Kaspersky Password Manager Chrome Extension

Question: Kaspersky Password Manager Chrome Extension

Problem: When installing KTS and KPM, KPM doesn't install chrome extension...so I have to manually find it...which is brutal.

I contacted Kaspersky support, they sent me to this link:

How to add the Kaspersky Password Manager 8.0 (Windows) extension to Google Chrome

Unfortunately, the extension on that list is different than the one I had 10 days ago (had to re-install). Does anyone know where I can get the updated (if there is one) extension? The one I had before was more polished looking than this one (chrome icon matched the look of the KPM tray icon).

Preferred Solution: Kaspersky Password Manager Chrome Extension

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Cookies can be used for authentication, storing your site preferences or anything else that can be saved as text data. Unfortunately they can also be used to track you.

You could turn off cookies completely or just shut off third-party cookies. But that would also keep out useful cookies that many web apps rely upon to work (like Google Mail or Calendar).

With Vanilla you can select which cookies you want to keep on a whitelist. All unwanted cookies are deleted automatically (or manually if you prefer).

If you close your browser often, follow the "recommended usage" on the options page to get rid of unwanted cookies whenever you close Chrome. If you seldom close you browser you should let Vanilla automatically delete unwanted cookies after 30 minutes.
By default no cookies is deleted.

All the cookies from visited websites will be in "unwanted cookies" list.
Double click the website that you want in whilelist
Click "Add" to add in whitelist
Website added in whitelist
Similarly add other good websites in whitelist

Here you can choose after how much time the unwanted cookies will be deleted automatically

You can add websites in whitelist as shown below.

The native bookmark manager of the Chrome browser is as basic as it gets. All it enables you to do is to search bookmarks, move them to and from folders, and to delete or edit them.

When you compare that to the Firefox bookmarks manager for example, you will notice that it is far superior. From options to sort bookmarks in multiple ways over extensive editing option to the display of additional information about each bookmark in the interface.

Google has released a new Bookmark Manager extension for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers that aims to improve the native bookmark manager.

It replaces the bookmarks manager which you notice when you open the bookmarks in the browser. Instead of displaying folders and links only, colorful tiles and other information are displayed by it by default now.

You find search, edit and import/export options at the top now which is an improvement to the native implementation. The search has been improved by Google as it will include information found on the page itself in the search and not only the bookmark title, snippet and url.

The left displays all folders just like before but with options to display subfolders right away or hide them instead.

The location of each bookmark is highlighted by the tile, and drag & drop operations are supported to move bookmarks around. Tiles seem to be placeholder icons. New bookmarks show a thumbnail image of the site in question instead.

The extension adds a star icon to the toolbar that you ca... Read more

I have a thinkpad edge and default Chrome with a lenovo password vault software extension. When you open a webpage for which there's a password saved, automatically a pop up window appears in order to enter a general key to activate the specific log in details. The Password Alert extension for Google Chrome had been bypassed by a simple exploit, just 24 hours after Google had rolled out the Chrome plugin.
Within hours of publication, Google issued an update that blocked the exploit.
Now the same researcher has figured out a way to block the new version, too. Full read.

Hi All,

At present i am using Roboform Everywhere but i also have use of KPM as it is bundled with their Total Security Suite.

No sure which would be considered safer of the two and whether KPM can be used "everywhere" on PC's without paying a further subscription for KPM on other machines.

Comments appreciated.

Many thanks

Does anyone have any views or opinions about Kaspersky Password Manager. I am considering using this but I have found very few reviews (and those do exist are now dated). It seems to me that it might be good to go with a well established security company for password management rather than a smaller operator like Last pass or 1Password which everyone seems to recommended.

Is Kaspersky Password Manager any good ? The pricing seems quite reasonable.

Hi PC guru's,
Kaspersky Tech Support has failed me and Fire Fox isn't much help either.
Is any one up to the challenge of helping me out?
I upgraded to FireFox 16.0.1 and my KPM: 5.0.0.169 has ceased to be available in the top tray as a caption button.
My operating system is Win XP
I uninstalled and reinstalled KPM 5.0.0.169 and uninstalled /reinstalled FireFox 16.0.1.
I also used Kaspersky Kavremover to clean all of the old KPM out before reinstalling.
As I said there is no caption button in the upper right and no auto fill, in other words I cannot use KPM as it is designed to work, I can only copy and paste from Password Manager at the bottom right of the page.
This upgrade worked ok with my laptop running Vista.
I have been using KPM for ever and it has been good to me,
Thanks

Hi i see that pasword manager are very cheap and think it haves "safepayment or virtual browser from kaspersky" did it really worth to use. Now i am ussing last pass

Answer:Kaspersky password manager is worth?

Sincerely and probably LastPass is a better choice now than KPM, which in the past (until KPM5 I think) was a partner of StickyPassWord, but then KL bumped it and created from scratch a new version but simpler, and although They are adding new features (most of them lost in the past), Lastpass is a better bet...

SafeMoney (sandboxed browser), Secure Data Input and virtual keyboard are technologies integrated in Kaspersky home products (KIS/KAV/KTS) but not in KPM, what is clear: but if You already have Kaspersky product installed in Your system, KPM will have a great integration with it for sure...

Hi guys,

I'm just curious what is in your mind the best secured or the lesser evil password manager that can be used with chrome.

As I'm using mostly Chrome OS, I'm looking for a password manager that does not need to install anything on the target PC.

I'm using Sticky Password Manager now and while it's good, it requires me to install it's based software on a targeted PC in order for it to be used. That cannot work on a Chromebook which I used often.

And given that Lastpass had been compromised multiple times, could I still trust them with my data as they're still being rated as the top choice as a recommended password manager?

Many thanks.

I was looking at using the LastPass password manager to keep track of all my passwords, but they seem to have gotten hacked awhile back

I use Google products all the time (just about everything but Chrome) and was wondering if someone could tell me what their built-in password manager is like? Are your passwords encrypted and do your passwords auto-fill on webpages?

Answer:Chrome built-in password manager

Rule of the thumb for better security is "do not save passwords".

Yes Chrome encrypts the passwords. But not the usernames. The encryption is done using Windows API. It makes sure that only Windows user who saved the password can view them. A hacker who steals your password database cannot decrypt them. On Linux machines, encryption is done using Gnome keyring.

Yes Chrome also has auto-fill feature.

Hello,
Chrome browser stores my passwords in the "Password manager". However, some sites ask me annually or half-annually to change the password. But it is not replaced in the "Password Manager", it keeps the old password, and when I try to open that site, the old password is embedded, have to change it manually. Chrome does not open a pop-up window asking if to save the password, as it has one saved.
In the "Password Manager" cannot do any editing.
Answers will be appreciated.
Thanks
Motim

Answer:Password Manager in Google Chrome

I believe you must delete the saved password and then chrome should ask to save the new password the next time you log in.

Or set chrome to never save passwords and use a better password manager like LastPass.

Deciding which browser extensions are trustworthy has always been an uncertain business. If an add-on is highly rated, with plenty of users, then it should be safe? But as the recent issues over Chrome extensions showed, with popular add-ons being purchased and tweaked to push adverts, there are no guarantees.

Extension Defender is a new service which helps by cataloging malicious Chrome and Firefox extensions. This can be searched manually, but it's probably simpler to install the Chrome or Firefox extension, which can check and protect your system automatically.

Extension Defender's interface is, well, rather basic. It offers two sections, "Scan" and "Options". Click the second, and you?re told "there's currently no options to set". The first has only a "Scan" button and clicking this returns its results in a second or two.
Anything dubious will be listed in a simple report. A "Remove" button uninstalls the extension right away, and a "Rescan" option should confirm your system is clear.

A notification badge on the extension icon also displays the number of malicious extensions you've installed. Signatures are updated automatically, and Extension Defender then detects and allows you to block malicious extensions before they're installed.

We're not yet sure how effective the service will be. The database will need to be expanded (right now it lists 78 Chrome extensions, bu... Read more

Chameleon
Browser fingerprinting protection for everybody.

Chameleon is a Chrome privacy extension that detects fingerprinting-like activity, and protects against fingerprinting, currently by making Chrome look like Tor Browser.

WARNING
Chameleon is pre-alpha, developer-only software.

Please note that while Chameleon detects the use of canvas fingerprinting, Chameleon does not yet protect against it. See the coverage table below for more on Chameleon's current status.

The next step for Chameleon is to block scripts from loading based on their use of fingerprinting techniques, of which canvas fingerprinting is one. This work is in progress now (enabled by tying code execution to originating scripts in 25d7a5).

Detection
Chameleon detects font enumeration and intercepts accesses of fingerprinting-associated JavaScript objects like Window.navigator.

The number over Chameleon's button counts the number of suspected fingerprinters on the current page.

Protection
Since Tor users are supposed to all look alike, Chameleon attempts to blend in by altering request headers and JavaScript properties to match Tor Browser's values.

To start with, Chameleon covers Panopticlick's fingerprinting set, with more complete coverage in the works.

I got a idea for a Chrome extension, but no where to request it. When you install extensions in Chrome it places all the extensions to the right side of the address bar. My idea is to have a extension bar below the bookmark bar that automatically hides it's self when the mouse isn't hovering over. You can keep the chrome browser screen estate but not have your extensions obstruct room, making things look cleaner.

My honest opinion is that you do not need Kaspersky browser extension. Other extensions like Adguard do the job better (block tracking and ads) and you have Kaspersky web detection still running in the background. Anyway I'm not the right person to help you if you really want to get back the extension in that situation.

This issue started maybe 2 weeks ago. Before was working fine.
I've read it has something to do with a new (@#!!*@?!) google policy. Did anyone found a solution an this matter ?

Thank you very much .

Answer:Kaspersky Protection vs Chrome

This problem has existed since Google unveiled its new 64 bit chrome. I suspect you are using the 64bit version, and as far as I am aware of, the extension is still not compatible. It is completely not Google's fault. If you wish to continue using the Kaspersky extension you can "downgrade" to the 32 bit version.

I am having a similar problem. I'm running Windows 8.1 on a Surface Pro 2 (so 64 bit I think). At first I had a few different malicious chrome extensions (and also Firefox), as well as some related programs. I attempted to deal with them using this tutorial: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-gosave-virus/

I managed to remove everything except the gosave extension on Chrome. Every time I delete it, it comes back. I've run through the stuff in the link above. I'm currently running through it again in safe mode, to see if that makes any difference. I also deleted all of my chrome extensions. But gosave keeps coming back.

Please let me know what my next steps should be. Can we deal with my situation in this thread, since it's conceptually related? Or should I start separate one? What information do you need from me?

Thanks!

Answer:GoSave chrome extension

Hi, Deniz

It is not my intent to repeatedly remove malware from the same member's machines. The intent of this free service performed by volunteers is to help remove malware from your machine, educate you on how it may have happened, and how to prevent that from happening again.

This is the last time I am helping you.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Hi,
I just uninstalled and re-installed Google Chrome (on Windows 7)and found that the rpidity extension was immediately added to Chrome.

I checked my other two computers and found that rpidity extension is NOT installed on them.
I have Norton Internet Security 2011 installed and Secunia reports that the system score is 100%

I was able to disable and remove the suspicious extension using Chrome tools but I'm concerned that some malware is still on the system.
I searched for removal instruction on this site but found none.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Hello i return once again to the masterminds of the TechSupportForum!

I've gotten into creating Chrome Extensions, using a software called (Extension Maker) from Extension Maker (Link probably safe, nothing on there though i have adblock on so i wouldn't notice)

Anyways when i upload my extension it says it requires (Your data on all websites) this makes me worried, i don't want people to get spied on etc. So i though i could give you guys the ZIP file containing the manifest, image and everything that makes the extension work, and see if you can help me figure out if it actually does anything bad?

The extension is a simple RSS feed from my Blogspot that updates the user when i post a new chrome theme.

Feel free to scan the fuu out of it before extracting it, though i scanned it with Malwarebytes and it didn't find anything :)

Answer:My Chrome Extension, is it dangerous?

Hello. This is a malware removal help forum, not a "test my extension" forum.

I've removed the link to your dropbox and edited the link to Extension Maker so that it's not hot. If you say "probably safe", I'm sorry but that's not good enough.

First off, I have had great success in the past with removal of junk from my computer, and I wanted to say thanks for that and any future assistance I may receive.

Now, this is my main computer. I travel with it, it has all my important documents and whatnot. So I'm sure you understand how much this annoys me. This first came up a few weeks ago and I had multiple programs and extensions I didn't want. I have manually uninstalled all suspicious programs through the Control Panel and deleted the folders from the Program Files and (x86) folders. I also ran full scans with my anti-virus. The only piece remaining is the UNIDeaLse extension. The only way I can make it go away is to disable the Chrome extension, but obviously it's still there. Looking for some info for removing this.

I'm looking for a scrollable top links for Chrome. In other words the links just below the address bar so I can place more links and scroll to view them all. I feel like Browsers are going to be a window with tabs and all of us saying "where are our bookmarks?" "Where are our extensions?", "Where is the address bar?" followed by everyone installing older browsers and telling Chrome and FireFox to rethink the browser again because you gone over the deep end.

Answer:Chrome Extension | And a little Rant.

Do you usually have the Bookmarks Bar showing in Chrome? I normally do and place a row of the more well-used bookmarks there. I also have made a folder there for slightly less well-used bookmarks. Chrome's 'Other bookmarks' folder also appears on the Bookmarks Bar (providing there are some other bookmarks in folders under the 'Bookmarks Manager'). All other bookmarks are in these folders. This doesn't seem a bad sort of set-up to use.

About a month ago I noticed ads on my web browser where they shouldn't be, like Wikipedia and my school's online class client. All the ads said they were powered by something with the word coupons in it. After removing a suspicious extension on my chrome, things went back to normal. After a couple of days a new series of ads by something with "freecoupons" in it was popping up. I repeated my steps from before. This happened a few times, each with a new name, until it got to Unicoupons. After deleting the Unicoupons extension and reopening my browser, the extension returns. Now I neglected to mention this, but just once one of the ad extensions changed my home page to some redirect search engine thing. My process up until now to remove Unicoupons has been as follows:

1. Went into programs folders and such deleting folders called "Unicoupons" and "FreeCoupons". There were about 5 of these.
2. Following a guide found here: http://blog.mitechmate.com/remove-ads-powered-unicoupons-unicoupons-ads-removal/
3. Uninstalling EVERY program installed in the past month during step 2
4. During step 9 of the above guide in step 2 I searched through every .dll to see if anything suspicious was there.
5. Running a FULL Malwarebytes (Yes, fully updated) scan. This resolved several issues, but found no Unicoupons.
6. Running a FULL Spybot (Fully updated, again) search. Spybot found little to nothing.
7. Was referred to this website to run ADWcleaner. It cleaned a few issues, but no ... Read more

It is disabled after I reset the browser but is re-activated any time I try to remove it. I scanned with Malwarebytes, Adwcleaner. Spybot and Hitman Pro. Helllo,

Before we begin, please note the following:

I will working be on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
The logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me.
Stay with the topic until I tell you that your system is clean. Missing symptoms does not mean that everything is okay.
Instructions that I give are for your system only!
Please do not run any tools until requested ! The reason for this is so I know what is going on with the machine at any time. Some programs can interfere with others and hamper the recovery process.
Please perform all steps in the order received. If you can't understand something don't hesitate to ask.
Again I would like to remind you to make no further changes to your computer unless I direct you to do so. I will not help you if you do not follow my instructions.

I've tried to install an extension in Chrome that would block certain sites. When I tried to it said its already installed. And it shows up in the Extensions tab.

As I understand it all my extensions are shown in the top right corner, to the right of the address bar (what's the name for that?) and to the left of the 'hamburger' (the 3 horizontal lines). But I dont see an icon for that anywhere.

How do I make this work?

Thanks!

Answer:cant find an extension in chrome

Not all extensions need or use an icon.

Check the settings for the extension to see if you can enable the icon or not.

I can't seem to get rid of this chrome extension. It puts ads everywhere, with a small link to the lovely company that gave me this extension. On their website they have steps to disable the extension but they are very basic and don't work. They also offer to install a cookie that will disable the extension for 24 hours... How kind!

I've attached the log files. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do!

Also here is the link to the website.

Download attached fixlist.txt on the same location as FRST (otherwise the fix won't work)

Open FRST, and click Fix. Attach me that report after it is finished.

Hi there, and thanks in advance for your help. Recently I seem to have downloaded various nasties. I think I have gotten rid of most of them, though I can't seem to uninstall snap.do from my programs list. More crucially, I have BlockUtubeAd as an extension in Chrome (see picture) It will not allow me to uninstall through Chrome and I can't find any other way. I am running Windows 7

Evereytime I open Chrome the extension uniidealse gets added to my list of extensions and it stops other extensions from working properly. It is very similar to another problem I found on this forum:

http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/malware-fake-websites-for-google-searches-etc.208915/

so I followed the trouble shooting options until the point of running combofix where I got stuck because I can't stop symantec endpoint cloud from running its antispyware so combofix says I will have to continue at my own risk. I tried to turn off symantec before I started combofix but the only option available is to disable to antivirus or the firewall but some features remain turned on no matter what you do. I followed the link about conflicting programs:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/for...nti-virus-firewall-and-anti-malware-programs/

the part it lists about symantec is outdated and when I googled how to turn it off all that comes up is more outdated information about other people who can't turn their antispyware on.

I've looked through all the options on the window that comes up and I can't end the task in taskmanager because its denied.

Do you know what I should try next? or if it is possible to continue with conbofix even though the antispyware is still running?

thanks.

I found an extension in the Chrome extension store that may be malicious. I don't know what it does, and I did not install. In permissions, it wants to change the search page in addition to read and modify web pages. I'm not asking for help, but I know some of you are interested in taking apart code. This one has 18 users and was updated Nov 4.It's a copy of the ebates extension, including logo and description.  The link is
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ebates-free-cash-back-sho/gkacdjhcjoepppceflkpikppdhdmemom
I reported it as abusive, so it may disappear. But there it is if it's your sort of thing to dissect code.

Hi,
i'm PureDark and as my title says i have the "known" problem with browser extension unisales.
I use Chrome and my extension is called "unissaleS 2.0". I read in other threads how to remove it etc. but i would like to know exactly how to remove it and also if i have other malicious files on my computer except that. Also i would like to know, if it's possible, how to locate unisales from FRST scan log or something. A user said that he found a strange folder on ProgramData and after some check i got it too. It's name is "jmmfnpgiflckhgjogkegdmbcneoefpcp" and inside there are 5 files as on my screenshot.

I have an administrator and standard account on this pc. Windows 8.1. On the standard account when using Chrome the extensions such as disconnect, ublock orign, and https everywhere do not show each time chrome is opened and the bookmarks bar also does not show each time chrome is opened. Why did this happen? I don't have this issue on the administrator account.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome but that did not fix the issue. Would you suggest deleting the account and make a new account? Or is there a setting in chrome that I need to check? The always show bookmarks bar box is checked.
Anything else I could try instead of deleting and making a new account?
When trying to make a new windows user account by clicking settings then change pc settings I got an error box. The error box I mean is the one on the bottom of the screen shot with the black arrow in it. I do not know how else to make a new user account or why I got the error box. Please tell me what I need to do to fix this.
I found this. When I tried to open PC settings in safe mode I was unable to do so. I got the same error box. I did a sfc/scannow. I don't know what any of that means or if it will help solve this issue. Would you suggest doing a refresh/restart?
Another thing that I don't know if it is helpful is that a lot of the titles on the apps screen such as Microsoft store, games, finance all have error by them.

For safety, I browse the internet through Sandboxie, a sandboxing program. My default browser that I use is Google Chrome and I run Windows 7. Last night, Kaspersky (Pure 3.0) started quarantining files from my cache - but after clearing them both in browser and going to the folder to clear out any stragglers, and emptying and deleting the contents of my browser sandbox, it happened again once I pulled up and connected to the internet without downloading anything (I did go to some webpages such as facebook or tumblr to test if it was one of them, but it appeared to be random - I also run adblock on my internet). I repeated this process several times, deleting the files out of quarantine each time.

I'm not being redirected, there's nothing new that's been installed on my computer, no new search bars, no new extensions, none of that kind of weirdness. Only Kaspersky sometimes telling me that file "f_0000a0", or file "f_001698" or "f_001697" from AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache was infected with a trojan.

And each time, the file was a different name but it was all categorized under the name "exploit.win32.MS05-036" which, when I looked up, I could only find information from 2007. I've run a full Kaspersky virus scan and it came up with no infected files, and am currently running a Malwarebytes scan. I've also run Adware cleaner just to see but did not remove or delete anything as I wasn't sure what was safe to remove or not.

After installing some anti-virus I very quickly noticed a new chrome extension that appeared on my computer, it's called "YTBookMaruk" and it seems to be forcing my browser to run in development mode. When I check the permissions it shows as:

Which kind of scares me as I use my credit card online, and no matter how many times I remove it. It always comes back after I restart my computer. How do I fix this?

Answer:Chrome Extension - Wont Delete

I don't know when did this started to happen, probably last month or so?
There WAS some unknown programs in the control panel and YES, I DID TRY TO UNINSTALL IT.
It seems to get rid of the adware extension for a short period, but after 14 days or so the adware started to repopulate.
And you may ask me, "did you try to uninstall it again?" The answer is NO I CAN'T. It was because it didn't show up neither on the control panel, nor other program-uninstall applications.
And you may also ask me, "did you try to remove the extension in chrome?" Yes. I've been always trying to uninstall the extension every time it repopulates, but after some time, it will repopulate as "DiscountBomb" again.
But it is not the case this time. This time, the extension doesn't show up on "chrome://extensions" anymore but it still pops up ads. Luckily I had set a flag on chrome which will show all the extensions on the navigation bar and it shows up there this time. I think this is getting weird as it doesn't show up on the extensions page and also it changed its name this time to compareItApplication. And from the extension "Avira Browser Safety" there are now at least 1 tracker which is "AdNexus". I even tried to reset chrome and it didn't work
By the way imgur album showing all the things from the extension :"http://imgur.com/a/5pJ6r"
And after reading the log file from adwcleaner you should proba... Read more

Since the Windows 8 preview, when you install the latest version of Logitech Setpoint, it will screw up scrolling in Chrome. Haven't tested in other browsers, but the problem still persists. Just go to Settings --> Extensions and trash it. This is baked into windows update so look out for it. If this isn't a widespread problem, sorry about the spam.

Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
Wait patiently until the main console will appear, it may take a minute or two.
In the main box please paste in the following script:

Code:

I don't know how long the extension has been on the list, but as of yesterday chrome keeps notifying me about developer extensions being on use every time i open the browser. Whether i click on the disable or close button the Sauve, on extension reappears at the top of the list even after i've deleted it before.

This might be nothing, but at the time when i found out about the extension and tried to delete it i got a popup that gave me a 671kb file named download(I didn't run it). It has 10 lines of js, i don't know js syntax but some of the commands sound very suspicious. the entirety of the file ran in notepad++ is:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body onload="window.location.href='[URL='http://omptrendo.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/index2.html?__ipu=1'][COLOR=#ffffff]http://omptrendo.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/index2.html?__ipu=1[/COLOR][/URL]'">
<script type="text/javascript">
var ua = '';
if(ua.match(/^UA\-\d{4,10}(\-\d{1,4})?$/))
{
var _gaq = _gaq || [];
_gaq.push(['_setAccount', ua]);
_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
(function() {
var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? '[URL='https://ssl'][COLOR=#ffffff]https://ssl[/COLOR][/URL]' : '[URL='http://www'][COLOR=#ffffff]http://www[/COLOR][/URL]') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';

Answer:'Sauve, on' extension keeps reappearing on chrome

Hello,
Before we start please note the following:

Analysis and research take some time, also sometimes real life gets in the way, please be patient.
Limit your internet access to posting here, some infections just wait to steal typed-in passwords.
Don't run any scripts or tools on your own, unsupervised usage may cause more harm than good.
Do not paste the logs in your posts, attachments make my work easier. There is a Upload a File button which you can use to attach your reports. Attach all reports.
Stay with me to the end, the absence of symptoms doesn't mean that your machine is fully operational.
Note that we may live in totally different time zones, what may cause some delays between answers.

I can't foresee everything, so if anything unexpected happens, please stop and inform me!
There are no silly questions. Never be afraid to ask if in doubt!

A chrome extension called 'Digi Coupon' got installed in my Chrome browser recently. Because of it , I also get advertisements in Google search results by name 'Ads by safesaver'.
I have several times to delete that extension, but it appears whenever I restart Chrome browser. Whenever i delete 'DigiCoupon', ads also stop appearing in google search results, I think they are somehow linked.
I also tried scanning with Adwcleaner, but it could not scan
I need help - how to uninstall it forever.

Answer:Unable to remove chrome extension

Download and install CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download  Use the default settings to remove temporary files, etc.
after closing all programs/ browsers. Pay attention while installing and UNcheck the offer of any toolbars such as Yahoo or other programs.
No need to use the Registry cleaner tool and it may cause a problem.

Use the program below and allow it to remove whatever it finds.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Free (aka MBAM)
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.
Be sure to reboot the computer if required after you post the log.

Try uninstalling AdwCleaner and reinstalling.

If the adware still shows up after doing the above, use the two programs below.
Junkware Removal Tool.
Open your browser and go to Downloads, then click on the Junkware Removal Tool to install it.
Click on Run to initiate the installation.
To avoid potential conflicts, temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall. ... Read more
