Preferred Solution: Cant install microsoft office 2013 professional plus!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Cant install microsoft office 2013 professional plus!

To remove prior versions of Office, do not use Uninstall in the control panel. You must use the removal tool to uninstall all traces. Depending on the version you would use this:

My knowledge of software is extremely limited.  I eventually migrated from a desk top computer to a lap top, only because I travel a lot and do need access to my computer.  The laptop has Windows 10 and Office Professional Plus 2013.  The office is the 64 bit version.  All was installed by experts and works well.  I am a lazy guy by nature so try to automate everything.  This way no finger trouble or misfiling of documents.  The software providers wrote various programmes for me to do this all, and has worked 100% for the last 10 years.  They use a Microsoft product called ODBC.

But I have a major and very serious problem. ODBC only works on a 32 bit system not 64 bit.  I must uninstall the Office 64 bit and reinstall the Office 32 bit.  Also no problem and again I would get experts to do this, as the chances of me screwing it up are extremely likely.  I also believe that you can never have enough sex, beer, money or backups, so those gaps are blocked.  My problem is, I have been told, is that the emails I have on the Outlook 64 bit version I will not be able to read on the Microsoft Outlook 32 bit version.  I don't want to lose any emails, as I do have reason to go back on emails pretty regularly.  I try to handle and "sign off" all emails immediately, but often I would at a later date have a query relating to a prior email.  If I haven't got the email I am up the creek without a paddle.

Answer:Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 - 64 bit and 32 bit compatability.

Don't know where you heard that, but it's not true. Your emails are saved in a .pst file on your computer, and that file can be read by both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook.

In any event, I'm wiling to bet the emails are also saved on the mail server you are using, and the mail server will work with either 32-bit or 64-bit. Once you open Outlook, they will either re-populate from the mail server, or you can just import the .pst file.

In short, no email conversion is necessary.

Go to Microsofts site and download Office 2013 Scrubber tool .. and run it. It will completely remove the product. Then reinstall .. the issue, it is corrupted .. and needs to be reinstalled.

I ran into the same issue .. drove me nuts til I found the answer.

Hey there!

When i tried to install Microsoft Office 2013 i get a message saying "This 64bit product may not be installed with Microsoft Office Click-To-Run" so i went and uninstalled ALL previous versions of Microsoft Office and tried again, Again i was still prompted with this message, any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
Michael

Answer:Cant Install Microsoft Office 2013

The "Click to Run" only works for the 32 bit version as far as I know. If you are only using Office 2013 for home or small business use Microsoft recommend that the 32 bit version be installed, as there are actually more features available on the 32 bit version. Of course the 32 bit version works perfectly on Windows 7 x64. I use the 32 bit office 2013 Pro on my Windows 7 x64.
If you wish to install the 64 bit version, load the Office DVD & then Open to explore the files & if you check these you will find the 64 bit version, then double click on that & it will install the 64 bit version.

Whenever I try to install Microsoft Office 2013, the progress bar reaches full then reverses about half way then I get an error saying "Microsoft setup bootstrapper has stopped working". I have already tried clean booting, safe mode, turning off AV, using repair kit. I tried installing Microsoft .NET framework but it said my OS already comes with it, however I cannot find it in Programs and Features.

INFO
-I do not press "Install" I use a custom install settings
-I have autorun disabled so I open it by running setup.exe as admin
-I have the preview evaluation version
-32 bit version will install however I want 64 bit because my computer is a 64 bit OS

Howdy all,

This is my first post on the forum! I've had an extremely frustrating problem and can't figure it out. I hope someone here can help me out! In short office 2013 will not install on my computer. It starts going and at some point it just says there's an error and quits. It doesn't give me an error number or anything, it just stops. Here's a little context though:

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13, and overall I've been very satisfied with the computer. However, it only came with a 128 GB SSD hard drive, so I decided to add another 128 GB SSD in the second hard drive slot. I got it in the computer and it works perfectly as far as I can tell. The only other thing I changed on my computer was to move the music library to the new hard drive. After adding the hard drive, I tried to use office some time later and it wouldn't work. I tried repairing it with the install disk, and it didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it didn't work. It always just stops at some point as I said above. Is there a reason adding a hard drive or moving a library would effect Office?

Thanks in advance!

Willm

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 will not install

Hi Willm,

welcome to Eight Forums! Good to have you aboard.

About your problem. It is not a problem related to you adding an extra SSD and moving a library. That stuff doesn't influence the Office installation.

Before I can give you advice I need more information. Please provide the following info:
Is it a plain Office pack or the Click-To-Run Office pack?Do you try installing it from a DVD disc or from a standalone executable?Where did you buy the licence? What kind of virusprotection are you using? (i.e. Windows Defender, McAfee, Norton etc.)

So I uninstalled my office 2013, because it has some issues. I uninstalled if with Revo Uniintsaller and I even scanned it after and delete all the left overs.
Now I am trying to install it back again and I am not able to. The installation is going till about 70% (I can tell that approximately, cuz there is no actual progress percentage displayed) and by installation I mean the the window where below the installation progress it shows this >> "Installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013..." .
So then the installation stops and it shows me this message >> "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 encountered and error during the setup." When I close that window it shows me this message >>

setup.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

That's all I get from this installation !
Can you pleas help me?
Thanks and have a nice day

I just can't install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 which I downloaded from it's official web site.
I'm using Windows 8.1 64 bit right here.
I can install Microsoft Office 365 with no problem (but I've uninstalled it for some reasons) but this one is just too much...

I can run the installer, but when it is in installing process, then one of these things happen :
1. Says "The file powerpoint.en-us\PowerPointMUI.msi could not be found
But I can see in that folder that that msi file is really exist.
2. Says "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 encountered an error during setup,
3. Crashes.

I've tried using clean booting, or compatibility troubleshooting like trying it on Vista or Win 7, but really nothing works.
Please help me, I'm losing my mind here, really need this thing ASAP...
Thank you.

I have reinstalled my Microsoft office 2013 pro plus 64bit because i bought an SSD that replaced my HDD.

Last time i installed this on the HDD it took up between 2-3 GB of space on the drive.
When you look up system requirements for office 2013 it will tell you 3GB space required, 64bit or 32bit.

This time around installing it and after all the updates through Windows update, it took about 6 GB.
I am wondering why, is this right ? Is this possibly due to service pack updates till now ?

Thought i read last ones were end of July 2014.

I did do a Disk Cleanup, even removed updates in download folder in C: Windows/Software Distribution.

I also know it creates a hidden folder on C: drive called MSOCache, this only holds about 830MB.
Told by some it is required to be there in case of a install repair and updates.
This is not that much of the amount that i am in question of.

Well i can not seem to find any answers online to verify if it is correct to be taking this much space up, if so i am fine, just wondering if it is right.

Answer:install of Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus

Update on this topic, talked to Microsoft support they tell me this is normal to be this size and also due to my system settings and specs.

Since i installed it again, was 57 updates, although i can not see how big each update is now, do not think i downloaded 3GB of updates unless they expanded during installation.

Said something else about language packs possibly being cause, do not see any of those in the updates. When i reinstalled it i usually do not uncheck anything not to be installed, just all the defaults.

Revo uninstaller
shows it at 1279.80MB but again not including updates and service pack.

I have two computers: one an old clunker I keep around because it has a lot of my music on it, a few photographs and Office XP 2002. The other computer is NOT so old but it is refurbished. The old clunker came from Dell preloaded with MS Office Pro and Windows XP 2002 HOME upgraded to SP-4 (?) I think (I also have the original program CD's to ALL software installed on it. The newer one came preloaded with Windows XP 2002 upgraded to SP-3 but running open office.

I HATE OPEN OFFICE!!!

This brings me to my question: can I install the version of Office onto the newer one, and if so, can I also install Publisher? I do not use the older computer unless I really have to, i.e. Publisher and certain Word and Excel files. I will not uninstall Office from the older clunker because I have this stupid open office crap on the newer one. I know I have at least 1 license for the older one and I can not afford to buy another, so a YES in this department will help me a lot.
The newer computer system I got for free from a program that the college I attend was included in. The older clunker I got from an employee purchase program from where I used to work. A new semester is going to start up next month and I don't want to fight my computer when I have assignments due, and I don't want to be frustrated by using the computers on campus (they use the newest Office products: I don't like it!) I just want to get my work done so I can get my degree. I know where EVERYTHING is a... Read more

Answer:I need to know if I can install Microsoft Office XP Professional on another computer.

Pre-installed software cannot legally be installed on another computer - it is "married" to that specific computer until it's scrapped.

Even if you buy a retail copy of Office, you can only install it on one PC at any one time, unless you purchase a multi-user licence from Microsoft.

Hello Everyone,
First, thank you all for making this free forum for helping others, this is my first post on EightForums, I was in SevenForums before and I upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate x86 to Windows 8 Pro with Media Center x64 5 months ago.
Anyway, let's talk about my problem, I installed Office 2013 Pro Plus 4 months ago, last 2 weeks I tried to uninstall it (for some bugs) but it didn't fully uninstall because of "Printer Spooler" service was not available (It was an issue but I resolved it last week). So I tried to uninstall but I didn't find Office 2013 in Add/Remove Programs, I never-minded and tried to install Office today, it was 99% finished but it rolls back and give me an error "Microsoft Professional Plus encountered an error during setup" and I click "Finished" then the setup says "Microsoft Bootstrapper has stopped working" so I read in the internet and people says that some registry keys is still there so I tried the Office 2013 Uninstall Fix-It program where it is here but it doesn't find anything! So I found a video on how to uninstall Office 2010 manually, and I used it on Office Pro Plus 2013 but nothing! I opened Event Viewer and found the Office 2013 log:

Looking through the log file you have posted it appears the setup is failing because of a permission issue.

Setup.exe is being run from the G:\ drive.

You need to copy the Setup file to the C:\ drive before attempting to run it.

Hi,

I am having issues with installing Office 2003 Professional on my HP Pavilion Elite - Windows 7 64-bit machine which I just purchased. I understand that there has been some issues with the compatitablity from the 32-bit to the 64-bit verison but I have found sites that states Office 2003 is compatitable with Windows 7 and some people have had success installing it on their own 64bit machines. I have two other PCs (Gateway desktop and HP Laptop) which are running the XP 32bit operating system with this Gateway Distribution CD (bought it with my Gateway machine years ago) - Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Software. I was able to succesfully install Office on my HP laptop even when its a Gateway Distribution CD so I know that is not the issue.

The issue I have ran into is when I install it by by-assing the front-end installation process (opened the Office setup.exe file on the CD drive or even copied it to my HD) the Installshield program comes up and it starts the installation process. However, when it is performing the requested services an error pops-up stating the following "This verison of Office is not compatitable with your system" then closes out. Now, I have tried to run the setup program under Windows XP (Service pack 2 and 3) and neither works.

In addition, I have uninstalled the office 2007 trial software and any other Office viewer programs from my machine. However, I still have Microsoft Works 9.0 still installed because I wouldnt think it wou... Read more

I am sorting out a PC and software for a UK Registered Charity. They need Access so it means a professional version of Office. I am looking to save money where I can as it is a charity and have been offered the following:

Bit worried about the term "Dummy licence"!
Would disclose the company who are offering this via a PM if required.
Can anyone advise me on this please?

Answer:MS Office Professional Plus 2013

You will only need a full version of Access is you will need to edit/create forma, reports, etc. You can use the free Access runtime to "run" Access applications and enter data.

The only PC/Workstation that needs a Full version of Access is the one doing development for the application.

I have many users that run my Access applications with just the free Access runtime.

May I know if this also applies to office 2013?

Also, if I follow the steps "Uninstall-Install", will it delete Outlook's archive files / user profile?

Appreciate for any helps.

As far as I know you should be OK. Outlook stores most details in the Outlook Files, which on my computer are stored in my Documents directory.
Just to be safe copy your Outlook Files to a thumb drive or similar. Also make a note of all you email setting that are found in Outlook under File & then Info & click on Account Settings & make a note of all the settings.

HP 15-f337wm Notebook, Win 10 Home 64-bit. I accidentally deleted something unknown tto me that stopped me being able to attach photos to my AOL mail.   A few days ago Microsoft (via internet) downloaded for me a two month trial of MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL PLUS 2013 which for reasons unknown to me FIXED the problem!    Yesterday I purchased at Walmart a OFFICE HOME & STUDENT 2016 product key.  Am only interested in downloading what ever it was that stopped me from being able to attach pictures to my AOL emails. I would like to keep the WORD but am not interested in the Exel, PowerPoint and OneNote unless someone tells me I need to download ALL of them to fix my photo attaching problem.  Also, do I need to uninstall the trial before downloading the new product key?

Answer:Uninstall trial version Office Professional Plus 2013 before...

Hard to say what happened with the AOL photos but that full Office 2013 has a photo editor program included and that may be what started the photos working right again. Since that was a 2 month trial you are not going to be able to keep it anyway. I would uninstall the Office 2013 before installing the Office 2016. If you do not, the Office 2016 upon install will give you the option to keep or upgrade all parts of the Office 2013 which have corresponding apps in 2016. However, since the 2013 you have is more full-featured you will likely wind up with a mish-mash of 2013 and 2016 components and it is going to be confusing when 2013 expires.  If, after the 2016 install, your AOL picture problem is back, post back then and we can attack that issue on its own merits. I'm sure it is a very easy fix and likely just a file association thing. It's not really fixed until you understand how and why it is fixed.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

If it isn't possible, then can I install the whole "Professional edition" and keep it separate from my home computer software (home edition), possibly under another user account or something like that?

Microsoft Outlook 2013 (365) continues to crash every 2 months on my laptop. I have had 3 sessions with Microsoft support online since November. They are unable to fix the problem so it won't continue to reoccur. They have reinstalled it on 3 occasions and within 2 months, Outlook is unresponsive. Cannot receive/send any email. All my email I have to get on my iPhone using pop secure server from GoDaddy redirect. It not GoDaddy cause I can see the email if I go to GoDaddy email and they say it is an Outlook issue with Microsoft.....

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 or Microsoft 365 Outlook crash

Ok its been 4 days. I guess I am the only one with this problem. Tried Microsoft again and they don't have an answer to their own software issue which reoccurs for me every 3 months........

Hiya Everyone.

Here is the little problem I have encounted.
This evening, I installed in my computer Microsoft Professional Office suite 2003.I installed all the components, ie, Word, Publisher, powerpoint, excel and access.
All the applications worked immediatley and correctly except, Access. This application will neither open or run ? I have uninstalled it, re-installed twice, but that particular component will not run.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Tony.

I have installed the Microsoft Professional 2013 on my Dell Desktop computer and find that Microsoft Outlook
is much different than the previous version I was running Office 2010

I caused about 20 emails to be deleted off the email server when I selected delete the email after having
completed reading.  In outlook 2010 there was a setup where you could tell Outlook to not delete the
email off the server.  I am unable to locate where to check or set it up in Outlook 2013.  Can someone
give me some direction, can this still be setup or no longer available is Outlook 2013?

When I try to write a letter or memorandum or email in Act 6.0.3.979 using Microsoft Office 2013 32 bit, a window pops us and says: "Act! Could not open our word processor. This may be a result of inadequate security permissions in Windows. ACT! Word Processor" and I close this window and another window pops up and says: "The word processor driver is not running."
What do I do now? Can this be fixed. I changed all the permissions in ACT to allow. Still doesn't work.
Thanks for any help.

Hi,If i save my work by default in office 2013, can it be opened with 2010 or 2007 (another computer)?Or can 2007 & 2010 opened with 2013?Thank you.

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013

No, except as noted herein.  The default format for Office 2013 is Dog Food. From Office 2007 onward it should be the same. Older Office suites won't read the MS XML format, which has been called Dog Food. Which is very kind. For reference:http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/08/15/office_2013_strict_open_xml/

Microsoft have announced the UK selling price for Microsoft Office 2013 - a whopping 390 if you want the 'Professional' package! Interestingly though they have also announced a subscription based service so that instead of buying the software, you can pay either an annual or monthly subscription and use all the latest Office products. Office 365 will cost 79.99 a year or 7.99 a month - a discounted annual rate of 59.99 is available for students too. Subscribers are also provided with 20GB of SkyDrive cloud storage for their documents and 60 minutes of Skype calls per month.

Given that the subscription allows you to use the software on up to 5 PCs then for some people it might be a worthwhile investment.

Interesting article looking at whether it is worth subscribing on Time:

Should You Subscribe to Microsoft Office 365?

Alternatively you can just use Open Office which is free!

Hi,

Could some explain to me the upgrade options for somebody who already owns Office 2010. I found a page where you can upgrade for free and choose between a one year Office 365 subscription or the program itself, could you explain that to me please.
https://www7.downloadoffice2010.micr...&culture=en-US

Also, what features do I miss out on if I don't pay for a subscription? Ans if I upgrade will the Office 2010 installations on my XP machines still work? (Office 2013 no longer supports XP or Vista) If I do upgrade would these installations cease to be valid?

Sorry for all the questions but I find the new version.upgrade/license thing slightly confusing.

Thanks.

I've been trying to get my new computer going with mixed results. I'm running Windows 8.1 pre-installed. I bought the Microsoft Office 2013 one computer product. I downloaded and installed it with no problems. Used it once or twice during the day just to make sure it seemed alright. Then I had a different problem with the computer and tried doing a system restore. The restore point took it back to before MSOffice was installed (apparently) as I don't see it on here anywhere. Keep in mind I've VERY new to Windows 8.1, been using XP for years so maybe I'm just missing something. Anyway I can't find it and I can't figure out how to reinstall. When I try to reinstall by going to the same install screen I used before, it says it can't install, but doesn't really explain why.

Please help. I'm soooooo tired of messing with this. I just want a working computer!

Thanks,
Patti

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 installation

Guess I should add, when I try to undo the restore, I encounter a problem with possible security issues. It goes round and round saying I may have viruses, Trojans, etc. This is from some kind of MS security something. I'm using the McAfee that came with my computer and as long as I'm on this version of the restore/undo restore, McAfee says I'm protected. On the other it won't let me do anything unless I buy whatever product their trying to sell.

I am looking for full downloads that you have to enter a key to use. Not pirated or anything like that. I have some computers that do not have internet access and need to have Office on it. So i download that has just the setup.exe file will not work.

Anybody know where these downloads would be located. I believe they call them Network or IT Tech downloads.

If you have vaild license keys, you can go to microsoft.com and enter the license key.
Once entered, it recognizes which version you bought and subsequently lets either download a full exe or you can pay for them to mail you a DVD.

You have to activate the software some way. The offline activation has you do it by telephone.

Nickel and diming our way to the cloud

Office retail licenses could... up until 2013 ... be moved from computer to computer.

Apparently...not any more. Check out the 2013 retail EULA:

Office 2013 Software License Agreement - Office Watch:
http://news.office-watch.com/t/n.aspx?a=1782
Under our license we grant you the right to install and run that one
copy on one computer (the licensed computer) for use by one person at a
time, but only if you comply with all the terms of this agreement. Our
software license is permanently assigned to the licensed computer
You may not transfer the software to another computer or user.

No point in retail just buy OEM. MS is really desperate for people to sign up for their cloud dream.

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 Joke

I think retail still gives you 1 computer + 1 laptop install (in practice at least). And of course you can change hardware as much as you want. OEM is more restrictive, but I understand your point.

hello,

I installed Microsoft Office from the preinstallation and the key that was given to me when I purchased the computer.

After this installation, were present only the following applications:
Excel 2013, One Note 2013, PowerPoint 2013, Word 2013.

Publisher was therefore absent.
So I downloaded. Now I can not find it in applications. I do not see how I could "run".

I can not find it in the uninstall list of programs ccleaner.
But I am still a line "microsoft office home and studying."

During installation, I have had a window informing me that publisher was installed.
This has happened to me with another software I can not remember the name.

I absolutely need to "publisher" who have difficulty with implementation "scribus", including implementation of table totally "Border", cover and rim.

Thank you for helping me,

I have Microsoft Office 2013 I think I have deleted something I shouldn't have as Microsoft Office 2013 is not displaying very well all the things you click on to are missing. What have done wrong or deleted and do I get it back or restore?

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 not displaying very well

Hi Darksky40, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

You could try a System Restore to go back to a point before you deleted whatever it was that caused the current problem.

You could try an Office Repair. To do that open Control Panel, select Programs & Features, then scroll down to Microsoft Office, right click on it & select Change & this will provide a couple of Repair options.

If none of the above work you will have to reinstall Office.

Last April (2016) I purchased Office 2013 pro from NerdsforLess and received a product key which I applied to download from MS website. A couple weeks ago this product was deactivated by MS. I could not re-apply product key either over the Internet or by phone. I talked to MS tech support who told me that MS had deactivated my Office software because the product key had been leaked and that the seller (NerdsforLess) would give me a replacement key. Bob, at NerdsforLess, denied he knew anything about the key being leaked (he actually accused me of leaking the key--yeah right, a personal, professional person is going to sell a key as opposed to a large discount reseller!) and refused to refund my purchase price or provide me with a replacement key. My question is: How can MS justify deactivating my product key when I have proof I paid for the product and there is no way to know who leaked the key? MS did not consult me on this and as far as I can tell, did not research the leaking. So how come I get screwed when I played by the rules (paying for a product and properly registering it)? Thank you for any comments.

Hello, I installed Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus about a month ago. I thought I made a copy of all of its contents that were in a file folder: Word, Excel, OneNote, etc. Unfortunately someone jumped on my computer and did something with this file folder. I cannot find the file folder of shortcuts on my PC. I just need to locate the file folder in my C drive so I can make another shortcut folder on my desktop. I don't think they're missing or deleted from my system as it still pulls up Word when I click on a document. I imagine that someone deleted the file folder on my desktop for some reason and I may need to locate each individual program to get back that folder. I tried copying the Microsoft Office folder from my C drive as well as Microsoft Office 2015 but no dice. Any help is much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Answer:My Microsoft Office 2013 Has Disappeared From My Desktop

Check the Recycle Bin. If they were deleted they should be in there and you can restore from the Recycle Bin.

Or if this is recent, run System Restore using an available restore point that is BEFORE they did whatever they did. System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools.

System restore will not delete any user data or e-mail.

My little HP TS10 Notebook came with Windows 8.1 and Office Home & Student 2013.  All was great until I went to Windows 10.  My PC slowed and finally froze constantly.  I reloaded Windows 10 but the problem continued.  I then went back to Windows 8.1 but had to reload that several times before my PC would work properly.  My PC is working well now with 8.1 - BUT. because I had to reload Office Home & Student 2013 so many times (all on the same PC) I am being told that I have an unlicensed product and therefore my Office 2013 has been deactivated and does not work. Again, I had to activate this multiple times (only on the same PC) because of problems with Windows 10 (and a few with 8.1).  Who in Microsoft can I contact to get this issue resolved? Thank you!!!

When you do the install from dvd you have to choose 'Custom' which allows you to choose/browse to where to install.

Some time ago I was using Office 2003 and I read or was told that it would not or was not being supported any more. So I bought Office 2013. However, for whatever reason (I don't remember) I left Office 2003 on my pc and installed Office 2013. (Maybe I was afraid of losing my documents or whatever so I left 2003 on the pc) I found that with both Office 2003 and Office 2013 every time I would open a Word file it was opened in 2003 ( I would need to use the "Open With" option to get my docs to open in Word 2013. Since I have now gotten used to working with Word 2013 I figured that it is time to make Office 2003 go bye bye! I have been using Outlook 2013 even though Outlook 2003 is still installed on my pc. I don't seem to have any problems with Outlook 2013 but I would like to uninstall Outlook 2003 as well (I assume that when I uninstall Office 2003 then Outlook 2003 will be gone as well) So I  want to uninstall Office 2003 and leave 2013 on my pc. Are there any problems with doing this?  Will all of my files be saved? Or do I need to back up any files? If someone can guide me through this I would really appreciate it.Edit: Moved topic from Windows 10 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

For years I have used Microsoft Office but never used the Outlook part for emails. With Live Mail on its way out I thought that I would try it out. I have set up my accounts and can send and receive with no problems and it is slowly populating all the various Received/Sent/Deleted sections.
I have loads of contacts in the Contacts section but what I have yet to figure out is how to get the To: box to autocomplete the email address as I start to type in the recipients name. I am finding that I have to look up the email address and get that inserted. I am sure that there must be an auto complete but I have yet to find it.
All suggestions gratefully received.

Answer:Using Microsoft Office 2013 OUtlook email

As far as I'm aware, there is no auto complete function on Outlook. Then again, I might be totally wrong. Terribly sorry that I can't be much more help.

The latest word is that Office 2013 365 will cost $16.50/month ($198/year):

Office 365 Enterprise Plans Cost More Because Of Australian Hosting | Lifehacker Australia

One can buy Office 2013 Home and Business for $251 or Professional for $514 and prices will likely drop further:

Office 365 Enterprise Plans Cost More Because Of Australian Hosting | Lifehacker Australia

Now obviously the latter are for one PC only, but if all the tales that we are hearing lately are true, that people are moving away from the desktop onto tablets and the like and not needing full office etc capability, then most people will only have one desktop in the house.

To that end, one licence would be more than enough and would be sufficient for many years to come. That then questions the need for Office 365, which locks you into a subscription service, ostensibly forever, and with potential price increases as well.

That kind of indicates that the standalone version of Office may well be the best option for most people, rather than Office 365.

One device, you want to get out into the real world Ray, people have multiple devices. I can't ever see a time when I'll just have one device. Also have you ever heard of a family, I know they haven't been around for long, but they do exist.

I'm paying $12 per month for Office 365 and happy to pay it, but that's just me, other people might have different ideas.

I'm probably lying though, I make up all sorts of stories about what I own and the countries I've been to.

My question is, the update is a at 650mb, will I need to download all that even though my office is up-to-date?

Answer:Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 is here

Yes. SP's contain previous updates, and then some, to that point.
As you know, they are good for after fresh install, for a quick way to bypass all the incremental updates. Except for the ones that come after the SP.

Hello, and my apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere.  Lenovo T440p.It was purchased with Win 7 Pro and Microsoft Office 2013 Pro installed by Lenovo. Last week (Oct 2018) I used the online Microsoft tool to do a free upgrade to Win 10.I did not have to download any media files or use a CD... everything was done online.  Win 10 Pro is working fine.Office 2013 Pro is not... it launches, but I get a nag-message about needing to activate it.   Unfortunately I do not have the OEM-provided product key info.Nor was the product key resigsterd via a Lenovo account to which I have access.  Lenovo support has been of no help (the CSR indiacated that there was no product key info that she could find in the archived order info on her end).Microsoft has been equally unhelpful. Any chance that there might be a way to find my OEM-provided MS Office 2013 product key on the PC itself? Many thanks!

Hi! Has anyone here tried the newly-released office 2013? For some strange reason when I open the program, the response has been painstakingly slow (like the keystrokes, dragging, etc). Searched around the net and people suggested to disable hardware acceleration which finally solved the problem. However, the animations and other graphics brought about by the new office is gone. Could this be a hardware problem? Anyone having the same problems as I had I'm running windows 7 home premium 64-bit with intel core i5. Hope you guys could help.

You need to purchase Office 2013 Pro
When you do it will ask you if you want to upgrade
and of course you pick this option

Once it finishes you will be upgraded to office 2013

Good Afternoon, Friends!  Please, tell me what Microsoft Office 2013 Product key Activation is necessary to use that I could to use Microsoft Office 2013? My laptop is G50-45. Thanks in advance.

Answer:Microsoft Office 2013 Product key Activation

hi DariaFonBet,

Welcome to the Forums.

If that's the preloaded Microsoft Office 2013 then you can activate it in two ways, one is by using an evaluation key (60d ays) and the second is by using a retail key.  If you didn't buy the Microsoft 2013 and you want to utilize the 60days free trial then you will need to click "Try office for a limited time" when launching MS Office.

If can't activate the trial period using the above steps then you will need to uninstall that version of MS Office 2013 and download an Office Professional Plus 2013 evaluation copy. (you will need a microsoft account to sign-in). During the download, you should be given a trial key.

I have Microsoft Office 2003 professional edition installed on my laptop currently. I also have a 2013 professional plus version disc that I can install. Would there be a problem with installing both on my laptop? Is there a lot of difference between the two versions? The reason I'm asking is that I like the 2003 version I am using but would like to test out the 2013 version before I dump the 2003. Thanks, Micromos

Answer:Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and 2013

well you can but is advisable not to install 2 version of outlook at the same time, you might run into some problems you have to use at least one of them

I've recently encountered problems with Word and Excel programs. Windows 8.1 operating system. For some reason the program will open and then give an error message that the program stopped working. It gives an option to repair but that does not work. Repairing from the control panel does not work and gives another error message to go online to find a solution. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Downloaded the program to reinstall but continue to get the same errors. Does anyone have a similar problem... or solution?
