Preferred Solution: Attached jpg photo files turn to MIME - Mac to PC

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Question: *.MIME Photo's?

A friend of mine is sending photos through email to me and they keep showing up as .MIME files when I try to view them. No viewer I've tried so far will open them, unless I open the email through AOL.COM (even though I use AOL to connect and browse!)

Is there a stand alone program that will allow me to view this files without going through all this extra stuff?

Answer:*.MIME Photo's?

My Lenovo laptop recently decided to update itself to windows 10.I initially tough i lost all my pictures, but later found out they were located in C:/users/*myname*/pictures. I sighed with relief as they seemd to be intact and open as Intended.Like a month later i was working on resume online and was asked to include a picture of myself. So i went to the afromentoined directory only to find all of my files were turned into shortcuts. All of the shortcuts linked me to F:\*foldername* which i found preculiar given my hdd is named C:i googled arouond and found the attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.* fix, but it kept telling me access denied. I understand this only works for portable drives?I really hope my pictures haven't just vanished anywhere, is there aything i can do to resolve this sitsuation?message edited by Megasatan

Answer:Why did all my photo files turn to shortcuts?

I'm not familiar with Windows 10, but if you look at the properties of the photos, what do you see? Also, are you located in the US? If so, it's not legal for an employer to ask for a photo until after a job offer has been made. :)

I use a Mac and I send jpg to my brothers who both use Win ME. If I send an unedited photo from the camera, they see it open in the mail message. Same if I forward a message which contains a jpg that a Win user sent to me.

If I edit a photo in Adobe Photoshop, save as jpg, and then send as an attachment, it comes to them in mim format. I have tried different compressions, different sizes etc...nothing I have found works. They do not know how to open these MIM attachements.

This does not happen to people who have later versions of Windows, they can open anything I send them.

So what is going on here?

Can it be fixed?

Can they configure their email applications to open these attachements (both are using AOL)?

What can they use to open MIM attachments

Answer:how to open MIM or MIME files??

Don't have Photoshop but seems like I remember they have a proprietary JPG? How many choices of JPG or other image formats can you save to? Try a small picture in a few formats and send it via email. When you find out what they can open without a problem, continue saving in that specific format. Generally, there is no problem with GIF or JPG.

If I am way off base, perhaps someone with Photoshop experience can step in here and help out.

Hi,Sorry if this a little long, but I am beginner. I am designing my first website using NVU. My webhost is 1and1. I am trying to include a slideshow on my website. The page willpublish ok, however the slideshow will not show. I am using Photodex, Proshow Gold 2.6. This is a quote from Proshow "help section" "Make sure your web server can deliver PX files. Some web servers are configured to not deliver unrecognized file types. Your serveradministrator may need to add a MIME Type to handle the PX file. This configuration is different for each type of server, so consult your server administrator or web server documentation for more information. Your server must be able to deliver .PX files as 'binary octetstreams.'"I contacted 1and1 for some advice, but I don't know how to respond. Could anyone help me with a response?1and1 response:"Kindly email as [us] the MIME type and and its version. When you can provide it, I will try to escalate the case and ask our administrators to add it in the server. However, I could not give you an assurance that our admins will provideyou with the request. Our admins may deny it if the MIME type will turn out to be conflicting with the setup on shared hosting servers. Typically, our shared hosting servers will not allow video streaming".

That was a great suggestion about how to find the single photo in 2011. How do we make them medium, small or smaller as before in the older version? Is there a way in this system?

We are getting much less frustrated with this help.

Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:single photo attached

What is the application "2011"?

Paint can be used, but it's not very convenient. In Windows 98SE I used Irfanview. I assume that still works fine, but in XP I started using the Image Resizer in Microsoft's Power Tools. And now in Windows 7 I use the Image Resizer Clone.

I think this is probably the correct forum, as it is a general one about viruses and how they become attached. OK, it is my own digital camera -not a phone--I think the make (Samsung) is probably irrelevant to the question. I recently became interested in photography, partly to send people pics and share, without anyone needing to print. I have mentioned here before that I have Norton 2010 installed, which checks any new website I use or any download and regularly chucks out even "low threat tracking cookies". I emailed a friend 2 riverside pics. However, I had email from the friend to say they opened one pic but their internet security alerted them to a virus on the other.I wonder if anyone can tell me how a virus became attached to one photo, when all photos were on same pc and camera, not used by anyone else, (I hadn't gone via photobucket) and all checked by Norton? Sorry it is a long post

Answer:Virus attached to a home photo?

More likely to be a false positive, send the photo in question to someone else and see what happens...

A short time ago photos I open in Photoshop cc or Elements 11 open in huge size files.  I realize that these programs open the uncompressed files, which are larger than what shows on my harddrive, but when a 6 MB file opens as 51 MB, that seems excessive. As I work on the photo, the file rapidly become unworkable, using huge amounts of memory.  Can anyone help me with this?  I have been on an Adobe forum and haven't been able to resolve this.

Answer:Opening a photo in photo processing creates huge files

Welcome to Bleeping Computer. Whether what you're describing is unusual depends on a few factors. As you say the size variation can just come down to compression, as well as layers. What are the file formats and when you say "huge" amounts of memory, how much?
A 6MB .JPG could easily be compressed enough to be 51MB in RAM, especially if it has layers. Photoshop if I recall correctly uses default allocations that should allow filesizes over 1 GB to be handled. A more common cause of bogging down or instability is if the image RAM allocation is set very high to handle large images, but then a lot of effects plugins are used. Photoshop allocates a dedicated memory pool for plugins, and setting image memory very large robs this.

Hi everyone,

I have been experiencing a problem with my laptop lately. Sometimes when I put too much stuff on my hard drive, after a few days, a blue screen of death will appear with the following message:

Technical information:
STOP: 0x0000007A (0xc03E79A4, 0xC000000E, 0xF9E69384, 0x07BE6860)

atapi.sys - Address F9E69384 base at F9E5C000, Date stamp 41107b4d.

Beginning dumping of physical memory.

I can also hear a clicking sound when this is about to happen. I might thinking it might be the hard drive but I am not sure.

Everytime after I reformat, the bsod will not appear for a month or two and comes back again.

Also, my system clock is not accurate at all. At the moment, it is several months off. Not sure what is wrong with it.

Would appreciate any help!!! Thanks

Answer:Blue screen of death. Attached the photo.

First try clearing the paging file following the directions here:

Then run chkdsk on the drive:

The log for chkdsk is available in the Event Viewer after rebooting (run eventvwr.msc) in the Applications Log > Winlogon entry. You can double click it to view the details and there is a copy icon that can copy the details to the clipboard for pasting.

It is definitely a hard drive problem.

You might try removing and reseating the drive. Not really hard on a laptop -- probably just a couple of screws holding it down. Check your manual if unsure.

I go into Windows photo viewer, select a photo then click on email. the correct window opens, I select the appropriate photo size and click on attach. The email opens with a title in the header of "Emailing: 001-Unicode (UTF-8)"
After composing the email I click on send and a message in this format appears (This is a message I got off a website as I do not have access to the Vista laptop at the moment)
"The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'Brochure
Pictures', Account: '', Server:
'', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 5.7.1
<[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied', Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"
Emails composed through windows mail with photo attachments of the original size send correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Windows Mail will not send email with photo attached

One possibility is size of the picture.

'Recipient address rejected' could be the receiving email address has a limit on size, or blocks, pic files sent to it.

Hello All: I have encountered a perplexing problem when attempting to update the firmware in the Intel Management Engine.  The firmware update is posted on the W520 driver page (it is package 83rf32ww).  The problem is the error message shown in the photo below. The update process starts when the MEUpdate.CMD file is selected within the DOS window, but after a few seconds, the error message at the bottom of the picture appears. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael

Answer:Problem when updating Management Engine (ME) firmware - photo attached

Are you running MEUpdate.CMD by directly double-clicking on it?

If you already are, try opening an elevated Command Prompt window, navigating to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ME (so the interpreter doesn't try and look for the file in C:\Windows\system32), and then run MEUpdate.cmd.

Do a web search for "<carrier name> MMS settings" and then on your 920 go to Settings > cellular + SIM > SIM settings > edit MMS APN

Laptop won't boot if charger is attached

I have a weird problem on this Toshiba Satellite L300 laptop. It doesn't boot whenever it's charger is attached. The charger has no problem bcoz it charges the laptop (only if the laptop is turn off), but Windows can't boot while it is attached.

These are the scenarios:

1. Only battery is attached = Laptop boots and works fine
2. Battery and Charger attached = Laptop wont boot; Right after the POST when Windows starts to load, Laptop restarts.
3. Only Charger is attached = Laptop wont boot; Right after the POST, when Windows starts to load, Laptop restarts.
4. The laptop is running on its battery (already in Windows), but whenever I attach the charger, the laptop turns off, and then charging LED turns ON. Looks like it can't supply power in Windows state.

It's OS is Windows 7.

What parts of the Laptop should I check?
Is this a Software or Hardware problem?

Answer:Laptop won't turn if charger is attached

The AC charging circuits on the laptops motherboard are damaged. This means that the motherboard will need to be replaced

Hi there

My Kodal Easyshare digital frame (SV-1011) wont turn on.

This began after i plugged the frame out of the wall while it was turned on.After this it wouldn't turn on when i plugged it back in.

There is a light on the plug/adapter. It stays lighting while i have detached the power cable from the frame itself but when i attach it back into the frame the light starts flickering faintly.

Could this indicate that something is fried in the frame or adapter? Has anyone had any problems like this have any tips or advice?

Id really appreciate it..

I have a couple of problems.. I get an error message saying the 'Windows Security System can't be started' - had this for a couple days, and when I try to open DisplayFusion I get a popup error saying 'A device attached to the system is not functioning' - only started today; reinstalled did nothing.

I did have a Google redirect problem that has gone after running FixTDSS - DisplayFusion error started after this redirect problem cleared. I have run a full scan with Malwarevytes and Avira AV which has found no problems, chkdsk has found no problems either. I have once previously experienced the Security Center problem but that time it was accompanied by a BSOD problem, which thankfully is not happening this time.

Running 64bit OS so don't have a GMER log.

Hi, On my Ideapad Y560, whenever the computer detects that I'm viewing a photo, it automatically bumps up the contrast and darkens the colors.  I really hate this effect, is there a way to turn it off?  I'm running windows 7 64 bit and have an ATI 5700 series graphics card.  Thanks! -Scott

I am a relatively new Vista user and am overwhelmed by the overlapping of programs....I want to keep all of my videos and photos within one program on my computer. I seem to soetimes upload to Windows Live Photo, and sometime to Windows Photo. Is there a way to combine all files on these 2 programs and then delete the unused program? I like the visual format of Live Photo, so that is the one I prefer to keep. Thanks in advance for the tips.

Answer:Combine files in Windows Photo with Windows Live Photo?

I'm not quite familiar with either one... but I'm sure all your pics are in the Pictures folder and all your videos are in the Videos. So you can just import...

Another alternative is Picasa (if you want one). It automatically scans your whole computer for pics and videos, so it wouldn't be a hassle to find them. It is centrallized in one location.

I have some old (15-20 years back) 3.5" floppy disks containing Photos. I have a floppy disk player. However they appear listed as .FFV files and as such open as a series of numbers. Can this be overcome?

Answer:How to Open Photo files listed as .FFV files.

There's plenty of info on the web if you do a search. It would appear that they could be Hassleblad photos.

Question: log files attached

I hope I have attached the correct log file and I hope that assistance will be gratefully at hand. I have managed with the tutorial's help to at least get it going Thanks

Answer:log files attached

Welcome! to!

There are a few more logs we need from the READ ME. As a reference I will post our initial instructions below.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given further down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
TDSSserv Non-Plug & Play Driver Disable

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

Helpful Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in Safe Mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes ... Read more

Question: Log Files Attached

I think my problem might have been caused by running Gomez Peer Zone software (not P2P file sharing).
After a few hours would get low memory errors and not enough storage to process operation and would have to close everything down and reboot.

After a few days was unable to run Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, or Windows Explorer. Would get The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application. Would have to click OK twice.

Eventually, task manager wouldn't open either. Mozilla FireFox always worked ok.

Installed Mcafee trial and uninstalled Avast, SpyBot, Sunbelt firewall, and Lavasoft Adaware and now all my programs run. Uninstalling Avast seemed to allow my programs to work.

Please find attached log files.

I look forward to seeing your recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Not seeing any malware: Let's just do this.

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

Question: Attached Files

Hello i wonder if someone can help me with this problem. I use Wins 98SE and I.E6. I play with PBEM files with several opponents. But in the last few days one of them, so far, seems now unable to send a attached file. He claims its with his email but i cant see anything, so far, we had no problems before, he's the only one, but there might be another when i get a reply from him. Is there any chance my AVG anti virus that does an incoming email scan might blacklist certain messagers? I hope this is clear for anyone to understand and can help thank you.

Answer:Attached Files

Are you using Outlook Express? If so, can you see the heading of the attachment on the mail you receive, or is it missing altogether? If you cannot open the attachment then close the email, and go to Tools > Options > Click Security tab > and uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" Click Apply and OK. Then try to open the attachment again.

I received several files that a friend said he sent as .pdf files. However, they arrived with the suffix, .lnk, and I could not open them. What causes this? What can I do to open files like that?

Thanks, guys!

Answer:Odd suffix attached to .pdf files

They copied a shortcut, not the actual file. The file extension "ink" is a shortcut. If they are emailing them they need to attach the file itself not a shortcut, if they are burning on a disc they need to add the file to the disc not the shortcut. That is why your files are showing "ink" instead of "pdf".

I'm am not exactly sure I need to provide more details, because I believe the DMP files are all that is necessarily. The crashes have occurred lately while I was importing video from VHS tape using a pinnacle DVC digital converter. Halway through my import I got the BSOD. This happened three times. Thanks for this great service.
I've followed the readme and all steps....

Dell Latitude, about 5 years old.

1. I keep seeing recurring instances of these files in the startup even though I've removed them from time to time:

2. When booting up, it doesn't go right to windows. I need to hit ctl-alt-del and then it boots up.

3. Recently a new profile was created by itself. I'm not talking the windows profile but before you boot into windows there is a new profile. I think it's called the cmos profiles?? Maybe I created it myself by mistake, but not to my recollection.

4. The Add/Remove programs from control panel doesn't work anymore. It just hangs. I read somewhere that if you move the .cpl files elsewhere you can run them. Some of them did work, but the add/remove application is broken.

I wanted to include the logfile from the rootkitrevealer program since it turned up a couple interesting entries but your help file doesn't say where the "save" button puts the logfile and I'm not finding it anywhere
So I just included a snapshot of the output which has the data in it.

Answer:Got some rootkit I think, log files attached

You need to attach only the logs requested in the READ ME. We do not ask for a HijackThis log because it is automatically included in the file that is requested. You need to attach the below two logs from the READ ME:
AVG Antispyware
C:\ from running MGtools.exe

Hey all. I've used MajorGeeks multiple times in the past for infections and the help has been AMAZING. Well, my friend recently got infected and I knew where to head . I conducted all the steps via remote desktop, which was a fun experience. Anyway, here are the log files, and below are any idiosyncrasies we encountered:

The first step, removing old java installs and installing the latest, couldn't happen. Normal mode was completely messed up and safe mode wouldn't allow us to install anything (this is Vista).

- We had to run in safe mode until after the SAS step

- DeFogger showed no cd emulation

- SAS and MB were both already installed. I couldn't manage to uninstall SAS and reinstall, so I merely updated. It seemed to run just fine (I've seen SAS ran before when it's messed up - it really seemed okay here), after being updated. MB was done through the traditional route.

Post cleanup:

- Still a bit of wonky behavior. Haven't used the system too extensively, but already we notice:
- anytime I hit ctrl+f , I get "The Active Domain Directory Services is unavailable".
- in Normal mode, hitting the r key causes 'Run' to trigger, always.

Anyways, here are the logs (only three files since Vista). Thanks all as always for a phenomenal, immensely helpful job!

9 different BSOD error codes, with about 11 different causes being blamed
6 or 7 of the memory dumps point to Norton/Symantec components as the cause.

So, please do the following:

Please do the following:

I have run all sorts of scans including CombiFix, Stinger, CWShredder, Spybot, BOClean, Ad-Aware, SmitFraudFix etc - let me know if you want to see the reports generated by any of those and I'll re-do them.

I have also updated Java and deleted old versions as I know that can sometimes let nasty things in.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - although please bear with me as the time difference will probably delay my response!

It would be better if you posted the log for Bitdefender as the instructions in step 6 said. All you posted the way you saved it was a summary that does not help use to know where the problems are.

I have been using Microsoft outlook 2000 with no problems for long time.
Recently, I noticed that when I forwarded an e-mail with attachments, these didn’t reach the receiver. Also, when I attach manually the files, some people get them fine and some get a long list of funny symbols inside the message.
I suspect there can be an incompatibility between outlook and other programs like Eudora and Pegasus… but in the past I had no problems at all!!!
Could it be a virus? Or a problem with the SMTP server???
Thanks in advance.

Zone Alarm can cause these sort of errors. Please try this to see if it isolates the problem:
- uninstall ZoneAlarm
- use this free tool to remove the remnants of it (direct download link):
- activate the Windows Firewall
- check for further BSOD's

One of the memory dumps blames your Avast antivirus. If removing ZoneAlarm doesn't fix things, then try removing Avast:

Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the Avast from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Avast using this free tool: avast! Uninstall Utility
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

The final possibility is the Novatel wireless USB modem. Although the drivers are from 2010, it's possible that they may have corruption inside of one or more of the files - so I'd suggest downloading a fresh copy of the installation software from the provider of the modem and installing it on your system.

I have been sent a jpg file on e-mail and can't seem to save it to my computer so that I can print it off. It won't print as it is because it's too big and I can't seem to edit it. When I try to go to Save As it won't bring an option to save it as a jpg file. Can anyone help?

Answer:.jpg files attached to e-mail

I had a problem trying to save images from the net in jpeg format. The advice from Patr100 was: "This is an recognised bug when the IE cache gets bloated. In IE, Go to Tools/ Internet Options/Temp files - Press "delete files" and that should correct it." This worked for me, but I don't know if it'll work with an email image. Might be worth a try though. (Oh, and after doing that close and re-open IE and Outlook Express)

I am getting pop ups when i use explorer that norton360 isn't finding. Norton's jumpstart service told me its a browser hijacker, but they couldn't get rid of it. At teh bottom is the log, and above the log I have identified the items in the log hijack this says are a problem but I don't know what to do about it. I also don't know if there are more issues than that site found. The time.exe file is something the norton guys tried to remove and couldn't.
i use a dell dimension 4700 computer with dsl. Interestingly these pop ups showed up way worse after i installed 360??? thanks for your help. I am definitely an amateur!

My HD crashed on my laptop. I have a windowsimagebackup saved on my desktop. My Laptop is Windows 7 32 bit and desktop is Windows 7 64 bit. I installed new HD and loaded windows 7 32 bit back to laptop. I can't get the windowsimagebackup to take when going to disk management and attaching VHD. The virtual drive gets nothing saved to it. It creates the virtual HD but the drive is still 100% available. I have tried moving the ImageBackup to laptop HD and attaching from there as well as from an external and also through the network from the desktop where it was saved. It's about 180 GB.

I have also tried going through system recovery and locating it through there to restore the system image but it never is able to locate through any of the options even when doing advanced and typing in the network location. It keeps telling me network path not available or something like that even though it is correct.

Can someone please help. This is very frustrating. I have read I don't know how many blogs about VHD issues and nothing has solved my problem.

Answer:Attached VHD shows no files

Hi Plove, welcome to the Seven forums.

To restore a system image, you do not attach it as a virtual HD. Please see this tutorial for instructions on how to recover your computer using a system image created with Windows Backup: System Image Recovery

I have several programs on the computer that read jpg files.

Answer:Attached jpg files default to Word?

Maybe right click open with,,,media player, looks by default it wants to
open with word. I would try and get media player by default, look into

My webserver at Host Gator was attacked. 12 sites were compromised. The support staff suggested that I follow the procedures on the following thread to be sure that my local computer is clean:

I followed all the steps and have attached the log files. Please let me know what I need to do from here. Hopefully I'm good to go and nothing needs to be done.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Answer:Is my computer infected? Log files attached

Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.

Go back to step 4 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.

Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
How to Protect yourself from malware!

Since installing Norton Antivirus 2005 I have found some family history files related to a specific piece of genealogy software now have the NAV logo attached. After working on the Tools/Folder Options/File Types box I can get the files to open with the correct program. When I hold the cursor over the file it shows the file type as 'Norton Anti Virus Scan' but there is no Norton Anti Virus Scan showing under FolderOptions/File Types. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the visually intrusive Norton stethoscope logo? Any help gratefully received.

Answer:Wrong icons attached to files

Try right clicking on the file and then select "open with" and then choose program, select the program from the list that you want to open this type of file and then check the always open with this program box.

My wife has a sizable backup on an external hard drive made in Windows 7. Having connected the external drive to her PC she attached the main vhd folder using Disk Management. A new partition for the attached vhd folder appeared but after a second or two it disappeared. This keeps occurring. Is there something that can be done to stop the attached folder from detaching itself?
