How To Enable Smooth Accent Color Change

Question: How To Enable Smooth Accent Color Change

Hello,

I have a Slideshow of pictures on my Desktop that changes every 1 minute. I have enabled this certain option:
Settings -> Personalization -> Colors -> "Automatically pick an accent color from my background" checkbox checked.

Yet there are two issues with this option:
1) Once the Desktop background image changes, an active File Explorer window tends to refresh. When a folder has many files in it and I am scrolled down in the folder, the Desktop background will eventually change. When it changes, the folder refreshes and it scrolls all the way back to the top. That shouldn't happen; it should stay exactly in the location I am at.
2) Right after the Desktop background changes, any window that it active changes its title bar color at a sudden instance. Windows 8.1 used to change this smoothly by blending from the previous color to the new color. Why doesn't Windows 10 do this?

Why don't the developers Upgrade previous versions of Windows instead of re-writing it all over again with excessive mistakes?

Help me fix those two issues from above please. Thanks

Preferred Solution: How To Enable Smooth Accent Color Change

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Can't seem to find out how to change the background color for the navigation bar to be the accent color. It used to be buried in windows phone 8.1 but now I can't find it at all in Windows 10 Technical preview. Can someone let me know where the settings are to change this if you find it.
Don't see the option anymore but Daniel has managed to do it as it is shown in his File Explorer video.
Thanks! Overall loving Windows 10 :D

I have green as my accent color. When I type something on facebook, whose accent color is blue, I'd like my keyboard accent color to change to Facebook's accent color. The same goes for IMDB, OneNote, etc. In short, I want the app to feel uniform and think this ability would go along way to increasing that uniformity.

Answer:Is there a way to change the color of the popup keyboard to match an app's accent color?

I honestly never stopped to think about that xd Would be a good idea. Post it on the uservoice site

Hey guys,
This is my first post here! So, I've run into some trouble with Win 10. I was trying to totally black out my win10 and for that I had to install custom themes and stuff but I had an issue where some parts of the theme would revert back to white after coming out of sleep. Someone suggested that deleting the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors key would fix that problem and it did. But out came another problem from this, where the color of the ctrl-alt-del / shutting down screen wouldnt change to anything else from the default blue color even though I set the accent color to red. This also might have been caused by me switching from ultrauxthemepatcher to uxthememultipatcher (which uses in memory patching instead of modifying dlls) and back to ultrauthemepatcher

If any of you guys have faced an issue like this and fixed it please help! Also could someone just make a backup of that DefaultColors key from registry(preferably from someone running build 1607) and post it for me so that i can try to fix this thing that way?

Thanks for your help guys

Hi Forum

I read on the internet that you can add your own custom accent color thru the registry. I did that but it didn't change my accents in the start menu or on the log off screen. I was wondering is there any other way of changing or forcing windows to accept your custom accent color? The custom color I want is black. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:How to change accent color?

Black might be confusing in Safe Mode 'cos the background is black.

So I had this problem since the first time I upgraded to Windows 10.

In Personalization> Colors setting there's an option, "Automatically pick an accent color from my background". At first, I thought that settings only change the color to the current background I used. Well, I use slideshow background that changes every 10 minutes. That setting does change the color to the current background(wallpaper) color. But I started to realize when I looked at my friend's PC. His Windows 10's accent color changes automatically every time the background changes. Mine doesn't.

Is this a bug or something? Does anyone have a fix for this?

Answer:Windows 10 Accent Color Won't Change Automatically

Similar issue here, I'll probably create a new thread soon since this is old.

When PC starts, the taskbar will not automatically change colors to match my custom wallpaper theme. I have to right click and open personalization settings, then it somehow remembers the "auto change colors to wallpaper" box is checked, then it changes colors like it is supposed to.

I am not changing any settings after I right click and press Personalize. Simply opening the settings causes the OS to change colors. But it will not change them if I do nothing.

This is annoying because if I want things looking legitimate, I have to take extra steps every time I start my system up.

Hey, I just noticed that when I try to change the default blue accent color , nothing happens. The new color gets selected in the palette, and I noticed it changes the shadow color of windows, but everything else stays blue. When I go somewhere else in Personalisation and then return to Personalisation -> Color, the color is set to the default blue again. It's not updating the color for some reason.

Any ideas what to do here pls ?

Hi all,

Recently after installing a few new Windows 8.1 machines i have noticed that the possibility to change the background and accent color of the new start screen (and accent colors in other screens) seems to dissapear after you set Windows to boot to desktop (and skip the start screen). As you may well know... this setting is sticked automatically when you are not using a device with a touchscreen (eg. a normal PC with mouse and keyboard).

I re-checked a few tutorials to show me how i can change these colors, like:
[How To] change start screen background and accent color in Windows 8.1 Update
(and a few of them which are available here on eightforums).

Whenever i follow these instructions now and click the personalize options, the original Windows config panel is opened for changing your task bar color etc.

Does anyone know how i can still get to the proper dialog for changing these colors?
Because this Accent color is present in more dialogs then the Windows 8 start menu alone, i would still like to alter this one afterwards.

Hi,

So, when I am using the Windows lock screen, especially when I am not currently signed in, Windows tends to set my lock screen accent color to purple, much like my wife's account on the computer. She has chosen a purple accent color for her account, which is fine, except that mine is red. Now, this is not really a huge issue, as everything is normal once I have logged in, but the fact that everyone else's account is normal and it isn't assigning that color to any other accounts is extremely annoying. I've just been dealing with it for the past few months and I'm just tired of it.

Does anyone have any possible solutions to this? Or maybe an explanation as to why this would be happening? Thanks.

Hey there,
I just watched Zac Bowden's walkthrough of the Windows 10 Fall Creator's update hoping I could find an answer to this concept screenshot:
This "white accent color" on the taskbar is something that Windows 10 users have been requesting for years with no possible solution. That is, until this concept screenshot above emerged for less than two seconds in the Fluent Design System concept video.
Apparently, Microsoft went for a strange solution to this request. Instead of giving the users the option to select #FFFFFF as an accent color, they seem to have added it as an "Invert" color filter in the ease of access settings panel (as per Zac's video).
As you can see, this color filter produces an undesired effect: the colors on Daniel Rubino's pinned MyPeople face have been inverted (lower right corner). This induced effect is unnatural for those who desire just a white accent color.
So, I guess it is back to the drawing board for the white accent color concept. Or, there could be a workaround. Who knows?

It happens after every reboot, and after about 24 hours of being on, the color changes to this ugly pumpkin orange. At first I thought they just changed it when you installed the update as a halloween or thanksgiving thing, but it keeps changing back. I've tried setting the color manually, or having it pick one from my background, but the orange keeps coming back.

Wouldn't it be cool if Microsoft allowed users to choose a second accent color for the background of their task bar, start menu, & action center? This isn't exactly a question, but a concept to ponder; because having the same color background as the live tiles is kinda ugly.

I remember when I first got my computer and it was Windows 8.1 the Bubbles screensaver had the black background and I remember I was able to type in search Accent and it would have a fly out tab from the side (said accent color) it was different from the other color picker for taskbar and such. I was able to pick an accent color and it changed the background color of the bubbles screensaver. Even after I upgraded to 10 it had stuck and still had the color I had chosen, until recently...I was messing around with the themes and now the bubbles screensaver is back to having the black background and no matter what I can't figure out how to change it. Was wondering if anyone has any ideas I'd be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

So the standard color for Windows 10 is grey. I tried changing through settings to blue. However Windows 10 is being realllllyyyyy stubborn. It changes to blue, then when I click on the start button it changes back to grey, back and forth. But it gets better. The start button tiles change everytime I click the start button. From blue back to grey, back to blue etc. I tried using ClassicShell to change it. Succesfullyish. I got it blue, but the start menu still changes blue and grey the whole time. Also on my second monitor both the start menu as well as the taskbar change colors back and forth. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

First off let me say thank you, to the many post that have helped me from this forum. I have been here several times as a guest. Now my issue.
I am using Win 8.1 on 6 synced PC's and I am trying to change the background and accent colors. When I go the Personalize menu it takes me to the old school options in Control Panel vs. giving me the Personalize menu slide in.
It is doing this on all my synced PC's and I can not find any reason why. I did use a post from here to force colors through the registry, on each PC, but I do not think I should have to do that. I am an administrator on all the PC's and they are not on a company network, or controlled by Group Policy.
Thanks in advance for any help

I recently installed Win10 Home on my laptop, and the only color choices I have for the accent are a set of about 50 color swatches, all of which are pretty garish. This tutorial shows an option to set color with HSB, which I used in the past in 8.1, but those options are absent in 10. I tried setting the desktop to the color I wanted for the taskbar and selecting "Automatically pick an accent color from my background" but all that did was set the color to be the color swatch closest to the color I was using.

Hello all, just upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise today. I am a fan of the Halo, so I am a bit disappointed that Cortana has a different voice for me in the UK than the one in the US (which is the same voice actor as the one in the game).

Does anyone know how I might change her voice to the US one? I must stress that I don't want to change my language to 'American' as this will wind me up with incorrect spellings, but also affect the quality of Cortana's voice recognition and cause issues for regional services.

Thanks!

Not sure if this is due to my hardware or some setting in Windows 7. I have Win 7 Pro x64 on a Sony Vaio ZPCZ11. Using the MS Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 7000. In the file view of Windows File Explorer, if I click in the space and wheel scroll, everything works fine and the scrolling is smooth. Any ideas how to fix this?

Answer:Cannot enable smooth mouse scroll in Windows Explorer Navigation Pane

Well, if anyone cares, it appears that my scroll rate was set too high...even though it works well in certain apps and areas, it just goes too far in Windows Explorer. Set to a lower rate, it scrolls in the Nav Pane normally.

I've seen a couple of other threads about this, but the solutions presented there haven't worked for me.

Since I have multiple monitors, and want a separate wallpaper image for each, I use Display Fusion both to set the wallpaper and to change it in a slideshow fashion.

What this means is that Windows itself is set to use a static wallpaper image, but every X minutes (mine is set to 10 minute intervals) Display Fusion selects a new random image for each screen, stitches them together into one big image that spans all the screens and lines everything up properly, and tells Windows "hey, change the wallpaper to this!"

Now, used to be, when the wallpaper changed, I'd get this nice, pleasant fade from the old to the new. But now, it just snaps to the new image(s) with no transition effect whatsoever.

In the Ease of Access Center, "Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible)" is UNchecked.

In System Properties > Advanced system settings > "Advanced" tab > Performance > Settings, ALL visual effects are ENABLED.

Yes, I AM using an Aero theme.

I was hoping someone can help me with a Macro. I have an Excel Spreadsheet that has numerous tabs. Throughout the workbook there are cells that have the font color of orange. I have been going to each tab and checking to see if there are any cells that have orange font and changing the tab color to orange. Was wondering if there is a Macro that can loop through all the sheets and determine and check for any orange font in the all the worksheets and if there is change the tab color to match accordingly. For Example: Loop through the sheets to determine how many sheets...Check Sheet 1 for any orange font in any cells in sheet1. If there is, change tab color to orange. Check Sheet 2 for any orange font, if any, then change the tab color to orange...etc...I am using Microsoft Excel 2007.Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help!

Answer:Macro change tab color based on font color

First you post a question asking how to change all Tabs that are colored Orange to be No Color, then you post a question asking how to turn Tabs Orange.Make up your mind! ;-)Anyway, once again we have the issue of what color Orange do you have. Excel 2003 was much more limited in choices for colors, so this type of thing was much easier to do than it is in 2007 or higher. The first thing you need to do is determine what the ColorIndex number for your Orange font is.You can do that with these steps:1 - Paste this code into the VBA editor:
Sub WhatOrange()
MsgBox Selection.Font.Colorindex
End Sub
2 -Find a cell with an Orange font color and select it.3 - Run the code4 - Jot down the number shown in the Message Box5 - Click OKOnce you have that number, paste this code into the VBA editor:Sub ColorMyTab()
For shtNum = 1 To Sheets.Count
For Each cell In Sheets(shtNum).UsedRange
If cell.Font.ColorIndex = 44 Then
Sheets(shtNum).Tab.ColorIndex = 44
Exit For
End If
Next
Next
End SubNow replace the 44 (twice) with whatever ColorIndex number you jotted down from the previous macro.Run the 2nd piece of code. One very important note:The only way that I know to find a specific Font.ColorIndex in a spreadsheet is to check each cell in the UsedRange one by one.If you have huge spreadsheets, with thousands of cell in the UsedRange, the code could take a long time to run. The code will stop checking each shet as soon as it finds a cell with a Font.ColorIndex that matches ... Read more

Hi,I have an excel file with 2 sheets:Sheet 1 has Real numbers of a business performance for the year X in range (D17:V113) and the variation vs Sheet 2 in % in range (Y17:AQ113)This variation cells in range (Y17:AQ113) change their color based on the intensity of the variation using conditional formattingNow the cells in range (D17:V113), which are supposed to be entered by the user, should adopt the color of its counterpart in range (Y17:AQ113) and for that I saw in another post that some VBA is needed. Then, I believe the code should look something like this:Sub MatchColors() For Each myCellColor In Range("Y17:AQ113") myCellColor.Offset(0, -21).Interior.ColorIndex = _ myCellColor.Interior.ColorIndex NextEnd SubBut the thing is that I am a total newbie at VBA and don┤t really know how to get that code running. You will have to check the settings for background.

Hi, I have just basic knowledge of Excel. This is what I want to do: If cell A1 turns yellow, then as a result cell G6 will also turn yellow. Is this possible? What would the formula be? and what are the steps to do it? Can it happen if one cell turns yellow on sheet 2, then as a result have another cell on sheet 1 turns yellow as well? Now instead of using yellow, I would use the good/bad buttons that turn the cells red or green. Thanks :)

Right now I have this really nice pic and it is over run with what looks like a unicorn came by and farted all over my start screen. I want a nice uniform look......not a peaceful background with a bag of skittles poured on it....

Thanks,

Geeve

Answer:Way to change tile color to all one color?

As far as I understand it, short of using Oblitile (free and rather awesome) to change tiles (some tiles aren't able to be changed via Oblitile) The color coding for icons is embedded in the icon. Since win 8 Microsoft has allowed developers to do the following:
Custom, full-bleed imagesA specified background colorThe option to show or hide the app name on the tileSpecified light or dark text color if you choose to show the app name

In the .xml files
VisualElements BackgroundColor="#FF0000" ShowNameOnSquare150x150Logo="on"
ForegroundText="light" Square150x150Logo="Assets\150x150Logo.png"

So in short, you would have to manipulate the code. This would seem a long and tiring process.

As you can see by this sneak peak at my start screen, via Photoshop I have created personalized tiles for my start screen and used Oblitile to do the rest.

I was playing GTA 3 without any problems on my old system, then a got a new one and well the game goes smooth, then its jerky and then all of a sudden its smooth again.
I use the games capability to play MP3's during game play that my old system never had a problem with, but with the current one sometime the audio (even the games built-in ones) goes a bit funny and skips like a scratched CD. (the actual CD is fine)
My old system was:

AMD K6-2 500MHz CPU
384MB-RAM (PC133)
Gigabyte GA-5AX Motherboard
nVidia Geforce 2 MX 400 Video
Creative "Something" PCI sound
Windows XP Home

My current system is:

AMD Duron 1.3GHz
256MB-RAM (DDR 2700)
MSI KT3 Ultra2 Motherboard
nVidia Geforce 2 MX 400 (the same card)
on board 6 channel surround sound (all but the front channels are disabled)
Windows XP Home

On both systems I am running GTA at: 640x480 32bit as thats all the old system could handle. I assume the new one should be able to cope with a lot better, but it doesn't.
Of course on the new system everything is cleanly installed, so I don't know where GTA is getting this problem from.

Answer:GTA3 Smooth, Jerky, Smooth....

Try running the game off a disk image using a virtual CD-drive. such as

http://www.daemon-tools.com/

see if this helps..

Also, you could download the cache tweaks from

http://www.startdisk.com/Web1/ubd/ubd.htm

left side of page, scroll down to tweaks link. Also, check what's running in the background. Any memory managers like cacheman or memturbo set to automatically recover memory will do this.

I have several Excel workbooks that each month I copy and change the names from the previous month to the current month, (ie Dogs 11/2011 to Dogs 12/2011) the worksheet has several formulas, vlookups, etc. For the cells that I need to update with current month information I change from the font color being blue to red so I know I need to input new values into the cells, once I input the new value I change the font color back to blue so I know they have been updated, I repeat this every month. Pretty much everything that doesn?t have to be updated is in black font.Is there a way that I can select every tab in the workbook and run a macro that will find everything with blue font and change it to red? Thanks!

Windows 7's default UI customization feature set is lacking and incomplete. Any apps that can solve this?

Personally, I would be interested in an app for Windows 7 that will allow changing the "glow" color around the text of windows' titles. Because I use a dark theme and the current unchangeable white glow clashes with my dark theme. I would like to be able to set that glow to black and my windows? title text to white.

Additionally, there is a permanent light blue tinting on a lot of the Windows 7 UI. I would prefer to set that to gray so it can fit universally with any color theme. Or better, be able to adjust the color of the tinting.

And then there is the green progress bar--I personally would prefer to be able to set that to a blue. Or better, be able to set that to any color.

Hello,

On my newly purchased Pro A200/PSAE7 the (hardware) volume control - front side, right from speaker plug - turns endless and when using it the volume does not change "smooth" - more "abrupt". Because of this there is no "fine tuning" possible.

Q: Does somebody else has the same hardware side (endless turn) and software side (no smooth volume change) situation?

Many thanks for any reply in advance!

Best regards,

Answer:Sat Pro A200/PSAE7 - Volume Control turns endless, no smooth volume change

Hello,

"problem" of abrupt volume change when turning volume control disappeared. I am not sure if this is based on disable "TDispVol.exe" as start-up service or another reason.

I would like to know what if statement to make so that the results are as follows: IF a1<a2 then either the color of cell a1 would change color of the font of the information in cell a1 wouled change color.

Answer:Color of cell or font color in cell change

An IF statement in a cell will not change the color of the cell or the font. You need to use Conditional Formatting or a macro. Conditional Formatting was designed for this very task.Assuming Excel 2007 or later, these fine instructions - stolen without permission from mmcconaghy - should work for you.1) Select A12) On the Ribbon, Select Home Tab3) On the Home Ribbon, click Conditional Formatting4) Click on New Rules, it?s near the bottom of the dialog box5) Click "Use Formula to determine which cells to format"6) Enter this formula: =A1<A26) Click on the Format button7) Select the Fill tab or the Font tab8) Select a Format. You can apply more than one format if you wish by choosing different tabs.9) Click OK10) Click OKConditional Formating is based on the results of the formula that is entered in the CF Wizard. Whenever the formula returns TRUE, the Conditional Formatting is applied to the cell. Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.message edited by DerbyDad03

Hi!I am using Excel to create a rooms inventory. There are over 2000 rooms. I have to keep a record of which rooms I have completed photographing. In one tab, there is a list of all the rooms I have done. I have organized it so that there are 45 columns, one for each floor. There are varying rows as each floor has different number of rooms. Originally, they were ordered from lowest to highest. For example, the first column is the third floor. The first value in the column is room 301, the last room is 384. Each day that I complete a room, I turn the cell green and then I sort the columns individually so that the "green" cells are moved to the bottom of the column and the unfilled cells - the not-yet complete rooms remain at the top. I tried researching this - tried conditional formatting and now hope there's a code for thisHere is what I want to do.I have another sheet, with the information displayed differently - more like a database of information about the rooms instead of a tracker like I had before. Each row has data about the room. For example, the room 301 has column headings such as "floor, type, description, etc. The last column/item for each for row/room is it's status - whether it is completed or not.Is there a way to make that cell in the complete column correspond to the room number in the first worksheet I described before (where it was just columns of rooms)I manually change the color the the first worksheet - the tracker sheet - and I would like to know if it ... Answer:How to change a cell's color to match another cell's color

Checking for a cell color is not easy in Excel, as there is no built in function. While using VBA does offer a possible solution, my VBA skills are just above nil.Additionally with Conditional Formatting, if you are using two sheets,it will only work if you use Defined Names. Each day that I complete a room, I turn the cell green and then I sort the columns individually so that the "green" cells are moved to the bottom of the columnOne possible solution is to use a dedicated column for Job Completion,it could be a Date cell or some other type, but that would at least give some typeof cross reference for the Conditional Formatting to possibly use.Something along the lines of:If sheet1 room number and ( sheet 2 room number and is completed )Might work, the Sorting may be a problem.MIKEhttp://www.skeptic.com/

Hi, is ther any way to change the color from this light blue to anything else ?

Because everything else seems to be fine, I try not to change the theme.

Answer:Is there a way to change the color ?

For changing the color on various things like the text in the message box or even reply window here once a new theme changes the default color layout seen with Windows you can manually tweak those through the Personalize>Windows Color>Advanced section when right clicking on a blank area of the desktop.

THe image there looks like the background like your desktop around the edges of the IE window. For seeing that in addition to the wallpaper with the transparency the "Application background" is the item to select. When opening a full screen program like a pc game you will see the change noticed right away.

When first applying a few new themes the only thing visible in any Windows Explorer window was the folder icons not even the names of the folders could be seen. The Advanced section is where to go for color control there.

I am very much just an average computer user, with below average knowledge on how to change settings.

I downloaded IE9 RC today, on my Windows 7, x64, Home Premium machine. My question is, how do I change IE9 RC's color? I would like the entire web browser to be black/charcoal but I have no clue on how to do this.

I use Chrome because of the many customized themes, but would love to start using IE, but I just can't get used to the light blue color.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Answer:How to change color of IE9 RC?

Hello Darryl,

Other than downloading and installing some custom Windows 7 theme along with a theme program that includes this, you could do this:Change the Windows Color and Appearance settings to be like this below to have black borders. This will affect all window borders though.

You could open Internet Options, then change the "Appearance" "Color" settings to be applied to certain areas of IE9.

Hope this helps some,

Question: Color Change

Hey guys,

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered. I've read a lot on this forum, but there's really too much to go through, and none of the search terms I'm using are bringing up the same issue (maybe because I'm not describing it correctly).

Anyway, here's my issue:

After setting the colors the way I want them via nVidia's control panel, Windows 7 is automatically changing them back after every restart.

When I go back into the control panel, my presets are still active and still right where I set them, but I have to again check the "use nVidia's settings" option.

W7 was automatically rearranging my icons and not allowing me to situate them where I wanted. That was a quick fix, however, and even a noob like me could grasp what was going on.

With this, though, I haven't the slightest idea.

How can I get W7 to stop auto-changing the color scheme?

With my old Vista, it would start up as a default scheme, but then it would eventually click over to my personalized color settings. With W7, it doesn't bother and I have to do it manually after every restart.

My Specs:

W7 Home Premium 64-bit
4GB RAM
1TB HDD
GTS450 GPU
AMD quad-core 2.9GHz
500W PSU

Thanks

Answer:Color Change

Hi

Welcome to Seven Forums
I think the issue persists because you are using Nvidia's control panel to conduct the changes.

The colors on my desktop icons and in AOL are grainy instead of solid. I get a message telling me I need to be running 256 colors but, when I change the display setting to 256 colors, press apply and then restart, it goes back to 16 colors. I've had the same version of AOL for quite some time and the color were fine until a few months ago. When the colors became grainy the drop down menus for the AOL toolbar turnedblack with visible text. They still work but I have to use a hit and miss technique to find what I want. Thanx, Amelie

Answer:Solved: 256 Color change won't take

Something has happened to your video card driver.

Open Settings>Control Panel>System>Device Manager. Tick the checkbox next to Display Adapters, which will show your video card driver. Double click on that, and a box will open up. It will say "this device is working properly" or something about not being installed or the driver needs updating.

Click on the Driver tab, and then Update Driver. Windows should know where the driver is and be able to reinstall it. If not, you'll have to point Windows to it. In ME it's probably in C:\Windows\Inf. Not sure about 95 or 98. Post back and let us know what happened. There's more you can do if this doesn't work, like download drivers from the manufacturer's site.

Answer:I can't change my taskbar color.

Hello Tortu, and welcome to Ten Forums.

That's not your taskbar. That's the ribbon in File Explorer.

Is that what you meant instead??

For the taskbar, the tutorial below can help. Be sure to turn on show color on Start, taskbar, and action center.

I remember in earlier versions of Windows, I could change the colour of the scrollbar but I cannot find a way to change it in XP, it just stays the same as the colour of the menubar. I have seen on some sites, that the scrolllbar is a different colour, with a lot of contrast to the other colours. This is what I would like to achieve. Is there a way to this?
take a look here, the color changes from your own settings, it is the author's colors

I'm making a Jeopardy Game. The board is 5 rows from $100 to $500 and 5 columns. I want to change the font color to grey or another color after I've clicked it to show the students they can't choose that option anymore after someone has chosen it. The excel spreadsheet is in a Powerpoint presentation if that matters.

Answer:Change color after 1 click?

This code, when stored in the sheet module, will turn a cell gray as soon as it is clicked.I don't know if it will work in a sheet embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. If it doesn't, I don't have any other suggestions because I don't know PowerPoint well enough to make this happen.

Hello everybody,
When I downloaded the trail version of Windows 7, I believe it was build 7100, I could simply edit the taskbar's color with:

Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalisation>Personalisation>Windows Color

I would get a menu with a slider, which could edit the color of the taskbar and change its translucency.

However, now I got the Ultimate version of Windows 7, whenever I press the window color button I get this popup box:

Am I missing something? Is my video card not good enough?

Answer:[Taskbar] I can't change the color

My system rating is 1,0. The worst rating possible. So probably windows refused to let me change these settings. Any idea to disable this?
