The first solution than I tried I use the method beginQuoteFileUnquoteUpload1 it created me a good boundary and good Content-Type but when I receive the file. The file is corrupted :(

var formData = new FormData();
formData.append('file', document.getElementById('file').files[0], document.getElementById('file').files[0].name);

function beginQuoteFileUnquoteUpload1(data)
{
// Define a boundary, I stole this from IE but you can use any string AFAIK
var boundary = "---------------------------7da24f2e50046";
var xhr = null;
if (window.XMLHttpRequest || window.ActiveXObject) {
if (window.ActiveXObject) {
try {
xhr = new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP");
} catch(e) {
xhr = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
}else{
xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
}else{
alert("Votre navigateur ne supporte pas l'objet XMLHTTPRequest...");
return;
}
var body = '--' + boundary + '\r\n'
+ 'Content-Dis name="file";'
+ 'filename="'+document.getElementById('file').files[0].name+'"\r\n'
+ 'Content-type: application/pdf\r\n\r\n'
+ data + '\r\n'
+ '--'boundary + '--';

var url ="https://gedcreditor.mycloud.by/Myproject/ws/rest/sendemail/";
url+=document.getElementById('file').files[0].name;
url+="/a/a/a";
xhr.open("POST", url, true);
xhr.setRequestHeader(
"Content-type", "multipart/form-data; boundary="+boundary);
xhr.setRequestHeader('Authorization','Bearer ' + JWTtoken);//Our test server does not accept JWt, once we use AXA server, we will test the JWT
xhr.setRequestHeader('ApiKey','lRABmnmS_H1Ej9yaowxqwEsuBbkxkgrzx-C1Jji_HfnJyKywR8NeuSkIJbhutfNg');

xhr.onreadystatechange = function ()
{
if (xhr.readyState == 4 && xhr.status == 200)
alert("File uploaded!");
}
xhr.send(body);
}

beginQuoteFileUnquoteUpload1(formData);

******************************Result**********************************

-----------------------------7da24f2e50046 -----> Ok Content-Dis name="file";filename="servlet.pdf" Content-type: application/pdf

---------------------------7da24f2e50046-- Content-Type multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------7da24f2e50046 ----> OK

==================================================================================================================================================

The second Solution does work because the firewall blocked me because I don't have the same boundary below the method and results.

var formData = new FormData();
formData.append('file', document.getElementById('file').files[0], document.getElementById('file').files[0].name);
function beginQuoteFileUnquoteUpload(data)

try {
xhr = new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP");
} catch(e) {
xhr = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
}else{
xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
}else{
alert("Votre navigateur ne supporte pas l'objet XMLHTTPRequest...");
return;
}
var url ="https://gedcreditor.mycloud.by/GEDCREDITOR_01_06/ws/rest/sendemail/";
url+=document.getElementById('file').files[0].name;
url+="/a/a/a";
xhr.open("POST", url, true);
xhr.setRequestHeader(

//xhr.setRequestHeader('Authorization','Bearer ' + JWTtoken);//Our test server does not accept JWt, once we use AXA server, we will test the JWT
// xhr.setRequestHeader('ApiKey','lRABmnmS_H1Ej9yaowxqwEsuBbkxkgrzx-C1Jji_HfnJyKywR8NeuSkIJbhutfNg');

xhr.onreadystatechange = function ()
{
if (xhr.readyState == 4 && xhr.status == 200)
alert("File uploaded!");
}
xhr.send(data);
}

beginQuoteFileUnquoteUpload(formData);
******************************Result**********************************

Preferred Solution: IE11 : Content-Type = false in IE11 it doesn't work

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I recently bought a new Win 8.1 PC. After a couple of days the icons for IE changed to a magnifying glass and is now called "Search". On opening it a totally empty browser window appears but when I type a URL nothing happens at all.
The IE tile in Metro seems to have disappeared as well.
I have tried turning it off and then on again in Uninstaller to no avail.
I ran sfc_/SCANNOW in a Command window but no problems were reported.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
I would be grateful for any advice on reactivating IE11.

Also check programs and features, turn windows features on or off and check the box is ticked for Internet Explorer 11. Click ok.

Hello to all the Forum helpers here. I have a problem with Windows Update trying to install IE11. When I built the comp I had IE8 installed. Apparently Windows Update has tried to install IE11. I don't usually use IE for browsing, since it is usually slower and a clunker, so I didn't give much thought when it "Updated" and didn't know it was trying to update IE from 8 to 11. As I have been searching this issue, apparently, I didn't uncheck the "Automatically Update to newer version of Internet Explorer" in help/about. Apparently it was coming through updates as "Important Updates"? to automatically download & install? I would like to have IE working again as some websites do not work properly without it. Have had serious issues with IE in the distant past when running 98se. I'm new to this forum and haven't used mspaint in years to try and post screenshots. Please be patient with my responses. Thank you.

I'm starting to have a lot of problems with IE11 and O365... time for an update???  The latest one, and the most critical, is that I'm trying to insert or embed an O365 video from the video portal, and it isn't visible in IE11. Works great in Chrome,
but we just went through a long battle to get everyone to use IE11 as their default browser.  Now I feel like we have to tell them to use Chrome AGAIN, which isn't going to go over well. A couple of days ago, I was having problems with the new list interface,
adding text to a rich text field and the ribbon disappeared... again, works great in Chrome. IE11 definitely has bugs !

I have 7 email accounts on our Exchange server for different business and personal roles.  I have always used OWA instead of Outlook to segregate accounts on my desktop.  For quick logins I have been using "Keyboard Express"
Macro program  to insert USER and PASSWORD into OWA.   With some update applied in December 2015, Keyboard Express no long works on most of my Macro hotkeys because the IE hotkeys have taken precedence.  Such as ALT-H and other.
This same think happened to IE11 when I ran the Windows 10 upgrade 2 months ago, so I restored Win7 with a disk image to get rid of Window 10.
Is there a way to assign precedence between a Macro Program and IE11 Hotkeys ?

anyone seen this one?
on booting up 8.1, lenovo z410, the first few attempts to use IE11 from the desktop fail. "cannot open page".
connection troubleshooter produces nothing.

go to APPS > IE and it works fine.

after using chrome and the tile app for awhile, IE11-Desktop will gain coherency and start working.

is there a way to reinstall the desktop side?

this is a clean install with little/nothing loaded on it, about to be deployed for real work so its important.
I've never seen this issue before on 7/8 so kinda lost/bewildered

Answer:IE11 Desktop fails connection. IE11 Tile App succeeds

Maybe can not get that page immediately, try setting blank page for start-up. (about:blank) and than as a start page.

Good Afternoon,

I am running into issues trying to upgrade to IE11. It looks like there are several issues in my CheckSUR Log, but I am not sure how to fix them. I have ran SFC /scannow a couple times and no errors have been identified. I have been having this problem for a couple months now and have just been using Chrome. I have also had several issues with the Aero Effects and Themes as I have to troubleshoot that multiple times a day.
I am receiving error code '3FD' from Windows Update regarding IE11.

Attached is my log.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Answer:IE11 Update/Install Issue - Trying to Upgrade to IE11

hello and welcome skohon now personally I would download IE11 Download Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 from Official Microsoft Download Center - it says on my machine I already have it if yours does the there is something quite wrong.

If it is not on your machine then you save the above to downloads and then do what is in this Install or uninstall Internet Explorer - Windows Help

I have done this myself on odd occasions and it saves you having to muck around with updates.

First you might like to run this though in safe mode if necessary
Disk Check and run the /f and /r switches if necessary.

I have tried to access or restore the content advisor in several different ways but it has not worked. I tried using regedit to type in the suggested 'RunDll32.exe msrating.dll,RatingSetupUI' but this did not work, and I found out on a few sites that this option does not work with windows 7 home editions. Then I tried opening the registry editor and going to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main' to create a DWORD for ShowContentAdvisor. However I could only get as far as the Policies tab - Microsoft, and there was no option for Internet Explorer! Under Microsoft there was MRT, SystemCertificates, and Windows. Any other ways to do this??

Answer:Content Advisor Missing Windows 7 IE11

Have you tried the way outlined at the following link? There should be no need for registry edits or policies.

I have a number of .mht files created some time ago (approx 2 years) with IE11 (.mht files are a specific IE format for saving a web page as a single file).
Now IE11 won't work with these files. IE just gives the message "Internet Explorer has stopped working".
But if I load the files onto an old XP machine (with IE7), they load absolutely fine.
I'm guessing that some (security) changes have been made to IE11 that have affected its workings.
I've googled for a solution / ideas, but no joy. Anyone here got any thoughts?

Hello Developers,

I am displaying a PDF on IE11 using the content disposition method and IE11 is displaying it fine.
Also i am passing the filename.But when i try to save the pdf the filename should appear by default in the save as dialog but it is displaying the last part of URL as file name.
Disposition Value used - "inline"
Please let me know if this bug can be removed from IE11.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with Internet Explorer and they way it handles opening file from the Internet. Sometimes it gives a prompt like this:

Which is great, I want to turn this on for all common document types (e.g. PDF, Word Docs, Zips). What I've found is you have to either untick the option 'Always ask before opening this type of file', or delete a registry key in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute
When I check my PC I find I don't have that option and the registry keys aren't present.

Could someone clarify this for me? I'm running IE11 and Windows 7.

Thanks
Dave

Answer:Always ask before opening this type of file - IE11

Hi,
In Windows 7, there is no the key AttachmentExecute by default. For this reason, Checkbox for "always ask before opening this type of file" is missing in the Download prompt window.
Actually, you can choose to add this key in your Registry by following txt, Copy them to notepad, then renamed as .reg file. After that, import to Registry.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

After IE11 is being installed by many teachers, they pull up yahoo or google and do a search. After the search results are displayed, we can no longer type in the search box now. Tried activating compatibility mode for the site. Also cannot select some drop
downs on certain sites. HELP! Have over 400 pc's we manage. Any thoughts?

Answer:Cannot type in search boxes on IE11

Hi,
Firstly, we need to check the following:
1.  Do you mean the issue is only occurred on yahoo and google website?
2.  How about other browsers? Do they also meet the same issue?
Based on your description, I would like to suggest you try the following to check the issue:
1. To get the latest adobe flash player
Download and install the latest flash player on your computer by visiting the link below.
Install Adobe Flash Player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
2.  Run Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter.
The Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check for any performance issues which are common with the Internet Explorer on the computer and

provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these steps and run the troubleshooter.
a. Press ?Windows Logo? + ?W? keys from the keyboard.
b. Type ?Troubleshooting? in the search bar and press ?Enter?.
c. In the ?Troubleshooting? window, click on ?View All? on the left pane.
d. Click on ?Internet Explorer Performance?.
e. Click on ?Advanced? and then click on ?Run as Administrator?.
f. Click ?Next? and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
3. Run IE with no add-ons as Rob said. Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (with no add-ons).

4. Reset Internet Explorer settings

I've built a VM in Hyper-V to deploy to five PCs, but when I go to my Office 365 admin page using IE11: I'm unable to see the page content:

As you can see, the page has loaded, but everything below the black header bar is not showing, neither is the tab bar that should run vertically down the left of the page.

I thought this was a Hyper-V problem, but going back to an earlier point in the build shows it's fine.  In fact it's okay up to the point just before running SysPrep.

My next Checkpoint is after SysPrep and first OOBE boot, taken at the point where the 'Hi there' screen prompts you to confirm regional settings:

At this point, if instead of completing the OOBE set-up, I press Clt+Shift+F3 to enter Audit Mode once more, I'm logged on as the built-in Administrator account and the problem's not there. If, however, I do complete the OOBE set-up and log on as
my user account (admin), the problem's there.  So something's happening between the start of SysPrep and first user logon, but I don't know what it is or how to fix it.

I'm not sure that entering Audit Mode again after running SysPrep undoes any or all of the changes specified in my Answer File (it's a pretty simple one) so I don't know if it proves anything, but I've tried running Sysprep on a basic VM without the '/unattend'
switch to see if it's the same, but SysPrep failed.

IE11 seems to work fine apart from this fault, but I haven't rea... Read more

Hi there

This post might be a bit "Geeky" so skip if you aren't interested.

I downloaded a FREE Laptop trial version of SAP (a great learning tool for perhaps one of the largest ERP companies out there) to test and learn a bit about the programming language used by SAP (Called ABAP). The software is FREE and the licence can be automatically renewed for 90 day extensions "ad Infinitum" so this is in NO way "Mickey Mouse" software.

Since some independent consultants who have any knowledge at all of this stuff can currently earn anything from 700 - 2,000 EUR a day it seems a good platform to do a bit of Home training on.

The download (ABAP 7.5 Netweaver) can only run on a Linux Host but it installs essentiallly with "1-click"

SAP Development Tools

Now you install the front end (or the GUI --SAPGUI) on a Windows system --no problem there either.

problem is when I use any application that requires launching the web browser - I get Certificate error --not a problem as you can skip that although strange that it regards my local intranet - i.e the Linux system where I've hosted the SAP system as having a potential security problem with the certificate.

OK you can click go to website -- no problem.

Windows 10 just pops a login screen but won't do anything -- with a message in the status line "Javascriptvoid(0)"
Windows 7 works fine

I'm trying to retire my W7 VM - so any idea how to enable the javascr... Read more

I have following add-ons installed for Tracking Protection in IE11. (Please see the image below.)

I have a question that do these multiple add-ons affect the speed and performance of IE in any way or they are here only for the good purpose and nothing bad.

I mean when we use adblock extension for Firefox/Chrome, it shows a impact on the browser's performance. Is it the same here for IE too?

Can I happily have these add-ons (as shown in image) in my IE? Please suggest.

Answer:Effect of Add-ons (Tracking Protection type) on speed of IE11.

I haven't experienced any drawbacks of the performance and stability of the browser while using such addons. Indeed I used to face incomplete blocking of ads in certain webpages.

Hi,

I inadvertently deleted some files and folders in my user directory when attempting to clean up some temp files. I think that I restored all the deleted files, but I had to reinstall my smart-ups software and replace all the application icons on the quick launch and in the start menu.

The only issue I have left to resolve at this point is IE11 remembering website passwords. When I login to a website such as the Seven Forums, when I click in the user name box, my user name will appear, but when I click in the password box, the password doesn't appear as it used to. Now I have to manually retype the password each time I login. I do get the pop-up bar at the bottom of the page that asks if I want IE11 to remember the password each time, but for some reason the remembered password isn't there the next time I attempt a login.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Regards

Answer:IE11 doesn't remember passwords

I resolved this issue by completing a repair install of Win 7.

Hi. If I uninstall Internet Explorer 11 through control panel the uninstallation finishes but it doesn't fully remove IE11. It leaves the PC running IE9 but unable to reinstall IE11 because it thinks it is still installed. I can resolve this by using the
Microsoft Fixit site for problem installs and uninstalls, the tool finding IE11 still even though control panel doesn't. What I want to know though is what the fixit tool did to clean up the IE11 uninstallation so I can prepare a script to automate it on a
number of machines. Can anybody enlighten me?
Thanks

Just noticed that clicking on this option doesn't open it in file explorer like it does on my Windows 7 machine. I can browse my FTP drive fine from within internet explorer 11. It's not a major issue as I can type the address in file explorer and get it that way. It's just a little frustrating this option doesn't work. Anyone else notice the same?

It seems using file explorer to navigating to the internet ftp location is the only way to do this this in WIN10. It will not work from within IE11.

In IE11, Yahoo mail's list of folders is present down the left side of the browser window, but the major window for the mail is blank.

In Chrome there is no such problem, all mail is listed.

What might be wrong in IE to cause this?

I've been forced to go back to Windows 8 to get the Internet and WinLiveMail to work consistently.

In Windows 8 they both work seamless using IE10. In 8.1 they are so inconsistent it is impractical to use this version of Windows, even after discussions with Microsoft tech support to sort out the problems with IE11.

Emails won't send, sometimes even after a reboot. WLM frequently can't connect to either Yahoo Mail or my ISP.

IE11 will open some sites some times, and all sites other times. FireFox is the same.

After weeks of experiments and reloads I've finally given up and will use 8 until 8.2 comes out.

Update: In another thread HERE, I explained how I had spoken to MS tech support and they gave me an alternate DNS address to use, but it didn't fix the problem.

Then in another thread, HERE, I discovered a different DNS address from the one I was given by MS.

I put the address in via this pathway:

Workaround: Go to --> Control Panel --> Network and Sharing Center --> Changer adaptor settings --> Right click: Ethernet icon --> Properties --> Networking tab --> Highlight: Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) --> Click: Properties.
Leave "Obtain an IP address" on auto.

Dot: Use the following DNS server address.

Type in the address:

Preferred DNS server: 208.67.222.222Alternative DNS server: 208.67.220.220

The new DNS seems to have fixed the problem and all web sites are opening normally, and very fast.

I was doing reasonably well with Windows 10 after doing a clean installation. There have been some problems with third-party software, but that's not entirely unexpected.

However, since the 1511 update, IE11 and Chrome don't work very well. Chrome is slow and won't load some images, and IE11 often won't even load a page.

(To answer what is probably an obvious question, Edge has no trouble loading pages and does so quickly. However, it keeps downloading some kind of adware from various sites without permission, and that's unacceptable.)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:IE11 and Chrome don't work after the 1511 update

Reinstalling those two, specially Chrome can help a lot. Some even report that Chrome wouldn't work at all after that update.

I have been having issues with my windows 7 (64-bit) laptop for a few weeks. It seems the problems began when I downloaded Open Office and accidentally acquired a new toolbar. Removed that, but other problems have cropped up.

Most notable problems: Various control panel functions don't work, such as uninstall programs and turning on and off the firewall. Also, the IE11 browser will open and promptly shuts down. I've tried to download a new version, but I get a message that I already have a newer version installed. I've used Glary Utilities Pro to attempt to uninstall my current version of IE11, but it doesn't appear in the list of programs.

I have run various anti-malware programs: MalwareBytes, Malware Bytes Chameleon, Super Anti-Spyware, Windows Defender, and nothing comes up in the results. Today I ran a scan with ADW Cleaner and it found a couple of items (ie Flash Player Pro).

I'm not sure where to go from here but would appreciate some input. Thanks!

Answer:Windows Corrupt? IE11 and Control panel items don't work

1. install some Anti-virus program, or perform scan using eset online scanner or bitdefender free online scanner

after that:

2.Run CMD as administrator and enter:

Code:

sfc /scannow
4.If it finds windows files integrity is compromised.

5.enter the following commands:

Code:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
This command will then download damaged windows files from windows update and fix your windows.

NOTE: You can copy paste the above commands

(NOTE:  Links open in a new tab.)
In the TechNet article
here I see reference to a schema v.2 for the EMIE tool. It will apparently spit out the xml using the new version 2 of the schema. But the download link only goes to downloads for Win7/8 (schema v.1), and I cannot find any reference to where I can obtain
the Windows 10 version.
For example,
this article specifically references a Windows 10 version, where
this one references Windows 7 and 8.  Finding the Windows 10 version has proven impossible so far.
We have several sites which need to be opened in IE instead of Edge, and using our old Enterprise Mode site list is not working on our Windows 10 clients.
Current site list example:
<rules version="4">
    <emie>
          <domain exclude="false">www.contoso.com</domain>
    </emie>
</rules>

Etc.
Reading about the
v.2 schema leads me to think that the output from the tool is incorrect.  The documentation suggests that the output for Windows 10 should be:

<site-list version="205">
  <site url="www.contoso.com">
    <compat-mode>IE8Enterprise</compat-mode>
    <open-in>IE11</open-in>
  </site>
</site-list>

Or am I missing something here?

Okay I have tried to search for an answer to this problem without any luck. There are several similar issues but nothing that matches what I am seeing. The computer was reported to be running slow so I logged into the local administrator to have a look.
It didn't seem to be all that slow to me, until I tried to use IE11. The browser hadn't been used in this profile before so I got the first launch experience. I answered the prompts and waited for IE to do it's thing, which it appeared to do without any problem.
A second tab opened with the typical first launch options but then things got weird. The screen started flashing between panes and it looked like from tab to tab. I couldn't do anything so I closed IE in the hopes that it was a fluke and would go away. When
I opened IE again everything seemed good for about 5 to 10 seconds, but then a second tab popped up all by itself. This is important, I did not do anything to cause the tab to open, it did it all by itself! There was some flashing between screens and I don't
really know if I would have been able to brows or not. I tried closing the extra tab and at first I could not, but then it did close. A few seconds latter it opened right back up again. I updated MacAfee and ran a full scan but found nothing. Then
I tried to install Ad Aware but it failed. I may have to simply re-image this machine but it is possible that I may have several other machines with this same problem and I'd like to know if there i... Read more

IE 11 is the browser that currently frustrates me the least (doesn't 'not responding' that often)

Firefox is unusable: always having unresponsive script error causes it to hang forever, & cumsumes between 358-498 MB RAM (upgrade is not an option, this is a 3GB RAM Work laptop)

Comodo Icedragon is just as unusable: unresponsive script error happens less often, but cumsumes just as much RAM. Worse: trying to go to Any websites='cannot find server'

So anyone knows a better non-chromium browser? (chromium's multi-process architecture eats more RAM than firefox)

Answer:So is ie11 the best browser now?

I have IE11 installed, but rarely used.

Windows and IE are [still] deeply intertwined.
"There are many components that constitute the [IE] browser. Most of the components are part of the operating system..."
Applications other than Microsoft's IE can, and do, call on those components to display HTML or execute scripts. "If you aren't upgraded to the current version of IE, you won't be able to apply the current security updates. This could result in some Windows components not being serviced..."
http://www.computerworld.com/article/3021824/web-browsers/microsoft-upgrade-to-ie11-even-if-you-dump-our-browser.html
Bottom line:   Update to IE11 (on systems which allow it; e.g., Windows 7) even if you "dump" it in favor of Firefox, Palemoon, Chrome, Opera [or some other alternative browser].

Question: Locking down IE11

Hi All,

Thank you in advance for reading my post. I am having trouble locking down IE11 on Win7 Pro. Let me start off with my goal. I am trying to stop the users on stand alone machines (No AD) from typing URL?s into both the IE?s ?Address bar? and the Start Menu?s
?Search/Run? box and going to their websites of choice while still giving them the functionality of Tabbed Browsing. I have created Links to allow them to go where they need to go.

I also have a Web Proxy server in play, but due to the nature and the way some websites are built, I can?t be too restrictive with it, otherwise some of the websites I do need to go to won?t load or function correctly as they themselves call upon other websites
to work.

Question: IE11 vs. Edge

Does anyone know of a good source that explains the difference between IE11 and Edge? Pretty much all I've gathered is that Edge isn't as compatible with as many web-sites as IE11. Why the introduction of a new browser? Why isn't it more compatible?

Answer:IE11 vs. Edge

Browser Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 10)

IE has become a failure and MS is trying to start over with a new browser, Edge. This is a ground up design of a new browser and it's looking good right now for a browser that's only about a year old. I've been using it for some time and it's been a good experience for me at least.

Windows 7 is not supposed to have IE11, but mine does (not of my doing).

Big problem. IE is a browser I never use, but can't get rid of. Something got into my system. It launches IE behind my back. I have to use task manager to get rid of it. But it never launches it just once. Each browser launched seems to browse on its own to a variety of sites. Many of them are sites I've been to and have no reason to suspect.

I can only get rid of them by deleting the iexplorer.exe process. All of them. I can't get rid of the application in task manager, so I have to go after the processes. One by one.

So I did all I could to damage IE. Can't reinstall, because I'm told I have a newer version. But for Windows 7, IE 11 isn't supposed to exist, but that's what I have. I denied it the right to launch. In every way I could, I tried to remove all aspects of IE. But now, I'm getting browsers launched that say "blank page", so I guess they're not going anywhere, but I'm getting DOZENS of them now. I gather that means it can't connect anywhere (I hope), but in response it keeps launching many times.

Even when I'm offline, it sometimes launches IE, but not often. On or offline, my mouse can suddenly stop and I'll hear two tones. A few seconds later, it's back with the tones reversed.

As I remove the launches now, something erases my whole desktop. I can use any open programs, but everything else is in... Read more

This is absolutely not correct! Windows 7 does support IE11. All of my Win 7 PCs have IE11 installed. Since you possibly have been breaking your Windows 7/IE11 installation by whatever actions you are taking, I suggest that you reinstall IE11. For any help you require with IE11 and Windows 7, I suggest that you post in the Software Forum.

For any real malware problems that you think you may have, you need to run the READ & RUN ME FIRST cleaning process. See the pinned/sticky threads in the malware forum.

Question: IE11 Menu Bar

Hello everyone,I'm probably missing or overlooking something here but for some reason, I cannot get the menu bar to show up in IE11 (the toolbar with File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help). I know to show it, it's possible to right-click beside the tabs in IE11 and click "Menu Bar" to show it but when I right-click, it doesn't show any toolbars to show. I also know the little trick to temporarily show the toolbar by opening the Start menu, typing in the textbox "internet explorer" and holding Alt and clicking the internet explorer icon to launch it (which also does not work). It seems no matter what I do, I cannot get the toolbar to appear. I have the Favorites bar shown (which I could ONLY get it to show by adding a site to the bar). Even now with the Favorites bar showing, I have no way of removing the Favorites bar. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Greatly appreciated! Windows 7 32-bitInternet Explorer 11Edit: Moved topic from All Other Applications to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Answer:IE11 Menu Bar

I was successful once or twice by pulling a middle school play out of the playbook; I copied.  Using another computer with great working IE, found all the directories involved with IE, copied the directories onto external media 'cause I was booted in Safe Mode. moved the external media from computer w/great-working IE to computer with not-good IE, and copied etal from ext media onto Safe Mode booted compute. Now, just before all that copying, I ran windows repair (all in one) along with a couple of utilities that reRegister IE files.  After all that copying, I ran the WR(AiO) [Safe Mode with Networking] again.  Sometimes that works.  Sometimes, a rollback is also needed.

I'm planning an automated roll-out of IE11. Maybe I'm missing something but it appears to me that MS haven't been very helpful with providing us with a package that will minimize the disruption to end users.
Here are my observations thus far.
1. After installing IE11 Enterprise mode wasn't available. After a lot of digging I found out it only

comes with certain versions. If you download the IE11 installer direct from MS (as of August 31 2015) and deploy it you won't get Enterprise Mode until you install an upgrade patch.
2. Upgrade KB2929437 will enable Enterprise Mode. However, it comes as an MSU file which, unlike a conventional updates doesn't extract to a CAB file. So this is not IEAK friendly.
3. From my own experience and that of
others who used IEAK 11 to create an MSI installer, it appears the per-requisate updates I've set to install before the IE11 install are ignored. The installer still tries to update via the Internet
4. When the IE11 pre-req patches are installed a restart is needed before the IE11 installer can kick off (same
post as above).  This makes an automated deployment very difficult.There is a suggestion of using DISM in the post above but there isn't consensus that you can get away without restarting.

Question: IE11 update for w7

on windows update on our w7 starter netbook keep getting importatant update IE11 for w7 downloads ok but will not install tried sevral times over several days no joy. other updates are ok.
wondering if its not suitable for for a netbook but if so why is it auto windows update?
use chrome as default browser but like to have all running smoothly.

Answer:IE11 update for w7

Do you mean it is the update to IE 11 which will not load. ie are you still running IE 10 and trying to update to IE 11 or is it an update for an existing IE 11 already installed. IE 11 runs fine on my netbook, an original Samsung NC-10.

After playing a game on DOSBox, I got onto Internet Explorer (version 11) and somehow, hitting F11 wouldn't go into full screen. I went to tools icon (the gear on the upper right hand corner), file, and clicked full screen and still wouldn't worked. I don't what I pressed whether it was before, during, or after playing on DOSBox but did something to it. Anyone has ideas on what happened that caused it and how to fix it? Thanks!

Answer:IE11 would not go into fullscreen.

First thing I'd do is reboot, see if DOSBox is holding something in memory, give things a clean start.

i am trying to do a reset of IE11 and when I clicked the reset button and checked delete personal settings and the click reset, I restarted my computer and when I clicked on Internet Explorer after it came back up and went to facebook, it showed me still being logged in, how should I go about fixing this problem

Answer:IE11, not resetting

Do you remember seeing four green checkmarks after reset ?

Boot or shut down is usually not necessary but shouldn't hurt anything.
After all of your questions I'm starting to believe you have a (Webroot Secure Anywhere) issue,
I read and posted to a person where this security was flagging Windows snipping tool as a security risk and blocking it's operation.

have windows 7 x64 bit OS and 16GB ram. I used Ie8 before and it printed
without any issues on either printer. When I upgraded to IE9 or IE10, I get an
error when trying to print - "An error has occurred in the script on this page.

not print on either printer of HP Laserrjet1015 and HP 8600 pro. I don't get any
error message. I have the latest printer drivers for both printers and the
latest video drivers as well. I have tried a lot of techniques and nothing seems
to have fixed the printing issue on IE11.

This is what I have done:

I have checked that the folder of the temp folder has the folder

ran IE 11 without any add ons, cleaned out temp files, and still not able to
print.

I just tried this technique of

Type following command and press ENTER:ICACLS

Answer:Not able to print anything from IE11

See here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973479
There's automated Fixit tools you can run for several of the stages so use those.

Reinstalling the printer may also help and it looks like the driver is available through Windows Update: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/si...x.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken
Just remove the printer from the Devices & Printers section and unplug the printer and plug it back in to reinstall it.

Question: IE11 and gadgets

I uninstalled IE11 because it ruined my gadgets. IE10 is no option because it blows up in my system. So I am back to IE9 which is starting to be inconvenient because many sites don't support it any more.

My question is whether anybody found gadgets that work with IE11. The one I really need is the CPU meter. I can live without the analog clock and the weather gadget.

Answer:IE11 and gadgets

I've seen Greg recommend 8GadgetPack - Gadgets for Windows 8 / 8.1

We've just bought a new computer installed with Win8.1 and IE11 but there are no tool bars on Internet Explorer - the menu bar which usually says 'File Edit View etc.', no search window either - just an url window.
We've tried F11 and pressing the Alt key which, I understand is necessary on Win 7 but still the toolbars don't appear. IE11 is useless to us as it stands at the moment so we've installed Firefox but I was wondering whether anyone knows how to sort out IE.

Answer:No toolbars on IE11 Win 8.1

ChrisAnnSen, it sounds like you're using the newfangled Windows 8 "app" version of IE. To give you access to the more familiar "desktop" version, do this:
On the Windows 8 Start Screen (with all the big coloured tiles) right-click the Internet Explorer one then click on the "Pin to Taskbar" option at the bottom of the screen. Switch to the Windows Desktop and you'll see a big blue E icon on the Taskbar and that'll launch the version of IE you want.

Question: IE11 Crashes

For a variety of reasons I switched from Firefox to IE11 four or five days ago.

I get frequent IE crashes when I search from the address bar (my default search engine is google); I do not crash from google.com searches. I've read elsewhere that google and IE don't play together very well.

Yesterday & today I got crashes at other sites as well, including the bing toolbar download page. I would think that IE and bing would be able to play together a bit better than google!

Does anyone know a fix for this or is it just one of those facts of life? Should I revert to IE 10? If so, any tricks to doing that?

Answer:IE11 Crashes

i have had problems with it freezing up in the past, so the best solution i found was to downgrade to IE10 its works faster and more effieient

A few months ago I wrote about problems with my IE11 and was told to revert to IE10 because IE11 was not 100% stable yet. So I have been using IE10 since then. There is one particular site (CBC News - Latest Canada, World, Entertainment and Business News) that insists on wanting to install Adobe Flashruntime every time I visit it with IE10 and I was wondering whether the need for IE11 had anything to do with it. I get no such message when I visit the same site with Chrome or Firefox.

I was wondering whether it is relatively safe to reinstall IE11 now; has it been fixed?

Answer:IE11 - to install or not

Hi,
Probably just your flash player settings or global setting,
You can make sure your at least using the current version of flash,
13.0.0.182

But ie11 is working quite a bit better,
But as always delete any cache flash has built up,

Hi Guys & Gals,
I upgraded to IE11 a couple of days ago.
Now, when I try to revise items in E.Bay, or write descriptions for new listings,,,, I don’t get the Format Ribbon, or the Standard/HTML tab, & the description is in html code.
I’ve been on to e.bay and they talked me into deleting temp files (I do regularly) & Cookies – all to no avail.
Things work in Firefox (though a lot slower) so I guess its down to IE11.
Everything worked normally in IE10.
As of yet, I haven’t noticed any other anomalies – but that’s not to say they aren’t there.
Any ideas how to get over this please ?

Answer:IE11 / E.Bay anomalies

Try tools, compatibility view settings and add the website, see if that works. If no different then remove the site and try with the box unticked for Use Microsoft compatibility lists.

Question: IE11 & PeopleSoft

We have upgraded from IE8 to IE11, and use Oracle/PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management or HR) application version 9.1 with PeopleTools version 8.53.20.

On a particular page within the PeopleSoft HCM application, after specifying employee and date search criteria, a grid will display the first 1 to 10 rows of employee data. The grid has an hyperlink to "View 100" rows in lieu of
the first 10 rows. IE8 returns these first 100 rows successfully.
With IE11 running in IE8 emulation mode, that same selection of "View 100" rows displays a "spinning wheel" in the top right hand corner of the browser. The wheel pauses spinning for about 1-2 seconds when the HTTP POST
method completes (noted using the development tools under the "Network" tab, after starting network traffic capturing), then the wheel resumes spinning with no additional data returned. It never renders / returns the first 100 rows in the
grid. I've used Fiddler to determine that the data in question is being returned following the HTTP POST.
Is this an issue with IE11 unsuccessfully emulating IE8?

Hello all,

I am trying to update my bookmarks/fav'e in IE11 so I open IE, file > import> import from file > browse > go to my documents > go to computer folder and there is almost nothing there. See screenshots. Obviously there is a lot there including my JSON file which i want to import, and have done may times before but today there is nothing else there. I tried checking different libraries etc, but no dice.

Why is this and can anyone help me figure out how to find the full listed folder?

Answer:I need help with importing fav's to IE11

In your first screen print in the bottom right you have HTML files selected in the dropdown.
Click on the dropdown list and select all files (or what ever choice you prefer).

Hi,
I am running win 7 and ie 11. I tried opening PC Advisor this morning and all I get is the cards all around the edge and a blank centre. This happens whether I follow the links in the news letter or browse to the site. I haven't been into ie settings and changed anything so it's not me. At the moment I am using Chrome to access the site but prefer ie as it's what I've always used and would like to make it work properly. Other sites still open correctly. Help Please.
Alan

Answer:cannot see PC Advisor in ie11

Hi, I know you posted this a couple of days ago but that's when I too had problems opening this site and I use Opera 12.16 as my main browser and occasionally IE 11 and just couldn't go anywhere on PCA, all other sites OK, now everything seems back to normal, so just a blip.

Someone may have referenced this before, but search didn't show anything, so here's the question, since win 10 was released, has anyone figured out why ie11 on both vista and win7 systems that are running ie10/11, does the browser flip in and out of black screen when starting - or on some sites you have to wait until it refreshes again before scrolling down/becoming stable to work with, it's not confined to just one pc but this laptop, my main desktop and the desktop at work, 1 & 3 run vista, 2 is win 7.

thanks for any insights
