Flash Player Plugins is installed and working? But won't work for business application

Question: Flash Player Plugins is installed and working? But won't work for business application

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player. I have went to Adobe site to do a test, it says it is installed and working. Here is the problem. I have been to two different site for employement to fill out the companies online application, however I am getting messages that keep telling me to install an updated browser( I use IE8) Which I have installed several times and/or my flash plugin needs to be installed. Okay so here I have installed a browser update to IE8 and have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe flash player which according to Adobe has installed successfully and working. I have also contacted the companies where I have experience the problems they say it's my computer not them.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Flash Player Plugins is installed and working? But won't work for business application

Is this the test you ran to check your version of Adobe Flash?; http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html If not, run this and see if it confirms your version as 10.0.22.87 Alternatively, you could try the test at this site (which is optimized for IE) to see if it confirms that you have the various plugins etc; http://www.b2knet.com/

Assuming the tests are positive, there is one more thing you could do, which is to try installing a 'standalone' version of Flash; http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/flash.html

If none of this helps, you may be a victim of an IE 8 problem which I can't help with, but someone else here may be able to. Depending on whether you use XP or Vista, it may be possible to revert to IE 7 (or better still, use Firefox or Opera). Wait and see what others advise.

Go here:http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_191...Scroll down to item 5. There are two, IE or Firefox further down.Download the appropriate file and Save it somewhere. Double click the file to run it.I don't usually find it necessary to first uninstall the previous version but because of your particular issue it would be a good idea.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I have a Flash player for my desktop and I wanted to get one installed on my laptop. I tried going to Macromedia to install it, but the install prompt never pops up. To check if it was some other problem, I tried to download something else on the site, so I tried to download the Shockwave player and that downloaded fine. I still want the Flash player (I can view hardly any animations on websites, like the frontpage of Macromedia, for example, is just two empty boxes with a small red 'x' in them). Can some one please help me?

I have Ad-aware and Spybot running along with Panda Platinum Security Free Trial that I downloaded from this site. My internet security settings are at Medium in Internet Explorer in Windows XP.

Answer:Trouble getting Flash player to work, don't even think it's installed

I'm thinking it has something to do with my ActiveX security settings, but I've even tried setting every security program to its lowest possible rating, but I still cannot get Flash to work. Please help!

Hi guys, I'm really hoping somebody can help me because this problem is driving me crazy!
I bought a brand new HP Pavillion Laptop 2 weeks ago and the problem is I can not watch videos at all as either a blank box is displayed or it tells me I need to install Flash Player.

The laptop already had flash player though it was not the most recent one so I tried downloading the new one. That did not work.

Since then I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash player many times. I have done this by running it from adobes website and also saving to desktop and the installing it. I have rebooted after every un/installation.

If I go here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it displays a box telling me I have Flash Player version 10.3.. installed

I have tried going on internet options and making sure security is set to medium

I have checked that everything is enabled in manage add ons.

I have downloaded cccleaner and ran a registery scan to see if that helped.

I have enabled scripting in internet options security.

Im not sure what else to try!

I have windows 7 64 bit and am using internet explorer 9 (32 bit) and the problem is also there on other browsers (firefox and google chrome)

If any body could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading

Recently my flash player quit working on me in the middle of a youtube video, it just quit playing and said i needed to install the latest version of Adobe. So i went and uninstalled it, rebooted, and installed the newest version. It is still telling me that i need to install latest version. I have done several uninstalls and reinstalls, but with no luck. My computer is showing that it is installed and working, and no problems with installation, add-ons are enabled for browser, but it's still not registering that i have a flash player installed. Please help. I even went through and did a clean installation of flash player.

Regarding "Flash" Player software and/or plugins;
1. How many different "Flash" Player plugins are there? Just how many are really needed? It seems there is always a site that needs another 'plugin'.

Regarding Java and JRE;
1. Is there something other than that bloated JRE download that turns into a 140+ MB install that will work or could be subsistuted?
2. What won't work if it isn't installed?

I use Opera V9.27 and run XP Pro w/sp2 (if that matters).

Answer:Questions about Flash Player plugins. Java & JRE

Those are both 'Adobe' programs, correct?
I always turn off 'auto updates' with every program, especially the O/S and uninstall before I reinstall.

There is just 1 plugin, typically, though you can have multiple versions of it. Flash is backwards compatible with previous versions of flash, though some flash applications may require a specific version.

Sun's JRE is pretty much the standard JRE. Unless you go to sites that use applets you can't live without, you don't need a JRE.

I get a message when viewing certain web pages that I need to install Adobe Flash Player. I install it, restart the browser and/or restart the computer and get the same message again to install Flash Player. The result is the same with IE7, FireFox and Chrome.

I've installed Adobe Flash Player several times. Finally, I found a site from which I could download the installer and run it from my desktop. That didn't help either.

I have disabled antivirus and all internet security programs. I also recently formatted the only partition on the only hard disk, restored the computer to its original factory configuration due to malware infestation. I am certain there is no malware involved. I also enabled scripting in IE7.

Answer:Installed Flash Player and still getting messages to install Flash Player

Check your current version of Flash, assuming there is one, by going to this page;http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507&sliceId=2 Unless your 'restoration' has left you with a really old version, you may have to run the Adobe uninstaller first (unless you have already!);http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1

This will remove the Flash plugin from every browser you have installed, so you will have to reinstall the Active X version for IE and the non Active X one for the others. These links work for me if I use the relevant browser to d/l them, but if I click on the IE link using Opera, I get the version for Opera;

IE : http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/static/styx/English.html (read the installation instructions carefully)

Firefox, Opera etc.:http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Hi,

I'm having difficulty updating the Flash Player add-on in my IE8 browser. When I try to download I get a dialogue box which states that memory <hex code) has tried to write to memory reference <same hex code as previous>.

Then the Microsoft DEP (Data Execution Prevention module) runs and shuts down IE. I have disabled the Flash 7 add-on and reset the Internet Explorer Settings on the Advanced tab of Internet Options. It still gives me the error described above. Is it OK to uninstall IE 8.0 and re-install it. I only started getting this problem after running the BT HomeHub setup which added several Yahoo add-ons to the browser. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hey ,

since I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium x64 I'm getting a wierd problem. Sometimes my Browser ( FF 3.5 , IE8 , Opera10 ) stops responding. I have to close it via Task Manager and re-open it. When viewing a video on youtube , it stops responding immediately.
I cannot use Windows Media Player , ICQ , Skype or any Internet Browser until I reboot. The event history is only giving me a " 1002 - Application Hang ".

I think it has something to do with Adobe Flash Player. If I uninstall , the problem goes away - but I cannot live without Adobe Flash

My Problem is very similar to another one from this board :

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/32597-browser-application-hang.html

I also tried uninstalling the Flash Player and reinstall it - but it doesn't help.

My System :

2GB Geil Ultra DDR2-800 CL4
ATI HD4850 512M
Cosair VX450W PSU
Athlon 64 6000+ X2

Thanks,
Revo

PS: Sorry for my bad english

Hey guys,

I'm having a similar issue that the user had here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...ayer-10-a.html

Where basically, after going to YouTube a number of times, my browser (Firefox) hangs along with other applications in Windows 7 such as: Windows Media Player, Steam, etc. This issue also occurs with Internet Explorer as well, not just Firefox. In order to use these programs again, I have to restart my computer.

This is error message I specifically receive for Firefox:

Quote:
The program firefox.exe version 1.9.2.3667 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
Process ID: df0
Start Time: 01cab04181311ad9
Termination Time: 38
Application Path: E:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
Report Id: 6973602b-1c59-11df-b4c0-00270e00352b

So far, to remedy this problem, I have tried:

1) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Adobe Flash Player.
2) Using CCleaner and Ashampoo to see if it was some kind of registry/program issue or whatever that could be sorted out.
3) Virus scan with Norton AV 2010 and Malwarebytes. Removed any infected items, but the problem still persists. I don't believe it's a virus or spyware because I scan regularly and it doesn't seem to affect the issue I've been having.

So my question is: is there anything I could do that I haven't done yet to try and fix... Read more

I just installed windows 7 today, and I just find out that the flash-related application - you tube and Facebook flash game crashes whenever I tried to launch them.

I had followed the instructions in adobe, uninstall and reinstall adobe player 10, but it doesn't solve the problem...

Also, I tried IE 8, and google chrome, and both of them are facing the same problem.

I think the problem lies in Microsoft or Adobe itself because I didn't experience the problem in Windows 7 RC.

Answer:Solved: Flash Player - iexplore - Application Error

When you say 'load', do you mean that you are attempting to install or upgrade the Flash plugin for IE? Assuming the Adobe site works for you, try this version tester to see what, if any, version you currently have; http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html (the latest is 10,0,32.18).

Newer versions of Flash should be uninstalled with the special Adobe uninstaller, if you didn't use it, try it now in case your problem has something to do with leftover components of old versions of Flash; http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html Note that if you have other browsers installed, the uninstaller will remove their Flash plugin as well and you will need to replace it.

If the uninstaller doesn't help, you could try following the advice in this Adobe Troubleshooter; http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html Hopefully, the Registry 'repair' tool you ran hasn't done any permanent damage. Those things rarely do any good!

Is this the right program for playing a video that you have on your computer?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In the past (on other computers) I have bought third-party flv players like the ones advertised here on these pages. Far as I can remember none of them have ever worked, so I am not interested in any solutions that involve buying yet another one.

Another question: Why does windows claim it doesn't know what an .flv file is? I thought it was Apple that hated Adobe.

If it's installed, then simply clicking on the files and they will play.

For flv files, you need a player or the codec installed.

Sorry to bring up this problem again, but I have looked on here and posted on Adobe's Help page without any luck.
For no reason, a couple of months ago, I was asked to install Flash Player, as mine was out of date. This I did, but next time I turned my computer on, I had to install it again, because no videos (You Tube, Facebook etc), would play.
I uninstalled Flash Player with the Flash Player app'. I then re installed, but the same happened the next time I fired up the computer. This has been going on now, every time I start the computer.
This past couple of days Flash Player has not even wanted to install properly. It sometimes plays video and at other times I just get a pop up saying to 'Get Flash Player'.
I use Vista and my main Search Engine is Opera, with Firefox as my second. I have checked Firefox plugins and it states, Firefox does not consider the Plugin safe, so has disabled it. I then followed Adobes 'get around' for the cure, but without success. Opera do not list any Plugins that I can find.
The Adobe 'help pages' were less than usefull as nobody replied as to what could cause the problem, and they are the software developers.
hence I am seeing whether any of you experts have come across the problem.

I recall asking a similar question previously, and have lost track when.
Over the past couple of days I seem to have a recurring problem of being told to install Abode Flash Player when I open certain websites. Not every time though. YouTube seems to suffer the most.
When I go through the download and install procedure, I am informed the installation was successful or that I already have Abode Flash Player installed on the computer. With the end result it either works or it doesn't.
Any idea as to what is going on, and how do I resolve the issue that I am faced with again.

Answer:Is Abode Flash Player installed or not?.

Forgot to mention: Windows 7 Home Premium (regular updated)

Runnung Vista Home Premium on an Advent T9408. 320gb,  Intel core 2CPU 4300 @1800GHz, 1022MB Ram, 32bit system.Every time I try to run something requiring flash player I'm asked to download it, so I do, receive a message stating it's been downloaded then try to run it and get asked again to download - it just doesn't seem to stay on the machine.Am I doing something wrong here?

Answer:Why wont 'Flash player' stay installed?

Are you electing to automatically install directly from the download or downloading and manually starting the installation?  If the former, try the other approach, i.e. downloading the file first, then right clicking on it and selecting "Run as adminstrator".  Does that work?

Ever since I installed the free offer of Windows 10 onto my laptop, I have had multiple problems .... First I lost my start screen, I have intermittent problems with accessing different apps, and now my virus protection is missing along with my flash player... they are literally not installed anymore!
Flash player is supposed to be integrated into Win 10, so when I tried to download it I keep getting a flash player help page instead that has a test button... result is ... "Flash Player - not installed"! PROBLEM 1: THERE IS NOT ANY AVAILABLE WAY TO INSTAL IT EXCEPT TO DO A RE-INSTAL OF WIN 10.... PROBLEM 2: TRIED SEVERAL TIMES IN DIFFERENT WAYS TO RE-INSTAL WIN 10 & GOT THE SAME RESULT..... A message that said a problem occurred and action can not be completed. I am no IT Tech and this is really getting frustrating! I need this PC to properly work, can't afford to pay someone to fix it and really would appreciate it if I could get some real help here. ASAP PLEASE.

Answer:Windows 10 Flash Player is not installed & I cant reinstall it

Uninstall Flash plugins or addons of you have them installed on your alternate browsers.
Uninstall Flash via your Control Panel or better still use Adobe Flash Uninstaller to uninstall it completely from your PC.
Use CCleaner to clear PC junk, restart and now try.

I have Flash player 10 installed on the Dell laptop computer. We use IE 8 and I can watch utube on my account, but my husband keeps getting the message "You have Java Script turned off or an old version of Adobe's flash player. Get the latest flash player" when he tries to watch from his account.

He used to be able to watch before we upgraded. I am a beginner computer problem solver. Even the computer guy I paid to do some things couldn't get it to work.

I have downloaded adobe's uninstaller and reinstalled flash player; but it still didn't fix the problem.

Please help, I am so tired of looking at forms and reinstalling this program.
Thanks.

Got the Flash uninstaller and ran it to clean out old versions per the Adobe site, then downloaded & run the new version. The Adobe site said the install was successful. I rebooted as directed.

Tried to open a saved RealPlayer flv video download, didn't open (I've uninstalled RealPlayer). Instead the "choose app" window opened, and the Flash 10 wasn't listed.

Went into Start Programs and it's not in there.

Did a Search and nothing came up.

Went into Remove Programs and it does show in there, but is listed
as a Plugin. Don't understand exactly what that means.

Why doesn't it show up in Programs, or in the Select Application window?

Where does it say it's always got to be so complicated?

Thx for explaining things to me!!

Laptop computer with Windows 10 has an item in Control Panel for Flash Player.  Opening this item, display of Flash Player Settings Manager occurs, and upon clicking the Update tab, the dialog screen is dim, and at the bottom,  two items are shown:  NPAPI Pluggin Version, and PPAPI Pluggin Version.  Next to each of these is the comment, "Not Installed".

This seems strange.  I wonder if it is or not normal.  IF no flash player is installed, then WHY is Flash Player (32-bit)  shown listed as an item in Control Panel?  Also, any reason why the listed form for ActiveX for Internet Explorer is not listed in this Flash Player Settings Manager update tab along with the neither installled other pluggins?

Whatever the case, I do not yet miss having Flash Player on this computer.  I have played several YouTube videos, so YouTube has likely only given me the html-5 kind of videos, so no flash player needed there  (at least not yet, past 2 months).

I immediately uninstalled the McAfee but now I'm not happy about having the Adobe Flash Player on my system. Is there an alternative piece of software I could use that does not sneak in unwanted programs onto my computer by the back door?

For some reason, I couldn't quickly find the answer to this question via search engine,
...nor did I find the answer via the express-search on TSG.

Every few months, Adobe nags me to update to the newest version of Flash Player.
So I've been complying.

I now have quite a number of their Red Icons (ranging from 1,000 to many-thousand KB) lined up in my Download Folder.

So is it OK to delete older ones, and just keep, say, the 2 newest ones in Download folder?

Thanks.

Answer:Delete series of Flash Player updates installed in Download Folder?

Once you download and save files in your Downloads folder and then activate those saved files to install new programs or update current programs, you can delete them afterwards.

Here's something I find a bit amusing about updating flash player (FP) in IE when another browser is set as the default browser.  When I update FP in IE  - I have Opera set as my default browser in Windows 7 - and the update has successfully completed, a notice appears confirming that fact.  But, this acknowledgement of successful updating of FP in IE appears in Opera, the default browser.  Even though the reason this happens is obviously the fact that a browser other than IE is set as default browser, it just seems odd, almost a bit amusing, that this notification does not appear in the browser to which it applies. The notification of successful updating of FP looks like the image below:

Hi,
I see on the threads that others have had this problem. For some reason I can't get Adobe to work; so I went and installed the newest version, and it doesn't work either. YouTube and others just say I need it. I go to Adobe, and it says I have it installed. I look in my computer "add install" list, and there it is. It is there, but for some reason YouTube and others are not "seeing" or connecting with it. I've uninstalled it and installed it twice, and each time shut down the compute and turned it back on.
The thread I looked at the guy had a similiar problem, but no resolution nor did he say what he finally did to get it working. His was a new computer, so he could take it back; mine is not.

I have used the Adobe uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player and have deleted the files lingering in the Macromed and Macromedia folders as instructed on Adobe's site. I rebooted after the uninstall. Adobe utilities indicated no version was installed. I downloaded the current version and installed it from the download location (not while IE9 was running). This is Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. Active X Filtering is turned off. I am using the 32-bit version of IE9. In ESPN, nothing will play and expanding the screen has no effect. I can move the mouse down the progress bar of the video and see still images of the video but it will not play. I have been working at this for several hours and I can't seem to get it resolved. I have done extensive research and tried a variety of things, but to no avail. One thing I have not tried is to install an earlier version of Flash but I haven't seeen anything that suggests that alternative will help. The add on shows in the Internet Explorer add on list as Shockwave Flash Object 11.8.800.94 Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind using Mozilla, but I really want to resolve this issue.

Following update KB4020102 my Edge failed to load. After around 16 hours of technical support, using Premier Assist, yesterday my Edge was recovered after a long series of steps to correct corrupted Registry keys and running a Tweaking.com repair programme.
Now my Flash Player does not work in Edge!

I would appreciate any help to resolve the problems, as I really don't want to use MS support after my marathon sessions of late.

adobe flash 10 downloads ok. but when I visit any random web page it says I need to down load adobe. In the web site only text is displayed and never any graphics. Please help!!!

Answer:adobe flash player 10 will not work

Hi justsurfing

I'll guess that when you mention that Flash "downloaded OK" you mean that it downloaded & installed OK? Once it was installed, did you then see the animated graphic "Adobe Flash has been successfully installed"? If not, the installation was either never run (if you only downloaded the installer, but didn't run it, you've missed that step), or the installation had a problem.

Here's a link to Adobe's troubleshooter for Flash. One of the items has an uninstaller that let's you remove completely your previous versions & any files leftover from an incomplete unsuccessful install. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html

If you use more than one browser, visit the Adobe Flash downoad website using each browser. There are different versions for different browsers.

Most browsers allow you to disable plug-ins and add-ons such as Flash. Look in the options menus for your browsers to ensure that your browsers have the Flash plug-in enabled.

Some Security/Privacy programs will disable browser toolbars and plugins also. Check the settings in your security software to see if one of these might be blocking Flash.
_______________

I think you probably will have success simply by resetting your favorite browsers options to "Default", uninstalling & then reinstalling Flash.

Best of luck,
. . . Gary

I've come across a major problem after upgrading from IE6 to IE8 in XP.No flash content works at all, youtube videos are just a black screen and normal flash on webpages are plain white. I've checked the 'Manage addons' and it appears to be loaded under Shockwave Flash object 10.0.32.18 and also run it without addons.I've performed a full uninstall of flash player and used the standalone installer instead which hasn't worked and updated my version of java.I've noticed that Activex controls are not prompting so no yellow bar is showing up and gone through the security levels carefully. When right clicking and 'save target as' it always gives a error message. With Firefox everything functions like it should so the fault lies with IE8.I did revert back to IE6, flash and activex controls work fine. Not sure what else I should do or try unless I reset Internet explorer settings and see if that makes any difference.

Please offer any advice you can.

Hi

Have seen this before when Vista's security permissions have been corrupted by an application

One of Adobes Tech Enginneers has this file to reset the permissions http://www.supportflash.com/reset_min.zip so download and unzip to your desktop the two files, they have to be on your desktop so no unzipping to another location.

Then uninstall Flash, REBOOT, inportant to reboot, then run the reset.cmd file and when its finished it will say Press any key to continue, so do so. Then get and install the latest flash player full from here

My pc had a virus that I fixed and got rid of but since then adobe flash player will not work or install. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but that does nothing. What could be wrong?

Answer:flash player will not work or install

I never trust virus removal just for this reason. You really have little choices. Either try to fix this or solve it by restoring your computer back to OEM state. Be sure to save data off before you begin.Since you did have a virus, you are not using it properly. Either you don't have good protection software and or you are running under admin when you should be using a standard user account at all times. (might have disabled other protection)1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Question: Plugins installed?

I am using Firefox 2.0 and would like to know how to start a plugin (Photo Story 3) that I have installed?

Answer:Plugins installed?

Hi, welcome to TSF

I don't think Photo Story 3 is a Firefox plugin. It's a free Microsoft program for creating photo slideshows. If you've already installed it, there should be an icon in the Start menu for it. Click the icon to start the program.

Download from here. Instructions for creating a slideshow here.

Question: flash plugins

Hi, i am using windows xp. My son and I both have to log on to use our personal settings. He likes to play the noepet games at neopets.com. The trouble is the shockwave flashplayer won't work when he is logged on. It works fine in my settings and I am able to load these games, but when I log off and he logs on, the flash won't load. I have tried to uninstall, download and reinstall in his browser but i keep getting an error message that the browser (ie) can't find the server. How can I get it to work in both user settings? I am using a high- speed connection. I have already unistalled and reinstalled in my settings and restarted my pc and still get nothing in his.

Answer:Unable to get Adobe Flash player to work

Have you run the uninstaller click here then rebooted. Then download the player click here .I downloaded the uninstaller and installer on to my desktop ie saved instead of run. Went off line and ran the uninstaller and rebooted. Ran the installer then went online and opened my browser.Where flash is needed right click the coloured box on top left and click open. You should get a warning popup to ask if you wish to install flash 9 active x.

Answer:Adobe flash player [lastest] does not work

Go to Adobe's site and look for reference to your system (ie: Windows 7 64bit, etc). There are different versions and you need to make sure you have the correct one(s). I am not sure if it is still the case with Adobe, but since MS includes both 32bit IE and 64bit IE with Windows 7 64bit, in the past you would need to download both 32bit and 64bit versions of Adobe Flash Player. This might no longer be the case and they might now include what is needed for the 32bit browser within the 64bit download/installer, but you will definitely need the 64 bit version at least.I also noticed you said "i downloaded..." and did not mention installing. If this is not just an oversight, make sure you know where you are downloading to (best is to begin by putting it on your desktop, or in a special download folder like firefox defaults to) so you can install it.You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane. If all else fails, read instructions.

Many months ago Flash Player stopped working; I've followed all of Adobes trouble shooting suggestions:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html

I have gone through various forums but nothing has helped. I really don't want to rebuild my PC just because of this but it's getting to the point where I have no other choice.

Adobe Flash Player 10 does work in Firefox 3.5 but not in IE7 or IE8. I'm running Vista Business and have the latest version of Flash player installed.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Answer:Adobe Flash Player 10 Doesn't work in IE7/IE8

Since it's working in Firefox, do you really need it in IE?

More info on your what you've done to try to resolve the problem would be helpful.

Each browser must be updated separately for Flash. Did you know that?

Hey I've been having problems with my Flash Player and was wondering if anyone could help me. I recently downloaded Flash Player 10 and the installation process seemed to go smoothly. However, whenever I try to watch a video on Youtube, the video won't show and I'm prompted to download the latest Flash Player. I've done so and I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player 10 multiple times now, but I still can't see any videos on Youtube. This problem only occurs in Firefox and I've checked that Java is enabled and it is, but it still won't work.

Any help, please?

i have a hp m7674n running the upgrade version of vista. my problem is with my flash player. it wont install. when i try to run videos it says i either have flash turned off or an old version. when i try to download the newest version. it doesnt install. i tried using the macromedia un-installer and starting from scratch but it still doesnt work. the flash player worked fine for about a month after i installed vista...but now it doesnt work or install. ive spent several hours online with a tech from hp and they just keep having me reinstall it and pretty much cant figure out why it doesnt work. has anyone else had this problem? where should i go from here? it sucks having this great computer with no flash player.

Answer:flash player doesnt work with vista

update....ive been working on this issue again for another couple of wasted hours. ive un-installed using a different uninstaller and re-installed from another link. still nothing works. i noticed this...and this seemes like the problem. i go the the tools tab on internet explorer, hit ie options...general tab...settingss...view objects....shockwave flash objects...properties...dependancy tab and then i see "filename * and size damaged" obviously the file is damaged...but why wont it completely uninstall so i can install a new undamaged version? ive tried the uninstaller from the adobe website and anotherone i found on the net, tried re-installing it only to find the same damaged message and the same error messages when i try to run flash. ive noticed from the net that this is a common problem that adobe and microsoft are working on. in the meantime ive got a $2k computer thats worth nothing on the internet without a working flash player...any suggestions or anyone else dealing with this problem?

A couple of days ago, I was asked to update my Flash Player to version 10.1.53.64 . I did so, but ever since I have not been able to play YouTube videos. As I am a frequent user of the site, it is causing me some inconvenience, and it is also quite annoying since I cannot find a solution. When I click on a YouTube video, I am presented with a green rectangle upon a black background. Majority of the time, I get audio, and very (very very) rarely, I can acutally watch the video. The working videos present no correlation, therefore I cannot think of anything that is causing it.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player, and have tracked through various help sites, and found no answer.Could someone help me?

Answer:YouTube will not work after Flash Player Update

try doing a system restore, then manually down load flash player from here, click here
