Preferred Solution: Flex 3 1120 - Graphics card upgrade?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I recently updated to the Windwos 10 Fall Creators update (Build 1709, 16299.125), and as soon as I updated, the graphics driver failed and switched to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I tried updating and rolling back the driver without success. My driver right now is at the latest version (10.18.10.4358). I already tried fixing this issue with Microsoft support but they couldn't find any solutions. Microsoft Support Link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/intel-hd-graphics-not-working-...

I have a new Flex 3 it was working fine yesterday, I shut it down last night and plugged it in, it seems to have a good charge (and I have tried it plugged in as well), but this morning it will not boot up.  I hope I don't have to take this back to BB today, any ideas?

Answer:Flex 3 -1120 wont power on

I had the same issue. it appears that a driver was installed but the system has stalled. It actually happened twice. I sent it in and they "refreshed" it and it did it again. I let the power die on it and it started back up. I don't know of a way to manually shut it down. The old way was take the battery out but its not the case here. The battery is sealed in side and I didn't want to give them a reason to void the warranty. You can charge stuff with the usb while it's unplugged, try draining the battery that way with a phone or tablet.

I just received my new Lenovo Flex 3-1120 ( Model: 80LX001KUS).  As delivered, it has 32G of eMMC.  I am desirous of upgrading the machine with a Hard Drive (which I have purchased).    I have discovered that due to the fact that the stock configuration does not have a hard drive that there are two parts that are needed to house and connect the hard drive.  From Lenovo?s parts list those parts are:5B40J08368 HDD Bracket  and5C10J08424 HDD Cable As much as I have tried I cannot find any option for purchasing these parts on-line. Please advise of options to acquire.

I have a Lenovo Flex 3 1120. When I bought it, I went for the hard drive option that had the cheapest price since all the other options were HDD of various sizes and I knew I was going to upgrade to SSD anyway. The flex 3 I have though, does not have a HDD and uses an eMMC embedded storage. When I went to install the SSD, there is an empty space for where the hard drive would sit and there is no SATA connection. There is a socket in the board that is labeled "SATA conn1" but no cable.

I called support and was told it is possible to use the SSD and boot from it. The cable and caddy can be purchased but she said Lenovo will not supply the part. I found the part number I think,  1109-01051, but apparently no one else sells it either. There was one on ebay, but it's gone. anyone know where I can find one?

update: the item number is actually 5C10J08424. I still had a hard time a seller with it in stock. One website wanted about $70 for it not including shipping. I finally found/bought one on encompassparts.com for about $20 including shipping. I'll update once I get to try it out.

My battery was charging fine and then I clicked on the battery icon today to open up and the menu and it went from telling me the battery was plugged in and charging to plugged in and not charging. It was like clicking the icon turned off the charging capability. This is a brand new computer, I've only had it for a couple weeks. The battery and adapater are both okay according to OneKey Optimizer, so I can't figure out why it's not charging. Currently running Windows 10 if that helps.

Answer:Lenovo Flex 3-1120 Plugged in, not charging

Does your battery stay at about 60%?  If so, then there actually is no problem.  Lenovo Flex 3 has a feature called "Conservation Mode," which keeps the battery from charging all the way.  This will supposedly increase the lifespan of the battery, which is a good thing, since the battery isn't meant to be replaced.  If you want to charge the battery normally, just click on the battery guage on the taskbar.  You'll find the setting there.

Hello, My windows updated a few weeks ago and after the update I had a few issues with my touch pad and sound. I was able to roll back my touch pad driver and fix the problem but there has been no update to Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for several years so there was nothing to roll back to. The issue I have been having that my sound has been contstently going up leaving the sound bar on the screen (A picture is attach below if it helps). This has become very annoying since I  have not found a way to get rid of this. So far I have tried updating and deleting then reinstalling the driver but the sound bar remains. Therefore, is there any way I can fix this? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks,SoundMax

Earlier today I booted up my computer and noticed the Nvidia control panel wasn't an option on the right click context menu. After going to services.msc, I noticed the Nvidia display driver service wasn't running, and if I tried to start it, it would immediately crash. I then went to device manager, and saw that under Display Adapters, the only visible one was Intel Integrated Graphics. I wiped the Nvidia drivers, and when I tried installing the latest ones I was told that "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I've already tried resetting BIOS, which did nothing. My concern here is that either the graphics card has died, or it has been shaken out of place somehow. Are there any suggestions you can offer to fix this, or will I have to take apart the laptop? Thanks for your help.Specs: CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U @ 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHzRAM: 4GB (4096 MB)GPU: Intel Integrated Graphics (Onboard), Nvidia Geforce GT 720M (Discrete)Model: Lenovo Flex 14

HelloI have a flex 3 1470 (model 80JK001GUS) which comes with a NVIDIA graphics card (940m). Hi this is my first question here.
I just bought a M900 SFF (i7-6700) which has a 210W PSU. I want to get a MSI 750ti low profile GPU but worried about the lack of power so Im considering upgrading the original PSU.
However, the motherboard has a Lenovo style 10-pin ATX and another 4-pin. So far I couldn't find any PSU that matches the motherboard. I would really appreciate some help!

Mod:  edited Subject line to add other system types that can use the same power supply and graphics cards

Also, I tried using the 750ti LP with the current 210W PSU. It worked fine with Would of Warcraft, but I havn't try other programs that might have higher power demand. Do you think I should keep looking for a PSU upgrade plan or is it actually just fine with the 210W? I used a PSU calculator and for my current system (with 750ti) it gave a 205W estimation, which is just under 210W.

I've read many similar posts here on this problem, but found no clear solution. I bought this partly for the advertised 'potential for upgrade', which now seems to me a lie because I can't even upgrade a PSU???

I have a desktop system which is quite old. But it was quite decent to play some of the games infact still now there is not any issues in it.Recently some of the new games stopped working in my desktop. Tekken 7 for example gave me an error which says "graphics card doesn't meet minimum requirements". I dont have quite a powerful graphics card in my system that may be the reason. But surprisingly the same game worked on my office's desktop which was Dell Optiplex 3040 with no graphics card and i5 processor. Here is the snap of my system...Do I need to upgrade the graphics card only or the whole system. If possible I would like to spend my whole budget for decent graphics card if upgrading only it can solve the issue...

Answer:Do I have to upgrade Graphics Card only or the whole Mobo + Graphics Card

I dont see your system specs or a snapshot of system. Knowing model number and make of computer works as well instead of a snapshot if you know that. So what is the system specs of computer info of the system that your thinking about upgrading?Your office computer the Optiplex with the Core i5 is able to handle games because the Integrated Intel HD Graphics are actually not that bad. The Intel HD Graphics can make games playable, but depending on the game they will either play well or play ok, or crawl with low frame rate. The error message your getting is that the game tests the hardware before it runs and due to GPU being to old it will abort and give up this message. The good thing is that most desktops have a PCI Express slot available to add a video card. The video card to add depends on if its a small form factor type of computer or small tower where card dimensions might be an issue was well as what you have for a power supply and what type of card you want to add to just be able to play the games or do you want the higher end performance such as from a nVidia GTX GPU card where you might have to also upgrade the power supply to handle the heavier load of the system. Lastly some games are GPU intensive, but happy with 1 or 2 cores of a CPU. Are there any other games other than Tekken 7 that dont play that you would like to play? As well as any games your considering buying in the future to where we need to make sure you dont under upgrade your system and end up ha... Read more

Hi everyone....

Current PC specs listed above ..... to get it out of the way I am a gamer......

This upgrade is to allow me to play some of the newer games such as The Witcher and also to enable me to utilize DX10 when I eventually upgrade to Vista.

RAM.....this is what I have found...I do not overclock and I am very happy with the matched pair of Corasir XMS 512MB 5400C4 running at 533 that I currently have so I figured the safe bet is in just jumping to a matched pair of 1MB sticks of the same.....

Graphics card.....

I do have a budget and from the reviews I have read this card should carry me through the gaming world for at least the next year (hopefully 2) I like eVGA and I have nothing but good things to say about the eVGA 6800GS that I am currently using.

But if anyone has some input as to problems with the card listed below or if you know of another card that will perform just as well (or better) for around the same price I would like to hear about it.

Hi,
My system came with a R9 270 which I want to replace with a Sapphire Dual X R9 R280x.
That card needs a 6pin and an 8pin connection and the manufacturer's site say a 500W PSU is advised.
So, I'm concerned that I get a new PSU that fits my case, has the right connectors for all the 8700 components, and is say north of 600W.
Could anyone point me in the right direction.
My system info is......
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM 24GB

HiI am looking to upgrade my graphics card (Currently a Geforce 3 TI 200 64mb ddr) to something with a bit more beef preferably less than 2 hundred pounds, I only really need the extra power for games so Tv outs and such like don't interest me.I have looked at the Geforce 4 TI 4600 it has alot of poke but is it going to be short lived as it is not capable of direct x 9 or 8x agp, my motherboard supports 8x agp.Ati radeons have caught my eye but i dont want to pay 250+ for the 9700 Pro, and wondered if the ordinary 9700 at around 200 was close performance wise to the 9700 Pro. Both the ATI cards support 8 x agp and direct x9.I have read that the bandwith (throughput of the 9700 pro is around 19 gig/sec while the TI 4600 is 10.4 gig/sec, I can't seem to get a figure on the 9700 reegarding throughput. Answer:Graphics Card Upgrade

Hi, I think your machine is an HP Pavilion 17-g120nr Notebook :     http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04773635 It has   2.2gHz up to 2.5GHz AMD Quad-Core A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 graphics with up to 2048MB total graphics memory The answer is no, you can't upgrade video card on your machine (actually on nearly all consumers class machines) because your machine has integrated video chip which is "soldered" to the motherboard. Regards.

I have a Dell XPS 8700, and I'm currently looking to upgrade the graphics card and power supply. I've been having issues with games freezing and I want a better graphics card anyway because the 750 Ti just isn't doing it for me. I know I want to get a GeForce GTX 1060, but I am unsure of which power supply I should get. I don't trust the default Dell PSU. My case is ATX so I'd like to get a smaller PSU if possible so there's no issues with space. I'm unsure of which brand I should get and what wattage/voltages I would need. I'd at least like an 80 Plus Gold rating. Also, which 1060 brand should I get? Should I go with a blower-style card to reduce some heat in the case, or just stick with the regular?Specs:Intel i7-479016GB DDR3NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (currently)Seagate 2TB HDDDell 0KWVT8 MotherboardDell 460W PSUPlease let me know if you need more information, and thanks to everyone who takes the time to help me with this!

Answer:What PSU and graphics card should I get for my upgrade?

The 1060 recommends a 400 Watt power supply, but you are smart to not trust the OEM PSU to deliver on it's rating. the PSU is usually the first thing that get's skimped on for pre-built systems, so they can put the money towards components to use as system bullet points.Really it's hard to go wrong with most reputable brands. Just from my own experience, I've purchased a number of Corsair and EVGA power supplies and have had no issues with them at all. Some Examples:EVGA 500+ BronzeCorsair CX500.For a bit more you can also get a modular power supply. Very useful as it avoids having a bunch of wire spaghetti all over the case, since you only plug in the cords you need.Another concern could be the length of the card. I found when upgrading from a 770GTX to a 1070GTX the 1070GTX was actually too long to fit; I had to remove one of my hard drive cages and re-arrange some of my internal disk drives to make space. For a XPS 8700, it looks like (based on some pics) the drive cages at the front might not designed to be removable which could complicate installation.

the major benefit will come playing games so you can justify as a treat for the kids, moving from an mx2 to the fx5200 should produce a noticable improvement, study all the reviews you can find on this site and others to accertain which card will be the best, perhaps the most important consideration and one of the greatest effects on price is dual monitor support ,do you need it?

Due to your A8N-Sli antique socket 939 & nForce4 chipset ,any updating of newer GX card will be a waste of time & money I'm afraid.

Answer:Can I upgrade my Graphics card?

Good evening and welcome to the community.

The HD4000 graphics subsystem is actually an integrated part of the CPU package. There's no discrete graphics card or GPU in the P500, so no upgrade is possible. Sorry to bear the bad news...

Hello all.  I just purchased a Lenovo H50-55, (seemed to have good features at a reasonable price) and am having  difficultly determining if the video can be upgraded from the integrated graphics to a dedicated PCI-e card. Specifically, i was trying to install a EVGA GeForce GTX-560 SE from an older computer that just died.  I contacted Lenovo support, and they were not helpful, and i was told there was no 2nd level support who could accurately answer that question. I have put in an upgraded power supply, that provides the 2x PCIe power connectors for the video card.  I have enabled the PGE option in the BIOS that says it should enable the PCIe controller.  The fans on the PCIe card are spinning - yet the card is not recognized in Windows, and when plugging in the monitor cable it says "no signal detected".  The VGA video is still active - so i was wondering if anyone out there knows if this supposed to be possible?   I reviewed the users guide located here:  https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop_pub/lenovo_h50_hmm_20140929.pdf , which does have a list of video cards.  But i am unsure if that is a list of cards that would possibly have come with the machine from the factory, or if that is a list of the only cards that will work with the H50-55. There is one additional 4 pin connector on the motherboard that says "ODD", i assumed that was for additional optical drive power.. Not sure if anyone knows if tha... Read more

Hi There,  I've recently purchased a H30-50 slim desktop and although the computer came with an Nvidia GTX 745, I would like to upgrade the graphics card to a higher spec card for gaming.  Can this be done on this slim pc?  I was thinking about a GTX 960.  Thanks, your advice is appreciated

Answer:H30-50 upgrade graphics card

That's possible, but since your computer is a SFF, you need something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Overclocked-GDDR5-Graphics-GV-N960IXOC-2GD/dp/B00SD9KZ96. However, it seems like the minimum amount of system power requirement for the GTX745 is 300W, but the GTX960 requires more. Do you know the wattage of your power supply?

You can use something like http://powersupplycalculator.net/ to try and calculate an estimate of power you would need.

Im looking to replace it with a "gtx 1050 2gb. This card requires a 300w psu.
Is this compatible with my pc?

Answer:Graphics Card Upgrade

Two things to watch for:  your system likely doesn't have power connectors for a video card, so be sure the card you buy doesn't need them.s
The other thing is to make sure the card you want fits the system physically - there are differences in physical size depending on the card you choose.
Otherwise, that chip should work -- provided the card itself fits your chassis and draws power only from the mainboard.

Couple of questions:1) For general use, a bit of photo work, video editting and the odd game of GTA-SA, where do you think my money would be best invested - GPU or CPU (say I've got 100 to spend)? 2) This has been bugging me for a while - can I use an ATI card in this setup? What sort of card should I be looking at with my 100?I know this sort of thing can be subjective and it depends on what I use the PC for most, but I'm just trying to get a few real life views based on experience really.Thx

Hi everyone. I hope you can help me with this one.

I want to upgrade my graphics card to be able to play some 3D games. I can't play any 3D games at all, if I try after installation, it hangs itself, or freezes, or I get a black screen. I've been given a couple of games but with out a 3D graphics card...2D just ain't enough!!! lol

Here are my PC Specifications:

Ali Aladdin V AFPset - GA-5AA Motherboard
320Mb Ram
15gig HD
AMD K6-2 450 Mhz CPU
Creative Audigy Player Soundcard
Matrox Millenium PCI Graphics card
O/system - WindowsXP Pro

My PC works well but the graphics card is old (it was orginally out of my really old pc - AST Advantage, purchased in 1994).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have checked out other threads and they've been helpful, but I need to know what would be compatible with the system I've got. Also cost will be playing a big part in what ever card I buy.

Answer:Which Graphics Card Upgrade?

Save your money and go for a 9700 Pro - There'll probably be coming down in price when the Geforce FX becomes more available. Both cards themselves are feature rich in technology that cannot really be utilised until the games support all those extra features. The 9000 is on par or a little over with the Nvidia Geforce 4 MX range. If you just want good graphics for games then ok the 9000 will give you that. But if you really want something special go for the 9700 Pro.

The inbuilt graphics card in my Lenovo 3000 G530 is of 256MB. I wanna upgrade it to 512MB. Can I do that? If yes then what brand should I use?

Answer:Graphics Card upgrade

you can't upgrade the graphics card, the bottleneck of the integrated card is not with the amount of ram used, but rather the GPU processing power itself. 256 mb is more than enough, there is no performance gain by using more ram.

The graphics chip is soldered to the motherboard and is not a removeable or upgradeable component.  Right now HP is running some tremendous Black Friday deals on gaming laptops. They have an i7 7th gen 16 gigs of RAM dedicated video card and a 512 gig PCI-e M.2 drive for $900...normally would cost half again that much.

Answer:Graphics Card upgrade

I don't think that you have a PCI-E slot. Replacing / adding graphics cards to laptops is not possible in 95% cases. I suggest that you contact HP to find out if it's possible.

Your laptop does have an Express Card 54/34 expansion slot. However, I'm not sure if you can add a video card through it.

Hi!I have just bought a B50 aio with an i5 4460T and an integrated intel 4600 graphics card. It was supposed to have a discrete Nvidia geforce 840a too but unfortunately this is not happening! I would like to ask you if there is a possibility of installing myself an Nvidia card sometime and play a decent game. Otherwise I guess I have to sent it back!Thank you very much!JM

Answer:B50 aio graphics card upgrade

You can add one yourself, but it is not easy. Also, it is very hard to find the graphic cards since they are different compared to the other ones used in full desktops. If you bought this from Lenovo or Best Buy, you can always ask for an exchange, because for sure, the B50 is a great machine-sorry you didn't get the graphics card though.

Answer:Best Graphics Card, I can upgrade to.

The best card you can get is the one you can afford. Just go to a higher series AMD card. Something in the 7000 series.

You can only put 1 video card on that board, it only has 1 PCI-Express slot

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...name=c01925486

And you could always max out the memory to 16 GBs (but 8 GBs is fine)

But you might want to spend the money on a really good 550 to 650 watt Power Supply

Hi all,

First time on the forum as this is my very first attempt at upgrading my PC.

I'm having serious doubts whether my 2 year old Dell XPS 210 (Core 2 Duo E6600 Processor 2.4GHz 1066Mhz) box will be able to cope with Street Fighter 4. I've been using the URL link (below) to benchmark my computer against minimum specs of some current graphics heavy games (Far Cry 2, Crysis, Left 4 Dead etc.). The funny thing is that it apparently fails minimum specs for games that seem to already run just fine with my current setup.

Can You Run It?

Anyway the issues are:1. Graphics Card

Currently I still have the factory fitted 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro (PCI Express x16 interface with DVI output) in place. I'm well aware that because of the space saving case, the Dell XPS 210 is notoriously difficult to upgrade, and I suspect (as a newbie) that this impacts on the graphics cards I can upgrade to. I'm told that the Radeon X1300 is a half-height graphics card and my general search for half height replacements similarly have 256MB.
Would I be able to replace my current PCI-Express x16 graphics card with a (half-height) PCI-Express 2.0 card?
Are there any more powerful (>256MB) low-profile/half-height graphics card you guys can recommend?
Hopefully I won't have to start considering about replacing the power supply as well, since I have exactly no knowledge about that what-so-ever.

2. RAM

At the moment I have 2GB's (2x1024MB) worth of Dual Channel 53... Read more

Hi I am new to this site I am running XP on Tiny pc pentium 111 about 5 years old I want to use google earth but it is very slow to load I understand that I need a graphics card that is 3D-capable with 32MB ram and screen should be 32-bit True colour
My existing card is Intel(r) 82810 I assume this is not 3d capable I can only configure screen to medium 16 bit or high 24 bit not 32 bit as recommended, does anyone know if I should upgrade graphics card and if so what do I purchase. Are they easy to install, is it just a matter of swopping the old for new? I am not a techi so plain advice please
Thanks

Answer:graphics card upgrade

Yes, buying a new graphic card is very simple and easy, it's quite unlikely that any problems should occur. However, your Pentium III is probably another one of your limiting factors.

As for the graphics card, all you have to do is first find out which interface (slot) your motherboard supports. Most motherboards during the Pentium III age would of been AGP or PCI. All you need to do is find a suitable graphics card for your motherboard, purchase it (obviously ) and slot it into the correct slot on the motherboard. After that you may need to install some drivers which should be provided on a CD-ROM

Unfortunately, I don't think that the B110 has an AGP or PCI-Express slot, and no I don't feel like buying an entirely new motherboard.

No it doesn't, as seen here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim1100/EN/SM/parts.htm#wp1076314

You don't want to update to a new board with PCI-Express, but you want a better graphics card to game with !

... Well there is a good Topic here: http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic51437.html

But I wouldn't do that

I'm a graphic artist using my fiance's computer HP All In One 20-d034. My question is I'm a member of Adobe CC and run the latest versions of Photoshop & Illustrator mainly. I'm unable to use the 3D functions of these programs due to OpenGL issues. Can I upgrade the graphics card? The drivers installed are the best that I can get for the factory installed card.

Yes you can use the Radeon card but not at it's full potential (because it's an AGP 8x card)

I have 2yr old AMD Athlon 1333mhz Evesham computer. Is it worth upgrading NVidia GeForce2MX/MX400 to latest Radeon card and is it safe to do so?

Answer:upgrade graphics card

It's always a good idea to upgrade and if your PC has an AGP slot, which is highly likely, then go for it.Why are you going for the latest RADEON...when you say latest Radeon, do you mean the 9700 or 9800 ect, which are very expensive? Baring in mind that a lot of games don't actually fully use the power of top spec cards. Can you tell me why you have opted for Radeon instead of G-Force? Just curious. If you are going to spend a few bob I would have opted for the G-Force Ti4200, this will be a major jump from your current card, without burning a huge hole in your purse. What ammount of ram do you have?Im a nosey we git...I just like to build a picture, lol!

Answer:graphics card upgrade

Some 'low profile' cards here, but note no mention of gaming power. I don't know which would be an upgrade. Also the psu might be a problem if you get someone to recommend a low profile card. Sorry I can't be of further help.

I have a Dell Inspiron 3650 and was wondering if I can upgrade the graphics card to geforce gtx 960 or if there are any other graphics cards that I can upgrade to.

Answer:Graphics Card Upgrade

No you cant.  The Slim Case will only take low profile Geforce 210 to 610 cards.

i wanna upgrade my current card ( nvidia riva TNT 16mb ), but is it a case of just slotting in any card or are there restrictions due to motherboard type, speed etc????

Answer:Graphics card upgrade

There are SOME restrictions depending on MotherBoard and it's AGP slot.If memory serves there are two types of card and 3 types of AGP slot.1 takes AGP type A (for example)1 takes AGP type B1 takes AGP A & Bnow, the trouble is I can't remember the difference or why they are different! It may well be because of the version whether is AGP, AGP 2x, AGP 4x or AGP 8x.Sorry I can't be of more help until I find the article I need.

480GB SSD for programs and a few 1TB disk drives
Thanks in advance!

hi folks , my system consists of asus p67 deluxe rev 1.xx i7 920 12 gig ram NVidia gtx295 ,would like to upgrade graphics card ,anyone please tell me which would be best ,thanks

Answer:graphics card upgrade

This may help but you already have a very powerful if old graphics card but at least it gives you a number of comparisons. I would advise further checks as there are comparisons between the 295 and 580 for example that give a different perspective.

Hi everyone,I just got Test Drive: Unlimited for my PC and everything meets the requirements except my video card, currently I have an nVidia GeForce 6150 LE with 256 MB Video Ram,Windows XP Home SP2, 1 GB Ram, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ and a Dell computer and I was planning to buy this card: http://www.stonebridgecomputing.com.au/catalog/-p-12290.html, will it work with my PC and will it let me play the game properly?  If not, which graphics card do you recommend? Thanks for the help

Answer:Graphics card upgrade

your GeForce...Sadly, is integrated into your motherboard GeForce 6150 LE    * Manufacturing process: .09micron (90nm)    * Core Clock: 475 MHz    * Vertex Processors: 1    * Pixel Pipelines: 2    * Shader Model: 3    * DirectX support: v9    * Video playback acceleration: HD video acceleration        * Memory: Shared DDR2 (socket 939/AM2) system memory (selectable through BIOS - usually 32/64/128/256 MB)Your new card, is a PCI-e card...which means your motherboard will have to have this type of slot on it to fit into to work...So before we even get close to a yay/nay we need to know your motherboard model. If you dont know how to find this out or dont know yourself, get Sandra from http://downloads.guru3d.com/SiSoftware-Sandra-XII-2008-SP2-(14.24)-download-1391.html and once installed, select hardware tab, and double click motherboard to get a big list of components and specs, then click the disk at the bottom to save a report, and post it here Kurtis

Recently i posted a thread regarding upgrading a few things on my Pc. This is a side note from that. I currently have a Gefore FX5900 Nividia card. I want to upgrade to a faster newer card with at least pixel shading 2. I know that the PCI express cards are the go. Unfortunately i dont have a mother board that supports PCI -e so i have to go for a AGP card. What is the best and fastest card i can get ? Not stressed about the money. But whats the best. 6600 was mentioned by someone. Cheers in advance.

Answer:Graphics card upgrade.

well here is one of the best ones, but really for that price with only agp slot it's not really worth it, because you will only see so much of a good speed boost

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161069

or better prices

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150210

but how old is your system, because to play games these days you may want to just save up and consider a rebuild

Answer:Do I need a graphics card upgrade for this?

Maybe more RAM, as your PC is overall pretty weak.

I have new pc which had an onboard graphics card with shared memory. I have now fitted a new GeForce AGP card and wonder if there is anything to alter in the bios to complete the installation?.The card appears to have installed correctly but being cynical I am sure that this is not everything. The only thing that I have noticed is that the option to go into standby mode automatically no longer seems to take effect although the monitor does shut down, whilst this is not crucial it bugs me not knowing why.

Answer:Graphics card upgrade

Did you disable the onboard graphics in the BIOS? This is not always necessary as some BIOS's will detect the add-in card and disable the onboard graphics automatically. If everything seems to be working OK, you probably don't need to do anything else.
