I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Here's a similar thread on the forum. If you can follow the code, then you can adapt it to suit your needs.

I'm in HR and I have a spreadsheet that incorporates staff information commencing, with each month in a new sheet. Unfortunately, department managers are forgetting to do staff reviews at 3mth, 5mth or the 6mth probation. I've entered formula to calculate these dates from the staff commencement date.
Now I need to find out if I can have some sort of Macro or VBA coding to email me a reminder to contact the managers a week prior to the the review/probation dates.

Please help! I have no idea with coding/programming etc.

Answer:Excel 2016 to send Outlook email reminders on various dates

Try the attached, one thing to note that you had the probation dates in the wrong place

6mth, 3mth and 5mth

so I changed it to 3\5\6

when you open the workbook the macro will run and generate an email IF any dates is below or equal to 7 and above or equal to zero. Meaning that there is a week until the review is required. This code will fail if the review date is in the past, this can be changed to tell you that a review date has been exceeded.

Hi All,

I am new to VBA and although there are many links in the forum regarding the topics of using Excel to send Email reminders to Outlook, my requirement requires an additional option which i do not know how to program to make it work. I hope I can be assisted.

I am currently using Outlook & Excel 2010, Windows 7.

Using the attached test example, I have created a spreadsheet which is used daily. It requires a reminder email to be automatically sent out ONLY if the following is triggered.

Row H (Send Reminder) must show YES, then it will only send on the date shown on Row G (Due Date). However, if Row H shows NO, it will not send even though Row G has Due Dates.

The body of the reminder message would say:

Subject: Reminder

The project assigned to you under reference number, "cell D3" in the name of "from cell E3" for the confirmation date of "from cell N3" is now G3 - C3 days old.

If this has been completed, please ignore.

Hi Everyone!

I need your help in sending automated email and text message, when the due date of a PO is a week away from the current date. The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running without the excel file necessarily open.

In the attached excel file, An email should go of to -email address (Col. E), with subject "PO (Col. A) is due on Delivery date(Col. C)", and body "Vendor (Col. D), please update your project status".

Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder sent column (Col. G) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email.

I have scoured the forum for similar problems, and although I found most of threads using Outlook only (my default email is Mozilla thunderbird),I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

I'd really appreciate any help,

Thanks

Hi Everyone
I'm needing to automate a process that notifies a group of users to complete specific data on a shared Excel template file. The process is date driven. For example; row 1 has data due on 4/25/2017 by Bob Smith, while row 2 has similar data due on 4/29/2017 by Rose Hill, etc. We are in a Windows 7 environment, Outlook 365 mail clients and recently updated to Office 2016 from 2010.
Anyone have any ideas on how to best approach a solution for via Excel macros?

Hi, this is my first post here and I will preface this by saying I am not familiar with VBA/VBScript language at all (only that it exists and perplexes me), which is why I'm requesting your help!
I have an Excel spreadsheet that I'd like to have send me an Outlook email reminder 6 months after the specified start date, without having to open the Excel file so the macro can run. The reminder email can be simple, just a short message like "Referral Alert: Check Spreadsheet"

I've attached a test file with the columns needed highlighted in yellow.

If this is too tall of an order, I understand!

Answer:Send Outlook reminder on specified dates from Excel

As far as I know, this is impossible in the given scenario. Macros only run once a file is loaded; therefore, not having the file loaded means any code won't execute.

hello

i am new here i might stumble a bit, my apologies in advance. i am a Marine engineer by profession and now i have been helping out in the office since we don't have a Technical Manager, my computer software skills are also limited that is why i need help.

i have 45 crew reporting to me with all sorts of certificates with different expiry dates. i have managed to compile an excel spreadsheet with their names including certificates but since i am in between operations and the office i need excel reminders to my emails and to one nominated person at least 60 days before expiry to avoid catastrophic shipping delays while people are revalidating their certificates.

please find attached spreadsheet with names and relevant certificates (highlighted in green). your assistance will be forever appreciated. i will be glad if i can able to do it by myself so when changes are needed i can just execute them. thank you in advance.

Answer:excel spreadsheet with expiry dates auto reminders

I would not be able to code this, but a coder would have needs/questions:

1. A worksheet with Name and Email address. This is so that info does not need to be hard-written into the code.
2. When do you want it emailed? When you open the file? Automatically, even if you don't open the file? With a button click by you?
3. What version of Excel and Outlook are you using?

The goal is for the data to be entered into a few cells. Column H1 would ask to "send page". If 'Y' is put into the cell then an email automatically be with the data in this format:

type;location;street address;details;report #
The email pushes an alert to responders smart phones through an ap.

Thanks!

Hi,

I need to send an email notification(To Outlook Inbox) to specific users that, the excel/Access database has been updated and saved by an user with his name.

This notification should be sent everyday at a specific time.

Can anybody help me out in achieving this using macros or by any means.?

Thanks in advance!!!

Answer:Send email notification from Excel/Access Database to Outlook

Have you looked at the "sendObject" method?

DoCmd.SendObject , , , "YourEMAIL", , , "TEST"

Leave the Object name /format blank and you can send without attachement, you can do with a macro or VBA....this is from Access only, if you need Excel let me know, it is different.

Not clear on how you want to trigger, because essentially the UPDATE, should be the trigger, but you mention same time everyday...that may not be relevant because what ever action does the update maybe able to trigger the send.

I also use this to get around Outlook security...

Hi all i apologize for my not understandingof VBA and repeatedly asking for working code even tho it has been explained many times before.
It somehow just dont work for me when ever i try to edit a code i mess something and it doesn't work
I tried google doc. add reminder and its great help ,but unreliable somehow and most of all i dont like posting sensitive business info further more since i have a lot of new info added i have to constantly re-upload and reassign reminders.
My job is a middle man between two parties with whom i have to follow contracts on both sides
one is 35 days before second reminder should be 31 day before actual date .

So can someone please post me code where
1 first reminder is sent 35 days before due date based on value in column C
2 second reminder 31 days before due date(column D)

emails should be sent only to one email adres

subject should be reference number (column A) from the same row as date
and body should be entire row containing date in question.

i would much appreciate help with this
,losing track of a single contract is huge penalty and things just pile up

At home i use libre office and at work Microsoft latest office, so since im writing this from home file is saved as xls office 2003 i hope this doesn't make things more complicated.

Thank you all in advance for help

Hi,

Im quite new to this excel programming thing and could really do with some help.

I need to send an automated email to 3 recipients (always the same 3 email addresses) when a number (formatted from a countdown of days to go) is 10 or less. Also i need a different automated email to be sent when a date is manually entered into a different cell.

I have managed to get the current date and time on my spreadsheet and used the format to work out the days to go to the deadline.

I have looked over all different types of forums but unfortunately because i'm still very green when it comes to excel i get lost and confused when trying to do this.

Is there anyone out there who can treat me as an alien and help me through this step by step.???

Good Afternoon all,

The e-mail it needs to go to is in (A1)

You could turn off your email scanner.

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email:

Email scanners can be bypassed:

Hi lovely people!

I hope you can help me out - I'm new to macros. In regards to the attached excel file, I need to achieve 3 main goals:
Automated pop-up message - For each phone that is overdue for delivery (ie current date is more than due date), I need a pop-up message upon opening the excel sheet. The pop-up alert should say which phone is due (stock #), and how many days overdue it is (current date minus due date)
Automated email reminders - emails to send to various email accounts (individuals in my team) to remind them of overdue phones. The email should include details like the phone, stock #, supplier, due date and how many days overdue. I want the first email reminder to be sent on the due date itself, then 2nd reminder on the next day, and subsequent reminders every 3 days.
Have a separate sheet listing all the overdue items that need to be followed-up.

Lastly, but is it at all possible to create two versions of the same stock list? I.e. one sheet in English, and the other sheet in French. And any edits in either sheet will update the other version.

Cheers!

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Have you doen a search in this forum.
There are many posts that relate to triggering a mail message based on calculations and expiry dates, etc.
You will of course need to edit some solutions for your purpose, but I do suggest you take a look (search) and probably you'll find what you need.
The question about the two languages is custom macro coding and will take some time.
Your sample contains onle one row of data, but nothing more to go on.
Do some homework (searching the forum) and someone will be able to help
Please don't forget to mention the Excel version, as far as I cansee it's at least version 2007 but it could be 2010 or newer

Hello, I have been having trouble parsing out the code for an automatic notification system that will send out an email when a certification is about to expire. I keep getting error messages on one or two lines of code. I have attached the code that I have so far and a dummy spreadsheet of what I am trying to accomplish. The goal is to explore the automatic email notification option for the LEOSA Expiration date (column D), the Concealed Carry Permit Expiration (column G). For column ?D? and ?G ?, when an expiration is within 90 days the box turns yellow and sends a notification email. When the expiration is within 30 days it turns RED and an email notification is distributed. At each of these milestones (90 and 30 Day) the request is to determine if an ?auto send? type process can be utilized.

Hi guys,

I have read tons of pages from this forum hoping to create a killer excel workbook so my daily tasks can be completed way faster and more efficient, however I have hit a brick wall. That brick wall is called "How in (insert whichever holy character you want)'s name do I get Outlook to obey Excel".

My request is rather simple, yet I don't have the brains for it. Once a week, probably on Monday, based on the attached excel, I want to send specific e-mails to colleagues informing them which documents should they start writing based on the "Deadline to be filled" column and to also inform them what is going to happen based on the Column "When will it happen". if "col C" is between today() and today()+7, then e-mail must be displayed

After failing with 2000 and having lockups and crashes trying to open up outlook I got and installed Office 2007 thinking it would work better with Vista. I launched the new outlook and it automatically imported my settings from the previous version. Briefly I saw that it imported my folders and old emails, then it started hanging. My cursor rapidly blinks the arrow and twirling circle icon. If I try to move the window it says "not responding". When it did free up it popped up a window saying there were over 2000 reminders. I assume it's seeing all email as new and it thinks it has to remind me off all of them. I would tell it to ignore all of them and then it starts hanging again. I've tried turning off reminders in the advanced options of "other" options but when I relaunch outlook reminders are checked off again. I've tried launching in safe mode with "outlook /safe" and still ge the above problem. Once it finally stopped and I was able to download my email but I think reminders came up again and crashed my machine. It could have been another issue though. Now I've launched again and it's been hanging like this for over 10 minutes. What is it doing? Scanning my emails, something with reminders? Should I wait. Any help is appreciated. I simply cannot start over and loose my old email (.pst file). Is that... Read more

Answer:Email broke: Problem with Outlook '07 reminders, etc.

I would wait outlook 2007 is a bit notorious for not being able to handle large imports and then having to reorganize everything then having to try and import new mail so just let it do its thing and let it be and see what happens.

I want to have an email sent with the topic of the training and the name of the person. this is according to the date but since it has a lot of trainings and dates it works with columns instead of rows.

It has two due dates one for a yearly email reminder and one for every 3 years.

Greetings all,
I am a novice at best on using excel, but through some searching and experimentation I have managed to get to a roadblock I cannot pass. I am working on setting up a workbook that emails at specific dates for reminders to people in my department. I believed I had it working however I have run into two issues.
One is a run type error 13 that highlights toDate = Replace(Cells(i, 3), ".", "/") when I run the debug.

The second is that no matter what I try to do I continue to receive error messages. Can I ask that one of the very talented excel knowledgeable people here look to find where I am making my errors?
Thank you much in advance with any assistance you can provide which will stop me from pulling out my hair.

Hi, I have a risk register which has action by dates for owners of that particular risk. I would like to set up a VBA code that automatically sends each owner an email reminder, through outlook, 5 days before the action date. One owner may have multiple risks due on the same date so I would like the code to send 1 email detailing all the item numbers that the owner has to look at (however this is not at the top of my requirements if it causes issues). I would like the email to include the "Number" (Col. A) in the body listing which risks the owner should look at along with a message reminding them that the action by date is near. Also i want this to be automated, I want the code to run once and send emails as time goes on. Also i will need to change the action by dates as new information is available, can the code account for this change and send another email when the new action by date is near? Thanks for your help I really appreciate it. Using excel 2010

this started recently, I changed my password on my server hoping to fix this issue, and in Outlook and iPhones and iPads. Every thing works fine except desktop. I have sent an email from outlook.com and it receives just fine. The send and receive box runs through al the checks with no errors.
I can send from a Gmail address but not my regular yahoo account. I have checked everything I can think of but to no avail.
I started getting asked for a password every time I sent out an email, checked remember and then OK and everything would continue, but now I just get email stuck in the outbox.

Hello.

I am currently optimizing the workflow for the ventilation company i work for. (I am a young student worker). And one of my ideas is to synchronize dates of service that has been done to the customers ventilation systems (those dates are listed in Excel with all the other service data) with the offices Outlook Calendar.
Our clients sign up for yearly service for their ventilation service, however the service engineers are so busy that even though we have a service date (1 year from last service obviously) they might do the job 1 month later than expected. Therefor the dates in the calendar will not be up to date with the last service done.
The service engineers do a service report in Excel after finishing a job. Here they enter the date for when the work has been done. I want this cell where the date has been entered to synchronize with a Outlook Calendar appointment of this particular vent. service. Remember that there are many service reports in different Excel documents.
Is this possible? And how? If not, what if i made a new Excel document which automaticly updates the dates of all the other documents, and then made this document synchronize either automaticly or manually?
I have of course searched the web, and i found this thread which is very close to what i want: http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/541487-merge-excel-dates-into-outlook.html

The problem is; in that thread they talk about some code like everyone would know. Sadly I have no id... Read more

Hello There,

I have followed this thread to create a script in order to sent the dates from a excel sheet to Outlook.

Since on the excel file that I am saving the data will have many changes, I don't want each time all the instances to be copied to outlook. Because this ends up with many repeats of the same tasks.
For example I want the script to check if the data with this Subject is on my calendar and then to compare the date in order to change it or not.

And as secondary I want to join 2 cells as the subject.

This is the code that I use:
Code:
Sub ExportTasksToOutlook()
Dim olApp As Outlook.Application
Dim blnCreated As Boolean
Dim arrTasks() As Variant, i As Long
arrTasks = Range("A2", Cells(Rows.Count, "B").End(xlUp)).Value
On Error Resume Next
Set olApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application")
If olApp Is Nothing Then
Set olApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
blnCreated = True
Err.Clear
Else
blnCreated = False
End If
On Error GoTo 0
For i = LBound(arrTasks) To UBound(arrTasks)
With olApp.CreateItem(olTaskItem)
.DueDate = arrTasks(i, 1)
.Subject = arrTasks(i, 2)
.Body = "Created By Michalis Papadopoulos Excel Tool"
.ReminderSet = True
.ReminderTime = arrTasks(i, 1) - 3
.Save

Hello,
I am learner, who wants to automatize his repetition through combination of Excel and Outlook. I've read some posts on this forum and I see, that it is possible. However, I am totally lame in both Excel and Outlook and script writing. Yup, I am total tech noob.

I want it to look like this (behold, paint-edited picture):

I learn something, then I write down what I learned in excel spreadsheet ('WHAT?' in the spreadsheet) and give it a CODE, which would be shown in Outlook calendar. I write down the in which I learned and my outlook calendar syncs with every one of six repetitions.

I found some VBA (?) codes on this message board, but I have no idea how to implement them to my excel (and even less idea how to change the code). I would really appreciate if you would give me some hints or link (except for google.com ) where this process is described.

Here is link to my excel spreadsheet, if you want.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I am beginner in excel and have used it only for creating tables etc. but never used it details like using macros. I need your help in merging due dates frome excel 2003 to outlook. details are as under;

I have a worksheet with some internal office circulars / procedures record i.e. type of circular, date of issue, circular no., issuing department, issuing person and review date. I am responsible to inform the issuing department that a review date of the circular is just reaching preferrably 15 days before. This is a large database and this is one of my assignments. so I can't do it by checking excel sheet everyday. I want to auto update my outlook calendar from review date column less 15 days. Or can excel sen a message to outlook regarding this particularly without opening that excel sheet?

Answer:merging of due dates from excel 2003 to outlook calendar

You can't do anything unless Excel is running. The macro has to run from some app that is running.

Hi Folks,
I found the following thread:
http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/541487-merge-excel-dates-into-outlook.html

At best I am capable of copy pasting code - and I guess I'm slightly failing at that even.
I simply wish to be able to update an excel with dates of future tasks, in a particular column, and have these automatically appear as tasks on a particular date in calendar. Ideally column a (name of task) and column F (date in format 1.1.1.) would both be incorporated into the task, which would be allocated to date X in calendar.
I am using Outlook version 14.0.4734.1000

I have associated with Outlook 14.0 object library already. This is what i have so far (the first line is incorrect, presumably amongst others):
Code:

Sub ExportAppointmentsToOutlook(14.0)
Dim olApp As Outlook.Application
Dim olApt As AppointmentItem
Dim blnCreated As Boolean

'Read the table with appointments:
Dim arrAppt() As Variant, i As Long

On Error Resume Next
Set olApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application")

Hello,
I'm without any success hardly trying to modify (as begginer I'm still unable to create) some macro's I found in this forum in order to send data from Excel sheet into a specific public (or not if it's too heavy) calendar in Office 2010.
Import would take place with a push of a button and duplicates should not be allowed...

Even a simple line like: Dim olApp As Outlook.Application gives an error ...Maybe I'm getting tired...

And how should I modify those lines in order to select a specific Calendar (using Folder(Calendar name) in place of GetDefaultFolder in the lines mentioned here under?
Set olNS = OL.GetNamespace("MAPI")
Set olFolder = olNS.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar)

If someone would be kind enought to give me a help, here are some details about my Excel sheet:
Column A "Company", Column D "Date soon", Column G "Date Late"
Column A is fully completed, but columns D and G have some lines without any date...

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, so hopfully my question is easily answered. I've researched that I can use VBA code for the to solve my problem, but clearly have a lot to learn about VBA code and need a solution for my problem in the mean time.

I have attached the spreadsheet that I require help with.

I have an excel spreadsheet where I have drivers listed and number of days until their License & Registration expire (Columns F and H respectively). The drivers are identified by a driver number in column C.

What i'd like to do is have excel communicate with outlook and send me an appointment or email reminder when any driver is within 5 days of expiring. I also have other staff members that I would like the notification sent to also.

A question I have is: Will the reminders be sent automtically or will a macro need to be run? If it was to be done automatically, would it need to be upon opening the spreadsheet of would it just send the notification 5 days prior regardless.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer:VBA Code to notify me via outlook when excel dates are approaching expiry

I haven't taken a look at your sample file but this post has some code to create appointments in Outlook.
See if it can help you, you'll need to make changes.
And no, you will have to run the Excel file to trigger it.
Here's the link

I'll see if i can find the time to look at your sample, but I don't want to make it late today

G'day,

Looking for advice on what my problem could be. I'm running an older computer (can't afford new one just yet) and late last year I was given access to Office 2016, courtesy of my employer.

Since then, running three email accounts, thwo of them work well, both Bigpond.com accounts, the third seemingly freezes my computer with a busy I/O to the hard drive. With this I've even let it run overnight to see if it was just downloading excess emails from this account or some other data, still continues to sit with a busy I/O at the drive. During this time the computer is unuseable, mouse and keyboard won't respond, only way out is to hold the power button till it shuts down.

My system is running Win 10 with Office 2016 and the third party email account is hosted via irataweb.net.au, which via it's IT support I have been assured that it's running properly, even had that email account rebuilt to ensure the problem wasn't there.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea if this is even possible, but I would like to create a spreadsheet that auto-populates a series of dates based on one date that the user enters. Let's say I have a goal date to complete a project, and for every project I work on, something needs to happen 6 weeks prior to the goal date, another thing needs to happen 4 weeks prior to the goal date, and something else needs to happen 1 week and 5 days before the goal date. I would like to set up 4 cells in Excel: one for the goal date, and three for the various things that need to happen leading up to that goal date. I would like to be able to enter the goal date into the main cell and have the other three cells auto-populate with the correct date based on what I enter in the goal date. For example, if I enter a goal date of 11/01/2016, I would like the other three cells to automatically populate themselves with: 09/20/2016 (6 weeks prior), 10/04/2016 (4 weeks prior), and 10/20/2016 (1 week and 5 days prior). Is this possible? Can Excel return dates in that way?

Answer:How can I auto-populate dates in Excel based on other dates?

Sure, it's easy. Excel internally stores Dates and Times as numbers. Each day is a whole number and time is the decimal portion of that day. See here for a pretty good explanation of how Excel deals with Dates and Times as well as links to all the various Date and Time functions that Excel offers:http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datet...As for your question, simply subtract the number of Days required from the cell with the Goal Date. With 11/01/2016 in A1, use this to return 9/20/2016:=A1-42(42 is 6*7, or 6 weeks.)I'll leave the other two formulas to you. ;-)Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

I'm using an Excel worksheet (2007) that has macros to populate a form that I want to email to various people. I used to do it with no problem in the 2003 version, but now I get a message that says, "Unable to Sign - If using Microsoft Publisher or InfoPath Please resend as an attachment." This error message is in a dialog box that has the label, "Send as message not supported from Microsoft Publisher or InfoPath" I wasn't aware that I was using either of those applications, just Excel and Outlook. Hello,

We are getting ready to change internet service providers and we will be discontinuing an email address with which we have been receiving POP3 mail for many years. We are already using our new email address, which is a gmail address, with Outlook, and that is an IMAP account. At the moment, Outlook is checking both servers and we are dealing with two inboxes and two sets of folders, which is alright with me during this transition.

When we discontinue our internet service with our current provider, I want to discontinue having Outlook check the POP email address, but I want to keep the email that we currently have on the computer itself. I am fine with having the 2 accounts remain on the computer, I would be fine with minimizing the Inbox for the old address and delving into the folder tree if/when we need to. That is the only place where several years of emails reside (other than our backup).

My question is: when I go to the account settings and remove the email address account we won't be using anymore, will everything we have in that account's Inbox and associated subfolders remain, or will Outlook want to delete all of it? Sorry if that's a silly question, but I want to be sure I don't cause a disaster.

Thanks!

I recently upgraded to Win 10, also installed Office 2016 Pro Plus. My Brother all in one printer scanned to email easily on Win 7, no longer does, Brother could not figure it out. I tried sending to email from Word, get "mapi failure, unspecified error".
Hoping that if I can solve this, scan to email will also work.
I have researched this issue for many hours, can find no solutions that are not old ones, referring to files and directories that do not exist. Tried renaming mapi32.dll (after installing the "take ownership" app.), to no avail. It never gets reinstalled. Tried copying it from a newer laptop, still no joy.

Using Windows Live mail client, set as default in Windows 10.

Most of the posts I can find on the internet regarding the mapi failure are for older systems, this is very new Windows 10, and new Office 2016.

Very disappointed in Microsoft issuing new software that will not work together!

I would like to know if I could send an outlook email via command line while also attaching a file via command line. I am trying to have a Windows 2000 or 2003 server inititiate an email when it sees a certain text file arrive on the server. The email should run automatically with the file attached. I've found this attached link on how to do the command line: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/192341/en-us But no mention of attaching a file. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Hello,

First time post from me! So hi everyone.

Im a begginner at this so any help would be appreciated.

I have created a training matrix on Excel, and it obviously peoples training runs out regularly. Somehow i need to try and get an email sent to 4 different email addresses when somebodies training is a month before running out. Then, if its still not updated, another email to be sent out 2 weeks before the 'date expiry'.

I've tried messing about with Task schedular and have got an email to be sent out every Monday morning at 9am, to various email addresses. However, ideally i need something which would send an email alert as i explained. Ive tried with macros and visual basic codes, but its just a bit too much for me! haha

I understand there have been similar posts, and i have tried to adapt to them, but still doesnt seem to work out.

Any help whatsoever would be fantastic.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks
OW

Hi all,

I have an excel file from which I want notifications to be sent to a particular email address. I have seen several threads which are related to mine however I could not manage to do it. I am new to this stuff and need your help to explain the coding.

I have 2 columns (in red in the attached file) and I want a notification to be sent via outlook if the expiry is due within 2 months, 1 month and on the day as a reminder.

Another query I have is that this excel sheet will be used by multiple users. Will the notifications be sent each time a user will use this sheet?

Your help is much appeciated.

In the attached xls file, the user would have this file open and would populate all the fields that are marked "User". When a date is entered into Column C, the Status (Column D) changes to "Resolved" and Send Email? (Column D) changes to "Yes".

Here is where I get confused looking at some example vba to send a selection from the worksheet to a specified email address in the same worksheet.

I would like to send the following to the email address in that row:

"Your issue {row A#} regarding UWI {row G#} has come off confidential."

When the email is sent, the Email Status (Column F) changes to Sent. Only rows with a null email status will be processed. This will prevent multuple emails from being sent.

Hope this makes sense.

Mike

I am looking to write code that will send an out an email automatically if 2 conditions are met in excel. The first condition being, is this a repeat design "Y or N" and the second is the number of days shown in another column. The criteria is, if "Y & over 42 days then send email" or if "N and over 14 days then send email" otherwise do nothing.I have my repeat design in Col G & Number of days in Col K. I have been trying to adapt the code below that I found online earlier on. Unfortunately, it uses a limit instead of the IF function I would like. It is currently set to send out an email as soon as any number in Col K goes over a 200 day limit, that's the bit I would like to change.Private Sub Worksheet_Calculate() Dim FormulaRange As Range Dim NotSentMsg As String Dim MyMsg As String Dim SentMsg As String Dim MyLimit As Double NotSentMsg = "Not Sent" SentMsg = "Sent" 'Above the MyLimit value it will run the macro MyLimit = 200 'Set the range with Formulas that you want to check Set FormulaRange = Me.Range("K8:K100") On Error GoTo EndMacro: For Each FormulaCell In FormulaRange.Cells With FormulaCell If IsNumeric(.Value) = False Then MyMsg = "Not numeric" Else If .Value > MyLimit Then MyMsg = SentMsg If .Offset(0, 1).Value = NotSentMsg Then Call Mail_with_outlook2 End If Else ... Thank you for reposting the code with the pre tags. That really helps. As far as your example data, your column letters don't appear to line up correctly, but based on your earlier posts, I'll assume that Column K contains the 443, 18, etc.Another posting tip:Since we can't see your workbook from where we're sitting, telling us that the VBA code is "coming up with an error" doesn't give us a lot to work with. VBA can present all sorts of errors, including syntax errors, compile errors, run time errors, application errors and even the dreaded Fatal Error. (Ouch!)It would help us help you if you told us what the error says and, if possible, which instruction caused the error.Allow me to offer you this before I address your question:If you are going to be using VBA, either writing your own code or just trying to figure out how code that you find on the web works, it helps to have some debugging techniques in your toolbox. I suggest that you practice the techniques found in the following tutorial. Not only can these techniques help you find errors in your own code, but they can be used to reverse engineer code that you find elsewhere. I am essentially self taught in VBA and much of what I have learned came from my application of these debugging techniques on working code, which helps me understand how and why the code does what it does.https://www.computing.net/howtos/sh...OK, as for your current problem, let's take a look at what you said:"I cut and replaced "My Limit = 200" in m... Hi All,

Let me take the pleasure to introduce myself as Vasu, beginner in this forum.

I know that there are many on going threads related to my this new thread. But, actually I had gone through some of the posts (like Rollin, OBP, and Diego) as per my need and I did saw OBP used to share some links which already covers this my new thread, but since I am totally beginner to MS Excel, so I could not understand many of the things. So, with left chance I thought initiating the new thread, so that I can aware of step-by-step to "automatically send an email from excel on date basis". Hope you all fine with this.

So, here is what I need, I have a sheet (which contains columns Request No, Owner, Run Date, Due Date to Close Request). Usually sometimes we miss to close the requests as per the due dates.

So, could you please share detailed information on how can my excel automatically send an email whenever the "Run Date" crosses??

As per my understanding after reading the existing posts, I thought of giving you some sample data from my side. In my attached workbook, there are two sheets ("Request Tracker" and "Email"). "Request Tracker" sheet contains the base data on which "Email" sheet contains what I need in my email when excel send an email.

I would be more than happy to give you any additional information if required.

I use MS Outlook and MS Excel on Windows.

Thanks for your assistance and help to get my problem ... Read more

When I start in Word or Excel (office xp pro) and hit
file, send to, send as an attachment the word email
editor will pop up with the word document as an
attachment (as it should). I then put the address I want
to send it to and hit the send button. The send button
greys while the mouse button is pushed (as it should) but
the message stays there. It does not send. I can hit the
button 7 million times and the email and attachment just
sit there.

Does anyone have any idea what may cause this?

Side notes: It doesn't mater if outlook is open or closed same effect either way. I can send attachment directly from outlook.

Hi All,

I'm new here and searched for the above and couldn't find a related post so I'm posting a new one. I have an Executive Administrator(EA) who needs full access to many of the Executives Contacts and Calendar lists and even replies to emails on their behalf. For the above reasons she has those executive user accounts on her Outlook for Mac 2016 client.

If the EA was using Apple Mail she could have setup the Exchange accounts and uncheck the "Mail" option for those Executives that she doesn't need to support in this way(please see screenshot attachment). Is there a way to do this in Outlook for Mac 2016? I know we can use delegates but this makes setting up meetings for her EA's difficult (she can't drag and drop meetings around for example).

She also want's to suppress all those contact lists when she's composing an email from her Outlook Email composer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help but we are experiencing an issue on some PCs which use Office 2016. We have a third party CRM system we use and as part of this emails are launched in response to certain actions. All our PCs run Windows 7 and most have earlier versions of Office on. These all behave correctly and launch the emails. The small number of Office 2016 PCs did behave correctly until some point around Autumn last year when suddenly clicking to launch email started failing on one, with the CRM app crashing. Soon afterwards, two other Office 2016 PCs were reported as having the same issue. We had a lot on as the company was moving premises so we asked users to work around it. We've only just come out the end of all the move work so I'm picking it up again.

The CRM system was not changed at all and sending launching emails from it continues to work fine on PCs running any other version of Office.

Getting help from the CRM creators is not an option, for reasons I won't go into, so we're trying to pin down what changed in Autumn last year that broke this in Office 2016, so we can possibly fix it.

The obvious one to test was if any Office updates around then may have done it. I followed the procedure to roll back the version of Office to different points in time, eventually taking it right back to the release in February 2016, but none of these rollbacks stopped the issue happening.

Does anyone know if rolling back to earlier versions of ... Read more

My employee recently installed outlook 2016 on a computer with Office 2010. When I send her an email with an excel file attached (.xls), it will only open in Adobe. When she attempts to save the file it only allows her to save as Adobe (PDF) or as "all files". If she selects all files, it sends her to the internet to find the application that will allow her to open it. Anyone else having that issue?

I have another employee (also has Outlook 2016 with Office 2010) that was sent an a fillable PDF document that she is unable to open even when she right clicks on the attachment.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

When I installed Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 PC, it automatically downloaded all of my mail history from Google mail.  Now I want to delete some of those emails in batches.  I would like to do a search for a keyword in the spam, such as "sweepstakes" and then click a "Delete All" button, or something like that.  How do I do that?

Answer:Outlook 2016 function to delete email in batches.

Best that I can suggest is do the search. In the result search window, if you want to delete them all, then single left-click on the first item in the list to highlight it, then scroll to the bottom of the list, and then single left-click on the last item while holding down the Shift key. This should now result in highlighting all emails in the list. Then hit the delete key or the trash icon (if there is one...I would assume there is, but I am not using Outlook 2016 at the moment and don't even have a Windows computer running an older version of Outlook fired up right now...using a Mac at the moment).

Hi - I'm trying to set up my addresses in Outlook, having previously used WLM but although I have been able to do it in the past, I had to delete them and start again. This is the message I'm now getting. I tried online chat with Plusnet, but the person kept telling me to 1) remove my email address and then 2) send myself an email from Outlook. She then said it was an Outlook problem - any ideas, please?

Answer:Problem setting up email address in Outlook 2016

Did that error appear when Outlook was testing the mail account settings? If it did then I'm not overly concerned. What happens if you ignore that and try to send a regular email? If it fails with a different error then post it here.
