Looking for HP Wireless Laser Comfort Mouse in Europe

Question: Looking for HP Wireless Laser Comfort Mouse in Europe

As title. This mouse is still available in the official HP store Uruguay in two versions (HP# LB423AA, HP# LB425AA) but I have not been able to find it anymore in Europe. Any advice on a place where this can still be purchased would be very appreciated!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My hp wirless laser comfort mouse scrolls horizontally and vertically but exhibits strange behavior. By strange I mean the pointer does not respond when it hovers over minimize, maximize or exit buttons on opened windows of applications. Also, when I remove it, this behavior persists in my laptop using its touchpad and so I have to reboot and omit the use of the comfort mouse entirely. What causes this?

I had to replace my keyboard after 3 1/2 yrs since the keys were sticking and the letters worn off. I bought the Microsoft Wireless Laser 6000 Mouse with the wireless keyboard. It works great with one problem. If I enable "allow this device to bring computer out of Standby" for either the mouse or the keyboard, the computer never goes into a full standby. The fan is always running and so are some other parts of the computer. If I dont configure the mouse or keyboard that way, the computer will go into regular and complete standby but will need to be turned on with the power button to bring it out of standby. The Receiver is USB so Im thinking the reason the computer doesnt completly power down is due to the receiver needing to be active. Is there a work around or do I just stick with using the power button?

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse and Wireless Comfort Keyboard

I'd stick with using the power button

Please understand that I am a simple person who wanted to buy a simple product that I thought would simply work: I'm not an IT expert and I have no idea what to do when things don't work as expected.
So I brought a bluetooth mouse, of Microsoft brand, just to make sure I didn't have any issues, after having already purchased three separate mice from three separate retailers, of which NONE worked.
I plug it in, it's working fine, then it stops.  I turn it off and on again, it works for about another 10 minutes then it turns off again.
This happens constantly; I am just continually turning off and on the stupid mouse instead of just being able to go about my business.  It comes back to life quite slowly.  In summary, it's a major pain in the ass.
I've looked at a few google results, but the advise seems extremely difficult to follow because a) I have nfi which version of Windows 8 I'm running and b) none of the menus which are referenced in the instructions seem to relate to my computer and I cannot
find any of these stupid menus (or whatever).
Can anyone tell me if this is a simple fixable problem (and how to simply fix it), or should I return the mouse because it's faulty?  I mean, is this going to be an ongoing problem or what?
Any help would be appreciated, but please keep it REALLY simple.
Ps. It just died AGAIN!!!

Several minutes, and sometimes less, after boot-up, the mouse becomes erratic, sometimes coming to a complete halt. Thinking it was either the interference of an outside signal or a build-up of static electricity, I have tried several things, including 1) rebooting, 2) disconnecting the power sources, 3) moving my external hard drive away from the mouse, 4) using different keypads to limit potential static build-up, 5) moving my entire system to a somewhat different location (fortunately, it's all on wheels) -- absolutely none of this works! Disconnecting the main power source and reconnecting it solves the problem sometimes, but only temporarily.

I believe I'm having some sort of signal problem with my wireless mouse. I play an online game in which you can hold down the right mouse button to look around. Occasionally it will get locked like that, and I have to click the button for it to fix itself.

I surmise that for whatever reason, I click and hold down the button, but when I release it, it is not registering that I have done so, so it just acts as if I am still holding the mouse button down. Clicking it once gets the signal sent that I have released it.

My friend reports having the same problem with his wireless mouse, yet far less frequently.

I've always had little annoying problems like this with wireless mice, and I'm beginning to think they are inferior in overall design to something much less complicated, like a wired mouse. Does anyone know what my problem might be?

Answer:Problems With Wireless Laser Mouse

Well, the connection between a wireless mouse and its receiver occasionally drops, sometimes for a millisecond or so, sometimes for longer. In your case... It'd seem a bit odd for it to only do that kind of errors.. Anyways, if you want to get rid of this problem, start by testing with a decent wired mouse... The wire is always there, whereas the wireless link isn't.

Hoping this is a simple fix.....
the scrolling on my mouse is choppy, when I scroll an IE page it has like a delay? Its not a smooth scroll. I have been all over my manual and support for it and cannot find anything that will change this. The settings offer up slow-fast options but it only causes the page to flip faster or slower duh lol sorry I am at a loss as to how to describe this. Let me know if I can tell you anything that would be of help.

Answer:MFST wireless laser mouse 6000

No one familiar? I have been digging but cannot find a solution. This really seems to be a simple fix with-in the controls but there is not any option that corrects this. You scroll and the page moves with a delay and a line as if going page by page. I had first thought it was a setting within IE but it also does this in notebook and other software programs. Even sliding the sidebar vs. scroll is choppy. Any suggestion would be nice thank you.

Hi

I am new to this forum and please forgive me if i didn't do something by the rules.
Here is my problem, i'll try to be as concise as possible.

Just yesterday i bought Wireless Keyboard/Mouse (laser) combo from Sweex (product code KB225US).

After two hrs of work the mouse pointer stopped responding. This happened after i rebooted my machine because of system freeze while playing with keyboard costumisation and copying files into the external HDD . I recall killing two or three processes, don't remember which one.
Receiver works ok on whichever USB port i put it into.
Mouse buttons work ok
Keyboard works ok
Pointer reacts (a little) only when exposed to direct light.
Batteries are new

Went back to the store this morning for replacement but it worked fine on their newer comps that were for sale. But same problem occurred with two older comps at work this evening.

My actions wereSwitched USB ports several times
Swithced off WiFi/ changed channel (to prevent interference)
Driver uninstall/reinstall several times (from CD/website)
Mouse uninstall/install (device manager)
Uninstall Wacom Intuos3 Ddriver

Nothing worked

I am willing to fight to the death for this mouse
Please help me. Should i go safe mode or registry or whatever? Just don't tell me to format, i have so many softwares installed. However, no other mouse software.

Specs:
WinXP Pro
Version 2002
SP2
AMD Athlon 64x2

Thanks in advance

New Years Greetings!
I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 (March 2007) with Vista.

I just installed the Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000...several times in fact!
First time it worked. Then after rebooting, it came up with a message with 3 choices:
- install driver (had already done that)
- don't ask again
- (I forget what this said)
So I said "don't ask again" and that's when the mouse went dead! Argh!
After uninstalling and installing from the disk TWICE, (pressing all the correct buttons on the transmitter and mouse and unconnecting the USB before this)
I finally downloaded the driver from online just in case it was the driver that came on the disc. It is Driver Version 6.20.173.0
Finally got it to work, HOURS LATER! but not on my mouse USB port which is the PS/2 Port that says IRQ 0x0000000C (12)

I had to move the USB connector to another port.
I spent [email protected]! trying to install and uninstall this and am coming to the conclusion that VISTA is the problem. Am I right?
I went to all the help features and did all the right things.
Device Manager says this new mouse is there. Says it is working properly.
But then nothing happened until I moved it to another port.
I would like to plug the USB into the normal mouse port. But it probably won't work. Why?
Am seriously considering a Mac for the first time since I started using a computer in 1980s! Thanks for any and all suggestions. Cheers!

Hi People, very simple question. Maybe I could get an answer to my question that I should had asked when I was buying. This wireless mouse uses two "AA" batteries or rechargeable batteries. Question: What about turning it off for the night or whenever I leave my computer? So that I don?t change them every two-three days. Thank you for your help with such a stupid question.

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

The mouse should go into a low power mode so it doesn't use that much battery power.

I am considering purchasing the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 as the Logitech MX Revolution I have had replaced twice since I initially purchased it in Feb 2008 has developed the same fault again, i.e. The Freespin wheel has begun to wear out and as such intermittently the Freespin feature stops working, the last MX Revolution suffered the same fault and eventually the fault got worse. Very disappointed as otherwise I find the mouse to be goodAnyway that's beside the point:I was wondering if anyone uses the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000, and the Intellipoint V6.2 software and could tell me if it is possible to set the mouse up with the Intellipoint software to allow the two buttons where your thumb goes to go back and forward a page on IE7 & Firefox?

Answer:Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000

I think you will find the software is upto v6.3 well thats what im using at this time with a 5000 and yes the buttons can be configured. The two buttons on the left side (thumbside) have been set to lower button (magnifier) top button (Back button)

I'm used to periodic lapses when Windows forgets that I have a Bluetooth mouse & keyboard but today's behaviour was really weird.
Fortunately I keep a wired mouse and keyboard strategically hidden just in case.

I just booted into W7 and noticed on the log-on screen that the mouse was behaving erratically - would judder around the screen rather than glide.

Anyway I uninstalled it once I'd booted up and went to reinstall it. It worked but Windows asked for a restart. This had never ever happened before. It even asked for the WEI to be refreshed! I've checked and I can't see anything different driver-wise. I've gone through the motions of uninstalling/reinstalling mouse and keyboard dozens of times but never had this happen.

Comments anyone?

I just received an MX3200 keyboard/MX600 mouse combination and installed it on my Vista 32 machine. (I had previously used a no-name wireless combo that ultimately wore out.) I installed the latest Logitech drivers, made sure batteries were fresh, that it was properly connected. However, the mouse is not behaving properly. It acts like a regular roller ball mouse does when the ball is jammed or on the wrong surface--the cursor doesn't track the mouse motions. I have to repeatedly swipe the mouse on the pad to just get it to move a little. In fact, I had to turn my pad over (i have a stiff pad designed for laser/optical mice) to get even lousy responsiveness. I've tried the mouse on soft pads, on the table, on a piece of white paper, to no avail. I made sure the BIOS enabled USB mice. I"ve checked control panel settings, the logitech utility, but nothing there improves the situation. Any advice?

(I used my wired mouse to create this note).

Hello all,

I am having an issue here and I am not quite sure how to resolve it. I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 and I also have a wireless home network using a D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router. I am using Windows Vista, and when I am using the mouse with my computer and the wireless network enabled the mouse pointer moves very erratically and does not move smoothly at all. The computer is plugged in directly into the router with an ethernet cable, it is not using a wireless NIC card.

I am fairly certain this is from interference from the wireless router, i have tried different channels to see if I would get less interference but none of that seems to help any. There does not seem to be any settings for my mouse where i can choose what channel it is running on, it runs on Bluetooth. The wireless router is running 802.11g and as far as I know, this and Bluetooth both run at 2.4ghz.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi,
I ordered a new MS wireless laser mouse 5000 because after several yrs my old one went bad. Well, I have retained the MS wireless comfort keyboard 4000. Now, when I try to install software through CD MS intellipoint 6.3, I essentially have the following

Now, I've tried about everything---all the downloads which  I could find, and apparently, I'm current w/ the software/drivers.  I just don't know what next to do; I'm not very experienced w/ these things.
Does anyone have any answers; those laser mice are expensive.

Hello,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-620-Wireless-Laser-Mouse/dp/B000QRI270

I have one of these and every so often it the mouse pointer sticks for several seconds which is annoying when gaming etc. I've only had it a few months of which its been for the last 2 to 3.

I haven't got the software installed as I see no reason why it would prevent it sticking + sucks up system resources.

It does it both on my desk which is a plastic surface with a bubbly effect and a mouse mat, both clean.

Is there anything else which could be causing this or is it just due to wireless-ness?

Thanks!

Hey, I recently bought a Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2, and when I put the install CD in, it says it is not compatible with my version of windows which is Windows 7. So I went online to look for the software on Microsofts website, and I found it. So everything installed ok, and the mouse was working. Only problem is whenever I try to open the Control Panel for the mouse, to change my buttons or something, nothing happens. It shows a loading cursor and than stops. So I'm currently having an issue with my Wireless Laser 8000 (Bluetooth) and hoping someone here might have some insight on it as my googlefu is not getting any results and I really don't want to replace the mouse as I'm using it in combo with the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 keyboard and pretty much love this setup right now.

As of late my mouse has decided to basically throw itself in to sleep mode after about 3-5 seconds of no activity. This doesn't happen all the time but it's getting kind of insane as bringing it out of sleep causes some serious mouse lag and/or quite a bit of moving or a click to reactivate it.

Anyone with this mouse ever run in to a problem like this or in general? The keyboard isn't running in to any issues in regards to losing signal and/or sleeping and not kicking in right.

Unfortunately the Wireless Laser 8000 has been discontinued so I can't even get a proper replacement for it and have to get one of the new bluetrack mice, but none of them are rechargeable .

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Wireless Laser 8000 - Mouse sleeps after a couple of seconds

Frist thing comes to mind for me is; have you checked the battery status to see if it needs replaced. On rechargable batteries, there is a set number of recharges it can have and they do go bad from time to time. I would start there first, replace the battery. Here's a link to the mouse if you have not already checked it out.

formatted to no avail trying to solve this problem and found out unplugging this from the USB port made the Screensaver and all come on.

but I have yet to find a fix for it when it is plugged in, the HID Filter or whatever update did not fix this issue, if nothing else was probably responsible for it more then anything.

I even went into device manager power settings to disable them to wake up the computer and it didnt fix the problem either.

anyone got any ideas?

Answer:Screensaver dont come on with MS Wireless laser Mouse and Keyboard 5000

You could try taking the mouse batteries out. This will rule out that it is making tiny detections of movement even if unintended, while away. If the screensaver comes on, then you know it's doing this. Then, you can try lowering the dpi it uses, if it has that ability. Basically, test it out like this for a minute.

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone has some suggestions for my new problem.

The problem:

My new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 installs on my laptop the way any normal mouse should. I have since decided to use this new mouse on my desktop PC instead, which was successfully using a wired mouse. When plugging the new mouse in, the New Hardware Wizard could not install the mouse. On top of all this, when I reverted back to my old "wired" mouse, the wizard could not install this mouth either. Something has gone wrong and now I can't install any mice. I have tried all three mice that I own, and it seems that my computer is just having trouble installing mice in general. All the mice install fine on other computer.

Behaviour:
-wizard says, "cannot install this hardware"
-mouse is listed in DEVICE MANAGER as "other device" with a yellow exclamation mark
-pointer arrow remains in the middle of screen, mouse doesn't work to move it around.
-USB ports work fine for my other USB devices. I've tried them all
-Microsoft Intellipoint software is up to date, installed and seemingly ok when I open it in control panel

Already done:
-tried replacing DRIVER.CAB from WinXP installation disc
-tried uninstalling the mouse in DEVICE MANAGER, unistalling Intellipoint, and starting the whole process over again.
-tried changing channels from the mouse to the receiver, but that isn't relevant to the problem anyways since I know the mouse w... Read more

I am running the RC build 7100 dual booted with XP.

When I first installed the RC it recognized my Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 as an HID Compliant Device. Mouse Properties showed a tab for 'Wheel' and allowed me to set the number of lines for scrolling. Unfortunately, it would not let me assign an action to the wheel button or the magnify button. But it did scroll smoothly no matter what application I was running. Especially important to me was that it allowed scrolling row by row down an Excel spreadsheet.

In an attempt to get the wheel and magnify buttons to work, I installed the Vista Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 driver. Now the wheel and magnify buttons can be assigned functions BUT scrolling with the wheel in Excel scrolls 13 lines at a time. The same is true for several other places. Mouse Properties does not offer 'Wheel' tab but does offer a 'Scrolling' tab. That tab just gives me a chance to adjust the scrolling rate but not the number of lines.

Is there a driver that will allow me to adjust the number of scroll lines as well as assign functions to the wheel and magnify buttons? Maybe another type of mouse is in order but I really don't want to spend the money right now.

Thank you very much.

Answer:Comfort Optical Mouse Scrolling Problem

Well here I am again to report all is well now.

I found the driver I was looking for in the most unlikely place. Microsoft Shop. I was looking for a replacement mouse and found the Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 was shown to be Windows 7 compatible. I downloaded the driver which seemed to be newer than the one I had. It took me a few minutes to get it set up the best I could and it worked acceptably. Scrolling with the wheel is not quite as smooth as it is under XP but it will do. Best of all -- No crashes yet!

I have a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 installed on my desktop under Win7 64bit. The wheel scrolls vertically 3 lines in most programs and in others it scrolls various number of lines. I have looked at Control Panel>>Mouse>>Wheel and can find only settings for speed, none for the number of lines to be scrolled. I have also changed the Scrollwheellines setting from 3 to 1 in the registry but still the wheel scrolls 3 lines or more. The system tells me there are no better mouse driver than the one I have installed.

This problem came about around a week or so ago and I am just getting around to trying to solve it.

My laptop has a Logitech wheel mouse and its driver allows me to choose the number of lines to be scrolled and the mouse responds accordingly.

What can I do to get the Comfort Mouse to scroll just on line at a time?

Thank you very much.

I have just installed the HP 5-Button Comfort Optical Mouse on my ASUS Laptop running Windos 10. By default, it worked, but there was no way to configure the buttons, so I downloaded a driver from the HP site. However, when I tried to Add A Device and it did a scan, it does not detect the HP Mouse. When looking at the Hardward Properties of the mouse, it's recorded as a Microsoft device, sort of (!). It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I came across your post about the mouse issue, and wanted to help! There seems to be no Windows 10 drivers available for that product, on the HP site.  This may be the reason why you are having some issues.  You can try uninstalling the mouse, and reinstalling it.  If you are having trouble with the install, then try using Microsoft Fix It.  I hope this helps. Please let me know if this information helps you resolve the issue by marking this post as  "Accept as Solution" , this will help others easily find the information they may be looking for.  Also, clicking the Thumbs up below is a great way to say thanks! Have a great day!

Trying to install and use all functions of the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500, a few added features a "normal" mouse would not have.  When trying to download the required driver I get an error message saying .NET Framework component is missing, cannot proceed with download.

Is this mouse and its drivers not compatible with my laptop?

I am running the Windows 7 RC build 7100 dual booted with XP.

One other very troubling aspect of the problem is that I get a Stop 124 Crash after some vigorous wheel scrolling through a many window.

Thank you very much.

Last week I bought a Microsoft Comfort Keyboard and Mouse and all seemed well at first but I now realise that the F lock key does not appear to have any effect and is not showing up on the screen when activated. This means that many keystrokes are not able to be accessed, such as the ampersand for email addresses and most shifted strokes are not as the character on the key. Any ideas please. Dave

Have even done a total clean install to get rid of any software or device conflicts, only has monitor, keyboard and mouse attached. Works fine with old cabled keyboard and mouse.

PS. works if I boot with old keyboard/mouse and then change over to wireless whilst running but when reboots same old problem

Hi NKS,

Does this thread describe the same problem you are having? Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A not recognized by new Vista Home premium

When you say you've uninstalled and reinstalled the original Microsoft driver, do you mean:You uninstalled the existing driver and let Windows 7 find the right driver on its own, via the web?Or, you installed the drivers that came with the keyboard (on the CD) over the existing drivers?Cheers,

I picked up a used Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 5000 off of Craigslist and really like it a lot - except for one very annoying thing - the function keys don't work as they are supposed to! Specifically, I always used the "save" function key (formerly F12 on my old, wired keyboard) and made things much faster for me when transcribing. Now, if I hit the F11 key (which is supposed to be the save key), it starts my transcription software (ExpressScribe) dictation and starts it in the v-e-r-y slow speed. What's up with that? It doesn't help if I try to reprogram the key - and yes, my function lock key is on. Any thoughts? I have to physically pick my hand up off the keyboard, go to my mouse and hit the little "save as" icon that I have added to my quick access toolbar ribbon (sigh) - really slows a girl down, ya know? Thanks for any suggestions!

Question: Wireless in Europe

Will my wireless laptop work in Europe?

or

Will the wireless laptop i buy in England work in the rest of europe?

Answer:Wireless in Europe

Yes, provided you have access to a Wireless (WiFi) Network wherever you are, and by "Wireless" you are referring to WiFi networking rather than a wireless internet service.

Normal WiFi network adapters as fitted to most or all commonly available laptops is all the same flavour.

I don't have any problems with my internet when I use a cable to connect, but my wireless internet is really slow. It takes 30 seconds or so to load my gmail page, and I can't use Gchat when just using wireless because the connection is so slow. This isn't a problem when I'm connected to wireless networks in other places- just with the KPN network I've set up in my apartment.

I'm using a Mac OSX
Version 10.4.11

My internet provider is KPN in the Netherlands, and I'm using an Experia Box.
I tried a few different public DNS servers, and that didn't work.

KPN couldnt help me with this, but I'd really appreciate it if someone here could!

Thanks.

Hello, I have a client that does a lot of traveling and when she gets to any hotel overseas it seems she is unable to connect to the wireless connection.  When she brings her laptop back to the states it connects wirelessly perfectly fine.  I've been trying to do as much research as possible on the issue but she is leaving once again this weekend.  If anyone has any clues as to why this is happening please let me know. System Specs: Thinkpad X60sIntel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABGWindows XP Pro SP3 (I believe)

Answer:Wireless Networks in Europe/Asia

So she can connect in US hotels? I've traveled all over the US, Europe and Asia, and found that hotel wireless connections are the same everywhere. There's nothing unique about European or Asian hotel wireless connections. If you just open Outlook, and try to download your email, that usually doesn't work. You have to first open a web browser and go through whatever login process the hotel requires. Suggestions:Take her to any hotspot (not a nightspot) and watch her connect, to make sure she has the process right. When she is in an overseas hotel, have the hotel IT people walk through how to connect. I can think of many reasons why it may occasionally prove difficult to connect, but if she can connect reliably in US hotels, I can't think of any systemic reason she would never be able to connect in European or Asian hotels. But maybe someone else will... Edit: This definitely isn't anything to do specifically with the X-Series. Something else is going on here.Message Edited by bananaman on 01-08-2009 03:55 PM

Question: laser mouse ?

what does a laser mouse do that a normal mouse cannot or an optical mouse cannot. I thought it might be a point at the screen laser curser but this seems to be wrong, I have looked on the web but none seem to explain the difference. any one explain in simple terms please.

Answer:laser mouse ?

A simplified explanation is that they read the surface more often and are therefore more accurate for precise movement. Usefull in graphics applications and games.

I recently purchased a Logitech Laser mouse and I noticed if I'm on the internet for awhile when I go to use the right mouse bottom to save a file I get a error 8007ffff message.
I have Windows XP with service pack 2 and never ever had this problem with any other mouse before. The only way that I see to fix the problem is to shut down my browser and open back up again(I use Internet Explorer 6.0.) Is there an easy way to fix this problem????

Answer:Laser Mouse Problem

There are many and varied reasons for this error in IE, it has been around since Windows 95 and in all versions since, but I don't think your Logitech mouse is one of the reasons at all.

One common reason involves the Google Toolbar, if you have it installed then uninstall and reinstall it again.

Also clear out your Temporary Internet files.

I'm thinking of buying a new mouse as my old Microsoft explorer 2.0 has started to perform poorly. I had a look at some Logitech mice today and I came accross this one:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=10917

Now I'm not specialized in this and so would like some advice. I like the design and the laser capability of the one I linked above but didn't really have time to examine others.
I'm not necessarily looking for a game mouse with thousands of buttons on it but a good response time one to work on my wood surfaced desk.
Also, it MUST to be wireless and would prefer laser as it's more precise.

Any advise please?

Answer:New Laser Mouse (advise)

It looks nice, only thing a lot of people look for in cordless mice is the batteries - the fact that they take AA batteries means they'll need replacing more often whereas if you got, say an MX1000, it has a charging cradle so doesn't require you to replace the batteries.

Just a thought....

Hello,

I have a problem, so i'm running at lenova g550 laptop with a creative fatal1ty 1010 mouse. I just recently bought this laptop and moved my desktop mouse to my laptop however it does not work. It will click but the mouse does not move. I need it for work/gaming because my pc is fried. The mouse will work sometimes, but other times it won't(still click-able but will not move). I have added a mouse pad surface (which shouldn't matter since it can be used on any flat surface) Tried updating the drivers, uninstalling - reinstalling, different usb port, been through device manager settings, still nothing. Usually when my mouse is active the side will light up and the sensitivity button will glow. I know it's not the mouse, but I don't know exactly what could be wrong.

Please help this is driving me crazy! :cry:cry:cry:cry

I have a Perixx laser mouse and every so often I hear the windows sound that it has disconnected from the usb (link below).  My mouse become unresponsive for a short while until I hear the sound that it has reconnected and all works fine again. I would say it just does it randomly just now and then, but I cannot figure out whats wrong with it. I have tried some fixes that I thought would help, like changing it to a different usb port and I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I also looked on their website and it tells you to just use the window driver, so there is no manufacture driver for it. The only other thing I could think of is that I use a hard mouse mat and sometimes it gets oily from using it by hand. Do you you think this could cause it? That maybe the laser has run over a oily surface or something? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perixx-MX-2000-Programmable-Gaming-Laser/dp/B0083H4NG4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374162179&sr=8-1&keywords=perixx+mouse

I live in Japan, and recently got this mouse for about 40 bucks. My old Microsoft laser mouse (the 6000 model I think) was started to fall apart on me and stop working randomly, so I found the Elecom mouse and got it because it had a decent dpi (1600) and wasn't super expensive.

Now I'm starting to regret my purchase. I don't know why, but the mouse lags A LOT. When I first move it after idle it takes a second, which is ok, but there are times when I am using it and it lags or freezes up completely for as much as 3 seconds or so. It also slows or skips sometimes when I am moving it around the screen, either taking a huge movement to make the pointer move a small distance, or making a tiny movement move the pointer straight past what I was trying to click. My old laser mouse never had this kind of problem, so I am wondering if anyone can advise me on anything?

I'm not sure if there is signal interference, either through the desk or from other wireless objects, or if the mousepad (a black non-reflective one, but I also tried a freebie plastic one with white and blue and a picture on it) is messing up the laser, or if this is a sign that the battery is already dying, or what. I just got the mouse about a week ago, so this is pretty annoying, especially when I am trying to play games.

Firstly, I hope this is the correct Forum for this post.

I have a New HP650 Laptop with Win 7 64bit Home Premium installed.

I purchased a Bluetooth Laser Mouse BT which I installed from the disc provided.
Initialy the Mouse worked fine, untill, win 7 went into standby mode. When I went back into Windows, the Mouse would no longer work. Nothing I attempted would recover it. Switch Off, Switch On, Press ID Button to reconnect, nothing.
I Un Installed the Program and Drivers.
I then Re Installed and it worked fine, untill, and you know the rest of the story.

This problem seems to associated with win 7 going into Standby Mode and Recovery.

Does anyone have a clue about this Nasty.

Regards
Owen Carlton

Answer:Bluetooth Laser Mouse BT

Does the BT transceiver plug into a USB port? Check that the two options shown below are Disabled. The first is accessed from Device Manager under the USB Hub Properties. The second is accessed through the Power Options in the Control Panel then clicking on Change Plan Settings (for plan you use) > Change advanced power settings. There seems to be a common problem with USB ports after the PC goes into hibernation.

Question: Laser Mouse niggle

Hi guys,A few months ago, I ended up with a PC-Line (PCL-FL1) Laser Mouse from PC-World.It has been a great item so far,,,, but yesterday it started to 'play up' (I think that's the technical term !).It seems that the curser is now a bit,,, well sort of 'wobbly'. It sort of flickers/jumps about a bit around where it should be. It isn't constant, but every 2 or 3 times I move it.It's a USB item & I have tried it in several sockets, but it's the same.I don't have access to another unit to try it on.Any ideas out there please ?Am about to call PC-W, but I didn't keep the receipt for this,,,, but if there is a known problem with this model, it would be nice to tell them.thanks for reading this,,,,,

Answer:Laser Mouse niggle

Try Uninstalling it from Device Manager. But first before you do the above, connect your old mouse to use to reboot so that it as two mice's reboot and it should reinstall the mouse. The one to uninstall is a HID-compliant mouse

Its probably "MTI"(the letter I not the number 1) not "MT1" Check http://www.acrox.com.tw/driverdownload.asp for drivers.

If the MTI driver doesn't work, try a few of the others as mouse drivers are usually fairly standardized.

You can get the latest version of Logitech's Mouseware from here: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=1793,contentid=6003

Question: Labtec laser mouse

Hi,My 1 and a half month old mouse is great except that the 4 way scroll has stopped working. I noticed this some time ago but just thought it was the programme i was using. The software can't have corrupt as the 2 side buttons work fine. Also, while in a thread, could anyone please tell me what beta actually is?Thanks

Answer:Labtec laser mouse

Beta - When software is being released, the first release to the public is usually called an alpha release (alpha being the first letter in the greek alphabet); a second, more stable release, is called a beta (the second letter in the greek alphabet) and this is usually the last one before a final release.Alpha + beta = alphabetThere are many other steps but that's just a quickie answer...Sorry I can't help with the mouse but maybe a reinstall of the software will help.

Hi  As part of my home setup I'm using the Lenovo BT Laser Mouse. After upgrade to W10, everything works fine (sofar!), but bluetooth can't connect/pair with my BT Laser Mouse, but my K810 KB works fine, as does my wife's MS Sculpt Mouse when I pair it. Any ideas? jjwho

Answer:Y2P - Bluetooth Laser Mouse

Hi, Do try:- force update BT drivers from Windows Update (Control Panel - device manager - select your BT adapter and in the driver tab check for online driver update- in BT settings turn off, wait a sec, then turn it back on- delete device and pair it again I had the same problem and this did it for me.

My T61, with the 3945abg wireless adapter, cannot acces the wireless channels 12 and 13. I'd love to use these due to the others being jammed.I read that this setting is wired in the card, but I have also foud posts for Linux that suggest, that a setting for the driver can still influence this property. Is there a way to change the region to Europe under Windows XP SP3?

Answer:T61 - change wireless setting to Europe to enable channels 12 and 13

(seems like the post title wasn't quite optimal. Edited now)

I'm trying to install a Trust MI-7570K laser mouse on my XP PC. I followed the very basic installation guide but couldn't get the PC to respond (the Device Manager does see the USB transmitter/receiver). I exchanged the mouse at the retailer but that one doesn't get any PC response either. Trust support simply referred me to the installation sheet. Has anyone got one of these mice to work with XP?

Answer:Trust MI-7570K laser mouse

Have you first pressed the button on the receiver then quickly press the one on the bottom of the mouse. It will not work without you do this

OS=windows 7 (64) and Laptop is HP dv6t 2000

G500 logitech wired usb mouse was working intermittently for 6+ months and now has stopped altogether. (not receiving power from usb port, no mouse capability, not showing in devices and printers). The lights on the side of the mouse do flicker very occasionally as if it is trying to work.
The mouse does work on another laptop and another usb wired optical mouse will not work on the hp laptop in question. Additionally, of significance (I think) is that a thumb drive in USB and a new wireless mouse works on the laptop. Touch pad works.
Tried to date:
?Uninstalled set point drivers for mouse and installed latest version
?Ran System restore for a time period 30 days prior and mouse started working intermittently again but after a few days it failed
?Deleted hub routes under USB controller in device manager and restarted the laptop (per suggestion on a google search)
?Looked at device manager and noted no errors on any device
?Clicked on update drivers on all devices shown in device manager under headings of: ?Mice and other pointing devices?, ?USB controllers?, and ?Human Interface Devices? and all show latest drivers and working properly
?Shut down and unplugged laptop and removed battery (again google suggestion)

I am hopefully that the brains on this forum might have a suggestion to fix. The google search shows that there are a number of folks reporting this issue but I do not see many suggestions and none ... Read more

Answer:help please ...Wired USB laser mouse not working

Did you reinstall SetPoint? Try the latest version.

I currently have a Creative Optical 3000 mouse, it's about a year and a half old, nothing wrong with it except for the cord. It just gets in the way sometimes and it's starting to aggravate me so I think it's time to go with a wireless. I don't do any gaming, im just a net surfing, music burning kind of guy. The only two surfaces I use the mouse on is my desk and by bed, my optical performs well on both surfaces with no problem. Laser is the newest technology, but is it overkill for me or is it worth the extra money?

Answer:Upgrading mouse: Optical or Laser?

if you want to go wireless, either get an MX1000 or G7 from logitech

Hi all!
I have a cordless laser mouse that has decided to act up. Sometimes it won't let me drag items across the screen - it seems to disengage itself. Occasionally, it acts as though it has been clicked twice instead of once. It even ignores clicks! I have changed batteries multiple times, and used compressed air on the bottom. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer:Problem with my cordless laser mouse

how far is it from the reciever? Are there any obstacles in the way (like a desk)?

I am in the market for a new mouse. I am thinking about going cordless this time as I am tired of the dealing with the cable.
I do play a lot of games. Mostly MMOLRPG and occasionally FPS. I am just wondering if any one as having good to say about the Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse ?

Answer:Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse

the G7 is one of the best, if not the best wireless mouse there is ATM. it's been updated from the MX1000, which is really good.

A couple of months ago, I purchased a new Logitech MX610 cordless, laser mouse. I was hoping to use this in conjunction with my system which has a Gigabyte K8N-SLI motherboard, 3200+ processor and 1 gig of DDR. My PCI express graphics card is only a Radeon X300 SE. Since installing the new mouse it has been very erratic with the cursor, so I have been trying to rectify this fault by following all the advice on Logitech website. After a couple of months I have tried everything possible, including putting the small USB connector onto a USB extension, so that it is away from the main computer system. Still, after it has warmed up for a minute or two, the mouse cursor jumps everywhere on the VDU. Has anyone else experienced this with this mouse, and been able to rectify it. I do like the build of this mouse, so I would like to be able to use it. Thanks for any help given.

Answer:erratic logitech laser mouse

Oddly the problem has been solved for many with Logitech mice by uninstalling the Logitech software and using the default Windows drivers for a mouse.

I've been having this problem for months, somehow it would disappear, lately it's not disappearing. Today I was trying to figure out what could be the cause, my only culprit is my laser mouse.

This is what happens, I'll reboot the computer, everything boots fine as usual. I'll begin to use the computer, opening a program the mouse cursor will jump or it will take effort to do a simple double-click, and finally the worse is all my icons will grow to as large as they possible can, there is no solution but to reset, if I try to shrink the icons to their original size, I can't, because they will instantly grow to the largest size. I'm making a good guess that the laser is not working probably anymore, what do you think ?

I originally was thinking my ram, silly thought, then I thought maybe my monitor, and I came the conclusion my mouse, only thing left.

Answer:Laser Mouse - Oh not it's growing Icons

Since you consistently refuse to provide you system specifications, how do you expect any help?
