Download error The publisher could not be verified

Question: Download error The publisher could not be verified

Ever had this happen?
You spend 30 minutes or longer downloading a program or file or whatever only to get to where it has finished downloading,,so,, it should just save to your system,,right?
But after all that time waiting & after using all of that bandwidth,, at the very last minute it just won't save at all & brings up the error:
-The publisher could not be verified- or -Invalid Digital Signature- & then it doesn't give you the option to override the warning & then it just closes.

Man O' Man this one thing was driving me Crazy more than anything else in the first week of running win 8, I felt like throwing this OS in the trash.
I tried lowering security levels & un-checking boxes here & there in the internet options & I even ventured into the group policy editor (on the advice of quite a few online sites) & changed some security settings in there but it made no difference, no matter what I did it still kept on happening.

Anyway,, if you ever get those errors & IE gives you no choice to override them like was happening to me, do this: (NOTE: The download will still halt at the end & give same errors but it will also give you the option to override the warning & actually save the download to your system).

1. Click "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Network and Internet Options" > "Internet Options".
2. Click the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Security" section.
3. Check "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid".
4. Click "Apply" and then "OK".
5. Restart your download & at the end of it you should now have the option to click "Save", "Run" or "Open" the download.
Some will argue that doing this is a security risk, So if you also think this then don't do it! Simple.

But if you want to be able make your own decisions on whether to trust what you have just downloaded, this gives you that choice...It can't be all that bad otherwise why would they give you the option to tun it off?

Well it worked for me anyway.

Preferred Solution: Download error The publisher could not be verified

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,
I used to be able to start Money 2005 without a security box popping up. Now it says, "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?" I don't have the installation CD as it was pre-installed when I bought the PC. Once I click to "Run" it, it goes through ok. I have Windows xp sp2 and IE 7.0 Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Answer:Publisher could not be verified

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced
Scroll down to the subhead "Security" and put a checkmark in the first three boxes.

Save your changes.

Report back your results, please.

I'm using Internet Explorer 9 and I've been trying to download a file I need. However, it keeps giving me the message "The publisher of this program couldn't be verified", with options to "Open" the file (which doesn't work because it's an incomplete file; I guess it blocked the download), "Learn more..." which is useless and "Cancel". There's no option to download the file, even though I know I can trust it and it's a file I want.

Does anyone know how to get around this?
Real answers please, not just "get chrome lol"

Answer:The publisher of this program couldn't be verified.

Take a look at the "security" tab under Tools/Internet Options. If it doesn't work with default settings, you can lower the security level for "Internet" or add the site name to the "Trusted sites" zone. There is also a "Certificates" section under the "Content" tab which is rather complicated. Some sites are blocked simply because they forgot to renew their certificate on time. In the past, when I encountered a problem there was usually an option to by-pass the protection, but it's possible there could be a group policy setting that was changed from its default in order to further "lock down" IE. Did you set up IE yourself or was the computer supplied by your company?

I would not want to try this with my computer, but you can go to tools>internet options>security and set to lower levels of security.

I would not want to do that because, once I start downloading drivers etc, I want the highest level of security available.

This should work, but as I said I never tried it.

this is more of an annoyance than a real problem but I'd sure like to know how to stop it from happening.

I work for a small company, doing Technical support. We have three of four applications that I have to open every day, programs written internally by our programming department. The programs sit out on a server, but I have a local shortcut and confuguration file to run them over the Network. Every time I close and re-open these programs, I get the infernal warning message:

"The Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?"
Underneath is the message "this file does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. You should only run software from publishers that you trust"

I have to click "run" to get it to launch, and it opens fine. It just irks me that I can't figure out how to tell Windows to quit bothering me and just open the program!

Is there not some place where I can go and tell Windows which programs to open it every time, and add it to a trusted list somehow?

Answer:turn off "Publisher could not be verified" message

thanks !! that seems to have worked, that means any .exe file will run without prompting.
I'm a bit surprised there's no method to selectively choose individual .exe files, like a firewall program can do.

My toolbar contains an icon that links to a program in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\" folder. Every single time I click on the icon I get the attached pop-up window. The window keeps appearing even if I uncheck "Always ask before opening this file" and click "Run" and enter in the admin username and password. Why does the message keep appearing and how do I disable it entirely?

Since my original thread regarding this problem is closed (too old, from November 2008), I am continuing it on this new thread.

As a reminder, somehow for some strange reason, my Windows XP Pro SP2 laptop stopped giving me warnings for unsigned downloadable programs. I tried (almost?) everything conceivable to fix that - to no avail. Here is the original thread:

I *want* the "Publisher Could Not be Verified" warning!

I eventually got to implementing the last suggestion (sfc /scannow), but that didn't help either.

I am out of ideas, totally baffled by this mystery.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Answer:I *want* the "Publisher Could Not be Verified" warning (cont'd)

Eureka! I can't believe this... I think that I solved the mystery: Said warning does appear but only for programs that I download via Internet Explorer!

I was testing this function all that time by downloading via Firefox 2.0...

Apparently, the hint has always been there, in the form of the registry key path: as its name implies, it is intended for Internet Explorer. Duh!

However, I could swear that it worked via Firefox, too, on the other machine. The other machine has Firefox 3.0. Is it possible that Firefox 3.0 supports this feature while Firefox 2.0 doesn't?

Answer:How do I disable the "This publisher could not be verified." warning?!

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

I don't want to preach, but before you disable warnings of this kind you may wish to consider you have a possible virus infection.

I'd be inclined to run a full virus scan in Safe Mode, for which Malwarebytes is highly recommended.

Greetings everybody (my first post in techguy.org ever). Before posting here, I searched (and googled) almost everywhere for a clue how to solve my problem, but all I could find were requests (and tips how) to disable the "Publisher Could Not be Verified" warning, which is exactly the opposite of my problem.

For some strange reason, my Windows XP Pro (SP2) laptop does not display this "Publisher Could Not be Verified" warning when trying to run a newly downloaded program, even when that program is not signed! (with a digital certificate)

I verified that the relevant IE6 advanced security (tab) settings are set correctly. Specifically, the following two settings are checked:
Check for publisher's certificate revocation
Check for signatures on doanloaded programs.
Also, my file system is NTFS (without which this XP SP2 feature won't work).
So, I reached a dead end as far as trying to understand why my XP SP2 stopped warning me about unverified downloaded programs - and how to fix it.

Any idea what could be wrong in my system? How to fix it (short of re-install of Windows XP, of course).

Thanks!

Opps, there is no Disk Mgmnt screen shot attached and .. the screen shot you did attach does not show an error, only the install percent complete. These things happen.

Since you're just beginning, it might be more expedient to start over.
See: Windows 10 - Dual Boot with Windows 7 or Windows 8 - Windows 10 Forums

I would delete the D: partition, leaving it raw/unallocated, and let Windows manage it during the install.
Be careful - only the D partition.

The tutorial should guide you all the way through. Read it and ask questions before you begin - it's easier to answer a question than to fix something or start over

I have just downloaded Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06, from CNet Download.com, I use this site often to download MP3 files, but when I try and run the program I get a message saying - Unknown Publisher - This file does not have a valid digital signature. Is this file safe to run/open or do I delete this? I haven't had any problems with this site before, although I have only downloaded MP3 files.

I have had this happen a few times and I have deleted the files. Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

HiCan anyone help me PLEASE.I have been updating my web site with MS Publisher for about 3 weeks now & unfortunately one of the pages I updated & saved before uploading has not saved on my own HDD properly.Consequently it still has the old page there, the not updated one, But strangely enough the web site has the updated one on it. YES it looks like I have not saved b4 uploading, but this is not the case.I then have downloaded the uploaded page contents back to my HDD from the web site so that I can update, but MS Publisher still keeps reverting back to the old version page (the one b4 I updated)Its almost like it does not want to see the newer version. It took me over 2 hours to update this page & certainly do not wish to have to do this if I have to.Can anyone help this desperate person who does not have much more hair to pull out?Golfingnut

Ok folks, I'm having an ongoing problem. I'm running Vista. It started a few weeks ago. I'm having trouble running downloaded files. And by trouble I mean they don't work at all. I can browse the internet fine but when it comes to downloaded files I always get errors dealing with publisher verification and the like. For instance : when I try to run Firefox Setup 3.0.8 (take a guess on what that is) it says "This file does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher." And when I click run it says "File is corrupt." It says the same thing no matter how many times I reaccomplish the download. And it isn't just the Firefox installer either. When I try to run the Adobe flash installer I get "Unable to authenticate installer." My McAfee gives me errors when it tries to update and so does windows defender. With their current definitions they show no virus or spy/mal/adware. I think the problems have a single root cause although I can't find it. I've tried router resets ( My router is a Netgear WGR614v9 btw). Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Corrupt file download, publisher verification

That's because none of those downloads has verified digital signatures, they have not earned them, applied for them, reapplied for them, or have been rejected because of the quality of the software. Or the company feels like spending money to be accredited is a bunch of crap and they don't want to play along.

But there are those who think that never downloading any files that don't have digital signatures would make life pretty boring and severely limit the number of programs that can be used. So, if you don't want this check to be done, open Internet Options, and under the Advanced tab, down toward the bottom, allow those files to download. And take a look at whether you want CD's content to load and the other options there, too.

If you turn this off, then it will be up to you to verify the integrity of the people you download files from. If your machine can tolerate 0% risk, like it controls the flood-gates for the Hoover Dam, or operates a nuclear launch site, then you should probably stick with the digitally-verified downloads.

Answer:MS Publisher error message

Are you by any chance using something called "ZoomText"? The only references I have found so far to the "undialog.cpp" error (1 hit on Google) you're getting relates to having ZoomText running.

The only information given on AISquared's site about it is, "When inserting clipart into a Microsoft Office application with ZoomText running, the Office app would display an "Undialog.cpp" error. This problem has been fixed in version 7.01."

I use Ms Publisher 2000 to produce a small church magazine which carries adverts. I've just received a new advert, produced in Publisher, but it must be a later-than-2000 version because my copy won't open the file.Is there any way to work around this problem?

Answer:Publisher 2000 won't read this publisher file

You need to ask the sender to File > Save As and save as a Publisher 2000 file.

Does AppLocker use only the publisher info from a certificate or does it identify different certificates by some other means such as thumbprint? I ask because I don't see any other way of differentiating publisher rules.
For example, I have an exe that is being blocked by AppLocker (audit) but I am positive I have a rule with the same publisher info that should be allowing it. I can see this file is being successfully run on other machines.
Is it possible that this is perhaps an older/newer version of the same file signed by an older/newer certificate that has the same publisher information?
Machine1 has C:\file.exe that is allowed to run. It is signed by O=SAMPLE ORGANISATION, INC., L=SAMPLE LOCATION, S=FLORIDA, C=US
Machine2 has C:\file.exe that is prevented from running. It is signed by O=SAMPLE ORGANISATION, INC., L=SAMPLE LOCATION, S=FLORIDA, C=US

Please help, I am trying to troubleshoot my brother's computer. He is running 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate and is completely unable to install any programs on it at all. Regardless of where he gets the program from, be it downloaded or from a disc, a popup always comes up saying the publisher of the file is unknown and it refuses to run the program, even run as admin. Windows Update constantly has errors completing any updates at all, and I suspect the problems are linked. This is with a fresh install of Win 7, and I'm told the problem first started with Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

I purchased Desktop Publisher 2013 online for windows 8. When I try to open it I get this message: the program cant start because ktmw32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Is there a free site to download the required dll?

Answer:dll error installing desktop publisher

You should never download missing DLL files; you should use operating system methods to recover the missing DLL, or reinstall the application that provided it.

This seems to be a file that is part of Windows; run the System File Checker to recover the file:

Code:
sfc /scannow

HELP!!! I'm trying to design an email newsletter for my work. I tried in MS word first, but the email came out all higgledy-piggledy. So I designed an awesome enewsletter in MS publisher and it looks amazing, but when I do the email merge, the email comes out with blank sections and big gaps in sections. I'm supposed to send this out to all our clients TODAY!!! Please help, any ideas on what's going wrong?

Answer:Error with MS Publisher email merge

Want to watch this one for answers, never heard of a mail merge done in Publisher before, only Word, which I have done myself long long ago.

I have copied and pasted what I have done in Publisher before into Word and it looked great. Mind you that was long ago on a older version, so unless more updated programs have taken that option out you should still be able to do it.

when I try to open a photo I have sent in an email, I get an error message
The feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom or other removable disk that is not available. insert Microsoft Publisher 2002 disk and click OK.
and then another screen
please wait while windows configures Microsoft Publisher 2002.
And then
the file "is not a valid intsallation package for the product Mocrosoft Publisher 2002. Try to find the installation package PUB.MSI in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Publisher 2002

I have XP and Publisher came with the computer but I don't have a disk. I can open up photos other than ones I have sent in emails..?
thanks,
Kathy

Answer:Microsoft publisher 2002 error

Well if it was moi, I would go to My Computer, go to where you have all your pics saved, right click on any one of them and then choose the "open with" command and then "choose default program" and from there browse for the application you normally use for graphic editing and messing about with your pics.
There is usually a little box in the lower left of the menu that says something "always use this program ........" so tick it!
If you don't have a specific graphics editor try IfranView that is pretty good and a freebie on the Net.
Your Publisher disc was probably an OEM from the store and was not installed correctly or fully and now Publisher wants it back again.
Or lash out and but the new MS Publisher .................. hang the xpense!

I have a computer with Win98 and Office2000 (disk 1) loaded on the computer. When I attempt to load (disk 2 w/ Publisher2000) I get an error message " Installer ended Prematurely because of an error." I have taken the disk to other computers and it will load correctly onto a machine that has Windows2000 but I always get the same error on any machine with Win98.

I found a Microsoft article that describes the problem I am having ( Article ID: Q235662) but it did not help. I have verified that the files exist that the article says are required...

I have looked into the log that is created each time I load the disk (Office 2000 CD2 Setup).

Action start 10:02:45: CARunCostIE5.
Action ended 10:02:45: CARunCostIE5. Return value 3.
Action start 10:02:45: FatalError.
Action 10:02:45: FatalError. Dialog created
Action ended 10:02:53: FatalError. Return value 2.
Action ended 10:02:53: INSTALL. Return value 3.

I found a MS article saying that this was caused by my 'IE5' directory not being in the correct location. I am using Explorer 5.0 but the directory is not called 'IE5'. I have tried renaming the directory but nothing seems to help......

Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in Advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I try to open Microsoft Publisher (which I bought less than a month ago and have created only 5 documents with...) and I'm getting this error message

"the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more details"

I've tried simply re-starting my computer...I've uninstalled and re-installed, but still getting the same message.

Using W98SE & OE6. When off-line and trying to use the help menu in MS Publisher I get Internet Explorer Script Error with all the pertinent details and reference to the URL showing the particular help file that I am trying to access. It is an htm file. Any ideas as to why this should suddenly be happening? Didn't do this with IE5. Doesn't happen with any other programme or when on the Internet. Have reinstalled MS Publisher but still the same problem happening. In IE6 I have disable script debugging ticked and display notification about every script error unticked.

Answer:IE script error in help menu of MS Publisher

Further to my query - have discovered that other Help files also not available in some programmes or not showing the icons to click for further info - just a black outlined white box with a dot in it showing instead. Explorer Help files also affected. Is this something to do with script errors also? How do I fix this as I can see nothing altered in any settings, etc.?

After completing my work using Publisher 2013 (the preview edition), I closed the window. When it asked me if I wanted to keep my clipboard, I said no; and then it asked me if I wanted to save any unsaved changes before closing, and I said yes.

After the save was completed and the window closed, I reopened the file, but instead of leading me to where I left off, it gave me the "This file has a problem it might kill you. Open only if you can trust the source" popup, and of course, I told it to proceed. However, what I got was a "Publisher cannot open the file" error popup. It only has the OK button, and if I press it, Publisher would exit itself.

Because I cannot open the file I can't access previous versions of it either........I need this file for a presentation at the national science fair.............help???

When I try to open publisher files I recieve a message that says "publisher has experienced an error and must close..." This seems to only effect files that are already on my computer. I can open publisher (by opening the app, rather than clicking on a file), create a new document, save it, and can re-open that file.I cannot open the program and then open a saved document I have not created today.I'm not sure what is going on. I noticed it about two weeks ago. We were using Publisher 2007, but I installed Microsoft 2010 beta because I thought it may be a problem with our software... but the problem is still there.I called Microsoft but "I'm not a customer because I haven't purchased the 2010 product..."I did find some Microsoft forums and followed the instructions to fix the registry key by renaming the old one "oldpublisher" and re-opening publisher, but that did not work.I am running XP Professional on the machine.I hope that helps and can find an answer to my problem. Here is the Error Signature from Publisher:AppName: mspub.exe AppVer:14.0.4514.1004 AppStamp: 4abf11a7ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5755 ModStamp:49907d48fDebug: 0 Offset: 0000fe60**Now I cannot print anything from a Microsoft Office program. Hello, I have two Dell computers both running Windows XP. Anytime I try to download anything from IE on either computer one of these errors comes up:

Internet Explorer - Security Warning
Windows has found a prolem with this file.
Name: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe
Publisher: Unknow Publisher

NSIS Error -
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or
a virus.
You may want to contact the author of this installer of obtain a new
copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command

I've tried disabling the firewall, resetting the advanced settings, re-downloading the NSIS installer (got the Unknown Publisher error), and about a hundred other things I've read online... can anyone help me fix this??

Thanks!

this is an earlier posting and I am experiencing same issue on 3 Dell computers. Two laptops and desktop pc. Desktop and and laptop have XP and the other laptop Vista. Basically no downloaded program from the internet can be installed. Either receive unable to authenticate installer, Unknown publisher, or NSIS error. I have ran multiple spyware, and registry cleaners but nothing has seemed to help. Any ideas?

One desktop shortcut to an exe file began displaying the Open File - Security Warning dialog box stating the Publisher is Unknown, with no tick box selection available to trust this publisher. In trying to get to the bottom of this problem, I moved some shortcuts around between folders and created some new ones. All of the newly created shortcuts and moved shortcuts now display the Open File - Security Dialog Box. The exe files open fine, just not using the shortcut. This has been since a recent windows update.

This is a real PITA any clues as to what may be causing this and how to fix it.

Cheers

Several Programs have given me this pictured message. Clicking on .exe icon or shortcut or created file in a particular application causes this message to appear. I can open the program by right clicking the .exe icon in Programs Folder and selecting Troubleshoot Compatibility but the most recent option it gives me in the listing is Windows XP and I've been in Win 7 for over a year! This just started happening after the Updates of 11/11/15, so I'm wondering if something became corrupted because of those. Publisher 2010, Team Viewer, Quark have all been victims of this. I basically cannot open these applications by clicking on an already-created file with the correct extension icon. I am told it "stopped working."

Answer:Error message box: Publisher for Windows has stopped working.

See if you have been offered KB3097877 again.
If so, install it and see if it fixes the issue.
(See this post for more info.)

If that fails to fix the issue, then consider doing a System Restore.

I am still hanging on to my old Publisher 97 and have always been able to hook up to microsoft's online clip gallery for additional clip art that I need for my newsletter that I print. An error message shows that I don't have microsoft office installed, therefore making the clip-art unavailable to me. Any ideas on what has happened? Maybe I just need to give into Microsoft and pay the $99 for the upgrade?

Answer:Microsoft PUBLISHER '97 - I can't download clip-art from Microsoft any more

I suspect you're right. MS probably doesn't support Pub 97 for clipart anymore. If it's any consolation, I love Pub 2000 and find it easier to create my newsletters, brochures, business cards, etc.

Well the other day, Windows said it needed to be verified. I have an official version that came with my computer. I was kind of confused and was suspicious of what was really going on. My computer will freeze up once in a while also. Sometimes my browser will act up like it has been hijacked.

Answer:Windows needs to be verified?

I want you to run TDSSKiller so refer to the below for how to do so.

TDSSkiller - How to run

Please also download MBRCheck to your desktop

Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
Done! Press ENTER to exit...

Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
Found non-standard or infected MBR.
Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:

Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.

After the burning process it starts to verify the media

If I were to cancel the operation (while it is verifying), would it ruin the disk (or DVD drive, etc.)?

No, at that point the disc is being read so cancelling shouldn't ruin the disc or the drive.

However, if you were to cancel during the burning process that would render the disc useless.

Paying for an online service recently the final stages (confirm button) displayed the Visa Verification Popup. This looked normal except it did not ask for normal password but for card details + ATM pin number. Of course I abandoned my purchase immediately. I have attached a screenshot of the popup.
For ages I have never had a positive infection result from any scan but recently my Avast virus scanner detected a rootkit infection and deleted it. All subsequent virus scans detect nothing. Also Malwarebytes, Spybot, etc. all come up clean. I have Comodo installed as a firewall.
The thought of having to do a clean install and spending days reinstalling applications makes me feel ill. Otherwise the computer is running fine. I have not attempted an online purchase since.

I hope someone can help....I am having issues attempting to place any online orders as when I get to the confirmation screen, the 'Verified by Visa' box appears but doesnt open and internet explorer message box saying 'This window is attempting to close, do you want to close the window' andit has a YES or NO option.I cannot click onto either of the options and it completely freezes my IE and I have to ctrl + Alt + Del and end the program via Windows Task Manager. This has been happening on my laptop over the last few days or so and I have experienced it on different sites.Any suggestions or ideas how to fix this as it is so frustrating and I need to order some stuff online asap.Cheers.

Answer:Verified by Visa problems!!!

No instant answer, but try Firefox instead if you are in a hurry. Just as secure.

Hi enricco777

This is another java bug. I don't believe it's been fixed yet though. I have the same thing with one of my add ons. If you are worried, you can write java and see if they have an answer yet. I have not had any security issues with it yet that I know of.

Bug ID: 6775736 Some add-ons are considered "Not Verified" in the IE's "Managed Add-ons" list

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) - Java Plug-In's SSV Helper 2, Start Detector - are not Verified

my e-mail account has the appendage not verified in msn messenger and in msn login account.Customer services say I'll need to refer this will get back to you. Guess what still waiting. Are there any bright sparks who may know the answer.

Answer:e-mail account (Not Verified)

When you use an email addy to register your net passport you it needs to be verified that its real addy, you should have received an email from messenger site with a link in it so you could click it and verify your email addy.If you have a hot-mail/msn addy this verifies at once so you must have used an addy other than msn/hotmail.

I run Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual-Core Processor. 2 days ago I could watch video no problem (youtube) today I went to watcha video and it said "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player"

I then download the flash player and it still doesn't work. When I go to tools-manage add ons and locate Java it says beside it (not verified) Sun Microsystems.

How do I turn the Java on so I can watch video's, how do I verify it

thanks

Answer:(not verified) Sun Microsystems, Inc."

Hi -

Be sure that you are using IE 7 x86 and not IE 7 x64.

To check Java out, go to the verification site for Java detection -
http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

If still a NO-GO, perform a system restore using a nrestore point from > 2 days ago when all was well -
START | type rstrui

Scan for virus.

the preview must have a few drivers that are unsigned , so disabling driver signature completely will solve this issue :)

I am using a genuine windows 7 ultimate 64bit on a Fujitsu sh560 and I have recently updated various drivers (a complete list is below) from the Fujitsu website itself. These were intended for my laptop model and have been verified by my computer. I installed them all at once before restarting my system. Upon logging on to my computer, I notice that windows aero doesn't work and neither does my internet, my sound system, and my fingerprint scanner. I can not roll back any drivers, I cannot use recovery, and i cannot start any services without getting an error message of 1068. I then went to task manager and it has a completely depleted list of running processes from my previous startups.

Drivers updated:
Audio driver by realtek
Modem driver by atheros
Chipset driver by Intel
Fujitsu BIOS driver
Fujitsu camera driver
Biometric Device driver by authentec

Answer:Almost nothing works after several verified updates

Maybe that BIOS update did something bad to machine? Applying BIOS updates is very risky. Also those chipset updates can be dangerous also.

This is error code explanation from Microsoft site:

ERROR_SERVICE_DEPENDENCY_FAIL 1068 (0x42C) The dependency service or group failed to start.

In other site somebody had similar kind of error and it is caused by registry corruption.

Did your computer worked properly before these updates?
If it did you have forgotten old saying: If it is not broken then don't fix it.

I got my new computer just yesterday and decided to make a Microsoft account when prompted to do so at the initial set-up. I am new to Win10 so I may have missed something. I am met with this message when trying to log into my new microsoft account: We sent an email to [email protected] to make sure that you own it. Please check your inbox, then follow the instructions to finish setting up your Microsoft account. And ofcourse this message is preventing me from signing in to check my email. I can not contact Microsoft because I need a Microsoft account. I contacted a shady site "Your365TechSupport.com" who took control of my desktop and didn't seem to understand what I was saying. My account needs to be verified for me to access it however, the verification code needed to access the account is within the account.

If anyone has any Ideas I would be super grateful for any and all advice on the matter

Thanks for reading.

Answer:Microsoft account needs to be verified

All you need to do is get to an computer that you can open this email and see what needs to be done.

I have made a setup.exe file to distribute to our customers.
I run it from IE.

After the Run Save Cancel popping up it says "unknown publisher" (see attached image)

How can I assign a publisher to my EXE? I at least want it to say Publisher: MyName rather than unknown.

I guess for that warning to go away I need to purchase a Verisign or something but I hear thats expensive?
I would settle for the warning to at least mention my name !

thanks,,

Answer:"unknown publisher" warning - how do I assign a publisher to my .exe ?

Can you change "setup".exe to your name? Such as Bansaw.exe ... will it run with a name change?

I messed around with my Win 10 in trying to uninstall all traces of a printer software and I may have messed it up slightly. Apps that I used to install with no issues are now met with a pop message saying the following:

"The app you're trying to install is not a verified app from the store"

How do I fix it so I'm able to install apps without any popups like before?

Hi

In Windows 10.x, when I create a Microsoft account for a user, he will have to verify it when he will sign-in (login) on the system to enable some functionality.

Is there a way to create a Microsoft account already verified?

Thanks

Bye

Answer:Creating a Microsoft account already verified

Hello Balubeto,

I'm afraid not. When a MSA is created for the first time on a new PC or device, it must be verified for security purposes.

Answer:Need help with touchpad Apoint2k - program is not verified

I would suggest you the follwing:

Remove the touchpad software from your computer, download the newest version from here:

http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

and install it. I assume it?s just a software issue..

Please reply after performing this action, would be interesting if it worked for you.

I suddenly can not email my work computer. I thought it was on thier end but I.T. staff confirmed it was my home email causing the problem. Said it wouldn't let my home email in thier server?! Other out of the system emailers (i.e. personal emails) come through, but not from my home pc. This was not happening a week ago. Here is the "MAILER DAEMON" I get "Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail2.valornet.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out." - "521 Server does not accept mail." Any ideas?
