Question: please identify this file: IRUN4.exe

IRUN4.exe in the windows\system32\ directory

Relevance 100%
Preferred Solution: please identify this file: IRUN4.exe

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Question: Identify file

There is a small app file in systemn32 called ibplzuf.exe--does anyone know the function of this file?

Answer:Identify file

It's not a Windows file. Try right-clicking it to see if you can find out what company or app it came from.

I have found a file called runexehelper.exe in my Windows\System32 folder. It's creation date is similar to the rest of the Windows files for my current build (16199), but unlike all the other Windows files, it does not contain any Details information in Properties->Details tab. So it does not suggest it was created by Microsoft.

Does anyone else have this file? I've run various scans from anti-virus and anti-malware against it, and nothing flags it.

The reason I discovered this was that I enabled process auditing, and noticed this app was running quite frequently. A google search doesn't come up with anything relevant. So just want to check if, in fact, this is a MS shipped file, or if something else installed it.

Hi, My name is Katy and I have a question, maybe 2 !

If you look at this screenshot, there is a file that I pointed at and was wondering if anyone knew what it was and if I needed it..
And...do I need any of these things? Just seems like so much on my start-up, but I don't know.. I'm no good at this!

2nd.. By any chance, does anyone know why my PC all of a sudden decided not to turn off when I tell it to? lol Seems wiered but it's true! I press start like always then press shut down, and now it just won't shut down. I tried to reboot..same thing! I have to manually press the big button on my tower (Can't be very healthy) every time I need to shut my pc off!

Thanks in advance,

Kaytea!

Answer:Please help identify this file in my Start-Up (ScreenShot)

Hello Katy and welcome to Sevenforums!

First of all, do you use an updated antivirus? If so, which? Have you used it to 'full scan' for any viruses?

secondly, in system configuration (from your screenshot), go to the general tab and select "normal start-up". Unless you know more about computers, I would recommend not altering any of those settings, but that is for you to determine at what level your skill is at.

next, you can go to the start menu and click 'all programs', and look for the startup folder. Once inside, you can freely delete all that you don't want starting with your computer. I would recommend leaving the wireless (if you have it) in there to startup with the computer for a faster connection.

also, run this tool to see if there are any errors that it might be able to fix: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

lastly, if you want to 'optimize' your coputer, without using any 'fix it' utilities (They aren't a very good idea for windows 7), click on the optimize windows link below in my signature. That will show you many safe ways you can use to make windows 7 run more smoothly and according to your taste

How do I identify the legitimate svchost.exe file? What is it's proper location? Who is the publisher?

The bleepingcomputer startup database had no listing for the legitimate svchost.exe file - only illegitimate ones. And in some of those trojan/worm descriptions, it mentioned that there is a real svchost.exe file, but no further info.

As suggested by bleepingcomputer, I downloaded Autoruns. However, before i proceed in removing these files, it says to identify the legitimate svchost.exe file first.

I'm using Windows XP Home. My computer is starting slow. It take over 5 minutes for my Internet to come on, so I'm working on my startup items bit by bit.

Answer:How do I identify the legitimate svchost.exe file?

The Svchost.exe file is located in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314056

Hey, everyone. Recently, I've gotten into music production with FL Studio, and I just exported a song. For some reason, the exported file can't be run by any program, and my computer is really slow. I'm 90% sure it's this file that's slowing my computer.

My CPU load is constantly at 100%, with half going to explorer.exe and the other half to dllhost. When I try to delete the file, it says "Preparing to recycle", then where it should show the location of the file, it just says "from", with nothing following it. I'll link a picture for a better idea.

Hitting cancel doesn't close the window, it just says "Canceling..." Properties doesn't open on the file, either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try stopping it via task manager, it should also show its description, then delete it via program files.

Answer:Need To Identify And Remove Core.cache.dsk File

Yes but it is a specialized tool we use in the HijackThis forums under supervision and guidance. Please read and follow all instructions in the pinned topic titled "Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log". You may have performed some of these steps already. If you can't perform a step, then skip and continue with the next. In step #9 there are instructions for downloading HijackThis and creating a log. (This is a self-extracting version which will automatically install the current version of HJT in the proper location.) If using Windows Vista, be sure to Run As Administrator. When you have done that, post your log in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum, NOT here, for assistance by the HJT Team Experts. A member of the Team will walk you through, step by step, on how to clean your computer. If you post your log back in this thread, the response from the HJT Team will be delayed because your post will have to be moved. This means it will fall in line behind any others posted that same day. Start a new topic, give it a relevant title and post your log along with a brief description of your problem, a summary of any anti-malware tools you have used and a summary of any steps that you have performed on your own. Please include the top portion of the HijackThis log that lists version information. An expert will analyze your log and reply with instructions advising you what to fix. After doing this, we would appreciate if you post a link to your log back ... Read more

Hi,
I'm keeping video files on my win7 pc. I'm using Universal Media Server to transmit these videos to a TV set.
The way an SRT file is accepted by my DNLA puzzles me.
I have a whole set of SRT files, holding Hebrew subtitles, which were saved by MS Writer as unicode text documents, all accepted perfectly by the server and shown in clear legible Hebrew letters. One SRT file, however, shows up completely illegible.
How do I find out what's wrong with problematic file?

One of the files on one of our shares disappeared, the thing is this file was tnsnames.ora meaning none of our users could initiate a new connection to any of our databases.

the permissions on this area are:
users = read
'uk admins' = full
system = full

there are 4 of us in the uk admins group (including myself) and none of us moved / deleted this file, i had it back in minutes but thats not the problem, its how the file disappeared!

has anyone see any strange issues like this before? its got to be one of the heaviest accessed files on our network as when ever a pc wants to access an oracle database it looks it up from the file (its a bit like DNS for databases).

is there any logs or anyway to see if someone deleted it or if anything happened to it in order for it to vanish?

server is running Server 2003 Standard SP1, is a DC and GC.
runs DNS, DHCP, WINS, file and print sharing.
AV is symantec AV 10 corp, nothing in quarantine or log to do with this.

system runs on a raid 5 array with no errors from the array so i doubt its something at the disc level.

TIA
Dan

Answer:Server 2003 - Identify user that deleted a file from share?

You know, I've deleted files on accident before... it happens. Someone in your admins group had to do it, as even with full share permissions, read would restrict your users to only being able to read the file.

Of course, someone could have executed the delete command as system... but it's really more likely that someone deleted it on accident.

Without auditing enabled, there really isn't a way to find out who deleted the files. It's times like this when I miss the old Novell servers where you could fire up a utility and undelete a file and identify the user that deleted it.

I was looking for files containing suspected unauthorized downloads/installations in this morning's Temp Folder and came across this very strange, suspicious looking set of messages from Microsoft Windows'
Defender Program, entitled "MpCmdRun" The terms "Spynet Service" and "RestrictPrivileges"- had me very concerned, worried about what might be going on with my computer.

There is no question that I've found myself severely limited, restricted in what I've been able to faciliate, enable through the use of the command prompt as Administrator but have have not been able to determine
what, why I've been severely restricted in this way. After finding this message just moments ago, it seemed to offer insight, explanation into why I've been unable to activate the Administrator privileges I've been aware of.

I would very much appreciate having the experts here at Bleeping Computer enlighten me as to what the messages of "MpCmdRun" regarding Windows' Defender,"Spynet Service" and "RestrictPrivileges"
are all about. I want to express my appreciatiojn and gratitude regarding any information you may be able to provide in this regard.

Sincerely,

I know very little about computers and need someone's expertise on this:

I recently discovered some photos on my Mac that taken and uploaded originally onto a PC. The photos all contain file names of a combination of approx 20 numbers/letters. When I open the file from my "recently viewed" folder the files all say locked. There is no .jpg or .jpeg. When I sort pictures by date, the date that comes up is obviously a date much after the original photo date.

I cannot locate the files ANYWHERE in my computer except whatever is in my recently viewed folder. Thanks for any help!

Answer:Help! Identify a "locked" unknown file type

Sounds like those are temps files that are used to create or move the original file. More than likely they are garbage and cannot be viewed as they are not a "real" file

This is what I got from a DOS mode virus scanner; but, these names seem to be randomly-generated and I find nothing at Google about them.

Can Anyone give me a hint as to what backdoor program there was (or is) that might have done this?

Scanning C:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BKIBFEFO.KIB is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ANEAKKCP.NEA is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\FBHIGKAF.BHI is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KILMDFAC.ILM is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\FEFOBKIB.EFO is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KKCPANEA.KCP is a security risk or a "backdoor" program - File deleted.

Answer:Randomly-generated virus file names--Identify Virus?

More clues please

Post the scan log from HijackThis
Unzip somewhere to keep and run hijackthis.exe - press Scan - the Scan button changes to a Save Log button
Save, and then copy and paste the entire log here.

I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but I wasn't sure. I apologize in advance if it is.

I've noticed a file on my computer and I'm not sure what its from or what it is:

C:\w t f.txt

I have deleted it numerous times but it comes back. It appears that another program is generating it.

As of right now the contents of the file is:

282 < 0 + 10
hostBottom: 282 hostTop: 29 hostLeft: -222 hostRight: 355
282 < 0 + 10
hostBottom: 282 hostTop: 29 hostLeft: -222 hostRight: 355

I have googled the file but the only thing I come up with are links for txt messaging. I'm hoping someone else knows...

Thanks!

Answer:[SOLVED] Can't Identify file "w t f.txt"

Grab Process Explorer and open it. Press Ctrl+F and type the name of the file. Hopefully it will pull up a process or two that has a handle on the file. Those are responsible for creating it.

If nothing does show up, then grab Process Monitor and open it. Since it starts logging as soon as it opens, stop it by clicking the magnifying glass (Capture) button. Then click the eraser (Clear Entries) near it to get a clean slate. Now when you are ready, start capturing again, and as soon as it starts logging, delete the file and let it revive. When it revives, stop capture, save the log, zip it up, and send it over. Hopefully it won't be too big already to send to us. The log can get pretty heavy real quick so time is of the essence.

I have a bunch of OS backups using ghost and I can use ghost explorer to view the image files. Unfortunately I didn't make details on what OS version was installed at the time, just dates the images were taken.

How can I find if these images were from Vista or Windows 7 by just looking at the contents of the image, without actually restoring the image?

Answer:How to identify Windows version by file version?

did you install IE8 on your Vista install?
otherwise it comes default with IE7, and Win7 comes with IE8.

so you could use the file version of iexplore.exe, if you left IE7 on the Vista install.

possibly bootmgr file might be different file versions.

Question: Identify this T61

Hi there, I'm trying to find the full specification for a thinkpad I have my eye on, however the model number seems to be unknown by most (including Lenovo). It's 7661-WDU.Very little comes up in a search but there are some results, and most link it to 7661 series T61's. I'm thinking it's either a typo and should be 7661-WD8, or it's just a really rare/quickly discontinued model. Does anyone have another idea?

Answer:Identify this T61

Hi,

A friend of mine has asked me to upgrade the RAM on his PC whilst he is on holiday. However, I cannot work out what type of RAM it is. I dont know what model of motherboard he's got, all I have is the details from the sticker on the memory module. It reads:

DDR400(3) 512MX1B

Is this simply DDR-400? I thought that was a relatively new type of RAM? My friends motherboards is at least 2 years old.

If you can correctly identify the type of RAM I need to get, I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Fish

Answer:Can you identify this RAM?

Actually that isn't that new anymore as it's PC3200 184 Pin DDR400 RAM and the newer has a PC2 designation and is 240 Pin.

My computer is older (1 ghz Pentium 3) so I had to add a USB 2.0 PCI card in order to use USB 2.0.

There is an external WD hard drive attached that is fairly new, but it is extremely slow (3 MB/sec vs 35-40 MB/sec for internal drives) and I am wondering if there is a conflict between the USB 1.1 on the motherboard and the USB 2.0 card.

I thought I might disable the USB 1.1 through the device manager to see if that would help but it shows so many USB devices that I do not know which ones to disable. Is there a better way to do this or some way to tell which is which in the device manager?

Thanks

Answer:How to identify USB 1.1 & USB 2.0

I've installed a number of USB 2.0 cards, and I've never had them get confused by the on-board USB 1.1 hardware. The easy way to deal with the on-board stuff if you want to disable it is to do it in the BIOS configuration.

For starters, I'd try this:

Unplug ALL USB devices.
Open Device Manager.
View, Show Hidden Devices.
Uninstall all devices under USB Controllers.
Uninstall all devices under Storage Volumes. Say no to any reboot prompts until you are finished. Also, if a Storage Volume doesn't uninstall, ignore it and move to the next one.
If you have a yellow ? with unknown devices, uninstall all of the entries there as well.

When this is done, reboot TWICE.

Reconnect the USB devices and see if they're recognized properly.

I noticed this morning a small file had appeared on my main drive. I have took a snip and attached it this message. I know its small and when I go to delete it, it requires an administrator to do this. The file isn't hidden anywhere. All I did was click on computer - C Drive and it was sitting beneath the folders. Now I could easily click yes on the permissions box to delete but I don't want to just yet incase it's of some importance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Can anyone Identify This?

This happens rather often. Look at the attached snip of my "My Documents". Every single entry in the list was automatically created by some program or other. Most of them put their own names to the folders, some put the alphanumeric string similar to what you've got.

This string is the identifier code used in the registry. Basically you can go to the registry, find that string and this way figure out which program put that files there. To do this, open the registry (run regedit) and go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT -> CLSID and find that string. If it's not there, you can search for it by pressing Ctrl-F and typing first few characters.

In any case, these files are rarely important. To test that you can simply create a restore point, rename the file (add old to the end of the filename or something), and restart. If everything is functioning normally for a while, then you're safe to delete it. Just try to use several programs before you do so, just to make sure that nothing got broken.

64 Bit Xp is faster
But Xp 64 Bit has had many issues (drivers and applications not working or even available)
Therefore Xp 32Bit is preferred

But Vista 64 Bit is preferred over 32 bit (that's because it was made with all the new drivers so forth

Hi, and thanks for helping, as things have gotten MUCH worse as I went through the preparation. I will explain that in a moment.First, the problem I was having that brought me to your site originally was that i was getting constantly redirected to unrelated sites, in both FF and IE. Also, Firefox was crashing more frequently. My computer was running fine in other respects, except for the fact that the desktop won't "hold" a screensaver, which is a much longer standing issue. I only mention that in case it gives you a clue what might have been going on. The speed of my computer was fine. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, with home XP, SP3 on it. I have Norton antivirus (2010) and Malwarebytes and CCleaner, all of which i ran but none of which found anything. I also changed the factory default password on my router - no improvement. That's when I found your site. I am kind of computer illiterate, so i started going through the preparation steps kind of clumsily. Then this happened: as the GMER program was "extracting" it gave me an error message. I cancelled it, assumed it was because I was running other stuff, closed everything else, and re-ran GMER. Now, the entire computer is crashing constantly. I had to force-restart three times just to be able to post this. I would start it, and as soon as I would go to firefox bookmarks (to get back here) it would freeze. Not just firefox. I wouldn't be able to use ctrl-alt-delete, the "t... Read more

First, if I have posted in the wrong section, my humblest apologies.

I regularly use Hijack This and, touch wood, have had no problems. I read quite a lot of these postings and the help given here has been invaluable.

What I would like to know is what are these two I find in my Hijack This log, please?
O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: WgaLogon - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WgaLogon.dll

As I said, I am sorry if you would prefer me to post elsewhere. I thank you in advance for any information you can give me.

Answer:Identify These Two, Please?

Hey Reena,Both of the entries you listed legitimate, and it is absoutely fine that they are in your Hijackthis log. Here is some information about WgaLogon:http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...brary/wgalogon/It is related to "Windows Genuine Advantage", which basically means that it makes sure that the version of Windows you are running is legitimate; Microsoft have recently been quite heavily targeting pirated versions of their Operating Systems, not providing updates or software for them etc. This used to be vountary (checking if your OS was 'genuine') but it has recently been made mandatory. So, this entry is perfectly safe to have in your HijackThis log.The msgrapp.dll entry is a part of MSN Messenger, which we can tell from the "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1", which is a shortened form of C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger. Here is some information on this entry, although it isn't particularly in-depth:http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...ibrary/msgrapp/The fact that this file is listed as "missing" is actually wrong; this is one of only a few files that is incorrectly listed by HijackThis. This is explained at CastleCops here, which, since you say you often research the entries in your HijackThis log, is an excellent place to look. It is one of the lists of entries that helpers swear by due to their huge databases, and it is an excellent resource for you to use too.So, there is nothing to worry about with these two en... What kind of Ram is this? It was in an older computer, but I just want to know what kind it is.

Answer:Identify ram

If you download a utility call MemSet. here>
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/MemSet.shtml

It will tell you all you want to know about the RAM (if you have it installed)
If you don't then a Google search of the part number listed on the very small sticker at the left end of the RAM stick in your first pic will likely throw up a result.
If it does not then post the info on that sticker (or attach a clearer photo) and we'll get to work on it.

i cant make sense of either of these pop ups and i am not dure on the correct course of action

they are unrelated i think but i didnt think it was neccesary to make 2 threads

the sonicstage pop up usually appears every time i shut the programme down

the comodo pop up appears upon start up but i cant figure out which programme is trying yo use the internet so i keep denying connection

Answer:can anyone identify these pop ups i get

The comodo warning is saying that the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool is trying to contact Microsoft with information about your Operating system. It won't hurt your system's performance to deny. Many people go as far as to REMOVE this tool (from XP systems at least - not sure if it works as well for Vista as WGA is supposed to be cooked in?)

The SonicStage error is PROBABLY a DLL issue. The easiest thing to try to resolve that would be to reinstall. However, I'm getting the feeling this is an OEM system and you don't have the installation files? Is that true?

Anyone know what this is and should I delete it?

Answer:Can you identify this?

It's probably a false postive and Asquared is detecting it by name alone or teh double suffix log.txt but to check

right click teh file & select open with & selcet notepad

if it is readable and a list of dates and files it's the genuine setup log

the genuine log should look like the on on this page

Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Any errors are indicative of a memory problem.

If a known good stick fails in a motherboard slot it is probably the slot.

Hello,
My computer has been booting up and operating very slowly and when I try and run my Norton antivirus, or Ad-Aware to check for viruses or spyware, the computer just freezes about 5 minutes into the scan everytime and I can't even ctrl-alt-delete at that point.

Looking at my task manager, I have about 40 processes going on in the background and want to determine what should be running and what shouldn't be, and then control what programs I want to start up when I boot.

Is there any software out there I can run that will tell me exactly what each .exe does or identify which ones are harmful, without me having to research each one - one at a time? I know I have too many processes going on and I want to get rid of as many as possible.

thanks!

I can usually find what I need through google or searching this forum, but this has me stumped. I know I'm not supposed to post inline logs and all, but I only need one thing identified. Hopefully yall won't get on my case too much.

Code:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ExploreUpdSched] C:\WINDOWS\system32\swinspex.exe GID002
When searching google for "exploreupdsched" I found alot of other forums with alot of hjt logs that had similar lines, but the executable file usually had a different name. So my question is, does anyone know what this is?

Edit: Never mind I found another line that called the same executable for something called think-adz.

Answer:Please Help Identify this

There is no information when a search is conducted onteh file name. Which, usually means it is something that should be removed.

I am currently using Firefox4.0. I do have flash player (Adobe) installed. I was just checking out some treadmills+clicked on a link to see a certain type in motion/operate. That infamous notice at the top of my screen said I had to install a missing plug in to view the link.

For security purposes, How do I know a requested plug in is safe? I have no idea what plug in is being asked for nor why.
Thank you
honu1

Answer:How do I identify plug ins?

Hi honu1,
I don't think we can tell. For motion it's usually the Adobe flash nightmare. And Adobe has the plugin for installing so long as you click on "other operating system" or "other browser" (than IE)

Yet, I might install the legitimate adobe flash-trash from the legitimate Adobe site and still get the error on some sites. Other times it works.
I'd never click on 'download Adobe flash' button on any website that tells me to. Just don't trust them.

If it doesn't work, the site is bad or how the site implements the use of flash code is bad. I usually give up, try another site that works. Lost sales to badly designed sites

A browser I use, Opera, and Avira's antivirus will warn if I click on a site or a link I shouldn't, still it is a bit of concern here considering how fast the scumware writers defeat all security.

Perhaps someone here will tell us exactly how to deal with motion and flash and what's safe, as what I just wrote are my obesrvations and a bit of frustration.

Hi all, This is my first post on this site and I am hoping someone in the know in the Lenovo community can help me. I recently purchased a Lenovo K4450. Specs are 4500u i7, nVidia 730m, 500gb HDD, 4gb 1600mhz RAM, 16GB M.2 SSD. The full shabang. A very smart looking, and powerful machine. However, I have since been able to establish the model number is "Zhaoyang K4450" clearly of Chinese origin. It's detected in the bios under security. But not device manager, and when installing a different driver it says it cannot find the device (mind you this was a random "K4450 Driver"). When trying the FN +F4 hotkey, it loads the communication centre but no Webcam is mentioned. Any suggestions would be warmly appreciated. Answer:Help to identify my Thinkpad please

Hello and welcome to the forums!

First of all, your machine is supported through the ThinkVantage System Update utility, try giving that a spin first, see if it doesn't pick up the drivers you need.

THINKVANTAGE SYSTEM UPDATE

Second, you could try installing the Windows 8.1 driver manually.

Get the driver through the link below, run the package and deselect the checkmark when it asks you if you want to install the Integrated Camera Driver. Then open up Device Manager, finding the camera on the list, which I assume will appear as Unknown Device - Right Click - Choose Update Driver Software - and pointing it to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\Camera.

INTEGRATED CAMERA DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 8.1 (64-BIT)

I wonder would someone be able to identify the bottleneck associated with the following issue.

It relates only to Battlefield 3 and has persisted into a GTX 970 upgrade on an FX 8350 with 8GB RAM.

It only occurs when a large environment is being refreshed onscreen and can be observed by the player. Such as when parachuting from high altitude, If when parachuting I pan the screen with the mouse/look then there is no issue, but if I attempt to turn the player body with left and right movement the image on screen stutters terribly. It's not a ping/lag issue. Is repeatable always, and occurs even while Frame rates are 60+, but has the appearance of very low frame rates. Maybe it's just an issue with the game, has anyone else experienced this?

It also occurs when operating the motor cycle, making it very disorienting and almost impossible to control. Oddly enough it doesn't effect me when flying Jets/helicopters, and I don't think other land vehicles are moving fast enough to cause it to occur either, I think because the environment isn't needing to refresh as fast.

PS, Vram is not being maxed out

Answer:Identify the Bottleneck

If it only relates to Battlefield 3 and you don't see the problem with any other games, then the most likely answer is that the problem is the game.

I haven't played BF3 for quite a while but don't recall seeing that on my system, then again I don't run it on max settings either

While this title insinuates that I only have one problem, I actually have two. Driver Verifier has found a faulty driver and I want you to help me find it.
The other problem is,"0x0000001e". It happens only when I fullscreen any flash video, it either freezes or BSoD's on me. This is the bad part, I cannot get a dump, because the blue screen itself freezes. What should I do with that part?

Edit: I might think that the driver verifier and the fullscreen part is connected, but one thing It ain't, that's my hardware. I have tested the fullscreen problem in safe mode, so I am helpless as it is.

Answer:Identify the driver for me!

I suspect your Logitech Gamepanel drivers are the cause. I suggest installing an updated copy of the drivers, or removing it altogether.

This is not a hoax.I have found an enclosure which I cannot open. I know that sounds strange but there appear to be no screws or other means of fastening and very little identification.Along the front there are 2 firewire and 1 USB sockets followed by power supply and on/off switch.Below these are:CE F(c) 5621 (written in red over something like a yin yang symbol then pin diagram under power socket then power symbol. There are rubber like legs underneath and I wondered whether fittings might be under them but they don't pull easily and I don't want to be too tough on them unless someone can tell me there are such enclosures.Failing that has anyone got a seemingly unopenable enclosure? I have tried pushing, pulling, sliding etc to no avail. I have tried many Google combinations. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi folks.
Aldi (if you don't know, it's a budget supermarket which runs some great special offers) is selling some computer hardware this Thursday. (Only in the UK as far as I'm aware)

I'm trying to identify the external hard drive they are selling so I can get some reviews before I run out and buy one.

Also, if anyone has expereince of this drive, or can suggest a good alternative for a similar price please feel free to add them to the thread too.

Cheers.

Answer:Help identify this drive...

Hi

The brand that they are selling if the pic is accurate is a Medion, which is pretty popular line for them to sell normally, not had experience of their External drives, but likely the hardware HDD itself will come from a well known brand as not many makers of HDDs.

But how about this Western Digital 1TB External @ 74.99 from PCWorld? Well known brand and a brand I personally like alot.

Only thing is the Medion is from the spec eSata, so do you have an external eSATA port on your PC? as dont know if it comes with adapter for USB2.0 or not *most do but cannot honestly say this does or not, you'd need to check the box or call Aldi up as they must have the stock in now* , whereas the Western Digital one is USB2.0 connection only.
