Preferred Solution: Webcam and intergrated webcam not working after latest upda...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Recently my webcam has just stopped functioning. This laptop is brand new however and I just got it on the 14th.
I have no clue why it wont' work anymore. I checked under device manager and under Imaging devices its called "facap, FastAccess Video Capture".
I enabled it, for some reason it had become disabled, and it wouldn't work. And it seems no Driver updates are available. Also have tried reinstalling the driver but it didn't work. I then uninstalled the old driver and tried to install the driver and it failed. So I used Windows Restore Point feature thing. Now its just disabled.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Answer:Webcam Not Working. Alienware M17X, Intergrated Webcam.

I found my solution!    Though... it kinda is a "Doh!" kinda thing.
Apparently FN+F9 will enable or disable the webcam!
It seems that I had done this inadvertently at some point and turned it off, and while messing around for a solution the other day, II tried the combo it turned back on the webcam!
Quite a powerful key combination I have to say if manually enabling the web cam and reinstalling the web cam driver don't do anything.

I used to be on Vista but now on Windows7 and webcam doesn't work without going onto skype or other. No icon like there used to be.
I still have the cd for the software that came with laptop but it's for Vista.
Would this still work or would i have to download software for Windows7?
Or would it be better just to buy a plug and play

Answer:what to do about intergrated webcam

Make and model of laptop may help.
The webcam obviously works but you need to know how to launch it separately.

Hey, I have a Dell Inspiron 1546 with 64-bit Windows 7.

The problem with the Dell Intergrated problem seems to be a common one, I have tried many fixes and I have managed to get the software required to use it I am just missing the Webcam driver.

I do not understand as my computer appears to have the driver, and it could not find any updates for it.

I have used the Dell Driver and Utilities CD, but nothing seems to work.

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks.

Hi

my laptop specifcation here : ( [A300 - 1G5|http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=EU&com.broadvis ion.session.new=Yes&PRODUCT_ID=1055589] ) for any needed details ..

The problem simply is, the webcam stopped working for some reason, an error messeage says "Webcam driver open fail. Please restart camera or computer".

I noticed that whenever I put the computer in sleep mode I was getting on the icon tray a notification says "USB device unrecognized"... I wasnt aware what it was - thought it becasue of the USB mouse being plugged... but I think its related to the camera...

software is installed but camera is not working and cant enable it .. I did download the latest driver from toshiba site , but still not working ...

Currently my laptop runs Vista HP SP2 32-bit, Windows defender enabled, Windows Firewall Enabled, Windows UAC enabled, Kaspersky Ani-Virus 2009 Enabled. I only use Windows Live Messenger (which up to date I think , version : 14.0.8089.726) which i used camera with, I quite using face recognition long time ago and rarely use the webcam ... I didnt install or update any drivers and used to have the laptop running perfectly..

So what happened now ?!

Answer:Satellite A300-1G5: webcam stopped working - Webcam driver open fail

Hi

I have had a similar error message and could solve this by disabling the webcam software from startup.
In msconfig -> Start Up tab I have unchecked the Chicony webcam software.
This prevents it from automatic loading.
I don?t use MSN but Skype and the Chicony webcam software is always disabled (not executed) if Skype is running.

Maybe you should try this too.

Furthermore you could try this:
Go to device manager, mark the webcam (imaging devices ? USB video device) and deleted it from the device list.
Then reboot the notebook and wait until the webcam has been recognized again.

Then test it.

After looking through this forum, I have tried several 'solutions' but to no avail.

After trying to load the webcam i get the message: "Webcam driver open fail. Please restart camera or computer"

I have tried updating the Driver software for the camera, and updated the BIOS.

This message still keeps coming up. Is it worth uninstalling the camera completely then attemtping to reinstall it?

Sorry if some of this doesnt make much sense, im not entirely "computer savvy"

I hope somebody can help,

Thanks,
Ben

Answer:Satellite A300-1MC: webcam not working - webcam driver open fail

> Is it worth uninstalling the camera completely then attemtping to reinstall it?
Of course!

You should firstly go to device manager and should uninstall the driver.
You should also remove the software from control panel -> Software

After that you should clean the OS and registry using CCleaner. It?s free tool? google?
Then reboot the notebook several times and install the webcam software again.

I've owned this laptop for quite a while and had been using Webcam Central to control the Integrated Webcam on my Alienware M17x R4.   I never had any issues using Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or even Windows 10 until my system updated on 8/20/2016 with a scheduled Windows 10 update.
After the windows 10 update my system restarted and the next time I went to use my webcam I noticed that I couldn't control the pan / zoom / or tilt or alter any of the settings in webcam central.  If I attempt to change anything it automatically changes back instantly.  For example of I move the slider to zoom, or attempt to change the pan, it auto goes back to where it was and will not allow me to change the settings.
I also notice that my mouse pointer flickers over the webcam central GUI, meaning, there seems to be some issue with the GUI after the windows 10 update, I assume is also whats causing the settings not to be changed.
I have tried uninstalling both the drivers and software and reinstalling to no avail, same problem is present after reinstallation of both drivers and the webcam central software.
Wondering if anyone else has run into this and whether there was some type of resolution.
I was able to get the pan / zoom / tilt working with 3rd party webcam software, however I would prefer to go back to using webcam central.

I got a new laptop(Windows 7) a couple of months ago. Everything's been running smoothly. I use the XPS for everything. School, gaming(which is a major portion of the harddrive).

A couple of days before Christmas my webcam started messing up. My webcam went black on the MSN screen, but the light was still on.

I've tried common solutions, disabling the webcam, uninstalling and installing the driver and nothing works!

Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you!

My computer is fairly new...that's why this issue is driving me crazy! I use skype and messenger a lot because I'm currently stationed in Europe. When I first arrived everything worked great. Then, the voice went out on Skype so we started using Yahoo messenger..then the camera went out on messager...I went and bought both an external webcam and microphone and neither would work at the same time but every once in awhile one would work. Currently I can get voice on skype and that's it. Skype doesn't even give me the option of a webcam anymore and when i try with messenger it says no connection found. I have been having issues getting the intergrated webcam on my ThinkPad T520 to work with any Flash Player based sites when I am using IE. It works fine from Firefox and Chrome but for some reason IE will not work. I am using IE11 so cannot roll back Flash Player to older version to test this. The webcam drivers are up to date. I tried uninstalling them and reinstalling with same issues. Webcam works with non Flash Player websites with no problem when using IE. When I plug in a USB webcam I can use that Webcam with no issues in IE on these Flash Player sites. I have ensured that I have the Shockwave player Plugin enabled and when I get the pop up from Flash Player  setting to allow it. Nothing I have tried has seemed to work. I have tried this on my Acer computer and it's intergrated webcam works fine with IE11 on these Flash player sites.I tried this from multiple ThinkPad T520's here at work with same results. I thought it might be our network but my personal computer worked without a problem on the same network. Please help.

To save agony for fellow IBMers, be aware that if you use System Update to update to the latest driver for the webcam, you may find yourself unablke to use Sametime 9, both standalone and integrated in Notes.  Smartcloud also crashes (disabling sound).  You can roll back to the previous webcam driver to fix this.  I use SUT and I don't know if this issue only affects SUT users.  Anyway I hope this helps, and also if anyone in Lenovo that can help is watching this, please be aware of the issue.

Hi,

Any suggestions how can I fix it. Is there any way to revert to previous BIOS?

Hi

Is the webcam listed in the device manager?
Can you see any webcam entries (Image Device - Toshiba webcam) in the device list?

Please check this since the webcam device should appear even if the webcam driver would not be installed.
In such case you should see an unknown device

I have a Satellite M305d-s4830.
My PC's operating system is Vista 64bit.

Cam and mic were working fine until one day the camera assistant software started showing a messagebox saying that: "Webcam driver open fail. Please restart the camera or computer."

Since then I tried everything that comes to my mind, but I think neither the cam nor the mic appear in the device manager. I also have the recovery disk for Toshiba.

What am I supposed to do?

Thanks in advance

Answer:Satellite M305D-S4830 - Webcam driver open fail - Now webcam & mic does not work

Hi

> Since then I tried everything that comes to my mind, but I think neither the cam nor the mic appear in the device manager
Hmm? you mean the cam is not listed in device manager?
Neither an unknown device nor near a yellow exclamation mark?

Sounds like hardware issue? but try to recover the notebook using recovery disk.
If this will not help then it means that there must be something wrong with the cam?

I read in the net that some people had a similar issue.
The webcam worked when opened the laptop lid only halfway.
But webcam disappeared when the lid has been moved up.
Possibly there was an loose contact between the cable and cam?
In such case the ASP technician should check the notebook?.

The Portege M800 Win 7 drivers are available on the Toshiba European driver page.
You will find also the Win 7 64bit Webcam driver 1.7.260.0526

Please remove firstly the old driver, then reboot the unit? clean the OS using CCLeaner? reboot the unit again and then install the Chicony webcam software.

Hi

Are you using the Toshiba preinstalled OS? Is it Vista or Win XP?
As far as I know Vista needs Sp1 and other MS updates in order to handle the 3rd party software and drivers correctly.

I?ve got internal webcam and I?m using in with Vista and Win XP.
I have removed the webcam software from startup in msconfig.
This prevents the webcam from automatic startup while windows booting?

Hiya,

firstly I am not sure if this is a warranty issue, but I always seem to be geting in post the closure of the offices at the moment.

The new laptop seems to occasionally play up and suggest the USB device not recognised.
On top of this the webcamera is not listed in the hardware settings.

I have tried re-installing the webcam drivers, but although they install ok the computer cannot actually find the webcam, i.e. its not listed in system devices, and forcing Vista to look for the camera does not result in any luck. (the microphone adjacent to the webcam works fine).
Every time I start the computer it now tells me I need to restart the webcam or the computer.

I am running Vista 32 bit, the 250D being a 1.9Athlon core duo with 2GB ram and definetly comes packaged with a webcam (I do seem to recall the little blue light coming on early during setup but never again since).

Is it worth doing a hard re-install, although Windows is normally pretty good at picking up new hardware surely??
I have had a look at the other webcam issues but the drivers are no good as I cannot actually make the webcam do anything.
I have been onto the Warranty page but trying to enter the Serial no. it says it doesn't exist.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Jason

There's a problem with my G580 involving the webcam indicator and the webcam in general. I had installed a bigger harddrive and reinstalled Windows 8. Whenever the computer goes into sleep and wakes up (from being idle) the webcam indicator light will stay on forever until I reboot. Letting it sleep and waking it up will recreate this issue. I tried it out on a store model and it did the same thing.  Is there not a fix for this? Also, when uninstalling Lenovo EasyCamera, it reinstalls on boot up. Is there anyway to disable the webcam completely and kill the drivers? Thank you. Fresh windows 8 install. Lenovo drivers that are installed consist of the Audio, Graphic and battery drivers.

Answer:G580 problems with webcam indicator / webcam drivers in general

Hi z888,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Lenovo Community,

I?d like to confirm to you that having the indicator on is normal and not a problem,

But if you?d like to disable the Camera kindly be sure that you?ve installed Lenovo Power management for windows 8 and check the below link for the software if you don?t have it:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032506

And then please press on Fn and ESC buttons together at the same time to disable the Camera,

Another way to disable the camera drivers as you can open Device manager windows and underneath Imaging Device and you disable it or uninstall it.

Hope the information helps. Let us know.

Regards

Soha

I was mortified when I recieved this message on a laptop that was barely used but was now over one year old. Troubleshooting steps on Lenovo's site ended up referring to repair shop.   I watched a few video's on how to service the LED LCD display and looked over the service manual to find a solution.  Disclaimer Note: I take zero responsibility if you do this and fail or damage something. My unit was out of warranty and I have a lot of experience inside these things. So what works for me, may not work for you. 1. Completely shutdown the computer.  The machine must be totally shutdown and not in a sleep mode.2. Unplug AC/DC power adapter3. Removing the bezel around the LCD display was easy.    -be very gentle prying this off with your finger tips from the inside lip and don't put any pressure on the LCD screen. Any pressure on the LCD screen especially the bottom edge can cause damage.    -start at the top center of the bezel and work down each side and do the corners and bottom last.4. Re-seating the tiny cable connected to the webcam was not so easy; but, I did it with a plastic prybar, bright light, and magnifying glass.    -if not carefull here you could easily do some damage.5. Loosen up the slack on the cable by re-routing it a bit.6. Carefully snap the bezel back on. (It turned out that the cable does not stay connected because of to much tension on the cable. Basically the cable is a bit to... Read more

Hi all,So, as the username hopefully indicates - a newbie to the x200s, which I bought recently, though I've been using thinkpad products for a few years now (a devoted fan!)My x200s did not come with a webcam and, since I am thousands of miles from home, I reckoned I would try and install one manually. Note that I have swaped its HDD for an SD & changed keyboard in the past with no problem, so I was assuming (foolishly, perhaps!) that vaguely knew what I was doing.I followed the instructions and user experiences on this thread, I purchased this camera - and got off to work.Even though everything seemed fine when adding the camera to the system, a strange thing happened after I rebooted (I run Linux Mint 16): neither the webcam, nor the thinklight were now working. After lots of testing, I assumed I must have just destroyed part of the cable during installation, and so I purchased this cable (Lenovo ThinkPad X200 LCD Video Cable 44C9909) and tried again. Same result! The only difference is that the first time round, an "lsusb" command on linux would return a Ricoh product (and I assume that's the webcam), but it would still not be recognised by Mint, while now, there's nothing. In both cases, the Thinklight didn't work.Since both the thinklight and the webcam come out at the same end (see the right end of the cable on this picture) I am assuming, of course, that the two are related.Would anyone know which of the clips on the left end of the cable on the same picture, abov... I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. I haven't wanted to ask because I was worried about where. Please move this if it's wrong.
I also need to repair drivers on my computer. the MMDRIVER.INF file is missing or damaged. It says use the windows disc 1 to system32 directory.
The problem I'm having is that suddenly my webcam doesn't work. My daughter gave me the computer, but never bothered to give me the CDs for it. Is there anything I can do to repair this without them?
Thank you,

I am using a video surveillance program (webcamXP), and I would like to use both my integrated webcam (laptop) AND my logitech webcam (C310) as sources; however, it looks like my integrated webcam is not accessible when I plug in the UBS webcam. From the program's perspective, there is only one source which corresponds to whatever webcam is available (integrated webcam when USB is unplugged, and vise versa).

I would expect both sources to be available. I'm thinking somehow the computer is seeing the USB webcam and just overriding the integrated webcam. Is there anything I can do to verify this and/or change it to make both available?

It's totally possible that it could be the program, but I was unable to find any settings to get it working.

I'm running Windows 7.

Hello,

Lately i found a webcam wich i haven't used for quite some time. I plugged it in, but the Windows XP Pro SP3 detected the webcam as an unknown USB device. I cannot find a driver manually, becouse i lost the package in which the webcam was in when i bought it, and there are no manufacturer nor model name written on the webcam itself. I disassembled the webcam and below are all the writings i found on the chipset:

PAL-A 94V-0
E197709 0744
TCI 12,0000
C1071119N
PN:001-261202-801 (or PN:001-26120L-801, couldn't excaly see which one is it.)
Rev. B1

I hope you guys know what thoose numbers means and you could help me out with finding a proper driver. I tried to google them all, but with no result.

Thanks in advance,

Answer:Webcam not working HP

You might have to go into the device manager in the system tab; and manually add the device and let windows try and find and install the driver(s) for it that way. Give that a shot and see if that does anything to resolve the issue. If not post back and we can go from there.

Hey guys I have a HP laptop (hp G60-418CA) and it has a built in webcam, the laptop is almost 2 years and everything has been fine until now. My webcam randomly stopped working. Whenever I try and open my Cyberlink Youcam, I get an error message that says "Warning no webcam detected, Try plugging a webcam in your computer, if you are using an integrated webcam make sure it is turned on" I either get that error message or this on that comes up most of the time " Youcam cannot connect to your webcam ( USB Video device.) Try selecting another capture device within settings or close any applications that may be using this webcam, then restart your Youcam.

When I go into device manager, Imaging Devices only shows up in device manager like half the times i open it or less.

-I updated the drivers.
-uninstalled youcam
-re installed it
-updated my computer and nothing.

anyone know whats up?

Answer:hp webcam not working

Did you re/install the chipset drivers? That can help the system reconnect with it.

If not, I think it's a loose wire.

Bluriness, would typically indicate a hardware issue (ie: camera problem). You can try uninstalling the cam, rebooting, and reinstalling.

Please can you help me, I know the problem isn't windows 7 as my brother uses the same webcam, but I'm lost for ideas.

Thanks

Answer:Trying to get webcam working

You might want to try seeing if you can get the drivers from the manufacturer's website. You can also try the cam on another computer, just to see if the issue is the hardware itself.

I have used my webcamera with SKYPE for video chat, but it is no longer working.
I believe that it may have been compromised. A few months ago while surfing the net I log onto a site when my sceen changed; it stated that it was the FBI and I logged onto a forbidden site and that I should send them $100 or face criminal charges (I believed this for about a nano-second).
I rebooted into safe mode, for it now was the only way to use my computer, and I removed the malware trogan virus. But now my webcam does not work. Under the control panel the camera states that it is working properly and it has the latest driver updates. And the same goes for SKYPE it is updated as well but seem to not be able to activate my video camera.
Suggestions, hep, please .

Today my HP Webcam 101 which is built into my laptop (HP Pavilion g6-1337sa) has decided to not work. It doesn't not fully work, as when I video call on skype it works for a split second and then turns off. It sometimes then either goes to a green screen or the YouCam loading screen or fails to work at all. I'm unable to make it work at all. I have tried reinstalling Skype & YouCam but no change, as well as a System Restore from before the problem started. I have also tried many of the problems on the HP forums already, including from here, which hasn't helped;http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02452221One of the solutions was to change the driver from HP-webcam101 to "USB Video Device" which did nothing, and I can't seem to find the HP webcam.  I'm not sure if this is also relevant but if I was to try and get the webcam to work in the YouCam application, it will attempt to connect to the webcam, and you also hear the sound when you connect a USB device? And a pop up comes up saying "This Device can peform faster" and then it dosconnects.  It also had a short burst of time where it worked for maybe a few minutes, then stopped again and hasn't since. The webcam does connect, extremely briefly, but I have no idea what the problem is at all.  Any solutions or help will be greatly appreciated. many thanks Toby (Windows 7 64bit)

Answer:HP Webcam 101 not working.

Hi TobyMiller, Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6-1337sa Notebook   and  HP Webcam 101 not functioning correctly. Make sure you have no external USB devices connected while troubleshooting. Try opening Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. In Device Manager, locate the Webcam Driver, and then double-click the device  name. Then locate the USB driver and uninstall this device. Click the Driver tab, and then click Rollback Driver. Restart the computer. Hope this helps. Thanks.

lenovo g505s.i installed the lenovo easy camera yet this driver never runs, and web cam is unusable.

Answer:webcam not working?

hi gokuvegita,

When you get the "Webcam is unusable" error, can you try to:
-  Open Device Manager > imaging devices and see if. have built-in camera detected. If it's there uninstall it and reboot to refresh the driver.

Alternatively, try to:
1. Run Windows update to get the latest patch and bug fixes to your OS
2. Uninstall the Camera Driver from the Control Panel and re-install the driver below:

Camera Driver (AVC, Liteon, Bison, Chicony) for 64-bit WindowsWindows 8 64Bit
cam115w8.exe26.6MB

Camera Driver (AVC, Bison, Chicony, Liteon)Windows 7 32/64Bit
cam118w7.exe26.6MB

3. If the webcam is still not detected, apply this USB binary fix and reboot:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2529073

If problem persist, the camera is probably not getting detected properly or is already defective. Try to perform a factory reset using the OneKey Recovery button to isolate if the issue is OS level.

So my HP Webcam wasn't able to be recognized by any software so I went to Device Manager and Uninstalled the driver after checking for a newer version. Afterwards it only installed as a USB Video Device.

I just had to completely reinstall my Windows 7 OS so it didn't have the driver saved.

Any way I can get it to be recognized again?

Thanks in advance!

Answer:HP Webcam not working

Uninstall the driver in safe mode run a Ccleaner on Cleaner & Reg.Cleaner CCleaner - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com and Reboot...

need to get help from some1 who could help me get my webcam working plz i have an inspiron 1521 its built in but wont be recognized when i try to video chat

Answer:cant get my webcam working

Hi, to better help, I would ask for more information. Things like where can't you get the webcam to work, has it ever worked, if it is only certain programs that can;t use it, which are they, etc.

As for the problem. Can you go to Dell Inspiron 1521 driver down load page and download the driver for the webcam. (It will be under Inpute Device Drivers).

Then go to your Device Manager (if you don't know where it is I can help you with that) and check for any yellow marks there. If there are any, please post them here. Also in the Device Manager, please uninstall the webcam driver.

Then install the webcam driver from the file you just download. See if that helps.

If you aren't sure how to do something, please post and I will give you the needed info.

Also please let us know how the problem is after this.

You may be able to install a vista driver by installing it in "compatibility mode"

You do that by right clicking the installer>properties>compatibility>choose vista

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

Question: Webcam not working

I'm not sure if this is in the right section so I hope someone can help me.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L500D with an inbuilt webcam which has stopped working.
I tried to open the webcam application that comes with the laptop and it said the webcam was being used by another program, which it wasn't, so I went into Task Manager to end the process. I tried it with MSN and it froze and MSN crashed. I restarted my laptop and then an error came up saying "Web Camera initialization failed. Please check your camera device and restart application or computer." I tried uninstalling the program and downloaded the device driver again but it's not working. It says the driver software is up to date but in device manager it doesn't recognise the webcam anymore and is now an Unknown Device and in its properties it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I don't know what this means, does anyone know how to fix it?

Answer:Webcam not working

Hi HarlequinPuppet

I checked Toshiba's support site here

1. You might check for the downloads there also for your specific model
2. And as to your model, you'd need be more specifc as looks like there are 6 or so different Toshiba L500D models (note the STxxxx after each one)

Which exact model do you have? Also, try this, might reveal something

Make sure all your devices are connected and powered on
Click Start->Run, enter: msinfo32. Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post

Question: WebCam not working

Hi All, I just purchased a Lenovo 3000 N100, and as I am testing every feature this notebook has I notice the camera on it is not working. I did a search through this newgroup and found stuff on it but nothing similar to what I have. Pretty much it is the same does not work. Tried the recommend setting to indentify the camera on Lenovo website. But it cannot find it or allow the driver to take in control panel. I uninstall and dowloaded the driver from this website and still no change. What appears to make mine different is that it does not identify in device manager as a WebCam2.0 like everybody elses. Mine reads "Intergrated Cam". After another scan of this forums I found that it somebody direct to the manufactures (Sonic) latest drivers. Well now it reads it as WebCam 2.0.... But When I try to use the test feature  suggest from Lenovo here. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67297  to get it work I still get nothing wont identify the camera at all. Any ideas or suggestions, I like your thoughts on this or help, or direct me to a post I happen to miss regarding something similar all is appreciated. J.

Hey guys,  I hope you can help me.   My webcam isn't working and I am positive it is not the actual camera that is broken.   The webcam software is Cyberlink YouCam 5and my operating system is Windows 8.1. I get this warning when I open YouCam:"Warning: No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam to your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure its turned on". Things I've already done: Uninstalled & Reinstalled the software.  Upgraded to newer versions of YouCam & updated drivers.Checked Imaging Devices, updated whatever was there.   Deleted the webcam from imaging devices.I did some research and found the manual to my laptop: http://media.flixcar.com/f360cdn/HP-524343201-c04526702.pdf  and saw that my laptop has a HP TrueVision HD webcam.    I'm trying to find a download link to the Truevision HD but I haven't been able to.    I would be eternally grateful if someone could tell me what to do or send me a link to the Truevision HD driver to see if installing that would work.       ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
