Bluetooth 3.0 issue with Nokia PC Suite

Question: Bluetooth 3.0 issue with Nokia PC Suite

Hi,
i bought a new notebook a couple of weeks ago .. (HP Pavilion dv6-3177ee) running windows 7 home premium 64bit.
it comes with bluetooth version 3.
i installed ovi suite and pc suite .. but when i try to connect my phone via bluetooth , it gives me the next massege :
"Bluetooth is turned off or unavailable on your computer . Turn on Bluetooth or or refer to help ..."
I checked the bluetooth .. and its ON .. I tryed to send a file via blutooth to my phone and it's sent.

when I go in PC Suite to : Settings => manage connections => i find bluetooth unmarked .. when I try to mark it it gives the next massage:
"Cannot use the connection type.Check that all the needd hardware, software and drivers are available. (Code: OpenMedia)"

the blutooth device name is :
Ralink/Motorola BC4 Bluetooth 3.0 + HS Adapter
and I have the latest driver for it which is dated 11-2010 !!!! (version 3)
this is what I've tried :
I tried removing the ralink/motorola driver and make windows find a proper driver itself .. windows did find a driver but it didn't work ( it can't find other devices and other devices can't find the notebook )
can anyone help please...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Bluetooth 3.0 issue with Nokia PC Suite

I have similar problem of non-connectivity thru BT on my HP Probook. The laptop came with built-in Bluetooth. It connects to my Nokia E-72 thru the Windows BT Manager. But when i try to connect thru PC Suite, it does not. The PC Suite works fine with E-72 when i connect thru USB cable. Same was the story with Ovi Suite.

Connectivity of PC Suite was a convenience on Windows XP (my older laptop).

If anyone's got a solution, please let me know.

I went and bought a vista compatible USB bluetooth (bluesoleil), I also have a Nokia Mobile phone, and I needed to get a pic from my phone to my PC.

So I reinstalled Nokia PC Suite, updated it to the latest version. Plugged in my USB bluetooth, the drivers for the bluetooth were found.

But I kept getting error messages, please see attached zipped file of screen dumps and jpg's.

I managed to successfully copy the file from my mobile to my PC, but these error messages have me stumped.

Any ideas?

Answer:Bluetooth & Nokia PC Suite

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Looking at your file you sent, it appears that you have errors in the drivers, hazard signs also the picture , driver not found.
Maybe check again for updated drivers.
Does the USB have a letter or number allocated in Computers?

Answer:s10 Bluetooth with nokia pc suite

At least you got bluetooth with yours.   Here in the USA, they advertised they had bluetooth, and not one has been shipped with bluetooth.  The USA site even says bluetooth is available on select models, but no models have it.  VERY FRUSTRATING. Hope you get your issue figured out, though.

My T61 has bluetooth properly installed, but Nokia PC Suite can't found this bluetooth device. I re-installed Pc Suite and bt drivers, and I also tried with windows bt-drivers. PC-suite gives an error message: "can't find connection type" (translation). And now it gives this same message when I try to connect my phone with USB-cable. I found some solutions for other thinkpads, but they didn't help. Does anyone have this problem with T61?

I Have a SL500 with XP preload on it. All drivers are up to date via System Update and WIndows Update, my issue is this... Everytime I attempt to pair my laptop to my phone(N73), Nokia PC suite detects the phone as an available device, but when I click 'Next' to attempt to Pair it, a bubble appears in the bottom right of screen near the time, advising I have to type in the security code to allow the phone to connect. Even if I type in '123', the same as PC Suite is asking for, after a short while, PC Suite will advise that it was unable to authenticate the phone. I presume something in Windows is telling Bluetooth to be the 'primary connection software' rather than allowing PC Suite to do what it needs to do..?? The reason I ask in this forum, is because I have a T60 with the preload software on it and it works without issue. Am wondering if a setting somewhere on the Preload for this SL500 is different by default??  Any ideas.. Please help.

Hi there,

i would like to use GPS Navigation with my Nokia 6600 via Bluetooth GPS (Model Royaltek GPS x-Mini).
Prior usage i've to install the software on the MMC-Card of the mobile Phone via Nokia PC Suite (for Nokia 6600).

For BT i'm using the Toshiba SD Card 2 within Portege.

With the Toshiba Bluetooth Manager (3.20.01) i can discover and establish a serial connection via BT without problems.

When starting the Nokia PC Suite (that automatically "see's" the new BT Port ...) the connection failes.

Any idea ? Thanks ...

Answer:Portege R100 + BT SD Card 2 + Nokia 6600 with Nokia PC Suite ? NO CONNECT !

Hello

Unfortunately I can not give you a proper answer. The fact is that the Bluetooth works properly and notebook can communicate with the unit. Why the connection fails after starting Nokia PC suite is not easy to say.

In my opinion you should try to contact Nokia support. They have more experience with own software products and it is probably tested by Nokia. If you have a solution please let us know.

Good luck!

Answer:BSOD while Flashing Nokia Phone Using Nokia Suite

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs. Make sure that you let the app run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done).

The first step here is to check in Device Manager for the xHCI controller. If you find that it has errors, right click on it and select "Uninstall". If presented with a check box to delete the driver software, please check it. Then click on the "OK" box to remove it.
Reboot and see if the xHCI device still has problems. If not, wait to see if the system BSOD's. Finally, let us know what happens.

Update the drivers for your HSPADataCard USB Modem/Serial Device to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version. Your HSPADataCardusbnmea.sys driver dates from 2011 and is likely not compatible w/Win8.1

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are struckout don't have updates available (AFAIK).

Dear Gurus, First, I apologize if there is a mobile phone forum elsewhere
I seem to have got into a chicken and egg situation.

Using Nokia PC suite for file transfer from PC to Nokia 7520 supernova, my problem is the bluetooth works but the USB cable CA-126, doesn't!

Nokia PC suite can communicate with my nokia 7510 supernova using bluetooth which is painfully slow.

Nokia PC suite doesn't seem to find the mobile when I use the CA-126 cable for a USB connection.

Suspecting something wrong with USB I checked the XP USB hardware and got a list of 4;
generic USB CF reader USB device
generic USB MS reader USB device
generic USB SD reader USB device
generic USB SM reader USB device

According to XP the above are all working correctly.

I did note that when PC suite was installing it mentioned USB2. Using freshdevices, it lists
as part of the installed drivers
system32\drivers\usbport.sys description usb 1.1 and 2.0 driver

I tried to run 'driver whiz'. it sticks when it is listing and comes to generic sm usb reader.

Which leaves me where I started.

My only consolation, printer, scanner, mouse, webcam, all with usb connections work perfectly.

Help if possible to get me cable connected 7520 to PC

Bye and thanks

Fred

Recently installed Windows 7 build 7600.
After installing i updated the system using windows update by connecting to the internet via my nokia n70 usb modem by installing the latest nokia pc suite,
during the update it was working fine, but after i restarted the system and again tried to connect to net via same, the nokia one touch access kept on showing opening port and then nothing is happening.
I went to the network adapter setting and clicked on nokia n70 usb modem(OTA)
It shows error 711 that remote access connection manager(RACM) failed to start in time.
Then checked my services there i found that the dependencies of RACM ie secure socket tunneling protocol is not running. I tried to start the service but was showing that sstp starts when it is used by some specific program or else then it automatically turns off.
I am unable to solve this problem please help me.

The downloading and installation works perfectly but then it immediately says that it's not recognizing my Nokia Lumia Phone! They say elsewhere that there is a special app for the Lumia but this app is limited to music, pictures, videos, podcasts and
ringtones. So contacts, the most important for a Phone, is not even included. There are surely other makes where this is possible and where you can easily see and manage all contacts. On which cellphones this Nokia Suite is really working then?

Hello friends

what is diffrence between Nokia PC suite and Nokia OVI suite????

Answer:Nokia PC suite and Ovi suite

Ovi Suire is a more refined version of what PC Suite started out with.

More things are integrated into Ovi Suite than there was with PC Suite (Maps, Software updater etc previously launched as separate applications.

When getting map data using the Maps function you will be using your home internet connection UNLESS you've selected Connect to Web on Ovi Suite which will then use your phones internet connection.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Question: Nokia Pc Suite

I installed Nokia PC Suit about 6 months ago & all worked OK with blue tooth sending new info to my lap top from the nokia phone. About 2 months ago I suddenly had an error message on start up, so it did not work. I have tried to uninstall from control panel I get error message 1316 & will not remove the installation. If I try to repair it I get the message "the feature you are trying to uses on a network resource that is unavailable" I don't understand as I have not knowingly changed any settings. If I try to install I get the error message windows installer error 1706 & installer cannot continue. This was really useful when working, so I hope that some wizard out there can help.Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Answer:Nokia Pc Suite

What exactly was the error message?Have you looked in the Device Manager to see if there are any errors showing up?Start> right click on My Computer> Manage> Device Manager. You also may want to look into the Event Viewer to see what errors are showing up at the times that this is happening. All errors have a date and time listed.Start> right click on My Computer> Manage> Event Viewer. Be sure that you choose System. The error will appear in the far left column and will appear as a red dot with a white X inside. Each of the columns has a title at the top of them, the column that you want is the Event column. When you see an error follow it to the right across the page to the event column, there will be a set of numbers in there, this is the error code. If you right click on the error code a drop menu will appear, click on Properties, another page will open which will contain a description of the error. Please post the error codes and descriptions back in this topic.

Question: Nokia Pc Suite 5.8

i recently installed nokia pc suite 5.8 i know this isn't the latest version but the new version just doesn't seem to work for me. When i've finished installing cable drivers and the program itself the phone isn't recognised by the pc. Usually the first time you connect the phone to the pc you automatically get new hardware found and it starts installing the relevant drivers for the phone to be recognised by the pc.
Unfortunately this didn't happen for me . I tried restarting the pc many times but without success. So then i had the brainstorm of installing the drivers manually for my phone. I did this and the phone is now recognised by the pc ( it says data enhancement connected on the phone ) but when i try to use the program its says no phone connected.
Any help for me on this one guys?? i've been trying to fix this problem all day along with other stuff.

Hiya,I've searched other postings on this & no advice given seems to be applicable.I have a new Nokia 2720 to which I want to transfer pics & tones from my old 3120. I kmow I have the correct cables - CA-42 for the 3120 & micro USB for the 2720, as well as the necessary drivers. I have also downloaded & installed the correct version of PC Suite (7.1) which is supposed to be compatible with both phones. However, the software doesn't see either phone. The only clue I may have is in the form of a hint on the connection wizard that tells the user to ensure the phone is unlocked. Now according to Nokia support, this refers to the keypad & apart from uninstalling & re-installing PC Suite, Nokia support has been woeful. The connection trouble shooter advises to check the phone settings, but neither the software or phone manual tells you how to do this! I suspect that the "unlocked" referred to actually means that the phone has to be unlocked, not just the keypad. So before I run up my phone bill by talking directly with Nokia support, can anyone give me any idea of where to go from here.Cheers

I have three times used the usb connection to backup the contents of my nokia 6682 telephone to the nokia pc software.

All goes well, only each time I connect the cable between pc and phone, windows pop up noting the new hardware and I have to go thru the install process all over again before the program considers the two "connected".

Shouldn't the pc acknowledge the usb connection automatically on subsequent hook ups?

I mean, I shouldn't have to continually go thru those install screens, eh? They eventually load everything and when I click FINISH I'm connected and can backup my memory, etc, but this method is a pain.

Any thoughts?

thanks!!

so ive been on virtualdr crying about this and the good people sent me this way...

so i downloaded nokia pc suit 5.1...then i got a new phone which came with 5.8 which needed me to delete 5.1 before i could install 5.8

so i used the uninstall thing. still couldnt install newer version because old version still showing...so i used add remove programmes and it was still in there, tried to uninstall, blue bar only goes half way then it stops
so i delete the files from the folder in programmes files. still cant install newer version

so THEN when i turn on my comp it tries to reinstall nokia suite 5.1 - pisses me off a little bit, do a search for all files associated with nokia and delete - but still cant install newer version, 5.1 tries to install on loading...virtual dr peeps tell me to use a regedit programme so i see nokia and remove it, it stops trying to install on loading computer but NOW whenever i enter a web address in explorer and push enter it tries to download it and when i open a programme it tries to download!

all the while i cant install the newer version! i even tried re-installing the old version but i cant install anything nokia until i remove whats already there, and i cant remove whats already there!

any suggestions appreciated! THX!

Answer:Nokia pc suite is being a jerk!

Okay... I know someone who used to have some bad problems with this piece of software. I'll see what I can dig up.

The Virtual Dr's were right. I would download RegCleaner. When you run it, you should see a great list of programs you've got installed. Find the Nokia PC suite, check it, then click "remove selected". IIRC, that should remove any registry entries related to the program.

Once you've done that, go Start -> Run -> type msconfig. Make sure there is nothing in the Startup tab to do with nokia (that should have been removed by regclean anyway). Close it and Restart

Go to C:/program files/ and delete any nokia folder you come across.

Then go to
C:/Program Files/InstallShield Installation Information/
(its hidden, make sure you've turned on Hidden Files/folders. ) Select all the folders and delete them.

Now, open up Regcleaner again. Go Tools, Registry Clean, Do them All. Select anything to do with Nokia you see, and remove them.

Now, try installing the newer version of the PC Suite.

Hopefully, that should have removed all traces of the suite so shouldn't bug you in IE, but if not we can always look at a HJT log and remove it that way. But lets see what happens first.

On Win 2000 there is no msconfig. Admin tools/Computer Management/Startup Programs shows it as Nokia Tray Application. It is also in Running Tasks. It doesn't appear in Services & Applications/Services so I can find no way of stopping it loading on Startup.Any suggestions?

Hi all

I am trying to uninstall the above program but it gets to stage:

Unregistering COM applications and components

Where it freezes at 1% and then the pc will not respond to anything and I have to turn it off by the power button. I tried to uninstall it in Safe Mode but you can't.

Any suggestions?

Answer:Cannot uninstall Nokia PC Suite 6.1

How familiar are you with mucking around in the registry?

You can go through the registry and delete all the references to the program and then delete the program folder.

If you have a registry cleaner/fixer you may want to try running it then try to remove the program first.

Hi, Just installed nokia pc suite to allow my 6230 to communicate with my pc via a DKU-2 usb cable. Insofar as the phone software is concerned everything works fine however it seems to have interfered with my broadband modem settings as I can no longer log on to my server. I just get error message 721 PPP disconnected. I have a Wanadoo speed touch modem. It seems the only way I can log back on is to reinsatll my modem software. If I then decide to use the nokia program again I'm back to square one PPP disconnected. If I use the nokia software whilst I'm online it still clobbers my connection and the browser in unable to find any sites. Anyone have any ideas why the nokia pc suite is interfering with the broadband connection and how can I overcome this problem without having to reinstall my modem drivers each time after using the phone software. The only thing I can think of is that it is possible to use the phone as a modem so when I activate the nokia program perhaps the computer perceives this as the default modem and alters the settings?I'm using Windows 2000 Pro with SP4.

I'm having problems with the Nokia Data Suite program connecting with my 8310 over an IR link.
All has been going well I recently reloaded my system and everything was still working after that until a couple of days ago.
Now when I try to run PC-Sync, (Syncs with Outlook) the program gets this far

and then stops, after a few moments I recieve this error
Any suggestions on how I can fix this? sometimes the bar moves when Syncronizing the calendar, sometimes it doesn't, on very rare occations it completes it without any errors.

Also, when my phone is connected to my computer (again via IR), some of the programs will not open. The splash screen appears but thats as far as the program goes - however if I move my phone out of the IR Recievers range the program then continues to open. This is not a major problem but could anybody tell me why it would do this?

Hi,
I had both Nokia PC Suite and OVI suite running. When they were seeming erratic , I thought of upgrading.
I am not able to upgrade or uninstall/repair the existing version. It gets stuck with a registry key saying the access is denied. I tried to get it cleared from regedit , but it is some other key the next time. Wonder if there were hundreds! Is there some way which would solve it. Other softwares are installing properly , hence I presume no problem with Windows installer...

Answer:Unable to install Nokia PC Suite.

Hello,
In case of Registry keys which are intransigent (Unknown , no permission etc) , a way can be found by
changing the permission of the key. If there are many such keys , changing the permission of the parent key solves the problem. I could install Nokia related softwares without any issues thereon. The link is here
I have also reproduced verbatim the page.

Why Microsoft Lumia Doesn't have PC Suite Like Nokia ? Which is very useful. PC Suite was very great in features like
Accept, Reject and Text Reply for Calls from PC.
Send Received SMS from PC
But in Lumia PC features are missing even its associated with the hotmail account. some common and major classic features are missing like.
APPs are not installed on hotmail account its on the Device only
SMS are not sync
eMail forwarding attachment is not working.

Answer:Why does my Microsoft Lumia have PC Suite Like Nokia, which is very useful?

What is next? Complaining that you can't see incoming calls and messages on your TV screen while watching "The walking dead"?
I am glad that those cumbersome days of Nokia PC Suite are over! No longer do I have to look for my USB cable. No longer do I have to install proprietary software on a single PC in order to sync my phone, update contacts and so on.
Your Hotmail account is not a platform, so, installing apps on a Hotmail account doesn't even make sense!
Accepting, rejecting and text replying to calls from a PC may be handy for some people, however, why not laying your phone down in front of you while working on your PC? That works great, trust me! Doing it all the time! And, if the latest leaks can be trusted, texting from PC is coming ... !
I do not completely understand your "SMS are not sync" but, honestly, mine are! If you have the same Microsoft account on multiple phones and you enabled SMS Backup, you'll have the same message history on all Windows phones.
I don't know what your problems are with forwarding attachments but I do not have a problem with that either! Care to elaborate?
Just have a look how far the Windows platform has come! You no longer need to hook up your phone to a single computer in order to maintain your contacts. You no longer need to pair your phone to keep your calendar up to date. No longer do you have to worry about that your email is not in sync; they are the same on desktop laptop and phone - literally! No longer do you have to hook up ... Read more

Can anyone help....I am trying to connect my new Nokia 7610 phone to my pc (windows xp).
Have followed all instructions on the installation disk. I am using a DKU-2 USB cable which came with the phone.
All seems to go well with loading the cable driver and the pc suite except that I get a box up saying "there was a problem installing hardware and it may not work properly" well indeed it does not work at all. When I try to use I am told that a phone is not connected.
I have verifyed cable driver installation by checking Contol panel-system- hardware and device manager...... It shows that the nokia 7610 USB parent phone and Nokia 7610 USB OBEX are present. However it does not show Nokia 7610 USB modem AT.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled both cable drive and pc suite to no avail. Have also tried installing the pc suite via the web.
Any ideas?
I know the cable is ok as I have tried it at the orange shop. I know the phone is ok as I have tried someone elses computer who has pc suite and it worked ok.
Please help ....but please note i am only a beginner so you will need to give simple instructions. Thanks

I had Nokia PC Suite installed and no longer need it.
I used the Add/Remove Programs for the components but two strange things are left behind.

Firstly, although it appears to be no longer installed two Nokia entries remain in the Add/Remove Programs list but have no longer got a 'remove' option.

Secondly, a 'Nokia PC Suite' folder remains on C drive and I cannot delete it or open it even in Safe Mode.

How do I get rid of these?

Hi!

I've got a problem concerning the connectivity between my laptop and my Nokia 6110 mobile phone:
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite 1730CDT and does NOT have a built-in serial port. But I want to connect my mobile phone to the laptop, which is possible via the Nokia Data Suite 3.0 (NDS) - and only via the Nokia included DAU-serial cable! So I bought a USB-to-9pin-Serial converter from Xircom to plug the Nokia Data Suite 3.0 DAU cable into it. This converter device works wonderful and my Windows ME on my laptop recognizes the COM port properly. It even can emulate a DOS-COM port! Great hardware!!
But... during the installation routine of the Data Suite, NDS detects my mobile phone (Nokia 6110) properly, but the driver installation fails and NDS always tells me that the physical connection failed! The USB-to-serial converter works fine with my system and I've tried every COM-port with the NDS, but it won't accept the connection. Why is that so, and is there another solution for me to use NDS with my laptop?!
Thanks for any help!

Going thru my system, Windows 7 SP 1, and ran across the above. To my knowledge I use nothing involving Bluetooth. Is it ok to uninstall this? I have already uninstalled Dell WLAN Bluetooth Client with no resulting problems. The program's full name is Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth Suite 64.

Answer:Atheros Bluetooth Suite 64

Bluetooth is mainly used for wireless file transfer with smartphones but if you don't foresee using it then yes, you can uninstall it. It isn't part of Win 7, it was put there by the computer manufacturer for use with the networking hardware you have.

Hey guys, I recently bought another Trust BlueTooth 3.0 dongle to work with my laptop, running Windows 7 64 bit.
I bought one of these about 3 months but after this broke, (due to my miscare more than anything) I have been unable to use the replacement.
I have used the CD with drivers on to do so. This advises me to restart which I have done multiple times. When I do so there is no icon on the right hand side of my task bar showing bluetooth or that the adapter is recognised.
I have located the Bluetooth suite program, however when I run this it does not open, simply shows the loading circle and then no further action.
I have uninstalled bluetooth suite and reinstalled the drivers, however I am unable to locate the bluetooth dongle in the device manager at all...
Any help would be great,

I'm trying to upgrade Win7 to Win8. The compatibility checker flagged the Atheros BT Suite as follows: "Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 8."

I removed it using the program uninstaller. It appeared to finish cleanly and prompted to reboot. Then, Win8 says it's still installed and has to be removed manually.

Yup, the uninstaller left behind its program files, driver and numerous registry entries.

So, how do I manually remove the bluetooth suite?

Answer:Atheros BlueTooth Suite Won't Uninstall

Safe mode, regedit, manually search for everything Atheros related- you'll probably have to 'Take possession' of some of the keys, and you might run into the dreaded 'Trusted Installer' block.. hit the web for instructions to disable/modify that one. I had to do it just to clear out some extra cursor fluff I didn't want.

Answer:Windows 7 Enterprise Bluetooth suite download and install

Windows 7 includes Bluetooth. All you need is a USB Bluetooth transceiver (dongle). It costs about $5. Plug it into a USB port and 'pair' your hearing aids with the laptop like you did with your cellphone.

Hi, I'm new to these forums, hope some one can advise.

I have just installed the new RC version of Win 7 and getting to grips with it and along the way discovering which software or existing applications will run on/with the new OS, so far not that many problems and Win 7 has XP mode/virtulisation, a very good application but something to be wary of IMO.

My problem lays with my Nokia N 95 8gb phone.

There are no more firmware updates for my phone, but I use the Nokia software to make back ups of my phone contents to my PC, again no problems, under Windows XP home or under Win 7.

I have the most recent Nokia software but am running into problems under Win 7, my Belkin bluetooth dongle and my phone can no longer find each other.

What I do get sometimes is a window informing me some Bluetooth peripheral is missing or can't be found, basically there are some drivers missing but I'm not sure if it's in the nokia software/updater or Win 7, iIf I try to update drivers, I can't boxes are greyed out.

The next issue and I guess connected to the above and a lot more troublesome for me is I use my phone a lot as a camera and upload my pictures using a Belkin Bluetooth dongle, never had a problem until today,

I can not get the phone to recognise or connect to the dongle or vice versa under WIN 7, I cannot transfer a photo from my phone to my PC using Bluetooth, the phone informs me of a failed connection.

The dongle firmware has been updated.

Not a problem I thought, I'... Read more

I'm having problems connecting a nokia headset to a laptop via bluetooth. The laptop can see the headset, but when I click on it, then click connect it says that the headset is trying to connect to the pc and requires a pin (which I don't have). Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks,

I have just bought a Nokia 6230i and the person from the shop we bought it from said that it has an MP3 player on it, but in order to use it we need a bluetooth dongle. Now I have no idea how bluetooth works, so what am I supposed to do? Where's the best place to buy a bluetooth dongle, I know they are USB things but apart from that havent got a clue. Can USB's hold different sizes of music?Any help much appreciated!ThanksChar

Answer:Bluetooth dongle for Nokia 6230i

The nokia 6230i has 32mb of internal storage which is expandable by a memory card up to 512mb. In order to transfer songs from your pc you can connect in 3 ways: Bluetooth dongle, Infra-red or direct usb plug n play cable. By far the easiest to setup would be the direct cable first, infra-red second and bluetooth last. If I were you I'd purchase a cable and a 512mb mmc memory card if you wish to listen to music.

Hello all,
I just changed from a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to a Nokia Lumia 1520. Great phone, except that I am having major problems with its Bluetooth. For example, when playing audio files through either my car's Bluetooth audio system or through my notebook, I get signal loss and breakup. The same happened using a friend's Lumia 630 (just to be sure my new phone wasn't bust).
Would you say this is likely a hardware or firmware/OS issue?
Mart

Mart What's your car year and model? The reason I ask is to see what kind of Bluetooth it supports.
As for your notebook I honestly don't have a clue as to why.
As you can imagine Windows Phones Bluetooth works a tiny bit differently from iOS and Android. I would suggest heading to your Bluetooth settings then Advanced and check mark Use an Alternative Bluetooth Audio connection for Speech. Don't ask why just do it, it might help :P (yes I know it's not speech related but it modifies the audio so perhaps there's a chance it'll work.)

Answer:how do i connect my nokia 6280 via bluetooth

The nokia software is really not user friendly.Open the software and select the 'get connected' button. Follow the screen prompts.Next start the bluetooth manager, an icon will appear in the taskbar. With the phone bluetooth enabled under connectivity menu, right click the little bluetooth icon in the taskbar and select new connection. This will scan for and device and find the phone. Once found, allow the phone to accept the connection and give it a name such as 'Home Computer'This should do it...

So i've got a Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000, which comes with a bluetooth adapter. I installed the software, so now i can use the bluetooth. I tried connecting the headset to it, but it messed up where it had to install the drivers. I tried with another bluetooth headset i had and that one didn't work either. anyone know how to fix?

Answer:Nokia BH-903 bluetooth headset driver?

K, solved it. Note to anyone else trying to get nokia headset drivers, or someone with the microsoft mini bluetooth transceiver that comes with the wireless entertainment desktop 7000, just install the broadcom stack.
