Intel 5100 AGN WiFi Card problem

Question: Intel 5100 AGN WiFi Card problem

My computer is running on Windows 7 Professional 32bit. It has worked fine for the last 2 years. But recently, my wifi card has started me giving me problems. It detects the wireless networks but connects to them only for around 10-15 minutes after which the connection is not even visible in the list. Then after 30-40 minutes, it can connect but the same problem is there.

Also, I tried to make my own ad-hoc connections and saved them. These connections do work and my friends are able to connect to it and the connection remained active for hours. I did it to check whether the Wifi card is working or not. It does work but only with the outgoing connections that are made by my computer. The networks that in range and are giving problem with my wifi card are working fine for my friends. So, I guess it is not the network's problem.

When I tried troubleshooting it, it gave the problem 'Problem with wireless adapter or access point'. I also tried installing all different driver versions and rollbacking to the default version for my wireless card but the same problem is there. Although in device manager, It says the device is working properly.

Please help me in solving this problem. Exact name of WiFi Card in Device Manager- Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

The same complaints and problems with this 5100AGN adaptor has been around for a long time.

There are countless threads about this on the internet. It seems that disabling the 802.11n Only setting in the routers settings and running in mixed wireless mode can help. Updating the drivers can also help, try the Intel site. > Intel? Driver Update Utility

Then I wonder if Lenovo 3000 N500 4233 series supports N network with the following network card Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN.When I linked up with Rauter with N, so I got a speed of about 65 Mbps, but far away from thespeed of 100-130 Mbit/s +.I have spoken to Lenovo and received a reply to update drivers on all that goes too uppdate and see if it works. If I do not find them at Lenovo, I would go to Intel and Microsoft homepage to see if there were any new drivers.Slowly and soil, I made it and found newer drivers for the network card but to no avail.I spoke with Lenovo again and got the answer that it could not do more because the card was 65 Mbps, which is certain to N working. In other words, nothing is broken can not be repaired, even if it onlyperforms 1/4 of what it should be!I was still unhappy, I could go back to the medamarkt and return the machine.I wonder how somone can say something like that when intel WiFi Link 5100 AGNshall work up to 300 Mbps while It can't get more then 65 Mbits/s.For if I have 65 then I am on N linkage because the G only goes up to 54 Mbit/s.The most strange is that not only was the serier of Lenovo 3000 N500, having problems with Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGNnot performing as it should. The answer I got was to either leave or wait until someone will solve the problem (Lenovo,Intel or Microsoft).Plus I have age machinery that works good in 130 Mbits/s without problems while a new can not?Strange thinking about this.So what do you do?Someone who knows ... Hello. We are receiving T400 laptops.  These laptops do not hold a wireless connection for any length of time.  They also have a hard time connecting at boot up.  Item that have been tried...01) Removed and re-installed Drivers.02) Removed and reinstalled Access Connections. (Leap Authorization is used)03) Removed and replaced the Wireless Card. FRU 43Y6943. We are using Windows Xp with SP 2.  The laptop runs fine and we have no complaints with the exception of the wireless.  I might mention that we had the same issue with T61 Models.  To resolve this issue, we removed the B/G/N card and installed B/G cards.  We do not utilize "N" Band, so we do not need this capability.  I was looking for a way to do the same to the T400 Laptops, but I am unable to find a compatible B/G card to use.  The BIOS generates the 1082 error if we attempt to use a card that is not approved for the model.  Any assistance would be appreciated... Thanks. Bob...

Have you installed the latest drivers from Intel? The drivers provided by Lenovo, in most cases, may not be the latest ones.

We're in hospital, she's I'll, I am 24/7 carer.

My Vostro 1720 connects promptly at home, WiFi or LAN.

Hospital has public use WiFi provided on each floor. Transmitter has TP-Link on the cover and twin aerials.

The Vostro can see transmitters for 4 floors, the signals come & go and, regularly disappear.

2 iPads & an iPhone stay connected unless, the signal disappears, in the same room. Signals are described as excellent or good.

The Vostro when I bring it in, after using at home, connects automatically. Twice has reached the stage when all 3 links I can see with a decent signal, can't connect, sometimes get asked for the password, run trouble shooter multiple times with no success. First time internet connection worked for 2 days, 2nd time for an hour, then couldn't log on to any link.

I'm puzzled why the Vostro doesn't hold the connection and the IOS devices do.

Public holiday over in a couple of days and I plan to catch the lady chief of the hospital and the IT manager.

I would be most grateful for queries, comments or, references to help in these encounters.

Thank you and regards

Recently, my Intel Wifi 5100 has stopped working on windows. For no appearant reason, Windows decided that my Wifi card is not good enough to be read. When i open my Device Manager, my Ethernet port shows up, but the Wifi card does not. The wierd part is that the Wifi card gets read in "Splashtop" which came on my laptop. I can use Wifi on the Linux bases OS, but not windows. I've tried installing all drivers, but Windows refuses to acknowledge the presence of my card. Any clue on how to fix this?

Answer:Serious Intel Wifi 5100 problem

Hey, welcome to Vista Forums!
Assuming the wireless card is removable, you could try re-seating the wireless card, also, you could take the card out, and boot, then shut down, and put the card back in, then boot and see if it made any difference.

If it's not removable, check to make sure any wireless switches are turned on.

Please post back with what you have tried, or even if you managed to fix the problem and how!
Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hello! I have a R500 Series ThinkPad with the Intel 5100 AGN WiFi adapter. The driver for the card has been updated as of today (September 7, 2010). I have a D-Link DIR 655 WiFi router (replacing an old Linksys 54g WiFi router). The firmware of the router has also been updated today. I'm running the router under the WPA-2 standard with AES cipher type, channel width of 40 Mhz on 802.11n mode only with auto channel scan (just as Intel is recommanding). I also followed Intel indications for the WiFi card. Problem is : the laptop just can't connect to the WiFi network...? I tried all sort of things, but to no avail. Can anyone help? Note that when I tried  to use the router under WPA with TKIP and AES as cipher type, the laptop was able to connect at the slow 54 Mbps rate. Thanks.

We have fairly new HP DV7T laptops, with the internal Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN card..

We have been through 3 access points at this point, i just now confirmed that i dont think our issue is access point related, at least not the type etc...

Frequently these laptops will suddenly not find ANY networks (wireless ones) to connect to..

Other laptops (dell, asus, iphones) still work fine during these periods.

I've tried playing with configuration settings on the nic itself with no luck.

Currently we have a Dlink Dap-2553 access point.. set to the 2.4ghz mode (since we still have devices that need 2.4ghz)..

I'm not sure what to do to prevent this from happening, short of using express cards, which we dont want to do..

Anyone else ran into this?

Thanks

You'll need a modded BIOS in order to use that card in R500. Stock BIOS will not allow the machine to boot with it.

Ok I have a Asus G60VX thats less than a year old running windows 7. On Friday (three days ago) the system was working fine, I could connect to the internet and everything. Tonight when i turned on my laptop it showed that i couldn't connect to the internet. So i rebooted both my computer and router thinking it was my brother playing Xbox live. It still didn't work. So i tried the usual suspects: deleted the saved file and made a new one, went into the device manager and made sure there weren't any problems (there weren't), i even tried doing a system restore but to no avail. I tried the Fn combo on my keyboard and the switch on the front but this still didn't work. After three hours searching for a solution on my desktop (which can access the internet fine) I kinda want to take a sledge hammer to the thing. :) So at this point i'm begging for a solution! thanks!

Answer:Problem with Intel WiFi link 5100?

Hi.

Did you install any iTunes or Apple software before this happened?

For now, try resetting the network protocol tcp/ip stack. In an elevated command prompt, copy and paste this then hit enter:

Code:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
Then do the same for this command:

Code:
netsh winsock reset
Reboot and test the connection. If still no good, go into Internet Explorer.

Tools | Internet Options | Connection | Lan Settings

and make sure there are no checked boxes. Then ok your way out a few times. Reopen IE and test.

If still no good, please respond about the Apple, iTunes software and/or do you have mdnsresponder.exe in the task manager?

I am new here. I'm not even sure if this question is in the correct forum (I hope so). I have a Toshiba Satellite A305 laptop that I purchased a few months ago. In the last month, the wireless connection has been dropping like mad ! And more recently, when it drops, it says it can't find any wireless networks. I then have to perform a hard shut off (by holding the power button till it powers down) and wait a few minutes to turn it back on. I have uninstalled the wireless adapter and then reinstalled it and that didn't work either. Also, all the drivers are up to date. I am very frustrated at this point and don't know what to do. Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated !!

Thanks !!

Answer:Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100 problem

It is always a VERY good idea to check the microfilters (if using ADSL) which are fitted into your phone sockets and make certain that you have microfilters in any socket in the house. Microfilters are very cheap to get hold of and its worth having a few spare.

Hello everyone,

It is my first thread on this forum and I want to thank you because you indirectly help me so many times.

I just installed new bios 1.25 on my notebook because of usb issues. Everything works fine but suddenly my wifi device stops working on windows 7.
It is well installed, the connection under Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections is enabled, but It doesn't see any WiFi spot.

It is not a device hardware problem because it works under ubuntu.

I tried all the usual ways: reinstall drivers etc but nothing happens.

I don't want to reinstall my OS because I'll have too many settings to restore after.

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem? Anyone who fixed it?

i slapped on vista ultimate 32, the intel 5100 will be in device manager without any problems.  the only for me to get the blue led to light up again is to do a uninstall in device manager and reboot.  vista will then detect new hardware and reintall the wifi all over again.  this does work but to do it every week suck.  i dont want to buy a new internal or external card either.  this happen to anyone else?

Answer:Y430 intel 5100, blue wifi led doesn't come on. Not fn + f5 problem either.

To clarify, the wireless works, but the blue LED doesn't and the fix you described only temporarily fixes it?  Have you installed all the other drivers as well; the ones located on the d:/ drive?

Hi Guys,
This is Viral. I am using an Acer laptop model ASPIRE 4736 since the last five years. There haven't been much issues with it. except for the battery and thats it. But recently, since last two weeks I noticed that my Wifi would stop blinking after sometime after I start my laptop and then it wouldn't work even when I try to turn on and turn off the Wifi switch(it doesn't respond anything). I tried searching the net for this issue using my office laptop and found that a system restore would help to solve this issue. Since I remembered that I updated Java as well as there was this ad software which got installed and I had unistalled it. So I did a system restore and then when I opened the device manager, I am not able to see intel r wifi link 5100 driver on it. I tried restarting my laptop and did everything and couldn't find the driver(it was there before the system restore). But later on the same day, the driver got installed automatically and the WiFi started working but only for a couple of minutes after the restart and then it stopped. So  I did the system restore again to the date when everything was working perfectly and when i did that, again my intel r wifi link 5100 driver is not shown on the device manager(network adapters). I don't if it would automatically get installed or not but its sure that the WiFi issue still be there. So can you please help with this issue?

Not possible. The Intel 5100 is mini PCI-e while the 2200 is just plain mini PCI. Completely different slot.

I have a Sony Vaio with intel 5100 AGN wireless adapter & Vista OS.

The problem I have is that 9 times out of 10 it will not connect to my home or office wireless network. Eventually it does, though only after switching the adapter on and off several times or rebooting the machine. Sometimes I also have to restart the wireless router.

It will always seem to connect in that I get the connected icon in the notification area (though often without the internet globe symbol) though it will not connect to the net or to any other machine or printer on the network.

Some other useful info:
Both the home and office routers are the same model (Comtrend) and both work fine with other PC's

I often have bluetooth problems also - can take a while for bluetooth to start (I use a bluetooth mouse) and I have 3 unknown bluetooth peripheral devices in device manager

I have McAfee internet security installed

I have tried:
Disabling the firewall
Removing and readding the wireless and bluetooth devices
Disabling IPv6
Driver & OS update
A clean install

Nothing has resoved this issue which is becoming a pain as I can now spend up to half an hour each time trying to connect.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Answer:Wifi connectivity with intel 5100 AGN

Hi -

The Intel 5100 is one of the best wifi's available. I have one in this system and it performs flawlessly.

I think you'll find McAfee to be the problem here. I suggest that you remove it. Download the McAfee Removal Tool (MRT) to your desktop. RIGHT-click on the MRT icon, select "Run as Admin". When it finishes, re-boot.

MRT - http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe

Then reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings -
START | type FirewallSettings.exe into the start search box | click on FirewallSettings.exe above | select the Advanced Tab | click on "Restore Defaults" | Click Apply, OK

Use AVG for a/v if you wish - http://free.avg.com/download-avg-ant...s-free-edition

Make sure that you have the most recent Intel 5100 wifi driver. Go to Intel's site -

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Prod...ProductID=3062

You can check your system manufacturer's site, but I have found they are ususlly 8-12 months behind.

Howdy

I recently started an internship in Egypt about a week ago. When I first got here the wireless internet worked fine (albeit a bit slow) in my apartment and around the campus. However last thrusday the Wifi on my laptop quit working. I have a Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN that has Windows 7 RC on it right now. The adapter picks up the signal but when you try and connect it gives 'limited connectivity " = no internet. I tried using the Troubleshooter but when used it just says that The Diagonostic Policy service is not running and therefore it cannot fix the the problem. I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this problem.

Thanks

try this either set a hard coded dns

or hard code the ip if you know what your network ip address numbers are
that your access point uses

so say some thing like
this is very very common here

IP: 192.168.1. 100-150
SUBNET: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY:192.168.1.1

and find a dsn server

dont use them numbers there just make sure that your using the right set for the network that your connecting too
i have the same card in my laptop and its a work horse and some

also is the network that your connecting too secure make sure you have your settings right

I Have a Intel (R) WiFi link 5100 AGN, and i was wondering why i am not receiving the draft (N) quality i'm supposed to get i currently own a Belkin N1 Wireless Router.., Please help me with my problem, i also dont have as good connect to my router even though m bro has b/g he gets greater speeds.

Bump, srry i need help, here are the settings.

Answer:Help/Question? Intel (R) WiFi link 5100 AGN

hello ebartolon...
it's still is but remember this is a free forum....
since airbot already gave you the lecture on the bumping threads im not going to go into that...
but what i can tell you to do in the throughput enhancement to turn it on...
also in wireless mode put it to 802.11n as i believe right now you are using 802.11g and not using the n spec...

also even in ideal situations you are not going to get the throughput specified in the n spec or advertised...
it says *up to* because that is the maximum speed that it will go and usually the hardware never reaches that speed....

I have a W500 (i.e. product type 4058), with an Intel 5100 Wifi Link 5100 AGN adapter, running Vista 64 SP2 currently running 802.11G. I want to replace my current router with an "802.11N" but want to know whether my current laptop configuration will enable this change to wireless "N"..Can anyone advise me whether I can:        a) upgrade my router only (i.e. to N)....with the current laptop config ?        b) upgrade my router and upgrade this laptop hardware internally to "N" ?? (is this possible or cost prohibitive ?)        c) or is my only alternative to upgrade the router and purchase a Lan Adapter card for this laptop ??? (Note: I have suspicions that my laptop will NOT allow wireless "N" because after updating the 5100 adapter with the most current driver from Lenovo (i.e. 13.1.1.1, dated 1/13/2020), I find that this drivers' properties only provide wireless a, b, and g protocol choices for selection.....no "N" choice is available.) I am not sure whether this laptop's configuration is not capable of "N" or whether some driver and/or parameter is incorrectly set. Does anyone know for certain????(Incidentally, I have also updated this laptop with all required Microsoft Vista and Lenovo 64 bit SP2 drivers.).Thank you for your help.Regards,drc123

Answer:W500 w/Intel Wifi 5100 AGN compatible w/802.11n ?

Drc123, the Intel 5100 card does support 802.11n at both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, but isn't a very strong performer. For more info, see the following FAQ:I've seen websites that mention other Intel WiFi cards -- what about those cards? What is 802.11n WiFi, and why is it any better than the older 802.11b or g WiFi?I have an HP or Lenovo netbook -- can I swap a better WiFi card into it?BUYING AN 802.11N WIRELESS ROUTER - KNOW THE FOLLOWING OR SUFFERIf you're NOT able to use the Intel 5100 card to connect to an 802.11n router that's sitting next to you, then you probably have a driver issue. Good luck!

I've been having issues with my laptop and its wifi card for the past couple of months. It's an Intel WiFi Link 5100 and my internet just randomly stops working, other computers and devices still work fine, but on my computer I cannot browse the internet (however sometimes downloads don't stop for some reason). Updated my drivers, turning it off and on does nothing, and I'm pretty sure it's not my firewall but next time the internet stops working i'll make sure.

When I say it randomly stops working I mean I'll turn the computer on it will work for a bit then just stop then a little bit later it will work. No other computers or devices experience those kind of pulses here.

Answer:Windows 7 and Intel WiFi Link 5100

What AV and firewall are you using?

Hello Anyone that can help me would be appreciated.  I have a linksys 350N Router which links at N speeds on other equipement I have with N cards.  I purchased this notebook with above noted wifi which is supposed to do N and it only gives me G speed.  I have trouble shot and changed encryption method as recommended on INTEL site yet no luck getting ThinkVantage Access software to recognize n network connection.  I even went so far as to download and try actual INTEL configuration software and still no luck.  HELP any ideas on how to get my notebook communicating with network at N speed? Thanks

I purchased a T400 (which I LOVE so far) but like a fool, didn't opt for the 5300 3x3 WiFi for $15 more... after some post purchase research, I'd much rather have the extra antennae's for picking up those barely in wifi signals around my house.   Does anyone know if the 5300 card can simply be plugged in to replace the 5100?  It all comes down to whether the 3 antennae's are installed on ALL models, with the connectors ununsed when a laptop comes with the 5100.  Anyone know the answer to this? Regards,-Owen

Hello, I'm trying to get wifi working on my x200, but nothing I try seems to work. Initially, in XP or Windows 7, the card wasnt even detected, so wouldn't come up in the unrecognized devices section in device manager.  I installed/uninstalled the drivers several times but nothing changed. I then opened up the Thinkpad and moved the wifi card from the first slot to the second.  Upon booting, in Windows 7 and again in xp, the card was recognised, but a code 10 error came up. I've tried replacing the wlan card with one from an R60, but the x200's boot software prevented the PC from booting up. Can anyon help? Thanks John

Answer:X200 and Intel Wifi Link 5100

Update to my first note.  After a day of installing countless drivers, bios updates and whatever else.  I'm pleased to say that my x200 is now woking in XP with wifi on the 5100. The PCI slot the 5100 card was in to start with did not register any device to be present.  The second slot, recognised the card but gave a code 10 error. I also followed the steps outlined in: kbartke's post on resolving the code 10 on 5100 issue.  That had no immediate effect, but may have eventually solved the problem. I also updated the bios to 3.02. The strange thing that seemed to work was changing the machine's name.  Once restarted, the wifi light came on. I now have to figure out how to get rid of all the bloatware i managed to install in my attempts to get this working... John

Hi I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW11E Laptop with an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN.
On the front is a switch to turn of the Wireless adaptor & a little green light that goes out when you switch it off.
Normally when I turn on the computer it comes on automatically but sometimes it does not & when I look at Device manager it is missing. The only way I can fix it is to turn the computer off & on again. Sometimes I have to do this several times before it will work.
It also goes off by itself if the computer is left on for any length of time without being used.

any ideas ?

Hi, since my WLAN Card seems to be broken I bought myself a new Intel Wifi Link 5100 for my W500. After I replaced the old card with the new one, I get a "1802 unauthorized network card error".I googled for the problem an now I am completely pissed about lenovo. My W500 has a standard slot for such cards, but the W500 has a bios which checks cards against a whitelist and I cannot turn this completely useless check off.Any idea what I could do?2 weeks ago I started thinking about buying a new notebook after christmas. Now I wonder, whether the W530 suffers from the same problem. In the moment I am not sure, whether it makes any sense to buy another lenovo product, when it turns out, it could be crippled the same way as my W500. So does anybody know, whether the W530 suffers the same problem. A last question? What happens, when I plug a WLAN-Stick into USB? Must it also be authorized by lenovo and how do I find out, which products are authorized? Thanks in advance Thomas

Answer:W500 and Intel Wifi Link 5100

welcome to the community.

sorry for your troubles.
afaik, all ThinkPads of at least the last 5(?) or more generations have had a BIOS whitelist for mPCI/e WLAN / WWAN options. as i understand it, this is due to getting approvals from numerous "Communications" regulatory agencies around the world for the cards. unfortunately, i've never seen the whitelists published anywhere, so we normally go by the FRU #s included in hardware maintenance manuals when folks ask for advice on compatible cards.

re: the USB WLAN stick, you should have no issue similar to a whitelist block.

regards.

I have an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN and it keeps crashing my laptop. I would be working and my screen would freeze randomly and my computer would remain unresponsive. This only happens when I turn on my laptop's wireless card and put it to use.

I tried multiple drivers but the newer ones froze my computer faster. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and it still does the same.

Uninstalling the driver and rebooting while letting Windows install a default driver yields the same results.

Much help needed!

Answer:Regarding using wwan in T400 with Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

Hi,

I believe the SIM card slot is in the battery bay.  Remove the battery to access.

That Intel 5100 is a wifi card, not a wwan card.  Do you also have a wwan card installed, or is that what you are asking about?

Information on both (SIM and wwan card installation) is in the hardware maintenance manual: Hardware Maintenance Manual - T400 & R400

This has been happening for the past three days. I just recently bought a laptop, the Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898, with Intel? WiFi Link 5100.

I would be just surfing on the internet and then the WiFi link would randomly just stop working. I would go to the available connections window, and the network i'm connected to would say 'Connected with limited connectivity', and then it would disconnect and then it would not be able to detect any networks, even though it previously did before. I know it's not a network problem because the same problem occured on two different networks I have set up in two different places. The device manager does not report anything wrong with it, and I did not randomly turn off the wifi for any reason. I would have to reset my laptop in order to fix the problem.

This is a new machine (to me). It is a T-500 2242CTO with an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN card and a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit.  I successfully VPN using Ethernet from this machine and wirelessly from other machines in my home network.  However, wireless VPN connectivity from this machine fails 100% of the time.  Current drivers and updates are installed.  I am using the Windows VPN client and receive the following message: Error 800: The remote connection was not made because the attempted VPN tunnels failed.  I turned on logging and found no useful information, to me, in the mounds of data generated.  I've also un-installed the wireless driver, re-installed it, un-installed Lenovo Access Connections and the same error continues.  Has anyone encountered this issue or have suggested fixes?

Am looking for a hardware solution: Pavilion DV7 1270 usUPGRADED TO WIN 10  64bit from WIN 7 64bit My current WIFI Wireless/Bluetooth card is an INTEL WIFI LINK 5100 agn. ( Original card) This is NOT SUPPORTED in Win 10... WIFI  no longer works. There are no solutions offered in HP Web assistance or via INTEL or MICROSOFT. I would simply like to find a compatible(upgrade) card that works in this system  with WIN 10? The card is accessible and replaceable ( in RAM Bay... as i remember) INTEL no longer supports this card (to and through win 10) HP Laptops are notoriously finicky with WIFI card replacements...? Short of adopting a usb dongal WIFI/BLUETOOTH option, I would like to effect an internal upgrade to the original card... seems simple enough? Thank You for whatever guidance you might afford

Answer:after win 10 upgrade, intel wifi link 5100 no longer support...

Hi: You may be able to get the card to work if you fiddle with some of the advanced settings on the advanced tab for the card in the device manager. I have 3 HP business notebooks...one has the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3965ABG card, one has the Intel Intel WiFi Link 4965AG card, one has the Intel WiFi Link 5300 wireless card. The first two I didn't have to do anything to make them work. The 5300...device is present in the device manager saw wireless networks but would not connect when I clicked connect. I went into the advanced settings tab and I think I enabled WMM and the card works just fine and has so ever since. Try tweaking one of the settings in the advanced settings tab. I wish I remembered exactly which setting I changed that made it connect. I was ticked off, so I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. Could not understand why two older cards worked perfectly and the newer one wouldn't. Changing the wireless card would be extremely problematic as you are limited to just the cards listed in the service manual and half the time the ones listed in the manual cause the notebook not to boot up until the card is removed. Also, if you can't get the Intel 5100 to work, you can forget any of the others listed working on W10. I am very sure that changing one of those advanced settings will allow the 5100 card to work.

Hi,

I just bought a Sony Vaio with Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100 Network Adapter.

I primarily use the notebook at my home & office network.
Home Network Router: Linksys WRT54G
Office Network Router: Beetel 450BXi (ADSL2+Modem)

The issue am facing is while am on to the network (mostly home network) suddenly it goes into limited connectivity & gets disconnected; while other PC's remain connected.

And then you have to either re-install the Wireless LAN driver or re-start numerous times.

This has been happening regularly. Pls assist in resolving the issue.

I have a Gateway FX series 17" laptop and yesterday when I got home from university and took the computer out of my bag to start working, the wireless card just didnt exist, no networks were recognized and when i tried to troubleshoot it told me that no device was connected. Wired internet works just fine. And the wireless card appears in the device manager.

methods i have tried to no avail:
-turning the wireless switch on and off
-uninstalling the device and rebooting
-updating drivers
-manually downloading driver from Intel's website
-insulting the device's mother

I'm suspecting this might be a hardware issue but if anyone has some advice that would be great. For the time being I am just using a wired connection but I'm going to need the wireless when I'm. back in class

Dear all,  About 2 years ago i upgraded my win 7 to win 10 version and wirelss stopped working. this problem is well known. Many attempts with netsh id config, reset IP, reinstall drivers, trough a USB whatever, nothing worked. I must conclude that the intel WIFI 5100 driver is incompatible with windows 10. I cannot anymore revert my win 10 upgrade sadly.  My question is whether i can install an older version or another driver type that is compatible on windows 10 ??? if so i would gladly have the driver link or zip file posted  Thanks PS, also my touchpad scrolling feature stopped working, i dont know if this could be related, just in case it could help figuring out where the problem is but i guess its just incompatibility.

Acer Aspire 5930g laptop with Intel 5100 WiFi adapter. Been testing Win 10 Tech Preview, switched off WiFi via built-in system switch and since than it completely disappeared from the laptop. Which means when I press WiFi button on the laptop there's no light, the adapter itself is missing from the system ? even in hidden devices. But all the other buttons (Bluetooth, browser) work well. I've tried switching back to Win7, running WinXP from LiveCD, various Linux distribs ? no result. Tried other adapters (all of them Intel), it didn't help. Actually the system found Intel WiFi/WiMAX, but only WiMAX drivers were installed. Tried flashing BIOS, also didn't help. Been advised to install native ACPI utility with hardware buttons drivers. While trying to find it I stumbled upon a software called Acer Drivers Update Utility. It's a third-party software which scans devices and proposes to download driver updates for them. For some money.Yet while scanning it found the card (at least, listed it among devices). When I was scanning the laptop was connected via LAN, and after scanning Windows notificated about installing some bridge and PCI drivers. The button was working, and so was the WiFi card. The next day, when I opened my laptop (as far as I remember, I didn't switch it off then), WiFi disappeared again. I've tried reinstalling the system and repeat the "magic" with Update Utilty, but failed. Of course, I've tried force-installing the driver... Read more

Hello all,
I am having an issue with my wireless internet connection. It has worked well for 5 years, but a few days ago I suddenly lost connectivity. Checked the wireless switch on my Dell 1737 laptop, good. Replaced my Intel 5100 wireless card with a new one. It is not recognized by Device Manager, but the driver shows up under Control Panel, Programs. Tried just about everything. Do you think I am looking at an out of box hardware failure? I have checked and rechecked the seating and coaxial connectors to the new board. This one has me stumped. Any suggestions? Kind regards.

Answer:Can I replace stock wifi card with an Intel 6235 Wifi/Bluetooth PCI-e card in my N580?

Hello and welcome,

Whatever card you use, it MUST have a Lenovo FRU number.  Cards that will pass the BIOS whitelist have been modified to provide a specific subsystem ID to BIOS.  Reputable sellers will list the Lenovo FRU if their card is compatible.

For example, a generic Intel 6150NX will not pass the whitelist, but a 6150NX with a 20002543 FRU number will pass.

Hi, for a long time now I have been having problems with my wireless.  Every now and then, my wireless connection will just completely drop but only for a second or two.  This disrupts anything that I am trying to do (webpage loading, games, messenger applications, job application processes, etc) and I can't seem to isolate the problem.  Other people at home haven't told me of any sudden, short internet drops. I have the newest drivers according to the device manager and have updated most of the relevant drivers from the Lenovo website.  I am running windows 7 64 bit. Thanks if anyone can suggest where the problem is coming from

Dear all,

I own a satellite A100-383 PSAARE. I would like to upgrade the wifi card, as the one it's installed right now (PRO/Wireless 3945ABG), does not give all the speed the line can achieve (100Mb down). Does anyone know if the card intel 5300 AGN is compatible with my laptop. If it is not I would very much appreciate suggestions.

Thank you

Answer:Satellite A100 - Upgrading WIFI card from Intel 3945ABG to Intel 5300AGN

Don?t think that someone can give you a proper answer since the compatibility depends on the BIOS?
If the BIOS would support the new WLan card, then you could use it for sure?

The point is that motherboards is able to handle the miniPCI WLan cards? the module is just plugged to the miniPCI slot and its removable?
So there is just an question regarding the BIOS support and I?m afraid you will need to test this at your own risk

I stil use very old Toshiba A350D. Notebook works fine with Office, internet browsing and other light task.
But last days i notice a problem with wifi connection. Well, the card constantly switches off automatically. I use Intel Wifi ProSET tool and Windows 7 system tools.
Windows 7 indicator shown no avilable connections and ProSET indicator shown wifi disabled and ask for turn on wifi with hardware switcher, when hardware switcher (mechanical slider with LED on front) is in the 'on' position and LED flashes.

When this happens, the wifi card is still detected in the Windows device manager. I reinstalled all drivers, but this didn't fix the problem.
The card can be switched on and off several times per minute, but most often when the card is turned off it is hard to activate it again.

Fn + F8 works well, if WiFi Link works properly himself.

Is there still someone who remembers this model and met with such behavior?

I ordered an SL500, and selected Wifi 5100, yet when I checked the device manager in vista, it said 5100 AGN.  So what's the difference?  And if there's no difference, why do they allow you different selections: 5100 vs. 5100AGN on the lenovo website when you customize your thinkpad laptop?Message Edited by lenovousersl500 on 12-11-2008 03:01 PM

I experience the following problem with a new one week old Lenovo X220 built with Intel Advanced-N 6205: After 3-5 hours it disconnects from a wifi router and would not be able to connect to it until I reboot the router. It happened the first time on Friday, I was connected to our Verizon FIOS router and after 5 hours I lost connection and won't be able to connect for 2 hours trying every possible thing until I rebooted  the router, what I didn't have to do with countless number of other laptops/cell phones. Now X220 loses wifi connection every 3 hours and won't be able to connect until the router is restarted. All other devices in a house work perfectly fine, my roommates probably already hate me for rebooting the router. Router: Actiontec M1424WR (Verizon FIOS) Other devices which were and still are able maintain connections with this router for many hours w/o similar problem:- my old Dell Latitude E6400- my Samsung Captivate cell phoneand bunch of other HP laptops, macbooks etc. What I tried and what did not help:- rebooting X220- turning X20 off/on- installing the latest drivers for Intel 6205 card for the Intel website- installing/uninstalling Intel Wifi tools and Access Connections- restoring from a backup (not a complete factory setting restore)- setting DNS/IPs manually for IPv4 and turning off IPv6 I tried to collect some logging with netsh tracing and it only tells that the driver disconnects during acquisition. Some clue I dis... Answer:Wifi issue with X220 (intel wifi card); It stops connecting to a router after 3 hours

When it is reproducible in Win 7, went to Ubuntu Live CD and everything works there. So the problem is either inside:- router- Win 7 Intel 6205 drivers including shipped and the latest one  I don't think it is that low level though as I thought, as in Win 7 it tries to reconnect each time disconnecting during "Identifying Network" stage, and setting IP, gateway and DNS manually do not help.  UPDATE: I was able to update Verizon FIOS router to the latest firmware and switched it from WEP to WPA just in case.

I have a Yoga 13, and I have started to experience the issue I keep finding all over the internet, the wifi keeps dropping, even though it can see the router, it won't connect, I reboot, i get connected for a few seconds then it drops again, sometimes resetting the wireless adapter helps, but again just for maybe a minute, then gone again. I have tried all the suggestions about performance settings, latest drivers etc... So now I would like to replace the realtek card with maybe an intel one, as I no longer have faith in the realtek one. Does anyone know what one would be compatible with the yoga 13?

Answer:Replace Realtek WiFi card with Intel card

Quickest way would be to pop off the back and first check if its a soldered in item. If it is plug-in, then count the pins on the connector and then go find a matching card version. I did that on my Acer laptop, but then, they are pretty much always a plug in thing. For compactness, they may be soldered in on the Y13.

Answer:Intel Pro wifi card upgrade for R51

You can't use 3945ABG since it's a mini-PCI-e card, and your machine calls for mini-PCI.If you're keen on Intel, 2200BG would be my preferred choice. Also, IBM (Atheros) b/g and a/b/g card will work just fine in that R51.As for Linux, Ubuntu is always a good place to start IMO.Good luck.

Answer:Replacing the Realtek wifi card with an Intel one

Hello and welcome,

As you've discovered, wifi cards have to be the correct model (Intel xyz) and have a Lenovo FRU number.

I can't link to the T420 Hardware Maintenance Manual at the moment - support is undergoing maintenance

Here are the Intel models and FRUs from my local T420 HMM:

Wireless-N 1000                       60Y3241
Advanced-N 6205 (2x2 AGN)             60Y3253
Ultimate-N 6300                       60Y3233
Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250, WW SKU       60Y3195
Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250, Russia SKU   60Y3209

Hopefully that helps your search.

Hey everybody,I installed ubuntu in my e130 but the wifi didn't work. After spending a couple of hours unsuccefully i decided to buy a new wifi card which is properly supported by Linux. I chose the Intel 2230 wich is also mentioned on the Lenovo support site as supported by the e130.Unfortunately my e130 won't start at all with this card. It is saying that i have an unsupported network card installed and have to plug it off right after pressing the power button.I read some other post where they succesfully run the laptop with this card. These information are written on the card:Intel centrino wireles-n 2230Model: 2230bnhmwE130 with Pentium 997, 1.6 ghzAnyone able to help me?Thanks a lot!

Answer:e130 and intel 2230 wifi card

Does your N-2230 card have a FRU number on it? If it doesn't then it won't work with your E130, since it is not sourced from Lenovo. For example my T430u's N-2230 have the following FRU information printed on the card. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lead_org/8449497451/Generic N-2230 card won't work in your E130.

I am wondering if i can use the wifi card in T400 to work with T420. The wifi card in T400 is Intel N5300, it is a full size PCI-e card The wifi card in T420 is intel N1000, it is a half size PCI-e card In T420, there is a position near the ram slot on the back of the laptop, which can work with a full size PCI-e. Is it possible to intall the Intel N5300 there? Or that slot is for WAN only? Thanks, Mcdull

Answer:T420 using Intel N5300 wifi card

Hey Mcdull,

Lenovo no longer supports intel N5300 but being as they both use PCI-E slots I would suggest you try it and see if your computer recognize the card. Then you would have to use a lower version of the driver version 15.1.0.18.

Best Regards,

Question: Intel 5100 AGN

I have an ASUS U81A laptop (Win 7 Home) with the Intel 5100 AGN wireless chip in it. Two days ago the wireless refused to turn on. The hotkeys to turn it on display the usual "tower" icon for the wireless but wont turn it on. In the last day I have completely reset my computer with the F9 reset and I have also reinstalled all the drivers for the chip as well as the ASUS wireless console 3 utility and the ATK driver for the hotkeys. As recommended in another post by another member I installed the Xirrus WiFi Inspector. When trying to hit the enable button it says it enables it but the card is still not on and won't detect networks. Also the device manager recognizes that the card is there. I'm at a loss of what to do next. I heard that some people have had luck covering pin 20 on the card with clear tape (supposedly that is the pin that controls the on/off capability forcing the card always on). Has anyone had luck with this?

I have asked this question multiple times in the wifi problems thread about yoga pro 2, but it seems like no official representative seems to be answering our calls of whether it works or not. I want to buy a 7265, NOT 7260 intel card for my lenovo yoga pro 2. I will buy it from wherever Lenovo will advise me to buy. Can you please just tell me which one it works on my laptop and I will buy it immediately! By the way, my Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 is made for the Croatian market I think(even though I'm a Macedonian and I bought it from an official Macedonian Lenovo reseller and now my keyboard layout is messed up with croatian letters, but that's another story). Is this BIOS lock active on my model as well like the US models have? Can I exchange my wifi card for whatever wifi card?

Answer:Will the Intel 7265 Wifi Card Work on my Yoga Pro 2 ??

I also have the Yoga 2 Pro and want to upgrade to the 7265. Been looking everywhere and it looks like the form factor and everyting are compatible, the only issue I could see is the card not being on the BIOS whitelist, which seemed to be a problem with people trying to upgrade to 7260s in the past. I called Lenovo tech support and the rep assured me that it will work as long as I have the proper drivers. I am a bit skeptical because he didn't directly confirm that I wouldn't have any issues with the 7265 being on the whitelist.  Either way, I just ordered the card from Amazon. So we will see and I will update when it comes.

This one:

Because my desktop was situated at the other side of the house from the router, I bought what I thought was an official Intel card with this antenna because I knew the longer range and clearance would help. However, once the card came in it turns out while it does have the right mPCI Intel card, the mPCI to PCIe adapter and antennas are very different, and the antennas are the generic short black plastic ones
I did buy it through Amazon third party seller but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it as the card is still genuine and the adapter has a metal heat shield which I think is good as it bumps up against my GPU, but I had really shitty speeds until I fiddled with the antennas a bit and it's still not the best.

So, is it possible to buy this antenna standalone, or is there a similar one? I don't really want to go for the goofy extra long black antennas, or the bases that look like automotive CB radio antennas. And I'd like fast shipping and for it to be under $20CAD or so inc shipping, if possible.

Thanks.

No. Leonovo White Lists the Wireless cards in the BIOS. The only cards that you can "upgrade" to, is one that has their "FRU" stamped on it. If you want to use any other wireless card, you would have to use a modded BIOS. According to the Z575 HMM: http://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/UserGuide/en/User%27s%20guides%20and%20manuals/Z575/Lenovo%20Id...  DragonRider

Answer:Possible to buy the square Intel antenna without buying a wifi card?

Go to Communities.intel.com and post that picture, and ask if anybody there knows where to get one. You may get luck. I found this thread there, trying to locate your device, so I know people are talking about it: I need the external antenna |Intel Communities. Acer closed the thread on the wifi issues, but technically this is a "different subject" so I'll post it here. After receiving my 3rd R7, I finaly got one with working wifi. I say "working" because it did work reliabily. The range was not great, and the speed was also bad compared to other laptops, BUT it worked.... It was just slow... For typical internet access you would never notice it unless you had a very fast connection or you were transfering files on a local network. I think they actually fixed the problem, but the broadcom chips in these laptops still arent very good.SO, I still had that intel 7260 card laying around....(I had ordered it when I wasnt sure I was going to send my laptop off for repair)I ordered another 8GB of ram, and decided I was gonna open it up and upgrade the Ram and the wifi card.I am so glad I did. I've read a dozen postings and think I know what's going on but hopefully someone can simplify it for me. With the Realtek RTL8191SE I am experiencing 4-5 minute boot times and WiFi connect times on my T400S (2801).  I decided to get the Intel WiFi Link 5300 agn card (533AN_MWW) to allow 5ghz connections and eliminate the Realtek problems.  I installed the card, connected the wires properly (Grey1, Black2, White3), hardware WiFi antenna switch is on, card is recognized by Windows, Intel 14.3.2.1 driver, driver is enabled but when I open Access Connections, no wireless networks are found.  Fn+F5 shows that the 802.11 Wireless Radio is present but with a status of Off.  When I click the Power On button, it turns green and closes automatically 30 seconds later but remains Off and still no networks found.  I don't think this adapter is whitelisted by the BOIS but I could have a different version than Lenovo approves.  I tried the other tips given such as disabling n, turning power management off, etc but to no avail.  Ideas?

Answer:Intel WiFi Link 5300 agn card not able to turn on via Fn+F5

I think I might have figured it out.  There are two PCI Express Mini Card slots on the T400S (2801).  The shorter slot is for WiFi/WiMax cards and the longer slot is for WAN cards.  The longer 5300 cards on the market cannot be used in the longer slot.  Windows recognizes the cards but Access Connections (or maybe the BIOS) does not allow it to operate.  Can anyone verify this?

Just finished replacing the DC plug on my Y460P. Every time I tried to plug in external power the internal female receptical moved into the case making it impossible to charge. After spending $7 on a complete new plug assembly I ended up having to glue it to the inside of the case to hold it in place when the charger was inserted. Seems a common problem and fix. Anyway, I can once again recharge my battery. For reasons unknown during the disassembly/reassembly my WiFi card stopped working. I've got the standard issue Intel N-1000. Device manager shows it working properly but when I access the adapter through the network connections I find the on-screen slider in the off position. Clicking the slider moves it to on momentarily only to have it quickly return to off.  The position of the external Wifi switch makes no difference. I've tried booting the machine with the card removed. Checking device manager w/o the card shows (as expected) the card missing but no other errors. Reinstalling the card and rebooting causes the card to reappear in device manager but still showing as off in network connections. Disabling and reenabling makes no difference. I can buy a new WiFi card for less than $8 but, since the one I've got is showing as working properly, I'm skeptical that a new one would fix the problem. Anyone run across a problem like this?  Moderator comment: Model added to subject for clarity.

Hi, I recently installed Windows 7 and I have been experiencing slow internet speed ever since.  I have already updated the drivers for both network adapters (Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN ver 12.4 1.4 and the Intenl 82567LF Gigabet Network Connection ver 10.0.2.2).  I used to be able to recieve 6mb/s for downloads, but now it has been reduced to less than 1 mb/s. Here is my speed test:  http://www.speedtest.net/result/616886714.png  Are there other drivers or software that I need to update to get my speed back? Thanks

Answer:T400 Intel 5100 AGN help!

Probably completely unrelated but maybe not... I just put a test install of Win 7 Pro 64 on my T400 w/Intel 5100.  It was running Vista Biz 64 and working fine with my Linksys N router.  With '7 it wouldn't see the router most of the time, would occasionally see it and associate sometimes, and always drop in a few seconds. The "fix" was to enable QoS in the router.  Absolutely no idea why. Z.

Question: intel 5100 on t500

So it seems the adapter is acting up.  It sees networking n linux it refuses to obtain an ip adress.  Windows 7 sees the network will connect sometimes but has a slooooooow connection and sometimes won't load the page.  Other times it won't connect.  I use another computer on same network and the internal adapter works fine.  It seem's other people are reporting the same problem. Has anybody heard of this problem or have a possible fix?

Yes i had a similar issue with this card in my T400 and X200. It is a hardware problem with the intel wireless card.

just bought the SL500 and am not sure why the connection speed is so shotty. i'm connecting to a LINKSYS WRT54GX4 802.11g @2.4ghz. the max i'm getting outta this connection is 54Mbps but usually much less...20Mbps or less. this router is capable of 100Mbps on 802.11g 2.4ghz and i connect at this speed with my wireless PCI adapter (same make and model) 5 floors away in my desktop. am i limited to these speeds on 802.11g?? thanks...m

Answer:Intel AGN 5100 thru-put on SL500

My connection speed problems are far far worse. I have an old Buffalo bg AP, and it's very strange. I get good responsiveness on accessing web pages, but speeds of 2.5kbps on downloading files. Any clues? I tried disabling n, I tried a whole bunch of different settings on the WLAN device, but I can not get anywhere close to reasonable download speeds. Is it a conflict between Access Connections, and Windows Network Control? It kind of feels that way, but I'm not done investigating yet.

Hi Guys,

I'm currently trying to work out a problem regarding my WiFi card on my L670-14M.

The old Wifi card died on us, so I decided to buy a Intel 7620 card to replace it. This installed fine, and is recognized by the device manager, and I can now find the wifi card in the adapter settings menu.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to go any further. The wireless logo in the corner appears, but with a red "X" through it.

I've tried:
Disabling and enabling the cardUsing the FN+F8 key combinationUpdating the BIOSRunning the troubleshooter (It tells me to switch on the WiFi capabilities via a switch on the computer or the FN keys. I have no switch and the FN key combination doesn't work.I've also attempted to clear the TCP/IP stack to no avail.

All I can guess now is that the card is either incompatible with this laptop, or maybe there's something in the registry that could be changed/removed to help? I've tried several different cards too (as this is a work laptop and we've bought the cards in bulk) and it's not due to a faulty card.

Thanks,

YoYoMachete

Are you going to add Intel 7260 AC  WiFi card to X230's BIOS whitelist in the future?I'm thinking about upgrading my wifi-card to an Intel AC card. Thank you.

Additional setup info:Dual HDDs (Win7 Pro & XP Pro)
XP Pro ? LAN & WiFi work fine (orig. configuration from Dell)
Win7 ? neither LAN nor WiFi work (Win7 added after purchase)
I was working on setting up an outdoor WiFi antenna a couple of days ago when my problems started. I was working in Win7, which I had not been using that often. My LAN connection was not working, and I realized the driver had not been installed. I downloaded it from Dell?s website and installed it. I received an error message about SNMP service not being installed. I turned the service from disabled to auto. I do not know if my LAN adapter is now working. That is my first problem. My second problem happened when even though my WiFi card had been working fine, I decided to see if its driver had been updated. It was not. I believe a Microsoft driver was installed. It was working just fine though (smile), so I had to mess with it. I downloaded the driver from Del??s website and installed it. That is when my problems started. The WiFi card has not worked since. First I realized I installed the wrong driver. I uninstalled it and installed the correct one. I even restored the system to before I messed with any drivers. No luck. My WiFi card still does not work. The iNtel utility states it fails the hardware test and passes the driver test. Windows 7 states it cannot find any wireless networks (if I switch to XP Pro everything works). I am at a loss and very frustrated. Can anyone help me please?

Answer:Intel 5100agn WiFi Card – hardware failure, driver ok

I have been searching all week for a solution. I found so many people with the no wireless networks problem when they switched to Windows 7 (just like my experience). Well, my solution was to repair my Kaspersky anti-virus installation. [I cannot remember the site I found the information on to give the person credit. I am immensely grateful though.]

Answer:Z580 dont accept my new intel 6235 wifi card

welcome to the community.

what you're experiencing is that the card is not on the BIOS "whitelist". the only way to have the card work in your machine is with an unofficially modified BIOS. this is not generally recommended and would likely void your machine's warranty. i'm sure this is not what you wanted to learn... sorry.

regards.

My X200s uses Intel N 5300 WiFi card. But I need this slot for mpcia SSD. Can I use half size Intel N 5300 wifi card at Turbo Memory slot if I remove half size Turbo Memory?

Answer:Half size Intel N 5300 WiFi card for X200s

if it is from Lenovo then yes, otherwise no. Lenovo never sold any Thinkpads with a half size Intel 5300 card AFAIK, so if you are getting a generic one then the answer is no, it won't work in your machine. the slot on the X200s won't support mSATA drives.

Does anybody know whether the mini PCIe card "Intel® Dualband Wireless-AC 7260" is compatible with the Acer M5-581TG ?I would like to upgrade the card to use AC WLAN and Miracast / Intel WiDi.

Both are half height mini PCIe cards (as shown below) so the Intel should physically fit.Assuming drivers are available, you should be ok (but I haven't tried!).

Hello, My IdeaPad Y530 has mini PCI-E Intel 5100 card. I would like to use another card, with Broadcom chip (Intel is very problematic with Linux or other OS). I know that IdeaPad has in BIOS whitelist of accepted WLAN cards. - Does anybody know what non-Intel card will 100% work with IdeaPad Y530? I need a/b/g/n compatible card.- Or does any BCM94321MC card will 100% work with IdeaPad Y530? Thanks for any help!
