I've lost the User Manual that came with my JVC DVD player. Some time ago someone posted a link which user manuals but I can't find it using the search menu. Can anyone help me with this or does anyone remember where the link is posted?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

I can't find one on the lenovo website for the 390e, or anything else in the 300 series.   I found one at a thrift store with a memory upgraded to 256 mb and a hard drive upgraded to 20 gb.  I want to install Puppy Linux Wary on it, and use it as a backup laptop when i vacation.  Unfortunately there is no manual and I cannot find a power button.

I couldn't find a user manual, but I did find the 390e HMM on the Hardware Maintenance Manual express support site, probably better than a user guide.  Just enter 390 in the search box at the top of the page.

Group, I've searched all variables I could think of here to no avail. I also have tried several times to track it down on Lenovo's site.  I can repair it and trouleshoot it with the documentation I've found. But, I'd also like to be able to "run" it.  My new X200 should be here today/tomorrow and I'd really like to RTFM before it gets here. Thanks for any leads someone can provide. Bob





X200 noob. A "few" years ago, my first PC was an IBM XT with a blazing 8.66 MHz clock, with monster 10MB hard drive and a beautiful 15" amber monitor.

there are no user manuals, only service and maintenance manuals.   if you have specific questions then please feel free to ask questions here on the forum as we'd be glad to help answer them. using your X200 will be as easy as opening the lid and pressing the power button.

Hi ,   I just bought T420 but unable to find User's Manual.The instructions says,"For the Windows 7 Operation system:Click Start and then click Help and Support.  The Windows Help and Support window opens. I have searched the Lenovo web site and all I can find are trouble shooting and modifying manuals.  Where is the user manual?

Which part of the laptop are you having trouble with? The closest you get to such a manual, is to actually press the blue thinkvantage button and follow the Thinkvantage productivity center.

So I'm on an epic quest about this obsolete motherboard of mine - However, I've been utterly unable to locate a manual for it ANYWHERE. Standard Google searches just aren't throwing up the goods, so I've decided to throw myself on the mercy of the forum-goers.
Please help me locate this manual! And if you DO find it - please let me know HOW you found it, as I've been working with ancient tech of late, and about half the motherboard manuals I've looked for are nowhere to be found, or the links that say they're for the manual are generally dead. The Motherboard in question is an ECS/PCCHIPS (apparently they're the same company? confusing) M935LR.

Please excuse me if there is any bad language in this post. I'm pretty sure that I removed it all. But I might have missed some.

Today, I bought an LG Blue-ray Disc Player model BP340 (at Wallmart). I bought the best model I could find because I wanted a good reliable product. Mostly what I wanted was a good User Interface. I wanted a large number of variable speeds to view my videos - both fast forward and slow motion forward - both forward and reverse.

But I am now very unhappy. It's probably my own stupid fault. Probably my lack of understanding.

I have bought several other DVD players in the past and found all of them to be lacking in one way or another - in regards to their user interface. I wanted the best user interface available and I was willing to pay as much as necessary to get it.

My main problem with this player is that I want to have a permanent display on the screen that shows how much of a program I have played so far and/or how much of a program is yet to be played. This is something that most all other players always do easily and I'm guessing this one will also do it. I just can't figure out how.

The first problem I encountered with this player was trying to understand the User Manual. That was because there was no user manual. There is a piece of paper that comes in the box and it says, "To view the instructions of advanced features visit http://www.lg.com and then download Owner's Manual."

I have an R7 371T laptop. Something unusual happened in my Acer folder app, where now all the User Manual shows is "Internet & Touchpad Assistance", the rest of the user manual pdf file is non existant.  I'd like to reload the manual into the Acer folder pdf app,but can't see how. Any ideas? I know the manual can be reloaded as a download file, however I'd just like to have it in the Acer "User Manual" folder App, on the left start menu in Windows 10 where it belongs. Sorry I couldn't find proper "Location" above to address my issue.

okbefore i was able to find the "USER" folder and i right clocked it and were it says attributes i clicked "hidden" and the folder disappeared ..i thought i could see again again if i went to "folder option" and click "show hidden" but i couldnt see it...
so how would i be able to see my user folder again?

Also..i dont know if this is related..but i am no longer able to change my backround or wallpaper?..i dont know y..i tried it and it gives me an error message "image cannot be set as wallpaper.an internal error has occurred"

btw i was able to change the backround normaly before i decided to mess things up..lol..

Hello,

I am unable to shutdown or restart my XP. It doesn't even begin the shutdown process. I just get this message: 'Windows cannot find '/idlist,:480:1656,C:\windows\system32\grouppolicy\user\scripts\logoff.' I tried finding and opening this logoff folder and I find it empty. I don't know if this is normal or not. Any assistance on this issue would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies

I happened to be looking in My Documents and I was lucky enough to find a fairly-recent registry cab file that I saved from Registry Expert Cleaner in January that I was able to restore, which put things back the way they were a couple of months ago. Things can get so easily messed up with all the junk that's out there to download. I still have a few programs to reinstall but most things are basically back to normal.

if anyone has just purchased refurb. t43 and is looking for User Manual--- guess what,  IBM does have one available on .pdf.  Needless to say ran me crazy trying to find--  but the secret is do your search on IBM with your Model number included--- i.e. mine is a T43 -1871  --- these earlier unit (2005 vintage) did have one available, and you can download off IBM site. Hope this helps.

Question: User manual

I'm not sure I've posted in the right area. I have recently purchased a factory reconditioned Acer Aspire Z5761 all in one computer.
It did not come with any hard copy user manual, I rang the Acer people and they told me the manual was installed on the hard drive but the only thing I can find is a generic Acer manual that says nothing specific about any model computer, I dont want to know how to clean my computer, I want to know how to access and use specific options that this computer has, ie TV tuner ect.
I have searched online at all the Acer sites but under this model they only list the generic manual. I find it hard to believe that there isnt a model specific manual that would give me a better understanding of what this computer has to offer and how to set up and use these features.
I have seen people on some forums reference their user manual for this model so I am confident there is one available.
I am hoping someone here has this exact model or knows someone with one that can email me a copy

I assume it runs Windows, right? There's no manual for Windows. It's just a generic computer with all the parts smushed into the monitor case. It probably has Windows Media Center installed. Also part of Windows.

Question: T410 User Manual

I've browsed the sites, and not only do they not have an email or a form for support, but I can't seem to find the user manual anywhere on the site(s).  What I'm attempting to do is disable the 'double-clicking' on the touch pad. On a side-note, (this is probably a Windows XP issue), I switch the primary and secondary buttons, for left-handed, and UI responds, and graphically I see the buttons switch, but the right button continues to be the primary. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Jeff

I just purchased a refurbished T43 laptop and am seeking a user's manual for it. The "Access IBM" button does not respond either on-line or off. I do not know if I am using it properly or not. This refers to the notepad my wife has just bought which is a Apple I PAD AIR
my son has now got it all sorted out for her as he is a bit of a computer whizzkid or so he says.He has installed netfix on it for her with the first month free I also have it on my laptop.But asked her how she is going to view the films and she says she will watch on the notepad but it is only about 10"Would like to know if it can connect to TV but no user manual came with it so dont know what connections there are.Really p*d off not getting manual eventually got onto Amazon customer live chat and they say cannot send one but I could download and print one but that is not acceptable wasting my ink and paper as there is a lot of printing to do.Finally they said I could collect one from their nearest store which is Brighton.Does anyone know what connections there are and what can be connected to it.Sorry for this being so long as I said P*d off

Manual available online. There are no printed manuals (as with most products nowadays) but the book I linked to in your other thread is very good but is not free.
Yes you can connect it to a TV but you will need to buy an HDMI connection kit. One end connects to the lightning connector and the other accepts the HDMI cable (mini at one end). The TV should automatically pick up the iPad and be a mirror image of the pad's screen.
There is only one connection on an iPad.

Dear allI recently bought a ei Systems 4215c laptop.Bought it from Dixons on line. On delivery i was a bit surprised that it didn't come with a user manual. I'm familiar with the basics with laptops but their are a lot of other keyboard symbols i don't recognise, plus whats the sliding drawer for on the right hand side.Anyway does anyone own one if so did you get the manual or does anyone know where i could buy one from. Answer:T410 User's manual

User's Manual for ThinkPads is a program called Access Help, it's an online user's guide. In order to install that application, you need a computer running Windows Vista, 7, or XP. I'm not sure whether it will install on computers, that are not ThinkPads. distribution package." Not true! I downloaded a few versions of AbiWord. They
do not have a help file you can use offline.

I've googled a lot. Can't find a sourceforge link for the complete help file. If it's
available, can someone point my browser to a downloadable help file for AbiWord.

I'm not stuck on AbiWord. I just want a lightweight word processing app that looks
like Microsoft Word (see attached image). My brain is accustom to MS Word, but I
don't need most of the features included with this huge app.

If I can find a help file for AbiWord, that's all I need. If not, can you recommend a
similar app that comes with a help file? It must be usable offline.

I have found the Hardware Maintenance Manual but think there is another manual stored on the W520 that covers other, more day-to-day usage. This is on the hard drive somewhere, right? ...or did I misplace an optical disk that came in the package? Have searched in the Lenovo web site for our model. Suggestions? jonathan7007

Answer:Where is the PDF file for the User Manual?

Do you have the factory installation of Windows 7 installed on the system?  What happens, more what do you see, when you press F1 after click in an empty area on the Desktop?
 
I've seen on some systems a version of what used to be called Access ThinkPad, the online users guide, but admittedly only searching quickly couldn't find a download.

I finally found out why my wireless keyboard didn't work as I mentioned in another thread several months back.
Evidently the USB wifi thingy was in a USB port that didn't work. When I was going thru this thread http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/unknown-device.202706/
I removed it thinking it might be the unknown device.
Anyhow, I've been trying to find the manual for my wireless KB & can't find it.

Hi Folks, I have recently purchased a new mp4 player from China which I am please with but will be more so when I can translate the manual, can any one please tell me where I can get one in English, sent them an email but they do not speak hardly any English and the manual that came with it is I have to admit a good laugh but does not solve the problem of how to get the things to work. All the icons on the front have chinese squiggles under them so not got a clue what they mean. Any help much appreciated

Use a download manager. Lots and lots of people have trouble downloading drivers/manuals from Lenovo servers [not meant to diss Lenovo by any means]. It's just the way it is. A download manager will ensure that you get the complete download.

This may be a dumb question but I just bought this as a used machine and nowwhere can I find a user manual. Doesn't seem to be one going thru the Thinkvantage menu. Going thru the Lenovo site I do the auto dectect and that reports what I already know about the model # and op. system. Then I fill out all the blanks for my product and then finally there is no 7666-W1U option, so choosing something close, I get a bunch of useless PDF downloads re: maint. and power settings etc.But no manual. Where are they hiding it? For starters, I just want to see a #$%^@*& manual to find out what all the buttons and functions do.

I'm trying to rewire an old Motherboard that had all it's wires disconnected. No problem for IDE, floppy disk and power from the powersupply, but the "switch connectors" (front power switch, HDD light, reset, etc) are another story. My motherboard's model number is M754AL-LR-FATX. A quick Google search came up with ABIT as the manufacturer. Went of course on the company's site but could not find manuals or drivers for this board (too old??). I'm not even sure it is the right manufacturer. Partial name on google gets me PC Chip manufacturer but nothing on their site either.

Basically, I just want to order with which to plug in the wires coming from the front of the computer case.

If anyone can help me find the actual manufacturer or manual for this motherboard, I would greatly appreciate it!

BTW, on the MB close to the pin connectors, there are instructions that say which pin numbers go for which connectors (numbers one to 22), but the pins themselves aren't numbered so it's not that much help. There are two rows of 11 pins. When I'm looking at the MB, where is pin #1, pin #2, etc... ?? If someone can help me number the pins, I'd probably do ok.

Hello guys, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction of any site that specializes in user/maintainence guides for pc/laptop.
I have a e-system 1201 netbook, with 1gb ram currently installed. I bought another 1gb off ebay and wanted to check out the manual before putting it in. However seeing as this thing has had about 3 owners before me...I've never had manual.

I have purchased a cordless phone from a boot sale,but there was no manual with it,i did go back and ask the chap if he had the manual but he said they didn't come with one and he couldn't find one any were on line,i was a bit sceptical about it but believed him.I did check myself and sure enough i cant find one either,even the makers site doesn't have a manual as the product is "NEW" according to the site,i find it strange that new products don't have manuals for them.The Phone is a Binatone MA760 i have been hereclick here but the pdf file that is supposed to be the manual tells me there isn't one available yet,does any one know where i can acquire a manual for this phone?.

Only suggestion I have ACOLYTE is try phoning them, just tell them you lost it and ask for a replacement. I've found their customers service to be quite good. Alternatively they might be able to tell you where on the web to get the manual even if they won't send one.

Hi all, I have just got a tablet PC, it came with its user guide which explains the basics about the machine but little else which is what I would expect really. To be able to do much with it I need to understand the O/S which is Android Jellybean which I have never used before. I found a APC BACK-UPS 500, model #BK500MUS, in the office I'm working at, and naturally the user manual has been lost for it. I checked APC's website and even called up their tech support, who kindly linked me to the user manual page. However, the BK500 they have on their site is not the same as mine. The manual they provided is for the CS version of the BK500, but mine is not the tower version.

I've included some pictures of the model I have in the faint hope that someone here may know where to find the manual, or already has one in their possession and can send me a copy:

I bought a Fluke 77 IV multimeter today to use at my job. A CD with user manual ect. was included in the box that I inserted into my PC running Vista Business x64. It would not open and the error messages are attached.Adobe reader is up to date according to Secunia. This CD opens fine on my XP machine.  What do I need to change on my Vista business x64 machine in order to open this document?As always, thanks for the help!Mike[regaining space - attachment deleted by admin]

Have you checked at the fluke website to see if they have a newer manual available for download? It apears from looking at your screenshots that this is not just a pdf, but a utility with a manual viewer. I'd try to track down the pdf through the manufacturer for the manual. Otherwise contact Fluke support and check with them to see if they know of any issues with their software and 64-bit OS. Hi all,

Can someone point out where I've gone wrong with this batch file.

I know it has to be run as an administrator to function correctly.

reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters /v "SearchList" /d "servername.net" /f
The basis here is that a 4 digit number is entered by the user eg: 90.21 which goes into the variable 'userinputip', then this is transferred into the ip address so it becomes 1.90.21.1

The funny thing is that if I set the static ip in the program it will work.

If I pause the program after it attempt to input the new ip adress, it does look as if it has worked, yet when I check it with ipconfig it shows that it hasn't, returning the dhcp address.
Perhaps what I want isn't possible, if that's the case then I have a few ideas:

The pc name will have numbers in it, like 9021 which can be resolved into a text file from dos using the command echo %computername% > c:\name.txt

This would return pc9021 providing the pc is named pc9021 into a text file, but how would I import the 9021 and make it 1.90.21.1 ??

Hope this makes sense, and thanks in advance for any help.

Ya, often the start program doesn't work in Vista/W7 because they want to use up current inventory instead of burning new disks. Try grabbing what you need from Fluke directly.
