How can I get windows 7 sp1 to load a print driver that's compatible with the HP printer that's on my home network wirelessly. My laptop see's it, but won't load a driver?

Question: How can I get windows 7 sp1 to load a print driver that's compatible with the HP printer that's on my home network wirelessly. My laptop see's it, but won't load a driver?

I can't seem to get Windows 7 SP1 to load a driver for an HP printer that is on my home network. My laptop sees it but won't let me make it the default printer or load a driver so that I can link to it wirelessly. I restored my laptop back to windows 7
because Windows 10 was moving too slow. I only have 4gigs of memory, and windows 10 probably runs better with 8gigs of memory.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm working with a Dell Dimension C521 PC. It came with a PCI-Express video card which apparently has failed, yet the motherboard itself has on-board video. The system will boot using this video output (as opposed to the card which produced nothing) but when it finally gets to windows the auto-detect driver routine kicks in and begins to detect the video card, prompting the user to "Continue Anyway" to finish installing unsigned drivers. Unfortunately this event takes place in front of the installation of the USB keyboard and mouse (times like these I wish it had PS/2 ). Anyway, whether I boot up into Safe Mode or normal a prompt comes up about installing drivers for the on-board chipset. I can't interact with it because the driver install routine for the keyboard/mouse becomes interrupted.

Answer:Dell Dimension C521; USB key/mouse driver load interrupted by video card driver load

Bump. I've been thinking... the only way I think this can be fixed is if I boot from a Linux CD or something similar and delete a particular set of drivers for this video card. It can't prompt you to install any drivers if they don't exist, right? But I don't know where to go to delete such files and prevent them from automatically trying to install themselves. Any ideas?

I have a basic hp deskjet d1660. The file downloads fine, extracts and nothing. Ran Combofix, it found infections and resolved but I still can not load my printer. I have tried manually also with no results. I am running Windows 7 64-bit on a gateway laptop. Plenty of memory on this computer. I have an espon scanner installed no prob and the printer is loaded on 2 other laptops no problem.
Thank for any help.

Kim

Answer:Windows doesn't load printer driver

Combofix should be used as part of a malware removal process, not as a standalone tool. The probability that you are still infected with malware is extremely high.

I suggest you follow this guide to create a malware removal thread.

When using windows update I am given the choice to download an updated driver for my Brother HL-5040 printer. (Driver Version No. 01.60.00.00.)The download has been carried out several times but the instalation fails and I get the following message in the update log.Error IUENGINE Installing Printer Driver Brother HL-5040 Series (Error 0x800703E5: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.)See iuhist.xml for details: Install finished (Error 0x800703E5: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.)My printer has always worked well and doesn't seem to have been affected by this.I can't find the location of the current driver and don't know how to check which version I currently have. Can anyone tel me what the error is and how I can fix it/install the new driver.

Answer:Windows XP Printer Driver Update failure to load

You'd be better going to the Brother website rather than rely on the Windows Update Site click here If the printer works OK though why bother? They apparently posted a nVidia Graphics driver as a critical update. Great if you don't have an appropriate nVidia card.

Uninstall the card in Devices, reboot and see if Windows finds the adapter. If not you could pick up a USB wifi dongle on the cheap...

Working with a new laptop, Lenova Ideapad 510. Love it ! Migrated over my files, photos, installed Office 2010. I can print to my Canon MX922 using the Microsoft drivers. BUT, I cannot scan documents until I first download Canon drivers. Each time I do, I can download the exe. file and I can run it but then it stops with an error message. Canon Tech support thinks that there is an antivirus software blocking. All I have at the moment is Defender . They have no answer. Hoping you can guide me as you have so often.

Also, should I be supplementing Defender with anything else, like SuperAntiSpyware ?

Hello, I have a Windows XP Professional operating system and the printer is a Canon Bubble Jet BJC-4300. The printer was working and now it's not. I tried to reinstall the printer driver but got an error message "msn.exe unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because mscms.dll was not found" I found the missing dll file online and downloaded the mscms.dll file into system 32, then opened run and typed regsvr32 mscms.dll to activate the application. I got a message it was activated but not registered.?? When I tried to add new printer the wizard opens but cannot complete loading the driver because I am now getting another error "Printer driver was not installed. The specific color profile is invalid" Please help me fix this, I have novice knowledge about computers, so please explain in simple detail how I can fix this error so I can print again. Could I have placed the mscms.dll file in the wrong location????? How do I fix specific color profile????? I really appreciate any help you can give me to fix this problem. Thankyou, marlagx

Answer:Please Help!!!!!!! Cannot load printer driver!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2 cents. I used to have the same problem with the same printer model and eventhoug I have the original Floppies, Xp asked for the drivers; so I found them in Cannon's web site with no problem!!! They have comun files for different series, so choose the closest to this model.

I bought my mom a printer for her "new" computer. It was given to her by another family member, so it is not fresh from the factory.

Her computer is a Dell mini-tower with a P4/1.8ghz, 512 ram, and XP (SP2). It has four USB ports.

I purchased the Canon iP1600 printer. Followed the installation directions to run the CD and then connect the USB cable and turn on the printer. It would not recognize the printer was connected. I tried all of the USB ports and had no luck.

I bought a new USB mouse and it readily worked in the USB ports.

I downloaded the latest drivers from the Canon site. When I ran it, it recognized the printer was connected, but stated that it could not install the driver due to a data error.

Restarts did not change the results.

I don't know if it means anything, but when I tried to manually select the correct port the printer was attached to , it only offered the parallel and serial ports, not the USB ports.

Is there something simple I am missing?

Answer:Can't get printer driver to load

Run msconfig and select "launch system restore"

Select "create restore point"; name it anything you like. Then do a test restore to it. If the restore completes successfully, follow the rest of these instructions.

You want to remove and reinstall all present and "non present" USB devices. To do that follow the insturctions in this post:

http://forums.techguy.org/3435808-post2.html

Windows will normally reinstall these devices on reboot without any interaction from you.

However I've seen a few cases where this doesn't happen, and it may be at the root of your problems.

If you get prompted for a location to reinstall drivers from, point it to the location:

c:\windows\INF

(this is a hidden folder)

Reboot a couple of times after this completes; then remove and reinstall your Printer Software. If you get any prompts for locations to reinstall drivers from that are not satisfied by the Canon CD or other Canon driver locations, also point it to c:\windows\INF

Another problemWhenever I turn my printer on Vista has to re load the printer drivers, I end up with endless copies of the same printer in the printer dialogue box.Anyone know how to stop thisPrinter is an HP C3180 all in oneRoger

Answer:Re load of Printer driver

it might be that the hp c3180 has not been selected as default printer? Try removing all but the last entry in the list and right clicking and selecting make default printer. I am a bit out of my depth here as I am not a Vista user and find myself being excluded from helping people who are.

I was given an old hp deskjet 600c printer ('97). I went to hp website and d/l the driver on my newer computer and burned it on a disk.

I'm trying to install it on an old IBM computer ('96) running Win 95 (Can't get on the net with it). It does not recognise and try to install it when I boot. Normally all I do is put the CD in the drive, click on the icon for the driver I want to install and it installs.

When I do that for this driver, a box pops up that says it cannot create directory. When I click OK, it comes right back again. I keep clicking OK, and I can see on the install box behind this error box that it is extracting the files. A blue line is moving across the install box. Every time I click OK it moves a little farther. When it reaches 100% both boxes disappear.

I got the printer to work by installing the highest number deskjet listed in the Add New Hardware box (560c), but I would like to have the right driver installed. The driver that Windows is installing is prob 6.1, and the one I d/l is 7.0. I went back to HP website, but couldn't find anything specific.

I thought I might be able to update the driver after installing what Windows had, but I still had the same prob.

Would appreciate any help.

Answer:printer driver will not load in XP

Welcome to the board,

Check their website to see if they have released drivers specifically for XP. Like Win2k and NT, allot of the times drives must be custom made for XP, unlike the Win95,98,Me drivers where one size fits all. :D

I am having problems getting a printer driver to load.

I started having problems printing. The pages filled with garbage figured it was the driver so I uninstalled the driver now I can't get driver to reload. The install program runs and acts ok but never adds printer to printer folder.
I have tried to run add printer but it just can't find a driver even when I tell it I have a disk.

The printer is a HP DeskJet 1120C
I am running windows 2000

Thanks

Answer:Printer driver won't load

Are you sure you go through add printer with that particular model. If it's a part of the c series you usually just remove all the old software through control panel - add/remove, Reboot and use your CD software or disks??, and install the software. You don't have to add printer and run software.
Go back into add printer and remove everything but add printer icon, make sure you delete all your software for the printer and reinstall the software. It should acknowledge the printer on Reboot all by itself. We hope...Let us know...Jazz

I'm using XP-SP3 on a e-machine desk-top with 3.2Ghz processor and 1405mb ram. I had to delete the lexmark printer driver because it disappeared from this computer. I put in the original disc and started to re-load it, when a message came up that said the processor speed does not meet minimum requirements. It said it needed 800 mhz and I only have 4294967295 mhz(no decimals), and cannot load.
Anyone know what's going on?

Hello all. I'm at a loss. I am unable to get my Epson WF 3640 printer drive to load. It appears to be able to load the fax and scanner but not the printer. It was working a month ago and I've tried to delete it and reload. I've even wanted to reset my
computer to new to see if this works but have now found that I can't even access a lot of my 'settings' such as the firewall, backup and restore just to name a few. I saw a post here of the same problem getting an error of 0x00003eb and changed the file 3
to old. Maybe I just don't understand how to stop and start the spooler? I also get errors that my file 32 couldn't be located but when I go to the address it 'couldn't find' it's right there. Any ideas?  I hate to think I'll have to buy another computer
with this problem.  Thank you.

Got an HP 970cxi printer and running Windows 2000.

We have had this printer running just fine for over a year until we had to have it (the printer) serviced. We used the computer every day for the week while the printer was gone and when we reconnected it just a few days ago, the "New Hardware Found" wizard popped up after turning the computer on. Mind you, we didn't unload or reload the driver. We just disconnected the printer for a week and reconnected it again.

We have gone through the HP Uninstall process and removed the printer and all other printers and reinstalled the driver in an effort to remedy this annoying start-up of the "New Hardware Found" wizard popping up every time the computer starts; but, nothing helps.

It prints just fine; we just want to stop the annoyance.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) <-- This god for shaken message is stopping me from enjoying my computer.

The driver is MAT****A DVD-RAM UJ-861H ATA Device

And that up there is the error message, i havnt downloaded anything i just pressed the button on the cd/dvd drive and my computer shut down and when i turned it back on nothing it it worked.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Im practilly computer illiterate so please be easy on the big words and stuff =]

Answer:Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted

Please try the steps below:

1. Uninstall all third-party burning software, such as Nero and Roxio.

2. Perform a Clean Boot to test the result.

Clean Boot

========
a. Click Start, type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotations) in the Search Bar and Press "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility.

Note: Please click Continue if the "User Account Control" window pops up.

b. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
c. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
d. Restart the computer and test the issue.

Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of "Don't show this message" and then click "OK".

Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment. If the issue disappears, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue.

If the issue persists, please contact your computer manufacturer to check if the DVD drive is damaged.

If not, you may need to restore the system to its factory settings.

Hope it helps.

While in the registry I have found the upper filters on the right hand side. The only problem there is - No lower filters.

Could this be a problem?

Hi

If anyone could please shed some light on this please, it would be really helpful. I am not getting too far in my attempts to resolve this so far.

I purchased a cable which converts USB to parallel and it claims that on XP the installation is automatic as it used a built-in driver. Only problem is that it doesn't want to do that for me. Instead when I plug in the cable, the PC makes the usual "dong-ding" and it then tells me a new USB device has been detected and it opens up the wizard. It does not seem to find what it is after.

The cable does work on a friends PC without any problem, so the fault would seem to be with my hardware of software.

Hardware: Advent 4011, 2GB ram
Software: Windows XP Home, SP3 installed and auto updates are on.
More info at the bottom of the post from the TSGinfo program.

USB ports on the Advent 4011 can handle 500mA and other devices including webcam, broadband dongle etc all work ok. It is only the usb>PP cable that fails.

I have found the file it apparently should be using - usbprint.sys - and tried manually pointing the wizard at it - but I think it is wanting an .inf instead.

Any guidance would be really helpful please.

Many thanks
Guy
PS: I thought "XP" was a sensible tag but it is rejected as only two letters, I put "win xp" instead but doubt too many folks would search for that.

Cleaned some malware (lots) of a laptop, Windows XP sp3, Dell Inspiron 6000, and things were finally looking good. Then, after last reboot, all network connections depending on tcp\ip dissappeared from network connections. IPSec Service had an event in the system log about not finding the specified file.

I've searched, and can't find a fix. ipsec.sys exists and is same attributes as another functioning PC, and the registry key for the ipsec service points to the right file. But the driver just won't load, with error message "cannot locate the specified file"

Tried to roll back to sp2, thinking maybe something would get reset, but that just caused BSOD in any configuration that loaded with networking enabled (all but plain safe-mode). Got sp3 restored back.

I don't require IPSec, but the TCPIP driver has it as a dependency to start.

Any help appreciated.

Hello, I was deleting some old outlook 2013 files on my G7 to clear up some space. I also deleted Ad-Aware so I could download the McAfee software I purchased. After I downloaded McAfee, the computer restarted and everything seemed fine until I tried to connect to my wireless network. I made sure that my wireless was turned on (F-12) but for some reason I can't connect to the internet. I showed my computer to a friend who works as tech support for his company. He believes I must have inadvertently deleted a network driver.  I've been doing research on how to download the driver I'm missing, but now I can't even open up the Device Manager or Recovery Manager. It could be due to the fact that my laptop is old and slow. Either way, I'm trying to figure out which problem needs to be fixed first, or at all. I'm debating whether or not I should even bother with this thing anymore.  Thanks in advance!

Hya all i have upgraded windows 8pro and Rt to 8.1pro and 8.1RT everything went smoothly and is running very well however there does seem to be a problem with the Hyper V-networking miniport Default adapter driver Which states it cannot load and
gives me an error 39 Now from what ive read this is a very sensitive drive that could have been corrupted when i upgraded from the previous os but as yet i havnt found any solutions to the problem, can someone please help me to resolve this issue and or has
microsoft updated the driver for this device, any thoughts would be gratefully recieved.

Answer:Hyper V -Network miniport adapter driver cannot load error 39

Hi,
Generally speaking, the error code 39 means Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. You can try to reinstall it for test.
To add a network adapter in Hyper-v, I would like to refer to the link below for more details.

When I first received the laptop it had Win2000 pro but this was not a fully legal copy so since I had a copy of Win XP Home Edition lying around, I stuck it on it also with a dual boot with Mandrake Linux. However, I use the XP partition more for my learning needs so I have also installed 512Mb of RAM and everything is working fine.

The Corega WCLB worked great with Win 2000 pro however; I did need to use another programme to bridge the connection which was a Motive based programme which was part of ASDL kit. Since the major upgrade, I have failed at every attempt to install the card. I have tried all of the following:

1. Disabling the current Intel network driver whilst trying to install a new Realtek 8180 universal driver.
2. I have downloaded all the drivers and firmware off the Corega Home page but can not get the Add Hardware wizard to recognise the drivers or software.
3. Tried to change the IRQ of all the devices manually through the bios which worked but I could still not load the driver,

Apparently, the cause of this is because the Card Bus is not recognised by XP because its driver does not support a shared PCI interrupt as it should in XP. This probably explains why it worked so easily with Win2000.

There is a fix for this problem which involves adapting the HKR registry setting so that the s... Read more

Greetings & a happy new year

My issue ...[as per thread heading].

The strange thing is when I'm on other networks i.e. at the in-laws house etc. youtube loads and plays just fine, so I'm assuming it's not my laptop/software/browser etc.

To my untrained eye/brain (not a tech geek) it seems as there is a problem between my home network and my lappy (laptop connected via wifi or ethernet cable).

As stated if I'm at the in-laws it (youtube) works just fine.

Also my desktop (on my home network) can access youtube w/o any problems.

I'm really flumixed as to why this is happening.

Other sites that play :cough: :cough: movies work just fine, it's just youtube for some reason & only on my lappy when connected to my home network.

According to my AV (Kapersky) the lappy is free from virus.

Please advise.

PS - It hasn't always been this way, but I've put up with it for so long - I can't actually remember when it first started happening.

Hey guys what's up. I searched google and loads of forums and can't find the answer. I have this strange problem with our church's office printer.During installation of  konica minolta bizhub c353 Drivers, software finds my network attached printer, it locates it and shows me the ip address and port number. After installation I try to print to the c353, and it does not print. No error's from win xp and when I open print Que windows and print same document again, I see it's added and then quickly deleted from Que, I check the printer and it's not printed. I tried restarting print spoiler service and no help, I pinged Te printer over cmd and I got replies with 0% packet loss. I also tried prating from different computer on same network with same driver and it printed like a charm. But here is what I also noticed, when add a printer from same manufacturer but differed model and use tcp/ip address to the c353 printer,. And I print a test page or a color document, it prints all black and white. So what happens is when I use a differ en driver from same manufacturer the printer prints without color and I tried alot of models of printers and all printed black and white, but when I use original driver from konica minoltas site I can't print. All network settings are correct on printer and computer. I installed and reinstalled software and driver couple 100's times. And no luck.  Any help is great... Read more

Hi there,

I am trying to add an Epson XP-610 printer to every endpoints Printer Driver Store in our environment. Does anyone know a way to push a software package in the Print Driver Wizard so anyone can install it at their leisure?

The background of this is that this printer will only work on a specific vehicle that is on a completely different network. Adding it via IP through GPO isn't going to work so I need to stage the drivers and make sure the model appears in this list so individuals
can install it on their own when connecting to the printer.

Hello, various other people have posted this error (search function used), but noone has gotten an answer. Whenever i try to upgrade my sound driver to  4.76.0.0 / 3.54.0.51,be it manually or via system update the sound driver gets messed up. To sound icon in the taskbar gets a red X, the sound card in device manager gets a "!", and says "Windows could not load driver". In other threads people suggested the driver is not signed so Vista64 refuses to load it, however under Driver details it says its signed by Microsoft...  I would appreciate if someone could tell me how they got this driver to work on their 64bit machine, i'd like to enjoy the fixes and benefits of the new version. Thanks.

Okay so, my laptop's system is unable to boot, so I just tried to format it since I have to do that for a very long time, and when it asked me in which partition I want to install windows there was nothing, although when I clicked "Load Driver" I could access the hard disk's files, the hard disk IS listed in the bios normally but windows does not recognize it, I tried using Kaspersky Rescue disk(the only CD I had along with the recovery disk)and when I used the File Manager, the hard disk still didn't show, are there any drivers I have to install?I have burned both fujitsu
9that's my laptop) and Seagate's websites and can't find anything, I have searched forums but the only answers were
"check if your hd is listen in bios".So, it IS listed in bios but I can't reinstall windows nor access it, any suggestions?

Answer:No drivers found. click load driver to provide a mass storage driver f

Nevermind, I sent my laptop to a technician and he told me I burnt the hard drive by destroying some cables while cleaning with compressed air.

I am seeing several of these Warnings in the Event Viewer, Windows System logs. These are Event ID 219, Source Kernel-PnP.

That said, I am not experiencing any crashes, freezes, BSODs, and everything on my PC seems to be functional. So perhaps I can safely ignore these warnings, but I prefer to get to the bottom of something in case it will lead to problems in the future.

I have done some online research on this event, and none of the suggested fixes seem applicable to me. I have been vigilant in keeping all drivers on my machine up to date. I've checked, and there don't seem to be any newer drivers available for any of my hardware. I also have the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework service set to "automatic" startup.

The details of this event are below.

Any suggested action to remedy my problem? Thanks!

Hi there!
I'm in a desperate need of help.
This is the situation (sorry for my bad English as always...).
Yesterday I left my PC running with a download in progress through MiPony.I told the program MiPony (for the first time) to shut down the PC at the end of the download.Until then the PC had no problem. Before going to bed I checked the PC and I saw that it was offThis morning I turned on the PC and I glimpsed a sign that it was starting a scan (the only letter I saw was I:\) but I could not stop it.The PC is turned on regularly. Is your drive listed in BIOS? It could be a hard drive failure. No drivers should be needed for Windows 7.

I go to install and get hit by this message
"No Drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation"
When I click next nothing happens I have the to cancel the installation.

I have had a brand new motherboard fitted from dell and now unsure what model I have now.
Using Belerc Advisor this is what it says about my system, any help would be great:

Hi there

Some problems I had and that also BSOD alot was that the hard disc compability mode was set wrongly, if so you would not see the discs.

Check in bios for somwthing like "AHCI" mode and "Compability" mode.

Put it to compability as otherwise special drivers are neededm ones added you can swap this back to get more speed.

Hi -

Is this your system? --> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...=3870526#N1740

If link does not work, paste this into web browser address bar -

Code:

I don't see XP listed as an OS for it. What OS came pre-installed?

Is the copy of Vista a full retail copy? If so, back up any files you need and wipe the HDD with KillDisk. Then try Vista installation again.

Hi
I have just purchased a new laptop. I have 2 probs:

When i plug in the ipod shuffle it is not recognised. do i need to install a driver? if so, can i download the install?
i have loaded all my tunes from my ext HD to the itunes folder on my new laptop. however itunes then says it needs to convert them. this is taking hours and it appears to be duplicating the tunes. any ideas!?

thanks

Answer:Load driver for IPOD Shuffle on new laptop / migration problem

Question 1: might be something here: Ipod.
Question 2: Did you back up the whole of the itunes folder to the external drive? If so then just replace the new itunes folder with the backed copy, which is what I generally do.

Hi,

Since the 11/18/2012 event viewer (Event ID 219, Task Category 212) has been posting a warning:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN (followed by name of USB device)

It only occurs on start up if I have a USB memory device plugged into a USB port. The USB memory device functions perfectly and the error never occurs when I plug in and out a memory device after boot up.

The error only occurs for memory devices like memory sticks, external USB hard drive does not cause this error.

Checking back to around the 11/18/2012 I see nothing that I have changed/installed that might indicate something that has caused this. No other Windows 7 failures or issues.

Booting a second hard drive with windows 7 on the same system (I have this second installation for testing faults etc), the issue does NOT occur.

From checking forums and searching I have found a few others with this issue and a few articles on its cause

WUDFRd failed to load for the device

Event ID 219 is logged after you install Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

I was just curious as to why it would suddenly start occurring after a particular date when as far as I can tell I have not made any changes to anything around this date.

Also I wondered if there was a fix to stop this, other than removing a memory stick before boot up!

Any thoughts?

Answer:The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device... error

I just started getting this exact same error message logged in Event Viewer when I plug a USB stick into a USB port. It happens with two different sticks from two different manufactures, but it does not happen every time I plug them in. It seems that it may mostly happen the first time I plug a stick in after I have booted up my PC.

Have you been able to find a solution to get these error codes to stop logging?

This has been a problem for over a year now. 140+ identical PCs running identical images, with identical keyboards. Some have the problem, some do not, and it's incredibly unpredictable.

PCs are HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF running Windows 7 x64 Professional.

People will be working at their PC, hear the USB disconnect sound, and their keyboard will become unusable for 30+ seconds.

An Event with ID 219 is created in the Event Log:

Description:
The driver \Driver\kbdhid failed to load for the device HID\VID_03F0&PID_0324\7&3c64d09&0&0000.

For those affected, the frequency of the error runs anywhere from 10 times a day to once every few weeks.

Re-imaging the PC has no effect but that same image running on another PC with the same hardware can run without ever experiencing the problem. The system I use has not experienced the problem once in over a year.

I have rebuilt the image from scratch and pushed it out to a group of people experiencing the error. It seemed to resolve it for a few months and then the errors inexplicably came back. Hi bftdsh.

A stray crash dump is not enough. Click on the button below ....

It will download the DM log collector. Right click on the application and run as administrator. It will generate a .zip file on your desktop. Upload the .zip.

My PC started BSOD-ing a few days ago and now does it every few hours.

It starts with this error:

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Multi&Prod_Flash_Reader&Rev_1.00#058F63666471&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.

Then moves on to:

Then:
Installing printer driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070705. See the event user data for context information.

Then:

The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 1797 (0x705). This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.

Finally:

I was looking at my system logs today and found an error that is being repeated quite a lot and I would like to get rid of the darned error.

The error in the applications event loge is TrueVector Service, event 5003. The message in the event says:

TrueVector driver: Driver install or load failure: LoadNTDeviceDriver. Win32 error: The system cannot find the file specified.

I checked on the Internet and have found numerous resources indicating that TrueVector is a part of zone alarm. The weird part is that I have never had zone alarm or any other firewall installed -- Note even Microsft's within XP SP2. I have no references to Zone Alarm in my registry. My references to TrueVetor are in My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Application\TrueVector Service

Can someone suggest any soluton to getting rid of this event?

It worked for 5 reboots, so strange it reappeared

Been searching for days to find a solution for this problem (including fresh installs of Windows 10 etc), and today accidentally found it ... for my Asus Maximus V111 Formula at least, but it may also work on other motherboards

In BIOS, ensure that the XHCI Hand-Off is set to ENABLED (default is disabled)

I changed this, and now I can boot the system with USB devices inserted, and not get any Kernal-PnP warnings

Apparently, I am one of many who seem to be having this issue. And just like everybody else, I turned to Google for some answers. Here is my scenario (perhaps gregrocker could point me in the right direction?):

I am running on a laptop with the following specs:

Dell Studio 1735
32-bit Vista Home Premium, SP1
Intel 2 Core Duo, T8100 @ 2.10 GHz
250 GB SATA HDD, 5400 RPM
4 GBs of RAM
256 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
8x Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)

I downloaded the .iso image of Windows 7 through the software program at Penn State and burned it to a DVD. When I restart my computer and boot off of the DVD drive, I get the Windows 7 Installation interface. As the setup begins, I get an error message that says "Load Driver" across the top of the window, and says "A required CD/DVD Drive Device Driver is missing". I tried a few things to circumvent this issue:

1. I swapped out the installation CD with one of the CD's that came with my laptop that contains all of my device drivers. It found one compatible driver for the ATA/ATAPI Controller, and despite selecting it and hitting next, it didn't work.

2. I took the service tag from my laptop, downloaded each and every driver that it's associated with, burned it to an .iso, and swapped THAT out when I tried to install. Again, nothing happened.

3. I mounted the .iso onto an 8GB Cruzer and made a bootable flash drive. Upon trying the install again, I had the same problem.

4. I tried to bu... Read more

Answer:Load Driver: Required CD/DVD Drive Device Driver: HELP!

Try extracting the ISO to Vista desktop to run Setup from there.

You can locate the driver in Vista's Device Manager SATA controller Driver info tab.

The fact that it would duplicate the error for USB flash install sounds like a malfunction.

Try removing 2 gb of RAM.

Check BIOS version to see if you have the latest.

Checksum the HASH of the ISO you downloaded to confirm it here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/0...vd-iso-images/

Full event error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device {C5A047D8-CB5B-40E9-B9E3-316AB06B5A18}\WirelessKeyboardFilter`

Driver environment:
Windows 10 x64 desktop
I have a wireless Microsoft mouse
I do not have a Microsoft wireless keyboard
I have the associated transceiver that should work for both (if installed)

This problem started when my Microsoft wireless mouse driver was updated to version 1.0.102.0 (dated 3/16/2016).
This driver update also appears to be responsible for a few other device errors as well:

I believe this new driver assumes you have a wireless keyboard (without checking) and just tries to load a driver for it.

My temporary fix is/was to rollback the driver to the previous Microsoft version 10.0.10586.0 (dated 6/21/2006):

Anyone else run across this condition or have a known solution using the latest driver?

Thanks,

At Windows 10 startup this Warning appears in my Event Log as Event ID: 219.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{a1c931b2-3b00-11e5-9c14-806e6f6e6963}#0000000008100000.

I know why this happens. The device in the message is an internal SATA AHCI hard drive. All AHCI drives, even internal ones, are considered removal or hot swapable. It even causes the safely remove icon to appear sort of like it was a USB drive. It happened on Windows 8.x. Don't remember if it happened on Windows 7. I can't make any changes in my BIOS to make it not hot swapable as there is no option for this drive.

The fix to get rid of the message in W8 was to modify the Service 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' Changing the Startup type from Manual to Automatic fixed the problem. However, on Windows 10 this method does not work.

I can't disable the Service as it's needed for other devices. Just wondering if anyone found a nice clean way to get rid of the warning message like in W8?

In the device manager there is a Symantec Network Adapter that isnt functioning because "windows cannot load the drivers for this device" . I have been ALL over the web trying to find this device but cannot find anything even remotley close. Its an onboard device from an Intel motherboard, dont know if that makes a difference or not. I also have been trying to connect this pc to the internet and it will not connect to the server. I installed a wireless adapter, which says its connecting to the router and the internet, but it will not display any page though firefox or IE. I made sure the HTTP HTTPS and FTP ports were open.. all the IPs Gateways and all line up fine and even ping fine in the command prompt. Net View in the comand prompt runs fine too.

Is this from that adapter not working?? I cant figure it out at all. Any help would be greatful. Btw, this is a friends pc I am working on, so i dont have much history accept she opened a spam mail and could no longer connect to the net though any programs. I ran a virus scan and nothing came back. cleaned the registry with CCleaner, ran spyware detector and nothing came back the usual stuff. Any ideas?

Answer:Windows cannot load driver?

Hi

If its a Symantec Network Driver that is missing then best option as its likely that that PC has Norton Antivirus or Security Suite installed to re-install Norton again as that driver is likely part of its firewall defence.

but Uninstall Norton first and run this removal tool, then run CCleaner to remove any old temps and junk, then try the internet again, if it works then great if not do let us know and also let us know what the model of PC is if a DELL, HP etc or if a custom build let us know the Motherboard make and version.

Then install Norton again and make sure the network is allowed throught he firewall.

Other thought if the spam email has added some sneeky malware to this PC it to run this guide and post a new thread in malware forum to have the guys in their check this PC out for malware.

My PC sometimes takes ages to boot, like it's looking for a missing driver - then it eventually times out and boots windows. I go to the control panel list of hardware and there is a little exclamation mark next to a "Multimedia Audio Controller". I produce music and there's three pieces of kit that may need one

Now, all my multimedia audio controllers' drivers have loaded:

My Soundcard
Midi interface

The only one that doesn't show up on the hardware list is a midi controller / fader box thing. But it works absolutely fine, it is recognised in the USB Unplug / Eject hardware thing in the systray and I've pointed to its driver when trying to update the one that Windows says is missing. So I'm certain it's not for the midi controller.

If I don't know what piece of kit the driver is missing for, how can I update it? Windows searches for one and hasn't got it, and it doesn't give me a clue as to what it is. I disable it but every time I boot it says "Found new hardware" and it looks for a driver.

I have re-installed soundcard drivers with latest version and still no luck.

One theory I have: my motherboard comes with onboard sound Ė could the computer be trying to load this or something???

I have an older system, but it's a nice setup featuring Gigabytes EP45-UD3P, Q9550 CPU, 8gb DDR2 OCZ platinum, dual 1TB of Seagate hard drives, and EVGA GTX 295 graphics card.

I turn my machine off, and the machine refuses to display. I get to the windows colors screen in Win 7 Pro, and once it proceeds to load the desktop the screen goes black without a cursor, and that's where it stays.
This can be corrected by me reloading the Boot record when turning the system on, however upon powering the system off it does the same thing till I instigate another boot record repair.

I've replaced the hard drives, and CMOS battery. I tried starting the system in safe mode, and it loads fine. I then narrowed the issue down to Win 7 not loading the video driver on startup.

Does anyone know how to correct this issue?

Thank you.

Hi

Windows networking message displays at boot "Your network adapter FE575C-3Com 10/100 LAN CardBus Fast Ethernet is not working properly."

The control panel Device Manager:Network adapter:FE575-3Com 10/100 LAN CardBus-Fast Ethernet Properties tab displays "Device status: This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. (Code 10.) Try upgrading the device drivers for this device."

Re-installing the driver (v 2.91), copyfiles displays message "the file addem900.txt was not found'. We manually load this file from c:\windows\system. Update Device Driver Wizard displays "Windows has finished installing an updated driver for your hardware device."

But on reboot the windows networking error message reappears.

The hardware is a gateway notebook Solo 5300 running Windows ME. Until we attempted to install DSL, we never used ethernet. The ethernet driver was not preinstalled by Gateway; this we had to do ourselves. Also, the ethernet port came plugged with a lid which had to be pried out.

What's up? Thanks. -dovidls

Reasons for this error include a driver that is not present; a binary file that is corrupt; a file I/O problem, or a driver that references an entry point in another binary file that could not be loaded.

I just got my new computer a few days ago and I've been downloading the usual drivers, updates etc. for it. The graphics card is GeForce 6800 GT, so I downloaded the latest driver (61.77) from www.nvidia.com. This worked perfectly until I found out there were further "updates" - and the stupidity of what I did should become apparent now - located here: http://3dchipset.com/drivers/beta/nvidia/nt5/index.php.

Following the flimsy advice that I found on another forum site, I went for the 62.20 download. I can't remember precisely when things went wrong after this, but I think the next two or three restarts were successful.

The current situation is: I switch on the computer - it gets as far as the screen where it says Windows did not start successfully. There is a 30 second timer counting down, and the options are:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration
Start Windows Normally

The first three options start a series of lines down the screen which read "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\Syste m32\DRIVERS\" and then after "DRIVERS" there will be a *.sys file, e.g. ACPI.sys. After the last line the computer freezes.

"Last Known Good Configuration" makes the screen go black and it stays like that. "Start Windows Normally" freezes the screen, including the timer, and it stays like that. The only options from here are the power on/off or reset bu... Read more

I have an HP Pavillion 7915 machine that I bought used. When I got it it was running Win-XP but I "downgraded" it by reformatting the drive and installing Win-98SE. (I had a good reason.) Everything is fine except that I lost the sound. The specifications for the machine on the HP web site identify the sound device as "Realtek AC97 Audio". The
device manager does show a problem with the sound card, and shows the following error message:

NTKERN.VXD, MMDEVLDR.VXD device Loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver (Code 2).

I realize that this is a very common problem, and have done a lot of trolling around the net for information. Based on what I've learned, I have checked all of the following, to no avail:

Checked that I have the most recent available driver, and that the file I downloaded is compatible with Win-98SE

Verified that I have the most recent version available for the BIOS

The driver apparently needs Direct X ver-8 or later, I have ver-9.0c on the machine.

Ran the Windows System File Check utility to check for missing or damaged system files. No problems found.

Verified that all of the driver files identified in the "driver details" list in the device manager are actually present on the system.

Removed and reinstalled the driver several times.

So, what else is there left to try that I haven't thought of?

Answer:[SOLVED] windows won't load after driver update- xp

This is the reason it is best to get the driver from the manufacturer website. Most Driver Finder software will recommend incompatible drivers.

I see no beneficial reasons to using Power Suite software.

Boot the PC into Safe Mode. Once logged in run a System Restore

Restart the PC > repeatedly tap F8 during boot > at the Advanced Options choose Safe Mode

When I try and install the update for my video driver and the latest Windows update (Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130), I get an error message saying: "Windows could not load installer for display. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance".

Also (and I don't know if this is related or not, I am unable to view "properties" from my desktop or to change screensaver/background themes from the control panel).

From googling the error message, I suspect that it has something to do with my video driver but I'm not certain.

I'm not sure what specs you need re: my computer. Here are the basics, if you need more, let me know.

Answer:Load Driver Error while installing windows 7

Very difficult to get Windows 7 working on a Skylake (6th generation Intel Core) platform. Are you trying to install from a usb thumb drive? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_zPIGrFypI

I've decided to try and format my laptop today, however I have a frustrating error that keeps occurring and I don't really know what to do.I have an ASUS U43JC laptop. When I purchased the laptop, it didn't come with any CD/DVD's.I've tried to install some of the drivers from the ASUS website, with some of them saying I needed to download the x64 version because what I had downloaded was x32 (even though I'm pretty sure I downloaded the x64 file...)There's one file that I had downloaded, yet I'm not sure what to do with it; it's called U43Jc.216Anyhow, this is the error that pops up when I'm trying to reinstall Windows 7:A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Note: IF the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step.Any help would be appreciated!

Answer:Reinstalling Windows 7 - Load Driver error

Why are you formatting? That system should have a factory restore-to-defaults mechanism.

Where did you get the Windows 7 version you are attempting to install?

After a few days, I plugged in my USB "Kingston Data Traveler" flash memory and Windows doesn't recognize it & says "No drivers are installed for this device." I have installed two programs since this last worked fine. Any suggestions are welcomed - thanks.

Answer:[SOLVED] Windows USB Driver Fails to Load

Hi u01545n and welcome to TSF !

Make sure you have SP2 installed. You can find out by going to start => run and typing winver or by going to your system properties (windows key + pause/break key). It's also advised you go to Windows update and make all latest critical updates.
