I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have searched and read the topics on this, however I am apparently below beginner and need someone to walk me through the entire process. I need an email sent to myself and 2 other co-workers one day before an item listed in my spreadsheet expires. I have the expiration dates are listed in column F. I have not entered any email addresses yet.I would like, as I have read in previous threads, for the system to open and check itself daily. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I will need a very basic, step by step hand holding description.

Hello Everyone!

This is my first post here. I need your help in developing a mechanism to send an automated outlook mail, when the due date of a project is nearing 3 hours, 2 hours & 1 hour away from the current date & time. The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running when the excel file is open.

In the attached excel file, An email should go of to -email address (Col. F), with subject "number (Col. B) is due on Due date and time (Col. E)", and body "Dear Name(Col. F), please finish your project asap".

Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder sent column (Col. G) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email.

I have scoured the forum for similar problems, and although I found a number of of threads,I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

I'd really appreciate any help,

I have a real simple need. Well, it's probably simple for some. I have a sheet built to track employee hire dates and eval dates. I would like to assign excel to open everyday at a time and then evaluate the cells with the eval and raise dates to see if an email needs to be sent to the supervisor. If so a simple "there are employee items coming due" email is sent to the supervisor. The super will go to the document and take care of the rest. Dta is not real. The email with the employee name isn't the one I'll be sending to. The Team Manager at the end is where the email will be going to for all on the sheet. I would appreciate the help. Running windows 7 and office 2013.

Answer:Set email reminder based on excel

Hi, take a look at some of the posts, there are quiet a few that do just that, they may need a little editting for your purpose but...
Here's a simple module that does just that, all you need to do is wriet a amcro that fills in the blanks

Code:

Function MailData(mSubject As String, mMessage As String, Sendto As String, Optional CCto As String)
Dim eSubject As String, Sendto As String, CCto As String, EBody As String
Dim app As Object, Itm As Variant
Set app = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set Itm = app.CreateItem(0)

With Itm
.Subject = mSubject
.To = Sendto
If Not IsMissing(CCto) Then .CC = CCto
.Body = mMessage
' .Attachments.Add (NewFileName1) ' Must be complete path
.Display ' This property is used when you want
' .send
End With
Set app = Nothing
Set Itm = Nothing
End Function

P.S. You forgot to mention the Excel versio you're using

This is my first time posting on here so I hope this is the right place.

I have attached a spreadsheet I will need to populate and we would like to send staff members an email reminder before they need to do their task. Maybe a day or the morning of the day is fine, as long as they get the reminder. I was just wondering how I would go about doing that?

As the Excel file would need to be opened in order to work , I was also wondering how I would be able to set it to open on the start up of everyones machine. Even if it can only start up the programme then it will be obvious to people what they need to open.

Could the email or subject include as much info as it can. Like name, company, job title and contact number. and for it to be sent to the Asignee.

We will then change the next contact date once completed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have no prior experience with Macro/VBA and would need help in creating an excel spreadsheet where an email reminder would be sent 60 days, 30 days and 7 days respectively if the project is not completed to the email stated in the 6th column with information from its row. If its completed, the checkbox would be checked and no mail will be sent.

The email should look like:

To: <email stated in that row>
Subject: Reminder to complete project within (e.g. 60 days)

Body:
Dear all,
Reminder to complete IN1661234 by 31st Aug 2016.

<personal email signature>

Do I need to create a button where I have to click in order for those reminders to be sent or will it be sent automatically everyday as long as the spreadsheet is opened?

Also, is it possible to create 3 different email template for each reminder days, such as 60 days prior to the deadline, the subject of the email would be First Reminder, 30days would have Second Reminder and 7 days prior would have FINAL REMINDER and a urgent marked on the email?

And how do I change the email where those reminders will be sent from?

Any help with regards to the above would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Answer:Excel 2007 Macro to Send Reminder Email

desantisj, welcome to the Forum.
There are already 3 or 4 posts on this forum that have the VBA code (Macro) that you can modify for your Workbook if you can read the code. Zack has written the code so it is a bit complicated, but it should be a case of substituting your Cell references that hold the data for the ones that others have used.
Otherwise it is a case of waiting for an Excel guru to come along and help. If none of them come along I can probably help you, but I normally work with Access.

Hi lovely people!

I hope you can help me out - I'm new to macros. In regards to the attached excel file, I need to achieve 3 main goals:
Automated pop-up message - For each phone that is overdue for delivery (ie current date is more than due date), I need a pop-up message upon opening the excel sheet. The pop-up alert should say which phone is due (stock #), and how many days overdue it is (current date minus due date)
Automated email reminders - emails to send to various email accounts (individuals in my team) to remind them of overdue phones. The email should include details like the phone, stock #, supplier, due date and how many days overdue. I want the first email reminder to be sent on the due date itself, then 2nd reminder on the next day, and subsequent reminders every 3 days.
Have a separate sheet listing all the overdue items that need to be followed-up.

Lastly, but is it at all possible to create two versions of the same stock list? I.e. one sheet in English, and the other sheet in French. And any edits in either sheet will update the other version.

Cheers!

Answer:Excel help! Automated pop-up box and email reminders, and reminder list

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Have you doen a search in this forum.
There are many posts that relate to triggering a mail message based on calculations and expiry dates, etc.
You will of course need to edit some solutions for your purpose, but I do suggest you take a look (search) and probably you'll find what you need.
The question about the two languages is custom macro coding and will take some time.
Your sample contains onle one row of data, but nothing more to go on.
Do some homework (searching the forum) and someone will be able to help
Please don't forget to mention the Excel version, as far as I cansee it's at least version 2007 but it could be 2010 or newer

End Sub

Function MailData(mSubject As String, mMessage As String, Sendto As String, Optional CCto As String)
Dim eSubject As String, EBody As String
Dim app As Object, Itm As Variant
Set app = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set Itm = app.CreateItem(0)

.to = Sendto
If Not IsMissing(CCto) Then .CC = CCto
.Body = mMessage
.Save ' This property is used when you want to saves mail to the Concept folder
' .Display ' This property is used when you want to display before sending
' .Send ' This property is used if you want to send without verification
' .Attachments.Add (Filename) ' Must be complete path'and filename if you require an attachment to be included
End With

You will of course have to add your macro to send the mail and then enter a true or false in the sent column

Hi everyone. I am currently setting up a database that will hold employer contact information. This document is going to be used to keep track of when a person called the employer, the part that will require some effort and code is setting up a reminder. In this database I need to add a counter or some form of counter that keeps track of how many days its been since the employer has been contacted.

So in one field we have a spot left for Date Contacted. So based off of the information in that Date Contacted, say I contacted an employer today, what I need is for that counter to basically automatically send someone an email when its reached a predetermined amount of days since that employer has been contact for arguments sake lets just say 5 days.

IF anyone can help me with this I would be grateful, Im not very MS access savey. Currently I am working off of MS Access 2003.

I am working on a long list of temporary employees hired with "termination" dates. These dates vary. I want a reminder set to 5 days before the listed "term" date so it alerts me with a reminder. I have seen many different formulas and they work.

The problem I'm having is that there is a long list and that is a "continuing" list...so there are many blank rows. Currently I am using both conditional formatting to highlight it and I'm using the IF formula:

=IF(I2<TODAY()+5,"REMINDER","")

The problem is that it is filling in REMINDER for all of my "empty/blank" rows. I do not want it to appear other than where the data is, but I don't want to have to remember to carry the formula down. So right now I have about 22/23 rows that are filled. I want to expand my spreadsheet out to about 600 rows. But everything past the 23 rows is showing REMINDER even though there is no data in those rows. Is there something I can do to have it carry through the 600 rows, but not put in the reminder until there is data in there telling it to send a reminder? I'm using a MAC with Excel 2017. Thank you for any information.

Hi, this is my first post here and I will preface this by saying I am not familiar with VBA/VBScript language at all (only that it exists and perplexes me), which is why I'm requesting your help!
I have an Excel spreadsheet that I'd like to have send me an Outlook email reminder 6 months after the specified start date, without having to open the Excel file so the macro can run. The reminder email can be simple, just a short message like "Referral Alert: Check Spreadsheet"

I've attached a test file with the columns needed highlighted in yellow.

If this is too tall of an order, I understand!

Answer:Send Outlook reminder on specified dates from Excel

As far as I know, this is impossible in the given scenario. Macros only run once a file is loaded; therefore, not having the file loaded means any code won't execute.

This cannot be achieved with a formula you will need a macro. The requirement is fairly straight forward but we need some more information to be able to produce this. How is your workbook laid out? we need to know1) which cell has the dates in it2) which cell has the email addresses to which you want the email to be sent3) what the email body and subject will be Also please note writing it caps is considered shouting, please don't type in caps.

Yes this is very possible, how is your workbook laid out, in fact it would be better if you upload a copy REMOVING all sensitive information, or replacing that information with dummy data. Then we can have fun coding it.

Hi,

i have used the following to get automatic alerts setup when a due date is near:
https://forums.techguy.org/threads/...ue-date-reminder-based-on-excel-file.1129238/

but instead of this looking at the due date column, i would like it to look at a conditonal formatted column, which shows status as either "due" and "expired" depending on due date. i would like it send out to all those with "due tag and not "expired"

I have name in column A, details in column B, emails address in column C, status in column i, and reminder in column k
Somethng else i would like to do later on, if at all possible,is to get a particluar email from outlook be transfered to excel and and then emailed to specific people based on a status column. So if an email is recieved to say a project is extended or cancelled,, it contents is copied to excel and emailed back out to certain people.

My question is now if it is possible to have it send 2 weeks in advance, and then again in 1 week later. I know that because the cell will be occupied that it was initially sent, it will not read it again for another send. Is there a way to automatically clear a column so that it just sends an email every time its opened within that range?

Finally, where do I add the column for a CC email?
Code:

Dim toDate As Date
Dim toList As String
Dim eSubject As String
Dim EBody As String

End With
Set ws = Sheets("Master Equipment LIST")

If ws.Cells(lRow, "K").Value = "" Then Exit Sub
For i = 2 To lRow

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here. I need your help in developing a mechanism to send an automated outlook mail, when the due date of a project is 7 days away from the current date. The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running. without the excel file necessarily open.

In the attached excel file, An email should go of to -email address (Col. D), with subject "Project (Col. B) is due on Due date(Col. C)", and body "Dear Name(Col. A), please update your project status".

Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder sent column (Col. E) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email.

I have scoured the forum for similar problems, and although I found a number of of threads,I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

I'd really appreciate any help,

Thanks

Hi Everyone,
my name is steve and this is my first post. I have been asked to compile a system to recall calibrated items within the company i work for, I must stress tht my expierience with excel is very limited.
Attached is the system so far (It is the work of many butchered examples off the net, and several people who know a little at work).
I am trying to achieve a solution that when an item comes within three months of its expiry date the date column turns yellow, when 30 days or uner it turns red (Possibly gets transfere to another sheet)and then emails a short mail incluing cells B,C,D an L of that row to the "Area Owner" . I'm using office 2007, anyone think this is possible? or better still help me with this problem.
I would appreciate it so very much!

By the way, the password is ; Kalibratedbyme (capital K)
Regards,
Steve

I am looking for the best way to have emails sent out periodically based on information within a simple spreadsheet.

I work for an airline, and receive a daily audit that tells me when certain passengers flying from cities X, Y, and Z meet certain criteria. For instance a simple example would be:

Passenger Smith From Boston No Luggage
Passenger Jones From Tampa Luggage
Passenger White From Tampa No Luggage
Passenger Walker From Denver Luggage
Passenger Evans From Tampa No Luggage

Each day the names, cities will change. For this example, I would like to send a standard email to each of my city managers ONLY if their city appears on the list that day AND column C = "no Luggage".

I don't want each manager to get the whole list, but only the rows that originate from their city and only those that meet the criteria for that day. Also, how do I tell excel/outlook that if the City = Boston use email address [email protected] and if City = Tampa use email address [email protected]

I'm pretty good with the basics of excel, but not with macros (which I think may be needed?)... any advice or direction would be appreciated in solving this (hopefully) fairly simple issue!

Hi Forum,

I'm having a problem piecing together the various bits of VBA I've been finding on the internet in to something I am able to use on a worksheet laid out as follows:

Column A: Date
Column B: Item Description
Column C: Item #
Column C: Customer
Column D: Customer Email address (each cell contains multiple email addresses)

What I would like to do is have the VBA search Column A for any date greater then 6 months in the past from Today, then forward an email to the address in Column D.
The body of the email would need to contain information from Column B and Column C.

Potential problems:
I need an attachment to the email as well.
Customer ABC may be listed several times (once for each item they purchase) and I would like the email to only be sent once (with all the items) versus many times (once for each item that they purchase).
Would like to bcc the sales team and cc the operations team on the emails that go out. Those email addresses would be static - the "To" part would need to change based on the customer.

I've gone to Ron DeBruin's site but ran in to some problems with the codes that I was trying to change to meet my requirements - so I tried downloading the add in and unfortunately, I am unable to do so from work.

Can anyone help or am I doomed to sorting manually?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Everybody,

And a Happy New Year to you all!

I have been trying for several days to find a way to send date triggered emails from an Excel worksheet without joy. I have read numerous posts from this site but none seem to address my problem. I have also read and noted scripts from guru Ronde Bruin.nl and used a portion of his script in my present document. This sends an email from Excel but it is not date triggered when the program is opened. I have to do this manually.

I wish to use the Excel worksheet to notify individuals of an up coming currency requirement. At present I use conditional formatting to highlight cells when currencies are due in 28 days & 14 days. What I wish to do is also send an email when reaching the 14 days prior to the currency being due.

The 4 persons concerned all work opposing shifts and all use the same computer on different logins on an intranet system. Mail will be sent via Outlook. SendMail is not an option due to this being on an intranet with limitations.

The Excel version is 2003 and Outlook is 2007.

I am a complete newbie to VBA & coding so please put any answers in layman's terms please.

This is the code I presently use:

Sub Mail_small_Text_Outlook()
'Working in Office 2000-2007
Dim OutApp As Object
Dim OutMail As Object
Dim strbody As String

Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

In the attached xls file, the user would have this file open and would populate all the fields that are marked "User". When a date is entered into Column C, the Status (Column D) changes to "Resolved" and Send Email? (Column D) changes to "Yes".

Here is where I get confused looking at some example vba to send a selection from the worksheet to a specified email address in the same worksheet.

I would like to send the following to the email address in that row:

"Your issue {row A#} regarding UWI {row G#} has come off confidential."

When the email is sent, the Email Status (Column F) changes to Sent. Only rows with a null email status will be processed. This will prevent multuple emails from being sent.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi,

I am trying to help a co-worker automate her email notification to employees who have oustanding claims on their expenses. She has an Excel spreadsheet with five columns:

Column A: Employee Number
Column B: First Name
Column C: Surname
Column D: E-mail Address
Column E: Value

She would like to be able to run a macro to automatically send an email to each person with the suggested subject header "Unapproved Expenses Claims" and the body of:

"Hello [First Name] (from Column B)

It has been highlighted that you have submitted an expense claim for £[Value] (from Column E) which has yet to be approved by your manager.

Please could you gently remind your manager to log on to e-expenses and review and approve your claim?

Thanks for your cooperation.

Janet"

I have tried to write the macro but have failed miserably. Can anyone give me some pointers please?

Many thanks

Question: email data base

Can anyone tell me how to create / setup an email data base that can be used for my website and front page?

Answer:email data base

It depends on how you want the database set up. Do you want visitors to fill out a form and have the results go directly to the db? Like for a mailing list or something? Do you have a host for your site? Most hosting companies have a mailing list/database manager. You would then just need to set up the form and have the results go to a file on the server.

Hi all,

I have a question,
I use the following code to send a Excel workbook via Email.
Code:

Private Sub Mail_workbook_1_Click()
'Working in 97-2010
Dim wb As Workbook
Dim I As Long

Set wb = ActiveWorkbook

If Val(Application.Version) >= 12 Then
If wb.FileFormat = 51 And wb.HasVBProject = True Then
MsgBox "There is VBA code in this xlsx file, there will" & vbNewLine & _
"be no VBA code in the file you send. Save the" & vbNewLine & _
"file first as xlsm and then try the macro again.", vbInformation
Exit Sub
End If
End If

On Error Resume Next
For I = 1 To 3
wb.SendMail "[email protected]", _
"Subject"
If Err.Number = 0 Then Exit For
Next I
On Error GoTo 0
End Sub
It does the trick for so far, but it sends the e-mail directly, without showing the E-mail itself first (only a notifications shows up which tells you some program is trying to send an email).
I would like to manually select Send in the E-mailmessage, so our customers are sure that the e-mail is send correctly.

How do I change this?

An other question, the Subject of the message is now "Subject" how could I 'attach' a value from cell B9 to it?

I have a spreadsheet on which it looks as though I must have pressed "send to mail recipient", by mistake, because it now always displays with the fields "To:" etc, using up several lines. How do I get rid of all that? I can't find a cancel facility. One option I suppose would be just to send it to myself, but that would involve setting up outlook, and I don't know how to do that, given than I only ever use webmail (googlemail as it happens). I did just try setting it up with completely fictitious info, but it was too clever for me, and recognised that it couldn't achieve sending that way, so kept displaying all the stuff I don't want.

Hello

I need to come up with a simple outlook macro (or script?) that fires off whenever a new email meeting certain criteria is received.

1. new email is received with "please refresh quotes" in the subject
2. outlook runs a macro that causes another macro to run (the second macro is located in a excel workbook which is already running in my office pc)
3. the excel (attached) is simply refreshing market prices and emails whenever the macro is triggered. because the quotes are obtained via a DLL feed I can only get it at work.

the purpose is simply to get live market quotes on my personal email from my work email whenever i need.
thanks in advance for your help.

Firstly Hi,
I'm Hodge and this is my first post on this forum, please (HELP)

I have been looking around the various forum's trying to figure this out myself but with little success. There are many variants of this problem throughout these forums with many solutions, but none of which i've been able to adapt or use.

I basically run a diving team with 27+ divers and have various spread sheets to manage the team, from equipment servicing to personnel run out dates. I have been trying to find/create a Macro that will automatically send me an email, with Cc's option, when cells in column M & O turn yellow or red. Then copy all the data within that row and email the address in column P as an attachment. I have looked at Ron de Bruin's code, and tried to adapt it without success. Once I have the correct code, I believe i will be able to adapt it to most, if not all of my spreadsheets.

Hopefully someone has used this type of code before for the same reasons, Sorry must mention that I'm working on MS Office For Mac 2011, but don't think the process is much different. I don't really know much about VBA, so any help will be welcomed.

I've attached one of my spreadsheets just incase.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Hello guys, I need some help. I have an Excel spreadsheet that I use to watch financial information about companies that I buy stocks from when certain conditions are met. I use a program called XLQ which works along with Excel to extract the financial information from the internet and displays it on the spreadsheet. The numbers constantly change based on the stock market movement. I have two conditions that need to be met in order for me to buy a stock, when such conditions are met the cells change color, I have set it up that way to let me know when it is time to buy a stock.

So my question is... Is it possible to have Microsoft Excel automatically send me an email to my email inbox or cell phone when those two conditions are met and the cells change color. I would really appreciate any help with this. Let me know if you need more details about this problem I am having.

Hi cb13h,

How long have you waited for the s/s to fully open?

I have seen the very same when using Outlook Exchange Server and a s/s (or other file) of a large size such that it just takes a long time to download, but you do see part of it in a window overlapping the e-mail window.

Task Manager reports that Outlook is not responding, but if you wait long enough the s/s does eventually open.

Rather than opening the s/s in the email, have you tried saving the attachment first; that way you will see the hour-glass and see how long it takes to download.

I need a simple data base to keep track of inventory items, mainly just simple data like cost, taxes, shipping, sales price and profit.

I have a Access DB started up and everything seems fine and I can get a over all sum of items from the top down but if I want it to autofill, like I have on colum that is purchase price, the next one is tax, the third one is total, how can I make it auto add or subtract within the same row?

Maybe it would be easier to use excel for what I need but I would rather use Access since it seems like it is a lot more powerful for DB's

Similary the other marketing guy also gets email. Preferably if the mail can contain subject as " Vishal Followups for 01.12.14"

I am not knowledgable regarding coding but can handle stuff at my computer otherwise. I am attaching a copy of excel file for better understanding. Thanks a lot guys in advance.
BTW my default mail client is Outlook.

I have a personnel tracker that tracks required documents that need to be renewed every year. There are 4 of these and each has a seperate column for each date. They are J,L,T and U.

I would like excel to scan each of these columns every time the document is opened for any of those dates that are 60-65 days from expiring, I use Now()-300 to check this.

My workplace has a Web-based email service. Most of the time, I can access it just fine. But now and then, and never with any consistency, I can't access the email portion of that site. I can access everything else on the site, just not the email. This is the same for all three of my home computers. When I hop onto my Sprint card via my laptop, I can access my work emails just fine. When I resync my modem, then all is well and I can access my email just fine.

I have tested my network by running a wire from my Comcast business modem to my one desktop computer, bypassing the wireless router. Still, I can't access the email portion of the Web site.

Any suggestions. Please keep it simple, I'm not as smart about the ever-emerging technology as I once was.

Hi,

I have multiple Excelsheets where in I use it for day today activites & tracking.
I have attached one of the simple one so that I can know the codes for sending mails & I can do it my self for the rest of the workbooks.

There is a sheet(dash board) where in all the details get updated.
When there are any changes to the value in column F, a mail should automatically sent to me giving the detials of the row. The file will be always live in the server.

I am very poor in coding & I need someone to help me in doing this.

Thanks in advance.

I found how to send an email from an Excel Macro (http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/1056070-solved-excel-email-outlook-code.html)

Here is the code I'm using:
Code:

Sub Email_Test()
'
' Macro11 Macro
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+r
Dim eSubject As String
Dim Sendto As String
Dim CCto As String
Dim Body As String
Dim app As Object
Dim Itm As Variant
Set app = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set Itm = app.CreateItem(0)
'Populate variables

mSubject = "Excel EMail Test"
Sendto = "[EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL]"
CCto = ""
mMessage = "You have received Knowledge Document Feedback for your domain."

With Itm
.Subject = mSubject
.To = Sendto
If Not IsMissing(CCto) Then .CC = CCto
.Body = mMessage
' .Attachments.Add (NewFileName1) ' Must be complete path
.Display ' This property is used when you want
' .send
End With
Set app = Nothing
Set Itm = Nothing
End Sub
Is there a way to format the message section with bullets? How about paragraph breaks?

Name: John Doe

Date: 6/15/2012
Doc #: KM123456
Etc:
Etc:
Comments:
I'm perfictly willing to look at how-to documentation if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Answer:Solved: Formatting Excel Macro Email Message Section

Hi, I haven't really looked myself but instead of bullets I generally use a dash and a tab
Paragraph as such are not possible but you have the linefeed and carriage return

example to add to your macro code before calling the mail proc
Code:

Dim mytext as string
mytext = vbnullstring
mytext = "Dear Jon Doe" & vbclrf & vbcrlf
mytext=mytext & "-" & chr(9) & "Date :" & the date variable & vbcrlf
mytext=mytext & "-" & chr(9) & "Doc #:" & the dos variable & vbcrlf
mytext = mytext & "-" & chr(9) & "Etc :" "etcetera"
mytext = mytext & vbcrlf & vbcrlf
mytext = mytext & "Sincerely yours," & vbcrlf & vbcrlf
mytext = mytext & "Jane Doe" & vbcrlf

vbcrlf can also be replaced wij Chr(10) or Chr(13)

See it this helps.

Maybe html formattingis possible but this works just as fine.

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to stretch my resources and minimize some data entry, using the tools at hand. However, I've hit a bit of a wall on inspiration - looking for some ideas.

I have an Excel Spreadsheet (about 8 worksheets) that I use to log some daily activities - however, because I have a lousy memory, I like to email myself from the road with the notes for my Log. Then, when I return to the office, I either re-type (or copy/paste) my email notes into the appropriate sections of my log file.

What I'd LIKE to do is create a form and rule in Outlook that would auto-fill my Excel worksheets based on the text of my email. I'm not worried about Triggers (the rules setup on that end is simple enough for me), I'm more looking for the best way to have Outlook interact with Excel in this way.

I send emails from the road on my Android phone.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Answer:Solved: Excel mail a row/rows to email addres in range

Hi

Attached is an example of how you would send emails automatically from your spreadsheet. If your "real" spreadsheet is in any way different from the example the macro will need to be adjusted, Also, I used column H to identify when an email has been sent and told the macro not to re-send to that address(es). If you do want to re-send you would need to delete the notation in column H.

I need a code that will allow the workbook to be emailed when Column A is populated by certian numbers. The numbers in column A corespond to particular email addreses. This is the code I've been working but it isn't functional.

Sub Email_Out()
If Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A5:A200") = "190030001" Then
ActiveWorkbook.SendMail Recipients:=("[email protected]")
ElseIf Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A5:A200") = "190450025" Then
ActiveWorkbook.SendMail Recipients:=("[email protected]")
End If
End Sub

All help is greatly appreciated!

Hi all

Looking for some help! Working on an excel document which contains a button I need to send to multiple people, that's fine what I need is for the subject field of the email to take the contents of a particular cell in the workbook and display that. My current code is;
Code:
Sub SendThis_ActiveWorkbook()

Dim Recip()
With ActiveWorkbook

ReDim Preserve Recip(0)
Recip(0) = "[EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL]"
ReDim Preserve Recip(1)
Recip(1) = "[EMAIL="[email protected]"]example[/EMAIL][EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL]"
.SendMail Recipients:=Recip, _
Subject:="Vacancy Authorisation " & Format(Date, "dd/mmm/yy")
End With

End Sub
Basically I want the subject to be "Vacancy Authorisation [cell contents] 01/01/2000" so I want the contents of a cell to appear in between the date and the "vacancy authorisation" part of the subject line. Assistance appreciated!

Answer:Solved: Excel email macro auto-populate subject line

Subject:="Vacancy Authorization " & Range("A1").Value & " " & Format(Date, "dd/mmm/yy")

An Excel Macro to find only the exact wordn & copy rows based on a keyword listI am using the below scriptSub carHunter()'Determine last row with data in Sheet 3 Column A lastSrc_rw = Sheets(3).Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row'Loop through list of cars For Each car In Sheets(3).Range("A1:A" & lastSrc_rw)'Search for each car, copy row if found With Sheets(1).Columns(1) Set c = .Find(car, LookIn:=xlValues, lookat:=xlPart) If Not c Is Nothing Then firstAddress = c.Address Do'Find next open row in Sheet 2 nxtDst_rw = Sheets(2).Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row + 1'Copy row containing found car c.EntireRow.Copy Destination:=Sheets(2).Range("A" & nxtDst_rw)'Search for same car again, stop when no more found Set c = .FindNext(c) Loop While Not c Is Nothing And c.Address <> firstAddress End If End With NextEnd SubBut if this script is searching for es then it wll copy all words whch has ed on it.Please help. want to copy only that row which has the exact value.

Answer:An Excel Macro to find only the exact wordn & copy rows base

First a posting tip...Please click on the blue line at the end of this post and read the instructions on how to post VBA code in this forum.As for your question, the Lookat argument for the .Find method is set to xlPart which means that it will return any value where the search string is found, even if it is only part of the cell.e.g. Searching for the text string "hat" will find "hat", "that", "top hat", "hate", etc.If you only want to return values that are an exact match, change that argument to xlWhole. In that case the entire cell must match the search argument exactly.Since I can't see your data from where I'm sitting, I am going to guess that the cells that contain "ed" also contain "es" somewhere in the cell.Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

Hi,

Im quite new to this excel programming thing and could really do with some help.

I need to send an automated email to 3 recipients (always the same 3 email addresses) when a number (formatted from a countdown of days to go) is 10 or less. Also i need a different automated email to be sent when a date is manually entered into a different cell.

I have managed to get the current date and time on my spreadsheet and used the format to work out the days to go to the deadline.

I have looked over all different types of forums but unfortunately because i'm still very green when it comes to excel i get lost and confused when trying to do this.

Is there anyone out there who can treat me as an alien and help me through this step by step.???

I dumped Firefox as a browser because of 'plugin-container' gobbling up all my mojo.

I loaded Google Chrome and it's very spiffy, but a different program (my database manager) when you click the button next to the email address it will no longer open a virgin email in Windows Mail like it used to. I don't know what code to drop into the "path" box on my program to get it back. Jack - [email protected]
