Question: Who do you contact if the DELL India Escalation and Support Team fails to provide support for brand new Laptops

We are Dell resellers and had placed an order for 43 Laptops - Dell Latitude 3560 with Dell on 13th June, 2016. We delivered them to our customer on Friday 17th June, 2016. On Monday 20th June we discovered that all the Laptops are faulty and are not functioning properly. They have not been able to use a single system due to touchpad issues in the entire lot
We have made innumerable calls Dell to resolve the problem, but the team is unable to identify and rectify the problem.
We have spoken to our partner account manager, regional account manager, Service Specialist and Escalation Team, requesting them to provide us with a solution at the earliest as their work is getting hampered. Our customer has to deploy the same by 1st July however they do not have any Dell Laptops functioning correctly.
How do we escalate this to the Dell management and get a replacement ASAP

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

When I installed Win8 on one computer I need a H.P. printer driver. So I went to H.P. support/download did not find the needed driver so I called their Tech. support. A friendly support guy looked at my system and told me my copy of Microsoft Win8 bought at Best Buy was not a legit copy, also my system had been infected and they needed to remove my Win8 clean my system and reinstall Win8. made me a deal of a reduced price of $250US I knew this was not right so I begged them good buy went to Best Buy where I have good friends in the Geek Squad. they got the needed driver and printer works fine.
Today my Netgear routher died, called Netgear to get my lifetime warranty. This also was a support in India guy said it would cost $39US to make sure it was the router I said thanks but no thanks. Took my old Netgear router back to Best Bye where I bought it three years ago and they gave me a new Netgear router. I needed setup help so called Netger as new user also in India guy was friendly looked at my system and helped me get it setup. Then he informed me my computer was under attack and my files were being read he could fix my system and protect my files for the small sum of just $85US. Well I was using a small backup H.P. computer on the Net. hardwired and it was almost never used. So I knew it was a India Tech. support scam again.

I have a Precision M4400 and somehow the BIOS admin password is locked and I cannot access the BIOS settings anymore.I called Dell Support twice, spent a lot a time waiting on the phone, also waited weeks for a resolution to my request, and finally they won't provide a password even if I am willing to pay the fee for that.
Does anyone know an alternative solution?

Answer:Dell Tech Support won't provide BIOS unlock password for Precision M4400

If you can't verify your ownership of the machine, they won't  unlock it -- if that's the case, you have just one option:  replace the mainboard.  If you do that, be ABSOLUTELY sure the seller guarantees there's no password on the replacement you buy.

How can I contact Dell support for replacing the battery on my XPS 9550?
I haven't used this laptop regularly so the battery is fine at the moment, but I'm worried that it my bloat up any time soon.

My HDD crashed 3 weeks ago so I am trying to install windows 8 on my new HDD from my backup DVDs created by dell backup and recovery. I am constantly getting this error  " error 0x4001100200001005 if problems persists contact Dell support "
On reading several threads on this forum it looks like I need OEM windows disks but I don't  find any disk ( except cyberlink media suite dvd ) in my laptop box. Please help me out I am stuck with the dead system. I don't want to purchase a new windows license.

Finally I solved this problem and for anyone having similar issues i am sharing the solution
The problem in my case is that my backup DVDs got corrupted ( I don't know how ) and hence the error  0x4001100200001005 is coming up
Now the problem is How to restore an OEM ( preinstalled ) windows if you lose both HDD and backup
First of all remember that the preinstalled Windows on your system comes with a key. If you don't have a Physical backup of key don't worry your System Bios will have the embedded key in them. So even if you lose your HDD you can still retrieve your key from any software like Show Key Plus.
Here are the steps to reinstall a OEM windows 
1.Retrieve your windows key by any software ( R/W everything or Show key plus etc. )
2. Also note down the version of your original windows like Home, Professional, Enterprise, Single language  or whatever. This is critical to know the exact version of your windows otherwise the key won't work.
3. Now download the same version of windows from anywhere ( like getintopc.com )
4. Take it in any external drive mount the ISO file and run the setup
5. Now here is a trick - When windows prompt you for a Key Don't enter your OEM key because it will simply reject it by saying that it is not the correct key for this version of windows ( I don't know why ?)
Instead of your key use Windows Generic Keys to complete the installation.

I would like to ask your opinion about Dell Australia technical support and Dell Pro support (the one you pay extra for next business day service).  What do you think about it? Are you satisfied? I am starting to believe that it is actually a scam. Let me explain: 
A few days ago my laptop (Dell XPS 15 Haswell) died, it wouldn't power up. I called support and they told me they will send someone to replace the motherboard in 2 days (it was 17:30 or something). I also explained them that it is very important to have the laptop up and running this week because this is the laptop I use to work. After two days the technician came at my place (he was late, I missed two important meetings at work because of that) and replaced the motherboard.  After he left I realised that the laptop will power up itself after shut down from both Windows and Linux. To avoid that I had to hard-shut down (press power button continuously). I called them back and the PRO support was insisting that it was a software problem. I was explaining them that this is impossible based on several facts. They even asked me to run a GPU test from windows which was just testing the D3D11 capabilities of the GPU. Clearly the technicians at PRO support are incompetent. After spending 2+ hours on the phone they realised the obvious: The problem was indeed a hardware problem. I own a Lenovo Ideapad Z510 laptop which has ADP warranty. Seems, my laptop has a history of issues with Wireless card and unfortunately I came across that once again (earliest it came up in August 2016)Story in August'2016:Lenovo teams took over 2 months to fix the issue by replacing the Wireless card. I had a really really hard time in convincingly the Lenovo support teams over phone that the issue is indeed a problem with WiFi card hardware (the traditional Lenovo diagnostic applications such as Lenovo solution center and were not able to even detect the problem). During the course of the issue, 4 times Lenovo team had shipped wrong replacement hardware and each such instance took almost 3 hours of troubleshooting which came as by-product while the replacement part was faulty or incompatible with my Laptop.Story in April'2017:This time fortunately, Lenovo support agreed about the WiFi card replacement in the first attempt itself. They even send the replacement hardware in just 2 days (though it came out to be incompatible with my Laptop). Thereafter, it has been 3 weeks since then and there is no progress on this case. I am writing because I have been the victim of what I believe is a "Dell's inside job" in this technical support scam to Dell computer users out of warranty or expired technical support based in INDIA. I have been a DELL customer since 2003, always had the best tech support with no problem, even when I called once about 7 years ago, they cleaned my computer for $49.00 which was ok with me with no problem. I bought an all in one computer in 2012, with 3 years of tech support. My problem started when I called DELL April/2016 of course I didn't get help because my computer wasn't covered, they wanted me to pay $89,00 one time service, at that time what I really wanted was to get my computer back to windows 8.1 I wasn't happy with 10, my computer was running fine. A week later I started getting calls from ladies with Hindu accent claiming to be from Dell wanting to help me fix my computer. I was always busy and I told them I had no time to seat for 2 hours to do it. i currently have a dell Inspiron 5558 laptop for over an year now but the screen stop working over 6 months ago, i looked up the warranty information at the time of screen stopped working and was re-assured that it showed February 18, 2017 therefore i did not consider that it is very urgent to call tech support since i have other laptops. today when i call the support service, i was informed that product was not registered and i have to pay $233 to replace the LCD screen, they still argued that dell warranty website showed the correct information but when i looked it up, the website still displays the same.  did anyone else encounter this issue??

Started about a month ago - pops up over and over and over and over - about every five minutes or less.  I've got a Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 Professional.  Another forum said to just uninstall Dell Support Center (Support Center Software) - but when I try to uninstall it - THE SAME STUPID WINDOW POPS UP ASKING ME TO INSERT THE SOFTWARE.  I tried doing a Browse and it's looking for DSC20.msi.  I haven't managed to find it yet.  I have at least found \Program Files(x86)\Dell Support Center but there's so many sub-directories...
I shouldn't have to be jumping through so many hoops just to uninstall a program.  This is driving me crazy and I haven't found an answer online yet.

I just bought a brand new notebook envy 15T as100 cto. The notebook is not working well out of the box. The screen flashes and it is garbled. I used the chat service three times, the first two technicians were polite but they could not help my problem ( they checked BIOS, updated win10 and display drivers, flash drivers, etc.). I tried the chat service again today, the third technician from today referred me to Smart Friend for a nominal fee. got an unsolicited call from the Microsoft Support Team telling me I had a virus and they were getting a message and they were there to help me. They asked me to press the Microsoft flag key and "r" key at the same time. That brought up a box with gpedit.msc in it. Then they began asking me to delete stuff at which point I short circuited. Told them I did not believe who they said they were and I hung up after explaining I am a senior senior (meaning old) and did not trust them, the government, the political parties, the IRS, the local pastor nor my wife and to go away.

Did I do right? Is it possible Microsoft Corporation has the money to help me with my computer when I am not paying them to do so, nor asking for any help, nor having any specific problem. I use MS security essentials and keep the system up to date.

Or am I an over suspicious old goat out of touch with the modern world??

Do Dell Vostro 2520 Laptops support RAM upgrades and/or Processor Upgrades? Please explain.

It's been 3 years with Vostro 2529 and I'm extremely satisfied with performance. I just wabt to upgrade the CPU and/or RAM, to continue using for few more years.

Desktops can be upgraded but it is not easy or cost effective on laptops even if it were possible. Save the money for a new computer. Ram can be upgraded to 8GB. So if you already have 8 gb you are at the max. Read this review for the difficulty of upgrading this model--

Is there anyone actually providing HP support at the moment?  My laptop stopped working and after hours on the phone, we sent it in for repair.  It came back and worked for 3 hours before it stopped working again.  And now I can't even get technical support on the telephone.  My situation was "escalated" into what appears to be a black box.  Does anyone know if technical support actually exists at HP? /Chris

I bought HP pavilion ab125ax on 6 july and from starting i was getting error saying display driver has stop responding and laptop was heating like anything. on 10 JULY I have raised issue with [personal information removed]. same issue I told to HP support also but every time they told me to update the driver and BIOS. which i have done.
i have refactor the laptop.Update BIOS
i have update the Latest driver
i have update the Driver provided by AMD support also.
But still laptop has same problem.
and HP support team told me that they are going to send the engineer and after that they will replace the product. but not engineer visited my place.
 
on 21 july i ask them to replace the laptop then they said 14 days already over now they will not replace it.
 
Now You tell me from 10 july no engineer visited till now and they are saying replacement is not possible because 14 days over. Is this my problem that you people not sending the engineer to check the problem?
 
Now I don?t know what to do with this laptop.
May be I will prepare one video to show the HP laptop/HP support issues and upload it in internet so that every one will see the HP face.

After issues with my old Dell, when it came time to replace my laptop, I pushed for something different -- found a reasonably configured E530 for a decent price and bought it. I spent a week getting all my data transferred, software loaded and everything configured the way I wanted. Things started acting up a bit here and there and I was trying to determine whether it was a Windows 8 issue, an IE10 issue, or a hardware issue. After being pestered by the Lenovo popups to diagnose hardware problems, I decided to run the diagnostics and found a couple severe errors on the Western Digital 750GB HDD. I logged the problem online with Lenovo on Friday, February 1 at 10:00 AM -- at 11:00 I logged in to check the status of my problem. I was happy to see the following:HDD ISSUES A REPLACEMENT HARD DRIVE WAS SHIPPED FOR CUSTOMER INSTALLATION. REPLACEMENTS NORMALLY ARRIVE IN 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS. PREPAID LABELS WILL BE INCLUDED TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE PART. IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS PLE...  ant the status was CLOSED.At this point, I thought everything was handled and started adjusting my schedule to perform the image on Wednesday, February 6. I'd like to make 1 of them to be an extender, but I can't figure it out. The instructions aren't that difficult, but anything that I read online doesn't explain it fully and in 100% clear terms or even for this specific model.

Does Cisco provide customer support for their products? Like, do they support tech calls within 30 days of purchase of the product? If so, how do I contact them? Anyone have a specific # that they use?

Depends on where you buy it from. If you don't buy it through an authorized channel and the unit really came from a different country (most of the time these units are cheaper) then you do not get 90 day support, that is the downside.

Proper relellers normally come with 90 days.

Or you can get a support contract

I'm thinking of taking advantage of the T410 sales and get a 128MB SSD as part of the configuration. 1) What's the brand of 128MB SSD used in the current T410 builds? (searching found Samsung SSDs are commonly used in the T410 builds -- that still true)? 2) Do the latest SSDs being used support TRIM? 3) With the current sales, you can get a i7-620m with a 128MB SSD for only $100 more than a i5-560m with a 250GB spindle drive. Seems that the i7 and SSD is the obvious choice. Will battery life be the same with the i7 configuration compared to the i5? I know both are dual-cores that run at basically the same clock speeds, and the i7 has more cache.

1.) The brand of 128GB SSD in the current T410 builds is either that of Samsung, Toshiba, or Intel. All of these brands use different controllers (AFAIK). I believe it's also more 'luck-of-the-draw' than anything when you get the T410: an interesting choice since all 3 makes of drive have different speeds due to the different controllers (and they aren't the fastest controllers on the market by any stretch though I believe that all 3 offer similar performance).2.) Yes, they should (as these controllers do).3.) Battery life will be exactly the same. The only thing about the i5 vs. the i7 is that the i7 has a bigger turbo boost than the i5 (which doesn't really kick in during normal use)- all other clocks are the same (and the CPU's both kick off at maximum 35 watts of heat- they use the same amount of power).From what I've heard, though, the new T420 (which should be available sometime this month) has better battery life and supports faster SSDs should you decide to add one later if you go that route.

Hello there,
I presently use a Nokia E6 and was thinking of getting a Lumia 830. The specifications on GSM arena say that the phone comes with LTE however the specifications on the Nokia India (microsoft now) website mention only GSM and WCDMA.
Is it possible that the version being shipped in India has LTE disabled? Or are there phones without LTE being manufactured specifically for some markets?

Hey Lenovo team, The P50 website for Lenovo India ( http://shopap.lenovo.com/in/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/p50/ ) does not have a configurator & online purchase platform unlike the US website ( http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/p50/ ). I emailed TheDoStore support ([email protected]), requesting information on the configuration options available in India and got the following response: "... unfortunately we don't have an expert who would be able to respond to you. We would like you to please call 1800 3000 9991 where an expert will be handle your query and give you the best possible advice.  ..."  - Not the most encouraging of emails. And the 'expert' team at 1800 3000 9991 was not very competant. They could confirm only the configuration that was available in stock and could not even confirm if other options (see below) were either out-of-stock or not-launched/not-available in India. Could somebody help me out with the following?Processor: Are the i7-6820HQ & Xeon E3-1505M options available?Display: Is the 4k IPS non-touch available?Storage options?And what are the buying options for the P50?Is 1800 3000 9991 really the only option? Or are there other resellers? Is it expected to be listed elsewhere online, where I can see and verify the configuration, rather than just trust an 'expert' over a phone call?

Dell Support "Assist" just ran without giving me an option to stop, pause, or control in anyway.  It was using nearly all computer resources (I could barely save the word document I had open at the time).  This isn't "assist" more like computer take over.

How can I control the S. "Assist"?  How can I adjust the time between it's runs (currently it looks like monthly)?  After finishing it's scan or whatever it finally closed (cuz it wouldn't close the 20 times or so I clicked the "X").  I then opened it, looking for some results of the scan, and found none.  How can I view results?

Right now, seems like worthless bloatware.

Also, there is not a [New Post] button on the Laptop Forum (at least for me).

I have just been through an extremely frustrating experience with Lenovo Service in India. I am using an X1 Carbon (Gen-2) (2014 Model) with the adaptive keyboard. Machine type is 20A8. My machine is under on-site global warranty and was purchased in Singapore. I am presently residing in Mumbai, India. I have been using Thinkpads since several years and most of my machines are bought overseas but have never experienced problems with servicing or part replacements. In November, my keyboard was acting very erratic and some keys were unresponsive at times. When I contacted support, they had me install the latest drivers etc. but that did not resolve the issue. Finally, in November end, I was informed that the keyboard would need replacement and since the machine was under an onsite warranty, it would be replaced. I also got a confrimation email from Lenovo confirming that teh ETA for the part was 16th December, 2014 and once Lenovo Support in India receives the part, an engineer would be contacting me. However, today i.e. on the scheduled delivery date, I was shocked to receive an email from someone with designation "Case Manager" stating that "as the system purchased from Singapore parts are not available in India hence the case has been cancelled. I would request you to contact Singapore support on Lenovo Services ([email protected]) for further assistance." This is really not expected of Lenovo's service that they make you wait for more than 20 days ... Hi, Yesterday I apparently made a very costly error! On reading the changes associated with BIOS 1.21 for the x220 (improved system performance and boot time) I clicked yes and installed the update through System Update. After auto-rebooting to complete the flash, the system hung on shutdown for more than 5 minutes. Two hard resets later (to escape the same problem) and a standby request (Fn+F4) triggered the first blue screen I have seen on this machine. Since then, the laptop will not boot. The power light/thinklight turn on, as well as the speaker mute and mic mute buttons, but nothing else happens except the quiet whirr of the cooling fan. The screen has remained black ever since, as has my mood. Removing the RAM and SSD gave some beeps, but otherwise nada. Today I called the Lenovo support in Japan and had no problem finding out, to my horror, that Lenovo wants more than 50% of the laptop cost to replace the motherboard. They said that this repair is in the same category as a water damage repair and that they will not cover it under warranty. I am saddened by this since I clicked on an update recommended by Lenovo through Lenovo's System Update software, I did not carelessly tip coffee into the machine. At no point did I see a warning saying that a failed BIOS update is not covered by the warranty, nor can I find this in the US warranty terms. I've registered a complaint regarding my poor battery backup issue and the lenovo tech agreed to replace it.
 
Now it's been about 4 weeks and still they haven't replaced my battery.
 
I must've called their support more than 7-8 times.

Everytime when I call their support no, they are telling different stories.
 
First they said that single battery for the lenovo ideapad z570 is not available in entire INDIA(it's pathetic), so they were going to order it from china.
 
Now they are saying that single battery arrived from china is DOA(Dead On Arrival).
They still dont know what to do and what to say, and  i really dont have faith in them.
If you can't arrange for a spare parts, then why do you sell laptops in my country?????
 
Now I regret the decision of buying a Lenovo. I"m really frustrated with their support.
 
Can anybody in this forum help me or suggest me some ways to get my battery?

I've searched and also read about the new support site - and visited it.  Unfortunately, I just can't seem to figure out how to contact Lenovo support about a possible issue with my X220.  I have the i7 model with USB 3.0 and the USB 3.0 port is only working intermittently.  I contacted Western Digital through their support site, exchanged a few emails, and they suggest it might be a compatibility issue.  I've googled and tried lots of things, but would like to get some feedback from Lenovo.  (So far no luck by posting about the issue here or other notebook sites - understandable, since it may not be a common issue). I really don't want to call ... just want to send in a "ticket" and see if I can get some help or perhaps escalate the issue through the support group. Thanks!

for quite some time now, I'm trying to figure out how to contact Dell about a question I have about their products. Now I found this:

I never noticed this app before until today. An app listed in start menu called 'Contact Support'. So I clicked it just to take a look. But the app just starts to open and then immediately crashes/shuts off. I logged into another user acc on my machine and it opens just fine.

Usually if an app is playing up on my computer I go into the settings - apps list and reset the app which normally sorts things out. But contact support is missing from the list. Does anyone use the app and have any problems with it?

I noticed the app in my start menu but never tried it. It opened just fine in all my user accounts. Have you run a System File Checker scan just to verify your 10 doesn't have any damaged or corrupt system files? (Right click start menu > command prompt (admin) > type in sfc /scannow > click enter.) And I don't see it in settings > apps either.

Not trying to be funny about this, but if the scan comes back "no integrity violations found" I think I'd use the Contact Support app from the working user acct to find out why it works in one acct and not another. Seems ironic - having to contact support to find out why support isn't working.

What is Lenovo support made of, exactly? My company has bought a Thinkpad T430 from them at a good price, and there is warranty on the device for another 6 months or so. There is a software quality issue with the touchpad driver that really kills it for me, and I would like to first bring this to Lenovos attention and at least get some sort of acknowledgement from their representative to the fact that the issue exists, and also to get their response and help with it. I hit the Support link, and there is nothing there like a chat or support request links. I tried Contact Us, and at the following page, where one of the items for some strange reason is in Italian, and another is in Norwegian, even though I have explicitly configured English as language, and everything else is in English as well. ?Does Lenovo actually have any support? I mean as in real support, not automated knowledge base, where I could not find the issue mentioned above, after looking through a list of more than one hundred entries. How do I initiate some sort of support related conversation with some Lenovo people? Is it not completely appalling how you buy advertised laptop worth hundreds of dollars, that includes tens of distinct hardware components and also tens of software components (if not hundreds) and there is no *actual* support for the item?

I still have every warranty except POW but i cant seem to contact support. When i go and click contact technical support it states:

Notebook ceased to function a week ago. Beep code (3 flashes) indicates memory. Cannot power off, have to remove battery, as startup goes into cycle of three attempts then a click and sound of HDD winding down then attempts start again.  Faulty power button? Safe mode start does not work. Been online to submit support request and form says netbook is out of warranty - but I have a care pack valid to 24.10.16  Have submitted this as a dispute twice with message saying I will be contacted within 1 working day So far no contact - not even email of confirmation. No email or phone number available to follow this up. Support site is appalling example of how to frustrate customers.

Hi, I have few issues with my Lenovo Yoga X1 and I want to contact support directly by opening support ticket describing my problems. Does Lenovo have support at all or we are left with these forums only?I have many issues like:- Integrated SIM data access card is very often not working and sometimes I need to wait for it for 20-30 minutes to "start up" until I can use my mobile internet- When I first bought my laptop I had an option for automatic keyboard backlight (laptop detects environment and sets it accordingly). That option is gone now and I cannot enable it anywhere.- Sometimes my fingerprint sensor data somehow gets reset and I have to do it all over again (set it up, etc.). As if BIOS is reset to factory settings on it's own- When I connect to my laptop using RDP  Wacom ISD Service starts killing my CPU and only way to get rid of it is to stop the service (which affects digitizer then)- Battery lasts around 5 hours at best even on power saving mode- Intel bluetooth driver cannot install. I tried more than once and it fails each time (using Lenovo companion).  I have all the latest drivers and BIOS firmware installed. Also all the Windows updates are installed.

Hi, I'm trying to buy the GOBI 2000 WWAN Card (Part# 60Y3183/78Y1399) for my Thinkpad T410 (model # 2516CTO), one of my friend in US is helping me get it, unfortunatley Lenovo has discontinued selling the product, I would have to purchase it through Amazon or other sellers.I was told that no other WWAN modules will be compatible with T410 other thank the GOBI 2000, so guessing it is my only choice. I currently use Reliance Net Connect with USB, and started feeling that it adds unnecessary complication when moving around.Hence I'm planning for this upgrade. My real question is, will this card work in India with a carrier like Vodafone or Reliance? When I purchased Surface Pro 3 about 4 years ago, Windows 8 was installed. I was able to see my saved files on One Drive cloud between devices. Then I updated to Windows 10 and lost the connection between One Drive cloud and Surface installed One Drive. Talked to Windows 10 Tech. Said it was not the install issue. Said it was Surface issue. I could not get help.
I still have 50 g of storage on the Surface One Drive. The on-line One Drive cloud only has 5.
I went into my Microsoft account and I was able to sign in to access the One Drive cloud through the sign in account. Because I am not signed into One Drive on Surface Pro 3, I was told to sign in. When I try to sign into One Drive through Surface, they tell me I cannot use the same password and need to set up another Microsoft account. I am very frustrated and which I never installed Windows 10 or purchased Surface Pro 3. Can anyone help me?

Hi folks. This is my first post. I bought the Envy notebook back in February. The battery does not hold a charge, and although unused discharges completely within 2 weeks. I cannot find a support telephone # online, or chat link, or location of HP service center anywhere to to get this hardware issue to the attention of HP. and get it resolved. HP's website is extremely unhelpful. Thanks for any insight.

I have a Probook 6555b laptop (a gift from previous employer, when we had new laptops, the old ones were given to us)with windows 7serial nr: CNU0370DR6product: WD719EA#ABYAnd I need help - it has worked fine as home laptop for more than two years, but suddenly wouldnt accept log on one day - and while trying to create a new user myself, it locked in BIOS and will not accept my own created passwordBIOS log on opens and states my initials: BSC but does not accept any know password at all...first problem: I cant acces HP support - since the prescreening for product type, does not recognize my serial number?! (and Yes, tried to type it in many ways, big/small letters and everything else).. it says serial number is not a Probook 6555b - but when trying to identify by product number - it is recognized as a Probook 6555b... but I can not go further to find acces to HP support, since it then returns to typing in the serial number... so i feel like a hampster in a threadmill....HELP!

I got no info when I bought 3yr nbd intl. warranty I bought online at same time as w520. The only number I can find on web is for "standard" support is 08705-500-900 which is 9-6 m-f. Is there any weekend or ooh phone support?

I'm not sure how Gibraltar would work for service. It is a long way for service centers in other parts of UK. I would call the number you have first, but they might tell you do deal with somewhere physically closer, like Spain or Morocco. I just don't know. Here is the list of phone numbers. I have had recently quite some discussions on https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/Easy-Camera-not-working-on-my-710S-13IK... my camera not working on Lenovo 710S-13IKB . I got several advices, none of them was working. I somehow partially resolved the problem and the camera sometimes works and sometimes not (I do not know how to control this). I think this is a typical software problem with the driver. But, I am most annoyed because I cannot find a direct Lenovo contact for technical support (e-mail address, phone number, maybe even on-line help on distance). There is a contact phone number for my country but does not work. SO, I AM ASKING YOU WHO TO CONTACT ON A LENOVO SIDE FOR A TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my new Lenovo computer, but this camera issue really sucks...And even worse, I think Lenovo technical support service is really poor or even there is not one??? Large dissapointment. So, please give me useful contact details for Lenovo support- which are operative. The computer is under warranty and my last solution is to give the computer to the service. But this is an extremely annoying option - I need the computer daily!

Anybody can tell me the email of warranty suport department?I dont konw why Lenovo makes the website so inconvenient! Hi, I bought my Alienware from Germany, I have a problem with the system memory, and I have to change the ram, but upon opening the tech support I get the German contact, and not the Israeli one. 
How can I contact the tech support here, in order to get this fixed?

I have Norton 360 installed on my computer
It says that my computer isnot secure because it needs to do a LiveUpdate, however when I try to do a live update it says that its already running in another process.
I have opened up my task manager and tried to shut eerything else down. I have restarted my computer and also uninstalled and reinstalled the product.
When I try to contact the technical support all windows close.
I dont know what else to do.
Im kinda stuck since my computer is currently vulnerable to viruses and such.
Please help me !

Once on that page, I am informed ask question is no longer available. It then redirects to live chat.. been on again today for 3 hours doing this endless loop. Never seen such poor support access and need a response as this is in warranty

I purchased a Lumia 920 in January 2013, and I'm an ardent lover or the OS. I've found it much better in usage than iOS or Android. I purchased the extended warranty from Nokia during my first year of use. My phone did develop a problem. There was yellow patches all over the screen, and when I went to show it to the Care center, they asked me to submit it for repairs.
I asked them how much time would it take for repairs, and I was given an estimate of 21 workings days. I submitted my phone on 14th October 2014. I was quite shocked at such a long turn-around-time, but I still went ahead having no option.
I asked for a replacement phone from them, and they gave me a candy phone, with only basic function of calling and sms. I told them, I'm a premium customer as per their own classification, (Lumia range is considered premium and the ucstomers are supposed to get high quality service), and the least I can expect from them is to give me any lumia phone to use in the absence of my original 920. Even a Lumia 520 would be good enough.
They said there was no such policy, and this is the only thing they had. I could take it or leave it. I argued a lot but reluctantly gave in. For all highly tech enthusiasts, who are so dependent on their smartphone through the day, imagine having to use a candy phone with no internet access, no mails, no whatsapp, no apps for a month now.

Hello,I have read a couple of blog articles related to USB3 enabled laptops and I get the impression that the USB3 port isn't propperly enabled on the W-Series laptops as well - because the USB 3.0 driver available is just a 1.0.19.0 and not the newer version 2.0.4.0. Many people are currently looking forward to utilize these new USB3 devices, which unfortunately require very often these propperly enabled USB3 ports.Is there a newer driver coming out soon?BRGuido

The hinges on my Envy 17" are breaking and popping open the case.  I have tried to contact support though the normal online methods, but the web page will not accept my machine serial and/or product. I have used autodetect to find this info, it is populated automatically into the contact web page, but then it bounces back. When given the option to manually enter the info (a later page) the boxes where the data is to be put are grayed out, preventing entry.SO...I am posting in public as yet another VERY unhappy camper.Seems this hinge problem has been going on for many years. There has been a class action lawsuit (now closed) and I have a machine that is still under months of warranty that is literally falling apart.What is HP doing to rectify this situation? I can not be without my machine as I use it for my work.

I bought an ''Alba personal DAB radio and 1GB mp3 player 11 months ago

The DAB/mp3 player is not picking up any channels anymore (even where there is plenty of signal), the joystick is faulty because it does not move left properly and the earphones do not work.

i have not been able to find the alba customer support, in order to ask for a replacement. (i have a one year guarantee on it).

I took the free update to windows 10 and it did not carry forward the licence for the pre installed  Windows Office. This means that I have an option to purchase a replacement licence from Microsoft. I have spent over an hour today with windows support and they say that HP can reset the licence - does anyone know how I can contact HP Support as I cannot use any of the MS Office unless I pay Microsoft.

I am having an issue with my headphones and after attempting various solutions on my own, I thought it necessary to contact Lenovo directly for guidance. It was a challenge to get as far as the contact page, but now I find that the contact page will not load properly, i.e., I cannot access any links on the page.
