I've purchased a Dell XPS 13 9360 and I've had problems with the video flickering. It happens about every 5-10 minutes for about 5 seconds.
I've spent probably 30-40 hours trying to resolve the issue and I'm pretty fed up with it over the last 2-3 months. I didn't notice it enough to decide ultimately to get my money back but it is too late.

I've run the diagnostic tool, and it apparently failed. A technician was sent to my house to replace a part of the computer not related to video, and the part was refurbished. I declined opening the device up and wanted to get my money back. Apparently this test always fails unless the computer is plugged in apparently. I found this out after the technician left...good I didn't let him replace a non-related part!
I've realized my 30 day return window has passed. Gulp! That's after spending a few hours here and there trying to resolve the issue. Now I have a machine with an issue that is going to take plenty of hours to diagnose.
I've updated the BIOS, updated the Video drivers, to no avail. I've now engaged Dell Chat support, who has stepped me through the entire process of doing this all over again.
At this point, I've asked for an escalation. Normally this has been easy in the past, but I'm being forced to step through a repeat of the troubleshooting process which I've already accomplished
At the end of the day, I'm seriously regretting this purchase. Until I get either a replacement, or my money back, I've decided to write reviews preventing someone from making the same mistake. This is a top of the line machine, there should be no reason why I can't get resolution in a timely manner without having to sacrifice 2-3 hours out of my day to watch someone remote to my machine and install drivers.
This is a warning to others, stay away from this product. I rarely have purchased any laptop in the last 10 years that haven't had some major issue with it, and Dell is no exception. I'm now stuck with a time burden and a device that I do not want. You really have to stay on top of electronic companies these days....they will literally attempt to *** all the time away. The real purchase price of this machine is now double for the time wasted that I will not get back. Perhaps sharing my woes preventing others from buying this device will help
Apparently from what I am reading this issue has been around much longer than the 9360 version of the XPS 13. That is unfortunate.
The service help, although very kind, chooses not to address my request for escalation or talking about a replacement item. Im having to restore my device to a previously configured configuration. Does that mean I'm not entitled to update the drivers, ever? I dictate the terms of this agreement, just because you already have my 2500 dollars for the laptop does not mean that I can keep spending hours daily debugging.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

I got my brand new XPS 13 9360 a few days ago and I experience a very strange phenomenon : randomly, I get the whole screen flicker/flash to black very quickly once or a few times in a row. Then it doesn't flicker for a long time : it seems to happen 1 to 3 times in an evening for example.
Do you experience such a phenomenon ? I've tried tweaking the settings of the video driver but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure but the problem may have started when I upgraded the BIOS from 1.0.7 to 1.2.3 on the 14th of December.
Please help, I don't know if I should send it back or ask for a motherboard or screen swap.

You're not alone! I'm experiencing the exact same issue on my XPS 13 9360 (QHD/i7 7500u/16gb ram/512gb) which I received last Monday. With mine, It seems to start happening after around 30 mins of use, either from a cold boot or coming from sleep.
I too believe that it started happening after updating to 1.2.3 BIOS. Unfortunately it is not possible to rollback to 1.0.7 so there's no way to be certain. I've tried the latest video driver from Intel as well as the version listed on Dell's site but the issue remains...

Greetings everyone.
For approximately one month I have experienced problems with the touchpad of my laptop.
I randomly get a Code 10 in the I2C HID Device (a request for the HID descriptor failed). It renders the touchpad unusable or sometimes it just limits its functionality (like scrolling with two fingers and other gestures). I have already tried all available versions of the Intel Serial IO Driver and made a hard reset of the computer with no success. 
At the present time all drivers have been updated and Windows 10 is in its build 16299.19.
Could it be a hardware issue? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me out here. 
I've just purchased a new XPS 13 and it's great except for one issue - hibernation is happening too quickly from sleep. 
I've already tried all the power management settings to no avail.
I have set my "hibernate after" setting to 720 minutes. But even after 30 minutes of sleeping, the laptop will automatically go into hibernation mode. 
Is there something overriding my "hibernate after" settings?

I am planning on buying the dell xps 13 9360 (Kaby lake) FHD. I've heard that the dell xps 13 has an adaptive brightness issue that persists for many user and Its seems that Dell has provided a fix for the QHD version of the laptop but the fix for the FHD. Or has the issue been completely fixed on the dell xps 9360 FHD? Thanks.

Here's the video, so you can see what I'm talking about. Basically, XPS 13 9360 QHD, has this issue when in a dimly light room, the brightness will be automatically set to the max, and won't be changed by either bios settings (you can adjust brightness level there for battery/AC), latest driver settings, or by keyboard keys.

It'd work normally, but then it'd start going bonkers, but then it'd go back to functioning normal.
Or just stay at max brightness.
I tried disabling DBC, installing latest graphics driver from Dell website, or Intel website using this method, installing latest bios, and other recommended drivers, disabling sensor monitoring service in "services.msc", didn't help.

I recently purchased the XPS 13 9360 (Kaby Lake) and have been using for a couple days.
I've noticed coil whine in the form of static sounds coming from the left side of the laptop, near the power connector.
There is very minimal noise when the laptop is on battery, where the noise is audible when your ear is next to the keyboard.
However, when connected to the power outlet the static becomes quite audible at a normal viewing distance. The static occurs frequently (especially when scrolling).
I tend to work in quite spaces with little ambient room noise, as I am easily distracted.
Is there a solution to resolving this coil whine issue? I feel like at this price point this should not be an issue (especially since is was well known in the earlier models).

Only had it a few days, first they had to replace the touch pad which wasnt working properly and now it seems to be blue screening randomly. It mostly happens when the laptop is locked it will just BSOD and restart.

Hi everyone,
Windows 10 updated itself to the Creators Update this week and I notice that my Fingerprint Senor will not work after sleep mode.
When I check the Device Manager it disappeared from device manager and if I choose the show hidden device it says the Synaptics VFS7552 Touch Fingerprint Sensor is disconnected.

I have updated the latest driver from Dell webpage and problem is persists. The only way to "fix" it is to reboot the Laptop and the Fingerprint Sensor will work but when it goes to sleep it will disconnect itself again.

Do anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi all
The bottom of my screen is no longer visually functioning. A horizontal band occupies the lower inch of the screen. All updates have been loaded.

- When screen is mirrored, the mirrored screen works normally and does not display the error
- Screen shots of the issue do not display the issue in the screenshot
- Diagnostics for the screen seem to fail with regards to colours, 
-the touchscreen function still works but it's a guess what icon im touching
-Diagnostics, F12 and D on start up dont seem to resolve the problem

Whatever caused it, the display needs to be replaced.  If the system is under warranty, call Dell to have that done.
If the system is out of warranty, note that the entire upper assembly - screen, touch panel, back cover, hinges, cables, etc. needs to be replaced -- the screen is not a separately replaceable component.

Just a few days ago, after I had updated a few drivers on my laptop, every time I shutdown now I get a BSOD with the message being DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the cause of the crash being nwifi.sys. Can anybody help me stop this blue screen from showing up again?

I'm hoping somebody reads this and does the quick test below to help see if I found a Lenovo Helix display issue, or if just mine is defective! I just received my Helix Core i7/8GB RAM/256GB SSD/4G LTE.  (I have udpated all software, drivers, and Windows.  Screen set at normal 32 bit color, 50/60 Hz refresh rates tested - default options unchanged.) Under some circumstances, I can see some flickering on the screen, like on an old CRTs when you set the refresh rate to very low.  I've done some tests, and here is one quick way to reproduce it....can someone else try it so I can see if my Helix is defective? Keep your helix in normal portrait mode.  Open the Windows sticky notes (the built-in app since Windows 7 that lets you put a "postit" on the desktop).  Put that note in the upper right corner, so it takes like a quarter of the screen.  Leave it on for 2-3 minutes at least (5 minutes best). Then swipe on the right side to bring the charms menu, click settings: now the larger blue vertical bar showing settings/shutdown button etc shows up.  Right there, on the blue bar, where the sticky notes used to be underneath, mine flickers a LOT sometimes, and sometimes it's just a little.  It goes away after a few minutes.  It's exactly and only where the sticknotes were (the rest of my desktop pic is blue). It's not a software bug.  The issue persists on that spot of the screen if you immediately reboot, and progres... Answer:Help!! Helix Screen Issue - Refresh/Flicker in Some Cases: Do You Have the Same Issue?!

Could anyone please help? I'm really trying to find out if this is a generic issue, or if my Helix tablet is faulty... It's an easy test, just leave the Windows yellow sticky notes app for 2 minutes in the upper right hand corner of your deskotp, then bring the blue "Settings" vertical bar on the right side that appears after you select the settings icon in the charms menu, and see if you see anything weird...flickering on the screen like if there was a refresh rate issue just there.  Screen at 50% brightness or more to see it more easily. I've done more tests, and it looks like this happens more when switching from yellow to blue.   Much less or none with other colors.  Hence the test above. Weird! Screen/CPU temperature has almost no effect.  Same issue in other spots in the screen, but less.  Same type of  issue at any brightness, but more visible at FULL birghtness.  Help!  Thank you!

Just received the XPS 13 (9350) last week and I've been having some intermittent black screen flickering that normally occurs in short bursts of 4-5 short black outs within a span of two or three seconds. Tech support updated all the drivers and such, but I'm still experiencing the issues. Has anyone had similar issues and possible solutions?
I looked at previous posts and the screen flickering is not where it actually distorts things on screen, it literally just looks like it flashes on and off. Any help is appreciated!

I have a Dell XPS 2720 Touch Screen AIO, running with WIN 10.  For the past 6 months it has been blinking completely off for 1-2 seconds.  It appears to be doing this when there is a lot of WHITE space on the screen.  The desktop screen has plenty of color and there is no blinking.
I have updated all the drivers, including Nvidea, and have upgraded the BIOS to A13.  I was hoping to be able to adjust the "Brightness" but it looks like that is not an option.
Is there a video board that can be replaced?

For some reason I get a screen flicker that is noticeable and irritating. It happens with every BIOS after 1.2.00. Not sure why, but if I want to get rid of screen flicker I have to back to BIOS 1.2.00. Has anyone else experienced this problem and/or found a fix? I think it is rather unacceptable for a $2,200 laptop with a 4K screen to have screen flicker issues and for it to continue to be a problem with the last three BIOS releases.

I have been having as of late (the past couple months) or so noticed that my flat screen monitor (MAG Innovision) 17" LCD.

I have gone through all the Nvidia adjustments and have even tried re-setting the defaults.
All to no avail, Can somebody offer a solution?
I am sure I have the latest drivers installed for the monitor.

I have a XPS 15 9550 FHD laptop with all the latest drivers and updates applied.
When I turn on my laptop after enter the password and login, my screen flicker in a few minutes, sometime I have problem with blue screen with error: igdkmd64.sys, stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. Hi, I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7559 for school, my first laptop ever. It took me about 6 months to finally decide on a laptop, and I'm very happy with's beautiful. But, I've had two problems with the display. First, there is some slight yellow discoloration on the right half, not a big deal, just my ocd, probably just some backlight bleed or something. But the big issue is that the screen brightness flickers constantly. I can only really notice it on the lower brightnesses, but I use those so its a problem. I've tried EVERYTHING. Tons of driver fiddling, power option fiddling. I cant tell if it flickers in the bios screen or lcd bist, but I've disabled both NVidia and intel HD graphics drivers and no matter what I do, it still flickers. This makes me think that this Is a hardware issue. If anyone has some insight, I would really appreciate it. Should I send it in for repair, or just wait a bit as I read online somewhere that the lcd backlight needs to "settle in" for it to stop flickering with takes a decent amount of screen on time. Sorry for the long post, but this is my first pc and I'm a little bit picky about the function of my things. Thanks.

I am new and this is my first post.
I have had a random screen flicker that happens when i am on the internet, one or two times a week. happen after a driver up date i think. I installed the newest driver for the Intel 530  chip set  to fix the problem when i did that the screen flicker like made until it clicked install new driver and finish, but the screen still flickers but only one time now week it seems 
Any ideas ? should i return the laptop or is it a driver problem

I SUGGEST NO ONE BUYS THIS PRODUCT I had bought  HP Pavilion Notebook 14-al111TX ALL in the month of February which turned out to be defected.My laptop's screen has an issue of flickering which refused to be resolved dispite various upgrades and what not by the HP service station. HP then replaced it with another laptop of the same model (Serial Number: 5CD63535Q1) which seems to have the same issue. We spoke to the DOA team yesterday who promised me that a new DOA letter for the REPLACED LAPTOP will be in my inbox by the end of the day yesterday. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT TILL NOW. YOUR TEAM CLEARLY DOES NOT LIVE UPTO IT?S WORD. I have wasted enough time going back and forth with their team and have lost a lot of work, close to INR 1.5 lakhs. I did not sign up for this when I was buying an HP laptop. I was not aware of the fact that HP products were so terrible and the service incompetent. This should shameful for a company of their repute. What has their Q&A team been doing that I received a malfunctioning product second time in a row? I have suffered enough mental trauma trying to argue my case with various points of contact, lost working hours trying to get in touch with your team and coordinating everything, and lost enough business. Hi All,Just recently purchased my first lenovo. I have run across an odd issue and im not sure if its software related or not. It seems every blue moon when I am scrolling theres a slight flicker almost as if the display driver crashes for a split second. I can not reproduce the problem as the issue is sporadic. Ive updated all drivers and am starting to get a little concerned that I may have a lemon. Any ideas?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7568 laptop that is less than a week old. I also purchased a Dell HDMI to VGA adapter so that I can use an external monitor with a VGA input as a 2nd screen. 
Whenever I connect to the external monitor my laptop screen, not my external monitor screen, flickers a couple of times a minute. I have checked all the connections of the adapter and VGA port and they seem fine. It appears there is a problem that is encountered when I plug in the external monitor that causes the laptop screen to flicker occasionally. 
If anyone has any suggestions to fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

When I connect my Dell XPS 13 9350 laptop with QHD display to an external monitor through the DA200 USB-C to HDMI connector the external monitors flicker constantly (laptop is fine-no flickering). Sometimes it works for like an hour then starts to flicker or longer so its not consistent. Below are the troubleshooting steps Dell has walked me through (including sending me a new DA200 part) to no avail:
- Dell has sent me a new DA200 USB C to HDMI part
- They have upgraded the Thunderbolt drivers and all other relevant drivers to latest ones (as of June 15 2016)
- I have tried on different monitors (5-6) and tried different HDMI cables.
Dell doesnt seem to know what to do now. THey have refunded my DA200 part purchase and told me to buy a separate HDMI to USB-C cable to test. If that fails it seems they will replace the motherboard. They say it could be an issue with the external monitors not being compatible with QHD, but this is not documented anywhere (they admit) and I havent heard anyone else having this problem on the internet and surprised every single person using this setup has QHD external monitors. This is an unworkable situation for me as I work in PC labs all day connected to external monitors.
Any advice?

Hello, I am having a screen flickering issue for some time now and I have narrowed down the issue to my graphics cards and settings.

I have an Asus x73s Laptop with both Intel HD* Graphics 3000 and an Nvidia 610m GPU.

The screen flickering I experience is when I am on my windows 7 desktop. It doesnt matter if I have any programs open or none at all my screen usually flickers. Sometimes it can go hours without doing this. I have no external display available to connect it to through HDMI to check if it happens on an external display.

I have sent my laptop in for repair under warrenty for this before and they said it was not an issue with my screen after a comprehensive hardware test and is a graphics or driver issue. But because the repair depot also sucks balls their solution was to backup my files, wipe and restore my laptop... That fixed it for a few months but the flickering is back.

I have gone through my Nvidia Control Panel and made sure my Nvidia 610m is set to be the priority GPU my laptop uses and have turned off the power saveing settings on the Intel Graphics control panel as i almost always have my laptop plugged in anyways.

The strangest thing I have only just noticed today is there is no screen flicker when playing games or when a game is alt+tabbed in the background.

Today i woke up and on my laptop, the starting up is fine(as per normal nothing happen here), about 5mins later on my desktop screen, it starts to flicker and eventually turning the whole screen to white. Any idea what has happen to my computer?

Hi There,
I am facing issue with Dell laptop where as i can see Pink and Green screen which flickers , I checked screen with "Power+D" button and it did show those lines in all colours expect  white.
Please let me know how to fix it, do i need to replace LCD? Its not even 1 year old.

I bought the Inspiron 15 7000 (1TB HDD, non-touch) two months ago and have noticed that my screen flickers slightly intermittently. I'm adding a link to a video showing the problem at the bottom of this message.
I first noticed the problem during my first week of using this laptop and assumed it was a driver or software issue. Since then I've searched through forums to see if someone else has a similar thing going on. A lot of people have commented negatively about the screen for this model but that's mostly because of the colors and low brightness.
I have installed all the latest drivers (video, graphics, BIOS) from Dell's website as well as played with power settings (Dell Power Manager Lite and Intel's Graphics Properties) but to no avail. I should also point out that having the laptop on battery or plugged in makes no difference and the problem persists.
Please let me know if there's anything else I should try before sending it back to Dell. Thank you!

Hello, I would love to ask for some help!
I've recently purchased the newer Dell XPS 13 9360 Non-touch (not the 2 in 1) and am having some trouble with using an external monitor. The screen (on the external monitor) keeps on flickering and has a very unstable connection. 
I've searched and found that apparently lowering the power output of the WIFI network adapter can fix this problem. 
The problem is that the current XPS's wifi adapter doesn't allow the power output to be changed. The previous fixes were geared towards intel wifi adapters.
The general power settings for the computers doesn't show wifi card power controls.

I have updated all the drivers for the computer including the wireless adapter. Still the options doesn't change.

Has anyone found a way to get a stable external monitor to work with the Killer Wireless Adapter cards?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For what it's worth: For me (XPS 13 9360, QHD, i7, 16 GB, Killer WiFi), external screens are perfectly stable, even with wireless being on relatively high throughput load, albeit not high power (energy) load.
I am connecting both HDMI and DisplayPort displays, each with cheap native USB-C adapters (i.e. through Thunderbolt). I also have full success with a Dell DA200, through its built-in HDMI graphics adapter.

I have the Dell XPS 13 9360 and have been using the Dell USB type-C adapter to connect to wired Ethernet network. I have a problem when waking up the laptop from suspend. VGA and USB on the adapter continue to work well after wake from suspend but the Wired Network functionality of the adapter is not recognized.
Note that if I unplug and replug the adapter it is recognised correctly.
The adapter is using the driver r8152 for wired networking, I am using Linux Mint 18.1 (Ubuntu 16.04 based) and kernel
Besides this I think almost everything works perfect with the laptop

I've purchased a new  Dell XPS 13 9360 in the last month. At the checkout was the recommendation to purchase a Dell PW7015MC Power Companion. I thought it would be good but it doesn't charge the Dell XPS13. It charges my phone no problems from the standard USB however the laptop doesn't show as charging at all. The light on the end of the USB C cable that goes into the laptop is on. The power companion is at full charge (5 little lights) but the laptop just ignores the companion (no indication that it is being charged at all).

Appreciate any advice before I contact Dell Support for a DOA/Warranty replacement.

Question: dell XPS 13 9360

So there are couple of problems i am experiencing:
1) slow start up
2) when i pauze a video and hit play again, there is a 2-3 second lag of no audio
3) slow SSD benchmark
I recently posted a topic about the slow SSD and i already bought a new dell since then. This time however its an i7 instead of i5 and its also a different brand of hard drive.. Yet i am experiencing the same problem.. so this cant be hardware related then right.
And can all these problems have to do with the same issue? something that makes the SSD perform poorly?

4) simultaneous use of ,microphone and keyboard/mouse doesnt work??
its not normal right? that so many things are wrong?

Hi all,
I had just bought a Dell XPS 13 9360 from the local Dell Direct Store running Windows 10 (64-bit) a few months ago. 
Recently, it has been rather problematic, with occasional flickering screen and unexpected shutdown errors. For the flickering screen part, it seems it is a common problem for many Dell XPSes but solutions given did not solve my problem.
What I am more concerned about is the unexpected shutdown. 
Under Dell SupportAssist desktop app, application errors regarding DropboxOEM.exe are shown, as well as unexpected shutdown errors. When I entered BIOS from one-time boot menu, the shutdown error seems to be ASF2 Force Off. The computer passed all diagnostic tests and the problems lingered, strangely.

I want to upgrade the stock 128 GB SSD to a 250GB Samsung Evo 960 PCIe NVMe SSD? Is it possible? Has anyone else done this and was able to get full speeds of the SSD without any issues?

The 128G drive is SATA -- the larger capacity ones are NVMe.  Yes, you can upgrade the drive to the Evo version.  You do NOT want the Pro version for a notebook like this -- it uses too much power and will produce too much heat as a result.  There's also no point in a high-performance Pro version, as the system isn't designed with 4-lane PCIe access for the NVMe drive (for that you need a large mobile workstation or gaming portable, or a desktop system).

Hi. I received my laptop yesterday and it was working fine all day yesterday. At night, I put it on Hibernate to turn it off.
But then when I tried to start the laptop today morning, it just refuses to start. I press the Power button, the Power button light comes up for a few seconds and then turns off. The screen remains black throughout, I cant even see the Dell Logo on the screen or try to access the menu settings by pressing F2 or F12. This same issue occurs while trying on battery (which is 100% charged, as per the battery indicator) or while on AC Power.
Please assist. Thank you.

My 9365 has done that a couple of times when plugged.  I just needed to remove the external power and it booted normally.
Since you say it happens when unplugged, perhaps it only works if plugged in before hitting the power button, then removing the external power..

I upgraded the ssd to a Samsung 960 Evo and when I turn on the computer the screen doesn't turn on and the power button stays lit for only 10 seconds before it turns itself off. Do you have a solution? Before I upgraded everything was fine. I inserted back the original ssd and same problem.

Did you change any other connections internally, such as the battery and make sure they were correct before you closed up?

Hi there, 
I've recently purchased a dell xps 13 9360 
I have had a few issues such as screen flicker every so often, maybe twice a day, however it doesn't affect me too much. 
There was also slight coil whine, especially when using skype and intensive task, however I managed to remove that by turning off turbo boost in bios. 
Just then the blue screen "your pc has run into a problem and needs to restart" and a very loud noise occured.  I have attached the event log for when this occured, not sure if it helps. 
I've only had the laptop for just less than a month and I really need it now so I can't and don't plan on returning it. Just wondering if anyone could suggest to me what to do, i.e. could I send it for maintenance in a few weeks time and they could thoroughly test the system?

1. Power off system
2. Power on system, quickly tap the F12 key continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen. In the boot menu, stroll down to Diagnostic and then click it. After quick tests, click on Hard Drive, and then Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code.

I purchased a XPS 13 9360 on 27/11/2017 from Dell UK and received the delivery a day later on 28/11/2017. Since then, the laptop has randomly restarted several times, taking me to the recovery screen with the message 'it looks like Windows didn't load correctly'. At first, I thought it would go away when I updated to BIOS 2.3.1 and latest drivers, but it didn't. Then I opted to reset Windows 10, but today I suffered the issue again.
Does anybody know how to fix this? I have lost important work due to the random reboots.

My two weeks Dell XPS 9360 is having shutdown problem after windows 10 anniversary upgrade (ver 1607, OS build 14393.447).  Spec is the highest in the Kaby Lake release.
I've just updated all the latest driver (installed Dec 1st 2016) from Dell website.
Now when i shutdown, the white light on the power button won't disappear like it used to, a.k.a. won't do a full shutdown.  i have to do the uncheck fast boot options from power setting, but my startup takes  twice longer (can take up to 25-30 sec), whilst previously only 15 sec max.
I prefer to have a fast startup and no shutdown problem like it used to.  Unfortunately no roll back options for most of the drivers for some reason.
I've search and try every possible options listed in the forum and internet for this:
1. Removing Intel Rapid Storage
2. Downgrading to Intel Management Interface (IME), ver. 10, etc.
3. Tried every power management configuration for drivers, power setting, etc.
4. Tried every possible BIOS combination on fast startup, USB setting, Intel Virtualization
5. Diagnose hardware, driver, tried windows control panel troubleshooting, all shows normal
Basically i'm down to my last option of doing a clean install, but by doing this i'm loosing many settings which i don't intend to loose.  And there's a chance that the problem persist even with clean install

Bought a XPS 13 9360 very recently, great laptop, great quality, if only it was not rebooting at random moments.
It happens at the most random times, one to three times a day and I don't see anything that can cause it. I tried updating all the drivers, but that didn't seem to be the problem. Hope Dell will get us a fix soon, as it is a brand new Laptop, and I've found other people in online discussions who have the same issue (without any help). It's no fun to buy a beautiful new laptop which reboots every day twice...
Refunding or changing it is not really an option as it would take a few days and I need it to study on it as it might take a few days before I get a new one...

I had an issue with Wi-Fi dropping every few minutes on a particular network. In my case this was Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in the UK. To identify why this was happening I went into the event log (Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc) and then into “Applications and Services Log” > “Microsoft” > “Windows” > “WLAN-AutoConfig”.
In here I could see a loop which relates to the networking issues;
Wireless security stopped.
WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully disconnected from a wireless network.
WLAN AutoConfig service started a connection to a wireless network.
Wireless network association started.
The issue appeared to be a recent update to the drivers and so I tried some new drivers from the Killer Networking website.
I used the Driver Only versions and this seemed (so far!) to have done the trick.
Thought I’d share in case anyone else has a similar issue and get it indexed by Google

Outdated drivers can indeed cause issues such as these. However, I wanted to mention that the latest Killer Control Center download - - also contains the latest drivers. They all install with the same package - there is no need to install drivers separately, and the Killer Control Center can significantly speed up any latency sensitive task, from gaming to browsing, so it's definitely worth using!

I received my Dell XPS 13 9360, I7 processor with 16GB of ram, and i did what i usually do with a new laptop = in order to get rid of all the bloatware, i remove everything  (including the recovery partition), and reinstall the OS with the drivers from the vendor, if needed.

The thing is the CPU shows as speed ranging from 2.7ghz to 2.9ghz (it should be 3.5ghz) and i only have a single power plan (balanced), with very little options to set. I tried installing all the utilities and drivers found in the windows 10 x64 bit section, and to download the recovery image (which it turns out to be a clean windows installation iso, not even wifi drivers included)

Any ideas where to get the required remaining applications/drivers? (in computer management i don't have any devices missing drivers)

I just switched to Dell XPS 2017 (i5 Kaby Lake) from Macbook Pro 2016 (i5 Skylake) and tried playing Ghost Towns 8K video on Youtube. My Macbook Pro can play it smoothly, but my new Dell really struggled playing it. Does anyone have the same issues?

The MacBook Pro has a discrete GPU, so that probably isn't a fair comparison. Kaby Lake is advertised as having hardware-level acceleration for 4K video, but 8K is quadruple the resolution, so I'm not too surprised that it's struggling. Then again, to my knowledge nobody even has an 8K display yet, and even if they did, there aren't any display connectors capable of driving that resolution at 60 Hz yet.

Just got a brand new XPS [9360] right out of the box. I noticed the backlight on the N and M keys are brighter than the rest of the keys. I played around with F10 function to adjust keyboard brightness, but it is the same throughout. I went into Windows Mobility Center and there was no settings listed for the keyboard. Did I just receive a bad keyboard?

Hi there, I am having slight problems with the new laptop I purchased on Thursday 8.12.2016. Basically, it has not yet been registered on dell's system, meaning my manufacturer warranty is not active. I have tried to check the warranty status of the laptop so many times on the website but whenever I enter the service tag I get the following message: "There's no match for that Service Tag, Express Service code, or Serial Number. Please try again or browse for your product. New devices may need 48 hours to register on our site." Additionally, I have called dell's support team, and they said that without my machine being registered, they cannot do much, and I should keep on waiting. As you may notice the 48 hours have passed. I really don't understand how this whole registration works without me doing anything, and I am not sure if this is a hardware/software issue so I will be really thankful if you could help me out.

Hello All,
I have a Dell XPX 13 9360 laptop with a WD15 dock that I want to use two Dell 2316M monitors.
The dock connects up to the laptop fine - I am getting ethernet, USB and power from the dock via the Thunderbolt port. But, I am getting no video output from it. The laptop does not recognize that there are additional displays connected. The monitors are on the correct input and the monitors work on their own respectively (tested by connecting to another machine).
I have tried installing the drivers from Dell (Thunderbolt, ASMedia USB, Intel Graphics, etc.), but nothing makes it work. I attempted to install the Firmware, but it fails.
The laptop is Windows 10 Pro.
Does anyone have any suggestions to make this work?

Hmm, video is typically the easiest thing to get working because the USB-C port just has a DisplayPort output wired to it, so there are no special dock drivers to make that work.  In terms of the firmware update that failed, if you're referring to the WD15 firmware I'm linking below, what's the exact failure error?  That firmware update involves restarting your PC and having it update the firmware while it boots, and it would be a good thing to get working because one of the listed fixes pertains to the DisplayPort MST hub that controls the video outputs.  Link:

I received a new DELL XPS 13 9360 with Win 10 for my Sales Dept. Unfortunately when I try to connect to any WiFi network I get a blue screen with this message IRQL_UNEXPECTED_VALUE. All drivers are up to date and there is no additional software installed. When I have it connected on LAN (dock station WD15) I can connect to WiFi but when I unplug laptop from docking station and it switch to WiFi there is the same story with blue screen. Any idea how to fix this issue? Thank you in advance.

If it is doing a real Blue Screen, it may show a driver on the bottom of the text.  If it does, let us know what it is.
When the Creator's build was installed on my 9365, it started Blue Screening for Netwtw04.sys.  It stopped for me after some upgrades.  If your system is new you may be going through that same situation.

Hello everybody!I bought an Ultrabook Dell XPS 13 9360On the laptop does not work touchpad, on the forum wrote that helps to replace the motherboard! Is there really no other way to bring the touchpad driver to works?
In the "Device Manager" section, the touchpad has an error (10), it can not start!

My Dell XPS13 is now showing "Battery Not Detected" in mouseover of the battery icon. Removing the powercable removes power from the laptop. It was working until today and the device is only 2 months old.
Both the Microsoft AC Adapter driver and the Microsoft-ACPI Battery driver is up to date.  I cannot update the BIOS as no battery is detected but when I check the BIOS it says that the 45W AC adapter is connected.
When I run diagnostics I get the following message at Step 5 (Running Your Tests) "We are unable to find the selected device. The device driver for your selected diagnostic is either not installed or installed incorrectly. Please ensure your device is enabled through your device manager or go to Drivers and Downloads to install the latest driver."
Any software suggestions please? I spend a lot of time on trains so only having a laptop that works when plugged into the mains is the equivalent of having a desktop.

The battery has failed - if you're under warranty, call Dell for a battery replacement.  If you're out of warranty, you can get a repair quote from Dell - or take the system to the shop of your choice to have the battery replaced -- or order a battery and replace it yourself (it's not that difficult to replace, though you'll need a Torx driver to do the job).

I don't know if I am alone with this issue.... hopefully someone can help? 
My XPS 13 9360 will lose it's bluetooth connection when using the Microsoft Designer Mouse.  The bluetooth menu will also disappear from the control panel, however, the bluetooth information remains in Device Manager. 
I end up having to re-install the bluetooth drivers and it takes a few attempts for the bluetooth menu to re-appear.  I've switched all the bluetooth services on, checked the BIOS and everything looks OK.

Could you let us know what version of Wi-Fi card you have?
If you open Device Manager and look at the Bluetooth device and its properties, there is an Events tab.  You might check that to see what might be happening.  If it is losing it drivers and having to reinstall over and over, it might show up.

I just bought a dell xps 13′‘ 9360 using the latest by today 1.07 BIOS version and it’s hard to write a paragraph of text without having the cursor jumping to somewhere else. So the only way to get proper text using the computer is by hitting ctrl+z every single minute of writing.
I remember my previous experience with dell xps 13′‘ 9343 where the same thing happened but much worser and was a known issue, fixed (if I'm not wrong) with a BIOS update later.
Is this something that is a known issue for dell? is there already a fix out or a fix coming?.

Hi Guys,
I have bouhgt new DELL XPS 13 9360 few weeks ago. Worked perfectly, until some Windows and/or Dell Update. My TouchPad stopped working.
In device manager I can see that I2C HID device can't start (ERROR CODE 10).
The external mouse is working fine.
Sometimes helps to stop the I2C HID device, remove external mouse, than run Hardware Problem Solving and 1 from 10 times it ends with fixing the driver for I2C HID and it works for a while. Than it crashes again.
I believe it's some kind of driver issue.
Can you help me please?

I have my XPS 13 9360 for about half a year now (since November last year), but now the touchpad is starting to act up. I'm experiencing the following issues:
- From time to time it suddenly thinks I'm scrolling, even with a single finger on the touchpad, this is "unlocked" by left clicking the touchpad, but that often only works for a few seconds to minutes.
- Tap clicking is not registered anymore, almost always paired with the above issue.
I'm running Linux (Fedora 25, kernel 4.9.11 at the time of writing) since the beginning since I need it for my work.
I've ran the diagnostic accessed through F12, which found no error. I'm fairly positive at this point that it is a hardware issue, since it often happens when the laptop is under heavy load (though also during regular use) and a tiny bit of mechanical pressure on the laptop casing above the center of the touchpad fixes it.
The reason I'm trying the forums is because when I try to enter a support ticket it wants me to execute the Dell Diagnostic program, which I cannot do since I'm on linux, but I also cannot continue before doing that or having diagnostic data.
As I said above, at this point it seems like a hardware issue to me, but I'm open to suggestions.

P.S. I'm from the Netherlands, but I couldn't find a Dutch forum so here I am.

Have just recently bought an XPS 13 9360 model ( Intel i5, 8gb memory, 256 SSD, Kaby Lake).
Need some advice before ordering some new bits & pieces.
Need to achieve 2 things:
1) link up to an larger external monitor
2) Copy a larger number of music CDs  into ITunes folder/ watch DVDs on laptop
3) Link to and store data on an external HDD
Could someone please advise on suitable accessories to achieve these.
Already have a 19" monitor. Do I just need a USB C to HDMI cable? Do I need any other adaptor?
What external optical drive works specifically with the XPS 13 9360? Do the USB ports have enough power output to run a single USB cables optical drive eg. The Dell DW 316
or is there a model that users have found works well with the 9360.
Finally can anyone recommend the best sort of cable to use for linking to and storing data on an external HDD? Can I just use a standard USB cable or is it better with a different type.
Apologies for the basic questions, but I am a bit of a technophobe and have struggled to find the correct answers on the web.
Any help would be much appreciated.

After seeing some youtube video, I realised that my 9360 may had a problem. When I boot, there is 2 dell post. My boot time is quite bad, it's about 25 seconds.
I have windows fastboot enable.

Got my XPS 13 9360 today & noticed odd USB behaviour, namely that the 2 ports are behaving very differently. Dell tech support can't find a solution so whilst they work on it I'm curious if anyone else has this. Odd behaviour as follows:
1) Trying to create recovery media with 16GB flash drive - when plugged into right hand USB the recovery creator says "drive must be at least 16GB" & NEXT button is greyed out. If I try again & de-select 'back up system files to recovery drive" I get a similar message but saying "drive must be at least 512MB" & again the NEXT button is greyed out.
(I appreciate that a 16GB drive only has 14.8GB useable capacity but the 2nd option only needs 512MB!)
When plugged into left hand port, recovery creator detects the same 16GB no problem & NEXT button is available to start creating recovery media.
2) When USB flash drive & a Sandisk Extreme 500GB is connected to righ hand port, there is no Autoplay pop up. But when plugged into left hand port, AutoPlay pop up appears & makes usual noise.
3) There is no 'safely remove USB' icon in task bar when either drive is plugged into right hand port, but when plugged into left hand port, the icon is there.
For both ports though, USB drive is shown in 'My PC' & able to read/write files.

I am running Dell XPS 13 9360 with i5 and FHD display, the latest Win10 Home and the newest bios. 
My idle temps range between 50-55 Celsius and working temps are up to 90-95 Celsius (flat solid desk under).
This started like two weeks ago. 
These temps are too high and the notebook becomes very uncomfortable to work with even when idle.
Do you get similiar temps?
BTW my second issue is absolutely not working sleep, not going into sleep, still processing, only display goes dark.
I am satisfied with this notebook, but those problems are too serious for the price.

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 13 9360. Whenever I put my laptop to sleep, the fingerprint scanner fails to start/recognize and I cannot login using Windows Hello. I am forced to enter using my PIN or Password.
I have installed latest drivers and have tried other things as said on the internet such as going to Device Manager -> Biometric devices -> Properties -> Power Management tab -> uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Well, this does not solve the issue for me! 
Anyone facing the same issue?

If your online connection (WiFi) is going to sleep while in hibernate, Windows Hello will not work. So you need to set your WiFi to not enter sleep mode when the operating system enters sleep.* Press Windows Key + R* Type devmgmt.msc* Click OK* Open Network adapters* Right click the Wireless device* Click Properties* Click Power Management tab* Remove all checks* Click OK* Close the Device Manager* Restart the computer* Enter sleep mode and see if Windows Hello now functions

I would like to simulate middle click. The touch pad setting doesn't have any option listed to simulate middle click.
Two finger tap only supports right click.
For three and four fingers tap it has only three options listed:

Search with Cortana
Action Center

Is there any other touhpad driver supported by this model which could simulate the middle click action?

Have had numerous issues since day 1 (Jan 2017)  with headphones.
Latest issue - Headphones only recognized if plugged in on boot.
MaxxAudioPro never recognizes the headphones.

Dell Detect says all latest drivers/firmware installed.
Any idea on resolution?  
Very disappointed with Dell phone support on my prior sound issues as their proposed solution caused my PC not to reboot. I've fixed my prior issues myself but this one has me stumped.

That was an issue on the XPS 9350 and 9550 models. Many owners reported it was fixed by having the audio port circuit board replaced. (Your model might or might not have that part). Your post is the first one I have seen about the problem on an XPS 9360.

That Realtek driver just came out May 3rd, so if the problem exists from that date I would say try "roll back" driver and see if the previous driver works okay. 
Turn off Windows Update, then
1. Open the Device Manager.2. Expand the "Sound, video & game controllers"3. Right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio" to open the context menu.4. Click Properties.5. Click the Driver tab at the top.6. Click Rollback Driver.
If Win10 Home does not allow for turning off Update, then disconnect from internet, but if Update is on it might re-install the newer driver when connected again.

Hi guys, 

I am a bit worried because I bought a new dell xps 13 9360 i7 full hd screen a couple of days ago and it seems to me that the battery on my unit is not even close to what people have claimed they achieve on their batteries. I am only using chrome with 7-8 tabs and not much else in the background (skype). BIOS and chipset drivers are all new, I disabled some updates for the time being and the battery seems to be working for about 5-6hours and this is on 10-20% screen brightness and power saving mode.
Various tests show that even on QHD 9360 i7 the battery result is much much longer and not in such saving modes really. I called Dell Support but all they did is check whether the battery has hardware issues via some test I run upon launching the computer. So they will not replace the battery but it seems to me there is either an issue with it after all or there is some software  that is eating up the battery so badly because clearly I shouold be gettinig >10hrs based on many many real life reviews etc. Any sugestions?

I have a DELL XPS-13 9360 which won't resume from sleep mode - if it sleeps, I have to press and hold the power button (15 - 30 seconds, something like that) to hard restart the laptop in order to get it to boot. When I try and resume from sleep the keyboard backlight comes on, but nothing else happens, screen doesn't seem to wake up
I've drawn a blank trying to figure out what the problem is, event logger shows nothing between:
The system is entering connected standby Reason: Lid.
and when I hard-restart it
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
The only other thing I can see is very large (1GB+) system memory dump files being created but the timestamps don't match up well, so this may be a separate issue
I'm running Windows 10 version 1607 build 14393.693 fully updated, the laptop didn't originally have any issues sleeping but went back to Dell for a replacement keyboard (space bar didn't work properly) and the system was reimaged at that time and sleep hasn't worked since.
Thanks for any suggestions, this is a very frustrating issue :(

I have a Dell XPS 13 9360 laptop. Purchased almost a year. This is already the third time the laptop won't boot up and gives me an LED error code. Last two times I was able to run a self test and it fixed itself. This time it won't even run the self test when I press the Fn and Power buttons. Reboot it with pressing F2, no luck seeing the BIOS screen. Please help.
From reading this forum, seems like alot of XPS 13 users are having problem with their laptop. Should Dell has a fix or recall for this issue?

My wifi when plugged in is fine, downloading as expected at around 100Mbs as soon as I disconnect the power even on 100% battery the download rate drops to less than .02Mbs.
I've updated all the drivers and the BIOS using the Dell updating tools.
The Dell support assist is just sitting on data transfer verification test after 17 minutes.
I cant download the Killer drivers as it tells me theyre not signed for the system.
it basically makes the laptop unusable on battery, which is one of the main points of having a laptop.

Hi!I've had some problems with my XPS 13 9360 recently where video freezes for a few seconds quite every now and then (every few minutes sometimes). This happens when i watch youtube or stream video from elsewhere aswell. A few times this happened, I saw an error message: "webGL encountered a problem"(this was on youtube) which basically crashed the video and I had to reload it. I solve the problem by exiting fullscreen and then refresh the site. I can sometimes watch for longer without any streaks if im lucky.I updated windows 10 a few days ago and I'm not exactly sure but I think the problem might have started to occur after that update. How can I solve this problem and where do I start to tackle the problem?Thanks in advance!

I have a dell xps 13 9360. My trackpad is fine except for one issue. When i try to move the cursor a few pixels, ie trying to click a button or any precision work really, the mouse either doesn't move at all or does move then comes to a complete stop even if my finger keeps going. This only happens when i move the cursor at lower speeds. If i swipe fast, it is really responsive and precise.
I've tried to set the trackpad speed to the highest, enable precision thingy and remove or shorten delay. That is not the issue.
I've seen others have the same issues:
I assume the "delay" you're experiencing isn't really a delay but actually it requires you to move a significant amount on the trackpad before it notices you're moving the cursor. This is the exact same problem my old XPS 13 9350 had (all three of them). There is no "fix" to this as far as I know, because this is a windows driver based trackpad and for some retarded reason, windows thought its a good idea to do this. There are alternatives to this, by using 3rd party drivers from synaptics that "fix" the cursor problem, but then you lose other features like multi finger gestures i.e scrolling, pinch to zoom etc

Dell XPS 13 9360 i7-7560U CPU overheats, fan only kicks in at high temperatures, so CPU most of the time is at or above 80°C (176 °F).
I searched on dell forums and found threads wherein other customers complained about same issue, and it seems that after replacement of motherboard + heatsink the high temp issue gets fixed.
Re-pasting CPU also wouldn't hurt, but since I bought the laptop recently, I'd rather Dell do it, since I don't want to lose warranty by cracking the laptop open.

Here's the video, no prior CPU overload, this is after laptop was turned on while it was off for quite a while, though when I entered diagnostics I waited till the default tests were automatically done and finished. It seems that CPU fan only kicks in at high (80°C temperature) and even then it only lowers the CPU temp down to like 70° and goes back to 0 RPM, is it normal? It shouldn't be, since it keeps CPU at overly high temperature! This was done while on battery (ac not plugged in).
Here's screenshot while I'm logged into OS. As you can see, CPU temperature gets abnormally high with a mild CPU load. You can test your laptop same way, just open this youtube video and see for yourself.
In my case, temperature quickly rose to high value.
I also tried to stress CPU by using HeavyLoad, I got CPU load at 100% but CPU cores almost instantly got to 90°C and started rising higher, so I stopped the test right away.

How I can recover original partition layout with recovery partition contains original windows with drivers?
Now only find tool named "Dell OS Recovery Tool". But this tool make usb stick with some tools that removes recovery partition from my SSD and install clean windows 10 without drivers.
This not useful for me..

I just recently purchased an adapter from Amazon HERE...

After going through the run around with customer support, my issue is still not solved.

I am trying to connect an external monitor through HDMI via the adapter linked above, but an unable to solve the issue.  My laptop recognizes the external monitor is plugged in, and is functioning as you would expect with an external monitor (i.e. two screens, dragging between two screens, etc...).  However, it seems as though the laptop is not sending any video output to the external monitor.  
I have updated all drivers and installers that were recommended to me by Dell customer support.  Additionally, I had changed a setting in the BIOS to disable some sort of USBC or Thunderbolt 3.0 security, as per recommendation in the comments of the linked (above) product.

Any suggestions?

Hi all,

For the last 3 weeks my touchpad buttons stopped working. The pointer works well but the buttons are not clicking. This is probably a driver issue but all drivers are up to date and the buttons are enabled.

Please help.

Hi everyone,
New owner of the XPS 13 9360, great product aside from some coil whine. I have an issue with the audio port, from the WD15. Sometimes when I am listening to music, I will notice distortion for 3-5 secs, and then it will cut out completely. Then the audio interface is completely unavailable to the OS. Spotify will say "Cannot play right now", as if the interface is blocked.
I have BIOS updated to 2.2.1 on the XPS 13 9360, and WD15 F/W is up to date (according to the update tool). Realtek USB is updated to March 17, 2017, the newest one available on the website. I have no display issues or ethernet issues with the dock otherwise, but the audio issue is very annoying.
Can anyone provide a clue as to why this is happening? Even when it doesn't cut out completely, I'll hear an occasional stutter from the audio, as if audio interrupts are not being handled in higher priority over other I/O. Not sure what the problem is, but I guess I can also ask here and start a discussion with Dell support as well.

Hi gamei56,Thanks for posting.Does this happen with other audio sources (ie: non-streaming)?  It may be your internet connection as the same thing happens on my Galaxy S7 at home when I'm listening to Pandora while working and using a lot of bandwidth.If it happens with all audio sources, then it may be a sound card issue.  You could try Dell Support Assist before calling Tech Support.

Hi All,
I received my brand new Kaby Lake powered Dell XPS 13 9360 a couple of weeks back and I have been suffering from wifi disconnect issues since then. The USB LAN connection works perfectly using the Dell USB C adapter.
I have tried all the standard troubleshooting steps:
1. BIOS and Killer 1535 Wireless Adapter Driver updated to latest version  (including uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless drivers)
2. Updated Windows 10 to the latest anniversary edition
3. Changed Power Saving settings on the Wireless Adapter using Powershell commands as there are no Power management options for the Killer Wireless adapter in Device Manager 
(Disable-NetAdapterPowerManagement -Name "Wi-Fi" -NoRestart)
After running the above command I get the status of the relevant power mgmt parameters as below (though not sure if its really effective)
DeviceSleepOnDisconnect : InactiveWakeOnMagicPacket : Disabled
 4. Installed the latest Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 10
Even after running step 1 and then later step,2 the wifi connection used to disconnect after some time (especially when a large file was being downloaded or any high network usage activity). Running a speed test of my broadband connection is a sure way to disconnect from wifi. More importantly this disconnection used to crash the Access Point on my TP-Link WR841N router which caused all my other devices to lose network connection as well and required a Router restart.

Hi dear Dell, I have a quite powerful Dell laptop (i7 Kaby Lake, 16Gb RAM) and still feeling frustrated from time to time due to horrible performance.
I'm using it for six month, for now, first I was on Linux, but due to the problem I'll describe below I shifted back to Windows 10. Although, it doesn't seem to help me much.
I tried to narrow the problem and looks like GPU-intensive 32-bit apps are to the blame.
It's effortless to reproduce: download and install meetings client for, which is still 32-bit for some reason, join a room with a few people using cameras or sharing their screen and you'll instantly get near 100% CPU usage, howling fans and slow system.
UEFI and drivers are up to date, of course.
Also, I tried to install 32-bit version of the Microsoft Office 365 and it works noticeably slower than 64-bit version.
All this is quite annoying and frustrating. Halp.

When I listen to audio with headphones it comes out crackly and distorted, however, when I connect a speaker via aux cable in the same headphone jack it sounds normal. Audio from the laptop's speakers in normal as well. I have checked the headphones and it's not them that's the issue.  The crackling happens with all my headphones. 
The problem is very recent. A couple of days ago I picked up my headphones unaware they were plugged into my XPS. The jack was pulled out of the headphone jack when I picked up the headphones and it's been an issue ever since. I would have immediately assumed that It's a hardware thing with the jack although, I didn't pull it out very hard nor did it come out at a weird angle so I can't see how that could've of broken it. Also, the jack still works perfectly with external speakers so I'm not too sure what's wrong with it.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be an enormous help:)

To add to my previous question, I have just descovered that my microphone dosn't work now either. I had a look around for the solution and I've managed to boost it so it picks up some sound, however, not much at all. Again any help or solutions would be greatly apreciated, although I might just have to take it to a profesional which I was hoping not to have to do.
