Multiple Email Address' or a single address

Question: Multiple Email Address' or a single address

I currently maintain 15 websites, for various different DIY products. Each website has its own email address. We have some one who deals with all email enquiries. We are noticing large amounts of spam. It has been suggested that we use a single email address for all 15 websites.

Other than its going to be a nightmare editing all of the websites to 1 email address, what other pros and cons are there for this idea.

Preferred Solution: Multiple Email Address' or a single address

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Multiple Email Address' or a single address

not sure how this will reduce the spam necessarily.

a good spam filter may help.
o you know which email is giving you the most spam

I have about 5 websites and emails and get spam in most of them, infact one email I use most of the time for webuse and that gets most of the spam

Hi there,I provide IT Support in Australia and have an unusual problem that someone may be able to help me with. A client is unable to send an E-Mail to another user in the Office on the same domain. They are both able to send and recieve E-Mail from anyone else, and have no problem with others on the same domain. When E-Mail is sent it is in the Sent items in Outlook, but does not arrive at the receiver. When checking Webmail the sent E-Mail is not on the Server either. It is POP E-Mail, receiver settings have been deleted and reconfigured. Have turned off Junk Mail. Have configured the Sender on my own PC using a different ISP and still the E-Mail appears to send and goes to sent items, but never arrives at the Receiver. I can send from my PC to this user no problem using my own E-Mail address. Weird...Thanks for any hints you may have as Hosting company says they can't help. It is not the ISP as I have configured it on my office PC using a different ISP. Could it have something to do with a SPAM listing? If so how would it affect only one E-Mail Address? Can send from the Sender to Receiver ok when using Webmail however. Everyone is on Windows 7 ProfessionalTerry

I am using Outlook 2013 for Mac (not my choice, work computer). I email someone who uses their personal email address in addition to their work email. Most of their emails come from their personal account but I like to send everything to their work address.

I don't think what I want to do is possible, but can you somehow prevent Outlook from storing in the autocomplete file a single email address? I know how to delete it from the file but every new email from this person (every few minutes) comes in with their personal address and is back in the list again. I could only find info for how to turn off the autocomplete entirely.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. I am mystified. How can ONE single email address just disappear from my contacts list overnight? Am on dialup. Regularly scan for trojans. Am involved in big cyberpath problem. Any ideas? I'm really spooked...

Answer:Solved: One single email address disappears from OE overnight

Have you got any problem just putting it back into your
address book now?

Most likely just did not register for some reason.
Are you scanning emails for viruses? If so, that would
be one possible reason for something like that. Don't
scan emails - it can cause problems and is not doing
you one bit of good.

Hi there! First post. My question to all you tech-ies out there.
I am currently running 10 computers attached via wired network to a server running xp pro at my business. From home, I have set up remote desktop so that I can log in to my server and operate the software I need to from home, using the server as another workstation.
I am looking at uprgrading a few other computers to XP pro, (yeah) or sadly Vista Business (boo) which will allow connections to those computers too. I know about port forwarding, because I had to with the server that is connecting to the Web by a D-Link router. I want to make my salesmens computers which will have remoted desktop host enabled on them to be available from their offsite computers. I've searched the web, and found a few diff. ideas on this, but would like your opinions on this one that I found. My questions is, can the connections from offsite be performed concurrently.
"Well, you could make it a whole lot easier on yourself and just setup port forwarding on your work router like this:
external port -> internal IP -> local port
3889 -> -> 3889
4889 -> -> 3889
5889 -> -> 3889
In this case, you now have one pass-thru and two redirected ports. This means you don't need to modify anything on each host, only the network configuration changes. Note you can reach each rdp session remotely using your public IP address and one of the external ports. Say your public ... Read more

I have been unable to insert an address from my Yahoo email address book for some time now and I have decided to ask for help.

All I am doing is opening Yahoo mail and trying to compose a new email to send to someone who is already in my contacts. When I click "to:" or "insert address" my address book shows up. But when I place a check mark and try to "insert checked contacts" I go to this address on a blank page:

I see that this has been asked before but no one had replied and I can't find the answer doing a search.

Can anyone help?

I have Vista Home Premium 32 using Firefox. The version is the latest version of Firefox but this has happened in many previous versions of Firefox. (I was lazy [or in a hurry] and just typed in the address of the entity to which I was communicating as a work around.)

Answer:Solved: Yahoo email unable to insert address from address book

Concerning my post above: I turned on my older XP computer and I had no problem with inserting an address from the Yahoo! address book.

I compared all my settings in both computers and noticed that I had different settings relating to how pop-ups are handled. XP reminded me that the address book takes the form of a pop-up. On my Vista I had pop-ups opening up (?) in a webpage. That is the page which came up blank. After I have corrected the settings, I no longer have a problem.

I am using Outlook 2003 and run Windows XP.

When I create a new message I begin typing the name of the recipient and I would like it to match up with an address I have in my Outlook contact list. However, it does not read from there. It only seems to look at addresses that I have already sent to in the past. How can I get it to read from the address book? If I click on "TO" or "CC" it brings up another window with a list of addresses from my contact list. From there I can have it pull from the list. I would like to be able to do it withot the extra step.

That is how autocomplete works, from used addresses stored in the NK2 file.

A friend of mine recently started getting a lot of emails from people on her contact list saying that they look like spam. They asked her if she sent these emails and of course, she didn't. She has changed her password but the problem persists. She has run a number of different scans and that hasn't solved the problem either. Is there anything that can be done?

Answer:A friend's email address is on multiple emails to contacts

If her contact list has been hacked, it can't be undone.  If they have the contact list, changing the password will not change anything.  Sounds like she needs to lock down her phone better.  She needs to be more careful, and check all her privacy settings.  Have her create a new email and let her contacts know.  People don't realize that they are granting the world access to their personal information with these phones.  Google+, Facebook, instagram, Pinterest, etc.... they all access ALL your personal info by default, and makes it simple for others to gain access.

Afternoon All (Well it's afternoon to me anyway)

I've been doing some googling and just can't find the answer that im looking for. Basically my problem is this:

I have multiple email domains (eg,, but only one internet connection. What I am wanting to do is have two email servers inside my network, one handing each email domain.

This becomes a problem since the router I have only deals with ports, rather then email headers which is where i think my answer is.

I think I will need to be doing email routing based on the destination address in the email header.

What I am looking for is some firewall / router that will allow me to deliver incoming emails to different servers based on the To: address.

Any ideas? Or am I just imaging this capability exists?

Answer:Multiple email domains - Single Internet Connection - Multiple Email Servers

You have all the mail come in to mail server 1. Configure it to relay mail to mail server 2 for the domain hosted on mail server 2.

If you have a separate spam appliance, you can also do it with that device.

I have an excel worksheet with hundreds of addresses in a single column, each address separated by a single row. I need to get the addresses into mail-merge format so each address (which ranges from 5-7 rows in the single column) ends up on a row. I need the country of each address to end up in the same column. I am struggling badly with this! Can anyone help? Currently there are two columns to the left of the address column. Each column represents a book version - English & Spanish and below these headers is a qty of each type each address has to receive. I need to retain the qty per address in the output file!

Answer:Excel address data - single column to rown

re: each address ... ranges from 5 - 7 rows in the single columnThat's the issue that concerns me. If one "address group" looks like:1 - Name2 - Address3 - City4 - State5 - Zipand another looks like1 - Name2 - Address Line 13 - Address Line 24 - City5 - State6 - Zipand yet another looks like:1 - Name Line 12 - Name Line 23 - Address Line 14 - Address Line 25 - City6 - State7 - ZipThen it would be difficult for a macro to simply loop through each address group and rearrange the data. However, if there is something in each address group that the macro could look for, then things get a little easier. Perhaps the code could use the 5 digit zip code to determine that is at the bottom of an address group. Please give us a couple of examples of address groups so we can see how the sheet is laid out. Please include the location of the extraneous data that has to be moved with the address group.

My issue is one that I see has been discussed some time before (2004-2008) but I tried their solutions and nothing worked. I am entering addresses into Word and then when I need them, they are all in the same place. In order to print an envelope with a specific address, I highlight the entire address, select the "Mailing" group and then Envelopes.

Currently the address gets populated into the envelope window but makes it double-spaced instead of single place (and it is single spaced in the Word document and the paragraph setting is set to "0" and the line space is set to "1"). I cannot seem to find any way to get the envelope back to single spacing. Even if I try manually entering the address, it still formats it in double-space.

Is there a fix for this?

In Chrome you can start typing a website and when the autocomplete comes up, press SHIFT-DEL to remove it. In Internet Explorer, you can just click on the black X in the autocomplete list that comes up.
In Edge - how do I remove a single site from history/autocomplete? For example. I typed in the wrong website Now, when I start typing "facebook" in Edge, it autocompletes to the wrong one "facebok" instead. I'd like to just remove the incorrect one from the list.

I have had to reinstall pc due to it going at a crawl!!

After installing Outlook 2002, I can not get Outlook to auto fill the email address field when I start to type an email address in it.

The address book is there and in tacked after copying the outlook.pst file back to its original location after install.

How do I get Outlook to autofill?

Also when I click the 'TO' button in the new email window, it says that there is no address book!
but when I click the address book icon in the main Outlook window there are email address there?!

Any ideas how I can get this to work correctly again.

When you did the re-install, did you erase/format the hard drive before the re-install? If you did and did not save the Outlook auto fill file, then the all the auto fills you had are gone. Did you import the pst file into outlook?

I've just found a pst file with all my old email. I'd like to put them back on the server (hotmail) but before doing that I've seen that some of them were not recived (or sent) to my actual address ( but to an old one ( So I was thinking to export them from outlook 2013 to CSV, modify that address into the new one and then import them back on outlook 2013. The problem is that when I export them to CSV, in that file they don't have the date (received or sent) and so when I get them back on outlook 2013 they miss that info.
Can anyone help me doing this? I've been told that VBA macro should be useful for this, but having a look in it I have no idea of what I sould do.
Ah, instead of outlook 2013 I can also use thunderbird (45.3.0) if it's easier with it, but then I'd have to convert that pst file.

Its getting pretty old, it seems every two years or so a company is bought out and you have to switch your ending email address to that provider,
and now the latest will be, add to that a couple more in the list above i forgot the endings of its quite the list for about 8yrs worth.

Gmail? Yahoo? anything else worth considering as a permanent email address?

Answer:Best free email to use?...Im sick of companies being bought = new email address

I'd say Gmail. Otherwise try I've had an account with them for about 4 years, and even if I'm inactive for a couple of months, I go back and it's still there.

Is there some way of moving all messages from my hotmail account to another email address? So when I emails are sent to my hotmail address they are then sent to my other email address, (then deleted from hotmail).
Is there a program that can sit on the desktop that is always checking hotmail, and when a email is recieved it is then sent to another email address? (this address is not a hotmail address).

Any possibilities??

I just linked one of my email accounts to my personal gmail account so I could consolidate all my email but I found that it is much too cluttered. Now I have a mess in my personal gmail account.

How can I delete all the email from the linked account (which is now removed, but messages are still downloading) from my personal gmail inbox?

Answer:how to delete all email from a specific linked email address in gmail

Go to : Settings > Filters

The trick is to put a TO or FROM in the search field and hit TEST SEARCH, instead of applying the filter. Then delete what is in the search results. Now I don't know of a way to do this by account, but as long as you know the recipient or sender address (which would be your old email), then it should work fine. In your case, just put the sender address as your old email account and test the search, it should pull up all the email for you to delete

Hi guys,
'Boopme' had me run MiniToolBox and he wrote that he found "errors and other issues" and he bumped me to this thread.
Norton now seems to be removed and the restart was successful w/ out a restore.
This is what I wrote in under the from "Am I infected?" thread;

Been having problems with my laptop running Vista Home premium svc pack2.
One day, a month ago, Norton was not updating properly. Upon the next boot-up windows would not start and I was forced to restart in safe mode with a system restore. This was successful but Norton Security Suite was still not updating properly.
Since then, on a few occasions, I have attempted to uninstall Norton without success thru the program uninstaler. Norton is unresponsive. I even got the Norton rep. to do a remote deletion of all registry files of Norton. But they all returned after the reboot of my PC because windows would not open and I had to start-up thru system restore.
Since then my yahoo email been hacked and spam sent to the contacts of my address book.
I know I got something but I don't know what.. Can anyone take a stab at what I might need to do?

My Great-Uncle has Windows 98se. He uses the newest Netscape and recently clean out his inbox using the Netscape email program. For one reason or another he had un-installed the email client and now he doesn't have any access to his emails or address book. I know nothing about Netscape because I haven't used it in like, years.

Is there anyway to obtain the emails or the address book from the Netscape email application after it is un-installed?

Answer:Netscape Email program uninstalled... need old email and address book.

When I got BellSouth DSL years ago I had Outlook email account set up with BellSouth as outgoing and old domain as incoming so I could keep my email address from another domain. It worked fine until a year or so ago I had to add another account just for BellSouth and that worked fine.

Within last few weeks emails from my email address (old domain) would not send. I've been through it with ATT tech several times to no avail.

It seems that ATT has trapped me out and does not want me to be able to keep my old email.

There's bound to be a way to set up my email accounts so my outgoing email from my other ISP provider will send through BellSouth without changing my very old and reliable email address.

Also, I recently have acquired my own domain name and I fear emails from that email address will suffer the same fate.

I hope this is not too long, but PLEASE HELP if you can.

Answer:Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

If your BellSouth e-mail service is provided by Yahoo, then you probably need to go through a registration and authentication process for each e-mail address you want to send through a non BellSouth/Yahoo mail server. At least that is what I had to go through as an SBC/ATT DSL customer. They claim that they do the blocking to prevent from originating from users within their network.

EDIT: Forgetting my manners. Hi and welcome to TSG.

I'm running Windows 10 mobile plus latest updates on a Lumia 950.
My Hotmail email account wasn't syncing correctly so I removed it from the phone, restarted the phone then added it again.
It appears to have added the Microsoft Account OK but I am not getting email, contacts or calendar - can anyone help? Is there anything else I need to do?

Short story. Moved to another state, got new email address, went to change to new email address in usrcp.
Followed instructions, then everything went cattiwampus.

Using the KISS method, I ONLY want to change from orig email addr to new one. Everything else stays the same.

Answer:Changed email address, recd confirm email, followed it, no result?

Sounds like you may have been taken in by a phishing ploy.

Can you explain the acronym usrcp, and cattiwampus is what makes me think phishing ploy. Run your panda product and see what shows up.

Do you still have the email? If you do, post a screenshot.

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim oStory As Range
For Each oStory In ActiveDocument.StoryRanges
If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing
End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Selection.Range.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True
End Sub

So then I found this bit of coding on the web, and tried imp... Read more

I have an email account which is now serviced by Yahoo. Today a spam message originated from my account and was sent to everyone on my contacts list. "xmas" was in the subject line and the content was a web address which opens to a website apparently selling medications from Canada. Webroot antivirus has not detected any virus or malware on my computer. What should I do? Do I need to close the email account?

In the near future, my partner and I will be living in separate places of abode. Therefore, my partners Email address (which is currently managed by Outlook Express), will cease to exist. I need to arrange something whereby, when she sets up her new email address, the contents of her email folders are able to be transferred to that new email address....I have this thought in the back of my mind that I can do this with Thunderbird....if I install Thunderbird on her PC, now... and then back up the files and folders using the information here...... a new email address, when that time comes.....and then restore the Thunderbird files/profile etc, from the I just having a daydream....could it be that simple?Need some input here. I want to be sure I have not missed the bleepin obvious.....I dont want to lose all that she has.

For what it is worth, I backup My Thunderbird and Firefox with MozBackup great as it is to have tools such as Firefox and Thunderbird, backing them up can be a tedious process. MozBackup is a tiny program that makes saving and restoring all your bookmarks, extensions, and other personal settings a streamlined and stress-free experience. The program works with Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and Netscape on Windows platforms. It doesn't work with Firefox Portable, Sunbird, Songbird, or Flock, but for standard Windows iterations of the programs in the Mozilla suite, it's almost silly to not use this program.Close the program you want to back up, then runI used MozBackup recently to move all my Thunderbird email and settings and Firefox favorites etc. from one computer to another. No problems. It seems to me that your plan is sound, Import into Thunderbird, Backup, install Thunderbird on new computer and restore everything.Did I mention you can you can check or uncheck what you want and not backup what you don't want to backup.Hope this helpsRoger

Hi, I would like to know if there are any way to catch and send IP address of someone who login to Such private email like yahoo, gmail, etc. to us ? Is there any web services give that service for free ? or we have to send script or file to target Laptop ? This metoe is important to find someone who missing ?Thank You

Answer:Email IP address from user login to spesific others email

This would be private information that Yahoo/Gmail would have. Probably the only legal way to do it would be to get them involved. Even then, the ip address may or may not assist you in location as that information on the particular ip address may also be behind another services system. If its a criminal matter, I would recommend going through proper authorities.mike

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.
I use:
-Windows 7 Pro

-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier
Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

I recently changed to comcast cable internet. I can send and receive mail at my email. However, I cannot send to someone at an "" email address. I have NEVER had this problem with this domain.

I went over all settiings with comcast and they are correct.

Does anyone know how to UNBLOCK an email address from not being able to be sent to? Or, is there a setting or workaround so that i can send from comcast to the email address?

Comcast has not told me it is blocked, but I can think of no other reason and I've read that they randomly block TONS of email domains for "spam" purposes.

Anyone else have a solution to this? Thanks!

Hi all,

I have a problem, a client had a setup with another mailserver (Mdaemon), that allowed him to do that.
Anyone knows how to do the same in Exchange? I thought about distribution lists, but I don't think it will work to have a dist. list called [email protected], with the members joe, martin and peter. You can't have an email address with the same name as a distribution list right?

How would you solve this?

Answer:How to forward all the email sent to an email address to 2 other (Exchange 2003)?

You could have [email protected] go to joe, martin, and peter and you can call it [email protected] if you like.

If you are talking about Joe having the e-mail address [email protected] and he wants e-mails to go to martin and peter as well, then you can do that, but it would work best by using Outlook to create the server side rule. Though I have a few issues with that, in that if Joe gets something non-work related it will go to the other two as well.

Also you could create [email protected] if Joe's e-mail address is [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected], or [email protected]

Hi, I have 2 different certificates (digital IDs) that i have assigned to the same email address (it is necessary for sending documents to government offices).
Now does any email client offer the option to pick the certificate when writing the email and not prior to that? Because it's rather annoying and not very feasible to always go to options and select the default one whenever i need to use the other certificate as Outlook (+Express) and Thunderbird allow.

Or is there any way in these email clients to set this up properly?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

The problem was found when I was using the TuneUp DiskCleaner to scan the hard drive labled F (the "File" drive). The scanning was stopped when it reached a folder (a folder that contains html pages that someone sent to me and I saved there), and a error message popped up saying "Access violation at address 019C44F3. Read of address 83C70A78."

I repeated the scanning and the exactly same thing happened -- even the error address reported was the same.

I tried to delete the folder from the explorer window. But everytime after I press the "delete" button, the explorer just breaks down, while that folder remains there the next time I open the explorer. The same thing happens in when I tried to delete it in the safe mode.

Strangely, I was able to rename the folder. It just can't be deleted.

Since everytime the same error address was reported, I assumed there could be some defect with the hard drive. So I launched a thorough scan of the F drive using TuneUp Disk Doctor, which reached the deepest level by checking every 512 bytes sector. The scan took about 20 minutes, but nothing wrong was found.

Can any one help me figure out what's wrong? Thanks.

Answer:Access violation at address 019C44F3. Read of address 83C70A78.(RESOLVED)

Hi there and welcome to TSF.
First, check the permissions on the folder. Right click on it then select properties. Make sure the folder isn't "read-only". If you still can't delete it, try using the utility MoveonBoot. You can download it from this site.. This allows you to mark the folder for removal next time you reboot.

I am running xp pro. I can not get an internet connection through my ethernet card. When I hook up my modem through usb it works fine but unable to utilize my full download speed capabilities. Hooked the modem up via ethernet to laptop and it worked just fine. The only thing I can find wrong that I don't know how to fix or what is causing it is the fact that the physical address of the card comes up as the broadcast address (FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF). Very strange. Can someone please suggest a fix for this (and dont say update the drivers) although it could likely be something as simple that I have overlooked.

A machine running 64-bit win10 belongs to one WorkGroup, connects to the LAN via EtherNet for speed but it must be available via wifi also, so both connections are open.
For an Android device to access an app served by a webapp served on the win10 machine, the win10 machine needs a fixed IP address. The Android device seems to understand only IPv4 addresses, When the win10 machine's EtherNet connection is IPv6, it's apparently impossible to give it a static wifi IPv4 address.
How do I solve this?

Answer:static IPv4 wifi address while ethernet uses IPv6 address?

Hi pzbrawl

Interesting. My adapter shows and IPv6 address and an IPv4 address. When you you go into the TCP/IPv4 properties is it just greyed out to prevent entering.

When you do an "ipconfig /all" command on your windows 10 machine does your adapter have an address for each protocol.

One thing you might be able to do to fool the system.

With your Windows 10 machine connected, enter your router and reserve an address based on the MAC of your Windows 10 machine. Then this address will always be saved for your Windows 10 machine ( so in essence it will be static). Usually there is a specific section in the router to do this. You open it, find device and click reserve. (might be slightly different on your device.)'

By the way what router do you have?

I would thank you very much for trying to advice me.

Answer:typing web address brings me to a diiferent address in explore and mozilla

There are a few reasons for this.

First sometimes the site you are looking to visit isa "front" site and is for the most part fake. It is created to get search engines to list it high on the list of returned results.
When you try to use the search link to go to the site you get redirected to the site the creators/owners actually want you to visit. There are various reasons they may want this, but I will not go into the why for now other than to tell you it usually involves visitor counts and or subscriptions translating into money.

Second this is a common symptom of maleware/spyware.
It is also a redirect to a website they are hoping if you see it enough you will get interested and pay to join.
It may have installed as a legit program without your permission.
This would be why the restore did not work.

There are other reasons, but I will only deal with these first as they are the two most common.

If it is only happening on one site I would just forget about that site as it is a lost cause.
If it is happening on more than one site then I would run a few good spyware scans and at least one good anti-virus scan if not more than one to make sure you "catch" it if that is in fact what is wrong.

If you do not already have them I would reccomend installing

In the past I've maintained my address book using the built-in Address Book utility that came with Windows. Once each year, I would import my Address Book (.WAB) file into Outlook 2003/XP. (I don't use Outlook for email.) Then I would use the Mail Merge feature in Word 2003/XP to make and print address labels on standard Avery label sheets to simplify address of my Christmas cards.

Since I'm now using Windows 7, and the familiar Address Book utility is no longer available, how can I print my address labels? I have both Windows Address Book (.WAB) and Comma-Separated Values (.CSV) files that contain my address book data. So, I guess I need to know two things:
Which program or utility (preferably free) can I use to print my address labels.
How do I import my address data into that program?

If it helps, I am already a user of Gmail and Google Drive. Thanks.

Answer:Solved: Address Label Printing without Windows Address Book

Hi Jim,
Assuming you still have Microsoft Office (any version) you can use the Word mail merge feature and use your .csv file as your data source - no other programs necessary. What version of Office are you using?

Hey everyone.

I've ran into a problem that I can't quite figure out. My internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.

Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP
When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'

-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working

All of these options did not work.

What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.

I'd be glad to prov... Read more

Answer:'No Internet Access' IP address shows router not the modem IP address

That would be your ISPs' address, the router would probably be or so, in the properties, advanced button for the ipv4 of your adapter, make sure both settings are on auto, and add the correct router address in the gateway box.

I was wondering if there's a way to make and modify multiple address books. I subscribe to a website that allows me to import my OE email addresses, but I only want to import certain email addresses, not the whole WAB. I tried making a copy of my existing primary WAB, re-naming it and deleting certain contacts, but it directly affected/changed my primary WAB at the same time (synchronized?). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas!!!!!

Edit: I have OE 6 on a Win XP Pro SP2 desktop.

I have some IOT devices that the manufacture decided would be a good idea to hard code the IP address in (Not user changeable)
I have 4 of these devices and they are all hard coded to   Half appreciating the problem I have connected them directly to 4 separate Ethernet ports on my PC using cross over cables and configured those ports as,, & respectively. No idea what netmask I should use, and if I should give each one a gateway address.
Now can anybody think of a way I can actually access these devices? I feel I need to be spoofing something, or doing some weird routing.  They only need to be accessed by this one PC, so I don't need to worry about forwarding packets to the outside
world or anything.
Any help greatly appreciated - currently trying to 'hack' the firmware in these devices so I can change their IP addresses.  But would proberbly be easier.

Thanks, Keith

I need to setup a Address Book that will be changed on a monthly basis, I create a CSV file and import it into Netscape 4.79 right now. My issue is I would like to get rid of Netscape and switch to Outlook Express, but i'm having trouble with adding a new Address Book. I can create a folder and import it into the Main Identity Address Book and move them to the new folder. This will only work for the initial setup, as soon as people use they will have there own contacts, and I will not be able to move them. I was hoping there was a way to import a Folder, with the contacts already listed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hoping someone has more information on this than I can find

Environment info:
Windows Small business server 2008
BES express 5.0.1
Syncing company contacts public folder (over 11k contacts)

The issue is that some contacts list the address funny
example address: 110 street name, 10 street name, 0 street name

Its not a huge deal, since we have fixed most issues with this BES server, however any info would be great

Answer:BES multiple address in contacts

There are actually two different address books, and our recommendations would be different depending on the book we're talking about.

If it's the user's address book, then I'd check their mailbox and see if there is any corruption.

If it's the system address book, then I'd nuke it from the database and resync it.

Answer:Multiple address books?

In the Folder List, right click your Contacts and create two new folders for your Personal Address book and Business Address book. Once created, all you have to do is drag & drop the contacts into the proper location.
When sending an email. Click on the "To..." then on the drop down menu titled, "Show names from the:" where you can select the proper folder to grab the email address.

I can't find a single person at the phone company who can answer these questions.

We have a commercial DSL account that gives 5 static IP addresses. Obviously, one of them is being used by the router connected to the modem. How prey-tell do we use the other 4?

Answer:Multiple IP address DSL account

You may have to assign them statically. Ask your providor if they use DHCP or not. If they do not then ask them for your default gateway, subnet mask, and DNS. They should be able to provide those. Once you get the answer, we will take it from there.

In our village in Spain, we have a very dodgy wireless internet access system, run by a company called NijarNet that is very difficult to communicate with - partly a language problem and partly because their customer service is dreadful. I have 13 clients with accounts here (I'm a management agent), and I manage these for them - they are all either wifi or wimax which pick up the signal from various antennae in the area. One such client was having no problem until something called Spamcop blocked his emails. Since then, he is unable to send emails from his 02 account, although he can send from his gmail account with no problem. He can receive on both accounts. O2 says it's not their problem, but that I must talk to the provider (which I have tried to do but they deny it's their problem and can't/won't give any advice on what the problem might be). I reckon it's something fairly simple that I might be able to sort myself, maybe a setting on the router? Can you offer any advice? He's tried it on several different laptops, devices etc with no luck. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi, Gmail is not a program, it is a web base email service therefore you can't set Gmail as default email in Windows 7. But if you also have Outlook (One Office program) on your machine, you can set Gmail as your default in Outlook. Other email programs (yes, programs) may also support this. Regards.

I am helping a friend with their computer mess. The husband uses Windows Live as his email client and the wife uses direct Road Runner.

They both use the same computer. When the husband tries to send email to his wife's email acct, she never receives it. Yet he can send emails to me and I am a Road Runner email address. So I know that his Windows Live is set up correctly.

His wife's email is working fine directly through Road Runner as she can send and receive emails.

SO... Seems to me the issue has something to do with using the same computer and he never signs out of Windows Live. (I personally use Outlook as I am a business and am not familiar with Windows Live)

He never gets any kind of Undeliverable mail message or anything.

Can anyone help me here. I'm am do back over to continue cleaning up some other issues with his system. And I'm not sure where to go from here.

Thank you in advance.

Hello! I'm a (very) long time lurker of this site but recently decided to join. I've had my Windows 8.1 Toshiba Satellite laptop for a bit over a month. About 2 weeks into ownership I started receiving spam emails in my msn account, the one I use to sign into the laptop. These mails are sometimes from me, although I have checked my sent mail and there isn't anything there I haven't personally sent. I signed into a different email account and that one was spammed too, until I signed out.
I access the internet from my phone and my desktop pc (Windows 7). I wasn't sure where the issue was coming from so I turned off the desktop but the problem persisted. I did a system restore on the I ran AntiMalwarebytes, CCleaner, and my antivirus programs which all came back clean, but the problem is still here.
I've factory restored three times, completely reformatted the drive twice and I still have the problem. I installed Windows 10 Preview but I didn't receive any spam for the hours I had it running. I reinstalled my OEM version of 8.1 and within 2 hours the spam emails started. The last time, I hadn't even installed my firewall and antivirus program when the spam email started. I also noticed that my OneDrive says the last time the files were synced was in 1969.
Having the laptop in airplane mode or shut off is the only way I don't receive spam.

Hi guys heres one that is driving me nuts.
an email account is set up with an isp here , its
so the email is say [email protected]
now joe has two email aliases on his account e.g.

[email protected]
[email protected]

now when joe accesses his account through outlook it obviously checks the btconnect account and sends the mail to the correct alias, but it cant seem to do it.
what happens is , it logs on checks one alias then the server errors whilst checking the other as it is still logged on i assume to the main btconnect mail account and so errors out

e.g [email protected] works and errors out
i would like to find a way to check flooring first and roofing after but cant figure it out
someone suggested using identities in outlook express but isnt outlook the better program and surely there is some kind of feature for this problem

usually after it gets its bearings it is then happy and says send receive complete but after a couple of tries and leaving an error message at the bottom of the screen
as it is trying to check the two accounts on the same email address at the same time.
any ideas anyone
i am even willing to try thunderbird instead
just the managers like the calender etc in outlook

Answer:Outlook Using 2 email aliases on one email address

still no ideas on this one.
maybe using rules in outlook would help.
I could just check mail from the BT account
e.g. [email protected] and filter the mail for the aliases into the corresponding mail box, but how then if a mail is written in outlook could it be send from the correct account.
e.g [email protected] or [email protected] rather than the mail appearing as though it was sent from [email protected] , wow outlook is confusing stuff lol.

I'm helping a friend with her computer. Here are the 2 issues.

1) The email app in Windows 8.1 on her laptop just stopped working. She can no longer send or receive emails at all from any of her accounts. She says that she believes it has happened before maybe even a couple times a month.

2) This may or may not be related - The main email address in the app is her work email address from an old job. Whether it's related or not, she wants to undo that and have her primary email address to login or whatnot. She has since deleted all of her other email addresses from the app.

Hopefully others have had this issue and able to assist.

Thanks guys!

Hi everyone. A few days ago I got a mailerdamon failure notice. I looked and it was a link sent out to a bunch of my contacts....I've changed my password about 4 times, and it just happened again today. I'm changing my password from another computer btw. When I look in my sent folder, it doesn't have the virus email as one that's been sent. I just downloaded Avira Antivirus, and it says its blocking a site from connecting to my computer, it scanned and found two GEN/ virus and quarantined them. I'm also getting a DEP error on IE when I try to get on the net.

Worth noting, the past few days I was on another forum do to my computer trying to connect to "pinball corp". I was using malwarebytes at that time, which I've since uninstalled because Avira says it might conflict with it. We went through all the malware removal procedures, and when I tried to run TFC.exe, my computer froze. So I hardbooted it. When it came back on I couldn't run any programs, and my wireless network driver was uninstalled. I was able to delete a lot of programs from my startup folder that I wasn't using, and when I restarted I could run programs again.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
