I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi: You need this driver for that device... This package contains the software that enables the HP Quick Launch Buttons, which are special function keys on HP Notebooks. This software works with supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

Since about 1-2 months ago whenever I hooked up my phone (HTC Rezound) to my computer through my USB chord I get an error message saying that it's an unrecognized device and that it was stopped because the device has shown previous problems. I used to upload videos and pictures from my phone to my computer about once a week for months straight and I didn't have a problem with it. Is there any way that I can adjust something in my computer to fix this? Thank you for your help!

I've made a fresh, clean install of Windows XP on my toshiba portege m200 (tablet). I've got most of the devices drivers installed, but there's one that I can't figure out. Device Manager says I have an "unknown device" on my "Intel 82801 dbm lpc interface controller".

What is it? I thought it was the chipset, but I had installed the Intel chipset drivers (twice, just to make sure I had really done it), but it still reads as "unknown device" on "Intel(R) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC ".

Answer:Portege M200 - Unkown device in device manager

To fix this problem go to device manager, right click on the unknown device and select update driver.
When the hardware update wizard comes up, select the advance option.
On the next window, select the "Do not Search. I will choose the driver" option
Now go to the Intel listing and select the correct "82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC?
Click OK and now it should work.

Make also sure that you have all drivers from the Toshiba website installed: > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers

I recently installed Windows 7 on my L500-164 with all Vista 64 driver. I didn't find special drivers for Windows 7 x64 on the drivers download page.
But there is still one device with an unknown state in the device manager. I installed all avaible drivers so I don't know what that may be. How can I find out and install the proper driver? The device's name is just "unknown"

Thanks in advance

Answer:Satellite L500-164 Unkown Device in Device Manager

Hello Feodor

You confuse me completely. If the Win7 64bit drivers are not available how you can write ?I installed all available drivers?? What drivers you installed?

Anyway, open properties for this unknown device and go to details. There you can find device ID.
Send us this device ID.

Recently i noticed that i have an unkown device in my device manager, its hardware id is "PCI\VEN_1414&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_00041414&REV_00", which seems to be a usb host simulator.
But what on earth is it? I can't delete it, after deleting, it will appear again.

Answer:Unkown device in device manger and can't be uninstalled

If you right click on it then click Properties it should show the name of the driver. I'm not familiar with it. But deleting will just cause Windows to reinstall the device. I would find out what the driver is for before uninstalling.

Also "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is usually a good rule of thumb to follow.

In my device manager I have an unknown device in the other devices pull down. It's location is on [Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System] Diver Status [The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.] It has no digital signer, no driver version, provider, or date. Under properties: details its lists...
This just showed up in device manager today and most of the info I can find on it is Vista 64 related. Can anyone explain to me what this is and if it's important?

Answer:Device Manager Unkown Device

Have you tried optional updates thru windows update - i think its to do with a monitoring chip on the board - there are a couple of drivers on the site - ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Click downloads - vista 64 bit OS - GO to utilities - this maybe the driver you need - ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Win7 32&64-bit - i would see if this installs firstly, or whether its on windows update.

There is also a driver Im not sure about it could be : ACPI driver for ATK 0110 virtual device version 1043.2.15.37 for Windows 2000 / XP (32bit and 64bit) / 2003 (32bit & 64bit) / VISTA (32bit & 64bit)

I just did a clean install of Windows 2000 on an old IBM NetVista.

I upgraded the BIOS to the latest before doing so.

Everything is looking pretty good except I've got one device that isn't recognized in Device Manager. Device Manager does not say what it is - just the yellow ! mark.

I ran Aida32 and was able to determine that the unknown device appears to be an Intel 828101BA SMBus Controller.

I ran the Intel Inf Installer, but I still can't get Windows to recognize the device.

I'm not noticing any problems, but it would be nice to figure out what's going on.

What do you suggest I try now?

Answer:Unkown PCI Device - Looks like SMBus

Is this the file you ran?

Some of the 810 inf files do not include 2000. What model of NetVista is the machine?

What "charger"? Is this the mains adapter for a Laptop or have you plugged a charger for another device into a USB port? If it is a USB connection, Windows might detect this as new hardware and try to install it.

I just upgrade my CPU from a Intel Celeron D, to a Intel Pentium D Dual core. Everything works great. When i go into the BIOS it list the new processor and all that good stuff, but on the device manager it list UNKNOWN DEVICE under CPU, and when i try to upgrade the BIOS for the mother board (Intel D945GCL) its says that its not an intel product. Everytime i start Windows (Vista) is says new hardware detected, but cant find the driver. Should i reset the BIOS? Reinstall Windows? I dont know what to do. The MoBo is compatible with the Processor. Everything else (CPU-Z, Everest, Ect.) sees thats its the right processor. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!?!?!?!?!?!?

Answer:Upgraded my CPU, Now Unkown Device

when you installed the chipset driver it installs the CPU as well.
go into your Add/Remove programs under Control Panel and uninstall the Intel Celeron D driver , restart the computer and once it loads again put in the CD that came with your motherboard and install the CPU driver again

I have a few problems:
1. My one USB 3.0 does not recognize any device I plug in. In the device manager "Unknown Device" is displayed under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" when something is plugged in. I can charge my phone in this port though. Actually, I just plugged in an older USB mouse I had and it worked briefly. I haven't had this happen with anything else. I know I had this mouse consistently plugged into this port when it was still working though. Hm... coincidence?
2. One of my two USB 2.0s works, but it will only recognize my newer USB Mouse, and nothing else. My last USB 2.0 will accept everything I plug into it; the older mouse, USB Keyboard, and Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch.
3. I'm pretty sure this is unrelated, but Windows always fails to install update "Intel Corporation-Display-Intel® HD Graphics."
4. The device manager likes to refresh... a lot... and fairly irregularly.
I've tried re-installing and uninstalling the "Unknown Driver," but to no result.

I've had a heck of a time finding drivers for my MB in the past. Even my $100/hr IT guy at work who took my PC home overnight at one point said he had a heck of a time finding the RIGHT MB drivers that worked.

So, my PC is working right now, so I'm a little scared to go messing with it but I think I've come to the right place. I've been having some random trouble rebooting and some slow frame rates in games and found I have a bad Video Card today (was running dual SLI) As I was researching that problem I discovered I have an unknown device, in the "Details" tab it's Hardware value is ACPI\AWY0001.

In another post on this site "" One answer was to update the chipset, but since that was an HP Pavilion the link provided obviously won't work.

My MB is an ASUS M2N-SLI rev. 1.00G

On a side note, I've read that the program EVEREST is a good program to give you info about your system, but when I install and run EVEREST home ed it can't give me any info about my MB, Chipset, GPU. Just thought that was weird. Maybe it's because all my drivers aren't installed.

I've had issues with the touchpad on and off ever since I bought this laptop. Sometimes it doesn't work after a startup (fixed with restart), just skips around after startup (fixed with restart) or the "advanced" touchpad functions like two finger scrolling etc. don't work after startup (fixed by reinstalling drivers + restart.  But this time it's different. There is no mouse pointer, no function at all. I've rebooted several times. When I try to install a driver I am told there is "no appropriate driver to be installed". When I look in the device manager, there is no touchpad device but an unkown device. Its hardware ID is ACPI\VEN_FFF&DEV_FFFF which can't be right. I've tried uninstalling the unkown device and searching for hardware changes. I've tried updating the driver through windows. I've also tried installing the driver by using the "add legacy hardware" button but it did not work. And yes I have already checked that it's not disabled with the fn keys  Please help

My PC has started shutting down , well the screen goes black and I have to switch off then back on. When it reboots I get the error message that the system has recovered from a serious error and the Microsoft OAC tells me its caused by an unknown device driver. No solution availabe.

In device manager there is no yellow ? Ive gone thru all my drivers to check for updates and tried without success to find out exactly what driver is causing the problem. The microsoft troubleshooter on minidumps etc is as clear as mud to me.

I have run the following. Ewido, Spyware doctor, Spybot, Bazooka, Blacklight, Hijackthis and apart from a few cookies nothing was found.

The only thing that seemed to work was doing a system restore and the latest restore point mentioned something about Software Distribution T-Online ???? The only changes made recently were some updates so I assume this was one of them, I got nowhere with google on the subject.

Problem solved !! well it was for 3 days then it did it again. And it also bleeped twice in those three days. My pc has never done that before.

The shutdowns happen both when online and when in folders etc.

I run my XP firewall, Nod32, regularly use Spybot and immunise with Spyware Blaster and every so often run a full system scan with Spyware doctor. I also regularly run CCleaner and Reg Seeker.

Ive just remember one thing I did that may be relevant , maybe not but I was fed up with the flyout program list being so big ... Read more

Every once in a while, my windows XP crashes. When the windows automatically restarts, the error messaging of Windows shows up and says, "The system has recovered from a serious error..." When I send the error report to Microsoft, the online crash analysis says that the crash was the result of a devise driver but that no further infortmation is available. Other than the factory installed programs and Micosoft Office 2003 (a fully licensed legitimate version) and the RealOne Player, I don't have anything else installed. I have never had any file-sharing programs installed. Sometimes, before the Windows restarts I see this blue screen that quickly goes away which also says that the system crashed because of something, but the blue screen goes away quickly and the Windows starts. How can I find out what the problem is. How can I find out which one of my device drivers is causing the repeated crashing of the Windows XP? I even went to the device manager, but none of the devices had their boxes opened, which means that they are operating correctly. My laptop is an HP pavillion ze5385us and I bought it two years ago. It has Windows XP SP-1 with all the usual updates. It has the Pentium 4 Processor at 2.66GHz. And this problem has been going on for more than a year now. Please help!

Hello there,
all of a sudden the sound has stopped working on my packard bell easynote e3/e5 laptop.
I've tried system restores from many different restore points, but it keeps saying it cant do it. No reason.. it just, cant do it.
Ive checked the device manager and it has 2 yellow exclmation marks in the sound and video section, both of which are listed as Unkown items.
When i try to uninstall/reinstall the items, i get a message saying the items were not intended for my platform and it quits installation.

Ive now tried getting both the new ac97 patch, and the one i used when it worked last time, both of which havnt done anything.

Ive had a couple of messages about winmm wmd's and kernel audio splitters but still no resolve.

Ive gone to the packarad bell website and downloaded the new respective patches, including the realtek audio driver and the realtek wmd update but still no sound.

This is disgusting, Ive been trying to fix it for 3 days solid.

Is there an ymore info i can give?! Does anyone know what I can do?

Oh and when i try to play videos, obviously the video plays fine, but just without sound. When I try and open volume control i get an error message saying theres no mixing device on the system so i should go to add hardware, but of course everytime i do that, it either says theres nothing wrong and doesnt fix anything, or it says theres something wrong but it wont fix it. Hi guys, I need some help here. I upgraded my laptop from 8.1 to 10 a couple of days ago. It started with the BSOD (Power state failure) every single time after  a resume from sleep. I resolved that by changing some(If I still remember correctly) chipset controller drive to another driver (There was only 2 to choose from the menu it was either one or the other) Problem is, I realized a removable unkown device in my toolbar. Went into device manager found out it was the sandisk U100 ssd (From the ID thing-o). It was labeled as an unkown device. I cannot find precence of the driver from any diaganostic software. (I THINK I used to see it in the hard disk test in the lenovo quick test but now there is only the main hdd) In the bios, the closet thing that I can find that resembles the SSD is something called HDD2 in the boot sequence.  Does anyone have an idea on how to get the cache drive back?

Answer:Satellite P200 (PSPB6E) - DVD listed as unkown in device manager

That?s strange buddy, maybe your drive is faulty?!

Have you already tried to remove the CD/DVD drive from device manager? After this restart the notebook and your drive should be listed properly. Check this!!!

What OS do you have? Have you installed the latest service pack?

I am having issues installing Windows update and I keep getting "Code 800b0100: Windows Encountered an unkown error".
I have ran the Download System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 and that fixed another error that was coming up before but I am now getting this one.

I also ran the "sfc /scannow" and got "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" at the end.

Attaching the CBS folder as well as the list of updates it is failing on.

Thanks in advance!

My IDT audio works fine and my laptop's sound works fine, but when I hoop up my laptop to my TV through a HDMI cord I get my laptop's video output displayed on my TV but no sound from my laptop is output to my TV. I think the problem is because there is something wrong with my High Definition Audio Device. It has a yellow triangle next to it with a ! in the middle of the yellow triangle in device manager under Sound, video, and game controllers. And when I click properties on the High Definition Audio Device, it says, " This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful". Any help would be great. Answer:High Definition Audio Device - Device Cannot Start (Code 10)

Hi @JS2045 The problem HD audio device you are seeing is the Intel HDMI audio device that needs a driver. I looked around for a W10 driver for the hardware ID you posted, and can't find one. You don't need that device unless you want/need audio through the display port. The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W7 Intel graphics driver from your notebook's support and driver page, but install it this that you just target the problem audio device... Download, but don't run this graphics driver... Download and install this free file utility.  64 bit is the second file listed. After you install 7-zip, right click on the graphics driver file you downloaded, and select 7-zip from the list of items. Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the driver to the folder name (sp64360). Go to the device manager and click on the problem Intel HD audio device needing the driver. Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way. Then reboot. If you explore the driver folder 7-zip created, and open the DisplayAudio folder, you will find the setup informa... Hey! First things first, I'm running an Aspire V3-772g laptop. After the recent Windows 10 update, I was having issues getting past the lock screen (took AGES to get to the point where I could input my password) and it had been a while, so I reformatted ('reset my PC' deleting all files) - this actually didn't solve my problem, so I used Rufus with a Windows 10 iso from Microsoft to delete all partitions and REALLY start fresh. Ever since, the laptop is running like a dream--in all but one respect. It seems like no matter WHAT I do, I CANNOT get my HDMI audio / TV to appear as an option in Playback Devices (yes, disabled devices is ticked). Looking in Device Manager, the High Definition Audio Device has an exclamation mark is throwing a code 10 - device unable to start. I've tried uninstalling it, tried installing all drivers from Intel's V3-772g page including chipset, updated my graphics driver / Realtek / Intel HD audio drivers... and yet, nothing. Ran /sfc, ran /chkdsk, nothing. I read something that led me to believe .NET framework might be part of the issue--and I did actually have quite a bit of difficulty getting 3.5 installed / functional, but I finally did...... and still, nothing!! I'm seriously losing my mind. I'm having to run my surround sound through an auxiliary cable into the laptop, which is just sacrilege and a fraction of the quality. If there is ANYTHING, ANYONE can suggest beyond the above, please do!!

We have some symbol windows mobile-based handheld devices that we use in our business.  We connect these devices to our computers to copy files to.  This all worked fine until recently the devices come up as failed.
It appears in device manager with a yellow exclamation point.
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.  (Code 19)
I've tried all the solutions I can find on the web and none of them work.
Uninstall the device in device manager and scan for changes.  It downloads the driver from windows-update and returns to code 19.
Tried hardware troubleshooter which basically seems to automate the process of uninstalling and scanning.
I've tried removing windows media player 12 feature and adding it back.
I've tried deleting USB controllers from Device Manager and rebooting, it re-detects them all and still gets code 19 on the device.
I've tried deleting upper and lower filter values in the registry which I found out later is mainly for CD/DVD devices, that didn't fix anything.
I've tried removing and re-installing Windows Mobile Device Center and driver pack and that did not fix it either.
Additionally Canon Powershot camera gives us similar results.  MTP USB Device failed.
This is so far happening on 3 of our workstations that we know of.

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.

Do you have Kaspersky installed? Kaspersky Filter driver caused that any USB device could not connect.

It is suggested to have a look at the following registry. Make a backup of it and remove the Upperfilters setting:

“Upperfilters” = klfltdrv

If the issue persists, please find a working machine and compare the registry settings.

I've just upgraded my 6 year old computer from Win XP to Win 7.

In Device Manager, there is an item with a yellow caution under Other Devices called "PCI Input Device". The Device Properties indicates Code 28. I searched both the Internet and the computer but couldn't find a driver.

I ran Belarc Advisor and didn't see any hardware errors.

There doesn't seem to be any more specific clues regarding the component causing this error and there also doesn't seem to be any hardware that isn't working. (at least not that I have found)

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

I'm experiencing slim keyboard not being recognized in the Windows 8.1
The keyboard was working fine until just one day it just stopped working.
I tried factory reset literally 8 times along with most recent BIOS update and dell's recommended update software. + power setting --> disabling power saving on USB
It still come up as unrecognized each time even with fresh reinstall.
I was wondering if this is a hardware issue or just software bug from factory reset.
I don't think there is a available driver for this kind of problem is there?

Question: Unkown problem

My friend has a Dell Inspirion Laptop running Vista. The laptop will not boot. It runs the windows load screen then starts processing a series of files freezing with a message of "0xc0190036 !! 1909/100432 (msdtctm.dll)". When trying to boot into safemode it stops at windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys. I booted into the repair feature of the installation and tried to repair the boot cycle, it failed. I tried a load a restore point, that failed. My friend has files and programs they would like saved, does anybody have any suggestions before I try a complete system restore?

Answer:Unkown problem

This might be worth trying

Unplug your notebook, and power down the computer. Remove the battery and then hold the power button on for 20 secs. This will discharge any residual system memory, and could dump anything hanging your computer.Click to expand...

Put in the battery, plug the computer to the outlet and turn it on.

Question: Unkown Infection

So the strangest thing is happening. Whenever I go to my Download folder windows loads up Dllhost.exe which starts using 10-15% of CPU and will keep chewing up all sorts of ram. I caught it once using 2 gig of Ram... I Ran the Symantec Trojan. Poweliks removal tool and it came up clean. It's really strange that this one specific folder is triggering the Dllhost.exe to open..

Thoughts ? Suggestions ?

EDIT: Found the issue. I had a hunch it was something to do with this 360 spherical video I downloaded from You Tube. I guess there was something about the file that Windows didn't like, or was trying to generate a preview. Really bizarre.

Hi guys,

I have an unrecognised icon appearing on my PC. It appears on every single window and web page I have open, i.e no matter what I open this icon is always visible. The icon is marked in the black box , top right corner, I added the highlight box.

This is a shared computer so I'm not sure if someone else has installed or added it. When I asked if anybody body knew what it was the answer is always 'no'.

Any help would be great as its driving me crazy, looking at it all the time and not knowing what it is for.

Lately it's been taking my XP system a long time to get past the "Loading your personal settings" part of boot up, so I took a look at the event viewer log and came across this:Event Type: InformationEvent Source: Service Control ManagerEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 7035Date: 11/11/2011Time: 5:05:16 PMUser: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEMComputer: PIXELDUCK0222Description:The MpKsl24e2c177 service was successfully sent a start control. For more information, see Help and Support Center at red flags go up whenever I see anything named with an apparently random sequence of characters. MS Info lists it as a Kernel Driver, and Process Monitor lists it as well so it may be all well and good -- but how do I know?EDIT: FWIW, booting in verbose mode shows me the boot delay is occurring while wlnotify.dll loads...

Answer:Unkown Service

It's a part of Microsoft Security Essentials if you have it installed.

Question: unkown ad malware

Hello everyone I'm using windows xp professional with service pack three. Few days ago i started to hear computer adds for the military and random other advertisements. The weird thing about the situation is nothing is open on the computer no browsers or programs the adds play at random and i cant see them only hear them. I had seen a few pop-ups come up when the system booted up but didn't hear ads.If i had to guess the adds run ever 15-20 min I tried to run GMER and it gets to the windows folder and while its scan some file in there it goes to a blue screen and this error pops up. I am starting to think I have a virus/malware. My puter has been slowing down and acting weird lately. I have post on another forum about hijack this (which won't play right) which I am waiting patiently for a reply,

My computer keeps loosing its connection to the internet. For the most part, I just hit connect to, select my home wireless selection, and am good to go again. This time, just for fun, I wanted to see what else was there. At the very bottom of the list is a selection showing two green bars, called Drought house. a security enabled network. Is this my threat?

ometimes my volume selector disapppears from my task tray, sometimes I can't see programs in "all program" that I know are there....

Using task manager, I have watched my physical memory go from 55 to 100 in increments over a a few minutes and never come down.

I cant run back up, there are problems.... and I cant play bubble shooter from windows explorer, but I can from both firefox and google chrome.

Standing by to hear it it is just me having done something Stupid in settings, or if l may need an intervention

My other post is about hijack this, and I am NOT trying to jump the queue. But I thought it important that any expert know that I have been inquiring on a seperate issue, that I suspect may not be a seperate issue after all.

Thank you

Question: Unkown Virus

Hi All, Yesterday evening my AGV Virus checker splashed a notice on the monitor screen that it had found a "Trojan Horse Qhosts.dropper" (or something like that) on my computer. I ran a checkwith AVG and it said that it had got rid of this virus. Does anyone know what it is and is it likely to have done any harm that I don't yet know about? Do I need to do anything else to make sure? Many thanks in advance. gill

Answer:Unkown Virus

I am also having this problem, norton flashes that it has found the trojan dropper virus while I am connected to the web. But when I scan the system its says no virus was found. I have tried using search & destoy, that finds nothing. It is then ok for a couple of days and then norton again flashes it has found the virus. I have zone alarm on but I still keep getting this measage. I have been to nortons website and tried the removal method they suggest but with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas.

Hello everyone!

This afternoon I deinstalled AVG 8.5 Internet Security because since I installed it my pc runs slower. I then installed G Datas Internet Security (Trial) but had the problem that I couldnt update its database without being registered and to do that I had to buy the programm, so I searched for a keygen and downloaded it, I let G Data and Spybot scan it and they didnt find anything. When I double-clicked on the file it dissapeard and since then I cant open any .exe files, when I restarted, before the shutdown windown opened the screen went black for about 10 seconds and when I logged into the account it did the same, after that all autostart programs gave this message:
C:\programms\.... the archive is either unknown or damaged, as any programm I tried to start.
I then went into another user account, there I ran Ad-aware, Pandas Cloud AV and BitDefender Online Scan and they didnt find anything! (everything works fine in the other user account).

I hope you can help me find the problem.

Then you are the cause of your own problems! You need to read the below and you need to uninstall all kegens and illegal software now before doing anything else as we will remove them if we see them:

Warning about Porn, Keygens, Cracks, and other Illegal Software

It is highly likely you have damaged the registry for this user account. You could try using system restore if possible to restore it from safe boot mode. If you cannot boot to this account in safe mode or normal boot mode, you will have to try the below:
Try restoring to an older registry hive using the Recovery Console as per the below.;en-us;307545&sd=tech

I have been trying to detect /clean this computer for two weeksPC is a laptop running XP pro with current updates ,and Kaspersky antivirus suite 6.03 corporateMe first hint was some odd persistent connections showing in my boundary firewall for the office late one evening.I thought all PC's would be off at that time. This one wasnt.I traced the IP addresses to China222.185.245.525124.238.253..88218.0.108.106202.105.21.217I tried dropping the connections but they quickly reestablished. So I setup a rule to block them. While troubleshooting the laptop the next day the user said his network monitor showed unusual steady high data rates.Using TCPmonitor and process monitor we found that a task named Firefox was causing the traffic. The user uninstalled Firefox and deleted the folders. When I allowed them the firewall showed the same IP connections to China. We replaced the Corporate Kaspersky with the most current Demo version and it started blocking a process running in svchost that claims to be coming from c:\~program\mozilla\Firefox folder. This folder does not exist.using the task ID I can kill 3 different svchosts tasks and then Laptop will run overnight without tripping the Kaspersky live protection. These tasks run about once every five minutes when the network cable is connected. They are silent when there is no network connection. When Kaspersky blocks the tasks Ethereal logs also shows that the program is using DNS to findNS1.3322.netNS1.ORAY.NETNS1.CHINA.CO... Read more

Hi its been a while since my last post but i have no stumbled across a problem i cant resolve by myself and need help greatly and will be appreciated.

I have a virus alert coming up on my computer which i believe was triggered from a spyware program that i dont know how got their but called "spyware falcon" but i still get the pop up in the bottom corner of the task bar. i have a picture from a print screen but i dont know how to paste a picture into these, but it says this "Your computer is infected! critical system error! System detected virus activities. This may cause critical system failure. Please, use antimalware to clean and protect your system from parasite programs. Click here to get all available software."

I have used my virus scanner (bitdefender) and removed quite a few trojans now and it comes back clean when i scan for the 1 and a half hour scans, and also my AVG scanner picks up nothing to virus wise.
I have also used many spyware programs which have all cleaned everything malicious away, i have used spybot, adaware, spyware doctor and pc bug doctor all succesfully cleaning away spyware and anything related to it.
But still i have this pop up, before i used to get a green disabled icon, flashing with a red circle cross with the pop up, but now its just the pop up.
So now i turn to you.

I believe I have a TROJAN HORSE or malware infection on my computer.

My CPU usage is constantly at 100% and computer freezes.

I have run multiple scans in "safe mode" and "normal mode" using Spysweeper, Spyware Terminator AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Adaware. Spyware Sweeper said I am infected with Trojan Breplibot and Trojan Radim-Hook. However, I sought out information from Symantec and Trend Micro so I could locate the registry keys it creates. I searched through my registry in both safe mode and normal mode and did not find these registry keys. The registry key I am referring to are $sys$drv.exe(Breplibot)

After performing a Hijackthis log I deleted all suspicious BHO'S.
There is one file I am hesitant to delete, for I do not know if it is important or simply corrupted. It is "Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\nwprovau.dll" (This is from a Hijackthis log)Is this file a Trojan? After running a google search I believe it is.

Thanks for your effort to help and your concern.

Question: Unkown Malware

My pc recently has been acting absolutely crazy! It started when I was only able to connect to wi-fi for like 2 minutes at a time, then it would not be able to connect. Now I can't connect at all. All I get is "Limited or No Connectivity". I'm connected via ethernet now. I work for IT, so I know all the procedures and this is my last resort. I've run malwarebytes scan, avira antivirus scan, etc. Found nothing. I've also tried system restore, to no avail. I'm getting the Google link redirects and sudden crashes (not able to unzip anything, run any commands in cmd, show desktop, or even access task manager). These symptoms are all random and seem to be independent of each other. Here are the requested logs. Question: Unkown Problem

i am not sure if this is hardware or a software problem at all.

Well im not sure what is causing this problem , im thinking maybe it is my mouse but my computer seems to be kinda glitchy lately. Well main problem is i cannot highlight something as in when i click and hold and go to high light some text is will highlight it and then stop and start high lighting again , or it will just lose the highlight. This happens with text and even when i try to select more than 1 picture it will unselect it and i will constantly try like 10 times before it actually high lights more then one picture. Weird thing is that other times it will work fine and i will not have any problem but lately most of the time is just gives me this weird problem.

I am not sure exactly how to describe the problem.. i could possibly get a webcam video of the problem if no one really understand what im trying to say.

What do you guys think the problem is and what is causing it.

Some thing as basic as being on the desktop , and you know when you hold down your mouse you can select icons with that box.. even the box just dies and start over and just stops.. its become a real pain to drag and hold stuff and highlight things.

Answer:Unkown Problem

I'm either thinking it's spyware related, or your mouse is on it's way out. I'm hoping it's the latter.

Run all relevant spyware cleaners and can you try another mouse.
