Easy Camera not working on my 710S-13IKB Laptop (ideapad)

Question: Easy Camera not working on my 710S-13IKB Laptop (ideapad)

Easy Camera in my new Lenovo Ideapad Laptop is not working. I noticed this when I wanted to use Skype and also the "Camera" application. When this application is started, the 0xA00F4271(0x8070001) error code is shown. After spending a lot of time (trying various solutions from web, downloading and re-installing the driver, etc.), the camera started to work for one day and on the next day, the same story. What to do?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I got new Ideapad 710S-13IKB and trying to run Ubuntu on it. Unfortunatly Ubuntu not finds SSD disc and can't install itself when I run it from USB storage. I found that Lenovo has released BIOS that supports Linux. There some BIOS releases in Lenovo site:My current BIOS version is 3HCN14WW. According to logic it might be newer sine 14>13 and I afraid to update bios from site. How to know exactly which bios version is newer? Besides that there is "Linux only" BIOS. I need dualboot Win10/Linux. Will "Linux Only" allow me do this? How to get Linux on this machine?

It comes with a Samung pm961 ssd that uses pcie. I tried to install an Adata su800 m.2 sata but the laptop can't seem to identify the drive. I already upgraded to the lastest 2.52 bios and see there is a option for ahci sata. So I'm a bit confused and wondering if this model actually supports m.2 sata drive. If not what does the sata option in bios do?

Hi, I've read about some issue with yoga 710 fan noise that was recently fixed with a BIOS update. Is there an update for ideapad 710s-13IKB on the way? The unofficial third-party fan controller software doesn't work, perhaps because this laptop has two fans. Just installing some software for example causes the i5-7200u CPU to overclock to over 3GHz  which seems unnecessary. Limiting the CPU max clock to 70% from power management settings helps but is an ugly fix because it's a constant limit. When the temperature is +40C the left side fan stays on.... +39 and below the fan seems to shut down, but doesn't happen unless I let the computer idle for a long time. The fan control seems to jump every 10 degrees. +70C and above is the highest level. Because of the over-eager turbo clock the laptop can reach +70C very quickly and go into full fan power when doing low-intensity tasks. It does this every time I power on, and it takes a minute to lower the clock and fans down to reasonable levels. I noticed the fan issue straight away when I installed the W10 anniversary update. CPU/fan issue could be linked to high hard drive activity also. Also, the Lenovo Battery Gauge doesn't appear no matter how many times I try to enable it. It just doesn't want to show up on the task bar. Is it a seperate issue or are these two related?

As stated in the subject, when I got my new laptop and went through all the updates and finally returned to it, it had caused my fingerprint sensor to no longer work. When inspected through Device Manager, it throws Error Code 31: it states that the driver is up-to-date but Windows has failed to load the driver properly. With either restarting, removing and updating drivers, or reinstalling windows, I have failed to develop a manner of fixing this. Any help would be lovely. Thanks in advance!

This would be my first time posting here so I will try to be exact in my problem which is driving me nuts. I have recently done a re-install of windows 7 home premium with sp1 on my idea pad z580 (this was necessary as windows update was not functioning). after all was said and done all my programs and files and setting were saved except my integrated webcam was not working. Yes i made sure the softkeys had it turned on. This shouldn't have been a problem I went to lenovo and downloaded the recomended driver. The wizard ran with no problem. Windows then went to install the driver and it failed. If I go to device manager and have windows search for a newer version of driver it tells me I have the most current one...Yet it continuously fails to install it.  Help!!! I'm out of ideas. This should be a pretty routine thing to do. Any help would be appreciated.

HI,I updated to Windows 10 and my builtin camera (Easy Camera) is having problems.  The image keeps moving sideways like a slideshow.  I Use "You Cam for Lenova" and checked all options in settings, Updated the driver and looked at all forums for solution but no success. Checked with skype and same problem- image keeps scrolling sideways continously.   Checked on Window Camera I get a black screem (no image). Please help, I cannot use the camera now till this is resolved. THanks.

I just bought my 710S plus-13IKB ideapad laptop four days ago and have been facing some freezing issues while watching youtube but it's usually fine once I refresh the browser or close Chrome entirely so I didnt mind them. But just now (like 30 mins ago) it froze and nothing I click or press could work and the screen hasn't unfreeze since then. Im not good with tech stuff so I tried ctrl+alr+del and the novo bios button but both didnt work. Also to be frank, opening applications like folders etc tends to lag a little (or being a bit slow). Not sure if this is a Lenovo issue or Windows 10 issue. Please kindly advise what action I should take. It's really disappointing to see a new laptop being like this. ):

Hi community, I've got Lenovo 710S Plus recently. I read about erratic fan control and I don't know if the problem has been solved, that's it? Unless fixed, I found and issue about BIOS version, explain it: BIOS v2.52 release date: 2017-6-22BIOS v2.03 release date: 2017-6-29 That's erratic versioning name? What's the latest?~~~ [Developers only]Now, about fan control issue, I think is provocated by bad BIOS configuration because this can be fixed overriding registers in charge of fan speed and processor temperature management. Somebody has source code in order to fix it? Thanks and forgive my English level.

The camera on my 710S laptop haven't been working for a long time, though I don't remember whether any updates/new softwares caused it, or it was like this from the beginning. The issue is, that basically all apps are saying, that the camera is used by another application, or give an error message. For example in Skype the cam feed does not load at all in calls. When I go to settings in Skype, it loads the camera image for a second, then reloads and reloads. In Windows's Camera app I get the following error code: 0xA00F4271(0x80070001). I have tried to restart the computer, reinstall the driver, etc, but nothing works. When I go to Device manager, it looks like everything is perfect, though I don't understand why it shows two Imaging devices (Easycamera + SEC8425190013F4). I have even tried to disable one of them, but it didn't work either.

Hi Everyone, Hello Lenovo, I bought this laptop recently, and I was satisfied so far until i decided to play a game. I bought this one because it has a discrete graphics for a lightweight gaming. But after about 10 mins of playing any kind of 3D game (Dota, CSGO, CoH, even Telltale games) fps drops start to occur - graphics settings in the game doesnt matter (low vs high - hd vs fhd .. still the same shuttering, fps droping). After some googling and testing via gpuz i discovered that there is thermal cap at 61-62°C and if the card reaches this temp, it will start downclocking - After 10 mins of playing, GPU clocked itself at somewhere around 650Mhz (default clocks are around 950MHz), reason of throttle: thermal - via gpuZ. I tried using a cooling pad, but it doesnt seem to help much. Via Nvidia Inspector: there is a thermal limit set to 61C, but u cannot modify this setting, then in the other two states of a card (i think those are the states, that are triggered by the thermal limit) there are clocks set to 405MHz - neither these are modifiable, so i think, that after some more gpu usage, it would continue dropping to 405MHz.   I have tried:I have installed the newest nvidia drivers. There is no problem with power management settings (been set to max via windows power plan manager).I have also tried every power management settings in nvidia control panel (max power, adaptive etc,) - no positive results. I dont even think i got a defecti... Hello!   I bought recently a new Ideapad Y580 without OS. I've installed Windows7 and the drivers, which came with a CD by myself. The laptop has built-in HD Camera, which is working with programs like Skype and Lenovo Easy Capture.  The problem is that the image of the camera is very blurry. I can't find nowhere adjustment of the focus. There are only few adjustments like Saturation, Brightness, Contrast and Hue, but that didn't help me at all.I don't think that this is the normal image quality of the camera. I hope you can find a solution or give me some ideas. Thanks a lot!

Answer:Ideapad Y580 Easy Camera Issue

hi nordstorm,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

Your issue might be similar to this article.

The solution was to:
1. Install the camera and chipset drivers

Camera Driver (Bison, Chicony, AzureWave)0pca05ww.exe34.5MB

Intel Chipset Driver 0pah07ww.exe2.48 MB

3. Install Lenovo YouCam and adjust the settings of the camera

As an alternative, check if the camera still has the plastic covering, remove it if applicable. If the problem persist, it's probably a bad 720p HD camera and you need to contact lenovo for service.

Hope this helps

I am totally disappointed in Lenovo's customer support. My lenovo 710s was bought less than 1 year ago (as of 10/6/2017, when I sent it in for repairs) and had 2 years warranty (1+1 year of extended warranty). I sent my laptop for repair due to a white spot issue on the monitor, affecting viewing of webpages and videos. However, the laptop was returned after 3 weeks without any fixes/repairs, as Lenovo claimed that it was a cosmetic issue. I wrote a message on their customer care website on 3/7/2017. However, they ignored me and there was no reply to date.  I thought Lenovo is a reliable and popular brand. However, it turned out to be a horrible decision, much to my dismay!

I?m sorry to hear that the webcam is not working as expected even after re-installing the drivers from the support website. Hence, I would suggest you to un-install the driver from ?Device Manager? and while un-installing please check the empty box ?Delete the driver software for this device? and install the driver in administrator mode. Below is the link to download the same, and while installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select ?Run as administrator? option to get it installed without any error.

I have recently reinstalled windows 7 on my y570. On the previous version of windows (which was not installed by me) the web camera software was working (allowing me to take pictures etc.) but now, even though I have installed the same drivers from the CD provided with the computer, the camera software is not working. The driver seems to be correctly installed as the camera is working on instant messengers. I reinstalled the driver and still nothing. After checking the support website, I was unable to find any other software to install, but only the driver I already had. How can I install a software for the web camera that will allow me to take pictures and access the camera when I am not using video chat or skype?

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS010439
7-Test the camera fro several times if it is working try restarting again and double checking8-if the cam is fine start installing other SW and check

Answer:Ideapad 510S 13IKB - I can't turn it on!

Hi Mperal ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can follow the initial power check out guideline (page 21-22) from the hardware manual initially.
Checking probable point of failure such as adapter functionality we hope that a spare one would charge up the battery while the laptop is turned off. Battery indicators should indicate change in status after 1-2 hours being plugged in.

Here is the official service center locator but you may consult with other repair center to verify the cause until you can get back to your location where your inwarranty service would be available.

Update us how things go.

Okay so I've had this computer less than 3 months and it's given me nothing but problems. Now it refuses to even turn on. The power LED turns on but the screen remains blank. This is an non removal battery type before anyone says remove the battery and use the adapter. I've drained the battery which has worked before but this time when I try to charge it the orange battery LED blinks three times. And still nothing on the screen. Any Lenovo stores are quite far away. Anyone knows what's going on?

Hi - the current version of the ideapad 710s BIOS does not allow changing of the SATA/drive mode from RAID to AHCI. As a result, it is pretty much impossible to install Linux onto these systems. I've tried multiple combinations of things - completely wiped the drive, disabled UEFI, Secure Boot and enabled Legacy mode, etc - and nothing works.  The currently locked SATA mode basically prevents Linux from even seeing the SSD.  I've tried the latest versions of Ubuntu and Gentoo - both with the same result. Is there any reason why this setting is not exposed?  Are there any plans to expose it?

Less than a month ago I bought a brand new Lenovo Ideapad 710s, today it suddenly turned off even though it's battery was at 64%. I then plugged in the charger and tried turning it on - nothing happened. Then I held down the power button at it turned on. Only to turn off again after about 15 minutes. Now, it won't turn on at all.If I hold down the power button, the light behind the keyboard blinks, but the screen stays black. When I plug in the charger, the light that shows it is charging is on, so the charger is working.I just can't turn on my computer at all. I don't know if this information is needed, but I have used it almost every day, around 6 hours every day I've used it (I'm using it for school only). The only things installed on the computer was Office 365 and a driver so that I could use my printer.Any idea how to get it working again?

I have IdeaPad 510s and the camera is no longer working. When I try to open it, it gives me the error code 0xA00F4244 (0xC00D36D5).

I tryed to follow the solution proposed in the Lenovo forum but:

1. In the Lenovo Settings, the camera page and its privacy mode does not open.

2. In the Device Manager the camera and its drivers do not appear (there is no "imaging devices" and in "audio, Video and Game controllers" there are only audio stuff).

How can I do?

Hello Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.See if you are able to press FN + F8, it might be different on your unit, but I believe this is usually the function key for the camera enable/disable.

Also, Try to download the Graphics and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.

Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

I tried to use the internal camera on my Ideapad 310 yesterday to Skype with someone and it is not working.  It has previously worked but now not matter what I do I get a camera icon with a line through it.  I have updated drivers and checked all of the boxes, nothing.  Lenovo UK support is truly one of the worst, ineffective, lazy, good for nothings.  Their support is just there to infuriate their customers who have paid hard cash to get these products.  They seem think I just contact them to bother them.   Someone needs to see that instead of supporting they are just a sales prevention team.

Randomly I got the Blue Screen of Death error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION and apparently this issue occurs because the iastor.sys driver, is not compatible with Windows 10. So I changed the storage controller from Intel Rapid Storage sata controller to Intel mobile express chipset sata controller which was the other driver already on my 3 week old laptop. However, after this the laptop would not boot! It just kept saying 'automatically attempting repairs'. I then went into the BIOS and changed the SATA from RAID to AHCI and then the laptop would boot. But now the driver is just 'Standard NVM Express Controller'. I tried to reinstall the intel rapid stroage sata controller driver but then the laptop would not boot in RAID or AHCI! So I had to do a system restore and now the laptop seems to be working on AHCI and it has a boot loop on RAID.  My question is, should I put the laptop back on RAID (original factory setting) and after the boot loop should I reset the laptop to install a fresh copy of Win10 from recovery? Or should I leave it as it is now on AHCI with Microsoft Standard NVM Express Controller driver? Are there any disadvantages? My SSD is a Samsung PM961 (samsung mzvlw512hmjp) I need some help quickly before my 30 days returns period runs out. I really like the laptop but are there any problems with it?

Got my laptop after almost 2 weeks of placing the order. Although the wait was worth it, just after third day I found a crack on the hinge. I was extremely cautious in handling the laptop, mind you, and i believe this weather was present since day 1. I know the crack is really small, but i'm afraid of the integrity of the hinge itself. Not sure if I could claim a return or exchange. http://goo.gl/6dsidu

Hi  I am thinking of purchasing a 13" Lenovo ideapad 710s ($1199 model) over a MacBook air. I have been using a macbook air for several years and recently thought of getting a new laptop. Lenovo's 710s seems to be quite good on paper (except the battery life), but I couldnt find any reviews online which can tell me if the laptop is as good as Lenovo projects it to be. If anyone has bought/used Lenovo 710s, can  you guys chime in and let me know if this laptop came on par with your expectations (esp. the battery life)? Thanks

Answer:Lenovo Ideapad 710s question

hi. Here I leave you computer manual so you can compare, the battery is a consumable device that usually lasts depending on the use that will give the team being new can last an average of 3 hours, you should know that each load you do it is that you take away useful life. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Z-Base-de-conocimientos/Optimizando-el-tiempo-de-duraci%C3%B3n-de-la-ba... Manual service:https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_710S-13ISK_hmm_201603.pdf Regards.

Hello lenovo community.

I just got my new Lenovo Ideapad 710s-13sk yesterday.

I've used it for 2 days now, and it seems that the 2 finger scroll up and down triggers the 3 finger function from time to time?

So when i want to scroll, sometimes the task view shows up or everything minimizes depending on what direction i scroll of course.

Have anybody else experienced this and found a solution for it?

Best Regards,
Christian

I am trying to run games on my 710s with the i5 6260U and Intel Iris 540 graphics, with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.The nature of the video card in this laptop showed promise for casual playing of current titles at low settings, however early results were dissapointing. Upon installing Throttlestop and Intel XTU in order to undervolt the package and squeeze more performance, my surprise was high upon finding that the package consumed no more than 10W at very low temperatures with the fan barely spinning, all while running Doom 2016 at 720P Low settings at 20FPS.Changing power use settings in the Intel Graphics control panel and in the Windows power use utility raised the FPS to 30 and the power use to around 13-14W, but the temperatures barely reach 60šC and the fans aren't even spinning at full blast, and actually turn on and off all the time while running the game. Eventually the power consumption stabilizes at 13W, and Throttlestop states that it's due to a TDP limit. Is there a way of increasing this limit in order to attain the full performance of the laptop?

I live in Toronto, Canada. I bought Lenovo Ideapad 710S (i5-6200 128GB SSD 8GB Ram) in August 2016. Used only 2 weeks, the laptop couldn't recognized the hard drive. It was sent to MIAD (local Lenovo certified repair center) and diagnosed as hard drive dysfunction. The technician told me since it is a "consumer" laptop (vs. business laptop such as ThinkPad), they don't have the part to repair/replace. I waited 4 weeks until the new hard drive arrive and the laptop was still not working. MIAD told me it was not hard drive problem and beyond their ability to repair. The laptop was later sent to Lenovo repair center (US).A week later I got a notice from Lenovo said the laptop had arrived but the part they need is in back order.5 weeks later still no sign of getting the problem fixed. Contacted Lenovo and get the same answer. Only compensate so far is extension of my warranty for 2 months. However, no compensation about the usability. For about 10 weeks, I have to use my old Pentium M Thinkpad. If I bought a new laptop, it might already arrived! Conclusion: Don't buy Lenovo "consumer" laptop (Ideapad, Yoga etc), at least in Canada.

Yesterday I bought a new Lenovo ideapad 710s and already I'm experiencing difficulties with the touchpad. It occasionally just gets stuck for a few seconds, which is very frustrating, and also the touchpad scrolling doesn't work, even though I have enabled it in the mouse settings. I've also made sure the drivers are up to date, and the problems are still there. Does anyone know how to deal with these problems?

I bought ideapad 710S after research and survey, but the performance of 710s is really disappointing. The computer has strange problem and unstable performance. After my first week, I sent it to the maintanence center. Lenovo maintenance center was nice enough to change the mainboard for me. However, after 3 weeks of using, the problems reoccured again. the computer has slow processing capability.  I use simple word program and my typing does not show on the screen simultanously, instead there is the waiting cycle icon keeps apperaing. Plus, there seem to be extreme heat release problem with lound fan noise. I returned to the maintenance center and after that 3 weeks, the shop replaced ROM and heat fan.
When I got home, I started working on the document and recognize heat problem is gone. However, the delay processing problem remains. I have a problem getting my work done with this 710S because everything delays. By everything I mean my typed sentence delays by more than 10 seconds, my access to internet website consumes more than 30 seconds, program opening takes almost 1 minute. I feel disappointed, frustrated and mad with the quality of ideapad. I was a fan of thinkpad and this wiped off and torn down my believe of lenovo brand.

Hello there!I'm planing to buy a new notebook, and found the 710s-13ISK (80SW003NGE) interesting. There are 5 different configurations of it, with different CPUs and memory amount. The cheapest one is the only one i could afford, and it has the weakest CPU i3-6100U, which is no issue at all, but this one has only 4GB of DDR3L. I'd still like to buy this one, but only if I'm able to upgrade the memory some day to 8GB, in case the 4GB are not enough for my usage scenarios. Unfortunately i cannot find any specific information, whether the mainboard has a RAM slot (so the 4GB could be replaced by bigger 8GB), or the memory is soldered directly on the mainboard (means not replaceable). Does anyone have this particular notebook, and could give me some information about this one? Many, many thanks in advance!

Hi,  My Ideapad 710s which is only like 8 months old is currently with Lenovo for a warranty repair.  The comma key became loose and fell off the keyboard, the little clips on the back were broken so I was wasn't able to clip it back on.  I sent it to Lenovo under my 3 year warranty and now they are refusing to fix it under the warranty.  What can I do about this?  Why would anyone break their comma key on purpose? The rest of the laptop is in perfect condition so it is clear that I have not abused the laptop, every other key is absolutely fine.  Seeing that it was simply a matter of clipping a new key on, I asked Lenovo to just post me one out and I would do it myself. They refused, and made me send it in. I did this, and now they are going to try and charge me for the postage which I didn't want to pay for anyway because the repair was so minor!!!  This will be the last Lenovo product I ever buy if they are so petty and treat their customers so badly over such a small repair that any reasonable person can see is a manufacturing fault.  I am furious about this, and hopefully you guys can give some advice.  Thanks

Hi My 710s' fan has started making more noise lately. I've checked, and there's nothing caught in the fan. The temps are also fine. I think it's just running on dry bearings, which causes it to make more noise. Is there any way to oil the fan?

Hi! I've bought Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Ultrabook in October. It came with Windows 7 and it worked fine. At October 26th I upgraded computer to Windows 8 and camera was still working. I was using Windows 8 for a few months and camera worked fine, until about two weeks ago. It suddenly stopped working. I've tried reinstalling drivers many times, Windows 8 ones, Windows 7 ones ... But still nothing. It's not about hotkeys because they work. What should I do? Here's a picture of my device manager: http://www.file.si/files/68481_aim0g/U310.PNG Thanks,Sincerely Marko.

Answer:Camera is not working on IdeaPad U310 Ultrabook

hi TheMarkoCus,

I can't seem to open the picture of your device manager but if the Camera is under the Imaging Devices, that means it's getting detected. What you can try is to:

1. Boot into the BIOS by pressing Fn+F2 or F2, when you're in, press F9 to reset BIOS to factory default and press F10 to save and exit.
2. Initiate the camera and check the light on the webcam if it turns ON (i.e. thru Youcam or Skype)

If there's no light or you get an error that no webcam is detected even by pressing Fn+ESC then there's a possible wiring issue or the camera lens might have gotten defective. You can use a usb camera for the meantime or you can send the unit for service by contacting lenovo. Support phone list here.

Hope this helps

Yesterday it worked fine and I haven't downloaded or installed anything in between then and when this started. Today, I tried to use my webcam and it started out fine but it kept sporadically cutting out. The LED flickers on and off and the Windows 8 camera app fails to recognize the camera, then it crashes. At first I had the time to take a picture or something before it crashed but now it does it within seconds. It crashes most camera apps like ManyCam, and online webapps like the Facebook or Youtube self-capture apps. Only one I can get working consistently is testwebcam.com. It's really low bitrate so maybe that has something to do with it? I have reinstalled the drivers and restarted my computer several times and my situation hasn't improved at all.I don't know what to do.

I have the exact same issue on my Y410P. Just that it's been there for 3 months now. First started in Win 8. I figured uprading to Win8.1 would help, but it didn't. I have tried reinstalling the drivers and haven't had any success.

Hi, I bought a new Lenovo ideapad 510-15IKB about a month ago. It has windows 10. When I click on camera app it says "we can't find your camera. Check to be sure it's connected and installed properly, that it isn't being blocked by antivirus software, and that your camera drivers are up-to-date. If you need it, here's the error code: 0xA00F4244(0xC00D36D5). I have first disabled my antivirus and tried, but that didn't work. 'I checked device manager and there I couldn't see "Imaging devices" under which camera should show up as far as I know. Then I installed the camera driver here[1] and restarted the laptop but still camera app wouldn't work and camera wasn't there under device manager. Any help to get this issue resolved would be appreciated.  [1] http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/lk/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/500-Series/510-15IKB/downloads Thanks,Devni

Hi and hello there,  I just bought a new Ideapad 710S and I absolutely love it. Great design and great performance, except for one thing: WiFi speed. I checked it simultaneously with my phone and old laptop and they both have around 40mb/sec. The laptop manages to get around 15mb/sec. Now I already updated the drivers (Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165) and windows 10 update, however, this had no effect. Also, when I tried downloading various items it's about half the speed of my old laptop (also running Windows 10).  Any help would be sincerely welcome!! Thanks in advance and all the best,  Jan

Hi there!  I purchased a Ideapad 710s about 9 months ago. I haven't used the USB ports very much in this time (maybe once a fortnight max). I tried to copy some photos from my phone last week and it wouldn't recognise it, previously it did. I got another phone and tried to send some files to it and the connection would continue to drop out (could tell because of the volume being on).  I thought it was my phone wire or the phone, but it worked perfectly fine with another Lenovo laptop I have.  How can I fix this?  Another problem: My touch pad has been acting up recently too, been very hard to use the gestures - 4 finger swipe down and to the side.  Thanks so much!

Hi all, I am thinking about buying the Ideapad 710s with the i7 7500 processor. But I was wondering, if there will be a KabyLake Version with the new Iris Processor in the near future. Or should I just get the 710s with the Skylake/Iris combination and be done with it? Maybe the difference in processing power isn't that great?! The graphics chip should be better than the 620 anyway. A helpful answer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Greetings, p.s. maybe i should mention, that I'm from Germany.

I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues? The laptop does wake up after going to sleep but it is noticeably slower than a fresh start up. If I lift the lid after its been put to sleep the keyboard lights up but nothing seems to happen for around 20 seconds and then the lock screen appears. Is this normal? TheDickieBoy
