Why is OneDrive on my laptop showing as not signed in when I am signed in on all other devices?

Question: Why is OneDrive on my laptop showing as not signed in when I am signed in on all other devices?

OneDrive on my laptop is showing that I am not signed in. I have verified that I am signed into my Microsoft account, and I can access OneDrive online and on my phone.

Preferred Solution: Why is OneDrive on my laptop showing as not signed in when I am signed in on all other devices?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Why is OneDrive on my laptop showing as not signed in when I am signed in on all other devices?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you might have to sign in separately on your laptop for it.

When I sign on my Windows 7 Pro laptop to the 5G channel of my Netgear R7000 router my cabled desktop PC can access its files. But not when I switch the laptop to the 2.5G channel. The laptop can access the internet through either channel.

Why the difference and how can I fix it?

Answer:I can share laptop's files when it's signed on 5G, not 2.5G channel.

Check the drivers Advanced option settings on your PC and laptop.
Depending on the driver some can use both, (2.4 & 5) others cant.

Question: keep me signed in

Once you have ticked the box to keep you signed in is there a way to untick it?

Answer:keep me signed in

If I recall rightly, when you sign in, you also have the option to tick or un-tick the box.
You will need to log/sign out first, then log/sign back in at a later time, to alter the set-up.

I'm kinda confused and frankly a bit sick to my stomach.

i have been hacked in the past so i'm kinda sceptic about all kinds of stuff right now.
i scanned and cleaned both my computer and my laptop with MBAM and changed my passwords
all was fine untill just an half an hour ago my MSN gave me the popup saying i was signed out because the other messenger i was signed in at did not allow for multiple locations.
as far as i know i am spyware, adware, malware and virus free but i'm getting kinda paranoid here...
i signed back in and it hasn't happened again yet.

am i being hacked or what? i'm confused and paranoid at this stage.

both my PC and Laptop have Windows 7 and as far as i know 7 doesnt have a windows messenger so that is out of the question.

if any more info is needed, ask please. i will be checking back on this post from time to time.

Answer:MSN and getting signed out.

If you're not having further issues, sounds like it might just have been a glitch when logging in and out. However, to put your mind at ease, you can always get a second opinion by performing an Online Virus Scan:Eset Online Anti-virus ScannerF-Secure Online ScannerWindows Live OneCare safety scanBitDefender Online Scan-- F-Secure requires free Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to be installed before scanning for malware.-- If given the option, choose "Quarantine" or "Cure" instead of Delete.

It's that same annoying people app that I am having issues with on my phone, but on my laptop.

ASUS Book Flip TP200 running the most recent Windows ten build.

I'll just post the screenshot of what has happened.

How can I fix this? I don't know how it got signed in twice.

Answer:Can you be signed into an app twice?

Hello @Johninadelaide6,

Yes, you sure can sign in to an app with more than one Microsoft account (MSA).

You should be able to click/tap on the MSA you don't want, and click/tap on the "Delete account" option to remove it.

But once a week I usually have to restart it because Cortana, Xbox app, Groove and basically anything that uses my account will sign out and can't sign back in. No other device I have does this so I don't think it's the account. Anyone know the problem or a fix?

What you had contracted with your ISP for a specific speed down/up, are you getting it? Are you satisfied? When you are suppose to be receiving up to 6 Mbps, and they are not meeting contractual accord, and not very cooperative, how can one remedy the problem? Thank you for everyone's support. MGBY.

Answer:Are You Getting The Speed You Had Signed Up For?

Get another ISP.

You might tell them this is what you plan on doing and ask how's about them lowering the monthly fees a little.

It would be frivolous to get an attorney IMHO. There probably wouldn't be enough money involved to attract one.

Hello,I'm trying to write a program that can be run as an administrator but without the UAC prompt popping up. I'm thinking that creating a signed certificate to go with it is the answer. But I'm not sure how to do this. Here's what I've done:1) In the VS2012 properties, went to Signing and created a pfx file. I entered a password and used the sha256RSA signature algorithm.2) Right-clicked on the pfx file, clicked "install pfx", and went through the wizard.3) Recompiled my application.4) Right-clicked on the exe, went to compatibility, and checked "run this program as an administrator".5) Ran the exe by double-clicking on it.The UAC still comes up and the publisher still displays as "unknown".Am I doing anything wrong? Is there a different way of accomplishing what I want to do?

Answer:Can't get by UAC even with signed certificate

Set your UAC to the appropriate level in Control Panel > User Accounts. You may even have to set it to "Never Notify" (slider right down to the bottom) even though Microsoft do not recommend it. That's where I have mine set, but I do have a third-party, commercial firewall installed to compensate for UAC notifications being disabled.I wouldn't recommend you set UAC to "Never Notify" without a good third-party firewall installed though.

I'm looking at my DirectX Diagnostic tool and it says for a few things
"The file ati2dvag.dll is not digitally signed" under Video, and "The file RtkHDAud.sys is not digitally signed" under sound 1 and 2. is this a serious problem? it might help solve why I've had a few crashes when playing games maybe? Answer:Not Digitally signed?

I know very little about this kind of stuff but I think it just means it's a driver that hasn't been registered with Microsoft, or something along those lines. I don't believe it affects the operation of the thing.

I've been using Firefox as my browser for three years, and My Yahoo has always been my homepage. Just recently, Firefox had an update so I of course installed it. Now, whenever I start up Firefox, I'm not signed into my Yahoo account, no matter how many times I click the "Keep me signed in" checkbox. This has never been an issue before. And because of this, I cannot access my bookmarks from the Yahoo toolbar--it comes up with something that tells me to sign in (even if I already am signed in), and when I do, nothing changed--going to Bookmarks button does the same thing. I even tried removing and then redownloading Firefox and am getting the same results. I am almost about to go to Chrome instead (doesn't give me this problem) but I don't want to lose all my bookmarks. WHAT DO I DO--THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help please, I have suddenly lost the facility to remain signed in on ebay. I suspect the problem is not directly to do with ebay rather than Windows.
In ebay preferences there is definitely a tick in the "remain signed in box"

But definitely I leave ebay even for a couple of minutes I have to go through the whole sign in procedure again. It used to work fine, cant think of anything thats changed.

I have found that if you install unsigned drivers it affects a dial up connection and microsoft email programs.
If i restore to an earlier restore point it fixes the dial problem but it will not allow me to send email attachments (files) i can send plain text. Does anyone no if there is a way of resetting win xp from this as restore does not fix it the only way i found to fix it is to reload win XP but this is time consuming as i have to backup the whole computer.

I signed up for Flipboard and got the confirmation to my inbox. I clicked on the Open Flipboard and when I put in my userid and password, it did not like it. I then went to Forgot Userid and Password and put in my e-mail address (the same one that it sent the confirmation to) and it tells me "Invalid request". SO I went back to Flipboard and tried to create my account again but it now tells me that there is an account out there with my email address.

How do I get into Flipboard without wasting anther email address?

Never mind. I starting entering my usual passwords and it took one so I guess I used the wrong password. That still does not explain the Invalid Request when I was trying to recover my userid and password.

Also, is there a way to delete a thread before it has been responded to?

Hi. I am installing a Windows 7 64 bit OS on a refurbished HP Pavilion p6331p AMD Athlon II x4 with a wiped hard drive. The hardrive is a Seagate 750 GB Barracuda.

I have a no signed drivers message. After researching the problem, I downloaded the HP and AMD drivers to a USB stick but none are recognized. The Windows 7 disk is from OEM from Amazon. I've tried all combinations in the BIOS (IDE RAID AHCI). Nothing is working so I'm not sure where to go from here.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Answer:No signed drivers message

Hello oldsgold, welcome to Seven Forums!

When you say "a wiped hard drive" what method did you use to wipe it?

If you didn't use the clean all method listed in Option One of this tutorial at the link below, boot the Windows 7 DVD to diskpart and give it a go, it'll take close to 3 hours to complete.

Then use the outline in Option Two #2 of the same tutorial to create and activate a single 100GB partition to do the installation to; try AHCI first then IDE if necessary.

SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

DISKPART : At PC Startup

You shouldn't need to add any drivers at all as Windows 7 is all most driver complete and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Hi Guys, I did a search of my OS, and found some Drivers not digitally signed. Is that a problem,as my PC is functioning OK.Thanks for any advice.

Answer:Digitally Signed Drivers.

Hi D,
Your ok for the most part. A driver that lacks a valid digital signature, or that was altered after it was signed, can't be installed on x64-based versions of Windows. As a result, you will see this message ( Windows cannot install this driver ) if you are running an x64-based version of Windows.

The only other time (I think) may be if you updat a driver. again you may get that can't install it error. You can visit the device manufacturer's support website to obtain a digitally signed driver for your device.

I recently experienced a problem with GMX.com that they have been unable to answer.
Suddenly I got blocked out of signing in, even though my default setting was to stay signed in. (My email address is "[email protected]"
I then went to gmx.co.uk and was able to sign in and remain signed in without any problem!
I am now scared to log out of gmx.co.uk in case I get blocked and am unable to sign in again.
Does anyone have an opinion about whether I will get blocked?
I should add that I appear to have been blocked from gmx.com simply due to uninstalling Firefox 13 - without saving passwords etc - and doing a clean reinstall.
Many thanks in advance.

Answer:remaining signed in to GMX e-mail

If you are in UK shouldn't you be signing in with GMX.co.uk anyway? I can't see any reason why you should have been blocked simply because you uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox but I could be wrong. I use Firefox 13 and GMX but log-in using co.uk - if I were to use GMX.com it defaults to co.uk anyway.
You may find that things have returned to how they were - but there is only one way to find out!

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to change the color scheme (interface color) of outlook 2010 but I notice that the colors list is very limited (3 colors only) and the most striking is that the new color I chose will be also applied on all other office programs (word, powerpoint, excel...)! What a ridiculous idea behind this?
I'm can't believe that MS's developers could be "so stupid" to not let the user chose another color imposed by MS and not be able to apply it only on the program we want!
I wish to have different interface colors for my different office programs (each program with its own specific color), why I can't to customize it?
Is there any way to do so or is this part of the chronic symptoms of MS's skills?

When I start my laptop, I get to the screen where I can select a profile to begin with, but when I select my profile, Windows tries to start and then automatically logs me off and I end up back at the profile selection screen. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I've tried starting in safe mode, but I get to the same spot every time. Thanks in advance for anyone that might have suggestions.

Doug

Answer:XP sign on/automatically signed off

I suggest you try Safe Mode again but this time as Administrator then go Start>Control Panel>User Accounts and either delete your own account or at least change the password. Reboot in Normal mode and re-post if this doesn't change the situation.

Can anyone tell me the best way to scan signed documents into a PDF? I don't have Adobe Acrobat, so what I have been doing is scanning the documents into a photo editing program - which makes them much too big - and then copy and paste into Microsoft Word, after reducing all the margins to zero. Then, in MS Word I save as PDF. But depending on the photo program and version of MS Word I'm using, everything doesn't always go smoothly. I would buy Acrobat if necessary, but I thought I would check here first. I'm sure somebody has come up with a great system! Thanks

Answer:Scanning Signed Documents

Doesn't your scanner come with software that allows you to save as jpg, pdf or email what is scanned?

hey I recently just got a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 and they came with the 30.82 drivers. I went to NVIDIA 's site , and I downloaded the WHQL certified version of the detonator 40 drivers, version 40.72. Now when I installed the 40.72 , it said the drivers were not WHQL and they have not passed testing. In DIRECT X it said the drivers were not signed. When I used the 40.72 with my GeForce 3 they said they were signed. Anybody know why this is? thanks!!!!

Answer:GeForce 4 Detonators signed?

Typically, nVidia posts the drivers while they wait for certification, so its not unusual to download drivers that are not certified and even rarer to have any problems. You will be fine.

Our Nessus vulnerability scanner has been flagging our computers with the following vulnerability: SSL Certificate Signed Using Weak Hashing Algorithm

Basically what it's telling us is that we need to upgrade the local Remote Desktop Certificate from SHA1 to SHA2.

These certificates are self-signed and self-generated by the local machine. If you look at the certificate you'll see that theIssued to: and Issued by: fields show the name of the local machine.

The question is: how do these auto-generated, self-signed certificates, which are currently SHA1, get upgraded to SHA2? Remember, these are not created by the local Enterprise CA, they're auto-generated by the local machine itself for Microsoft-branded software such as AD and RDC.

Looking for ideas/suggestions on how to do this.

I have my name written by my own fair hand saved as a macro for word documents and thought it would be nice to have it as my signature in outlook express but cannot work out how to insert it (xcuse the terminology there..) I have Windows 2000 Pro. Word 2000 and OE 6. Is it possible?

Answer:How to insert signed name as OE signature

The only way I know, though there will be simpler way that I don't know, is1/scan in the signature and save the image as bmp., jpeg etc2/ open the image in Word and save as an HTML document.3/Open OEOn the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Signatures tab. To create a signature, click New and then either enter text in the Edit Signature box or click File, and then find the text or HTML file you'd like to use. (The one you have just saved)Select the Add signatures to all outgoing messages check box.

I have written some VB code in Microsoft Word 2003 to make some day-to-day tasks quicker, and attached a self-signed certificate to allow me to bypass the Macro Security warning box.

I have now placed the Word template in a network location (on a domain, not a workgroup), so that colleagues can use it also. They are unable to trust the self-signed certificate (the tick-box is greyed out), and they have to click "Enable Macros" every time they open it.

Is there any way to allow them to bypass this security warning box, without setting their macro security level to low?

Thanks

Answer:Solved: Signed in on another computer

Hi
Do this:
go to http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.....
Unzip it to its own folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show other issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

If you have anything disabled by MSConfig or any other startup manager, please re-enable it before scanning to post.

Answer:driver is not digitally signed

"Not digitally signed" means Microsoft have not tested this driver and verified it to be compatible with Win XP.  This does not mean it will not work, you should click on the "continue anyway" to install your print driver.  If this is a concern you should check the HP web site for newer driver tested by MS.Kim

I need to be able to check the digital signature of a .cab file signed using signtool.
My technique is to open the file using CryptQueryObject and use the various crypto apis to fish out the file hash from the SPC_INDIRECT_DATA structure. so far so good, but when I try and compute the hash of the .cab file in order to compare the 2 hashes to determine if the file has been tampered with, the 2 hashes don't agree. I must say I have not tampered with the file. My question is which fields of the .cab file do I need to include in the hash, or can someone point me to a place where I can find that information. I already have a document from msdn about authenticode signing of p.e. files.

Hello. I'm a new member here. I found this site while searching for help.

I have a friend's Toshiba Satellite L70D-A that will not log on to the owner's account. Windows 8.1. Also there is no Wifi. Pop-up says that Windows Wifi is not turned on or a cable is unplugged or broken. I got around this by plugging in a cat5 cable direct to my Ethernet switch.

I found 17 non critical updates that I downloaded and installed. This hasn't helped any. I reinstalled the Atheros wireless network adaptor and this hasn't helped. I tried several online scanners for virus and malware that I found at another computer help site and they have found nothing that has made this computer work properly.

I tried a command prompt to run Sfc/scannow in Safe Mode to fix any errors. Verification phase runs to 77% then stops and says "Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation.
I just read through a post I found by searching about deleting the owners profile and making a new one. I don't know if I can do this and not lose any valuable files she has on the computer. Will any files and folders, pictures, documents, etc. still be available after I delete her account?

Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you for any help and advice...

Glenn

I have had to reinstall Windows 7 64-bit edition, and when I go to install PCWizard or Everest Home Edition, I keep getting an error about drivers not being digitally signed, and Windows will not install them. Before I reinstalled Windows 7, I had both of these programs running just fine. Is there anyway I can change the fact that Windows 7 will let me install those drivers?

Answer:Digitally Signed Drivers?

The only way for 64 bit versions of Vista or Win7 to work without digitally signed drivers is to start them up using F8 to get teh Advanced Startup and disable the Digitally Signed Driver service.

If you had them working before did you make sure all your drivers now are current?

I recently got a docking station for my laptop (Dell precision M65 w/WinXP Pro SP3 all updates) and when I plugged it in (after all the plug-n-play stuff detected the new docking station stuff), the mouse plugged into the dock USB port would not work (it worked fine previously when plugged into the laptop USB port). I undocked and plugged the mouse back into the laptop's port but it still didn't work.

I went into the device management applet and and tried to update the driver. There was nothing under "Mice and other pointing devices" except the PS/2 touchpad. Under "Human Interface Devices" there was an entry called "HID-Compliant device" If I deleted that device and then did a "scan for hardware changes" I would get the "found new hardware" popup in the tray and then breifly see "Dell USB Optical Mouse" during which the mouse would work but within 2 or 3 seconds it would switch to "HID-Compliant device" and then inform me that my hardware was ready to use at which point the mouse stopped working.

After much screwing around with the device manager and various other USB mice, I found that I could use the "Update Driver" right-click menu item to force the driver to "HID-Compliant mouse" by bypassing all the "Automatic" stuff. This resuted in a working mouse, but I have to do this every time I turn on the laptop.

I have been trying now to install drivers for my Panasonic Digital Camera, which installs itself as a ZIP drive (it uses a 3.5 100MB ZiP disk instead of memory cards), and Fusion Dazzle which is an analog to digital convereter. Both plug in via USB. They used to work perfectly until I had to reformat and reinstall Windows on my computer.

I now get an error message that it is missing certain files (which ARE on the system) and it is looking for "C:\PCLEUSB.drv". When I point it to the correct driver location I get an error message saying that this driver has not been digitally signed to be compatible for Windows XP and will now exit installation.

I am using the most current drivers from the manufacturer and they say that they are Windows compatible and I am the first to have this problem. So far, they have been unable to assist.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

About a month ago out of the blue Windows 8 started signing me into a temporary profile. I didn't download anything I know of or do anything different to make this happen in between it working ok and then not working so I have no idea why this happened. So I did a system restore to a previous point in time which was very annoying as my computer then had to update a program and it pushed me over my internet data download limit for that month with my isp.

The computer has worked ok for the past 3 weeks and now suddenly the same thing has happened. I just turned it on and it is logging me into a temporary profile. I tried the registry fix this time as I didn't want to have to go back in time with a system restore and do large updates again. Now it looks like my profile doesn't even exist in the computer, just an administrator one that is disabled.

Firstly I am wondering why this keep on happening. Why does Windows 8 all of a sudden start logging me into a temporary profile? This is making things unmanageable for me. I never had any problems on Windows 7 and so far this is causing me major inconvenience. So much so I am thinking about just reinstalling Windows 7 and taking Windows 8 back for a refund because the way it's going I can't use this software...

Any advice appreciated.

Answer:Getting Signed in with Temporary Profile again!

Hello Roxxy, and welcome to Eight Forums.

A temporary profile error occurs when your user account's profile has been corrupted by something and Windows is no longer able to load it.

I'm not sure which registry fix you tried, but you might see if the method in the tutorial below may be able to help with your temporary profile error. This basically deletes the corrupted profile to have a new profile automatically created the next time you successfully sign in.

I'll try to keep this brief:

> Upgraded GFX cards to 2 x Asus EAH4980 (ATI Radeon HD4890 architecture) from NVidia 8800GTS

> Performed full format on HD and reinstalled Windows Vista X64 Home Premium as well as SP1 and SP2

> Installed chipset drivers etc.

> Installed bundled VGA drivers (8.592)

> Installed miscellaneous software/games

System was running very stable and performing well in Benchmarking tests and games. I then tried to update the VGA drivers to the latest versions, first from ATI's own website - Catalyst 9.8 with VGA driver displayed in Device Manager as 8.640 - and then from Asus' website - displayed as 8.630 in Device Manager.

No matter what drivers I update to I am met with BSOD errors as soon as I try to run any kind of media on my PC. The dump files/dxdiag info etc. is attached to this post.

Upon investigation I note that one driver is not loading and is listed as 'not digitally signed', namely

ATKDispLowFilter.sys

This driver is an AsusTek release. It appears to load ok before I perform these driver updates. I can find no reference to any issues with it either on Asus' forums or elsewhere so this doesn't appear to be a common problem.

I've tried to locate a signed version of the driver to no avail.

Any solution would be very much appreciated.

Phil
