I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

We had a hard drive crash and bought a new computer to replace it..

New PC is running Windows 7 Professional and Office 2010
750 Gb HD
4 GB memory

The problem is Outlook does not send and receive mail unless you close Outlook then open it..

Outlook is only using 1 email account and it is setup for exchange..

I had trouble getting Outlook to connect to the Exchange Mailbox..

Finally after many tries and verifying everything was setup, like the other PC that works, I got it to connect to the mailbox..

Now when you first open Outlook it asks for the login and downloads the new mail, but never downloads mail again until you exit Outlook..

It does not get mail even if you hit the send and receive button..

The only way is to close Outlook and reopen..

We checked with our email administrator and he said it's nothing on their end..

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks

Answer:Solved: Outlook 2010 not sending and receiving from Exchange mailbox

Well we figured out that the problem was the mailbox had to finish downloading 4Gb then it started working and retrieving new mail..

Thanks

I'm using XP and Outlook 2003. I recently changed email accounts (from netspace to bigpond). Netspace kept sending and receiving for a while, then stopped. I deleted the netspace account, using the 'email accounts' wizard, but Outlook is still attempting to send and receive my old netspace account. I thought a stuck read receipt may be the problem, but no read receipts are showing up. So I'm getting continual pop ups saying 'Enter Network Password' while Outlook is open, as it is trying to connect to that non-existant account. HELP.

Hi - I am running Outlook 2010 on a Win 7 Professional 64 bit system.

I have been running basically the same configuration successfully for over a year now, with multiple email accounts. Everything worked fine up until this morning, when I was sending a series of emails with attachments. Each email's attachments totalled up to 6 mb, and the grand total of all of the attachments was about 24 mb.

Everything went smoothly up until my last email, and it just sat in my outbox and wouldn't go anywhere. I eventually sent it with a different account with a different ISP.

I have tried sending other emails on the same account, some without attachments, some with small attachments, but it appears that the account is "broken" for sending email. I can still receive email on all accounts and send email from every other account.

I have double-checked the settings for the troublesome account and when I use the Test Account Settings button everything appears to work fine as it successfully sends the test message.

I found a reference to a built-in limit for Outlook attachments of 20 mb, and ran the Microsoft fixit which removes that limit, but it had no effect.

One curious thing is that when I hit the send button, which places the email in my Outbox, the email does not have the italicized font which indicates an unsent message as was always the case up until now.

Any hints would be most appreciated -

Many thanks

Answer:Outlook 2010 Problem sending email from one account

I had a look at the Outlook add-ins that were active and disabled the iCloud and iTunes add-ins. Everything seems to be working at this point.

There was an iTunes update a day or so ago. During the installation Apple does not even mention that they will be messing with your Outlook installation.

Once again Apple screws up Windows applications.

I have Outlook 2010 on two PCs and use the Hotmail Connector to synchronise my contacts with my Microsoft Account (people.live.com).

I can create/delete contacts on any PC and at the web page at people.live.com and these will synchronise across all accounts. However, if I change details of an existing contact on the PC e.g. change the phone number) then this is not synchronised. If I change the details on the web page at people.live.com then the PCs do get updated. Has anyone any advise how to troubleshoot this problem to ensure that changes to contact details in Outlook 2010 are synchronised correctly across all accounts?

Answer:Outlook 2010 Not Synchronising New Details with MS People Live Account

I think it is a matter of how quickly, or how slowly in this case, the system recognizes the change.

Suggestion only.
After making the change as you described, give it a few hours then check if the change has been synchronised.

Hi,

I try to be strict about when I download email, so that I'm not interrupted by messages when I'm working.

I'm just trying out windows mail and I'd like to be able to send a message without having the software then automatically check for new messages. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I'm using a gmail account via IMAP

One AT&T account works on my iPhone and at AT&T mail site. The account does not work in WLM.

I have 3 AT&T accounts in WLM and two other accounts. When I open WLM sometimes I get a prompt to enter my password. This happens with about four accounts. One AT&T account does not accept the password.

I compared all the setting on the 3 AT&T accounts. The settings matched. I uninstalled the one account and upgraded to WLM 2012. The one account still is not working.

The message is "INTERNET SECURITY WARNING

THE SERVER YOU ARE CONNECTED TO IS USING A SECURITY CERTIFICATE'S CN NAME DOES NOT MATCH THE PASSED VALUE.

DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE USING THE SERVER?

Unable to send or receive messages for the Sbcglobal ( ) account. A secure connection to the server could not be established.

Server: 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC1A

Answer:Windows Live Mail Sending and Receiving

Resolved.

I upgraded WLM to 2012. Deleted the sbcglobal.net account. I added the account back. I continue to receive the same error message. I was prompted to verify password several times. The other sbcglobal accounts were working. The setting matched in all the accounts.

I deleted the E-mail username and password. I was able to access the account and all the old mail on the server was delivered to the account.

I'm sure I did it. My RAM was overloaded, so I looked for programs I didn't understand, tried to read their descriptions (in the "Settings" on the Task Master, and turned off a couple (that I can't recall). OK, dumb.

Now, Outlook 2007 stays stuck on "Preparing to send/receive" forever, with the dialog box either empty or full-green, but without doing anything. (I have 22 accounts, and all were working mid-afternoon. It's now 9p.m.)

When I go to each individiual account and ask for it to "send a test message," everything checks out fine, but nothing seems to happen in the "Outlook Send/Receive Progress" box.

Does anyone know which "Services" are required for Outlook to work? I disabled only a few, and only "manual" services like "peer" this or that...

Thanks.

I would recommend backing up your outlook profile and then deleting it.  Uninstall outlook and reinstall.  This usually solves any problems with being able to send/receive emails.  But before you do that....are you behind a firewall of any kind?

Can anyone help?

I haven't had any email since 6pm last night, and normally I get quite a lot. It doesn't look like there's anything wrong; I'm not getting any error messages and it performs a full and complete send and receive for each of the four accounts I have plugged into it (these are all from different POP3 providers too).

I sent some emails out to inline accounts I have and although it says they are sent and everything looks totally normal, they never get there.

I am totally stumped. Can anyone advise me on something to check? It worked perfectly for most of the day yesterday.

Thanks!

Hello everybody and thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure why my 1st post didn't work, sorry if this is a duplicate.

I have outlook configured with 4 different emails, through 4 different SMTP servers and they have been working fine for months.

Last night, after a 20 minute power outage, Outlook has been giving me the error below, regardless of which email account I use.

Task '[email protected] - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Any ideas on what got messed up and how to fix it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I have an email account with our company domain (call it domain.com) and until yesterday everything was working just fine.

Today I seem to have stopped receiving mail. I and others in my domain sent some test emails to myself and each other, both in my domain and not, & none of them have reached them, even though outlook moved them to my Sent Items folder.

I sent 2 test emails from gmail and they reached me, but no other mails have come through.

There are no error messages and nothing seems to be wrong. It would seem that there's a black hole sitting somewhere in my ethernet cable.

How do you create your account in Outlook? Exchange, POP, IMAP?

Are this the last PCs connected to account? Then you may have too many devices connected to this outlook account and you will have to delete some of old devices. This is valid for exchange connections. I'm not sure about the limit, but will check later.

Go to Outlook online and check the settings.

- enable integraton features on Virtual PC

So I’m using Outlook 2010 with Windows 10, and there are 2 POP and 1 IMAP account set up. I also have the same accounts set up on an iPhone. The People app in Windows 10 sees all 3 accounts, and syncs the contacts from all 3, but Outlook won’t sync any. I have iCloud installed in Windows 10. Also, there are several different address books showing in Outlook, such as Suggested Contacts, Mobile Contacts, etc. Is it possible to get all the contacts in one address book, and sync it with my iPhone, or can I get the People app to sync with Outlook 2010?

My husband recently tried re-installing Windows Live OneCare -- we'd had it installed previously, but he'd had to replace his hard drive because it crashed and then had to re-install all programs. We experienced a problem registering Live OneCare, so we were working with Microsoft Tech Support to resolve that issue. One of the steps that they had us try in troubleshooting was to download and run a registry cleaner. We were finally able to install Live OneCare -- still having problems registering, but that's an issue for Microsoft Tech Support to help us resolve -- but now Outlook on my husband's computer is unable to receive e-mail from our ISP's mail server. He can send messages just fine, but not receive them. The error message he's getting is 0X800CCC90. Does this problem ring a bell with any of you? Our ISP has been unable to fix the problem. This is quite frustrating. . .

Thanks for any suggestions you could provide. =)

Hi everyone,

I have two user in the office that have been having trouble sending or receiving their email using Outlook 2k. This just recently started happening.
When they open their outlook and press send/receive, they get a message that says:

Some messages couldn't be retreived from the server. This usually happens when the connection to the server is lost due to server or network problems. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

At other times, when they press the send/receive button, the button stays down like if it were stuck.

At first I thought maybe it was just office, so I reinstalled office but that didn't work.

Does anyone know what may be the problem? Could it be the network? I've noticed this morning that our network as been slowing down tremendously.

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it you all let me know? Thank you.

Answer:Trouble sending/receiving email in Outlook 2k.

I assume you're not using an Exchange Server as it would then not be necessary to hit send/receive.

I have a major problem with my email account in Outlook Express. For some reason I can receive, but I can't send. I've been in touch with my hosting company and they can send AND receive on their own computers, but I can't. Why not?!?

I shut down my Sygate Pro firewall, then disabled my Norton's for the purposes of testing and still I can't send. I keep getting this message ...

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'Honey's Home', Server: 'mail.honeyshome.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I have cPanelX running on my website, so I went in and created a new account and I can't send with that account either. It has to be something to do with my computer settings, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out, sigh!!

Can someone please help me with this? It's driving me nuts!!! Thanks!

Robyn.

This is an error from Outlook Express.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: edited, Server: xxxxx, Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I have checked all the pop3 and smtp's and all looks good, so I don't get whats going on here.

Hi All,

Since upgrading to Win 10 last week, I have not been able to send emails from Gmail in Outlook 2013.

It was fine in Win 8.1.

My email settings are

IMAP
Outgoing server requires authentication - is ticked
Incoming = 993 with SSL
Outgoing = 587 with TLS

All other setting as normal. When I run a test it comes back as good and will receive emails, but nothing will send.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

It seems that the only way i can fix it is to restart the computer. Sometimes (and i think this is related) when i type up and email and hit the send button, a box pops up and says "an error has occurred. The message could not be sent.

Any ideas? BY the way, i'm using Windows 98 and Outlook Express 6 i believe.

Thanks,
Steve

After installing several of the latest Windows Updates to XP SP3, OE 6 stopped sending & receiving (but IE 8 started to access the Internet, no problem, after being unable to do so following the previous set of XP updates!)Have tried disabling Norton Internet Security firewall, but it makes no difference: OE 6 still won't send/receive.Any possibility this might be malware-related? I'm stumped. Helpful suggestions welcome! :o)[When I say OE won't send/receive, the status window pops up, and shows 'Connected', with status of 'Executing' but never gets to 'Authorizing' for receiving or sending.]

I would contact your ISP"s technical service to see if the problem is at their end, after I tried deleting the account and setting it up again. You will need the password you established with your ISP and their address to do this. The ISP address can be critical, as an example when I had a similar problem my ISP has most of its customers use this address shawmail.shaw.net, I had to use shawmail.cg.shawcable.net in order for OE to work. Hi there,
I've been using IMAP for ages on my account.
Yesterday I used my webmail to rename and move a few folders.
However today on my PC the outlook folders are the old setup and have not synced or changed.
Do I need to do something to force that to happen?
I thought it would be automatic but apparently not.
thanks

I have Office XP Home Addition Version 2002 with service pack 2. For my email program I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 service pack 2 - Part of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. I've had the same OS and version of Outlook since getting this computer a year and a half ago. So...in the last week or so I realized that not all of the emails I was sending were being received. I tried emailing myself and although the emails showed up in my "Sent" folder I wasn't receiving the emails in my "Inbox". If I forward an existing email from my "Inbox" to my own address I receive it. My ISP is Cox. I tried sending emails from Cox Webmail (using the same email address but on the web) but they aren't received in my "Inbox" either. All the emails I send to others from Webmail are received (but not from Outlook). As far as I know I'm not losing any emails sent to me from accounts other than my own. MY ISP told me it was a software problem...not their problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey guys. I've been having some trouble sending/receiving emails with Outlook Express (or any other email client), and would appreciate some ideas/advice on what I could do to fix things. Basically, what's happening is that aside from a hotmail account I have, Outlook Express refuses to send/receive any emails. For example, with Yahoo, even though I'm a member of Yahoo delivers and have put in the correct POP3/SMTP info, it continually asks for my password (which I've already entered when adding Yahoo as a mail account to OE)...and then eventually gives me the following error message:

Therewas a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Error logging in. Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

It doesn't only do this with Yahoo, either...it does it with any other email provider I've tried that works with POP3/SMTP access. Except for hotmail, of course. I've even downloaded Eudora to see if it will work with that, and it does the same thing. This leads me to believe that there's something going on with my computer in regards to this emailing stuff that needs changing.

Anyone have any ideas? Any advice/info/help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I have Outlook Express 6, the latest version of IE,... Read more

My Dell laptop came with Vista Home Premium 32bit factory installed. I use Comcast.net as my e-mail server. I originally tried to install Office 2002 and had trouble with Outlook (as is well documented in these forums). I recently upgraded to Office 2003 and have finally got Outlook working without crashing. However, receiving e-mails from Comcast is on a several hour delay from when the message first arrives on Comcast.net to when it appears in Outlook. Sending messages however is stalled altogether. My Pop3 and SMTP servers are set up correctly according to Comcast but sent messages remain in my outbox indefinitely and I receive the following error:

Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x80048002) : 'This task was cancelled before it was completed.'
Task 'mail.comcast.net - Receiving' reported error (0x80048002) : 'This task was cancelled before it was completed.'
Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x80048002) : 'This task was cancelled before it was completed.'

Any thoughts???

Syncing Outlook 2010 with Windows Media Device Center.

Ok guy's if you are trying to sync Office 2010 64bit version with (WMDC) Windows Media Device center. You will end up probably getting this error message saying.

" either there is no default email client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the message request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client "

As in this image below

Well do not even waste your time as i did trying to go through MS's beta help section for an answer or workaround nor googling it or whatever or going through and resetting your default profiles and files. As i even tried that doing it on a per file level also. Well there is no workaround and it can not be done. It has been turned into MS and they know about it and it will not be fixed until the final release is out (at least according to what they have said so far)

The only way to do it as the WMDC does not recognize the contacts and will not allow them to be selected in WMDC to be synced. So what you basically have to do is. Just uninstall it as most likely it is the 64bit version and you have to install the 32bit version. For it to work for the time being.

That is the only way to get it to sync correctly and recognize the contacts no matter how or what you have set for the default client.

Hope that helps!!

I have a client who uses Office Outlook 2007 (which I recently installed over her old Outlook 97) for her email. It's been working perfectly for almost two months. However about two weeks ago, she realized the program will not send emails.

I've tried this method (and other variations of it following the same principle), but it has not helped. Furthermore, I've tried turning off Avira Antivir Guard to stop it from scanning incoming or outgoing messages. That didn't help either.

I would prefer not contacting the email provider unless absolutely necessary as I doubt this is an issue on their part. Could anyone help me get this working?

For the last couple of months, I've been having problems sending and retrieving e-mail via Outlook Express.  I'm sometimes unable to connect to the server even though I can browse the Internet when this is happening.  There?s no pattern I can figure out.  All might work fine.  Or the system might hang for 10-30 seconds before successfully sending/receiving.  Or it might hang so long that it times out.Because the trouble is intermittent, I know the e-mail account property settings within OE aren't the problem.  Because it happens with two different e-mail accounts, I assume the problem isn't with the hosts ? or with the ports.  (Because it happens with two e-mail accounts and incoming + outgoing messages, three different ports are involved -- 8889, 110, & 587 ?and I have periodic trouble connecting to all of them.)This problem seems to have started right around the time that I switched from Verizon DSL to Verizon FiOS and received a new router: ActionTec MI424-WR - Rev. E.  I persuaded Verizon to swap routers in case the unit was defective, but that didn't help.  Otherwise, Verizon tech support claims the problem must be with OE or XP ? and, in any case, as long as I?m connecting to the Internet they can?t help.Any thoughts?

Hello,

Here in the UK, Orange turned off their email address system. I have a GMail account and want to use this in Outlook 2007.

However, I have a POP account which receives but does not send. It is for this reason, I use the GMail account from which to send, but then make my Return address to be that of my POP address.

Anyway, GMail is an IMAP account and Outlook tries to send mail from the POP account as opposed to the Defaulted IMAP GMail account.

For Outlook 2010, 2013, etc, there are Registry fixes for this. I cannot for the life of me find a Registry fix for 2007. Does it exist, with instruction?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Win 7, Office 2007 etc etc.

Answer:Outlook 2007 - Make IMAP account default sending account

I have moved a few people off of orange over the last few weeks and then closed down the account on outlook 2007 and 2010

If you have the old orange still set as default account - change to the gmail account as default
also switch off the send and receive - not needed for IMAP

otherwise , not sure what you are trying to do

You can also delelte the account and the POP email will remain - BUT backup and test the PST file first

Hi all, I am just in the process of transfering all my info to new pc from XP to Win 7.. (well now Win 10 as it's just done the update), but when i'm trying to set up Outlook 2010 (I have the full MS Office Pro 2010), I have one account that will not receive emails on any other machine except my original XP.. I've got 3 email accounts set up on the new machine and can SEND on all of them, and RECEIVE on only two.. The send and receive box shows no errors and quickly processes all the other emails, but there is the one that will NOT receive..
I have both pc's set up in front of me and copied the info from old to new very carefully... I even had the other half check and enter again herself, but still doesn't work.
I've checked my ISP webmail and can see the email waiting there, just the other machines won't fetch it..
Oh, and i did set it up on another win 7 pc and didn't work and also on another XP machine, again no luck..
What am i missing? tell me it's something daft i'm missing..

Because I don't see a way unless there's some trick you have to do to make it work.

I have a new Dell running Windows 7 and have installed Office 2010. Initially I had no problems with Outlook in receiving emails, but was unable to import my previous emails from my Office 2007 on my old Dell running XP. So I used the Windows Easy Transfer method to transfer from my old Dell to my new one. All my old emails are now in Outlook 2010, but by 2010 settings changed and emails no longer arrive in their individual email address folder. I thought I had fixed this, but all my emails for each of my 5 email addresses are arriving in the Inbox, as well as their individual email folder. But worst of all, despite deleting emails I don't want, every time I open Outlook and the Send/Receive runs, I am now receiving all the deleted emails back again. So today I apparently received 141 new emails! Help! I have searched the Microsoft website but can't see a solution, and their only support option apparently will cost £199 - considering both the software and computer are less than a month old, I feel I should be able to get support from Microsoft, but since it doesn't seem to be an option, I am hoping someone in the Helproom can help. Thanks.

I have taken delivery of my lovely new Dell Inspiron i5 and have installed Office 2010. However, although I have set up my email addresses (4 of them), hardly any emails are arriving in my Inbox. I even sent one from work to my main email address and copied it to the others, and it only arrived on my main email address. I know I have received emails as I have checked using the Talk Talk My Account email access, and there are loads there. It has been suggested that it could be the anti-virus/security settings, but I can't see where it is stopping them. The computer arrived with a month's subscription to McAfee which I intend to stop using after the month when I will install Avast. Any help would be appreciated.
Whilst on the topic of my new computer, it has arrived with a bog standard keyboard which I hate (the keys are too close together for someone who touch types!). On my old Dell I had a lovely multimedia keyboard. I have bought a keyboard adapter so that it can be plugged in to a USB port, however, I am unable to type anything. Any help appreciated as I don't want to buy a new keyboard.

Answer:Not receiving all emails in Outlook 2010/keyboard not working

With regard to the keyboard, USB keyboards have a USB plug hard wired and may be supplied with an adapter to use with a PS/2 port. However, a PS/2 keyboard won't necessarily function when plugged into a USB port (via an adapter).
In Outlook, have you set up four separate accounts for your four different email addresses? If the addresses are actually "aliases" for one TalkTalk account, you may have to use four separate Usernames to retrieve messages for the alias accounts.
For example, if your main account login is "username" or "username(at)talktalk.com", you may need something like these for the alias accounts:
andy(at)username.talktalk.com
bob(at)username.talktalk.com
charlie(at)username.talktalk.com
...if that makes sense.

Am having some issues with Outlook 2010.

Program is locking up when first opened.

Icon on lower bar says " Outlook is syncing folders "

Sends fine, is getting stuck receiving 1 of 6 messages 7kb of 1.5 mb

Have gone into ISP mail portal & deleted all incoming mail. Looks to be trying to receive messages from couple days ago ?

I went off line & tried to delete a couple newer large ( 4-10 MB ) emails .

No luck deleting so when back online. Can still use the program somewhat.
Emails can be viewed , but not moved or deleted. Doing this will cause a premanent "processing" icon.

Still thinking those couple large files caused this & would like to find a way to delete them.

Other profiles in outlook work fine. Only the main default profile is freezing.

Thanks

Answer:RECEIVING EMAIL IN OUTLOOK THU GMAIL ACCOUNT

Try runing Outlook as an administrator. Which is odd. Are you logged in as an administrator or in a standard (limited) account?

I have 2 email accounts and recieve them both in outlook express. Suddenly no emails were received for the one account. When I delete saved emails (I have them archived and need them) and compact, I get emails so I think there is a quota or bin full somewhere.

The emails are not being held on my isp.

Any ideas please? I have no disc on this notebook so cannot download or backup the email files.

Desperate at present!

Answer:outlook express not receiving emails on one account

What happens when you send an email to yourself
at that account?

There is no "quota" for Outlook Express. If you signed
into your email provider's website and there are no emails
sitting there - then you haven't gotten any emails.

Hi,

Hopefully this is the right arena to post this thread in/under..
I recently purchased a AT&T branded Lumia 950, and running Production OS: 10.0.10586.164, and latest Firmware: 01078.00038.160025.39033, I'm having issues with Outlook.com email syncing and losing contacts in Outlook.com on the mobile device?

I only have two email accounts, Outlook.com and Gmail...all Gmail syncing of emails and contacts in fine, however Outlook.com takes time to sync, and loses contacts! I have done a lot of research...on this and see many 'Feedback issues' on this topic:
I have hard reset the device from a complete, clean install, and utilized the Windows Device Recovery Tool too...no Insider Program-either..still issues with Outlook.com syncing emails, but the contacts not syncing is quite troubling....I have not lost Outlook.com contacts like others have reported! I keep a relatively small, very clean contact list...all Gmail account contacts are fine as is syncing..

I reviewed where another Lumia 950XL user chatted with MS Customer Support and they suggested to create a new Microsoft account.....then sync all info, contacts, OneDrive, Skype, People app, however Microsoft accounts can not be merged.. I have a @MSN.com------>as my Primary alias, with a Outlook.com alias, but see no way to create a new Microsoft account, without losing everything....

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated....and apologies if indeed this thread is in the wrong category..

Answer:Windows 10 Mobile Syncing Issues With Outlook Account Emails/Contacts

Well, I see that the People app was updated yesterday for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile 10...syncing now seems better, however a couple of contacts (Outlook.com account) still do not sync/show up from my PC to my Lumia 950...no biggie as I just can't afford to lose a ton of info:
All Microsoft services, Office 2016, Skype, OneDrive, Contacts..so I will deal with it...lol!

'Note

If you remove an alias from an EASI account, that address will immediately become available to anyone else who wants to use it.

If you remove an @Hotmail or an @MSN email address, it cannot be recovered. '

Just for 'peace-of-mind', I have contacted MS Support (as they will have access to sensitive account information, and report back here when I receive a answer...lol

Hello Glenn,

We appreciate the detailed description of your issue. We understand how important for you to sync your contacts on different devices. Let's work together in solving this matter.

Just to verify, were you able to see your contacts list when you access your account via web browser (https://people.live.com)? Also, kindly provide us sample contacts that you cannot view on your mobile device but are showing on your People app.

We look forward to your response.

Regards,

I HAVE SEVERAL EMAIL ADDRESS AND USE OUTLOOK 2000. I SET UP A BUNCH OF ACCOUNTS AND SET THE OUTGOING SMTP SETTING FOR WHAT EVER DSL PROVIDER IS AT THE LOCATION I USE THE COMPUTER AT, AND THE POP3 FOR THE ACTUAL ACCOUNT I WANT TO CHECK, EVEN IF IT IS WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER. THIS MAKES IT SO I CAN REPLY TO EMAILS AND SEND EMAIL. IN ACCOUNT PROPERTIES, I CAN UNCHECK “INCLUDE THIS ACCOUNT WHEN RECEIVING MAIL OR SYNCHRONIZING” TO DISABLE AN ACCOUNT.

I JUST GOT A NEW LAPTOP TO USE AT A FEW LOCATIONS. I FIGURED I COULD SET UP DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS IN OUTLOOK FOR THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS AND SET EA WITH THE SMTP FOR THE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS AND JUST UN-CHECK “INCLUDE THIS ACCOUNT WHEN RECEIVING MAIL OR SYNCHRONIZING” AS I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST. THE PROBLEM IS, NEW COMPUTER CAME WITH OFFICE XP AND I CANT FIND THAT SETTING, DOSE ANYONE KNOW WHERE IT IS? IF I HAVE ALL THREE ACCOUNTS SET UP AT THE SAME TIME I GET THE SAME EMAIL THREE TIMES (YEA … A BIG DUH) IF I COULD EASILY DISABLE THE REDUNDANT ACCOUNTS THIS WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

Answer:Outlook Xp “include This Account When Receiving Mail Or Synchronizing”

XP uses some damn grouping thing. It sucks. I went back to 2000 because I hated that issue, and some others.

Try checking out the grouping option.

the add-in used to work. last week i clicked on "onenote" link on a contact window and got this error message: "The OneNote add-in cannot connect to Onenote. You can try to restart OneNote. If the problem persists, it is possible that add-ins are disabled by you system administrator."

Onenote can send tasks to Outlook. i have tried running both as administrator. (I am the administrator). I have uninstalled Ol and ON and reinstalled. checked to see that ON add-in is running in OL. have run "repair" twice.

I am out of ideas. are there services or reg entries to look at?

Hello,
I am having issues with Outlook 2010 mail, it seems that it is getting stuck sending 1 of 1 message however there are no messages in the outbox.  I ran the "repair" from control panel, Add/Remove programs however it still is doing this.  I thought I would run scanpst.exe and went to the :run" box and "Devmgmt.msc" was there.  I have not tried to run this, why would this keep coming up and or be there, even when I delete it.
Also, I was wondering if maybe I have a hidden message in the outbox...Maybe the case and also would like to know if Outlookspy would work for this.  I may have some sort of malware or virus however I did a full Malware scan (Malwarebytes Premium)and anti virus (Avast Free and Trend Micro Housecall, online) with no signs of infections..Not sure what to do next, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
Dean

I currently run Outlook 2010, I have already set up an email account. My problem is as follows; If I open Outlook, and wait till its fully loaded,i.e. its done a full sweep and downloaded any new emails, if I then try and send ( or even reply back to a new email, the following happens. I see that the Archives Outbox is bold and has a figure [ 1 ] ( in green ) this stays and stays and stays even if I close Outlook down even if I reboot, it is still there. If I try and send another one the same thing happens except the figure now changes to  [ 2 ]That was tried at 10:50  yesterday morning and its still there after I booted up this morning Please help Regards  Tony [recovering disk space, attachment deleted by admin]

Answer:Outlook 2010 not sending emails

I"m using Outlook 2007 so we have some differences.  Anyway, I'm wondering why you are doing current activity (new messages and replies to recent messages) in the Archives area.  Do you not have an Outbox under Personal Folders, which is outside of Archives?

I have 3 POP/SMTP accounts and 1 MAPI (hotmail) account configured. The last couple of days they are presenting problems because they will not allow me to send an email. I have tried sending one email from any one of the three to the other, or any other recipient and the error is this:

"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test
Sent: 2/7/2014 5:30 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

() on 2/7/2014 5:30 PM
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient."
Now the weird thing, this error message gets sent to the hotmail (MAPI)address almost immediately, which by my understanding, has nothing at all to do with the SMTP accounts. These accounts receive fine. Several resets, malware/virus scans no problems indicated.

I did notice that the TO: email address gets changed to "()"
