Microsoft office has stopped working when saving

Question: Microsoft office has stopped working when saving

Help!

Whenever I try to save in Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) I get the above error message and then it closes.

I have removed AVG from my computer and also uninstalled office and reinstalled it but this doesnt' help.

I can get it to work in safe mode but is there anything I can do to get it working properly?

Thank you!

Preferred Solution: Microsoft office has stopped working when saving

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Microsoft office has stopped working when saving

last time I had that problem and ran Office Diagnostics, it said the hard drive was the problem so I tested it and indeed the test confirmed it. New hard drive fixed the problem. However, I'm not suggesting you rush out and buy a new hard drive. Test it first with DOS-based diagnostic software like SeaTools for DOS which can test any drive brand and runs from a bootable CD:

Since yesterday, I have been receiving the above message when I close Outlook (the program otherwise functions normally).I had recently removed PC Tools Antivirus and replaced it with AVG Free antivirus, but I don't think that this is the cause of the problem. For the record, I have Office 2007 Professional, Vista Home Premium, ZoneAlarm, Advanced WindowsCare V2 Personal, and Acrobat 8.1.2.One thing that might be of use in solving the situation: I had previously noticed that 2 add-ins had been disactivated by Outlook -- one for unified messaging in MS Exchange, and the other for PDF files in Outlook -- and now the latter (pdfmoutlook.dll) is no longer disactivated. I don't know how to go about disactivating this driver again.I have already tried using the various fix options for Office and Outlook, but the problem persists. All suggestions welcomed.Florio

I had a similar issue when I used AVG which has an email av function. After uninstalling AVG including all it's components using the AVG tool the problem stopped.

I have installed Office 2003 on a Windows 7 Professional laptop. Excel intermittantly crashes with error message 'Microsoft Office Excel has stopped working'. The error occurs while doing various things, such as copy & paste, closing Excel, running macros etc.
Following advice from other forums I've tried

Repairing Excel.
Reinstalling Excel.
Disabling Bluetooth.
Setting BtOfficeAddin.BtOfficeIntegration data entry in the registry to 0x00000000 (0).
The macros worked fine on XP but I keep getting this error on Windows 7. Does anyone have any advice?

“Microsoft word has stopped working”

This happens when:
Word 2007 is closed after working on a 2003 document
Word 2007 is closed after working on 2007 documents along with a 2003
document. Everything works fine until the last document is closed and word is
completely closed. And it does not matter whether it’s an 03 or 07 document.
Word 2007 closes correctly when working with only 2007 documents.

Every time I try and save or close a Word, Excel or PPT file I get the message that the program has stopped and then quits.
I've booted in Safe Mode and didn't get the same problem.
I've deleted unused programs (not Avast 2015 software).
I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office and I've removed the Add-ins COM in both Excel and Word.
I'm on a Dell running Windows Vista.
Any ideas on what else to do, to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all! i have a problem with Microsoft office word 2003. the program works great until i try and save a file, when i click save and the "save as" screen pops up and it shows (my documents) in the save in location if i click save it works fine , but if i click on the arrow on the right to change the "save in " location it freezes every time. i have to end up using control alt delete to stop the non responding program, so i am forced to save in "my documents only"! it worked fine after i installed the program for months but just recently started doing this. i noticed that it does it in power point also, all the other programs "save in" location works ok. I uninstall ed and reinstalled office 2003 a few times but it still did not fix the problem restarting did not help either, i also used the "repair and fix" utility on the c/d but that did not help either. my computer works great in every other area so i think the problem is only in the Microsoft office files, but i have no idea on what to do to repair the problem. the problem did start happening shortly after a windows update, every thing els works good so i don't know if that has any thing to do with it . i just recently ran a registry fix software which got rid of a system32 error message that i started getting after a Microsoft update. but that did not help the problem either. can someone please help me i have very little computer experience in these type of problems a... Hi, whenever I try to save a file in Word (or any program) and press 'OK', or right click a file to 'open with... > choose default program' and I select a program and press 'open', it gives me a '(something) has stopped working' error. Also, pressing enter instead of clicking on the button seems to bypass the error.

I'm sorry I can't be more specific, right now my computer is inaccessable (no monitor)

I checked on the stability report last night, and I found out that the "Get Office" app has been having issues every single day.

The computer does not crash, and there was no error message. Without examining the stability report, one would never know there's anything wrong.

I uninstalled the app, and everything seems to be fine now. I sign onto Windows locally, without using my Outlook account.

It's an annoying nagware anyway. Nevertheless, I am curious on whether anyone else has noticed this.

Answer:Get Office app has stopped working

I get the same, plus a couple of others

I usually just ignore crashes in the reliability report, wait for ms to fix them, they don't usually cause any issues

I loaded this on the machine years ago and it has always worked just fine. This last week it started to act funny, the cursor moving on its own, the font looks like a print job with low ink, So I put the disc in and the machine told me Vista HP is not compatible with Office 2K. What is up with that? I'm suspecting and MS update that made this so and hoping someone knows of it so I can remove that update.

Otherwise I have no idea what may be going on. I am going to do an ESET online scan and MWB as soon as I post.

I use jump lists all the time, as I cannot remember file names or locations.
I use Office Pro 2007 with Windows 7 on a laptop.
A week or so ago my jump lists in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint stopped working. The lists were there, but contained old files, no new ones.
I deleted %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations and \CustomDestinations but the lists remained.
I then went to the programmes, Options, Advanced, set the lists to 0. They disappeared. I reset to 20. The won't reappear when I open and close files, so now I have no lists at all.
I have tried to find registry folders suggested by other threads, but they are not there.
I have rebooted, and even repaired Office using the original discs, all to no avail.
I guess there's a corrupt file somewhere...?

Hi,

I am hoping someone might be able to help me with the following error message I have started receiving when trying to open a Microsoft Office doc (Word, Excel or PowerPoint).

When I try to open one of these documents I get a "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office XP Professional" message... and then "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM...Insert Microsoft Office XP disc". My laptop (Samsung) is 3/4 years old and I no longer have the disc.. I have had this problem in the past and have managed to fix it by doing the following, whcih I have seen suggested a few places,.. Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs / Microsoft Office / Change / Reinstall or Repair / Next / Detect and Repair errors in my Office Installation / Next... after canceling out of this, it has, in the past, fixed the problem.

However, it does not seem to work on this occasion.

I can actually open, and edit documents, by clicking on a document, and then clicking "Cancel" when the above error messages appear and then clicking "File / Open". It’s just annoying and a long winded way to open files and clearly something isn’t quite right...

Im using: Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3, Build 2600.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks all,

Sean

The mouse pointer has stopped working with Office 2007 whenever I try to do something with it in the document. I can see the pointer, I can move the pointer, but I cannot highlight words, right or left click anything in the document. The pointer does work when I click on the menu though. I've tried ruinning Office Diagnostics and it reported no problems. I also installed Windows service pack 1 and tried to install Office service pack 3, but it said it was already installed. Office has also stopped working and restarts itself whenever I try to close office and save the files on the task pane to view later. This all happened overnigtnight while I had the computer on sleep mode. I am not sure what could have done this and I've restarted my computer and office many times and installed all of the recent updates for Vista.

hi,

I just spent 2 days tearing my hair out on a problem with Outlook 2007.
Aside from it crashing sporatically ever since it was installed, it finally stopped working with Vista telling me that "outlook has stopped working" and closes the app.

With all the research I did on the web, the proposed solutions were to:
1. scan the ost and pst files and repair any errors (scanpst scanost, included apps with outlook)
2. turn off DEP
3. remove installed add-ons for Outlook
4. run Office diags

I did all the above and nothing helped with the problem, so after finding out that there was a sync problem with exchange server, I wanted to detail this somewhere on a forum for others to know about. once I took out the exchange account, and used a pop account it worked again, but of course I don't have the features of exchange...bummer.

here is basically what I wrote to MS...

There is a problem with Outlook 2007 that crashes when connected to exchange server 2k3. I have the latest version of Outlook installed 12.0.6014.5000.

The application would terminate when attempting to sync with the exchange server. "microsoft office outlook has stopped working" would appear and then outlook is terminated.

OST was reset but did not fix the problem.
OST was also scanned for errors but did not fix the problem.

once the exchange account was deleted and I setup a pop account , Outlook worked fine.

Outlook had worked with exchange up till a few days ago, there were a fe... Read more

I was pleasantly surprised to get a response from a Microsoft engineer to help with this problem. The following gave me a fix for the problem.

"Your issue is known and we are tracking it to fix in a future SP. From what I can tell without stepping through the code is that it appears to be a corrupted view. To work around a corrupted view you can launch outlook from the command prompt as “outlook /cleanviews” using the profile that is having problems. The cleanviews switch will wipe ALL custom views in your mailbox so you will only want to boot that way once. See more info at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197180"

Why did you install the Windows Live Package? Why did you not tick the latest Movie Maker only when installing?Go to P&F and see if you can repair or uninstall those you don't need.

I am using MS Office 2007. When I save a document to the laptop hard drive, I don't have a problem. If I try to save it to a USB drive using a Save As, I get the error message, "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working". Then the program shuts down. I have tried using the diagnostics that is packaged with Office but it comes back without any errors. I am up to date with Office updates. Other laptops running the same program don't have any issues. Are there any recommendations for me to try?

Answer:MS Office Word has stopped working - USB drive

Is the USB drive under a different format?  Simply put, does the OS look for NTFS and find EX4 or something of that nature?  Remember, MAC, Linux, and Windows all use different formats. In fact Linux uses more than one in itself.

Good Morning,
This problem just started out of the blue. I don't remember doing anything new, but then I can't swear to it.
Operating System: Vista Home Premium
Office Home and Student 2007

I can work in Office, but when I exit I get the follow message.
"Microsoft Office Word has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is found."
I repaired Office, then made sure I had the latest updates, but still had the same problem.
I searched on the error message and found this post

1. Open up Regedit. (Go to Start and type "regedit" in the search field and press enter.)

2. In Regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

3. Right mouse click on the "Data" folder and delete it.

4. Open up Word, close it, and voila, problem solved.

I followed the steps above, but it didn't solve my problem. On another site I read that having the default printer set to the Microsoft XPS Printer caused this problem. Strange? But I thought what the heck give it a try. I found out the only time I have this problem when my default printer is set to either of my HP printer. I have the latest drivers and suggustions?
Thanks
Nancy

On the driver's page for your printer at HP's support site, check for any patches that might be available

Its the home premium version which was pre installed when bought last november.
All been fine until now.

I have not added any new software and have tried to reinstall factory settings but no luck. error message reads:

Cannot be opened. try again or repair in control panel.

Anyone got any ideas please?

Answer:MS Office has stopped working on Satellite C660

Hi

Maybe the trial version of MS Office is not valid anymore.
As far as I know if Windows 7 is available for this model then MS Works and MS Office Trial or ready are preinstalled.

What version do you have? Trial version or full version?
I assume you don?t have any MS Office disks. Right?

Well, in such case either you will try to set the OS to the early time point before the MS Office has worked or you will try to recover the notebook using HDD recovery or Recovery disk.

Hi all,

Got a question if you please..

We recently installed an SSL cert as we were getting annoyed with the self cert ones.

Since we've installed this SSL cert our out of office isn't working. You can enable it either in outlook or OWA and set the message to both internal and external, but its just not actually being sent internal or externally.

It was working fine before the ssl was installed, but not afterwards. Any idea on where I need to look for this?

Thanks
Matt

Answer:Out of Office stopped working since SSL cert installed

Sorry - I also want to add that all the pc's are for some reason set to use outlook anywhere (even though half of them are internal users only.. Not sure why or how that was setup?!)

Test exchange connectivity site came up with:

Testing SSL mutual authentication with the RPC proxy server.
Verification of mutual authentication failed.
Tell me more about this issue and how to resolve it
Additional Details

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/445d87c5-422f-4249-821b-0c805a058ff4.aspx
That site above tells you what it should match, our SSL cert says mail.domain.com and on the http over rpc it also shows as being "msstd:mail.domain.com"

Thanks
Matt

I am hoping someone can help me as I have not been successful at fixing the problem I am having with Roxio. I have a Windows Vista 32 bit operating system. Roxio came pre-installed, the full version. right click stopped working and I have office 2000

Answer:right click stopped working and I have office 2000 & outlook

If it only happens when using Word, try this registry edit:hold down the windows key+R. This opens the 'Run' box. Type: 'Regedit' (without the apostrophes) then hit ok. This opens the Registry Editor. In the registry editor, navigate to the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Office / 12.0 / WordThen find the sub-key called 'Data'. Right click on that key, choose Rename and add a number to it i.e. 'Data1', then click off it so that the new name is saved. Try opening Word again and test the rightclick.

Hi,
I have encountered devastating problems with my laptop, an Asus Zenbook, Windows 7 Home Premium. Windows Explorer has stopped working and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 has stopped working too when I tried to open them.

I tried to fix it by updating Windows, but I failed to install Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3040272) and got error code 80073712, Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3072630) Error details: Code 80070490.

I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scan, and caught some malware removed, but it does not help getting rid of the problems.

I tried to run sfc/ scannow, but Windows Explorer has stopped working when I tried to elevate command prompt as administrator.

Can anyone help me out of the problems?

Thanks!
Ben

This is the weirdest thing. Last night my wireless adapter (Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG) stopped working at home - I can view all the networks and try to connect but it just won't complete the connections to any of the networks I could use in the past (my own password protected network or the open ones).  Oddly enough, it does work in my office, connecting to our company, password protected wireless network. I've tried uninstalling the drivers as well as access connections and installing the latest drivers - but to no avail. Please help!  moderator note: type added to subject line. A week ago I installed Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 upgrade on top of Windows 2000, with no problems at all until now.

When I now open up Outlook 2007 after about 30 seconds I get an error message:-
Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working, windows is collecting more information about this problem.

I then asked if I want to send more information about the problem to Microsoft.

The next message:- A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Outlook closes and goes back to desktop.

I have looked on the Microsoft Office for updates or patches but there is nothing.

I am very concerned I cannot open this program as I have hundreds of contacts, email accounts and valuable data there.

If I uninstalled Office 2007 and re-install it again, will all my data still be on the computer, or will I loose everything?

Help please

Hi, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (Service Pack 1) and my computer has (relatively) recently stopped automatically updating. I have a constant alert in the status bar telling me this is the case with automatic updates and attempting it manually gives me an error code - 80096001 - immediately after attempting it. This problem may have coincided with me uninstalling AVG some time ago, but I'm not sure when it began for sure.

The reason for the thread title is because I recently attempted to install Microsoft Security Essentials, which also failed to auto-update in its initial setup. Could these issues be linked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft Word always worked fine on my computer until a few days ago when I tried to open it and it said something about a missing shortcut, it says:

Mising Shortcut
Windows is searching for WINWORD.EXE. To locate the file yourself, click Browse

and then after a few seconds a box comes up saying:

Problem With Shortcut
The item "WINWORD.EXE" that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?

I have no idea what's happened, I don't remember changing or moving any shortcut or whatever it's talking about, it was working fine one day and then the next day it wasn't working at all.
I tried to do a System Restore because I thought that might reset the computer to how it was before Word stopped working, but it said there were no restore points so I couldn't do that.
Can someone please try to help?

Hello again,

This thread is in relation to the other thread that I had created not too long ago. Over the course of the weekend, I've experienced some trouble when I had attempted to open my "Device Manager" in Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64. I opened under "System" in Windows 7, but it gives me a window that the MMC console has stopped working.

I've tried accessing through "Administrative Tools" under Control Panel. The problem remains the same. Therefore, I've tried reinstalling the entire operating system - but the problem remains the same. From my own research, the only way on preventing MMC from crashing is - disabling certain services and functions at startup (in this case, the "Themes" services). I've found out from one user (albeit running in a different operating system) who has a similar problem and it's all exhibited from these two links - here and here. I've followed that step and so far - all thing's are relatively stable.

I've also did an SFC (System File Checker) check in Windows 7, but they have failed to fix some of the problems relating to my issue.

To summarize, each time I wanted to access my hardware profile for my desktop system in Windows 7, the computer has kept crashing. I'm hinting that my hard drive is about to go bust any day now.

If you need any more information in regards to my hardware, please let me know. Also, what can I do to prevent MMC from crashing again in the future?

Check for data corruption.Run Disk Check with Automatically fix file system errors checked. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log.
For any drives that do not give the message:

Windows has made corrections to the file system
after running the disk check, run the disk check again.

Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.

I am trying to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 Student Edition and I continue to receive the following error:
Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has stopped Working.
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

Microsoft support informed me to try installing on a clean boot but the issue occurred. They provided me with a new download of Office 2007 and when attempting to install I continue to receive the error. I do not have any other versions of Office installed. This is very frustrating. I believe a lot of this began when I uninstalled "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition" from my Laptop due to not working properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really need to get Office installed so I can complete my college courses.

Thank You
Ian

When trying to open tools such as the firewall, event viewer or any other mmc snap-in i get the program has stopped wirking windows saying 'Microsoft Management Console has stopped working'

I have treid clean booting, restarting, check disk, sfc /scannow in cmd

Soes anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my problem

Answer:Microsoft Management Console has stopped working

Are you using a Universal Theme Patcher? I found out a long time ago, in windows 7, using such a tool for shell themes kills mmc and few other windows services. I don't use these "toys" any more. try sfc/scannow and then reboot.

Answer:Why has my Microsoft Lumia 535 suddenly stopped working?

Apologies for not being able to give you a solid answer about this.
If this were my phone I would use the "Lumia Software Recovery Tool" available here:http://download.fds-ncom.nokia.com/s...lInstaller.exe
If possible install the tool on a Windows desktop PC.
Let the tool update.
Follow the instructions from the tool.
Connect your phone to the PC to recover.
This will completely wipe the phone and you will have to start over as though the phone was new.
Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.

my OS: win 7 Professional 32 bit.
thank!

Answer:Please help me with Microsoft word has stopped working issue

Hello binngokute and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm a little confused why you reinstalled the operating system to try to repair Microsoft Office. In Office 2003 (the version I have at work) you could click on detect and repair in the help menu. Office would then try to find and repair problems such as missing files and registry settings associated with all installed Microsoft Office programs. Does your version of Office have that option?

Automatically repair Office programs - Excel - Office.com

As far as Windows Explorer stopping you might try to run a System File Checker scan. If any problems are noted run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If the SFC scan doesn't help you might consider a Repair Install.

Repair Install

Please post back to let us know if anything helped or if you're still having problems.

Added Info: If you're using a later version of Office you might want to try Start > Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Office Diagnostics to find and repair problems.

my usb optical mouse was working just fine but when i switched on my laptop this morning it wasn't working anymore. the red laser is lit at the bottom of the mouse but the cursor doesn't move.

i checked the device manager and saw 2 alerts under the Human Interface Devices tab. One for HP Quick Launch Buttons and the other is for USB Human Interface Device. I presume the latter is my mouse. When i check on properties for both the alerts it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

All the driver files do seem to be in place or so I think since I haven't done any changes lately. I have already tried uninstalling both error causing devices under the Human Interface Devices tab. But when I reboot, both the devices automatically re-appear and with the yellow exclamation mark error still there. Any ideas on how to resolve this??

I'm on a HP 500 notebook running on XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

When I try to run one of my Microsoft office professional plus 2010 programs I get an error message that reads:Microsoft setup boots-trapper had stopped workingA problem caused the program to stop working corectly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. There is one button on the pop up that says close program. Once I click mentioned button i get another error message that reads:Microsoft office professional plus 2010 cannot verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. the application will now shut down.I also tried to unistall it and I receive the first error message I mentioned. Once I click the button all the windows for un-installation close. I have tried backing up everything and reinstalling windows and I have also done a system restore to a point that I knew no errors were occuring and the problem just carries over. I searched the web as well but all I could find were these really complicated sulutions that I decided not to try for fear of making the problem worse. Any help will be completely appericiated.

Answer:Microsoft Feeds Syncronization Stopped Working

Hey, open the start menu, type "msconfig.exe" in the search bar and press enter to run msconfig...

Go to the startup tab
If you see something concerning microsoft feeds syncronisation then uncheck the box next to it and press ok (this will pop up another box on startup warning you that your startup items were modified by msconfig but you just have to check "dont show me this again"...)

if not then go to the services tab and do the same

I have seen many other people with this issue and this is more of a solution for others than a question...When trying to install/open some programs, this error would pop up, "microsoft (C) Register Server has stopped working."Running as administrator would sometimes allow the program to install/open but with errors, hangs, and incomplete installs. Here are some of the other "fixes":1)sfc /scannow from the command prompt"I did find problems with some files but this did not fix the problem, so good, but not the fix."2)Modifying DEP (Data Execution Prevention)"This is more of a workaround and doesn't completely fix the problem (or work at all)."3)system restore"This is due to being a time before you installed the problem program."4)Memtest"Will not do anything (unless there really are errors, but very unlikely)."5)Renaming Windows folder in ProgramData."This will rebuild the folder but did not fix the problem."6)Re-install Windows again!"Yes, this fixes the issue, unless you use the same programs every time like most people do and install it on the fresh install."The culprit and subsequent fix was AVAST! antivirus (the newest version as of this post). To fix the problem, disable AVAST! (and you might need to restart with it disabled)... until you are finished installing/running the program.I absolutely love AVAST!, have used it for 7+ years and never had this issue in the past. The reason most people see this happening is because antivirus is usually the first thing to go on after... After a recent Microsoft update, the cd/dvd player on my computer has stopped working.  Previously, it worked just fine. When I checked in the device status, it says "This device is working properly."  However, when I put in a dvd, it spins a little and then a pop up box tells me to insert a disc into drive E.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video graphics, etc., but to no avail.  In addition, I tried to update the drivers and that still did not work.  (The cd/dvd drive is listed as hp DVDRW SU 208GB SATA in properties.)  I have also tried to play an audio cd, but that doesn't work either.

Microsoft display adapter BC was working perfectly until a few days ago. It stopped working while I was watching a video. Now when I try to connect, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then the TV goes back to the Microsoft ready to connect screen. My computer screen flashes the message "display driver Intel HD graphics drivers for windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered" I have not installed any new hardware or downloaded anything recently to cause this problem. Any advice?

Answer:Why has microsoft display adapter BC stopped working?

Hi guest,
I think you can try to register to this forum and it will help you track your questions solved more easily. The "display driver stopped responding had has recovered" is a common question. Normally it happens when you playing games, and view videos. Usually is the gpu overload operation or you need to update your graphic drivers.
You can try to solve this problem follow these steps:
1. Update the graphic drivers. (normally, when you do this step, it will solve your problem.)
2. End program by Task Manager, especially for game program and video program.
3. Increase the TDR data.
4. Update system package.
5. Reset GPU frequency.
6. Update Motherboard/Bios drivers.
7. Cooling computer.
8. Change graphic card.
And you can follow this article: How to fix display drivers stopped responding and has recovered to do it step by step.

I have had Outlook 2007 installed for a while now and had no problem with it. Yesterday it stopped working and I cannot get it restarted. I get a message saying the file C:\Users\SteveBurns\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.pst cannot be opened.
I have been into the mail app file and tried repair and that came up saying it was working, but nothing is working.
I had this as part of Microsoft office package 2007.
Can someone help? I get all my mail sent through to this address.

Answer:Microsoft Outlook 2007 stopped working

The pst file is probably corrupted. Use scanpst see MS Support.

Preview Build 14279

Mail stopped working suddenly. When launching now it immediately disappears. It's too bad as I liked the program. Anyway to trouble shoot this??

TIA

Answer:Microsoft Mail stopped working suddenly

Run a system file check to look for corrupt files.

Right click at Start button > click Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this.......
sfc /scannow

> press Enter.
It will take quite sometime.
When finished, it will give you one of the 3 reports...............(paraphrasing)
1. No integrity violation.
2. Found corrupt files and repair successful.
3. Found corrupt files but unable to repair.

If the report is #1, your solution lies elsewhere.
If the report is #2, check if your problems have been resolved.
If the report is #3, use this method................
In the same Command Prompt (Admin) windows, copy and paste this command...........

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

> press Enter.
Again it will take some time.
When finished, it will give you a report.
