Question: Razer DeathAdder and Razer Tarantula Windows7 64bit

I wonder if anyone knows if DeathAdder and Tarantula going to function if I install Windows7 64bit?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Here is an article from Razer. They state they will be offering windows 7 drivers before the Windows 7 launch on the 22nd. So I would have to say that they should work. The models you are inquiring about are on the list. Razer & Windows 7 | Razer - Windows 7 Updates

I run Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium

I've just recently started to get issues with my keyboard which has never bothered me with problems before.
It makes it difficult to type so I'll keep this short.

Keyboard is in fine state, no moisture or damage that I know of.
Problem appears at random intervals, no dependancy on speed of typing, can happen at random test-spam as well as letter by letter typing.
1. Keyboard becomes momentarily unresponsive (Never happend before, not even any significant delay)
2. Most of the time, after unresponsiveness comes self-replication of symbol/combination of symbols /function (backsspace, space, etc) pressed during "pause". It's either infinite and doesn't stop without new input from keyboard (as in changing windows doesn't help) or stops after a couple of dozen of symbols/functions.

Problem doesn't appear at all when I plug keyboard into my Laptop.

Now I will type to show how this works, I've been correcting all the previous sentences by making new input and then rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr(...)s

There, it got stuck on r and would keep going if I didn't press "s" (or any symbol really, functions don't stop it but can be stuck, like continuous backspace).
I'd love some help on this as I am rather avid gamer and having ke... Read more

My Deathadder is on strike, I think. Ok, I'll try to explain this as clearly as possible. (I'm computer literate, but not computer Einstein.) For Christmas, I received a brand new hard drive, which I had immediately installed. I upgraded from an old used 250gb to a brand new 1.5tb. Previous to the upgrade, my deathadder worked fine, no problems, no issues, no glitches, no bugs. After I upgrade to my new hard drive, everything but my death adder will work. For some reason, my mouse driver will not. I have tried all the basic trouble shooting steps. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, updated the firmware, updated my windows system. Multiple restarts later, nothing. I've even gone into BIOS and to make sure the USB legacy was enabled. (It was). Nothing. In another effort to trouble shoot, I hooked my mouse up to my spouses computer and ran the driver. It worked perfectly. So the problem is not the mouse. If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it. My system: Window's Vista (64-bit) New HDD: ST1500DL003-9VT16 (Seagate Baracuda) My mouse: Razer Deathadder Driver: 3.03 (up to date) Firmware: 2.45 (up to date) Can anyone help?

Hello there, basically I'm in a rage-mood at the moment because every time I go to download the Razer Deathadder Drivers 1.09 from Razerzone (Official Razer Website), the download automatically cancels and I have absolutely no control over it.

I tried downloading in Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer and I even downloaded an old Netscape to try it out.

I'm in dire need of the Firmware and Drivers but theres nothing I can do to download them..

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hello,
I first noticed this problem when i was playing counter strike source whenever i pressed my switch weapon button to switch back and forth between the too which I have binded to mousebutton 4 on my deathadder (either 4 or 5) it switched back to the same weapon twice then i tried to go back it will switch to last gun bun continues to randomly switch and while I was in a fight with another guy it switched from my main weapon back to my secondary. First I thot it was lag so I fixed my rates and restarted Steam, when I did this I noticed that I couldn't click on my desktop, tool bar or windows unless I alt-tabbed to them first. And when I open web pages when I press mouse button 4 and 5 it goes back and forth between previous and forward pages, It would constantly switch without me pressing it that much. I tried to unplug my mouse and clean out the USB port with dust off but my problems still occur. If you could help me that would be awesome because it is getting frustrating.

Thanks

You might want to try updating/reinstalling your drivers for it. Do you know which version firmware you have? There are three firmware updates posted for the Deathadder as well as two driver versions.

Hi folks,

I have a Razer Death Adder and it's pretty much my favorite mouse of all time. However, it's about a year old and apparently gunk is underneath the buttons, which is causing problems when I need to be "precise" with clicking, like in Photoshop or playing Call of Duty. I did some Googlin' and found a chap on YouTube that popped the top off his Death Adder in about 3 seconds and then just cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs.

Then at the end, he says there's more than one version of the Death Adder and some of them aren't that easy to take apart. He said maybe others require removing the mouse feet and there are screws there...

Now, I'm not surprised to learn that with my great luck, I got a variant which is a PITA to clean. The problem is that I can't imagine Razer would make it that difficult to clean a mouse. Plus I'm worried that if I remove the mouse feet, they won't adhere back on. I've also searched the product manual and Razer FAQ's to no avail. I figure someone here on MG has to have one of these things, too...

Don't shoot the messenger, but it appears you've answered your own question.

Unless you can get specific disassembly instructions for the model, version and serial # you own, you're rolling dice on whether you'll be successful in taking it apart and reassembling it or end up trashing the mouse.

If the gunk is visible in the spaces between the buttons, you may be able to remove what's showing using a very thin piece of wire and/or a can of compressed air.

Another thought: Is the Death Adder still under mfr. warranty? If the buttons are sticking and there are no obvious signs of abuse, it should qualify for an RMA replacement. This might be worth checking into.

Hope this helps.

Hello everyone

First I would like to point out that I didn't really had a clue where to put this question, but I figured since I'm using my mouse to play games with (mostly), I thought I would put it here.

Since a few days, my mouse is really acting strange. It happens to be that I can't hold down the Left mouse button. For instance: I'm quiet the counterstrike player and when I'm holding down my left mouse button in order to 'spray', it stops after a few shots. Another example: when I want to drag a file from one folder to another, I keep 'dropping' the file. Or when scrolling on a website using the left mouse button, it stops after a few secs. It's really weird, never had this problem before.

I'm not sure it this has anything to do with it, but I'm having this problem more and more often since I installed a game on my pc, a couple of days ago.

I'm using a Razer Deathadder.

Thanks!

Hi all, I was having some issues with a new mouse that I received. Yesterday, the first day of use, I plugged it in, installed Synapse and everything was dandy, played games and all with no problems (specifically LoL, if it helps). Today, however, when I plugged in it worked for a few seconds but then permanently stopped, although the lights stayed on. The same happens when I turn on the computer; the mouse is completely nonfunctional and not detected but the lights stay on.

Is there a fix for this? Thanks for any help in advance.

right click the exe file and set it to xp sp2. If no exe file there should be an inf file or you might even have autorun enabled.

So as the title says, when I plug in or plug out my razer deathadder, my computer will automatically go into a BSOD. ALL THE TIME. The only time this does not happen is if I plug it in before startup and after shut down. I have made a thread a while before, on the topic of random BSOD and there were multiple offenders which I believed WERE NOT the problem. Now, I do know the exact specific problem. I can recreate this problem any time I want to. The BSOD range from IRQL driver less or equal to, to ntfs.sys. The problem is WITH the mouse and my laptop. How do I fix this? I have tried both the drivers for the deathadder and the one labeled windows. The USB port works with other devices, iphone, cooling pad, etc. But, it seems to not be compatabile with the razer deathadder? THIS IS RECENTLY HAPPENING. I had no such problems like this before. More information can be given. But I pretty much described the cause, that I do not know how to fix.
EDIT: And also what is disk queue length and how can i lower it ( or raise) whichever is better?

Razer DeathAdder drivers were known to cause BSOD's a while back. If you have older drivers installed, this could be the cause. Please update your drivers from the Razer support website: Razer Support

Please remove Speedfan as one of it's drivers dates from 1995. FYI - there is a newer version available at the Speedfan website.

So I am looking at these two mice at the moment:

I'm a casual gamer that likes to have quality peripherals. I'm looking for a quality mouse to compliment a new keyboard (possibly Corsair K60/90).

The M60 is Corsairs foray into fps targeted mouse users. I'm not overly taken with the 'sniper' button on the side. A few reviewers have mentioned it can be hard to reach depending on how you hold the the mouse and hand size etc. Corsair generally make quality hardware though. It looks sturdy.

The Deathadder Black Edition appearance wise appeals to me (love black). However, it appears flimsier in design judging by pictures. Its previous incarnation gets rave reviews across the board so it is hard to ignore. They are both similar in price too.

With regards my grip, I think I am a cross between claw and palm but would probably adapt to either if necessary.

I always find YouTube a great resource for researching hardware etc although why they put so much emphasis on "unboxing" a product is beyond me! lol
Unfortunately, there are no shops near me where I can go and test them out.

I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have!

Ok, this is a long one. but i havent found any help even from my school tech administrators. and at razer support either. so ill suite this as best as i can.

First off, i have windows 7 home premium 64 bit. had it for about 1 month so far. and i got a razer deathadder mouse. installed all the drivers and firmware updater's. then i loaded up my game soldier front. played it for about 3-5 min and then screen freezes, blue screens, gives memory dumps. all that.

When i uninstall the drivers and just plug in play the mouse, it all works fine, no bsod's. so its clearly the drivers.

i went into the event viewer and found the stuff about the bsod's that got caused. and this is what came up.

Hello, i recently bought a Razer DeathAdder 3500DPI and i have been experiencing BSOD when i am playing a fps game called AVA. Sometimes i experience BSOD while just surfing the net.

I have the settings for 1000hz polling rate and 3500DPI.
Current Razer Driver: 3.0
Current Firmware: 2.33

I tried all three versions of the drivers, still causing BSOD: 2.0, 2.01, 3.0
newest driver 3.0: link

When i uninstall the razer mouse drivers and only use default drivers,
everything is fine and no BSOD.
Therefore i believe there are some compatibility issues with the drivers and windows 7 64 bit.

Hi! I am new to the forums but I'll get to the point. I am getting a Razer Deathadder 3500 DPI Gaming Mouse for Christmas from amazon.com. I am really excited about it but heard it had driver and firmware issues that could totally break the mouse. What should I do when I receive the mouse? Should I use the CD Drivers, plug in the mouse and then update them from razerzone.com? Should I install the drivers, plug in the mouse, then install the firmware? I made the mistake of buying this mouse, and luckily I managed to avoid using the Synapse 2.0 software that they pushed via Windows Update at me when I plugged the mouse in.

However it still installed drivers and apparently the mouse uses this .dll called 'RzCoinstaller.dll', whatever that is.

I still have an old Logitech bluetooth mouse I was trying to replace with this mouse... however I am considering chucking out the Razer due to Razer's hardware and software being rather overpriced low quality garbage and I worry about the drivers effects on my computer given the datamining scare with Synapse 2.0.

I intend to possibly replace it with a Steelseries Sensei or a Corsair Vengance M95 mouse, but how do I uninstall the Razer mouse safely without affecting the Logitech mouse? Cause apparently if a mouse still uses one of the drivers it will leave that driver alone if you uninstall via Device Manager?

I just want to be sure to get rid of Razer's drivers before I buy the next mouse first.

So anyone got a guide on this or...?

Answer:How do I uninstall a Razer Deathadder 2013 4G Mouse?

Hello IllusionaryInno,

how do I uninstall the Razer mouse safely without affecting the Logitech mouse?

The easiest way is to just unplug your Razer mouse and replace it with the Logitech one. Once the device isn't being used anymore, the driver won't be used either.

After switching mouses, you can do the following to remove the device and corresponding driver from your system;

Hit WinKey+X on your keyboard, and from the pop-up menu, select Device Manager. In the Device Manager, click on Mice and other pointing devices. In the drop down menu, right click on your Razer mouse and select Uninstall.A new window will pop up. In this window, click on Delete the driver software for this device. Now follow the on-screen instructions to remove the driver and restart your machine when asked to do so.
And that's it. Now the driver from your Razer mouse will be completely removed.
I don't know for sure with Razer, but you might also want to check the Programs & Features menu to see if there are any left over programs in there. To do so, hit WinKey+X on your keyboard, select Programs & Features from the pop-up menu and scan the list for any Razer software.
If found, right click the entry and select Uninstall. Then follow the on-screen instructions and restart your machine afterwards.

At first I thought it was just a problem with my mouse but my roommate who has the same mouse is having the same issue. For some reason the scroll-wheel on this mouse is not responding properly. When I scroll up or down it sometimes skips the wrong direction (I.e. if i scroll down it will go up about half the time making it very imprecise and take twice as long). This has only started happening since I've had Windows 7 installed (my roommate is also using Windows 7)

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue with Windows 7 and the Razer Deathadder mouse. It's pretty annoying and I'm almost at the point where I'm just going to buy something else.

I am not a gamer and work on laptop. I go mobile rarely and use laptop as desktop computer because it is more convenient than desktop PC.

I bought Razer DeathAdder Black Edition because i was told that it is better for office work since it offers "palm rest" in ergonomics while still thinking about Logitech Marathon m705. The price difference was $23 more for DeathAdder. m705 has 3 years warranty and DeathAdder has 2 years.

I read reviews on Amazon that m705 has mouse wheel that requires pressure to click and also accidentally scrolls as you click. I read reviews on DeathAdder Black Edition as well that tell the firmware causes mouse to stop operating or bricks mouse.

Did i make mistake by paying more for Razer just for ergonomics and office use? I feel unrestful about my decision.

Hey, my fellow Lachesis users. I have the 4000 dpi version, 2 actually. If I program one of the side keys to any single key I have a problem. Do you?? I use the front right side key for melee. Try ths. Program any side key to some single key. Then open word or notepad. get the curser ready to type. Press and hold the left mouse button and as your holding it press and release the side key - the let go of the left mouse button. It's a problem for me because while gaming if I am firing a weapon while being rushed I sometimes melee befor letting up on fire. Anyway, 3 of 3 Lachesis mouse I have tried this on are the same. Hold left mouse while press and release side key programed as any single key, then release left mouse and that programed key is acting like it's depressed until you press any of the side keys again. True????

Is that normal. Can I set it up so it does not work that way?? I tried doing a macro but that way the macro won't interupt the fire/left mouse.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

there is my Lachesis config. I tested it again and found that the programed button remains like it's being depresses until you press any of the other PROGRAMED SIDE buttons. The 2 behind the wheel will not un-stick the programed key and for a side key to un-stick it, it can't be off.

Sisrace, Just my opinion. But, gaming keyboard and mouse is really a personal prefrence. The prices you quoted are very close to retail prices in the US, depending on which model they are. If you have the opportunity, I would try to use them for a couple of days before purchasing. The Lycosa appears to be discontinued here. I guess, all I am saying is that for gaming, they are personal preferences. For the price you quoted, it sounds like an OK deal to me. But, that's no guarentee you will like them in gaming. Personally, I have a Logitech G510 and G500. If they both died today I would have a G510 and G500 on the way tomorrow. Others feel the same about their Razor products.

Hi there,

As described I my middle click function has stopped working on my mouse, at first I assumed it was a Chrome update and that I could no longer use it to "Open link in new tab" however it seems that it now does absolutely nothing and I am unable to reassign it. I used CAD software (Solidworks) that requires the middle mouse button for me to be able to pivot my view about the pointer on the screen (also a few PC games I play would be much smoother if I could do this).

I have all the latest drivers and firmware installed.

I did find this thread that I thought might help me; Middle Mouse Button , however the screen shot at the bottom shows the Mouse Options on the Control Panel having a lot more option than it does for me, the only options I have are switching the left and right mouse buttons, double-click speed adjustment and ClickLock.

The buttons assignment window that I get using the Razer software gives no more options other than to assign the forwards and backwards buttons ("Windows Button 4" and "Windows Button 5").

Thank you for any help you can give.

Answer:Middle Click Mouse Function Stopped Working (Razer Deathadder)

I had that problem when I installed "software" for my mouse. I just use the default drivers that Windows installs upon connecting.

Have you recently installed any new software for your mouse or somehow relates to your mouse?

Anyone out there with Win7 64bit and a Razer mouse having problems with it not scrolling or sometimes scrolling?

I've searched all over google, found a few other users having the problem, but no resolution.
Everything is updated.. firmware and drivers (that in itself took forever).

The scroll button works fine, but not the scroll wheel. Is it possible to be a hardware issue?

Answer:Windows 7 64bit - Razer mice

Probably is a hard ware issue, try another mouse at least (borrow one from someone). My Razer Deathadder's scroll wheel functioned fine in win 7 x64.

Hey again back with another problem...

So i went and bought the Microsoft/Razer Habu mouse. With it i got some software i installed and it worked all fine except for the minor part that it didn't know the mouse was plugged in. Which sucked. So i downloaded the new software from razers site, removed the old drivers and whatnot, then installing the new software. So now it doesn't give me any errors on usb devices or anything, BUT the config freezes everytime i change anything for like 30s or more... The driver version 2.12 and firmware 1.00. Also i think that the settings do not apply at all, for example i managed to shut down the LED around the mouse but i can't get it back on...

Anyone else having this issue or can help me with it?

Does anybody know how to get razer synapse to work with razer naga right-handed mouse and razer naga left-handed mouse at the same time? Razer synapse will not support this. Does anybody know how to run two instances of razer synapse from one computer. One instance of razer synapse for the razer naga right-handed mouse and one instance of razer synapse for the razer naga left-handed mouse? That is the only way I can think of getting both mice to work simultaneously on one computer.

Question: Razer Naga

Hello, I bought a Razer Naga a week ago and I seem to be having problems with it a lot during that week. The problems I am getting are blue screen errors, and I have not been getting these since I bought the new mouse. First was when I was playing WoW, and suddenly, when I clicked the left mouse button it minimized the game, and I realized I couldn't press anything with my left button except the task bar, then a few seconds later I got a blue screen of death. Then a few days later, I was just browsing through the my pc, going through my files, then again my left mouse button wasn't working, got a Blue screen of death again. Just now I was playing WoW and my game just froze (I think it was when I clicked the bottom left button where, the back and forward button) It's what I use to get on my mounts in game, Please don't just say it's because of the macro keys, because like I mentioned above it did it just on my desktop. Plus I do have the latest drivers/software, so could you please help with my problem. I do have Windows 7.

Question: Razer sucks

Bought a Mamba TE mouse last month and it continually kept disconnecting during games, conveniently right as I was about to engage in battle or automatically moving across the screen even when I wasn't touching it.

I opened a support ticket with Razer and they gave typical suggestions that I had already done and I still continued to have issues. They responded this morning saying if I didn't respond then they consider the issue resolved. I got the email right after the mouse went through one of its worst spurts of disconnects/auto-moves and it pissed me off so bad that i reacted to their email with no regrets. (see attachment... posted on my phone hope it works)

There should be at least one screw on the bottom that is most likely covered by the razer product sticker. If you feel around it carefully you should be able to find a slight depression where the screw hole is.

Also, last time I had a razer mouse it did the same double clicking thing. I just replaced it...

Question: Razer Lycosa

Hi.

I have a Razer Lycosa (Mirror Edition) gaming keyboard. It works fine, but sometimes, when I start my computer, the backlightning of the keyboard has changed from 'on' to 'wasd'. (I always use the 'on' setting.)
I figured maybe updating the drivers and firmware would solve this problem.
I updated the drivers to the latest drivers found on Razer's website.

Now to my problem:
I can't find a firmware update anywhere on Razer's website.
I searched using google and found forum posts relating to firmware updates, so it seems that there is/was firmware files available. I just can't seem to find them.

Help, please.

Question: Razer Synapse 2.0

I have been having problems with razer synapse 2.0.

I can configure my settings fine and make macros and everything works, but when I shut my computer off and then come back to it later I wont have those settings by default. Instead it is set to the mouses default settings until I open razer synapse and then it updates it to my settings. I'm not losing my settings, I just have to open razer synapse to get them.

The problem is that it is annoying to have to open synapse every time I start up my computer. Is there a way to make it so when I start my computer the mouse will use my settings rather than the default? Because it uses up time I could be doing other things with by having to open synapse and makes sure everything is working.

Here is a link to the latest firmware for your mouse :Razer Lachesis Firmware Updater v1.94

Download that firmware and then right click on the file that you have saved. Click on "Troubleshoot compatibility"

Choose "Try recommended settings", and you will see that it chooses Win XP (SP2).

Click "Start the program" and the Razer Lachesis firmware updater will run. Run it and your firmware will update. Install your new drivers and all should be ok!

Hope this helps.

My Taipan mouse worked fine with my i5 3550 system with Windows 7 then 10 without using the Synapse software once I turned off USB ErP in BIOS. But when I built a Skylake system and installed Windows 10 Pro it started showing some issues, it repeatedly freezes for at least 15 minutes on a cold boot (like it used to on my i5 3550 system until I turned off USB ErP) and unfortunately my ASRock H110 Combo-g motherboard has no such options in the BIOS to fix that, but now there's another issue is that the middle wheel click is finicky and doesn't work everytime- I thought the mouse was wearing out however it works 100% of the time in Linux and BSD, it's most noticeable when I play a game like PlanetSide 2 (middle click in the game reloads my gun, I have to click it at least 2-3 times for it to work) but occasionally it happened in Firefox when middle clicking to scroll down. No I don't have the Synapse 2.0 software installed.

Any alternatives to tweaks in Windows or the BIOS besides the lack of USB ErP feature? It does have power on by mouse / keyboard options which I think both are turned off atm.

Hi,

I recently purchased a Razer Kraken 7.1 USB Headset and I can hear static but only when audio is playing. If I am in game or watching a video, I will hear the static. I changed one program from Surround Sound to Stereo and the static stopped for that program, but then later the static returned. I searched around and it seems that a lot of people are having this problem, and it may be a USB issue. I also checked to see if the "listen to this device" option was enabled, it was not. If there is no solution for this, should I return this one and get a 3.5mm version, or get a USB to 3.5mm adapter?

Thanks

Answer:Razer Kraken 7.1 Static (USB)

USB headsets do not use the PC's audio system, they have built in electronics to convert the digital to audio. Sounds like it could be the headset, if the regular PC audio does not have this problem.

My razer devices are not being detected in Razer Synapse. The only device that does show up in device manager is my Razer Blackwidow keyboard, all my mice show up as HID-compliant mouse. My mice seem to work on other pcs so I believe the problem has something to do with my PC. I recently used Driver Booster 3 to see if that could solve it, but no luck yet. Both mice work, but I cant tweak their performance in the Razer synapse program. They also sometimes "malfunction" and have to be unplugged and plugged back in. The sound prompt for plugging a device in starts happening for no reason at other times.

Answer:Razer devices not being detected

I seem to have solved it myself. I manually installed the drivers to HID-compliant mouse and used the Synapse file with Device Manager. That seems to have solved the problem. I just hope this stops the randomly disconnecting of these devices.

Hey everyone.

I like to play the occasional MMORPG so I went ahead and got myself a Razer Naga mouse. Its super handy since it has 12 extra buttons on the side for easy keybindings and such, but i ran into a huge problem...

So I have had a Razer Naga for about 10 months now and I have to admit that I really love it, and that I am having a hard time using a "normal" mouse again.

Anyway; After realizing that my mouse once in a while would do a "double click" when only pressed once, I went and looked it up....
It seems that the double clicking problem is a common issue with the Razer Naga and it is a simple wear and tear problem.
I refuse to start opening the mouse (breaking the warranty) and fiddle with the parts myself, because I expect an 80$ mouse to at least not wear down after 10 months. I´m sending the mouse right back and will be getting a refund.

Can you guys recommend a mouse for me? I don't mind paying a decent amount of money for a mouse since I use it on a daily basis, But I need to get my money's worth.

Thanks in advance, and enjoy your weekend

Ok so are there others who have found conflicts
when running the new windows 10 with razer software .

I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities
Razer synapse didn't load right on build 10166
games are crashing leading to BSOD

reason I don't think its Nvidia is that the latest driver
I've been using, on the previous build, had no issues.

Should I disable SLI until this error is resolved?

Answer:BSOD - razer software

Why not uninstall all Razer software/drivers until Razer release versions tested to work correctly on W10?

The more 3rd party drivers you have loaded, the greater your chances of of hitting a bugcheck, when your OS is still Beta, the likelihood is even higher.

So earlier today my PC was shut off via the power button (dunno if that helps) and when I turned it back on, I had no sound in my headset. I restarted and it still occured. None of the volume and sound options seems to have been changed and I dunno what happened! Please assist me if you can.

Answer:No sound in Razer Tiamat 2.2

Depending on what the reason for the power button shut down, almost anything can happen.

You say no sound in headset. Do you have sound in speakers?

Go to the Device Manager Sound section. Right click to highlight your sound device (e.g. RealTek or whatever you have) and then LEFT Click "Uninstall". DO NOT check the box to uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. This fixes a lot of Windows corruptions and may fix your problem.

BTW, more system info should be posted. Dell XPS doesn't tell us much as there are many XPS models. But, DO NOT include the Service Tag number, as that is personal data.

Hello, I've had the Diamondback for about 6 months now, but, whenever I try to use mouse buttons 6 and 7 in a game, they do not register. I do not know what to set them to in the driver GUI section. The only logical options that came to my mind were click, or button off, and still setting a command. Mouse buttons 4 and 5 have an option to just set it TO that, whereas the 6 and 7 do not. If anyone could help me, that'd be amazing

Here is a picture of the GUI.

Answer:Razer Diamondback 3G mouse

Some games are not set up to handle the extra buttons. Did you map the buttons in the Razer GUI, or in the game's settings? In the game, the Razer settings may be ignored. Try mapping the buttons using the game's settings.

I just got a Razer Lycosa today:

I've been using a G15 v1 for a while now, but decided to try the Lycosa for a couple of reasons:
1. it's smaller, and can fit more easily on the desk
2. curiousity. I just wanted to try something different.

Anyway, the features of the Lycosa include:
* backlit keys (you can turn it on for only the WASD keys)
* 1000HZ polling rate
* slim design
* touch sensitive media buttons
* nice look (the full picture at the top doesn't do it justice)
* key macros
* USB extension - the keyboard comes with two USB plugs, one is for the integrated USB port. I'm guessing this is to avoid the latencies and/or bandwidth of two devices sharing one port.
* mic and headphones extension - the Lycosa's cable also has 2 x 3.5mm plugs for headphones and a microphone
My experience with the Lycosa so far:
The keys do have a nicer feel to the G15 keys.
Before using it, I was skeptical whether the 1000HZ polling rate would make a difference with a keyboard. It does. The Lycosa feels more 'instant' and responsive to key presses than the G15.

When I plugged my headphones into the headphone port on the Lycosa (a pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD900's, combined with an Asus Xonar D2X), I noticed some background noise that wasn't there before (even with nothing playing)
So I plugged the headphones directly into the sound card again, and it was gone.
So it seems the Lycosa's headphone extension picks up interference.
This might not be noticable with the basic headphones mo... Read more

ok, i have recently bought a razer copperhead to compliment my new pc though i seem to have a major issue which no one seems able to resolve.

Basically i use a Plantronics DSP 400 as a Headset/Mic for music/gaming as i have no speakers. They work perfectly fine until i plug my razor copperhead in which instantly makes the microphone on my headset not work and distorts the sound from the headset to an extent where i can hear sounds but surrounded by buzzing and distortion. I instantly thought it might be the new mouse so plugged both the headset/mouse into my old pc but there was no problems. As my old mouse is completely broken i can now only use my pc with sound and no mouse or a mouse and no sound, upsetting as you can guess. Anyway i hope you can help i will post my specs below!

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
ASUS A8N-VM PCI-Express Mainboard
1024MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 6800Gs XXX edition
5.1 Channel Surround Sound Audio (motherboard)
Windows XP Sp2

Thanks and hope someone can help!

Answer:Razer Copperhead Problem

after viewing a few other threads, in the device manager everything is running fine with no problems apparent and i also updated all my drivers, someone said it could be a power problem though i have 550w psu

Hey guys,

I dont know if this is the correct place to put it but I've been having trouble with my Razer Copperhead I bought couple months ago. It used to work fine but now whenever I move it, its not a smooth transition rather it jerks up and down. Also sometime the mouse just bugs out and flys to the other side of the screen. I downloaded the latest patch for it but it still hasn't done anything. Any help?

Answer:Razer Copperhead problem

Maybe the driver is the problem? Possible dirt on the surface the mouse is sliding on?

Hello there,
I am trying to setup my Alienware with my new Razer Tiamat 7.1. I jacked all the plugs in the correct spots on the onboard sound card from my R4. I can hear everything, except bass (barely recognizable). Its really saddening so far. I thought the sound card would actually be able to get everything to my Tiamat.
I plugged in my old Headset (Razer Blackshark) and this one has bass indeed. It just does not have as many plugs as the Tiamat (only one vs 5 + USB from the Tiamat). I am 100% sure I hit all the plugs correctly cause they are color coded. Only thing might be driver problems or non-support by my motherboard (which would leave me wondering, because it has all the audio-jacks the Tiamat needs).
If I run a test audio file with my subwoofer and external speaker it nearly blows my room, but very little to nothing on the Tiamat.
Any suggestions? I already downloaded the new drivers for my motherboard, still no change. Hope you can help, thanks for reading! :)

good day to all! i treated myself to the v2 model of the razer lachesis with the 5600dpi - it's nice! however.. i'm struggling to work out how to bind my extra mouse buttons in games without having to sacrifice a keyboard key for it anyway?
i don't know if this is just how razers software works as this is my first experience as a razer user. anyone know if it's possible to bind a mouse button without sacrificing a keyboard key?

thanks in advance!

Answer:razer lachesis 5600dpi

Greetings, vkbluu.

I would think that the Razer would have come with an installation CD, which contains the console for bindings. If not, then you might be able to find one at Razer Support.

Okay, I'm not usually one to look to a forum for help, but this has stumped me,
Bought a brand new set of Razer Megaladons Today, perfect condition, from CCLONLINE.COM (Picked it up).

Got it home, unboxed, undamaged, in fine condition, now the Razer Megaladon is USB Only, so i plugged it in the back USB Port, it detected it fine, downloaded the necessary driver and life was good, untill i noticed absolutely no sound was coming through at all.

Now i'll walk you through some steps i'v done so far.

- Tested it straight away on a Laptop i have, worked perfectly, plug in and play.

- Searched for drivers via Razer Site & Google, only Firmware, downloaded and installed that but still no luck with the sound.

- Went into the Sound Playback, set the Megaladon to Default Device & experimented with others, still, no luck, attempted restarts inbetween.

- Ran a driver sweeper and updated EVERYTHING possible, still no good.

- Ran a driver cleaner, cleaned and uninstalled all audio drivers and started from scratch, still no sound.

- Tried in all different (8) USB Ports i have, nothing.

- Tried an external powered USB 3.0 / 2.0 Ports, nothing.

- Reformatted my entire system. Nothing.

What the actual ****?

My system specs are as follows:

Processor - Intel I5 2500k - Overclocked to 4.5Ghz
RAM - 8 GB Vengence DDR3 1255 MHZ
Graphics - GTX 560 Ti 448 Gainward Dual Fan

My Razer Anansi keyboard is also hooked up via usb and work fine with the computer. I have the keyboard hooked up in the back of the pc on the bottom 2 usb ports. I have the mouse on one of the top usbs in the back. I switched the slots and it still does it. I downloaded and updated Synapse and still nothing. I disconnect the mouse from the computer...and the pc loads windows and all is well. Once the pc is on and loaded I hook up the mouse and it works fine. ONce i restart it freezes again at the HP load screen. I even tried hooking up the mouse in the front usb ports but still not workig. The mouse works fine on my other HP computer. What could be the problem? thx.

I'm here to tell you all about the worse mouse and service I've ever experienced!
It's called Razer Boomslang 2000 and Kärna Precision!
I bought my mouse 2 months ago for about £80, the best way to waste money is to do the same! It took the mouse about 1½ moth to break down. The left mouse button started lagging and soon it completely frooze! on top of that it doesn't feel very precise, infact, I now use my http://www.sandberg.it/sandberg/hardware/63071.jpg 2 button, no scroll mouse wich gives me the same result (the no1 spot - bf42 ALWAYS). Well, that wouldn't bother me if it hasn't been that the company won't return my emails... And I've send 15 since i got the mouse (over 2 months)

The lack of service is fustrating and the worse part is that the company haven't even released a WinXP driver??? The last driver was created nov.2000! How lousy is that?? The company can't even provide the customers with a propper driver for a common used operating system!

DON'T BUY THE RAZER BOOMSLANG MOUSE - IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

Answer:Razer Boomslang 2000

Didnt they discontinue making the razor boomslang quite some time ago? I know they went out of business once and someone started it back up but didnt that venture go under too?

Hello, I bought a Razer Naga a week ago and I seem to be having problems with it a lot during that week.
The problems I am getting are blue screen errors, and I have not been getting these only since I bought the new mouse.

OK, this is a recent update (I posted this on a wrong forum, so updating while I can) I went to event viewer, and I noticed the problem was with my graphics card driver, so I've uninstalled, used DriverSweeper to get rid of anything, and re-installed just incase it could be a problem with just the GPU drivers.

But on the earlier BSOD's I am not sure if was because of my GPU drivers, this is why I need anyones help with my problem here.

I will put 2 BSOD... Read more

My mouse cursor has started freezing on screen for a few seconds at a time. Then Windows will make the "ding dong" disconnection sound, and the mouse will start working again, though sometimes it takes a few ding dong sounds.

You would think maybe it's a faulty wire, but the lights in the mouse stay on the whole time. And I tried cleaning the lens with rubbing alcohol, but to no difference.

Also it seems to happen more often when the comp is doing something intensive.

Answer:Razer Diamondback keeps freezing

Try another mouse you know is good to see if the issue is still there. If it is, work through these steps.

Hello guys!
I have owned a Razer Naga for nearly two years now. And I have had several problems with it in the past, that I have managed to solve. (Or has solved it self..)

I remember having this bug once or twice before, but I have managed to solve it.
I cant remember how though, I just remember having this exact problem a few times before..

I can move the mouse cursor left and right without problems. But when I try to move the mouse up and down, it stops, and suddenly moves again. Like if the edge of invisible program window is blocking the mouse from moving for a second.

It is really hard to move the mouse, so everything takes a lot longer time. I play games a lot, (thats why I bought the Naga..) so it's really annoying to not be able to play, if there isn't any fix to this.

I read another thread about a guy who had the exact same issue, who had to get a new one. Because razer told him it was defective! So have I managed to use a defective mouse, for 2 years, managing to solve the problems each time?

Anyhow, I need help! And every answer is greatly appreciated!

Answer:Razer Naga up/down movement bug!

Well, I resintalled all of my drivers. And uninstall Synapse.
I uninstalled the Naga from the device manager and repaired all of the drivers, and rebooted.
After repairing the drivers another time, it worked.

And I apparently have to repair my drivers on every start up to be able to move the mouse cursor.. ffs..

The cursor movement is still bugged, help would be apreciated..

What is better Alianwere or Razer?

Answer:Alianwere VS Razer /Answers Please!?!?

Honestly I prefer Razor as their laptops are usually lighter and have a much nicer, more subtle design. In addition to this they tend to be much better spec wise for the same money. Although most of it comes down to personal taste and how much you are willing to spend.

I've got a Razer Nostromo on my main PC that I use for gaming, but after the Windows 8 install, the Razer programming software won't recognize the pad. It shows up correctly under devices, but the programming software gives the error of "No Razer Nostromo Connected. Application will close now." and then exits.

So far I've tried pretty much all the compatiblity options (admin, winxp, win7, etc). I've tried both the drivers that came with the pad, and I've also tried the drivers that Windows pulls down from the repository. I even went so far as to install several virtual machine packages (Hyper-V, Vmware & VirtualBox) + windows xp (only one I can force the pad over to the virtual machine with is Virtualbox, and it works perfectly under that VM, software detects it, and will program it, but once you switch OUT of VB, it reverts to the default programming).

At one time I had the older version of this pad (Belkin N52TE), and it stored the settings in nvram on the pad, I could move it over to my laptop and the programming moved with it. But for whatever reason, Razer decided to remove the nvram and make it completely dependent on their software for programming .

Anybody out there got one of these, and were able to get the Razer software to recognize it on Windows 8? Or anybody have any ideas on making it work?

Answer:Razer Nostromo programming?

I tracked down a version of their software that will actually program the little beastie, v1.03 of the Nostromo software apparently will see the device under Windows 8 (funny that v2.02, the lastest won't). Exported profiles from the 2.0x versions aren't compatible with 1.0x, but I can live with that.

Link to the drivers if anybody needs them:
