Question: Sending Email Reminders to Different people from Excel

Hi!
I am using Excel to track many IP deliverables for a project. almost 100 IP's
In the excel I have Initial/current/Acutal/date of IP delivery.
Based on the Aligned(Actual) IP delivery scheduled date, I am looking at how to automatically send Email reminder to the IP Provider on or before the aligned from Excel.
Please do let me know how I can acheive this automation.

I looking how I can automate in excel to send reminders to the IP Providers.
Based on the Actual delivery date, I need to automate the excel to send out reminders.

Hi all,

I am looking for help on VB script to send automated emails based on the dated column in excel sheet..
I need to send reminders to the email addresses in Column J & K to remind them that the vehicle registration in Column B is due an MOT on the date in Column M, also to send a reminder that the Tax is due on the date in Column P. these emails need to be sent 14 days before the due dates.
I also require Column N & Q to generate at date and time when the reminder was sent.
I would much appreciate any help with this as I am completely new to VB script, I have attached the file to aid in any help

Hi There

I would like to set up an automatic email reminder for the attached workbook

I would like an email reminder to be sent 1 year prior to the expiry date in (COL F) then 3 months prior and then again when due
I would like to send the reminder to my own and potentially multiple emails.

To set up a macro as such would the programme and said file need to be open. every time the computer starts up?

The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running. without the excel file necessarily open.

I have searched the forum for similar problems but I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

In the attached excel file, An email should go to email address (Column D-Some will have more than 1 email entries ), with subject "Task (Column B) is due on Due date(Column C)", and body "Dear Name(Column A), Please complete the task".

Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder 1 sent column (Column E) (30 days) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email. The script should put a check mark on Reminder 2 sent column (Column F) (7 days)

I want to send an email, blindcarboncopy, to more than 19 recipients at once. My Internet Service Provider, namely Orange, will not permit me to do this since it blocks transmission when I click on "Send". My operating system is Windows XP with Outlook Express 6.Is any free software available which would allow me to blindcarboncopy to, say, up to 100 undisclosed recipients at once?

It's not an issue with your software - it's an issue wth Orange. Try phoning them and asking them to lift the block.

How do I send my list of email contacts in 'File Explorer' to the 'People' app?

Then click on export....See below:

Save the file to desktop.

Then goto outlook or hotmail or live on the web...
Sign in and goto people:
Then click on manage then add people:
Then "Import a file"
import the file saved earlier from the desktop.

Hi All,

I am new to VBA and although there are many links in the forum regarding the topics of using Excel to send Email reminders to Outlook, my requirement requires an additional option which i do not know how to program to make it work. I hope I can be assisted.

I am currently using Outlook & Excel 2010, Windows 7.

Using the attached test example, I have created a spreadsheet which is used daily. It requires a reminder email to be automatically sent out ONLY if the following is triggered.

Row H (Send Reminder) must show YES, then it will only send on the date shown on Row G (Due Date). However, if Row H shows NO, it will not send even though Row G has Due Dates.

The body of the reminder message would say:

Subject: Reminder

The project assigned to you under reference number, "cell D3" in the name of "from cell E3" for the confirmation date of "from cell N3" is now G3 - C3 days old.

If this has been completed, please ignore.

Hi lovely people!

I hope you can help me out - I'm new to macros. In regards to the attached excel file, I need to achieve 3 main goals:
Automated pop-up message - For each phone that is overdue for delivery (ie current date is more than due date), I need a pop-up message upon opening the excel sheet. The pop-up alert should say which phone is due (stock #), and how many days overdue it is (current date minus due date)
Automated email reminders - emails to send to various email accounts (individuals in my team) to remind them of overdue phones. The email should include details like the phone, stock #, supplier, due date and how many days overdue. I want the first email reminder to be sent on the due date itself, then 2nd reminder on the next day, and subsequent reminders every 3 days.
Have a separate sheet listing all the overdue items that need to be followed-up.

Lastly, but is it at all possible to create two versions of the same stock list? I.e. one sheet in English, and the other sheet in French. And any edits in either sheet will update the other version.

Have you doen a search in this forum.
There are many posts that relate to triggering a mail message based on calculations and expiry dates, etc.
You will of course need to edit some solutions for your purpose, but I do suggest you take a look (search) and probably you'll find what you need.
The question about the two languages is custom macro coding and will take some time.
Your sample contains onle one row of data, but nothing more to go on.
Do some homework (searching the forum) and someone will be able to help
Please don't forget to mention the Excel version, as far as I cansee it's at least version 2007 but it could be 2010 or newer

Good day!!! how are you all? Can somebody please tell me how do i send one email in Outlook Express but it reaches many different people. I have 6 people i need to send the same message to and i don't feel like sending the same message to them one by one. Anybody please help. thank you! This is a knock-out site and a great service.

Just click on the T0:, CC: or BCC and the "Select Receipent" window will open.
Then highlight the first name and hold down the Ctrl Key and select the rest of the names and then click the appropriate To: CC: or Bcc: and click OK.

I would recommend the Bcc: then everybody doesn't see everybody else's address.

Hello,

I'm asking this for a friend of mine. He's trying to find out if there is a way to send an email to everyone in his inbox (not in his contacts). He has roughly 2600 emails in his inbox and wants to clear it out, but first wants to send an email to all of them saying he's about to delete all of them and if they sent something important to resend it in a couple days. He uses Gmail if that matters. Thanks for the help.

I'm in HR and I have a spreadsheet that incorporates staff information commencing, with each month in a new sheet. Unfortunately, department managers are forgetting to do staff reviews at 3mth, 5mth or the 6mth probation. I've entered formula to calculate these dates from the staff commencement date.
Now I need to find out if I can have some sort of Macro or VBA coding to email me a reminder to contact the managers a week prior to the the review/probation dates.

Please help! I have no idea with coding/programming etc.

Try the attached, one thing to note that you had the probation dates in the wrong place

6mth, 3mth and 5mth

so I changed it to 3\5\6

when you open the workbook the macro will run and generate an email IF any dates is below or equal to 7 and above or equal to zero. Meaning that there is a week until the review is required. This code will fail if the review date is in the past, this can be changed to tell you that a review date has been exceeded.

A while ago, OBP helped me create an excel sheet that automatically sends me an email when a cell displays "send". Lately it has been sending an email regardless of whether the cell displays send. It's also not displaying the "action required" in the email. I was hoping someone could point out what's wrong as I messed with the visual basic language too much. I was also hoping someone could tell me whether I could use a button control instead of the macro firing whenever the file is opened.

Im very new to VBA, two weeks in the learning. I am trying to set it up so that when a cell on row g (sheet2) states YES. An single email is sent out to an address stated on sheet(1). Problem im getting is im recieving 80 emails. And none of Row g on sheet 2 is stating yes. Also can someone tell me how to make it send only a single email if more then one cell states yes.

So, this is a loaded question. Let's first get all the information out on the table, then we'll be able to give you directions on how to best solve this.

See if I understand this correctly. You have a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet is located on your desktop computer. In this workbook you have a worksheet which contains data. The data is a list of trucks in some range (not yet specified), difference insurance information (not specified) and their expiration dates (in a range not yet specified). So from this we don't know the workbook name, worksheet name, data range where this data lies, nor a sample of the data housed in this mysterious range. In not trying to go overboard, can you please give us some specifics about this missing information?

Once we know the above information we'll know where we're starting from. This is only half the equation. The other half is what you actually want done. Also, this second part is easier if you fully define the first part. In other words, to properly describe an end point (e.g. solution) it's best to have a well documented/defined starting point (e.g. problem).

Let's say, for arguments sake (since we're not very well defined at the moment), that what you're looking for in a solution is to notify you + 1 other in the event of these expiration dates coming close to the current system date. Some questions I would ask is:

How can I send just one sheet from a workbook of several sheets by email ? I am sure it can be done (as I have received a view of just specific cells before). Microsoft excel 2003 (as part of microsoft office 2003 small business edition), on XP professional 2002 service pack 3.

I have a spreadsheet on which it looks as though I must have pressed "send to mail recipient", by mistake, because it now always displays with the fields "To:" etc, using up several lines. How do I get rid of all that? I can't find a cancel facility. One option I suppose would be just to send it to myself, but that would involve setting up outlook, and I don't know how to do that, given than I only ever use webmail (googlemail as it happens). I did just try setting it up with completely fictitious info, but it was too clever for me, and recognised that it couldn't achieve sending that way, so kept displaying all the stuff I don't want.

It does the trick for so far, but it sends the e-mail directly, without showing the E-mail itself first (only a notifications shows up which tells you some program is trying to send an email).
I would like to manually select Send in the E-mailmessage, so our customers are sure that the e-mail is send correctly.

How do I change this?

An other question, the Subject of the message is now "Subject" how could I 'attach' a value from cell B9 to it?

It would be pretty simple I guess, but I can't find the answers.

Hi is there a way to send an automatic email of a workbook on a certain date?

For example workbook 1 needs to be sent at the end of every month automatically when opened.

Is that the last day or the last working day? If the latter, define "working".

The Analysis Toolpak add-in (you'd have to check if you have it installed) has some useful additional functions, such as EOMONTH.

Today (20th March), the formula:

=NETWORKDAYS(TODAY(),EOMONTH(TODAY(),0))

returns 8. That probably means that there are 8 working days left this month, including today. Of course, this month is a bad example because of Easter; NETWORKDAYS' 3rd argument "Holidays" is something you'd have to plug in.

Some very basic "workbook open" code could check the value of such as formula and act accordingly (i.e. if formula result = 1, do x-y-z). You might also need to set a flag to handle the workbook being opened > once on the "last" day.

Beyond that (or maybe even instead of), Ron de Bruin has lots of snazzy SendMail stuff.

Hi, I have a risk register which has action by dates for owners of that particular risk. I would like to set up a VBA code that automatically sends each owner an email reminder, through outlook, 5 days before the action date. One owner may have multiple risks due on the same date so I would like the code to send 1 email detailing all the item numbers that the owner has to look at (however this is not at the top of my requirements if it causes issues). I would like the email to include the "Number" (Col. A) in the body listing which risks the owner should look at along with a message reminding them that the action by date is near. Also i want this to be automated, I want the code to run once and send emails as time goes on. Also i will need to change the action by dates as new information is available, can the code account for this change and send another email when the new action by date is near? Greetings all,
I am a novice at best on using excel, but through some searching and experimentation I have managed to get to a roadblock I cannot pass. I am working on setting up a workbook that emails at specific dates for reminders to people in my department. I believed I had it working however I have run into two issues.
One is a run type error 13 that highlights toDate = Replace(Cells(i, 3), ".", "/") when I run the debug.

The second is that no matter what I try to do I continue to receive error messages. Can I ask that one of the very talented excel knowledgeable people here look to find where I am making my errors?

Hi All!

I am having major difficulty figuring out excel. I am using a spreadsheet and want excel to automatically send an email to the user in that row when a contract is expiring. Within the row I have the specified user's email, the end date of the contract, and when the reminder email should go out. I have tried playing around with Macros and VBA coding, but I have no idea what I am doing. I am using excel 2003. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I am using Outlook as my email. For the past few weeks, I have not been receiving email notification reminders for my WLM Calendar events. Everything else is working OK but I do rely on my calendar reminders.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to cure it, or is this a good time to move on to Mozilla Thunderbird.

Any view on this please ?

Whilst writing, I would like to mention that although I have checked the box to receive instant email notifications, I do not appear to be receiving any. On my previous posting, although there were several replies, I did not receive ANY email notification. Can someone explain what is happening here please and could these problems be related in any way ?

I'm rather surprised (and disappointed too) that I haven't had any replies to this posting. Over 170 people have viewed it without sharing their knowledge or giving help in some way. Maybe everyone has gone on holiday but in the meantime, the situation is still the same 0 I am not receiving calendar reminders for WLM events.

I have a spread sheet that contains review dates in some colums. Is it possible to link excel to outlook so I automatically receive reminders via outlook a week prior to each date. I have been told it can be done but I am not sure how. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi All,

I have a File in which i store all the billing records of my transmission circuits, but most of the times, i missed billing of some circuits or vendor didn't send the bill.

Is there any mechanism in Excel 2007 through which i get notified either via Popup or email or ballon notification about the missing bill?

Hi im trying to sort out a system for work that allows me to receive e-mails about 2 weeks before a piece of equipment is due to be calibrated. This runs on a yearly cycle but we have enough equipment to be doing this every week. I have set up an excel sheet with all the information on and currently have to scroll through this all manually which is time consuming. I noticed the thread

Hi guys! I've been looking on this forum for quite some time and I did find some useful information about creating outlook reminders in Excel. However, I didn't find exactly what I am looking for.

I need to create different reminders using information in the same line. I have attached an example of my document. I have 12 tabs, each representing a month. All upcoming groups are separating by their arrival date. Each group has either 1 or 2 deposits required by a certain date, And some groups have a rooming due by another date.

For exemple, in January, I have Montcorr coming. 1st deposit is due on 12/30, 2nd deposit on 01/02. The rooming list of due on 01/09. As for the deposits, I need to receive a reminder the day of. As for the rooming list, I need a reminder 3 days before the due date.

Can somebody please help me out? I know this might be a little complex... But thank you!!!

Every time I log on to MSN on my PC it randomly sends msg's to people. Usually it's something like "Do I look ugly in this pic" and it would send then a .zip file. Luckily ppl are smart enough to not accept it. I've tried Ad Aware but this keeps coming back. Please help!

I am a very old lady and, though still competent, tend to forget. Particularly, I tend to forget to look at my calendar where I write down commitments, etc. I have now twice forgotten to pay taxes on time, and I forgot to attend a lecture for which I had gotten a ticket a while earlier.

But I do look at my email every day. Is there a way I can set up a calendar that would automatically send me an email at a certain date, reminding me to pay my taxes, upcoming birthdays, etc.?

I use exclusively Operamail.com for email. It's my home page. I did discover such a calendar at Google and entered crucial dates on it, but since I never look at it (and would forget to look at it the way I forget to look at my paper calendar), it really doesn't do me any good.

Please, any suggestions?

"calendar at Google" -- if you navigate to that, then open your Operamail.com in a new tab, then go File > Session > Save this session, then assign a session name, then make sure "Show these tabs every time I start" is checked, then click OK ...

... you'll get your calendar page and your mail page every time you fire it up.

I have to take medication twice a day and I'm too often missing the second one about 10pm. It would help if I had a daily email reminder about this as I should hear the reminder arriving, either on my laptop or on my phone. Gmail help says this is possible - see pic - but nowhere can I find the Create button. I don't want to create this as a forever recurring event in Calendar as it clutters up the display too much.

Any ideas?

I use this gadget - sits on my desktop and can be set for multiple times and is customizable to notify you with a song on your comp, if you choose to do so.

And i have a similar problem i could use some help with. Now that i think about it it might be harder than original thought of. I have a workbook with 12 sheets, one for each month. For each month i have a list of Magazines titles all in separate rows in one one column. to the right of those, i have each day of the day of the month. I have attached a sample spreadsheet of what i mean. On any day a sales rep will call me and book a day they want to send a email, or eBlast message to subscribers of the particular magazine they choose. I would love to have the option to have an automatic email send to each sales rep 5 days before ther scheduled booking is to be sent out, only problem is how would i extract the email address from a comment in excel, and have ti send a email to that person?

Another idea i had was to creative a booking sheet for which each sales rep would fill it out with fields such as Clients Name, Date to send email, Type of email, Geo targets, creative elements in email etc etc. is there a way that once i approve this and send back the excel file with an approved icon or logo and some notes, can it automatically, even without being open, send an email or reminder to the user i sent it to?

i greatly appreciate any comments as i know i most likely trying to ask for the world here.

Can anyone please assit me on how to make an Excel workbook give me a reminder via Outlook.
I want a reminder that will tell me when a specific task has not yet been completed.
we send requests to a custodian when we a looking for a document. on the excel sheet we enter the date we sent the request, but I want a reminder when the received date column has not been updated if I have not received the documents within 3 days time in order to follow up with the person.

Hi friends,

I have not used Excel for ages apart from basic adding formulas etc.

What I am trying to do is make a set point (date) that turns a box red if one year has passed since the original date entered.
(not sure if I have explained it very well?)

ie
I am making a list of alarms on some machinery & want to show that the alarms have been tested within the past 12 months.
If I do not get around to testing, I would like the relevant field to change colour, so that a simple check upon opening the spreadsheet will tell me what is overdue on testing.(eventually there will be a lot of different alarms within the spreadsheet)
I am not sure if it will be easier to make an "issue date" then another field for "review date" or just have the one field that will turn red if today's date passes 365 from the last test date? (is that possible?)

I am sure it is easy - unfortunately, not for me!

Answer:Excel formula for annual reminders

You need to apply conditional formatting to the cell you want to change colour.

Condition is the formula type. Formula is

=today()>=(yourissuedatecell+365)

In the formatting, select fill colour to suit and any special borders / font formatting. Hit apply.

You can change the range affected by the formatting, but you might need to lock the column / row, depending on what you're trying to do.

No need for a due date field

two or so weeks ago people started telling me my msn was sending them links for random websites.
i run windows live messenger.
When "i" send these websites to people, i t does not appear in my chat screen only theirs so i was completely unaware of this problem.
this had happened before but i just did a search for anything recent that was downloaded and deleted anything i didn't download and the problem dissapeared
this time i ran the search *.* for the past month and deleted practically everything i had downloaded except things from legit sources and the problem was still around.
i tried running super antispyware but that did not come up with anything.
im at a loss at what to do and do not have the money to buy any fancy programs to find this whatever it is.

I used Outlook 2000 on my last XP computer but Outlook 2000 does not work on Windows 7. While I've found a number of email clients that do the email job credibly, I can't find an email client program with a calendar that has reminders like Outlook. That is, I want something to pop up on my screen to remind me I have a dentist appointment in one hour, or I have to go someplace tomorrow, or I have a deadline coming up in three days.

I prefer something that resides locally on my machine. The calendar in Windows Live Mail is nice, but no reminder function. I think if I go online and register with Windows Live, they may have some sort of option where they send you an email reminding you of appointments, but that doesn't sound like the reminders function of Outlook. Besides, Microsoft knows enough about me already, I don't want them tracking my appointments.

Does anyone know of a resident email client with a calendar containing a reminder (alarm) function?

I know Office 2007 in Outlook as this function.. and Office 2003...Which are able to run under Windows 7..

You could just get Outlook and nothing else if you already a use a Office Program..(I just looked at the price it would be cheaper not to get the whole Office Suite...and just Outlook

My excel sheet has 3 columns.

1st column has email ids
2nd column has has Name of employee
3rd column has their respecive DOB

My requiremnet is;

An auto generated email (saying "today is xyz, abc's birthday") should be sent to everyone in the list whenever there is someone's birthday.

Also, can this be achieved even if the excel sheet is closed? If we use the google spreadsheet and write some script for the auto alert? let me know if this is posible.

I have read tons of pages from this forum hoping to create a killer excel workbook so my daily tasks can be completed way faster and more efficient, however I have hit a brick wall. That brick wall is called "How in (insert whichever holy character you want)'s name do I get Outlook to obey Excel".

My request is rather simple, yet I don't have the brains for it. Once a week, probably on Monday, based on the attached excel, I want to send specific e-mails to colleagues informing them which documents should they start writing based on the "Deadline to be filled" column and to also inform them what is going to happen based on the Column "When will it happen". Here's how I think the code should be displayed in my humble and unadvised opinion:

I have been tasked to keep track of follow ups for Implementation dead lines.

This is my first post here. I need your help in developing a mechanism to send an automated outlook mail, when the due date is 14 days away from being implemented/addressed. The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running. without the excel file necessarily open.

In the attached excel file, An email should go of to -email address (Col. J), with subject "Audit Follow Up_Audited Function (Col. A) is due on Due date(Col. I)", and body "Dear Name(Col. K), Reminder - Audit Follow up on Implementation Date"
Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder sent column (Col. L) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email.

I have scoured the forum for similar problems, and although I found a number of of threads,I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

I'd really appreciate any help. I've attached my sample spreadsheet.

i recently got a virus that seems to be spawning more and more when i scan my computer with AVG and malwarebytes nothing shows up (1 did in malware bytes got it out in safe mode) in the scans but then at random times AVG gives me warnings about a virus that it is unsuccessful at removing my computer is constantly freezing and crashing and going blue screen , and system restore is unsuccessful also as one of the many virus's is in the restore files avg says when it gives me a warning of the many virus's it detects ,also i cant seem to send any thing in a message or IM or post any thing on my computer so i had to put the HJT log on a usb and post it from my other computer that im on now

My computer is sending out spam to 3 people that I know of. I have even deleted one of the names from Outlooks Address book but that does not help. It seems only to happen when Outlook is running ("up" or minimized). I am running Windows xp.

Hi,
I installed a trial of Norton Antivirus 2008 the other day, and I have found that something/someone is using my computer to send about 100 emails a minute to random addresses, whenever I connect to the Internet. I tried to fix it by doing a virus scan with Norton Antivirus, but the emails were still being sent, so I downloaded NOD32, Spybot S&D, Avira Antivir and AVG Free and did virus scans with all of them. They found a lot of viruses, but nothing had changed.

What should I do to fix this? Any help will be appreciated.

I have a project at work where I have to send the same email to 30 different people (the office uses Microsoft Outlook).

I have set up a distribution list but I want to keep each individual email address private from the other members of the group but whenever I have tested this (using staff email addresses not the ones I want keeping private) whoever receives the email can see all the email addresses of the other people the email was sent to.

Is there a way to stop this from happening, can it be set up so only the name of the contacts appears rather than their full email address?

Look in the email program and put a check mark on BCC. That mean Blind Carbon Copy.When you select that function, no one can see the other email addresses the message was sent to.

Two questions:

Using Outlook Express, how do you blind copy a message that you're sending to multiple persons, so that the recipients do not see the email addresses of the other recipients?

Also, how do you send email to a group of people at one time, where the recipients will see that it was sent to "undisclosed-recipient:;" ?

Answer:Sending messages to multiple people

When you go to "create mail" go to "View">and tick "all headers" This displays BCC. you can add all the recipients to this.
You can practice by sending to your own address.

To create a New group, open your address book> click on file and then "New group". And then follow your nose from there.

I don't use this so I don't know much about it but a friend of mine wants to send some small video of her grandaughter to her son. We have tried AIM, Live messenger etc. but it is really slow and it stops after a couple of minutes and says an error has occured. They are about 167mb each. As I said I don't know much about this so can anyone tell me if these are too large to send? If so, what does she do? How can we send these to her son? Thanks.

You can use rapidshare to share the file, thing with that is it becomes open to the public, or you could burn it to a CD and send it via snail mail.

I use Windows live messenger and can share any size of file with friends using the sharing folder feature, last one I shared was about 300megs.

You dont say if your using dial up or broadband, but if its dial up then any type of file transfer will have problems regardless of the size.

Lastly try converting the video to the popular Xvid format, this will shrink the file size down a bit dependant on what the type is now.

I just reinstalled Vista due to viruses. I was using Office 2000 with a large .PST file with important emails and folders. After failing with 2000 and having lockups and crashes trying to open up outlook I got and installed Office 2007 thinking it would work better with Vista. I launched the new outlook and it automatically imported my settings from the previous version. Briefly I saw that it imported my folders and old emails, then it started hanging. My cursor rapidly blinks the arrow and twirling circle icon. If I try to move the window it says "not responding". When it did free up it popped up a window saying there were over 2000 reminders. I assume it's seeing all email as new and it thinks it has to remind me off all of them. I would tell it to ignore all of them and then it starts hanging again. I've tried turning off reminders in the advanced options of "other" options but when I relaunch outlook reminders are checked off again. I've tried launching in safe mode with "outlook /safe" and still ge the above problem. Once it finally stopped and I was able to download my email but I think reminders came up again and crashed my machine. It could have been another issue though. Now I've launched again and it's been hanging like this for over 10 minutes. What is it doing? Scanning my emails, something with reminders? Should I wait. Any help is appreciated. I would wait outlook 2007 is a bit notorious for not being able to handle large imports and then having to reorganize everything then having to try and import new mail so just let it do its thing and let it be and see what happens.

i am new here i might stumble a bit, my apologies in advance. i am a Marine engineer by profession and now i have been helping out in the office since we don't have a Technical Manager, my computer software skills are also limited that is why i need help.

i have 45 crew reporting to me with all sorts of certificates with different expiry dates. i have managed to compile an excel spreadsheet with their names including certificates but since i am in between operations and the office i need excel reminders to my emails and to one nominated person at least 60 days before expiry to avoid catastrophic shipping delays while people are revalidating their certificates.

please find attached spreadsheet with names and relevant certificates (highlighted in green). your assistance will be forever appreciated. i will be glad if i can able to do it by myself so when changes are needed i can just execute them. thank you in advance.

Hi Everyone!! This is my first post here. I need your help in developing a method of sending automated emails on Gmail when the due date of Insurance payment is 7 days before the current date and an email when the due date has expired.

So as per the attached excel file an email should go to (Col H) when due date (Col F) is 7 days before current date, with the message "Payment of Rs. (Col E) is due for Policy Number (Col D), (Policy name (Col C)) for (Owner name (Col B))"

I have searched through various forums for similar problems but could not really find a solution, as I am not proficient with VBA to tweak the code as per my needs.

Any help would be really appreciated!

I seem to have gotten a AIM Virus where it randomly decides to begin spamming TONS of people on my buddly list with tons of links. Saying like, "rofl this looks like you" and then has a link. Or, "Isn't this you", with another link. It really really sucks. Please help .

I use Outlook for email, from Office 2007 Professional because the accounting program and my Palm Pro PDA likes it.

Just recently I have had a couple of complaints that emails with a video attached I have forwarded have been delivered to the addressee in excess of 30 or 40 times.

The latest was last night when one of my sons said he had received it 104 times, and another friend in the USA 99 times, needless to say both aren't happy, the video was a wmv (3mb).

When my son called me a an hour or so later it was still in my outgoing mail box, obviously because it was still sending.

I have run full AV scan using Esset Nod32 which came up clean, so I&#8217;m at a loss where else the problem is or where/what to look for.

Hi i have a excel file which has Serial No , Task and date of completion as 3 ccolumns.
I keep on missing the tasks. I heared from somwwhere that we can create automatic reminder in outlook based date picked from excel. I want the same. Example on 1, april, 2010 - if i have to go to my lawer, the in outlook on 1st-Apr-2010 a reminder comes , visit to lawer Mr. XXXXXX.

I have a list of personnell working for us and in one column is their Dates of Birth (DOB) in DD/MM/YY format, what I want to do is filter or show easily who's birthday is coming up in a give period of time. I've tried using the filter function but it only seems to work on the year and I can;t get it to filter on month. I'm using Excel 2007

My antivirus software is showing that I'm sending email that I'm not sending! I don't even know where it is sending from. And it is yucky SPAM headlines that it looks like it is sending. I use AVAST anitvirus. I'm on a wireless laptop running xp home. Microsoft outlook express and hotmail and gmail are the email accounts that I use.

Intermittently, Outlook 2007 will crash while sending an email and, needless to say, the email is not sent. However I wanted to know if there is a temp or backup copy of that mail anywhere. I've looked in drafts and it's not there.

I've sometimes typed a very long email and then lost the whole email when Outlook crashes so I just wanted to know if, like Word, there is a temp file that may be created.

Hello,

A friend of mine is having a problem that I am aware of because I am on the receiving end! He has an email account with AOL for years and I'm sure he doesn't want to lose it. Yesterday, I received four emails from his email address that he didn't sent.

Comparing who they went to, each group was a bit different but I was in all four.

What does he do now? He is worried about any compromise to his AOL account and when I checked in AOL's internet support files they were quick to call it "spoofing." He's got a lot at stake so he needs to make the right decision with your help!

How serious is this and what would you suggest? AVG shows that the emails do not have a virus.

Best thing your friend can do is to use another computer to change his password. Then he needs to clean out his inbox. As a general guide:

Malware detected in email databases has to be cleaned up by you. You have a few choices:

1. delete the whole file which is not an option you normally want to use
2. load the email folder that contains the infection and delete ALL unnecessary emails (hoping to remove the problem email) and then use the Mailbox Cleanup option to delete all old emails. Then compact the Outlook database to permanently remove data. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291645 If you do not cleanup and compact the databases, the deleted emails may still be leaving hidden information in the database that you just cannot see but a scanner may still pickup on it.
3. create a new folder and move only emails you really need into the new folder and then delete the infected folder.

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.
 
I use:
 
-Windows 7 Pro
-64 Bit
-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier
 
Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.

Good morning, people,

One of my users here is having a wierd issue with her Outlook program...Every time she sends an email out, a .txt file of that email is sent as an attachment to that email.

So an email saying, "Greetings!", has the text file attached that says, "Greetings!".

Any ideas?

I have a column of peoples names in Excel and need a way of pairing two people together, with no people being duplicated.

Highlight the column of names, click the "Data" tab, in Sort & Filter click "Advanced", select "Unique records only" and click "OK".

Note that if you want to preserve your original list, select "Copy to another location" (above "Unique records only") before clicking "OK".

Answer:Where are these people getting my email from?

These messages are sent randomly, click on them and open properties you will see they are not even your e-mail address anyway. They may just get your isp number from being on line and tracing you back. Try things like Mailwasher and bounce them back to them. Also make sure you have different security programs on your computer like SpywareBlaster Ad-Aware and Spybot. I always check a lot of my mail on my ISPwhere it all goes into a Bulk folder. I select all and just delete them takes me 2 seconds.

What would be some reasons why I can't get email from an individual? I don't have this person blocked in any way that I can see. I am able to send this person email. We're both using MSN hotmail. However, I get email from this same person if she sends it to my yahoo address.

I also know someone else who is experiencing this problem...mail can go one way, but not the other. So if you can figure this out, you'll be solving the problem for more than one person.

Hello. A little background first: Every month, my company sends out a newsletter by snail mail to over 200 people. I recently started a project of creating an electronic version of the newsletter and we are trying to convert people to receiving the newsletter by email. So far, we have about 45 people that converted. However, when trying to send out the first e-newsletter, I got an error in Outlook saying there are too many recipients. My outgoing mail server is smtp.sbcglobal.net, so I contacted sbc about this and they say there is a limit of 25 recipients by law. I worked around it by sending several duplicate emails until every recipient got one, but is there a workaround for this? A way to send one email to 200 people?

Hi email experts Me again

I have a friend who uses peoplepc email...he's using their web based email. When he forwards me an email, he has the choice to send it as "inline .txt" or "attachment" --- most often, either way he chooses, the email comes through all distorted. If I'm lucky, and choose open with, and guess at the program, be it a Word document, or a jpg file, SOMETIMES I can read it.

Has anyone found a workaround to choose which email program to use to send individual messages when you are in the 8.1 People app?
Note I am NOT asking how to make one email program/account the default. I have one contact list (the People app) and three email programs I use: outllook.com, Yahoo, and Windows Live Mail. I don't want to import the contacts into each account because then I have to constantly update all three. I'd like the ability to right click on a contact's email address and have a list of programs/accounts to choose from.
I was hoping someone has figured out an easy workaround.
I've asked the same question in the MS forum and I've seen related threads, but I couldn't find a clear answer. I also submitted a Feedback message in the People app.

Answer:Choose Email Program from 8.1 People App

Are you using the Windows 8/8.1 built in mail app? If so, then yes. When you click on email from the contact within the People app, it should launch an email draft within the mail app. Up top, click "Change", then click "More". Beneath your name will appear an arrow revealing a drop down menu with a list of all of your email accounts.
Hopefully this answers what you were asking. I was a bit lost with the wording you used.

Sometimes I get errors like the above. I suspect that it is because some domains think all gmx.com email addresses are spam. I just want this confirmed or denied by someone that knows better.

Also, is there anything I can do, short of getting a different email provider?

The recipient would need to remove you from any blacklist and add you to their whitelist. Depending on their setup their blacklists change all the time explaining the infrequency. This is all assuming the mailbox exists on their end.

If I subscription by myself, if there is some links in email, i would click it when i am interested in it, other mails like ADS, Usually, just look at some of the title, thenn deleted it directly.
Many spam messages are able to unsubscribe. only need clean up the mail subscription list.
