Type of Micro SD card required for Lumia 625, like SDHC or SDXC etc and class 10 or class 6 etc.

Question: Type of Micro SD card required for Lumia 625, like SDHC or SDXC etc and class 10 or class 6 etc.

I am based in Mumbai and bought here a Lumia 625 two years ago. Now I want to add / insert Micro SD card to augment memory. I was searching what is suitable or compatible type of SD card but could not understand or find a straight answer. Specification of 625 phone I could find online on third party website ( not Nokia.com ) only says "MicroSD card". Where as there are so many type / class etc.

Preferred Solution: Type of Micro SD card required for Lumia 625, like SDHC or SDXC etc and class 10 or class 6 etc.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer:I bought lumia 640xl now confused about which micro sd card should i buy class 10 or u1

I'd go with SDXC-1. Worst case your slot won't take full advantage of the speed, but I feel it will.

Answer:Thinkpad X1 Carbon and SDXC Class 10 SD Card

Hi, deanmitchell

I looked up your machine in the Personal Systems Reference and it should work (page GS1-1). It has a 4-in-1 port that can read SDXC cards. I have never tried it myself, but it should work by all technical aspects.

Best,
Adam

I inserted A new Transcend 16GB HDSC class6 card into my card reader and I get "Formating cannot be completed". Help appreciated.

Answer:Question re-Transcend16GB SDHC class 6 card

Does your Card Reader actually support the SDHC (High Capacity) cards, normally those over 2GB? Some Readers only support the standard SD cards.

Hello, I am looking to buy a 32gb class 6 micro sd card, which the specs listed in my nookcolor userguide. I looked on newegg, which was recommended to me, but they only have 32 gigs available in class 2, 4, and 10. Are any if those compatibke with the nookcolor (which supports class 6 micro sd)?

Thanks!

Answer:Solved: what class micro sd card do i need?

Understanding SD card classes:

I cannot give you a specific answer; but, I think it valuable for you to understand what SD classes means. When SD cards first came to market, there was no class. It had a read/write specification; but, I don't know what that spec was. If an SD card is marked class 4, that means it can be written to and read from at four times the speed of the first SD cards that bore no class markings. A class 10 card has a 10x speed.

If your device supports class 6, that probably means the device needs a card that will accept writes and writes 6 times the speed of the (largely obsolete) original SD card.

So, if your device needs class 6, you can go higher; but, do not go lower.

Hi there,
Just wanted to ask If I should use class 6 or class 10 SD card for installing apps/games?
What is the basic difference? Performance of apps/games will be poor if I use class 6 SD card?
Sorry if such question is asked before.
Thanks in advance :)

Answer:Class 6 SD card vs Class 10... Quick Question.

In short, the higher the class, the higher speeds the card can reach.
Recommended 10 since who doesn't want speed?
But I haven't seen anything to indicate performance will be poor on a class 6, I have an anecdote of a guy enjoying games on a class 4 without any problems so hmm.
I'd say it will come down to price.

Question: system won't boot after trying to revert Windows Media 10 to previous version{Fatal e

I'm running a dual boot system with both XP and W2K on separate partitions. I'm ONLY able to boot and write this NOW because I've booted to the W2k side.
My Main used OS side of my computer(running XP Pro) cratered when I tried to uninstall Windows Media Player 10 in my Control Panel. It actually said that it was going to not unibstall it, but revert back to the previous version(I recently ungraded to version 10 to try to play some of my stored video files that wouldn't play on 9).

Anyway after doing the "reversion" and telling me I needed to restart to complete the process(to which I chose "Yes", and it shutdown and tried to restart), now it never can restart....and on ever attempt I get the message:

"STOP: c000021a{Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status o"
"The system has been shut down".

Just before it told me to restart to complete the reversion process about 4 SpyBot S&D Teatimer Registry change prompts came up. I checked "remember" and chose to allow each of those registry changes(thinking it was proper, since I was changing versions from 10 back to 9). But now I can't even boot in XP in Safe Mode...and Always get that Fatal Error message on a blue screen as it freezes and won't boot to XP any more. I've looked for System Restore in my Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools area and see no System Restore listed.

Question: t430 Class 10 SDHC

Hello, I just recieved my t430 with the standard 4-in-1 SD reader. I was given a class 10 SDHC card by one of my professors to use for an assignment, but cannot get the card to show up as a drive in my computer. The card is inserted properly. I've checked my computer with a class 4 SDHC card; it found the drive fine and was able to read it. I've reinstalled the drivers for the reader and made sure that the drivers were correct. I've been trying to figure this out.  I was wondering if anyone has had this problem, and a solution?  Thank you.

I just did a test on my new Kingston SDHC and my old Transcend SD X150 on Kodak MD853 HD:

Results are:

Kingston
SDHC 4GB Class 4 rating (4MB/s)

Free Space: ?
Used Space: ?
File system: ?

Picture count: 3467
Audio/Video: 80:00 minutes
Transcend
SD 4GB X150

Free Space: 3.82GB
Used Space: 96.0KB
File system: RAW

Picture count: 3533
Audio/Video: 80:00 minutes

Between the two
Picture count difference: 66

My Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 reader/writer can't read the SDHC. Now I'll have to get one that does. The Kodak can read it okay..Transfers are quick so far compared to the X150 Transcend speed seems slower to me.

I going to use the Transcend to store 1,740 WMA songs on SD 4GB on a 2GB I have 870 WMA songs. A fews years back Microsoft included a on XP Plus CD a Plus! MP3 Audio Converter. I used that on all the MP3 I had.

I'm getting a flash-memory video cam that uses SD/HC.

SD will work in these cameras, I understand, but I'm curious if my existing SD flash is fast enough. SD denotes speed by X, i.e. 50X, 60X or 150X rather than by the new SDHC "class" designation.

The camera requires "Class 4" or better. What is this compared to 150X on an SD card?

Thanks for any help. I haven't been able to find anything on this in any of the obvious places.

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40 with a basic SDHC card. Is a Class 10 card overkill for this class of mega-zooms if I'm only shooting still pics? Would I notice any difference in performance over a Class 6 card?

Yes but be aware that this is only class 4 so some lagging will/can happen.
Furthermore its already an old card which had a 5 years warranty when sold.

The Satellite A300-1G5 series supports the cards from type:
- SD Card - 8MB-2GB

- xD picture card - 16MB-2GB
- Memory Stick - 8MB-256MB
- Memory Stick Pro - 256MB-2GB
- MultiMediaCard - 8MB-2GB
- miniSD (with adapter) - 32MB-2GB
- microSD (with adapter) - 512MB-4GB
- Memory Stick Pro Duo(with adapter) - 256MB-4GB

Hi all,

I have a noob question I think, I'm not very well versed in networking knowledge first of all, so pardon me if this is noob. My computer know how is in other areas, which is why I'm reaching out to you all.

I'm going to be getting Charter business class internet installed at my house possibly as I handle a lot of things for several different business's and Charter business class allows unlimited upload/download. Sometimes the PDF's and other things I have to download and upload to business's get fairly large. I've gotten notices a few times from Charter thus far about breaking my bandwidth allocation, and they said for the third strike I'm going to have to start paying extra per GB used. Business class for them offers unlimited upload/downloading, so this will solve that problem. I'm going to be getting the same speed I have now from them, 16/2 w/ turbo boost, just switching to a business account for the unlimited. I didn't get hosting or any of the silly little ad on's they always offer either, I have my own things I use for all of that stuff. I only inquired about internet.

Now to my questions.

Is there a huge difference between business class and residential set up? They are telling me there is going to be another set up fee, but this one is larger than my residential set up fee. $149 vs. $49.

They are also telling me I need another modem due to getting business class internet, is this needed? You guessed ... Read more

Answer:Differences of residential class, and business class cable set up?

With Comcast and Time Warner....the business class setups get a combo modem/router (gateway). Your setup varies based on what package you're getting, dynamic, or static, and how many IPs you ask for. You can still use your own router if you'd like, the steps to change the "gateway" you're given to pass the public IP to your own router and not have firewall features blocking it are quite simple.

More time is usually spent on the business setup, the tech making sure it's all setup properly.

If you got it from eBay or similar, it may be a fake SD Card that is physically 1GB but reformatted and re-badged as 8GB.

I am very frustrated with Trend-Micro Pro. I put it on my son's laptop (Dell 1520-vista basic). For some reason, I was trying to take it off but it will not remove itself. I tried a fix from Trend-Micro and it did not work.

How do I clean this off his computer. It is jamming our home network.

I have Trend-Micro Pro on my desktop (Vista Premium-Dell 530S). It tells me that my firewall is not working but will not allow me to turn it on....

Trend Micro will not respond to emails, their chat will not work and they say their phone support is down.

They are not living up to their part of the "bargain". I paid for tech support. Has anyone considered a class action suit against them?

Answer:Trend Micro Pro NEED HELP -Class Action Suit?

Have you tried this? http://esupport.trendmicro.com/support/viewxml.do?ContentID=EN-1036064&id=EN-1036064

After installing the memory card and copying music over to it my phone comes up either with an error code 80070003 or only plays a 30 second clip of the track. I also have a problem with photos disappearing when stored to the memory card.
I have tried changing everything back to the phone's memory but still have the problem with the music player

Answer:Is a micro sdxc uhs-1 compatible with a nokia lumia 625?

First of all your phone is compatible with your SDCard. (but there are "fake" SD cards
Did you format the SDCard in your phone.
Code 8007003 can indicate that you try to copy DRM protected music.

The X220multimedia card reader in the x220 works on the PCI bus and can read SDXC cards. I have seen comments here that it reads the UHS-1 cards. Can it make full use of the read/write speeds of the latest cards,such as the SanDisk Extreme Pro? Also, does it matter whether NTSF or exFAT is used when the card is used as a backup device, not intended for use in a camera? What are the advantages/disadvantages of using SDHC/SDXC cards for backup?

hi i'm having a little problem with a compile error.
error C2011: 'AutoMove' : 'class' type redefinitionClick to expand...

is this supposed to mean that i already defined class AutoMove somewhere else? any help would be useful thanx

Answer:'class' type redefinition

According to my Vis Stud 6 Help, C2011 is telling you that you have defined the identifier "Automove" as a type "Class" elsewhere. It would seem that your guess is pretty accurate.

Quoting Help:

Compiler Error C2011
'identifier' : 'type' type redefinition

The specified identifier was already defined as type type.

The following is an example of this error:

struct S;
union S; // error

I hate it when that sort of thing happens!

Can someone tell me or direct me to information about USB bluetooth devices? I want to know the difference between class 1 and class 2 and if its worth getting a 100m one over a 10m one. Do they really work over that range and surely it depends on the range of the other device as well? Im wanting to connect to my mobile, a printer and maybe some other local computers.

In school, we are doing a project where I must research (and setup) a network configuration that I'm a bit stumped on I consider myself to have a good basic understanding of how different subnets can't (and can) communicate with each other, but I've never actually had to setup a network that used different classes of IPs. If you can help me with this, I can send you the instruction sheet via link, but since it's a school project, I didn't want to post it here.

For people that aren't requesting the link from me, I'll type the info also.

Currently we have 1 server running Server 2003, 1 server running 2008, and two client computers that connect to them. It's a single network, and everything connects to a layer 2 switch. The switch doesn't do any routing, but has an IP (I don't know if that's relevant or not). 2003 provides DNS and DHCP, and 2008 provides DNS. Both are domain controllers and all computers are in the same domain. Clients must be able to have a VPN connection to the servers that remains connected at all times. (It must not have to manually connect)

Now, we have two Sonicwall routers that we must use to create two networks. One network/subnet for the two client machines, and one network/subnet for the servers. Both subnets will be Class A. However, Both routers (and therefore both networks/subnets) connect to each other via the layer 2 switch, which must have a class C IP. (That's where... Read more

Answer:Class A/Class C Mixed Setup

Look up DHCP relay and DHCP "ip-helper" address.

And it sounds like you need to create a VPN tunnel between the two routers.

My wireless router is working OK with respect to internet connectivity, but I cannot connect to its admin page at 192.168.1.1. The Request times out.

Looking into the problem, I see that my home computers are getting IP's in the 10.x.x.x class.
The last time I looked (weeks ago) they where 192.168.x.x.

Did my internet provider begin placing my home interior into 10.x? Fine, that should work, except it may be causing this problem.

tracert 192.168.1.1 shows the request going out to the internet, so that can't be good.

Wanting to make 192.168.1.1 stay inside my subnet, I tried using the windows route command as follows

route add 192.168.1.1 mask 255.255.255.255 10.0.0.4 metric 2 if 14

(10.0.0.4 is my computer's IP, 14 is my computer's wireless interface )

that didn't help.

Suggestions? Is my analysis on target? Don't assume I know what I'm talking about.

No - They should not do that and 10.x.x.x is an old standard

are you sure you not connected to someone elses wireless network ? - although it appears you are also cable connected with 10.0.0.4 - so thats not it

Unless you have two routers connected together - that may explain it

Does the R600 support the sandisk "extreme 30 MB" or the SDXC card?

I ask because they seem to the only ones with 64Gb capacity. I need the maximum additional capacity possible

TIA/gary

Answer:SDHC extreme or SDXC card work in Portege R600

Hi

As far as I know the SD card reader supports the SD card up to 2GB, SDHC up to 16Gb and mini SD card (with adapter) up to 2GB.

I didn?t find any details about the usage of bigger SDHC cards and I think you will have to test it yourself?. But in my opinion there could be a problem using such cards!

A(int x) {
this.x=x;
}
void directshow() {
System.out.print(x+" ");
}
void getandshow(A ref) {
System.out.print(ref.x+" ");
}
}
class demo{
public static void main(String args[])
{
A ref1=new A(5);
A ref2=new A(10);
ref1.directshow();
ref2.directshow();
ref1.getandshow();
}
}
I do see that the 1st 2 outputs would be 5 & 10.But Im unable to visualise the getandshow(A ref) method.

Answer:passing variables of class type

Normal, the method getandshow is expecting a parameter of type A.
Just try :
ref1.getandshow(ref2);

I have a Lenovo IdeaCentre, purchased only four weeks ago.  It product family is IdeaCentre k410, machine type 10089.  Anyhow, the problem is: I inserted a microSD / microSDHC, both of which seem to fit into the slot fine, though neither registers under anywhere in windows explorer, neither in the root of C://, nor in any of the subdirectories, or on the main listing of mounted file systems.  I used the Lenovo Driver Updater and re-installed the SD Card Reader driver, to no avail.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  As well, the computer runs Windows 8, which has some features I'm unhappy with, and although this is not a windows forum and I don't mean to create a thread that deviates from lenovo-specific topics, I was wondering if there is anything in either the machine architecture or the software of Windows 8 that could hinder m in installing a dual-boot system so that I might have the option of running a variant of linux as a sub-operating system, as I did with windows XP.?????  OK any help at all would be so greatly appreciated, thank in advance.  I really want to be able to retrieve some writing files I have stored in that micro SDHC card.  As another aside, does anyone know the max limit of RAM this computer can take and if it is DDR or some other type?

Answer:SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC/MS/MS Pro card-reader slot not showing up in windows explorer.

hi BrokenHalo,

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

Regarding your questions:
1. When you inserted the SD card, do you hear a sound that a device is inserted and under Device Manger, do you see a Card Reader?

If not, try to:
a. boot intto the BIOS by pressing F1, load defaults by pressing F9 then press F10 to save and exit BIOS.
b. Reseat the front panel connectors (see page 23 of the hardware maintenance manual)

2. To install linux (i.e. Ubuntu), see if you can install Ubuntu via UEFI. If you're unable to do so or if you want to install other OS, try to:
a. Boot into the BIOS by pressing F2 and set the following settings below

UEFI Boot Mode = Legacy
Secure Boot = Disabled  (if applicable)
CSM = Disabled /  Legacy or Other OS (if applicable)
OS Optimized Default = Disabled or Legacy (if applicable)

b. When finished, press F10 to save and exit BIOS then try to install Ubuntu via Wubi or insert your Windows installation disc to install a different OS.

3. As per this pdf data sheet, the Lenovo K410 has a max RAM of 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3  but Crucial reports that this unit can take up to 16GB PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 - check this site.

Hope this helps

Nowhere in the documentation, web site is any info about what kind of controller and hence what size SD cards this model is supporting.Even Lenovo tech support doesn't know that info!I am really hesitant to buy a SDXC card of +32GB only to find out it supports on SDHC cards, thus limited to 32GB... thanks for any useful info, Ralf

Answer:What kind of SD card controller is in a Lenovo IdeaPad 120S-11AIP? SDHC or SDXC compatible?

Hi ITWorxLA,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As per system overview :
IO port: Memory card slot (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC)

Platform specification:
One microSD Card slot, supports up to 2TB

Usually there would be stickers on the box or laptop to indicate the format it also supports.
You can try to find/borrow  a spare 32GB SDXC to test first before purchase.

Hope this helps answer your query.

I have a Twist S230u and just purchased a Transcend 64GB micro SDXC card (UHS-1 rated), which comes with an adapter to the SD interface that is compatible with the Twist's media card reader. Up to now, I have not tried to use any card larger than 32GB in the media card reader, and have never had a problem, whether using true SD cards or micro SD via adapters. But with the new card, I seem to be able to access only the first 32GB of memory. Once that limit is reached, files put on the card seem to go down the memory hole in a very strange way: As long as the card is active in the machine, files continue to transfer over to the card with no error indications.  But if you try to read them, they seem to open as empty (perhaps as filled with zeroes?). The file properties show correct information, and there is no data access error in trying to open one of of these files, but application programs complain of corrupted (wrong format) data. Now, if you eject the card and put it back in, the system complains of problems and asks if you want to scan and repair. Electing to do so yields the baffling response that the card was scanned and no errors were found! On top of this, the system still complains of card errors and asks if you want to scan and repair. This cycle will continue indefinitely.  But if you elect to skip the scan and use the card anyway, the directory seems readable, all the files seem accessible -- EXCEPT that files put on the card past 32GB have disa... Read more

Answer:Only 32GB accessible on micro SDXC card via Twist media card reader

More information: It appears that the file system on the card looks OK to DSKCHK, but the dirty bit is set. Trying to reset it with fsutil, I am told that the computer cannot write to the card. I have tried to do this two separate ways: 1) by having the card (in its SD adapter) in the Twist's built-in card reader, and 2) by putting the card (in its adapter) into a USB SDHC card reader. The card can be read perfectly in both situations, but can neither be written to (including dirty bit reset) nor formatted. Command-line tools show the filesystem as extFAT, so it seems as if Windows 8 understands the card format. I alerted Transcend tech support to this and they simply replied that the card in question was 64GB (which I told them!), and I needed to be sure that my computer hardware could give me full access to the entire 64GB range. Can anyone point me to a spec for the S230u that says definitively what the upper limit on card capacity is through the built-in media card slot?

Answer:Sony make.believe Micro SDHC compatible with Lumia 640?

That's because Sony only makes Android devices, and they are trying to sell their own products. iPhone doesn't use SD.
MicroSDHC is an industry standard, pretty much. If it works in one, it should work in everything that supports microSDHC.

Hello. I have recently got a Linx 10 windows tablet (Intel atom based), but it only has 32gb of storage of which 24gb is available. I recently purchased a Micro sdxc class 10 card (benchmarked at 25mb/s read/write on the Linx10 with crystaldisk), i was hoping to install applications on it where storage speed would be less critical. When i try to install programs on it such as visual studio it states that i cannot install it on removable media and steam does not list it as a drive. Is there anyway to make the tablet treat the micro sdxc as if it is an internal storage device so that i can use it like a hard drive? Or are there any other ways to make applications install onto it?

Thanks for any help,
Aljowen

Answer:Install Desktop application on micro sdxc card

you would use your SD card for the systems storage - ie picture, video, doc's etc

Thus freeing HD space for apps

I have an HP Envy Pro All-in-One (core i7-6700 etc) that has a 256G SSD. It's a royal P.I.T.A. to get access to the disc to upgrade it. So I'm pretty much limited to external storage to expand capacity. The unit has a built in SD-card reader and USB3. Which would be faster for app/data loading - a UHS-II class SD-card (assuming the Realtek card reader/driver can support that standard) or an external USB-3/SATA-III SSD? Any guidance gratefully received.

Answer:Which is faster? Class 10 SD Card or USB3 Extenal HHD?

I would also take portability into account since I can leave an SD card in my computer but not quite an entire hard drive. Also depends on space required, SD cards are much more expensive per gigabyte than hard drives.

Hello and good afternoon, to u all. I have some queries on behalf of a friend of mine that uses the nokia E63 mobile fone.Firstly he didn't know what kind of memory card the fone accepts, so I checked online and confirmed that it uses the MicroSD memory card.Here:click hereOur main query is that i'm looking to get a unversal card reader for him from ebay that can read not only his Micro SD memory card, but ALSO other cards.....but we have no idea, if we'll still need to get an adaptor to insert the memory card into....or whether the card can just be inserted straight into the card reader....Here is 1 on ebay:click hereSo for example will this one work with a micro sd card and if YES.....do we still have to get the adaptor for it, or can it be inserted straight into the card reader pls????Many thanks

Answer:Nokia E63 and Micro SDHC card reader

Copied this from the specs Slot 2 - Trans Flash and Micro SDLooks like it will accept Micro SD but adapters cost practically nothing, in fact you should get one free when you buy a Micro SD card.

Hello Guys am planning to buy a new SD Card For my Lumia, As Windows phone 8.1 allows us to install apps on External Memory, Can a Class 6 SD card Can Handle those applications to be installed on that Card???
Will there be any Limits, Or should i go with a class 10 SD Card??

Answer:Can class 6 SD card handle apps or Games Smoothly??

Hi Asik,
a class 6 mean 6MB/s, if you have a 60MB-game it means the OS need up to 10 seconds to load this game (it is not really so, but you can assume it). A class 10 mean at least 10MB/s, so you are 40% faster.
The question is: why not directly a class10 SD? If you want to be fast, it is better. If you doesn't care about 40%, a class 6 is also ok.
Normally, games are loaded in the RAM, so it is only slow to load. Once it is loaded it should be fast. But I would buy a 64GB class 10 (my favorite is Kingston) SD for 30$.

When I try to add a new class to a package, this error shows up:

The "Finish" button is greyed out because of this. I am unsure what to do.

Answer:Eclipse IDE: "Type name is empty" error when creating new Class

You should fill the new class name, as this wizard will create all the basic structure for you. Afterwards you may want to rename to something else if some refactoring comes by.

I purchased a 32 GB micro card on eBay a few months ago and come to find out, it was a fake. So,  I bought another one and filled it up to about 29GB and it worked fine for a few days then it just stopped working and now the phone I had it in won't recognize it's in there nor will my laptop. The difference being that at least my computer sees that something is there but won't read it i.e. it says drive h: in computer when I put it in but says insert drive when I try to access it. Also, it starts to get extremely hot after a few seconds to a minute. My husband has one as well from the same company, the same brand and has 30GB of stuff on his and hasn't had a problem yet (this has been at least three months ago now). Before anyone says it; yes it is 32GB, I tested it before I put it in my phone (thus the fact that I had 29GB of stuff on it before it went screwy), yes it is in the slot properly or else it wouldn't even say H: drive at all and no, my card reader isn't bad and yes it is compatible with my computer and the card as it is what I used to put the stuff on it originally and it still works fine with my husbands 32GB card and all of my other cards. My computer works fine with his card and it worked fine with mine before it went bad. Now, all of that being said; is there anything that can be done or will I have to just buy a new one?

Answer:Phone nor computer will recognize my micro sdhc card

Buy a new one. Price is now around $65 from on line vendors.Pardon me, but why do people put 32GB memory into a phone?That is  enough space to store all the phone numbers in the USA!A few years ago, nothing had 32 GB of anything. Let alone a phone! Am I missing something

Hi

I was just having a look at my add-ons and i noticed

INFORMATION CARD SIGNIN HELPER CLASS" ICARDIE.DLL is enabled

Here's a quote i picked up doing a search

No, you may selectively disable the ones that you don't need. For example,
if you are not using a Smart Card you may safely disable information card
signin helper. These are all used to enable special features of IE.

I am pritty sure i am not using a smat card " what ever that is " on this old xp machine
And even on the new laptop,

Can i disable it, if i don't use a smart card...

Windows vista
Windows xp

My wife bought me a Microsoft Lumia 640 Smart Phone, running Windows 8.1 LTE, in September 2014. She also purchased a 128 GB Samsung SDXC card to use in the phone. The phone and my laptop both recognize the card as a 128 GB card, but when I add videos to the card through the phone or the laptop, the phone and that laptop only recognize the first roughly 10 GB of videos that are loaded first and then the phone and laptop do not recognize the format of any of the video files after that and will not play the videos. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I see that the new high speed SDXC & SDHC cards that are using UHS-1 will be in exFAT format.
Will my Win7Pro32 using NTFS format recognize these?
Are there new drivers I need to download for my card reader to see these?
I have nor purchased one of these new cards yet for my new HD camcorder, so would like to know before I do the big spend on one of these high speed cards.

System is a Dell Inspiron 530 about 2-3 yrs old.

Hi and welcome to SF!
Yes, Windows 7 recognizes these formats natively, but I recommend that it be with the SP1 installed. As to whether your card reader will be able to read them, I'd say no - taking into account the age of your Dell. But if you can tell the model of card reader, I could tell with more certainty. Use Speccy - Download in case of not knowing what type of card reader. I look forward for your reply.

I now have the above named phone and require a Back-up memory card, Samsung state the maximum card must be a Micro SDHC which I know is not available by Samasung in 64GB size.
I have read there to be problems with 64GB Micro SDXC card not working correctly because of them being ExFat32
Does anyone in the group happen to own a Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte GT-N7105 Smartphone please and tell me if they have tried a 64GB Micro SDXC card with or without any issues.
Thanks
Steven

I have a Satellite A500-1GH having Windows 7 64bit. I'm about to buy an SD card, and I was wondering if the SD card slot at the front of the laptop is compatible with SDHC cards and the latest SDXC cards. If so, do I need to download some software and/or drivers for these kind of SD cards to work?

Thanks in advance.

Answer:Satellite A500-1GH - Is SD slot compatible with SDHC and SDXC?

Hi,

SDHC is definitely compatible.

As for SDXC, I think there is a Win7 WindowsUpdate that supports SDXC.

Answer:SDHC card not recognized by Lenovo R61 type 7733

what OS are you using, if you are using XP pro then there maybe an update that you need from microsoft to make the card reader see the SDHC cards.  http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board.id=T_Series_Thinkpads&message.id=11016&query.id=347... have a look at this board, there is a link to the update.
