Logitech Wireless Laser Mouse

Question: Logitech Wireless Laser Mouse

Several minutes, and sometimes less, after boot-up, the mouse becomes erratic, sometimes coming to a complete halt. Thinking it was either the interference of an outside signal or a build-up of static electricity, I have tried several things, including 1) rebooting, 2) disconnecting the power sources, 3) moving my external hard drive away from the mouse, 4) using different keypads to limit potential static build-up, 5) moving my entire system to a somewhat different location (fortunately, it's all on wheels) -- absolutely none of this works! Disconnecting the main power source and reconnecting it solves the problem sometimes, but only temporarily.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I just received an MX3200 keyboard/MX600 mouse combination and installed it on my Vista 32 machine. (I had previously used a no-name wireless combo that ultimately wore out.) I installed the latest Logitech drivers, made sure batteries were fresh, that it was properly connected. However, the mouse is not behaving properly. It acts like a regular roller ball mouse does when the ball is jammed or on the wrong surface--the cursor doesn't track the mouse motions. I have to repeatedly swipe the mouse on the pad to just get it to move a little. In fact, I had to turn my pad over (i have a stiff pad designed for laser/optical mice) to get even lousy responsiveness. I've tried the mouse on soft pads, on the table, on a piece of white paper, to no avail. I made sure the BIOS enabled USB mice. I"ve checked control panel settings, the logitech utility, but nothing there improves the situation. Any advice?

(I used my wired mouse to create this note).

Hello,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-620-Wireless-Laser-Mouse/dp/B000QRI270

I have one of these and every so often it the mouse pointer sticks for several seconds which is annoying when gaming etc. I've only had it a few months of which its been for the last 2 to 3.

I haven't got the software installed as I see no reason why it would prevent it sticking + sucks up system resources.

It does it both on my desk which is a plastic surface with a bubbly effect and a mouse mat, both clean.

Is there anything else which could be causing this or is it just due to wireless-ness?

Thanks!

Answer:Logitech laser 660 mouse

I don't use the Logitech software but I'd imagine the setting would be.

If you can't find it I'd just uninstall the Logitech Mouse software from Add & Remove Programs and reinstall it.

You can get the latest version of Logitech's Mouseware from here: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=1793,contentid=6003

A couple of months ago, I purchased a new Logitech MX610 cordless, laser mouse. I was hoping to use this in conjunction with my system which has a Gigabyte K8N-SLI motherboard, 3200+ processor and 1 gig of DDR. My PCI express graphics card is only a Radeon X300 SE. Since installing the new mouse it has been very erratic with the cursor, so I have been trying to rectify this fault by following all the advice on Logitech website. After a couple of months I have tried everything possible, including putting the small USB connector onto a USB extension, so that it is away from the main computer system. Still, after it has warmed up for a minute or two, the mouse cursor jumps everywhere on the VDU. Has anyone else experienced this with this mouse, and been able to rectify it. I do like the build of this mouse, so I would like to be able to use it. Thanks for any help given.

Oddly the problem has been solved for many with Logitech mice by uninstalling the Logitech software and using the default Windows drivers for a mouse.

Hi
I have a problem with my g7 mouse , I have it 2 months now with no problems but the other day my son dropped it pretty hard. Next day i couldn't double click to login to my pc so i used the keyboard and once logged in mouse was fine. Since then the problems have gotten worse , every so often ( anywhere from 5 to 50 minutes) the buttons will cease to function on the mouse but i can still move the cursor, if I press ctrl + alt + del and then close task manager the buttons work again for a while and then it happens again . When playing games ( 2-4 hours) there are no problems . Dont know if this is a hardware or software problem. i have reinstalled both mouse and drivers , changed usb ports , system restored to a point before problems but nothing seems to work. Any help or ideas would be great thanks.

Hi Every time I place the mouse into its receiver a pop-up box appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen saying 'Your MX 1000 Laser Mouse's Batteries are critical'. I do not understand why this is happening (it has been doing it for about 4 months) as it is a rechargeable item and the batteries in the mouse cannot be replaced as far as I know. The mouse has 3 green lights on. I have asked Logitech and they are talking about the Logitech SetPoint files being corrupt and to reinstall but in Clean Boot. This is far beyond my knowledge so does anyone know an easier way please. Thanks Di

Answer:Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse

U need to go into ur windows control panel and selecting the install/uninstall programs. Find the Logitech setpoint application and then unintall it. THen reinstall using either the disk, or download it from the Logitech website. Im affraid its the only thing you can do, I very much doubt that its a hardware problem. If u need any more help or a more detailed walk through just ask.

Yesterday, I read a column by Craig Crossman about the new Logitech cordless mouse.

The second paragraph of the article states (in part): "...The cordless mouse uses the 2.4-gigahertz frequency unlike conventional wireless mice. This gives the V400 a more consistent 30-foot range with less interference..."

That confuses me because I thought 2.4 GHz things (e.g., telephones) were to be avoided because they interfere with wireless networks, most, (if not all) of which run on 2.4 GHz.

Since this mouse is meant to be used with notebooks, and most notebooks have wireless capabilities, how can the mouse's using the 2.4-gigahertz frequency be advantageous and not problematic?

Thank you.

Hi,

I've got a Logitech diNovo Media Desktop Laser bluetooth keyboard & mouse set - but its not working properly with my PC.
The mouse is uncontrollable - it will be fine for a few minutes then it will assume a mind of its own. It always seems to run a second or 2 behind my actual movements, which renders it unuseable!! The keyboard is the same, but its not so much of a problem as the mouse. It seems that its a problem with a delayed signal or something.

I have tried it with other PC's and it has been fine. It worked fine for me in work & I also tried a laptop in the same location as my PC - with no problems.

There are no other wireless or bluetooth equipment in the immediate vicinity.

I have tried reinstalling windows to see if that made any difference, but no...its exactly the same - Im running XP SP2.

I really dont know what else to do ?

Cheers all.

Ok here's the thing. I bought the wirless mouse sometime last year, and I've never had any problems with it. Untill recently, it just basically stopped working all together. At first I thought the batteries just needed changed so I did that and like the light wouldn't come on at all on the mouse and the curosr on the screen wouldn't move either . So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it...still nothing. Now I have to use a gay mouse and it's really annoying. What could be wrong with my mouse all of a sudden?Oh and I have Windows XP.

I had to replace my keyboard after 3 1/2 yrs since the keys were sticking and the letters worn off. I bought the Microsoft Wireless Laser 6000 Mouse with the wireless keyboard. It works great with one problem. If I enable "allow this device to bring computer out of Standby" for either the mouse or the keyboard, the computer never goes into a full standby. The fan is always running and so are some other parts of the computer. If I dont configure the mouse or keyboard that way, the computer will go into regular and complete standby but will need to be turned on with the power button to bring it out of standby. The Receiver is USB so Im thinking the reason the computer doesnt completly power down is due to the receiver needing to be active. Is there a work around or do I just stick with using the power button?

Hey all,

I just installed Windows 7 earlier today. The install went fine, until right near the end. I had to click 'next' to a question, which I had already done a few times, but this time the tab was not responding. I tried again and again, then finally just hovered over the tab and pressed enter on my keyboard which did the trick.

Now that the OS is up and running, everything is working fine but I just have one problem. My left mouse button is doubling up as a 'back' button. So if I am in a folder and want to double click a new folder, or even if I just left click on empty space, it will take me backwards one folder. A nightmare in internet explorer aswell.

For the time being Ive switched the two buttons around, so I have an action button, but no right click (on the left mouse button now) anymore.

Ive tried installing the original drivers, and in compatibility for Vista, but nothing seems to fix the problem. Anybody have any suggestions? Id be real grateful to hear them

Cheers,

Oh and the mouse is a Logitech LX7 wireless.

Thanks,
Mikes

I believe I'm having some sort of signal problem with my wireless mouse. I play an online game in which you can hold down the right mouse button to look around. Occasionally it will get locked like that, and I have to click the button for it to fix itself.

I surmise that for whatever reason, I click and hold down the button, but when I release it, it is not registering that I have done so, so it just acts as if I am still holding the mouse button down. Clicking it once gets the signal sent that I have released it.

My friend reports having the same problem with his wireless mouse, yet far less frequently.

I've always had little annoying problems like this with wireless mice, and I'm beginning to think they are inferior in overall design to something much less complicated, like a wired mouse. Does anyone know what my problem might be?

Answer:Problems With Wireless Laser Mouse

Well, the connection between a wireless mouse and its receiver occasionally drops, sometimes for a millisecond or so, sometimes for longer. In your case... It'd seem a bit odd for it to only do that kind of errors.. Anyways, if you want to get rid of this problem, start by testing with a decent wired mouse... The wire is always there, whereas the wireless link isn't.

Question: What about turning it off for the night or whenever I leave my computer? So that I don?t change them every two-three days. Thank you for your help with such a stupid question.

The mouse should go into a low power mode so it doesn't use that much battery power.

New Years Greetings!
I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 (March 2007) with Vista.

I just installed the Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000...several times in fact!
First time it worked. Then after rebooting, it came up with a message with 3 choices:
- install driver (had already done that)
- don't ask again
- (I forget what this said)
So I said "don't ask again" and that's when the mouse went dead! Argh!
After uninstalling and installing from the disk TWICE, (pressing all the correct buttons on the transmitter and mouse and unconnecting the USB before this)
I finally downloaded the driver from online just in case it was the driver that came on the disc. It is Driver Version 6.20.173.0
Finally got it to work, HOURS LATER! but not on my mouse USB port which is the PS/2 Port that says IRQ 0x0000000C (12)

I had to move the USB connector to another port.
I spent [email protected]! trying to install and uninstall this and am coming to the conclusion that VISTA is the problem. Am I right?
I went to all the help features and did all the right things.
Device Manager says this new mouse is there. Says it is working properly.
But then nothing happened until I moved it to another port.
I would like to plug the USB into the normal mouse port. But it probably won't work. Why?
Am seriously considering a Mac for the first time since I started using a computer in 1980s! Thanks for any and all suggestions. Cheers!

I am considering purchasing the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 as the Logitech MX Revolution I have had replaced twice since I initially purchased it in Feb 2008 has developed the same fault again, i.e. The Freespin wheel has begun to wear out and as such intermittently the Freespin feature stops working, the last MX Revolution suffered the same fault and eventually the fault got worse. Very disappointed as otherwise I find the mouse to be goodAnyway that's beside the point:I was wondering if anyone uses the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000, and the Intellipoint V6.2 software and could tell me if it is possible to set the mouse up with the Intellipoint software to allow the two buttons where your thumb goes to go back and forward a page on IE7 & Firefox?

I think you will find the software is upto v6.3 well thats what im using at this time with a 5000 and yes the buttons can be configured. The two buttons on the left side (thumbside) have been set to lower button (magnifier) top button (Back button)

Hoping this is a simple fix.....
the scrolling on my mouse is choppy, when I scroll an IE page it has like a delay? Its not a smooth scroll. I have been all over my manual and support for it and cannot find anything that will change this. The settings offer up slow-fast options but it only causes the page to flip faster or slower duh lol sorry I am at a loss as to how to describe this. Let me know if I can tell you anything that would be of help.

Answer:MFST wireless laser mouse 6000

No one familiar? I have been digging but cannot find a solution. This really seems to be a simple fix with-in the controls but there is not any option that corrects this. You scroll and the page moves with a delay and a line as if going page by page. I had first thought it was a setting within IE but it also does this in notebook and other software programs. Even sliding the sidebar vs. scroll is choppy. Any suggestion would be nice thank you.

Hi

I am new to this forum and please forgive me if i didn't do something by the rules.
Here is my problem, i'll try to be as concise as possible.

Just yesterday i bought Wireless Keyboard/Mouse (laser) combo from Sweex (product code KB225US).

After two hrs of work the mouse pointer stopped responding. This happened after i rebooted my machine because of system freeze while playing with keyboard costumisation and copying files into the external HDD . I recall killing two or three processes, don't remember which one.
Receiver works ok on whichever USB port i put it into.
Mouse buttons work ok
Keyboard works ok
Pointer reacts (a little) only when exposed to direct light.
Batteries are new

Went back to the store this morning for replacement but it worked fine on their newer comps that were for sale. But same problem occurred with two older comps at work this evening.

My actions wereSwitched USB ports several times
Swithced off WiFi/ changed channel (to prevent interference)
Driver uninstall/reinstall several times (from CD/website)
Mouse uninstall/install (device manager)
Uninstall Wacom Intuos3 Ddriver

Nothing worked

I am willing to fight to the death for this mouse
Please help me. Should i go safe mode or registry or whatever? Just don't tell me to format, i have so many softwares installed. However, no other mouse software.

Specs:
WinXP Pro
Version 2002
SP2
AMD Athlon 64x2

Thanks in advance

Hi,
I ordered a new MS wireless laser mouse 5000 because after several yrs my old one went bad. Well, I have retained the MS wireless comfort keyboard 4000. Now, when I try to install software through CD MS intellipoint 6.3, I essentially have the following
msg.:  I'm told that that this cd is blocked because it is not compatible w/ windows 7. Another problem is that with the new mouse I can not type anything. This, of course, could be the result of not being able to install the CD that came w/ the mouse.
Now, I've tried about everything---all the downloads which  I could find, and apparently, I'm current w/ the software/drivers.  I just don't know what next to do; I'm not very experienced w/ these things.
Does anyone have any answers; those laser mice are expensive.
Thanks.

Hello all,

I am having an issue here and I am not quite sure how to resolve it. I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 and I also have a wireless home network using a D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router. I am using Windows Vista, and when I am using the mouse with my computer and the wireless network enabled the mouse pointer moves very erratically and does not move smoothly at all. The computer is plugged in directly into the router with an ethernet cable, it is not using a wireless NIC card.

I am fairly certain this is from interference from the wireless router, i have tried different channels to see if I would get less interference but none of that seems to help any. There does not seem to be any settings for my mouse where i can choose what channel it is running on, it runs on Bluetooth. The wireless router is running 802.11g and as far as I know, this and Bluetooth both run at 2.4ghz.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Fortunately I keep a wired mouse and keyboard strategically hidden just in case.

I just booted into W7 and noticed on the log-on screen that the mouse was behaving erratically - would judder around the screen rather than glide.

Anyway I uninstalled it once I'd booted up and went to reinstall it. It worked but Windows asked for a restart. This had never ever happened before. It even asked for the WEI to be refreshed! I've checked and I can't see anything different driver-wise. I've gone through the motions of uninstalling/reinstalling mouse and keyboard dozens of times but never had this happen.

Comments anyone?

formatted to no avail trying to solve this problem and found out unplugging this from the USB port made the Screensaver and all come on.

but I have yet to find a fix for it when it is plugged in, the HID Filter or whatever update did not fix this issue, if nothing else was probably responsible for it more then anything.

I even went into device manager power settings to disable them to wake up the computer and it didnt fix the problem either.

anyone got any ideas?

Answer:Screensaver dont come on with MS Wireless laser Mouse and Keyboard 5000

You could try taking the mouse batteries out. This will rule out that it is making tiny detections of movement even if unintended, while away. If the screensaver comes on, then you know it's doing this. Then, you can try lowering the dpi it uses, if it has that ability. Basically, test it out like this for a minute.

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone has some suggestions for my new problem.

The problem:

My new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 installs on my laptop the way any normal mouse should. I have since decided to use this new mouse on my desktop PC instead, which was successfully using a wired mouse. When plugging the new mouse in, the New Hardware Wizard could not install the mouse. On top of all this, when I reverted back to my old "wired" mouse, the wizard could not install this mouth either. Something has gone wrong and now I can't install any mice. I have tried all three mice that I own, and it seems that my computer is just having trouble installing mice in general. All the mice install fine on other computer.

Behaviour:
-wizard says, "cannot install this hardware"
-mouse is listed in DEVICE MANAGER as "other device" with a yellow exclamation mark
-pointer arrow remains in the middle of screen, mouse doesn't work to move it around.
-USB ports work fine for my other USB devices. I've tried them all
-Microsoft Intellipoint software is up to date, installed and seemingly ok when I open it in control panel

Already done:
-tried replacing DRIVER.CAB from WinXP installation disc
-tried uninstalling the mouse in DEVICE MANAGER, unistalling Intellipoint, and starting the whole process over again.
-tried changing channels from the mouse to the receiver, but that isn't relevant to the problem anyways since I know the mouse w... Read more

So I'm currently having an issue with my Wireless Laser 8000 (Bluetooth) and hoping someone here might have some insight on it as my googlefu is not getting any results and I really don't want to replace the mouse as I'm using it in combo with the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 keyboard and pretty much love this setup right now.

As of late my mouse has decided to basically throw itself in to sleep mode after about 3-5 seconds of no activity. This doesn't happen all the time but it's getting kind of insane as bringing it out of sleep causes some serious mouse lag and/or quite a bit of moving or a click to reactivate it.

Anyone with this mouse ever run in to a problem like this or in general? The keyboard isn't running in to any issues in regards to losing signal and/or sleeping and not kicking in right.

Unfortunately the Wireless Laser 8000 has been discontinued so I can't even get a proper replacement for it and have to get one of the new bluetrack mice, but none of them are rechargeable .

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Wireless Laser 8000 - Mouse sleeps after a couple of seconds

Frist thing comes to mind for me is; have you checked the battery status to see if it needs replaced. On rechargable batteries, there is a set number of recharges it can have and they do go bad from time to time. I would start there first, replace the battery. Here's a link to the mouse if you have not already checked it out.

I just bought a Mouseman Logitech wireless, optical mouse to use on my HP laptop, running XP. The mouses's receiver has a USB connection, and an adapter for a PS/2 plug. The laptop only has a USB connection, so that's what I'm using. Trouble is, I can't get anywhere with the installation.

The receiver's plugged in, software loaded and batteries in the mouse, but there's no communication between the two. The receiver doesn't use batteries too, does it? I can't see any way to open it up safely.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Open Unifying software, un-pair the mouse and pair it again.

So I have the mouse in the thread title, and it has this new problem of randomly freezing up randomly for three to five seconds. It's incredibly annoying. There's a thread on the Logitech forums about it, but Logitech isn't that helpful

You can see it here: Logitech mouse G7 freezes - Mice - Hardware - Logitech Forums

Anywho, someone claims it's a driver issue, so I'm posting it in this section. It happened on my XP laptop, too, so it's not technically a Vista 64 trouble. Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice you guys could offer.

I just purchased a Logitech M505 Wireless Laser mouse. My computer is an i7 Core machine with Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. Inserting the USB receiver plug caused the normal driver install process which was successful. However, no mouse action at all. I've tried different USB slots to no avail. My Microsoft laptop wireless mouse works fine, from all the same USB slots. The M505 does work on another computer running in the house (laptop with Windows 7 64-bit Professional).
Don't believe it's the mouse itself. I originally bought the M705 model and took it back when I couldn't get it to work, thinking it was defective (the same conclusion reached by Logitech Tecnical Support). They were out of stock for the M705 so I replaced it with the M505, only to get the same result.

Answer:Logitech Wireless Mouse Problem

If you haven't already I would install the latest Logitech software/driver for it. If its a Logitech Unifying Receiver installing the unifying software may help you get it connected and working. I have a Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 that uses a Unifying Receiver. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it actually worked while installing Windows 7. Even so I installed the latest unifying software anyway. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I'm thinking about getting an MX700 wireless mouse and plan on using it for everything from web browsing to fast paced gaming. All of the reviews I have read has said that it has little to no lag so I'm confident that it sould suit my needs fine. But it has been available for at least a year and a half now (possible longer) and I was wondering if there was a better wireless mouse than the MX700.

Answer:Logitech MX700 Wireless Mouse

I have had the mx700 for almost 20 months. Its a great mouse for gaming to anything web based and anything else. I like the side buttons for games and for forward and back while web browsing. I am thinking of getting a mx1000, its laser instead of optical. I have tried it out and it is the best mouse I have tried. If you dont want to spend 70$ on the mx1000, I would suggest the mx700 as the next best mouse out there. I dont have any complaints on the mx700. It runs on nimh AA batteries. I often use regular AA batteries that my cd has used up. I tend to get four more days out of them before they die.

I would say go for it. Logitech makes great products, which ever one you decide on.

I'm unsure of why this started, in all honesty - it was working earlier today, and out of nowhere, it stopped working. I frequently use the right click, and I do know that the switches tend to give out after a good while. To make sure it wasn't the function itself, I switched the left/right click functions through the control panel, and the function worked fine. I've also tested another mouse (temporarily using it) to make sure it's not my computer. I'm just wondering - based off of this, is my suspicion of a failing switch probable?

On another note, my keyboard seems to be "slowing down" a bit. I haven't toyed with the settings to speed up or slow down anything, but when I hold down a key, it takes longer to repeat it than it was earlier (before the right click gave out). They are both wireless Logitech hardware items - could the problem lie in the receiver?

This is really bothering me - help's appreciated!

(I don't find it TOO important in this case, but I'm running on XP p: )

However, later on when my wife logged on the message I got was that it couldn't find the keyboard and the PC would just completely freeze.I re-logged back on as myself and also got the same problem. The keyboard has a LCD display and this gives you a message of 'no Connection'. I pressed the connect buttons but this had no effect. I re-booted the PC and on start up it gave the message of 'no keyboard present' and I'm unable to go any further at this point. I also had a temperture warning as well.Is there something in the Bios that I need to enable to get over this problem.Zonealarm was also giving me a number of security warnings not sure if this was effecting it as well. I have disconnected the mouse and keyboard. I have tried to uninstall the software, but all of my attempts have been fruitless. Hi All,

I'm trying to help a friend install a Logitech MX610 on his Acer Travelmate 4060 laptop without any success.
We've tried every USB port on the computer, and tried installing all of the software which came with the CD included in the box. After running the Hardware Wizard, Windows XP Pro says that it can't install the device.
We've spent time on the phone with Logitech tech support, and they say that it's a defective device, and are sending us a new mouse; however, when I plug the unit into my brand new desktop PC, it starts working immediately.

Just wondering if anybody has had any similar experiences, or have any tips.

Thanks a lot in advance.

This is also used with a Logitech wireless keyboard model K350 and has in the past worked Ok with the mouse. I have also tried to remove all the redundant devices using device manager and this does not work either. Any useful advice on how to overcome this problem would be most appreciated.

So far (and this could change too, but..) I've narrowed it down to two mice (linked above): the Logitech Wireless MX1000, or the Razer Diamondback (Plasma Ed.)

I'm buying a new mouse-- I've read the reviews across the board, but none seem to compare the two, OR mention two particular things (comparatively):

I want the best mouse for gaming and advanced graphic editing... what do you think is best? Gaming--the only real requirement is fast (hah), and imaging...just being able to precisely move the mouse. I've heard the MX1000 is a bit bulky for anything but graphics. I saw it in the stores, and it seemed -ok-, but unfortunately, the Razer isn't readily available.

Any help/suggestions welcome--and thanks in advance!

In the process of renovating a VERY old Dell Inspiron 2650 to give to disadvantaged kids, I tried using the USB receiver in that laptop. Didn't work, so I used a wired mouse instead. The receiver had been plugged into my Win 7 Toshiba laptop, but when I re-inserted the receiver back into that laptop, the mouse doesn't work. I've tried removing both the receiver and the battery in the mouse, per some advice I read on the Web, but that did nothing. Have also tried downloading the driver. Regardless, when I plug the receiver into a USB port on the laptop, it "beeps" indicating that it recognizes the receiver. . . but it still doesn't work.

If I plug the receiver into my Win 7 desktop, the mouse works.

Are you certain the USB port in use for the dongle is working? Go to the link below to download the driver.http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com...

I just recieved the brand new Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 today from Newegg. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and it is working, except for the fact that I can not see it in Setpoint 6.15 to configure buttons and etc. I would assume its so new that the latest software doesn't support it, seeing how I was unable to register it because it wasn't on the device listing. Does anyone have any insight on this? Hopefully and update comes soon so I can actually use the currently useless 6 buttons.

One small unrelated issue that logitech should fix on the site is when you are searching for mice, the g700 will appear if you have it set to show only unifying devices. I stumbled across this mouse looking for mice that use the unifying reciever. It popped up and I didnt check twice. Not a huge problem, just 1 more dongle plugged in. It did have me scratching my head for a few minutes when trying to install it though.

After every major Windows 10 update, I have experienced problems with my logitech wireless mouse (M235). When I've turned the computer on, the screen has frequently frozen with the spinning dots, but after I've removed the mouse dongle from the USB port, everything has proceeded normally; replacing the dongle and rebooting has restored normal mouse function.
But following the latest update, my mouse is just not recognised. I still get the spinning dots when I turn on the PC, and it boots normally when I remove the mouse dongle, but after that I cannot use the mouse at all. I'm trying to remove the drivers so that I can reinstall them, but I can't get rid of them via device manager. I have also unsuccessfully tried to remove setpoint. Interestingly, when I go to Properties of the mouse, I'm told there is no driver installed. And yet if I go to the details of the drivers, there are two listed:
C:\WINDOWS/system32/DRIVERS/mouclass.sys
and
C:\WINDOWS/system32/DRIVERS/mouhid.sys
I figured that if I could remove all the previously installed (corrupted?) mouse drivers, I could reinstall them, even via plug and play.
Can anyone offer some advice??

Hello -
I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga laptop running Windows 10 for the wife, along with a travel docking station. She wants to be able to run 2 external monitors, which is no problem, and I got all this running well. I then got her a Logitech K270 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo (I've been using a Wireless Microsoft Keyboard 800 and a Wireless Logitech Mouse M510 on my own Windows 7 setup for a couple years now with no problems.)

With my wife's Windows 10 setup, I plug in the docking station to the laptop's serial port (the unifying receiver is plugged into the serial port on the docking station), and the wireless keyboard and mouse become activated. However, although it seems like the wireless devices seem to TRY to work, they don't really. It might take minutes for the mouse to be more than just partially responsive, sometimes the keyboard is completely unresponsive, or the mouse might work perfectly at first, only to become unresponsive minutes later. I've noticed, too, that the left and right mouse buttons may even behave in reverse. IDK - I guess it could be the driver, or maybe a port conflict, but not sure how to solve, as I'm a Windows 10 novice.

I've seen online references to getting a driver for my K270 combo, but nothing definitive. Also, i've gotten great guidance from this site for past issues, so I like to try this support community pretty quickly. As a side issue, can I assume that a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse combo would have worked o... Read more
