Preferred Solution: Need ACPI\Hpq4000 driver for 600-1120

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,

I have been searching several websites, downloaded a lot of junk and tested a great many so called solutions. In spite of all efforts I could not find a working solution for the LBP-1120 on W7 x64.
Although I guess most LBP-1120 users got tired of searching and simlpy threw away their printer, I refuse to do that. So I'm running it on Virtual PC under W7 x64, a complicated afair if one has to print just a few copies. The latest thread on this (and most other forums) is of 2009, so did anything happen after that date?
Does any one know of a working (tested!)driver solution for this printer? It's a shame that Cannon did not provide a decent driver. The vista / W7 x64 does not run on x64 platforms in any mode! Even for old Epsons I was able to find W7 x64 drivers.

Kind regards,
Dave

Answer:Driver for Canon LBP-1120 Lasershot on W7 x64

First, make sure you uninstall any previously installed printer drivers in add/ remove programs which may conflict with the installation.

Check Device Manager for driver issues.

Select the newest version from the list. Then click download.

Do not turn on the printer until the software is installed.

I recently updated to the Windwos 10 Fall Creators update (Build 1709, 16299.125), and as soon as I updated, the graphics driver failed and switched to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I tried updating and rolling back the driver without success. My driver right now is at the latest version (10.18.10.4358). I already tried fixing this issue with Microsoft support but they couldn't find any solutions. Microsoft Support Link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/intel-hd-graphics-not-working-...

I found a program on SourceForge that supposed to find drivers that are not installed on the computer. I have a device that is labelled as unknown so I used this free software to figure it out. Apparently it requires an ACPI driver? What is it and what does it do?

Answer:What is ACPI driver?

What is the make and model# of your computer?
If your computer uses a UEFI Bios, then you may need the ACPI Driver http://www.acpi.info/
Go to the computer/motherboard manufacturers support/download drivers site, type in your model# and choose your version of Windows 10 (ie) 32bit or 64bit and download the ACPI driver for your model.

Question: ACPI driver

I installed windows 8 dev privew on my netbook (Asus EEEPC 1001PX)
After installing keyboard filter and hotkey service in order to use Fn hotkeys(both from Asus), an error message that sayid "missing ACPI driver" kept popping out evertytime a key was pressed. So I tried installing the latest version of ACPI driver from Asus's website hoping it would fix the problem. However during the last step of installation, it would fail and rollback the installation. I have also tried a few different versions of the driver as well as running them under compatibility mode. Unfortunately none of them worked. Any suggestion?

Hello, I've recently decided to go with Volume Licensing, so that we can deploy customized, fresh images of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, without any of the pre-installed OEM software utiltities. We decided to go with Lenovo ThnkCentre M93p's -- which came preloaded with Windows 7 Pro downgrades.. I've been trying to get everything sorted out with the drivers for this machine, and I've just about gotten everything sorted out now, except for these Lenovo ACPI drivers. I have an 'unknwon device' showing up in Device Manager, and the Hardware ID is: ACPI\LEN4001 - I can't seem to find any good drivers for this... Windows is up-to-date by the way, also.. I did find an older post in the community, from 2013, but the links were dead.. 'Page Not Found' ... I've tried 3 different drivers so far, to the point where I will probably have to redo the machine again now.. None of them have worked. I tried installing them using the Setup wizard, using Windows Driver Update 'Have Disk' etc., and stil no dice.. can anyone PLEASE help me? Thanks

Hi urbanra5cal, Welcome to the Forum.

You do not have all of your device drivers installed,

You need to visit the Lenovo site and download the necessary drivers for your model, (if you do not know which ones then install all drivers that you do not understand) alternatively if you have a device driver cd you can use that

I hope this helps

Hello everyone, I am back again. Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. ASUS A85XM-A Motherboard.
AMD A4-5300 dual core processor. AMD Display Adapter 7480D. I posted a few weeks ago about the

How to find the correct ACPI Driver from ASUS, as the Microsoft driver is starting to cause boot up errors,
and it does say in event log 6.1.7600.16385. I cannot remember what ACPI Driver I had before. Under
system info it says SYSTEM MANUFACTURER - SYSTEM MANUFACTURER. I have looked on ASUS sites,
and do not really know what I am looking for.

Answer:Need ACPI driver for my Satellite P205D

Hi there,

that "ACPI" device is actually not an acpi device. It could be the HDD protection or the Card reader, since the ACPI stuff was installed during installation of the system and your machine wouldn?t boot up if no ACPI drivers were installed.

Did you really installed all drivers?? Please check this and make sure everything was downloaded and installed.

Hi

I hate reinsalling notebooks, when there is no recovery media :-(
So i hopw someone can tell me the following, this is my first Toshiba in many years.

I would like to install the computer for him with with an windows xp Pro sp2, but when installing it asks for the HAL (ACPI) driver, is there a special one for this model or what schould i select in the list?

When i install with an standard ACPI driver, and install drivers for Tectra A2, most of the computer works, but when i restart, windows gives me an recovery bootmenu, is there anyway to get rid of this?

I have installed latest bios, and and and, but now i need some help.

Thanks on advance :-)

Answer:Tecra A2 ask for HAL (ACPI) driver while XP insatallation

Hi

Maybe firstly something about HAL if someone doesn?t know what Hal is:
Well, I found this:
?Microsoft supplies the ACPI driver as part of the operating system. On systems that have an ACPI BIOS, the HAL causes the ACPI driver to be loaded during system start-up at the base of the device tree, where the driver acts as the interface between the operating system and the BIOS.?

As far as I know the Recovery CD contains the Windows XP SP1a.
I have visited the Toshiba driver page and found that there are several drivers which are needed to install the OS.
Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V5.0.2.1002
Intel mobile processor driver Q332179
Hotfix for sysprep.exe Q824672
Hotfix for "Application compatibility issues of Windows XP SP1" Q329623
Hotfix for "WindowsXP USB2.0 Driver" KB822603

And so on?

I think you should crate a own booting Win CD using the nLite and chipset and all this hotfixes from the Toshiba page should be integrated.
But the simplest way to install the OS is the recovery CD. You could order it from the ASP in your country

Try enabling the MS driver you disabled. You shouldn't turn it off. You are likely running non ACPI mode and getting it back may be a problem now. If you have a restore point from before it was disabled it would be you best approach and then try to update that with the Lenovo driver.

At the moment there is no help. I will tell you why. To solve this problem you need to install the "Password Utility" or the "Supervisor Password Utility". This issue is described on follow document http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB7501W20006R01.htm Document descriebe case with Vista but I presume the same is with WXP.

So problem is that for this newest A200 there are no WXP utilities. At the moment A200 is not WXP supported.

When we get busy the employees don't have enough time to ring up everyone in a timely manor and we are losing customers due to the high wait times.  Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Due to the POS vendor's requirements we had to install Windows 7 Pro SP1 on all of them so I created a Win7Pro image that I used on all the machines.  I've cleaned the monitors per the DUST CLEAN NOTICE - LENOVO C440 TOUCH, C540 TOUCH document and that had no effect.  I have one that the monitor is going out already and need to get it replaced already.  They all worked perfectly when they were installed in Feburary of this year.

Any assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated and they are all still under warrenty however I cannot be without a POS terminal for weeks if they require off-site repairs.  If they require off-site repair for more than a couple of days it will put me in the hole even more than I already am after the issues I am already dealing with.

Good morning all,      I've spent the last few days slamming my head into a wall over this so if my reply's are short I appologize. The Issue:      After doing a full system wipe and a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit I have installed all drivers available for my model.  Afterwards there is one device labelled as an unknown device in device manager.  Review of the driver_ID shows it to be a ACPI/VPC2004.  After doing a lot of research this was an issue a long time ago with Lenovo's and was rectified using the Power Management Software.  The problem is that support.lenovo.com does not show any power manager software for my model.  I have tried the Think Vantage Power Manager, the older one's from the issues from the previous generations and I even used Windows Fix It which recommended a version for me.  All of these did not resolve this missing driver error.  If anyone has experienced this or can shed some light it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Just installed Win 7 RTM 64bit on my Toshiba x205-9359 laptop.

It's working and found almost all the hardware except one:

When I go to Printers & Devices, I get an "!" mark next to the computer icon. It says unknown device

ACPI\CPL0001\2&DABA3FF&1

Where can I get a driver for this device? I tried reinstalling the Intel Drivers but that didn't work.

hi
I have an old A30 that I have just installed Win7 on. Everything is fine apart from a missing driver - Unknown device ACPI

In Device manager the Hardware ID is ACPI\CMP0101

now this laptop's fan comes on quite a lot and it does have a random problem of it shutting down for no reason. I have checked the fans and they are clear. I believe the shutdowns may be related to this missing driver as it may control the temp/fans which stop it overheating, then again I may be wrong..

I would be grateful of any help and advice

many thanks in advance

Hi guys, Ran into a small problem while building up a Windows 8.1 image for this M92p I have. There is a device that is not installed : Unknow device - ACPI\LBA0001 I found the driver for it. When I auto install it from the exe it works fine. The problem is that I need to install it manually by pointing the installation in the extracted folder of the exe (.inf files...). When I do so, I get a message saying Windows found a driver for the device but an error occured. Lenovo application interface. File does not exist. Any clue to help me solve this problem? Best regards

To run a certain software on my laptop (Vista 32 bit) I had to update my computer driver manually from what I think was "ACPI X86 Based PC" to just simply an ACPI PC. When I was finished I tried to revert back to my old computer driver, but it did no appear under the list of implemented drivers for my computer.

Since I am pretty much computer illiterate, I have no idea what the difference is between my old driver and my current one (ACPI). However I have noticed that some games and applications run somewhat slower.

It would be great if you guys could help me out by telling me if the current driver is fine, or if there's a better one available that would make things run a lot smoother.

Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow forum members,
im having a problem with my asus eee pc 1201n with a running wind7 x32 bit.
I had to reinstall it due some technical issues and the most things run pretty smoothly.
The only problem Im having is, I can use my fn keys to change volume and stuff. So I searched for the driver I needed and tried to install it, but I failed.
It cant complete :-(
I tried it with admin modus, other windows version but it just wont work.
I hope you can help me to find a solution.
Best regards,

Answer:ACPI Driver for Win7 x32 isnt working at all

IIRC it's in a program called "Hotkey service" or "Hotkey Utility". Before you install the new one you're supposed to uninstall the old driver (or so I've heard)

Furthermore, I cannot charge my laptop, it only works while the power supply is connected. I do not want to go back to Windows 10 so please don't tell me I've wasted a big amount of money on a laptop I can't use.  Please help,Dennis

I recently purchased this second-hand Dell laptop. I was told it was upgraded from windows 8 to windows 10, and so far everything's worked fine! But while checking the device manager, I noticed it has this unknown driver installed and I haven't been able to figure out what it is or get it fixed.
Here's a screenshot:

Does anyone know where can I download this specific driver? I tried Dell's auto-detect-tool but it didn't work/ detect this one driver.
Thanks in advance!

Answer:Unknown Driver ACPI VEN_SMB&DEV_0001

This is likely for the SMBus and is either included in the chip set driver or possibly the GPU driver for the model of your notebook.  Please reply with the model of the notebook and the version of Windows installed and I will be happy to look for specific drivers.

Answer:acpi pnpa000 4&5d18f2df&0 driver download

This driver, and the one in your other post are almost certainly part of the chipset driver for your motherboard - this is the one that should be installed before any others. If your computer is a branded one then try the manufacturer's website. If it's a self-build or bespoke one then you need the manufacturer of your motherboard & try their website. If this is an older system that you have just upgraded to Windows 7 did you run the upgrade advisor beforehand to check if all drivers were compatible with Win7?"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." So I checked my downloads on the Lenovo Support site and there was a new ACPI driver, when I clicked it it just closed imediatly. No install program started or anything. It was only 1mb, but I cant really find a place to check if its the new version. The Lenovo ACPI I found in Device Manager is not whats listed on the file version on the site.
Im also having issues installing the graphics driver, Windows keeps saying its not compatible with my system even though it should be according to Lenovo's Flex2-15 page. Its older than the default Windows 10 though. Do I need to uninstall first?
Thanks for any help.

I download the :Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface (ACPI) Driver, from the Lenovo website: The link for the driver ( for Lenovo y700-15ISK) :

I download, give permission to run, then nothing happens; no installation wizard, nothing. This is the only driver I haven't been able to update, and it is the one that is causing me serious problems with audio latency, as Latencymon v 6.50 tells me. I get crackling sound from speakers, but when I disable the ACPI driver, the crackling goes away. The problem is that if I disable the ACPI driver, I am no longer able to see my battery status. So it is important that I update this driver. However, I don't know how it is possible that the driver provided by Lenovo does absolutely nothing at all.

Mod Edit: Corrected the text format so message displayed correctly

Answer:Lenovo y700 ACPI Driver, not installing

The fix for this is to go to safe mode (on windows 10) : Settings-> Update & Security-> Recovery : press restart now -> After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options >Startup Settings > Restart-> After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode. then in safe mode go to device manager ->System devices  right click on Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller  -> Uninstall  Double click on the ACPI Driver you downloaded. this should fix the problem.

Answer:Re: Toshiba Satellite L655-1gf ACPI driver

You need to install all the L655 drivers from the Toshiba website to resolve the unresolved devices. The Intel Chipset and Value Added Package are the most important.

It may be easier just to run Recovery to install the factory image. Everything is already installed including various hotfixes, and you can simply uninstall anything you don't want such as the Antivirus.

Hi All, I've tried to downgrade my laptop to Windows 7 x64 but have found that there aren't specific Windows 7 drivers for this laptop on the Lenovo Website However, everything works well as most of the drivers are Windows 7 & 10 compatible ... except 1 key one the ACPI driver that is Windows 10 only ... unfortunately this means I can't adjust any power options including the screen brightness ... so i was wondering has nayone else had any luck in installing Windows 7 on one of these or similar laptops ... or can someone point me to a compatible ACPI driver? Thanks, Luke

Answer:Ideapad 300-17ISK - Windows 7 x64 (ACPI Driver)

I think the "Lenovo PM Device" might be available through windows update, but I'm not sure if it only works on Thinkpads. I have not gone through installing Windows 7 x64 on my Ideapad 300 yet, but I plan to and have considered drivers from the G70 Z710 & Z70, I think there are similarities, but they are different chipsets so Windows Update is probably a better option for ACPI If Windows Update doesn't list under "Optional" it can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=lenovo%20pm%20device%20acpi%20windows%207This link probably will only work in Internet Explorer (it requires an ActiveX control). An option is to use the "Windows Mobility Center" to control screen brightness >>Programs>>Accessories>>Windows Mobility Center

Hello,I have just completed a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on my T450s.I ran into one slight problem---there seems to be a missing driver somewhere.  There is a device in the Device Manager with a hardware ID of ACPI\INT340F\2&DABA3FF&2.Whree can I find the driver for this?  I dont' seem to be able to locate it on the driver download site for the T450s for Win 8.1/64-bit installs. Also, what's with the verkakte TouchPoint driver?  I installed one from the X250 in lieu of the T450s one just to get a reasonably smooth middle button scroll when using the TouchPoint. ---Mark

Have the Toshiba Satelite Pro A40 .
The drop down selection options do not allow one to specify this model.
It is further complicated by the upgrade of this machine to Windows Vista Ultimate.
Looking for the correct BIOS, ACPI, Video drivers.

Guidance sought.

Answer:Satelite Pro A40 - Need Vista driver, BIOS, ACPI, etc..

Hi

This is a Satellite Pro A40 and this notebook series doesn?t support Vista. It?s too old series.

Other drivers for W2k and Win XP can be found on the Toshiba European driver page in ARCHIVE area.

You could find it in *Archive* -> Satellite Pro -> Satellite Pro A -> Satellite Pro A40

Bye

My system was upgraded to windows 10 but froze when I installed a corrupt update from Microsoft so I have reinstalled windows 8.1. All of my drivers are current exept one... located under "Other Devices/ Unknown device". The "Hardware ID" value is ACPI\VEN_SMO&DEV_8820 (located on PCI Express Root Complex). I have found a few sources online that profess to have the needed driver (DriverPack Solutions) but i want to be sure to get this needed driver from a reliable source. Can anyone help? Thanks
