Preferred Solution: Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard And Wireless Laser Mouse

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I had to replace my keyboard after 3 1/2 yrs since the keys were sticking and the letters worn off. I bought the Microsoft Wireless Laser 6000 Mouse with the wireless keyboard. It works great with one problem. If I enable "allow this device to bring computer out of Standby" for either the mouse or the keyboard, the computer never goes into a full standby. The fan is always running and so are some other parts of the computer. If I dont configure the mouse or keyboard that way, the computer will go into regular and complete standby but will need to be turned on with the power button to bring it out of standby. The Receiver is USB so Im thinking the reason the computer doesnt completly power down is due to the receiver needing to be active. Is there a work around or do I just stick with using the power button?

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse and Wireless Comfort Keyboard

I'd stick with using the power button

formatted to no avail trying to solve this problem and found out unplugging this from the USB port made the Screensaver and all come on.

but I have yet to find a fix for it when it is plugged in, the HID Filter or whatever update did not fix this issue, if nothing else was probably responsible for it more then anything.

I even went into device manager power settings to disable them to wake up the computer and it didnt fix the problem either.

anyone got any ideas?

Answer:Screensaver dont come on with MS Wireless laser Mouse and Keyboard 5000

You could try taking the mouse batteries out. This will rule out that it is making tiny detections of movement even if unintended, while away. If the screensaver comes on, then you know it's doing this. Then, you can try lowering the dpi it uses, if it has that ability. Basically, test it out like this for a minute.

im running xp sp3, and recently my mouse started double clicking on a single click. sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt, if i hold the mouse button down for a little while when trying to single click something it will usually perform a successful single click. i tried looking elsewhere for similar problems, and saw some threads saying to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, and looking in device manager it shows it is using the default xp drivers. i dont know anything about the mouse other than its a micro innovations optical mouse that connects in the mouse port, not usb, and has a scroll wheel. there no other information written on the mouse and i cant find anything in device manager about it. so i cannot find the drivers for this mouse from the company that made it, i think they went out of business because i cant find their main website. any links or advice would be really helpful.

Answer:micro innovations mouse double clicks on a single click

Well there is an option to "Single-click to open an item" which does what you are saying, also has your Double-click option here.

This is found by:
- Open a folder
- Go to Tools (tab) Select "Folder Options"
- General (tab) has "Click Item as follows" options here.

This doesn't sound like your problem but I personally like my single click option.

My hp wirless laser comfort mouse scrolls horizontally and vertically but exhibits strange behavior. By strange I mean the pointer does not respond when it hovers over minimize, maximize or exit buttons on opened windows of applications. Also, when I remove it, this behavior persists in my laptop using its touchpad and so I have to reboot and omit the use of the comfort mouse entirely. What causes this?

Several minutes, and sometimes less, after boot-up, the mouse becomes erratic, sometimes coming to a complete halt. Thinking it was either the interference of an outside signal or a build-up of static electricity, I have tried several things, including 1) rebooting, 2) disconnecting the power sources, 3) moving my external hard drive away from the mouse, 4) using different keypads to limit potential static build-up, 5) moving my entire system to a somewhat different location (fortunately, it's all on wheels) -- absolutely none of this works! Disconnecting the main power source and reconnecting it solves the problem sometimes, but only temporarily.

I believe I'm having some sort of signal problem with my wireless mouse. I play an online game in which you can hold down the right mouse button to look around. Occasionally it will get locked like that, and I have to click the button for it to fix itself.

I surmise that for whatever reason, I click and hold down the button, but when I release it, it is not registering that I have done so, so it just acts as if I am still holding the mouse button down. Clicking it once gets the signal sent that I have released it.

My friend reports having the same problem with his wireless mouse, yet far less frequently.

I've always had little annoying problems like this with wireless mice, and I'm beginning to think they are inferior in overall design to something much less complicated, like a wired mouse. Does anyone know what my problem might be?

Answer:Problems With Wireless Laser Mouse

Well, the connection between a wireless mouse and its receiver occasionally drops, sometimes for a millisecond or so, sometimes for longer. In your case... It'd seem a bit odd for it to only do that kind of errors.. Anyways, if you want to get rid of this problem, start by testing with a decent wired mouse... The wire is always there, whereas the wireless link isn't.

Hoping this is a simple fix.....
the scrolling on my mouse is choppy, when I scroll an IE page it has like a delay? Its not a smooth scroll. I have been all over my manual and support for it and cannot find anything that will change this. The settings offer up slow-fast options but it only causes the page to flip faster or slower duh lol sorry I am at a loss as to how to describe this. Let me know if I can tell you anything that would be of help.

Answer:MFST wireless laser mouse 6000

No one familiar? I have been digging but cannot find a solution. This really seems to be a simple fix with-in the controls but there is not any option that corrects this. You scroll and the page moves with a delay and a line as if going page by page. I had first thought it was a setting within IE but it also does this in notebook and other software programs. Even sliding the sidebar vs. scroll is choppy. Any suggestion would be nice thank you.

Hi

I am new to this forum and please forgive me if i didn't do something by the rules.
Here is my problem, i'll try to be as concise as possible.

Just yesterday i bought Wireless Keyboard/Mouse (laser) combo from Sweex (product code KB225US).

After two hrs of work the mouse pointer stopped responding. This happened after i rebooted my machine because of system freeze while playing with keyboard costumisation and copying files into the external HDD . I recall killing two or three processes, don't remember which one.
Receiver works ok on whichever USB port i put it into.
Mouse buttons work ok
Keyboard works ok
Pointer reacts (a little) only when exposed to direct light.
Batteries are new

Went back to the store this morning for replacement but it worked fine on their newer comps that were for sale. But same problem occurred with two older comps at work this evening.

My actions wereSwitched USB ports several times
Swithced off WiFi/ changed channel (to prevent interference)
Driver uninstall/reinstall several times (from CD/website)
Mouse uninstall/install (device manager)
Uninstall Wacom Intuos3 Ddriver

Nothing worked

I am willing to fight to the death for this mouse
Please help me. Should i go safe mode or registry or whatever? Just don't tell me to format, i have so many softwares installed. However, no other mouse software.

Specs:
WinXP Pro
Version 2002
SP2
AMD Athlon 64x2

Thanks in advance

Hi People, very simple question. Maybe I could get an answer to my question that I should had asked when I was buying. This wireless mouse uses two "AA" batteries or rechargeable batteries. Question: What about turning it off for the night or whenever I leave my computer? So that I don?t change them every two-three days. Thank you for your help with such a stupid question.

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

The mouse should go into a low power mode so it doesn't use that much battery power.

I am considering purchasing the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 as the Logitech MX Revolution I have had replaced twice since I initially purchased it in Feb 2008 has developed the same fault again, i.e. The Freespin wheel has begun to wear out and as such intermittently the Freespin feature stops working, the last MX Revolution suffered the same fault and eventually the fault got worse. Very disappointed as otherwise I find the mouse to be goodAnyway that's beside the point:I was wondering if anyone uses the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000, and the Intellipoint V6.2 software and could tell me if it is possible to set the mouse up with the Intellipoint software to allow the two buttons where your thumb goes to go back and forward a page on IE7 & Firefox?

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000

I think you will find the software is upto v6.3 well thats what im using at this time with a 5000 and yes the buttons can be configured. The two buttons on the left side (thumbside) have been set to lower button (magnifier) top button (Back button)

New Years Greetings!
I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 (March 2007) with Vista.

I just installed the Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000...several times in fact!
First time it worked. Then after rebooting, it came up with a message with 3 choices:
- install driver (had already done that)
- don't ask again
- (I forget what this said)
So I said "don't ask again" and that's when the mouse went dead! Argh!
After uninstalling and installing from the disk TWICE, (pressing all the correct buttons on the transmitter and mouse and unconnecting the USB before this)
I finally downloaded the driver from online just in case it was the driver that came on the disc. It is Driver Version 6.20.173.0
Finally got it to work, HOURS LATER! but not on my mouse USB port which is the PS/2 Port that says IRQ 0x0000000C (12)

I had to move the USB connector to another port.
I spent [email protected]! trying to install and uninstall this and am coming to the conclusion that VISTA is the problem. Am I right?
I went to all the help features and did all the right things.
Device Manager says this new mouse is there. Says it is working properly.
But then nothing happened until I moved it to another port.
I would like to plug the USB into the normal mouse port. But it probably won't work. Why?
Am seriously considering a Mac for the first time since I started using a computer in 1980s! Thanks for any and all suggestions. Cheers!

I have one around 6 moths old. Recently it started sticking. Not just where my wife spilt something on the keys (she said she didn't but, you know....) but also the spacebar, backspace keys too. I often have to hit them three times before they type.

Are these things safely cleanable? Or should I just dump it and get another (keyboard, that is ; not wife,. Mind you...........)

I'm used to periodic lapses when Windows forgets that I have a Bluetooth mouse & keyboard but today's behaviour was really weird.
Fortunately I keep a wired mouse and keyboard strategically hidden just in case.

I just booted into W7 and noticed on the log-on screen that the mouse was behaving erratically - would judder around the screen rather than glide.

Anyway I uninstalled it once I'd booted up and went to reinstall it. It worked but Windows asked for a restart. This had never ever happened before. It even asked for the WEI to be refreshed! I've checked and I can't see anything different driver-wise. I've gone through the motions of uninstalling/reinstalling mouse and keyboard dozens of times but never had this happen.

Comments anyone?

Hi,
I ordered a new MS wireless laser mouse 5000 because after several yrs my old one went bad. Well, I have retained the MS wireless comfort keyboard 4000. Now, when I try to install software through CD MS intellipoint 6.3, I essentially have the following
msg.:  I'm told that that this cd is blocked because it is not compatible w/ windows 7. Another problem is that with the new mouse I can not type anything. This, of course, could be the result of not being able to install the CD that came w/ the mouse.
Now, I've tried about everything---all the downloads which  I could find, and apparently, I'm current w/ the software/drivers.  I just don't know what next to do; I'm not very experienced w/ these things.
Does anyone have any answers; those laser mice are expensive.

Hello,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-620-Wireless-Laser-Mouse/dp/B000QRI270

I have one of these and every so often it the mouse pointer sticks for several seconds which is annoying when gaming etc. I've only had it a few months of which its been for the last 2 to 3.

I haven't got the software installed as I see no reason why it would prevent it sticking + sucks up system resources.

It does it both on my desk which is a plastic surface with a bubbly effect and a mouse mat, both clean.

Is there anything else which could be causing this or is it just due to wireless-ness?

Thanks!

So I went online to look for the software on Microsofts website, and I found it. So everything installed ok, and the mouse was working. Only problem is whenever I try to open the Control Panel for the mouse, to change my buttons or something, nothing happens. It shows a loading cursor and than stops. Hello all,

I am having an issue here and I am not quite sure how to resolve it. I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 and I also have a wireless home network using a D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router. I am using Windows Vista, and when I am using the mouse with my computer and the wireless network enabled the mouse pointer moves very erratically and does not move smoothly at all. The computer is plugged in directly into the router with an ethernet cable, it is not using a wireless NIC card.

I am fairly certain this is from interference from the wireless router, i have tried different channels to see if I would get less interference but none of that seems to help any. There does not seem to be any settings for my mouse where i can choose what channel it is running on, it runs on Bluetooth. The wireless router is running 802.11g and as far as I know, this and Bluetooth both run at 2.4ghz.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I just received an MX3200 keyboard/MX600 mouse combination and installed it on my Vista 32 machine. (I had previously used a no-name wireless combo that ultimately wore out.) I installed the latest Logitech drivers, made sure batteries were fresh, that it was properly connected. However, the mouse is not behaving properly. It acts like a regular roller ball mouse does when the ball is jammed or on the wrong surface--the cursor doesn't track the mouse motions. I have to repeatedly swipe the mouse on the pad to just get it to move a little. In fact, I had to turn my pad over (i have a stiff pad designed for laser/optical mice) to get even lousy responsiveness. I've tried the mouse on soft pads, on the table, on a piece of white paper, to no avail. I made sure the BIOS enabled USB mice. I"ve checked control panel settings, the logitech utility, but nothing there improves the situation. Any advice?

(I used my wired mouse to create this note).

MS Wireless Comfort Keyboard/mouse combination, Model 1.0A -1045 is malfunctioning in the operation of the keyboard. The mouse is working, so my thought is that the receiver is okay. The keyboard stopped working today. I replaced the batteries, reset the button on the bottom of the keyboard and the button on the receiver, ensuring the proper sequencing. Still no joy. Removed all of the screws on the bottom of the keyboard, carefully checked the membrane inside, ensuring cleanliness before re-installing. Still no joy. I visited the MS support website. Unable to locate my brand. Thinking that downloading a new driver might help, i checked my settings for device drivers in My Computer. All drivers seem to be okay according to My Computer>Devices>Keyboard. Searched a couple of other forums and found that others have experienced the same problem. I've misplaced the software that came with the set-up. MS support website no help in trying to find software for this particular model. Any ideas from you Win7 gurus? Many thanks in advance.

Answer:MS wireless keyboard not responding to keystrokes/wireless mouse works

Have you run Windows Updates and see if it offers a new driver.
The keyboard is very old. Just might be time for a new one. You could also go to Device Manager and select update driver for the keyboard.

I have 6 or 7 old keyboards. Also gave a few away. I have never wore one out. Just kept buying them looking for one I really liked.
Years later I found one I like.

So I'm currently having an issue with my Wireless Laser 8000 (Bluetooth) and hoping someone here might have some insight on it as my googlefu is not getting any results and I really don't want to replace the mouse as I'm using it in combo with the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 keyboard and pretty much love this setup right now.

As of late my mouse has decided to basically throw itself in to sleep mode after about 3-5 seconds of no activity. This doesn't happen all the time but it's getting kind of insane as bringing it out of sleep causes some serious mouse lag and/or quite a bit of moving or a click to reactivate it.

Anyone with this mouse ever run in to a problem like this or in general? The keyboard isn't running in to any issues in regards to losing signal and/or sleeping and not kicking in right.

Unfortunately the Wireless Laser 8000 has been discontinued so I can't even get a proper replacement for it and have to get one of the new bluetrack mice, but none of them are rechargeable .

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Wireless Laser 8000 - Mouse sleeps after a couple of seconds

Frist thing comes to mind for me is; have you checked the battery status to see if it needs replaced. On rechargable batteries, there is a set number of recharges it can have and they do go bad from time to time. I would start there first, replace the battery. Here's a link to the mouse if you have not already checked it out.

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone has some suggestions for my new problem.

The problem:

My new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 installs on my laptop the way any normal mouse should. I have since decided to use this new mouse on my desktop PC instead, which was successfully using a wired mouse. When plugging the new mouse in, the New Hardware Wizard could not install the mouse. On top of all this, when I reverted back to my old "wired" mouse, the wizard could not install this mouth either. Something has gone wrong and now I can't install any mice. I have tried all three mice that I own, and it seems that my computer is just having trouble installing mice in general. All the mice install fine on other computer.

Behaviour:
-wizard says, "cannot install this hardware"
-mouse is listed in DEVICE MANAGER as "other device" with a yellow exclamation mark
-pointer arrow remains in the middle of screen, mouse doesn't work to move it around.
-USB ports work fine for my other USB devices. I've tried them all
-Microsoft Intellipoint software is up to date, installed and seemingly ok when I open it in control panel

Already done:
-tried replacing DRIVER.CAB from WinXP installation disc
-tried uninstalling the mouse in DEVICE MANAGER, unistalling Intellipoint, and starting the whole process over again.
-tried changing channels from the mouse to the receiver, but that isn't relevant to the problem anyways since I know the mouse w... Read more

I have a new Packard Bell Imedia A5518 UK computer with AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core Processor, 4.00.GB Ram, 32 bit Operating System, running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.

I installed my Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse and Keyboard 5000 and Wireless Desktop Receiver 3.1, with a USB connection (a Xmas present from my wife!), instead of the wired mouse and keyboard which came with the computer. The wireless mouse works perfectly but the keyboard doesn't work at all. I have tried to find information of conflicts with Vista on Microsoft Maze, but no luck, although there are many, many other conflicts shown on their website. I have also looked for any updated drivers, again with no success.

I am having to use the wired keyboard and mouse, but want to use the wireless set if possible. I would be grateful if anyone resolve this problem for me.

Answer:Wireless Keyboard & Wireless Mouse......

well assuming that your keyboard has been working fine before i would ask if it is the kind that installs drivers from usb or from disk. Surprisingly i have had both.

Please go to device manager. (Get there by right clicking on computer then clicking manage and than clicking device manager tab in left window.) On right window it will say Keyboards. Please expand that and tell me what it says.

Thanks

Edit: Could you tell me what kind of keyboard you have? Model?

G'Day,
By the look of the description of your keyboard, you will need the compatible wireless mouse.
If you do another search on Google with the model number of the keyboard, you will find where you can get the compatible wireless mouse to suit....I had a quck look and they are available for about $30US.
Hope this helps.

I have 2 computers, desktop & notebook, both by Packard Bell & running Vista Home Premium SP2.
The desktop came with a (Packard Bell) USB wireless keyboard & optical mouse. The keyboard's fine (if you ignore the proprietary clutter!), but using that mouse has been like swimming through treacle right from the start. Also, I have to left-click twice instead of once, often but not always. I haven't figured out any pattern to it, so get multiple instances of e.g. my browser opening (which, understandably, the computer doesn't like one little bit).
I tried a new combo (from Lidl), but it was no improvement. With more time now to use the desktop for the work it's intended for, the problem's moved to the top of the list!
Before any Helproom Angels suggest possible causes, I have followed up plenty of good advice online re sluggish mice, but to no avail (more detail later, if wanted). But I hadn't been thinking straight (prolonged troubleshooting seems to have that effect!), and somehow missed the simple first step of swapping things round.
Now I've tried that, it seems to me that it's eliminated the previous suspects (dirt, run-down/duff batteries, wrong settings etc), and some mice are just better than others?
With the laptop, I use a little cordless USB optical mouse, which has always been nice and responsive. When I tried the Packard Bell set there instead, I had just the same problems as when it's connected to the desktop.

Answer:Recommend wireless keyboard/mouse combo with more responsive mouse?

I've had this combo click here for about a year now and am very happy with it. The keyboard batteries seem to last forever, not changed them yet and the mouse takes just one AA battery and lasts a reasonable time before it requires changing.

I got a wireless mouse Penguin Ambidextrous Vertical Mouse | Posturite. It is supposed to use generic windows 2.4 Ghz adapter. However, windows 7 is unable to find any drivers. The screenshot of device manager is appended. I tried various other ways e.g. take out other USB devices, reboot etc. I tried sfc /scannow . But the error persists. There is no usb.inf file in the C:\Windows . It works in Windows 8 machine but not in windows 7. other 2.4 Ghz mice work. The manufacturer says that they don't provide the drivers because the mouse uses generic drivers
Please advise what can be done.

Answer:2.4 Ghz wireless keyboard mouse driver not found (Penguin mouse)

Did you do a Search of the Windows Folder including subFolders and hidden Files? My Win7Ult has several such files but only 2 that are usb.inf only in subFolders of Windows, others have longer names but most appear to be associated with my AMD CPU/Gigabyte Motherboard setup.

I use to own the USB 760 & had the 5GB a month plan with Verizon while I was going through hospital treatments, it was hard for me to keep under 5gb but I only used the thing like 5-12 days out of the month, so I managed to work it out. Im looking for something with unlimited bandwidth or with at least like 25 gb's or more & was wondering if anyone knows other service providers with different plans. It seems that Verizon only has the 5gb plans which doesn't really cut it for me.

Answer:Wireless Internet Card (USB Micro Modems)

What country - in the UK O2 (telefonica )offer a few plans and I think one is unlimited
I had 9GB and for people who travelled we had 30 or 40GB datapalns

They have a fair usage policy - so the unlimited is not unlimited

Hi all,
I just got this webcam, Micro Innovations IC200C, second hand and I can't seem to get it working. There is no software for it (that I have), so I just plugged it into a USB port. Didn't work. Downloaded XP drivers from website...didn't work. Windows sees that something is plugged in but it doesn't know what it is (question mark) and when I try applications that use webcams, like MSN messenger, it says no webcam detected.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Answer:Micro Innovations IC200C help

Looks like you may be missing a install Disk, I found this..."This is a nice little camera with tons of problems on installing if your OS is XP professional. Try to find solutions at their web site is a waste of time as the FAQ sections consists of mere three entries, none related to the webcam.
Finally, once that you are upgrading or trying to upgrade the drivers, here comes a warning: "IT IS RECOMMENDED NOT TO INSTALL THE CAMERA BEFORE INSTALLING THE DRIVERS."....obviously in able to uninstall the camera, it would have to be installed first, meaning there is probably a disk for it that you are missing...now, to track it down, I'll google it a bit and see what I find ...Rhett

PS...welcome to TSG !

EDIT : http://65.106.167.77/manuals/micro_ic200c.htm here is the manual for the camera, there is a support # you can try if more help is needed.

Hi. I just downloaded software for a keyboard and mouse from Kensington on my new Dell XPS 210 computer. I got a message to reboot the computer, so turned it off and back on. When it came on the USB keyboard and mouse no longer worked. I unplugged them and plugged in the USB connector and new mouse and key board. They don't work either. I couldn't shut down normally, so pushed the start button, waited and turned it on again. The keyboard and mouse still dont work. I get a message saying that the devices are not functioning. My question: How do I fix this problem WITHOUT a keyboard or mouse>Everything I've seen says to point to this, click this, or type in this..how do I do this without a keyboard? Or Mouse?I've retried the USB keyboard and mouse and neither work.I'm getting worried as my logic tells me there is a big problem now!I went on the kensington website (on my old computer) and it says, DO NOT DOWNLOAD Software on VISTA - the keyboard and mouse work without it. There is no further information - I wish I'd known this before I downloaded the software.Any advice would be most appreciated. I'm not an expert - just a person who tries to find solutions and learn. Thanks so much.

Answer:HELP! Downloaded software for wireless keyboard and now NO KEYBOARD or MOUSE!

wait, so you're saying you're running vista?also, what do you mean by "software" for your keyboard and mouse? do you mean a driver?if so, i'm not sure about vista, but you can try rolling back the drivers by going to device manager, and selecting the device you want.do this by :right click on my computer>hardware>device manager

Answer:Micro Innovations IC50 webcam

Uninstall any current drivers you have for the web cam; if you have none, don't worry about it. Download this driver http://www.mic-innovations.com/driver.sdrv?id=100017 It's a direct link so the download dialog will open when you click on it. It works for all versions of Windows including Vista (you didn't mention which operating system you're using). Install it with the camera UNPLUGGED from the PC. If the driver prompts you to plug in the camera, do it then. If not, when the install is finished, reboot the PC and plug in the cam after your desktop has loaded. It should pick up the drivers and install them automatically.

Good luck!

It it just a case of switching the PC off and pulling out the connections from the back of the tower? Neither the 'old' k/board or mouse appear when selecting the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the desktop. Many thanks.

Turn off and just unplug them. Plug in the new and reboot. If the mouse has any specific drivers and software (like logitech mouseware for example) uninstall it from Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.

I have the Microsoft Wireless Mouse (5000) & Comfort Keyboard (5000) . The USB receiver is currently in the side of the tower, less than a foot from the keyboard and mouse. Sometimes the mouse and keyboard will become very laggy, making it near impossible to use them. After a restart of Windows they tend to be ok until the next seemingly random time they act up again. I cannot correlate anything to cause this. It is happening now and this request has taken me over 5 minutes to type out.

Any ideas?

Windows 8.1 Pro (also happened on Windows 7)
Gaming PC, so RAM, SSD/HDD, processor, etc are all way above average
All drivers appear to be up to date
Router for wired/wireless internet is also nearby on desk - not sure if that matters

Answer:Wireless mouse and keyboard sometimes lag

Multiple processes can cause that. Especially if you are doing CPU intense programs that are causing the lag.

Answer:Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

Devilz,
I've owned 4 wireless keyboard mice combo's from Microsoft and now only Logitech. I find then very good with the exception of the battery/charging issues. These combo's are great until you have interference issue or run low on battery charge. Then they start to act up. I've switched back to a usb wired keyboard and I couldn't be happier this illuminated keyboard is also available wireless and all I can say is my typing skills and accuracy has improve at least 3-4 fold. Hi,
I have a few problems.
I bought a GE wireless keyboard and mouse and the weird things
started happening. I'm sure one has anything to do with the other and thats why I'm here.
My monitor started going blank after it was on for awhile. I thought my hubby did something to my computer and when I could not get the computer to stay running when I clicked on anything I reformatted XP Pro (by the way you really don't need a floppy to do that.) After all that the monitor still went blank when I clicked on something so I disconnected the wireless things and put my old ones back on. The same thing happened so I thought it might be my video card. Since it's on board I went ahead and ordered another which will be here tomorrow. However I hooked another computer up to the monitor and it played good for a bit but then it happened all over again. It doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing the screen just goes blank but the green light stays on. If I turn it off using the power button on the monitor itself then turn it back on it starts to play again.
PC is K7SEM, AMD 1500 processor, 1024 megs of ram, 80 gig hdd.
I have to say the the floppy drive went up but I think it's the connector on the board because if I try the same one on another computer it works.
I was wondering if the mobo is going up.
If the wireless mouse and keyboard could have done something to cause the problems stated above.
Or maybe the power supply is going up. I have a 450 watt in the... Read more

I would say Vista will install generic drivers for it and it will work but, if you want to make sure, why don't you go to the manufacturers website and see if they offer Vista drivers as well?

Besides, since you already have them, might as well try them out and see if they work well enough to use.

Another thing is, there may not be any changes between XP x32 & Vista x32 drivers... but I could be wrong.

My office is looking for a mouse/keyboard combo that can work about 30 feet away from the laptop. Line of sight is important as well since the uses will include presentations in a large room. I looked around Microsoft's site but they say nothing about distance and LOS issues.

Also, I need to know if there is a definite relationship between cost and quality. I know "you get what you pay for" but is there a major difference between a $100 mouse/keyboard and a $300 mouse/keyboard? Is there a good combo that is between $100 and $150, $150 to $200, etc.? I had this same problem with two microsoft desktop sets and one logitech. I tried different ports both in the front and in the back to no avail. I uninstalled usb root hub and reinstalled it by right clicking and scanning for new hardware. The usb root hub installed correctly. I have no exclamation points in device manager. I am beginning to think there is some usb issue. A thumb drive installed properly though. Please help with any ideas. Really need to solve this one.

Hey guys. Yet another thread by me!

I've got a wireless desktop set (Logitech MK250). The keyboard and the mouse work just fine, until I go play a game. Every few minutes my connection between the USB and the mouse or keyboard or sometimes both at the same time gets cut off/lagged. What the strange thing is that after cca. 3 seconds, when it's back to normal it does all the actions/responds to my typing that I've done in that mid-connection drop. I'm wondering if this is either a connection issue or a software issue. This only happnes when I play online games and at higher settings (tried low too, but it's still the same). Any suggestions on what this might all be about? And what can I do about it if at all!? I am really not willing to plug my old wired set back in and I really like to relax from time to time to play a game or two.
Regards,
YerOldPoison
PS: I am playing about a meter away from the USB receiver. Tho it still usually responds even at 5+ meters away from the receiver.

Answer:Wireless mouse and keyboard lag

I am expereincing the same issues using the Logitec MK 250 keyboard (i have the mouse too but have not expereinced any lag with it ) the keyboard however will lag intermitently, for what feals like 30 seconds at a time or more. Then run a number of the comands i gave it once it comes back to life.

This only happens when i'm playing call of duty (the only game i have instaled thusfar) The issue only ocures to the keyboard (ie no game lag as i am typicly getting shot up or exploded as my keyboard is failing me ) It also does not appear to have anything to do with the intesity of the graphic rendering at that moment or anything ells that is going on in the game.

this is a brand new comp with nearly nothing instaled on it other than the games and antivirus:

Win 7 64bit
Intel i7 870 @2.93ghz
gigabite motherboard
4gb 1600mhz Ram
ATI Radion 5700 w/ 1gb

If anyone can help us locate this issue i would like to know if this keyboard is a peace of junk or if there is somthing ells going on here.

P.s. I am also sitting less than 1m away from the comp and have moved the keyboard receiver to a direct lign of sight... the issue presists.

So, in this regard kindly help me in getting a combo pack of keyboard and mouse help. Please key in mind that , that should be cost effective.

Answer:wireless keyboard and mouse

Unfortunately, this won't be a question we can answer. Keyboards and mice are highly user specific. What I like, and think is cost effective, will be very different from your tastes. My favorite combo used to be the Logitech MX5500 Revolution.

However, I have since replaced the mouse with a G9 (corded) and the keyboard with a Logitech Wave cordless. (The Wave Cordless is also a wireless mouse/keyboard combo, but I hate the mouse.)

I was looking into buying a wireless keyboard and mouse most of them are around 100 dollars is their one in the 40 to 60 dollar range that is good or would I have to spend alot of money to get a good one. I mean it wouldnt have to work 12 feet away or anything I'd just like one with long battery life and that doesnt screw up and give me problems. Any suggestions?

I have a Logitech G5 v2, and a simple Key Tronic KB. I am looking toward wireless to get rid of the wires. I do like my G5, but I don't have a need for the extra buttons anymore.

I would like a mouse with a tilt wheel
I'm looking at RF, as BT is so expensive
No need for a media keyboard
I want it to be lasting on batteries, as I will be using it for every-day use.

My budget is $30-40

Anything else, please ask.

Answer:Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

I highly recommend against wireless mouse and keyboard. If you do any sort of gaming at all that requires snappy response then you'll immediately notice that there's a bit of a latency issue.
I have tried them before, and I just can't stand them. Especially wireless mice.

Maybe things have changed since I last tried using wireless devices, but last I tried it was slow to respond with games and I noticed input lag, so I recommend against it.

I have a new Logitech MK300 Wireless keyboard and mouse which is working correctly when connected to my Windows 7 PC. However, I also use a RISC OS PC which has a Simtec USB Card fitted and to which the MK300 is connected.
Up to about 3 weeks ago I had a PCLine wireless keyboard and mouse (from PC World) connected to my RISCPC for about 12 months, but it decided to die and had to be replaced, hence the Mk300.
I now find that at boot-up of the RISC PC I may or may not have both a working keyboard and mouse, usually it is just the keyboard which is functioning, if I then remove the USB plug from the socket and re-plug it the mouse will also work.
I am certain that the Logitech receiver is recognised by the USB card and both devices are also listed in the USB Devices information.
I know this is not a Windows PC problem but can anyone out there help please?

Answer:USB Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I should have added that I am unable to find a way to get both to work at boot up without removing the USB lead and replugging it.

My wireless keyboard and mouse have stopped working for the 2nd time.  I replaced the batteries and tried all of the troubleshooting steps on the website with no success.  The last time it happened I did a BIOS update and that fixed the problem.  Apparently I have the latest BIOS version so that is not an option this time.  Now what?
