BSOD When playing games and playing flash player.

Question: BSOD When playing games and playing flash player.

Hello guys. So here is my issue i dont really know how to specific it further then this still hope it will help.

I have been getting BSOD for a while now and it's getting to the point i cant do a single thing on the computer. I did the config for dumps and so on and ended up with this RAR file with all the info i assume. I mostly get the bluescreen when i try to watch anime etc on googlechrome. It never works it's a matter of seconds before the BSOD comes. But when watching it on other browsers like opera it works just fine "mostly" even there it bluescreens from time to time. And then there is when it's most fatal, Playing onlinegames. Whenever I play online games like World of warcraft, League of Legends, Heroes of Neweart etc etc etc i risk getting bluescreens. It differs very much from game to game how often the bluescreens appear and it seems to not be preformance related since sometimes i play constantly for hours when maxing out games and pushing the computer to it's limits when it comes to frames. And still the bluescreen lies in dorment waiting for a more suitable interrupt for me. From the looks of it the bluescreen is related mostly to my operatingsystem more then commponents after i looked at the dumpfiles via "Bluescreenviewer".

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this and i hope you guys can help me with this. also this is my first post so I maybe did this typical "bad thread", Still i hope this will get me atleast closer to the solution of this current hell of bluescreens.

Preferred Solution: BSOD When playing games and playing flash player.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, well i built my own computer a couple of years back and I've been having nothing but trouble. I've slowly been upgrading my hardware because i thought the kit i had wasn't good enough for gaming, and nothing has seemed too work. I've spent around ?500 all together building this PC. I'm running windows 7 ultimate x64 OEM. I've been debating posting here for a long time, but now I'm just fed up so i thought I'd see if you guys have any advice Thanks very much guys, my logs and HTML files are attached!

I have Windows XP sp3, Internet Explorer 8, and I have unticked IE's "play sounds in websites" option in the settings. Flash doesn't have an option for anything audio related.

How do I mute or disable the audio during advertisements while playing games that use flash player? The audio in these ads is always two times as loud as the music playing in the background. It doesn't matter if I'm using windows media player, winamp, VLC, or watching videos on youtube, when the ads start playing their audio is always louder than everything else. for a while they would have an option to mute on the ad, but not anymore.

I am having a hard time finding any information on this subject and it's frustrating. These ad's are intrusive, unnecessary, and they pop up every couple minutes.

Pogo.com is where I play these games that use flash player. In order to play there games, there can't be any pop up blockers running.

There has got to be a way to disable the audio from playing during these ads. If not, then the advertisers have way to much pull in this world.

Thank you for your time.

You can't, unless you just mute the volume on the computer.

When children play Adobe flash games (not all, only some) the computer falls in BSOD. Any other games (including hard 3D games and 3D-tests) and apps work well (of course, there were some errors but withous BSOD). I suggest some driver is responsible for BSOD, but what driver?
Thanks for your attention to my problem.

Answer:BSOD playing some FLASH games

Hello vicontfreetime and welcome to Seven Forums.

According to your most recent dump file, your computer seems to have a problem with mouclass.sys, a Windows mouse driver file. It might have gotten damaged or corrupt. Or perhaps your Adobe Flash got damaged or corrupt.

What is the mouclass.sys file?

Couple of things you can try. If you have another mouse, see if that works (easiest steps first .) If that fixes things, great. If not, I'd uninstall the Flash using the official Adobe uninstaller. Don't forget to delete all Flash files and folders (Steps 3.3a-d.)

Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

After uninstalling Flash I'd next run a full scan with your updated anti-malware suite just to rule out a malware issue. Then I'd see if a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two) can repair the mouse driver. If the SFC finds problems, run the scan 3 times and immediately reboot the computer after each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Finally, you can reinstall the latest version of Adobe Flash. Don't forget to uncheck any added toolbars, browsers, etc that Adobe may want to install.

Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player

That is from blue screen viewer obviously.

BSOD happens randomly. However when I get in heavily populated areas it happens more. I think it may be a heating issue. Updated all drivers recently with Driver Magician and double checked with Driver Booster 2. Also ran sfc /scannow and fixed 2 problems. Multiple dmp files so I'd start with the latest 2-3 since I did all that.

Hi everybody!

Ever since I got my new HIS HD6870 IceQ-X Turbo, while playing or even just watching a video on youtube, I keep getting either:
- Freeze/Black Screen then "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered" making applications crash.

- Freeze/Audio Loop/BSOD 116 telling me that my sweet atikmpag.sys betrayed me once again.

What I tried:

- Ran a memory test with built-in Windows 7 memory check for more than 6 passes and didn't get errors.

- Tried booting with only one memory stick (both of them)

- Tried every versions of ATI drivers.

- Re-installed Windows several times.

- Disabling any kind of OC.

- Increasing PCI-E bus frequency from 100mhz to 103mhz and this brought longer stability but it's definitely not resolving the trouble. (Bootlooping at 105 BTW)

- Tried graphic card at a friend's for 45mins and it didn't crash. But not sure the test was long enough.

- Put back my HD4870 and it ran pretty fine except that I got that BSOD once after playing for a while on Battlefield 3. So I don't know what to think.

EDIT: Also nothing is overheating, everything under 65?C on load and I updated BIOS to last version.

Well I'm running out of ideas so please HELP!!!!

My 3 last .dmp are attached..

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi guys, basically my old 6870 card died because of numerous BSODs it had over the 6 months throunh flash videos and it killed it with artifacts.

I have recently received a brand new XFX 6870 and have been using it over a month and its been happening again with flash videos as occasionally get BSOD randomly like 30 mins or even over an hour. which is pointing out
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\atikmpag.sys

and

Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

its even happened once last night on a game FIFA 12 which restarted and had this error
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

How will I be able to eliminate these problems? my system specs are below and I have built this system over 8 months and nothing is overclocked.

cheers

I've been having reoccurring BSODs for the past few weeks here. Normally it will happen while i play World of Warcraft in a player vs player match. During other video games or while watching/playing something on flash player will cause crashes but rarely a full blown BSOD, normally the program will just crash.

I have a XFX 9300 GeForce motherboard and i'm just running the onboard graphics currently. I've cleaned and installed all video drivers possible for windows 7 64 bit, and I replaced the ram for my computer two weeks ago.

Some times the BSOD is for a STOP 132, Other times it will be for a STOP 0x0a, and a few times ive seen it BSOD for a pointer reference error.

I've updated windows 7 and installed all security packs, run multiple virus scans, including rootkit scans, maleware, ect...

I've checked my bios, my CPU is not overheating. I've gone through the windows repair scan twice, checking windows for any problems. Just installed the SF diagnostic tool, I'm hoping you all can help me pinpoint this to a driver problem or a hardware problem, I'm at my wits end.

First off new to the forums and thank you in advance for any assistant that can be offered.
This problem started about 3/16/2013 then suddenly began having 5 BSOD over the next 2 months. Today a friend suggested that I use Windbg and analyze the mini dump file which I did and led me to an nvlddmkm.sys problem.

I get the nvidia driver stopped responding error while playing Portal 2, Left for Dead 2, Skyrim and has also happened while watching netflix. The GPU under 90% load stays at 60c, I have run memtest with no errors. The power supply is a Thermaltake 600W with 32a on 12v1 and 24amps on 12v2.

Attached the SF diagnostic folder with this thread.

Any questions please ask I will be checking this thread daily.

A nvlddmkm.sys driver problem is usually related to the installed Nvidia graphics card, but there could be other issues as well.

I recently built a computer for someone, with relevant specs as follows:

Gigabyte SKT-1155 PA65-UD3-B3
Intel 2500K
Komputerbay 1333Mhz PC3 10600 / PC3 10666 8-8-8-24 1.5v 8 GB KIT
ASUS GTX 560

Ever since I delivered it to him, it's been either freezing (often with popping from his headphones) indefinitely or producing BSODs. These can be as often as a couple of times a day.

Generally the crashes occur when he is gaming or watching Youtube videos, but sometimes they also occur upon restarting the computer immediately after a crash.

Since we both have little time on our hands, it's become a game of trying to troubleshoot the computer remotely, thus far with limited success. I've tried replacing the memory as I thought this might have been the issue, but that didn't help.

I would be immensely grateful if somebody could have a look at the contents of his MiniDump folder, as having tried to interpret them myself I haven't got very far.

Thanks

Hello my laptop started crashing every time i play games and watch videos on player.

Code:
Windows 7 Ultimate x32 OEM
I reformatted it a month ago so i thought it would be fix but its still not fixed... I also thought it would be the heat or the usage of memory but i still haven't found what the problem is i keep getting random BSOD's about usbport.sys and other but i get more error codes....

Answer:BSOD when playing games or watching videos on a player...

Heat:
- only use the laptop on a hard surface - with nothing blocking any of the vents.
- use a laptop cooling pad if possible
- blow out all vents with canned air (DO NOT use a vacuum cleaner or an air compressor, they can damage the components).
- ensure that the fan comes on and is blowing air out of the vent (may not happen at startup, but should happen after using it for a while).

If you suspect memory, try these free diagnostics: Hardware Diags
If you reinstall Windows to fix a problem, and the problem remains - then it's most likely that this is a hardware problem. The diagnostics will help to rule out some of that.

I notice a Hotspot Shield network component. We've seen issues with this program recently. I'd suggest uninstalling it to test and see if it's the cause of the BSOD's.

Memory dumps blame hardware, with one blaming your video hardware.
Update the video drivers from the PC manufacturer's website (yours date from 2009).
If problems continue, then run the video tests from the hardware diagnostics link above.

Uninstall SpeedFan - one of it's drivers dates from 1996!

Update drivers for your Media Card reader - they date from 2008

Your CIR (Infrared) device drivers date from 2007 - please update them also.

I have been getting the BSODs for 3 days now (started on 19/07/2013).
They happened more or less at random times.
First time right after boot I launched a browser flash game and that killed it.
Then I was changing settings of Steam and it died again
One more time happened while I was waiting for it to boot, was not touching anything even.
Next time I did not launch any games, was just doing browsing. It was fine for 40 minutes, then I risked starting a flash game again, played for 7 minutes - bsod again.
I don't think all of these got logged, but should be around 6-7 by now.

Used the BlueScreenView tool to see that the problem was caused by ntoskrnl.exe.

Tried uninstalling the latest windows update (critical update installed on 19/07/2013), but that did not solve the problem.
Reinstalling Windows is NOT an option for me since my Windows came on some restore CD thing that formats everything.

P.S. Sorry my Windows is in Russian, so some of the log files ended up having a lot of Russian in it as well as some weird symbols, caused most probably by some encoding errors.

Hello sevenforums Community,
since about month im getting Bluescreens, which never happened before in 4 years.
It usually get the when i watch streams on twitch (which didnt happen since 1 week on my account though) or currently while playing League of Legends.
But they dont come every game, so i can for example play 4 games in a row and nothing happens or i get 3 one them in one game. Also they can come at any game time. It is kind of random to me how they appear.
The last two days I got about 7 so i really need help from u guys.
In the last two weeks i always got this message (STOP : 0x00007A (0xFFFF6FC50023598,0xFFFFFFFFC000000E,0x000000002A991880,0xFFFFF8A0046B30BE) ) without a sound and the pc didnt instantly reboot.
But the last days the Blackscreen stayed like 4 second so i couldnt see the error message on it, so i dont know if the error changed but there was this buzzing sound.

I really appreciate help (and sorry for my english skills ^^)

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. Hi Guys,

I have issues with my desktop. I randomly get the bsod (kernel data inpage error). I thought it started after I installes the new ATI drivers. So I tried older drivers but without any result. After that I thought it was an issues with Win 7 64bit. So I installed 32bit. But still I get the bsdod.

can you please help?

I have a new installed os.The old one started giving trouble after 2 years.

Answer:BSOD randomly after playing games or playing movies )

SP1 isn't installed, please do the following:

Quote:
Installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1
1. Visit the PC manufacturer's website and update ALL drivers. DO NOT use Windows Update or the "Update drivers" function of Device Manager.
2. Check Device Manager for any unknown/disabled devices - if there are unknown/disabled devices, fix them with the latest drivers from the device manufacturer's website (not the PC Manufacturer)
3. Visit Windows Update and get all updates (may take repeated visits)
4. Visit Windows Update and get Service Pack 1 (usually under Important Updates). Read these notes for installing SP1: Steps to follow before you install Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 from the Microsoft Download Center
5. Visit Windows Update and get any other available updates. May take repeated visits, but keep it up until you get several "Windows is updated" results.
If you're having difficulties with installing a Service Pack, please use the SURTool from this link: What is the System Update Readiness Tool?
Also, check out this troubleshooting link from Microsoft: Troubleshoot problems installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

I have had limited success in installing updates/Service Packs when using a "clean boot". I suspect that I'm just bypassing the problem - and that it can come back to bite me in the butt later on.

Hello all,

I've been having a few problems with my laptop since I bought it. The problem mainly occurs when I'm playing a game (usually xcom: enemy unknown or deus ex HR at the moment) but has occurred when I'm browsing the internet (albeit far less often). The BSODs appear to be random but I'm using a blue tooth mouse and have noticed the BSOD will usually happened if I'm using it. I've also noticed that my laptop screen with black out for a split second on games that are quite graphics intensive for my system.

Its been frustrating me a lot so I reinstalled and fully updated windows 7. The GPU drivers are all up to date also.

I've attached the SF file that is required and would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks for your time

Hello, I have a question. My Lenovo Yoga 720 15.6" doesn't overheat, although I've noticed something rather odd. When I play Fifa 17 with the charger plugged in, the fans are very loud and the laptop gets pretty hot. When I play Fifa 17 on battery only (charger not plugged in) the fans are quite silent and the laptop doesn't get hot at all. Why is that? For all I know, I would expect the exact opposite...Thanks in advance!Kind regards,Tijs

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 720 15" : hot when playing games on charger, cool when playing games on battery???

The CPU runs at full speed when it is plugged in and runs more slowly on battery to save power.  Faster = more heat.

I am having trouble displaying flash content in websites such as youtube, boreme and others. I am getting the message "you either have javascript disabled or an old version of flash player". When I use the "web player test" feature on the Adobe site it says flash is working and gives the correct version number.

I have Javascript enabled, I have the latest java installed and I have tried numerous different versions of Flash player, from both Adobe and other standalone installers I have downloaded.

I have been through the uninstall/install sequence numerous times using uninstallers downloaded from Adobe.

I have tried IE6, IE7 and firefox and none seem to work.. I have checked through my settings in internet explorer options and nothing seems to help. I also reset the settings and went back through and set-up everything again but still no joy.

When I opt to display error messages for script errors I get some of the following errors:

"SWF Object" is undefined
"UFO" is undefined
unterminated string constant
object expected
"undefined" is null or not an object

I used to be able to view flash stuff no problem but it just suddenly seemed to stop working for no obvious reason.

Any ideas?

Hi!
This is my first post here.

I have been having some BSOD problems with my newly built computer.

It is Windows 7 x64.
Just assembled this system with the following new components:
- OS: MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
- Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
- MoBo: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8Z68-V LX (LGA1155)
- RAM: Kingston (KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8G) 8,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1600MHz (9-9-9-24), 1.65v - HyperX Blu [I think this might be the problem, but not sure because they are only working at 1.5v and 1333MHz]
- Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio
- HDD:244GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAKX-001CA0 ATA Device (SATA) [used for the OS]
- Optical Drive: Asus DVD +/-RW

Components I already had:
- Graphics: 256MB GeForce 8400 GS (ASUStek Computer Inc)
- 1954GB Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166 ATA Device (SATA) [used for storage]
- 78GB Seagate ST380011 SCSI Disk Device (RAID) [used for storage]
- 160GB Maxtor Maxtor 6 SCS [used for storage]
- Case
- PSU: OCZ 600W

This system was assembled last 29 March 2012 (HW and SW).

The problem that I am facing happens when using any browser (IE9, FF, Chrome and Opera - all latest versions) and playing flash based games (mostly on FaceBook) but also on Yahoo and also playing videos. In Chrome, sometimes the flash just stops and the content of the page becomes with a message "the shockwave plugin crashed - reload the page and try again" and a message appears at the top of the window right after the... So the title pretty much says it all. The keyboard works fine, its brand new and the only time I have any problems is while attempting to play a flash based game on the internet.
I have already tried clicking the game box, this is not the problem.
I am using Google chrome and have windows 7 ultimate edition.
I think a recent update I received is causing the problem since it was working fine before and just started doing this.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so very much

I might only offer some help, but you could try this:

uninstall both flash player (should be in control panel>uninstall program) and any keyboard drivers you have at the moment. Then try going to adobe's website and your keyboard manufaturer's website and download and install the newest flash for chrome 32 bit (make sure you get it right) and your 32 bit keyboard driver.

Hi guys. My mother is looking to upgrade her laptop and has asked me to help her find a replacement. The only things she uses her old one for is playing flash-based facebook games and internet banking. She doesn't install programs on her current Windows 10 laptop so we just need something basic but fast and efficient, also quite cheap. I've been looking at the Acer Chromebook 15 with a 15.6" screen, 4GB RAM, Intel Celeron Processor 3205U and a 32GB SSD. We really don't need a lot of hard-drive space.

Can anyone tell me if this device would be suitable for playing flash-based clicky facebook farming games? The thing that worries me is the CPU since I understand that flash games can be pretty CPU-intensive? I want to keep the price sub-£250.

So I recently opened my CPU because it was lagging and I thought maybe a little clean up might do the trick. So I softly brushed the drivers inside the CPU to get some dust off. However, when I turned on my PC, it seems that whenever I watch videos or play games, a loud crackling sound comes out from my speakers. I don't know what is causing this.

I have tried disabling my drivers (sound and display) but to no avail. However, if I mute the volume on my sound driver, the sound disappears. Which lead me to the conclusion that it might be a conflict of sound and display.

Since the problem only occured when I opened my CPU and cleaned it, it might also be a wiring problem or something.

Can someone help me on this?

From the program Blue Screen Viewer it seems to be caused by ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0 and/or ntoskrnl.exe+7e769
I can not find any solution to fix this issue, I have updated drivers, I have ran the Microsoft memory checker, , I have changed out my memory, tried 2 other video cards, tried two different wireless network cards, now on wired connection, I even changed motherboards, got the errors on both SSD and HDD. The only things I haven't changed out is the PS and CPU, since I am using the PC to write this I am ruling out the CPU as the issue.

I have used Memtest86 and prime95 to test the memory and CPU, nothing is coming back with errors or issues. I did run driver verifier and got two .dmp files for some specific files but not sure what to do with those now. They are included in the attachement

It seems to be software/driver issue but I can not figure it out.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Appears to be a "memory corruption" problem. This could be a memory module fault, wrong drivers loaded, corrupt system store or a virus. (or a combination) I would start by running spf scannow followed by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) in safe mode. If neither will run, run a memory test. Some corrupt system store errors showed up so you may end up having to do a Repair install of Windows.

Hello All

I have an HP Pavilion p7-1254 (at least started as that, had some stuff upgraded, explained below), AMD A6-3620 2.2Ghz Quad Core with AAHD2-HL board; save you the time of looking it up if needed. What happens is the system with will just freeze. Occasionally the audio that was playing with stutter infinitely like a skipping CD. Rarely I notice the system will stutter once or twice before totally freezing, happens in a couple seconds. But mostly, it just stops. When it freezes, the only option is to hard reboot.

I have had this problem for quite some time, probably about a year or two. At first I really didn't notice any consistency in the crashes, seems totally random. Some times it would freeze while browsing any random page, be it videos, forums, ad ridden or ad free. Any browser as well; Chrome, Firefox, IE. It also crashes when playing some games although not other games that have higher requirements; e.g. Guaranteed to crash, probably within 10 mins, if I play '8-bit Boy' on Steam (about as low res as implied) but I can go on 4 and 5 hour binges on Elder Scrolls Online or Skyrim with no crashes. I have recently noticed that YouTube videos (any video) is a guaranteed crash within a 20-30 seconds.

I have tried everything I have been able to find to do, to try and fix this issue; but none have worked. So far the hardware parts that have been replaced with new components are the RAM (now 2x4GB GEIL Enhanced Corsa PC3-12800), HDD (now 2TB WD Cavi... Read more

Hello, first time poster looking for help as I can't diagnose my issue after trying numerous things. Currently when I play a game the BSOD happens randomly, I can go a whole day without it, or it can happen frequently. It happens the most when I close or exit a game, then it'll kick to a blue screen.

I really appreciate what you guys do and I hope I followed all the instructions right on how to post my logs and stuff, here's the attachment and some basic system specs:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
I have reinstalled to this computer numerous times.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad q9550 @ 2.83 ghz

Before we can even begin to find the underlying cause you need to update the following drivers. Especially asacpi.sys. Yours is from 2005

Code:
ASACPI.sys 3/27/2005 10:30:36 PM
Lycosa.sys 1/18/2008 4:51:42 AM
nvm62x64.sys 10/17/2008 5:01:06 PM
netr28x.sys 2/25/2009 11:02:09 PM
How To Find Drivers:

Quote:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference

I've been having this issue for nearly a year now (probably around 9 months). It started after my little sister made me get a virus by her trying to download something onto my laptop. I've since taken it to a reputable computer shop as well as followed instructions from other computer wizs and I think it's no longer there. Issue is, my computer has kind of developed another problem after that. It freezes on it's own sometimes, when I pick it up or even when it's on a desk and immobile. It would also freeze when I play a game sometimes, loud buzzing sound as the game continues in loops I believe. I had BSOD problems earlier this year that was solved (Apparently. I haven't gotten any in about 4-5 months) when I had Windows 7 but this issue still persists.

When it would freeze and I manually turn off my computer and turn it back on, the laptop would sometimes say no wifi could be detected. At all. Not mine, not my neighbors, nothing. I've never really taken it out of the house so I don't know if it'd act the same elsewhere. I would then shut it down and take out the battery for 30 seconds before putting it back in. Sometimes the wifi would work then or I'd go connect it to my Internet Modem and the wifi would start working over there too.

So I'm not sure what's causing this problem. It's not overheating as I had it cleaned less than 4 months ago by a professional. I've had this laptop for two years and I really wanted it to last me at least 4 because I'll be going into an ani... Read more

Hi,

I just recently built a gaming pc and I am having trouble with BSOD: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. The only time that these errors happen are when I am playing a taxing game like Far Cry 4 or Assassins Creed. It usually happens between 10 to 45 min of playing. I have updated all of my drivers including my Bios. I have also looked at my windows updates and noticed that there are a few that failed. I don't know if they are important but I just thought I would let you know. I'd be grateful for any help. I'm pretty sure those are my dump files below.

Thanks,

Hi Justin & welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error condition.

So, let's check the parameter 2 of the dump file -

So I have been having blue screens occasionally when playing games. I previously had a lot, but once I took out one of my RAM cards, which would constantly cause BSOD when put under stress. Its not really just BSOD I guess BSOD is a end result of the crashes I keep getting its the all too well known problem with : display driver xxx stopped responding and has recovered. I've been fighting with this problem ever since I got my new graphic card ( detailed specs later ) from time to time when I play a 3d game (doesnt have to be with really intensive graphics) the screen goes black for a couple of seconds then recovers ( unfortunately in some games it does not recover ) multiple flickers like this usually result in a BSOD. The worst thing is that its completely unpredictable and some of the newest graphic intensive games for example might not get the crash at all while others get it multiple times in a row same with some older titles ... Now theres a lot to say so I apologize for the quite chaotic post build :P Lets start with what Ive tried in order to fix or find out whats wrong:

- I tried many different NVIDIA drivers very old ones like 175 and the newest one currently 295 I think ? also many in between those 2 with no real results what sometimes seemed like a fix was just the randomness factor,

- I tried various different settings changes to the NVIDIA control panel which I found on the internet as theres tons of people having similar problem but theres just as many fixes,

- I bought a new PSU a 600W Thermaltake TR2 Bronze which supplies more than enough power,

- I tried different cords with no real result,

- I checked for viruses and I formatted and instal... Read more

Stop 0x124 is a hardware error

If you are overclocking try resetting your processor to standard settings and see if that helps.

If you continue to get BSOD here are some more things you may want to consider.

This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is"possible" that it is driver related (rare).

Quote:
Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try
Synopsis:

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.
Generic "Stop 0x124" Troubleshooting Strategy:

1) Ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Hardware that is driven beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - can malfunction in unpredictable ways.
2) Ensure that the machine is adequately cooled.
If there is any doubt, open up the side of the PC case (be mindful of any relevant warranty conditions!) and point a mains fan squarely at the motherboard. That will rule out most (lack of) cooling issues.
3) Update all hardware-related drivers: video, sound, RAID (if any), NIC... anything that interacts with a piece of hardware.
It is good practice to run the latest drivers anyway.
4) Update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instruct... Read more

Hi Guys!

The BSOD-s started with Battlefield 3. Then I tried every kind of solution which i found online, but nothing worked. Then I recently did a full system refresh, Battlefield crashed again. So I got used to it, and played other games like Trine 2 or Counter Strike Global Offensive. Those games worked just fine, but now they're also crashing. Anything else works fine, older games also work. After 10 or 15 minutes of play. Usually I find the root of the problem but now this tricks me well.

Now the PSU is suspicious for me. My card needs minimum 500w, i have this exact amount. But maybe it's not enough for fully powering the videocard.

Thank you in advance!

A fellow gamer.

Hi everyone! So for the past month i have been experiencing BSOD very often(2-3 times a day) and i have no clue why is that. Its happening either while i am playing games or if i have multiple tabs open on the browser.

I was getting a bit frustrated since i don't know what is causing it and started cleaning my computer from viruses and updating all of my drivers. Still no luck with that so i came here for some help. It also seems to be limiting my internet performance and that is quite worrying too.

My system after the BSOD always starts with the message "Windows recovered from an unexpected shut down" when i boot up. This is the error message:

Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown

Hello all,

I recently purchased a new computer solely for gaming purposes. Everything seemed fine untill I started getting BSOD's while gaming, ranging from apc index mismatch to the IRQL error. Now instead of returning it immediately I thought I'd come here for some advice from you guys.

I added the minidumps and if you need any additional information I'd be more than willing to give it.
Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I use this computer mainly to work with Adobe software (PS, AI, Premiere and After effects),
Specially After effects, push the hardware to the limits, oddly when I play some games like Metal Gear Solid V, or recent FPS that push harder from the hardware I can be sure that a BSOD will happen, it can take hours, or minutes, but sooner or later it will happen.
So here's the description:

Answer:BSOD When playing games

Ok guys after I posted this I felt some guilt because I rarely need help on computer issues, so I decided to make a full check again and discovered that I had the Ram assembled in the wrong Dimm slots. It was supposed to be in A2 and B2 since I have 2*8 Gb, and it was on A1 and B2, probably causing memory errors?

Thank you.

I recently downgraded drivers to 295.73 to solve the pink screen issue with my GTX 550ti, and my games began randomly closing with no error. It is only steam games that are graphics intensive. The main two I play are Skyrim and Far Cry 2. When I played Medieval II it never crashed on me. I also had no errors with a non steam game, Civilization 4. All games are played on max settings.

I grew tired of the constant closings with no error, so I just went back to the new 296.10 drivers. I began playing Skyrim again and within 5 minutes I get a BSOD.

My system specs:
Intel Core i3 2120 3.3GHz
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1333MHz
EVGA GTX 550ti FPB (I have OC'd it before but not in a while and I got no errors when it was. This is happening on stock speeds.)
1TB WD Caviar Black SATA III
ASRock H61M/U3S3
485 Watt PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I play all games at max settings on a 1920x1080 resolution connected via DVI.
Case is very cool, cannot be over heating. Temps always below 65c.

Here is the error I get when Windows recovers:

Hi everyone I hope you can help me and if you can't thank you in advance for your time and effort.

So my computer BSOD's every now and then while playing games, really annoying but I just dealt with it.

Recently I got an ssd and decided to upgrade to windows 7 (from xp) with that. It wasn't bad at first but now it crashes within 5 minutes of starting a game (starcraft 2 and league of legends are the two games I play).

I do not believe that it is a heat issue as idle temperature is about 45 celsius and at time of crash the temperature is only at 55 or so.

I have up to date graphics drivers.

Dumps included as attachment. If you need any other information just ask and I will respond as quickly as I can.

I would really appreciate any help you could offer and again thank you for your time,
Aequitas

Upgraded to vista ultimate yesterday and everything is working fine except when I play games one of 3 things happen:

1) The system hangs with the sound going nuts with no blue screen.
2) The system hangs but the sound keeps going for a few seconds then goes nuts with no blue screen.
3) The system hangs the sound goes nuts and I get a blue screen.

Got my first BSOD about a hour and a half ago and been trying to read it and see what I can make out of it but nothing is working as I have no clue how to use the win debug tools. But, it did give me one thing.

CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

But I need to know what is causing it. If it is hardware related then I need to go and replace it if needed (everything is under a extended warranty) or if i need to update some drivers.

Also for some reason or another I cant post it. WinRAR is giving me this error:

! C:\Users\Eric\Desktop\Mini092408-01.rar: Cannot open C:\Users\Eric\Desktop\Mini092408-01.dmp
! Access is denied.

I will go ahead and replicate it right now.

I also have to contact microsoft support tommrow so if you have anything that I should mention to them while i am talking with them at that time, let me know.

Answer:BSOD from playing games.

Hi Eric. . .

Download the attached zip file and extract the 2 files to your desktop.

Go to your desktop, right-click on the batch file and select run as administrator. You will see the black "DOS" screen appear and scroll, the green status bar and finally the AutoRuns screen. When Autoruns is finished (look at bottom left of AutoRuns viewer - status = scanning...) it will disappear. This batch program will take 3 - 5 minutes to run.

It will copy any mini kernel dump files, dump the app and system logs, run AutoRuns, msinfo32 and dxdiag. The output will be in a new folder found within your documents folder named TSF_Vista_Support. Simply right-click on the new folder, select SendTo, select Compressed (Zipped) Folder. The result will be a zip file in your documents folder named TSF_Vista_Support.zip.

Attach the zip file to your next post and I will take a look.

Any ? - please let me know.

Regards. . .

After getting my uncle to reinstall Windows 7 for me,, I'v had about 4 BSOD's recently. All of the BSODS happen when I'm playing a game, and I thought first it might of been because windows 7 was out of date, so I fully updated it and got a more stable version of my driver, but not too long after that I started playing CS:GO and it got a BSOD. No idea whats going on. My computer worked perfectly fine with no BSOD's before reinstalling Windows 7 which is odd. Most of the time it got a BSOD it was because I alt tabbed out of the game.

Thanks.

Alright So I've posted on here before trying to get help for a BSOD problem, but had no luck. I'm here again to see if somebody knows a solution at this point. Here is what I know so far, my game crashes after 10-15 mins. of gameplay depending on the game. The BSOD would change from Memory_Management to System_Service_Exception and maybe even Pool Corruption. I believe the problem started after I updated to the newest video drivers and my games run fine without my graphics card installed(Ofcourse at a significantly lower setting). Memtest found no errors with the RAM. Also when I know my game is about to crash into a BSOD, if i tab out real wuick I could see it say that nvidia kernel driver stopped and recovered following up with a bsod almost instantly. Been looking on the web for answers for weeks and haven't found any. I've tried changing my drivers to an older version with no success. I'm stuck and I need some answers.

My specs are...
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1075T Processor
Memory:8GB Kit (4GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

Answer:BSOD while playing games.

The likely culprits are your graphics card or your PSU. What PSU are you using?

Obviously, there are other possible reasons for the crashes, but the two mentioned should be checked first.

As to the crashes, the latest was a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, and the previous was a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT crash yielded little useful information. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION typically means a graphics card problem, but yours was indicating a network issue. The network relation could be a false positive, or it could be related to your Atheros driver that needs to be updated. I see a couple drivers that should be updated:
Code:
ASACPI fffff880`04112000 fffff880`0411a000 Sun Mar 27 20:30:36 2005 (42476c4c) 00003c77 ASACPI.sys

For ASACPI.sys: ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS M4A78LT-M LE -> Download -> Windows 7 64bit -> Utilities -> ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Win7 32&64-bit

For L1C62x64.sys: ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS M4A78LT-M LE -> Download -> Windows 7 64bit -> LAN -> Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Ethernet Controller V1.0.0.14 for Windows 7 32bit/7 64bit

*this is the second thread I'm creating for this. the reason I'm starting a new one is because I ran into some technical difficulties last time and it discouraged people from helping me*

I've got a 6 month old gaming PC and I've been playing minecraft for almost as long, and about a month ago it started freezing, crashing and occasionally giving me BSOD. then max payne 3 came out and I can't play more than one match without getting BSOD. both games only do this while playing multiplayer.

my specs:
Radeon HD 5770
AMD phenom 9850 quad core
8 GB RAM
asus m2n32-sli deluxe motherboard
windows 7 64 bit

I already ran memtestx86 and sfc /scannow, neither found any errors. I also completely defragged my hard drive, restored BIOS, updated several drivers and completely wiped all video drivers and reinstalled.

This weekend I had several BSODs while playing games. 2 times the system simply crashed black screen and restarted, 1 time I received a BSOD MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error, and 2 times I received a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN error and a restart. The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and one black screen crash occurred while playing Forged Alliance Supreme Commander, then the IRQL errors and a black screen crash occurred while playing Steam version of Age of Empires II. First time request, let me know if I can help more.

Hi guys I have a ATI 7770 Video card (XFX) and after re-imaging my computer on a fresh hard drive I'm continuously getting BSODs while playing intense games. Everything is up to date to my knowledge. I re-imaged on a new drive after having the same issues on an old drive. I have included the last 2 dumps and am just wondering what the issue is and what I can do to fix it. Full specs are MSI 790XT motherboard, 8GB DDR2, AMD Phenom II 945 at 3.0 GHZ and an XFX ATI 7770 video card. Thanks in advance!

First of all, first time posting a thread here so don't judge me all to harshly if I do something incorrect.

I am getting BSOD's while playing several different games such as Sleeping dogs, SMITE and War Thunder. Also has started to happen while I am using ACDSee.

The message I get when seeing the BSOD is "STOP: 0x00000124 (0x000000000000000,0xFFFFFA800794E024,0X00000000B6004000,0X00000000F4000175)

I have earlier been able to receive dumps(accidentally deleted these) but in the last week my computer no longer saves the dumps for some reason. I have followed some guides as to manually set the page file but to no avail.

(I have a vague memory of that ntoskrnl.exe was to blame in the last minidump which i saw)

I would appreciate any and all answers you give me!

Answer:BSOD when playing several games

Hello Qyratar, Welcome to SF

Afraid there is nothing specific we can tell you without any dump files other than the fact that 0x124 = WHEA uncorrectable error = hardware issue BSOD Index

Have a look at this thread Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try
As you said it happens when gaming then its likely to be related to GFX drivers/temperatures so i would start there

Any further crashes then post back the new dump files

Greetings, I have a problem with my pc. Generally I can handle most of the problems that I encounter, but this one is starting to get to me. I BSOD while playing games, at first I thought it was just World of Warcraft since it's the game I play most. But lately it's starting to happen during others. I updated my Radeon HD 6850 to the newest drivers thinking that it would fix it, but it didn't. Sometimes I can play for hours and hours and not have a single problem, and other times it's crashing after a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I would also like to say that my pc kind of stutters right before the BSOD.

Answer:BSOD playing WoW, and a few other games

I just had another crash, I added the second set of crash reports. Thanks.

I've been getting consistent blue screens every couple hours while playing games since I built my computer.

It only seems to happen when I'm playing games. I get various different reasons, (bad_pool_caller, dxmmm1.sys or something, cant remember the others offhand)
I have a feeling its all related to my graphics card. I've updated the drivers, used driver sweeper to clear out any old ones, updated some outdated drivers manually.
But it just keeps happening. I've attached everything I need... I think, I haven't done anything like this before, so please tell me if there is any other information you need.

Hello!

I am getting BSOD errors on occasion, as far as I can tell only when playing games.
I was having this happen a few months ago and was going to post, but it stopped suddenly - until yesterday! Now I've had another BSOD yesterday & today. Yesterday happened while playing Skyrim. Today happened while playing Age of Empires Online. I have previously tried updating my graphics drivers - I have *not* done so recently before these past two days, when the crashes started again.

One thing to note: It seems very random.. I can play a game for hours on end, and have no problems..

I tried to follow the guidelines for posting, I hope it is all correct.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

tl;dr - BSOD while playing games. Can play for hours without it happening. Cannot reliably reproduce. Has not happened outside of a game. Thanks for your help!

Answer:BSOD while playing various games

You appear to be running a DELL OEM on a retail motherboard, which is not possible unless it employs a hackers activation bypass. There is no point troubleshooting this until we can be sure the problems aren't caused by the counterfeit installation.

My recommendation is to purchase a genuine Windows 7, then format and reinstall Windows 7.

Answer:BSOD While playing games

Usually the main causes of BSOD is of hardware problems perhaps your graphics card or mother board,
sometimes software applications can also cause BSOD so if you installed anything new try uninstalling/reinstalling it or use the "last know good configuration" option in your pc.

For more info about the BSOD try this link:

Hey, this is my first post so bare with me :P.

I am getting some BSOD when playing games. Somtimes it will happen, sometimes it won't. If it is going to happen then it will usually happen within 10 minutes of starting the game. It also seems that a simple reboot (rebooting after the BSOD) is not sufficient. I have to cut the power via the power switch on the psu.

I have read some minidumps but with my limited knowledge I don't really know what I am looking at. All i can see from these that might be of some use is;

Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!KiPageFault+260 )

READ_ADDRESS: GetPointerFromAddress: unable to read from fffff80002af40e0
fffff800528c3dda

I can post the whole minidump here if required.

Any help would be much appreciated as its driving me nuts!

Cheers.

Edit: Added mini dumps in the hope that someone will take a look. Theres 7 minidumps in the zip folder

Answer:BSOD When playing games

Hi and welcome to 7F.

I only read the latest two files, but it's enough for me to recommend that you update your driver for your video card to the latest from NVIDIA's website.

I see there are two separate games that crashed, and although it could be due to numerous reasons, updating your video card driver is an excellent start.

It's good practice to update all drivers possible, so here are your motherboard ones.

And my first post advice would not be complete without suggesting a bios update as well.

Make these changes if necessary, and let us know how it goes.

You could also look into setting the precise voltage and timings on your motherboard recommended for your particular model of ram, from ram maker's site.

Hi All,

Over the past few days I have been getting BSOD whenever playing games on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit rig.

I have not added any new hardware since this has started and the only new software added have been games.

When it first started I was running faily old nvidia drivers (191.xxx) for my EVGA GTX 260 so I updated to the most recent (196.21) but this hasn't helped. I tried a complete uninstall of the drivers and then a fresh install but am still getting the BSOD.

My CPU core temps are fine (approx 55 degrees celcius) and my GPU temp is at around 75 degrees celcius - both during gameplay. I am not overclocking any of my hardware - it's all running at stock.

I have run memtest and Linx and found no issues.

As can be seen from the attached crash list, the culprit drivers are nvlddmkm.sys, ntoskrnl.exe and dxgkrnl.sys (this latter one has happended once and occured when I exited a game).

The BSOD are quite random - I can play for 45 minutes before one occurs - yet when I try again it might only take 10 minutes. A few nights ago I played for a few hours and didn't receive any BSOD. I have received BSOD on two separate games so it's obviously not a game issue.

I've attached the minidumps along with a crash list generated by BlueScreenView.

Many thanks.

Did you try to uninstall with driver sweeper in safemode? Followed by a cleanup run with Ccleaner?

Okay, I apologize for this, but I had previously typed up a VERY VERY lengthly post giving a lot of detailed information for my problem that got eaten by my horrible web browser, and now I'm extremely frustrated so I'm just going to try to sum this up as fast as I can. Sorry. If you need any more information just ask.

I get a BSOD while playing World of Warcraft on occassion. Most of the time the game simply crashes and Windows is fine (it crashes a lot). But there have been occassions that WoW will cause my computer to BSOD. The reason I'm looking for help here is because I need to know if this is just because the game itself is faulty or if my hardware/other software is causing me problems.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools, at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :
Double click to open it.
Click this button only:

If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

I've been having this problem a lot, and I've tried a lot to fix it. From updating all drivers I possibly could, to installing the latest version of my motherboard, and to reinstalling Windows 7. During playing certain games, my computer just loves to BSoD on them, and it's always the same error, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I'm getting annoyed at trying to fix this without completing anything, so I hope that the people of this forum are able to help me.

i have updated my graphic and sound drivers which are essentials.

my graphic card is gtx 460 se palit and required 2 six pins power plug need to be attached to the card..

I'm new here, so please bear with me. I am getting a myriad of BSODs, all while playing Borderlands and Left for Dead (maybe it happens with other games too, but I haven't noticed it yet). What is the process for getting help? I have several DMP files that I can post. Here they are in a zip file.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Answer:BSOD while playing games -- please help!

Posting the DMP files is sufficient.

Most of these occur while the OS DirectX kernel is attempting to work with memory buffers supplied by the nvidia video driver. In general, that'll come down to one of:

1) Overclocking or undercooling - make sure your machine is not subjected to either.
2) Bugs in the nvidia driver.
3) Unobvious interference from another driver which is mangling the relevant data.
4) A hardware defect, most likely in the video card itself.

Is the machine overclocked?
