Colour Issue

Question: Colour Issue

Has anyone had an issue with the colour of a second monitor?

For some reason the colours are really off, the monitor on the left has a yellow tint on certain programs but not everything

I've tried the latest NVidia drivers, resetting the TFT and updating the TFT drivers but no joys, it was fine in Windows 7

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Colour Issue

REMOVE the ICC profile for the monitor on the left. (Advanced display settings, Color Management Tab)

It was probably installed by default with the video driver or something. Unless you create one yourself using calibration tools, it's generally best to just remove it completely.

Another potential issue... If you you have a monitor connected via HDMI, it will look very strange on the desktop (lower contrast, extremely bright colors) and I have found no way to really fix it. Always prefer the DVI or display port connectors instead.

Uh guys has anyone seen a SMART board go green when it shows anything? Because we just had to watch a green movie in English which should have white blue and lots of other colours but green dominates now for some reason. Could a be a blown bulb?

Answer:SMART board colour issue

Make sure the VGA cable is plugged in all the way on both ends.. If a pin isn't making contact it can make a single color be the dominant color shade. If both ends are secure, try a different cable. If it still does it, try it on a different SMART board. If it doesn't do it on the other one, then probably a bulb issue. If it does do it on another board, then it's an issue with the computer.

Answer:fonts size &colour issue, help please?

Try changing the font in the main body of Outlook Express, not the new message box. Go to tools, options, compose, there you'll find the options to change what you want under font settings.
Click ok then apply when your done.

Ok, here's the problem. I have a standard Dell Plug and Play monitor which has been running fine for 3 years now. My graphics card is a PNY Verto GeForce FX 5200 (128mb). I turn on my PC this morning to see a bubble on the taskbar saying my resolution and colour quality are all very low. The resolution has gone down to 640x480 and the colour quality is 4 bit. I can change it back to 800x600 (4bit), but when i try to change either the colour quality on ANY resolution, or put the resolution higher than 800x600, and then click 'apply', the screen turns black for a second or two, and nothing has changed. I still get the little box saying "your desktop has been reconfigured" etc etc. but nothing has changed! im still left with 640x480 on 4 bit quality, and hardly any decent games or applications can run on that!im very grateful for any help. hi there,

my dad seems to have a very weird problem with windows photo viewer:
CLICK HERE FOR EXPLANATORY PHOTO (imageshack)

as you can see the picture inside the photo viewer looks fine on the left screen.
but the part that's on the right is very orange. but the picture in the preview is oke again.

Photoshop shows the image on both screens without the orange.

so its a specific problem on photo viewer that only occurs on the right screen.

never seen it before, seems way if you ask me :S
ps i already did a clean driver install
and if it matters, the pc has a GTX 450

Hello all, Before I invoke my warranty on my laptop I thought I would try here first.  My external display all of a sudden today, started to turn yellow.  It seems like its random as to what exactly is being turned yellow, but it seems like almost every part of the screen is effected.  Some facts: 1.  I have tried 2 different monitors and 3 different VGA cables with the exact same results.2.  When I first plugged the monitor in today and set it to output only to monitor, the screen was fine, when I changed it to 1680x1050, the yellow instantly showed up3.  Whatever resolution I try now, its always the same4.  I have rebooted, tried extended, clone and one screen displays, I have even tried rotating the display! So thats the story, my gut feeling says the video card in the laptop is the issue, but I do not know enough about it to be sure. Anything anybody can think of that I can try before calling it in? Cheers, Darren

Hi,  I recently purchased a Lenovo C260 All-in-One desktop computer, but realised there are issue with the colour display. I googled around and found out that it's because something called ICC profile is missing. The information I found explain how to add it to the settings, but they show like I should already have an ICC profile to add (which I don't). Is there anyone who could help me solve this issue? Where do I find this ICC profile to add, so that the colours on my computer are displayed correctly? Thanks!

This is my grandson's computer.
It's 5 years old and the OS is Windows Home Premium 64bit.

Following a recent crash we decided to reload Windows.
We seem to have lost our Toshiba drivers - can anybody please head me in the right direction?

Also the desktop colours have gone beserk - they resemble light shining through oily water.
They seem OK when programs are run so we don't think it's hardware.
The only driver for the monitor is shown as a generic M/Soft monitor.

If anybody has any advice it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks!

Answer:Satellite P200-1G8 - Where to get drivers & Monitor colour issue

All drivers, tools and utilities can be downloaded from Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
By the way: which Windows version you want to install? I recommend you usage of Win7 32bit on this machine. It runs very stabile and without any problems.

If you need some assistance with Win7 installation let us know.

To be honest I don?t understand your issue with monitor but install please right display driver and check if the problem will be solved.

I have just installed Windows ME and I am stuck in 16 colour display.I have run SiSoft Sandra and know that the mobo is a Micro-Star BIOS ID 61-0504-001169-00111111-071595-440BX. The information on the video adapter states Model: Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) Hardware Revision: 003 but no manufacturer.Anybody know where I can go to download a driver to increase colour? I have tried Windows Update and the mobo manufacturer website without success.

Answer:Problem finding driver to resolve 16 colour issue

I dont know how old the PC is, and you havent stated what graphics card you have or whether its an in built version on the motherboard. ?If its an Nvidia set up, then go to there website and download the latest video drivers, along with the latest Direct X version and this should resolve your problem. If its an ATI version then go to there website. If you dont know , download the following program ( AIDA 32 ) similar to SI Sandra and this will tell you what video display card you have.Just run the program then click through until you see video display.click hereRegardsJungle

I bought Lenovo B590 59390111 (window 8)  yesterday and was excited to have it. But i got shocked when i started using it , because the display is showing all white colours as Yellow, even the google home page is not white. This problem is similar to Y580 yellow display problem link. What is the solution for it??? Kindly help me...

Answer:lenovo B590 display yellow colour issue (Problem similar to Yoga 580)

hi kamalraj,

Welcome to the Forums.

I agree with what falcore51 have mentioned in the Y580 thread.

If the yellowish color on the screen persist if you boot the machine in Safe Mode or in the BIOS (by pressing F2 during boot-up) then there's most likely a problem with the LED display.

Alternatively, you can also try hooking-up an external monitor.
 - If the display is fine, the LCD panel is possibly defective
 - if the problem remains, the GPU is possibly defective.

You may try contacting the store (if it's still possible to exchange the unit) or you may contact Lenovo India to have the unit serviced.

Hi there gurus.
My pc doesn?t show certain colour objects in Publisher 2007 and some on-line sites. Overall, the screen colour is very good. I know the fault is localised, because when I switch to Print Preview in Publisher it looks fine and I can see all the object colours. (I only lose the colour with objects, not text)
Also, when I send a copy of a Publisher page to my partner who is on the same PC, it looks fine on her screen.
I?ve tried going to Install/uninstall programs and run the Repair, but to no avail. The guys in my computer shop are clueless without seeing it. Anyone who can help solve this for me is a gem.
Cheers!

What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with compatible inks?

I'm happy to invest in buying a colour laser: but I can't find any refills for lasers
At least they don't seem to be widely available

So, my choice is: colour laser + genuine inks or colour inkjet + compatible inks

From what I know, side by side: laser's are cheaper
But, how about when compared to genuine laser ink to compatible colour inkjet inks?

I should stress that for me needs, I am not overly concerned if using compatibles doesn't give me perfect results - just close as possible is fine for me

What's more important probably is speed of print at highest quality

ANY feedback would be great

Thanks

Answer:What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with ink compatibles?

Finding Compatible Remanufactured Color Toner cartridges can be dicey. While they may be available, the problem may end up being the company tht does the remanufaturing. It is also dependant upon the model printer you get. I have noticed that the savings on my Black Canon X-25 toner cartridge is only about $12 lower than the cost of a Factory original cartridge. There are sites that I would save up to $30 per cartridge, but part of this is eaten up by the shipping charges. For my toner cartridge, I am about 1/2 mile from the store that does nothing but ink and toner refill services, and their garauntee thier cartridges 100%. In 3 years I have only had to return one cartridge and it was an HP #17 Color cartridge.

Now per page printing cost on a laser is much cheaper than on an inkjet. Though the printer cost itself is usually much higher for a Laser. Personally I use the laser much more than than my Inkjet, but I do use the inkjet for all color printing. But then 95% of my printing is monochrome text.

Hi, I'm using the Aerolite theme with Aeroglass, and want a consistent colour for the borders. So I set accent colour from background 'off' and choose the colour. Fine so far.

Now that's ok if I log off and on.

But if I sleep or hibernate (not personally ) and then resume, the colour and setting are lost.

I noticed that on resuming, the border colour is present until the 'Please wait' screen appears, after which these settings are lost.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was just thinking that wouldn't it be great if we get more color options to change the background color on our Windows Phone devices than just black or white as we get on Windows 8.1 devices to customize background color along with tile colour?

Hello.

I seriously need help with my PC. I've reinstalled Windows XP and Service Pack 2, and I can't chnge the Screen resolution or the colour quality. It sucks. The resolution stays at 800x600, the lowest possible, and the colour quality stays at 8 bit. I think I have a ATI 128 MB DDR Radeon 9800 Pro. I dunno whether thats a driver or what. And I also don't know my graphics card, or whether that will help at all.

I would swear at this point but I'm too young.

Oh but I'll use this instead

Has anyone got any help for me that I can understand. I'm 14 but I still can understand most computer talk.

Anyway thanks very much for reading all this crap and please try not to point out all my spelling mistakes.

Answer:[resolved]Help with resolution and colour and colour quality??.. anyone??

Heya, welcome to the forums

Okay, it has to do with your drivers. Go to ATI's website and find your driver.

Here's the link

http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html

Please download and install both the Control Center as well as the Display driver. Then restart your computer and try to change the resolution.

Hi Allhope someone more knowledgable can advise - I recently purchased a Lexmark x500n multifunction colour laser printer - I had a big black print job to do excel and word - 2000 pages - i was shocked to see that - ok the black starter cartridge of 2500 pages was nearly empty- fair enough - but all three colour cartridges (1500 page size) were nearly all empty too - I hadn't done any colour printing but when i contacted the manuf they advised that the printer uses colour also to print black!! - it's getting returned to them - but do do all colour lasers do this - obviously this quadruples the costs of printing and has put my costing out of the window!! - any advice would be great - it's a network colour printer, with copier and scanner that I need - a fax would be great but not essential.thanks in advanceTrifly

Answer:COLOUR LASER - PRINTING BLACK USING COLOUR!!

That would pee me off no end. How in God's name can it use colour to create black when there's a black cartridge in there? A cheapo mono laser seems to be your ideal tool. I know nothing about colour laser printers, but is there an option anywhere in the settings to print using only the black cartridge? Does the printer still work if you take out the colour cartridge while printing only black text documents?

Hi

I've recently had to get a new computer and decided to try a Mac. Everything works fine, however, I have excel files which I have transferred from my old Windows laptop which, when opened on the Mac, have not kept the colour formatting from the windows version. Is there anything I can try to see if the original colour formatting can be accessed or will I have to re-colour them all from the start?

Thanks for any help, advice, support in advance.

Wayne

Answer:Excel 2003 (Windows) to Excel 2011 (Mac) colour format issue

Hi Wayne, It's not the MAC, the issue is the fact that the newer versions of Office (also on MACS) have diffrente shading of colors.
The basic colors in Excel 2003 are not always the same.
I imagine that there is color formatting but that the shades are off, correct?

I think it will have to be hand-work, I don't know hoe Microsoft thinks about this but, well, compatability is an issue here

Maybe there's a setting somewhere that tells it to use the standaard (old version) settings, but I doubt that.

You'll need an inside-out Microsoft expert for this, I think.

Help Please :- Screen issue Lenovo Yoga11s 11.6-inch Laptop , When touching the screen a odd coloured imagine where i last touched appears on the screen , the screen is not physically broken , it has not been dropped etc. I recently bought a brand new :- Lenovo Yoga11s 11.6-inch Laptop intel Core i3 , 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD ,Model Number 59367205 It has been working fine but the other day for no apparent reason my screen acquired two arrow cursors instead of one. This extra one flickered and remained immovable from the screen for about 40 seconds and left a small circular image about 1cm across on my screen. I couldn't find a way of removing it, so I resorted to turning off my machine which caused the image to disappear when I switched it back on. I now see a strange print image every time I touch the screen since then, as if it is showing heat sensitivity for a short interval. Rather annoying , but then it disappears. Have I turned on some kind of development mode perhaps by accident , so that it shows where I last touched ! As anyone any ideas how to make this stop please or perhaps is my touch screen faulty ?!? Has anyone had experience with this issue in the past ?

Sorry for the bad post name as I'm not entirely sure what to call this.
I have been having an issue with my XPS L702x for a while after I dropped it onto the floor. The issue I have is that is mainly that the screen seems to display black (and colours close to it) green and the white as red. This is fairly inconvenient but also seems to be slowing my pc down quite a bit, for a while I assumed it was the screen that had broken and a ribbon cable or something had either come loose or broken, however after taking the pc apart and having a look at the wires they all seem fine. My second assumption is it's something to do with the GPU and maybe that's what's broken (this would make sense as to why the PC is slowing down). I'm wondering if there's a way to fix it as I don't want to buy a new laptop.
I have some pictures here to show what the issue is.

Thanks

Hi,

I know some basic stuff about computers, but I don't know how to fix this problem.

I have Windows XP. Firstly, the computer started running slower than usual for a while (a few weeks), then one day when I started the computer up, a screen came up in the DOS bit at the start asking me what mode I wanted to start in as there was a problem. I selected the option (and Im paraphrasing here) 'The last good configuration' as it seemed best. From then on, the colour went to 4 bit, and an 800x600 resolution. I can't change these settings as I normally would, as there are no other options available. I can use the computer fairly normally, except the awful colour and res. However, if the screensaver comes on, and I re-activate the screen, it will be totally messed up - the edges puffed out like a pincushion setting, black and white, lines travelling down the screen and flickering, sometimes going totally black then coming back again.

My housemate started the computer up and somehow got the original DOS screen back asking which mode to start in - he selected 'safe mode' and the colour was then good - except the internet then wouldn't connect. (I have broadband so it's normally automatic - I don't know how to connect it manually)

This is my brother's computer, so I don't know a lot about it - programs and so on - he's un-contactable at the moment and will be for a couple of months... I'd greatly appreciate any he... Read more

I like using "windguru" for forecasting the weather. Based in the Czech Republic, they're usually spot on which is more than I can say for the local effort.

Until recently I used Netscape 7.2 and subsequent to that Opera vers 11. These both colour coded the wind speeds and gusts and the expected temperatures; you know ranging from blue for cold to red for hot. For various reasons I have had to make use of IE-8. I can't get anything in colour. Temperatures and wind speeds are just black numerals on a white background. I've searched through IE's options but can't find any tweak to resolve this. The URL is www.windguru.cz and I'm running XP home. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Quote from: blackrainbow on June 17, 2010, 08:31:21 AMmobile intel 915 gsm chipsetThe problem most likely lies in this, as the Intel chipsets are not designed for 3D gaming and can't handle the stress. You're probably right, it's not a driver issue, it's a hardware one. It's not a problem, it's just that you've reached the limit to what the Intel video chipset can do.

Hi There,

I have a dell inspiron 6000 with mobile intel chipset 9145. I am trying to play TV out, but whenever i attach it to the TV - i am only getting black and white. I have tried changing the colour adminstration within properties to kodakdc and srgb colour space profile but i am still having the same problems.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Answer:Tv out Has No Colour

It could be a PAL/NTSC setting somewhere. Some laptops have a BIOS setting for TVout. If it's set for NTSC and the TV is set for PAL, or vice versa, you will get video issues. I had a an old DVD player that was 'stuck' on NTSC only. When I tried to play a PAL movie in it, it would play in black and white. Check the back of the TV or wherever all the control switches are (or just read the manual). Check the PC BIOS and the TVout settings if using separate video hardware/software....

Good luck!

Question: colour problems

The other day I inadvertently spilled a cup of coffee while at the computer. The only items that the coffee spilled on was the underside of the printer( which was not turned on at the time) and the cordless mouse. Since this happened, the colour on my monitor is all wonky. Everything seems to have changed colour slightly and any lettering is now a combination of green, purple, red, and blue although predominently green and red interspersed with the black. Since the liquid did not spill on the computer, monitor or keyboard I am wondering if this problem just co-incidentally happened after the incident although I find that hard to believe. Is there any way to fix this myself or will I need to take all the components in to be cleaned or dryed or??

Question: Colour printing

Hi, how do I get the colours I see on my monitor to print as seen. I always get a difference between what I see and what is printed. Any help would be greatly received.

Answer:Colour printing

Adjust your monitor first using a program like click here then try again. You may have to alter the printer settings for colour as well. The type of paper you print on and the ink will also make a difference. You will never get a perfect match as one is reflected and the other transmitted colour.

How can I change the colour so that writing will be more visible.

Regards

Answer:Customizing new tab colour in IE 9

Hi email257525 and welcome to SevenForums

I do not know how to manually change each Tab's colour, but fortunately you can disable them:

Open Internet Explorer, click the Settings Icon and select Internet Options.

Select the General Tab and under the Tabs Section select Settings.

Now deselect Enable Tab Groups from the Tabbed Browsing Settings Dialogue.

Close and reopen explorer and coloured tabs should be disabled.

Hi all.
I've been having some problems playing some of my WMV files. When I try watching them the colours are all messed up. Most of the screen is bright green with the rest of the objects appearing in various other bright primary colours. It doesn't matter which of my players I use including VLC.
Some of my vids are ok and I can get the problem ones to work if I re-encode them with WMM but it also happens when I try to watch streamed WMV's including HD and these I can't re-encode.
I've downloaded K-lite codec pack but I'm not too sure which of the codecs to use and I've read that just installing all of them can cause more problems than they solve.
Thanks in advance guys.

Hi there - I'm trying to print out a document using colour separation in Publisher and or Serif Pageplus...I can print in colour normally, but when I try to print to Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black all I get is black and white printouts of varying magnitide. Only the composite looks and prints out in colour. Is this what I should be expecting?

Answer:Colour Separation (again)

What you are getting are the instructions for colour separation printing machines - as used by larger scale commercial printers. These printers operate by inking the sheet in three (or four) separate processes each process using a different colour - CYM(K). Traditionally, these separations were for preparing silk screens and there was no requirement for colour information within the file. So, if you are trying to print these separations on a normal SOHO printer, there is no instruction in the files for them to be printed in any other colour than black. On a computer controlled colour spearation printer, the instruction for the separation print normally readable only with specific software.Do you have a good reason to print in colour separation? If not, I would leave well alone because without appropriate equipment i.e. at least a colour separation printer, you could end up in a real mess and very confused.

This looks similar to a problem that Internet Explorer 8 can have so try the fix for that which is to change the Desktop Theme then change it back again.

If that works then do Start > Run type SERVICES.MSC press Enter and right-click the Themes service > Properties then change the Startup type to Manual.

That should stop this happening again.

Question: colour printing

I have tried to print colour photos on photo paper using a HP5652 I get a yellow picture. Yet if I use plain paper I get a proper picture. I am using a photo ink cartridge as well as the colour cartridge. Any suggestions I have tried in vain using different settings and photo paper.

Answer:colour printing

From what you describe it could be the paper'setting on the printer or some close to it.If you visualize it for one moent youet set up the printer to print either on plain paper or photo paper- you do dont you?If you dont investigate the printer set up protocols.Assuming you do- then as far as the printer is concerned, and assuming all colours are workingas you infer they are[good picture on plain paper]then it would not matter too much if you fed the print a shredded wheat packet- it would not affect ink delivery.By the by the best mode for colour photos, not with standing the paper type or brand - Ink Jet Transparancy - it is also very economical with the ink.

Open Control Panel and check to see if there an exclamation mark agains your graphics card (Display Adaptor). If there is, one possible cause could be that the card needs new drivers. To do this go to Start/Control Panel/System/Hardware (tab)/ Device Manager.

A bit of a strange request, but after searching everywhere that I can think of for hours, I can't seem to find a solution.

I am a teacher, and several of my pupils have a problem reading anything on a white background. I can often change the colour of backgrounds, but there are certain applications where it's not possible.

So, rather than ask how to remove a colour cast from my monitor, I'd like to be able to overlay a blue or pink colour cast on my entire monitor - can anybody tell me about any software which has this functionality? I'd like it to be configurable and easily 'turn off and onable.'

Alternatively - any easy to use colour profile management tools for windows xp? The microsoft color management control panel plugin doesn't seem to make it possible to achieve what I want.

Many thanks,
Mike

Question: colour quality

When I download still images from my camcorder on to my computer, the colours look very dull and lifeless-very different from how they look on the LCD screen of the camcorder. Is there any software that could improve image quality?

Thanks-this is a great site.

Answer:colour quality

If you just want to pep up the image a little, Irfanview is simple: www.irfanview.com It is primarily a viewer, but it has some tools for tweaking an image.

This is freeware that will do a better job: http://www.freewarefiles.com/programs.php?ProgramID=1012&categoryid=3&subcategoryid=36 It is a lite version if their shareware program, which is excellent for the price. The freeware has the things you need like histogram and saturation that Irfanview lacks. You can download the manual for the full version at their site.

If you plan on spending the time to really learn photo editing and donít want to spend any money on a program, Gimp is now available for Windows. It isnít easy to learn, but has the capabilities of a good intermediate graphics editor: http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads.html

These are also free and will do a nice job:
http://www.ab.wakwak.com/~knight/
http://www.serif.com/photoplus5/index.asp

If you want to buy an intermediate image editor, Uleadís PhotoImpact and Jasic Paint Shop Pro are both excellent. From the reviews Iíve read PhotoImpact is easier to learn and at least as full featured compared to Paint Shop Pro. They both have 30 day free trials if you want to try them:

This the fact. Straight printing will use all colours, even when in black.Printing balck only can be achieved on some modelscheck printer properties for a black only button. If you examine a 'black' print under a M/glass you should see evidence of the other colours fringing the black image

Question: Colour Problem

I have recently bought a new rig, it runs perfect in games, however, I am having a small (but somewhat annoying) problem.

Desktop

Game

I have a GTX 260, with the latest driver installed. I spent quite a while messing around with my monitor settings, to no avail.

Specs (if needed):

Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.4GHz
Gigabyte GTX 260
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Intel X58 Motherboard
Corsair TX 650W
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Colour Problem

I don't see what's wrong with your desktop...

As for the game screenshot you provide:

- Most games have their own color settings. Desktop color depth is not automatically applied to games, this has to be done manually in most cases.

- This game seems to be quite old (judging by the polygon count of the models), are you sure that it fully supports your hardware? Do you have any screenshots of newer games with the same problem?

Would someone recommend a good colour printer. I am willing to pay upto £100 but I don't want one that guzzles the ink!! It will mainly be for photos. It doesn't have to have black as I have a cheap black printer which is excellant for docs etc.

Answer:Colour Printer

We have an HP 3650.You can't go far wrong with HP printers, their printing times can be slightly slower than other computers but Ink Cartridges tend to last for about 2 months - when the low on ink appears the ink cartridges normally last for another 2 weeks. We used to have an Epson but now we wouldn't get a Printer that isn't an HP due to the ink cartridges lasting longer, the ink cartridges being cheaper, and HP printers being more reliable than Epson anyway.

Answer:Colour Printer

Hello Lenovo, I would like to know, if w530 support 30bit color on display port, and if yes upto which resolution. I am going to connect EIZO monitor (EIZO SX2762W-BK )and would like to know if anybody has experience with this. I heard that some people had problems with resolution 2560x1440 + 30bit color depth. Thank youMartin

Answer:30 bit colour support

Total speculation but I think it's possible as the external ports are driven by the NVIDIA card, which isn't limited as the Intel card is.2560x1440 at 30bpp at 60Hz may be hitting a bandwidth issue even for DisplayPort.
