more

hi,
im using windows 7 64 bit and recently, as in about 3 weeks ago, major sites like yahoo and youtube fail to load at random times. ive done ccleaner and that fixed it temporarily, as well as avast and malwarebytes scans, but the problem still comes up. i've tried these sites on my desktop computer also running windows 7 64 bit to find out if maybe it was just the router or internet in my area, but the computer loaded pages with no problem. im afraid its malware, spyware, etc.. ive done a HJT scan and any help analyzing the log would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

İ am not a stranger to viiruses on my computer, and thanks to Bleeping Computer have managed to help many friends solve their problems too.
However this one has me really stumped and İ would appreciate some assistance on it.
İ have already tried the following programs and actions myself.
Restored system to earliest date possible.
Re-installed web-browsers
Ran combofix
Reg clean pro
Clean up
TDSSKiller
RogueKiller
Sysİnspector
MiniToolbox
AdwareCleaner
HitmanPro
AntiMalware Bytes
JRT
Security Check
FSS
OTL
Rootrepeal
Microsoft Fixit.

Nothing has fixed this problem and although the above programs found a few problems, the system is now supposedly completely clean, my hard disk is only approximately 30% full, any suggestions would be very much appreciated, the pc works fine other than online, which renders it an expensive paperweight (currently).

Many thanks in advance..

Answer:No downloads and internet just freezes pages wont load

Let's focus on Internet freezing without wondering about downloads yet
--- First of all you already did the gruntwork of determining that the computer is supossedly good and clean and that is definitely a good thing
I think we need a description of what is happening on internet freezing
--- For example, what happens when you try to access bleepng.com?
------ Does bleepng.com appear but you can't move beyond that?
------ Do you get an error message?
Have you doubled checked all connections from wall to modem to computer?
------ If you are working wirelessly, reconnect anyway to see if it makes a difference
Can you access your ISP homepage but cannot get into internet sites?
--- Just recently one of my friends could call up his verizon home page but couldn't go beyond that
--- The modem light for the internet wasn't green, it might not even been on, I don't recall, but he called Verizon and they reset his modem configuration
--- Are your modem lights functioning ok?
Even if all of the above appears ok, consider calling your ISP if it makes sense to you

Have you tried Safe Mode with Networking to see if you can move around on the internet the way you normally would?

How did internet access work when you were calling up the above programs?
--- I'm not really familiar on using those programs but I'd like to assume that clearing your internet cache, disk cleanup etc maintenance items have been completed

I know you said the computer runs fin... Read more

If I click on a link on a webpage that has the preface click here to it's url the page loads blank with a "Done" sign. It is very frustrating and you cannot tell which pages will have this link applied until clicked on (for example in Ebay the advertising links at the bottom of a search page all have this prefix).I have Windows Vista with Explorer 7 (possibly 8!) and have a google toolbar running. I presume it is some kind of security setting that I need to tweak. Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer:"Google lead services" pages wont load!

My browser won't load any sites with that either. I just get a WOT warning of 'This site has a bad reputation' Spam, Malware etc.(WOT = Web of Trust site advisor)

Answer:Browsers Wont Load Half The Pages, Maybe DNS Problem?

From an admin account, open a command prompt.

type ipconfig /flushdns

See if flushing DNS improves things...You could also change your DNS setting if your ISP's name server is less than wonderful:
See http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/a/free-public-dns-servers.htm for a list of alternatives...

Hi all,

Starting on Win 10 Insider preview build 14936, some web pages stopped opening. For example gmail web page, Facebook etc. It seems there is something, that prevents it to be fully downloaded and viewed.

I experience this behaviour in all standard web browsers. Firefox (49.0.2), IE 11, Chrome and also Edge.

Any suggestions will be high appreciated :-).

Thanks in advance
