I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Acer keyboard not working after installing graphics driver

Which graphics driver version number are you trying to install? Did you get the driver from Acer or direct from the gpu manufacturer?

After downloading and installing the lastest graphics driver from the lenovo support pages (10.18.10.3643) I notice that some graphics in Windows Apps are being distorted. It typically looks like a refresh and/or memory issue. If you start the app everything is OK and after using it a while (or switching to another app and back)For example the Onenote radial menu looks like this:  Where is should look like this:  Over time it could get worse, like the whole of the application has problems how to refresh itself, or this menu does not just lose the icons, but also the colors, etc. I've tried to cut down the demand for resources by disabled anti-aliassing, but that does not help.Normal windows applications do not have the problem and resource friendly (e.g. non graphical orieted apps) takes longer for showing the same behaviour. It is "just" a bug in the driver or is there some setting I could tweak to fix this? Thanks,Ruud

Answer:Helix: Distorted Graphics in Windows apps after installing latest graphics driver (3643)

I have the same issue also. Noticed this since the last driver update for the INTEL HD GRAPHICS 4000.I have noticed that the video in general is lot slower to display. For example when right clicking the context menu slides open as compared to pops open. I mostly get the distorion in the display when working in Outlook 2013.I tried installing the Intel's latest driver of October 2014 but the system does not allow installation of drivers that are not of the manufacturer.I am going to look into going back to the previous version if possible.I have noticed that not that many users have noticed this problem??? Strange.

Hello, I was trying to update the HD Graphics 4000 driver in my Acer Aspire E1-571 and I'm able to get the latest version of the driver working fine from the Acer support page. However this driver is almost 3 and half years old now and dates back from 2012, and with that everytime I encounter an issue with a modern game the support always tells me to update my drivers. The latest driver from the Intel page is perhaps no more than two months old. I'm aware that the driver must come from the OEM for it to be recognised but decided to go for a workaround to see if I could update it anyway. I tried following the advice from the Intel support page to unistall the driver from Acer and do a fresh re-install with the latest Intel driver instead, however this doesn't work. It seems doing this only allows for the installer to try and install it but fails half way through, as suppose to not trying at all telling me to go to my OEM. It seems that Acer genuneily uses custome software for its driver and so the latest driver must be provided for. I'm I missing something here, is this really the latest version provided by Acer and could it be possible for Acer to release a more recent version. I've also checked with people that use a HD Graphics 4000 and they don't seem to encounter the same issues that I do when using DX11. None of which are using Acer laptops. My specs are i5-3210M 2.5GHz with 3.1GHz Turbo boost8GB RAM DDR3Intel HD Graphics 4000 Version Number ... Read more

I've finally found the solution, you were right to suggest a system reset but that only highlighted the real issue. It was a combination of issues, corrupt hive files, corrupt windows installer files and programme interference. I recommend to anyone that tries this fix to create a Windows easy transfer file and back up registry and licence keys. First I tried to do a system refresh and then install the driver, even though I updated first it failed and blue screened after the driver installation as it didn't have the Direct X update needed. Which implied that the updates didn't actually save. I opened a restore point to save the system and it perma blue screened then after. The system repair tool wouldn't actually grant me access to the restore point to try again. To get around this I opened Disk part via the command prompt in the advanced bootup repair tool and then forced permissions. To do this I first typed "Diskpart", then "list volume", then select the D drive and C drive by the their volume number. For myself D drive was 0 and C drive 1, then remove their letters and reassign them again so that the main drive is the C drive (even if this doesn't change the volume letters by the end of it, it will still grant you the permissions you need). This is done like so "select volume 0", "remove letter=d", "select volume 1", "remove letter=c", "select volume 1", "assign letter=c", "select volume 0", "assign letter=d". Then type "exit" and "rstrui.exe". Run the restore p... Read more

I contacted Acer support, but they wonīt help me because they say my laptop was stolen ( I bought it to someone I considered was a legitimate dealer, but it appears I was wrong). Some of the keys donīt respond as they should, and Iīd thank anyone who can send me this keyboard driver, if they have a laptop like mine. You can even download it from your laptop using DriverMax, which is a great program for saving your computer drivers ( I didnīt know of it before reinstalling xp). I'm pretty sure my Aspire PS-131 is an All In One rather than a notebook. Feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place. This morning, seemingly all of a sudden, my PS-131's bluetooth keyboard stopped working. I charged it until the light turned blue, but the tablet no longer registers the keyboard on the Bluetooth screen. Sometimes an Unknown device will appear on the bluetooth screen, but I can't connect to it.  I have no idea what to do and I can't find anything online about it. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone else have an idea about where to begin? I've tried contacting Acer's live chat, but the serial number on my tablet isn't verifiable.

I can use the keyboard when starting in safe mode but not when windows starts??? The Tried reinstalling the driver but didn't work

Answer:Acer Aspire keyboard is not working

When Safe Mode works properly but Normal Mode does not, it typically means that a driver or some software has just been installed that is interfering with Normal Mode. The types of software that can do that are drivers, antivirus products, third-party firewall products, CD/DVD burning software or virtual CD/DVD software. If you can remember installing anything like that, uninstall it in Safe Mode then restart.

Answer:Acer Aspire E1-431 Keyboard is not working at all (All key).

Try using the keyboard on another computer and see if it works. If it's a USB keyboard, you should be able to use it on your father's laptop. If NO keys work on EITHER computer, the laptop is most likely ready for the garbage dump. I suppose you could try opening it up and cleaning it, but if it's not a very expensive keyboard I wouldn't even bother. Just replace it.

(i'm going to try and explain this the best i can)My Acer Aspire E15 laptop's keyboard has stopped working so I'm typing this with an external keyboard. I've only had this laptop it for a little over a year and having the keyboard just stop working is very dissapointing and a little frustrating. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any possibility of getting this repaired, because I've been informed that the keyboards of these laptops are connected to the motherboard in a way that would require getting a whole new motherboard just to replace the keyboard. I don't know if this is true or if there is anyway to repair my keyboard without replacing the whole **bleep** motherboard, so if anyone knows it would be awesome if you could help me out.

Answer:Acer Aspire E15 keyboard not working?

Not sure where they got that info. However you can replace the keyboard. That does take some doing. But I think a person would most likely replace the whole top part. That is track pad and all. I would say look on eBay for you type and see if they have any. When you take apart you remove power, battery, 14 or 16 screws from the bottom. Remove drive from the bay. Use old credit card to separate the 2 half. Then there is some ribbon cables that would need to be removed carefully. If you got the whole thing. Then put in New one same way you took out old. However if you just got the keyboard you will bee to take out 8 to 10 more screws peeling tape from the ribbon cables and to access the small screws then the keyboard can be removed. For me I would try and find whole top plate would be less work.James

Hello, I have an Acer laptop running on Windows 7 and the other day I spilled something on it while cooking. After cleaning it off (just with a cloth) most of the keys wouldn't work. The ones that did didn't wok correctly, i.e 'u' would be 'bu' and so on. The next day, none of the keys worked. I cleaned it with hand sanitizer, and some worked, but again there were messed up 'double keys.' It now seems that they are almost all dissasociated from their original keys. Like, F9 is now spacebar, 7 is enter, etc. I've already restored the computer to factory settings the way it was when I bought it, but its the same. How do you reset the keys?

Answer:Acer laptop Keyboard not working

Your problem is that the contacts on the underside are not clean and the small currents that make the contacts now are bleeding between contacts and causing unexpected results like the double entrys and changed entrys. The only way to fix this is to remove the battery, disassemble the lower computer parts, remove the keyboard and either clean all of the contacts and other sticky surfaces carefully with alcohol, or replace the keyboard and clean all other sticky surfaces. For MOST, this is a job for a professional. Tell him EXCATLY what happened so he knows what the job entails. This will probably not be an inexpensive repair and if it were an older machine it might not pay, but for a fairly new machine that otherwise works well, it probably pays. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Did you try the update using the latest AMD driver from Lenovo?

http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/pr...1-70/downloads

If you got that driver anywhere else, I would strongly suggest you try the Lenovo OEM driver.
(You could also try to update your driver via windows update from device manager too)

I hope my link points to the correct page because Lenovo usually has extended model numbers such as:

Ideapad 110-15ISK (80UD0017US)

I also noticed your rig can be provisioned with either an Intel or AMD graphics' solution.
Good luck,

the only breakthrough i had was when i installed it in win XP 64 bit when it started popping up the driver signature error..i believe the same issue is happening in Win 7 and Vista too but not sure..

Answer:Graphics Card Driver not installing

I researched your problem and found this article:
Driver problem on Palit GeForce GTX 260 SONIC edition - NVIDIA Forums

There seems to be a problem with the BIOS of that specific card.

I advise you not to buy really cheap graphics cards such as Palit, because graphics card are a crucial part of your computer and it's recommended that you buy something more respectable, more reliable from makers like EVGA, XFX or BFG.

My personal recommendation would be EVGA, they have an upgrade program called "Step-Up" in which you can trade in your old cards with new ones while paying very little.

If you bought that card within 30 days, I would go and return it and get a refund.

Graphics Card : Sapphire ATi HD4650 AGP 1GB
Sound : Sound Blaster X-Fi Extremem Music

I have installed Windows 7 Enterprise on this machine, naturally I had to download new drivers for my sound and video since my current drivers is for Windows XP.

After installation of my graphics card driver the computer needs to reboot.

the computer reboots then when I get to the Win 7 startup screen , then the computer restarts and this goes on in a loop unless I choose repair option and restore to previous workable status of win 7.

Please Help

Answer:Fail after installing Graphics Driver

Hello,

Can youboot into Safe Mode? Press the F8 key once your PC has booted up which should take you to the Advanced Boot Menu then choose Safe Mode, from there you should be able to click Start, in the Search bar type devmgmt.msc and then once in Device Manager right-click your Graphics Adapter and Properties, then choose to Roll-Back the Driver.

George

I installed the drivers for my graphics card and now I have no sound for my S-220 Logitec speakers. I can't install drivers for these speakers because it doesn't come with any. I checked the Device Manager and status of the 4 NVIDIA and 1 Realtek High Definition Audio are working properly. How can I get my sound back?

Answer:No sound after installing Graphics Driver

Did you check that the Realtek is set as the default audio device in the Windows playback properties?

Well, it all started when I noticed that my machine was lagging when showing the UAC prompt. It used to happen before, and it was gone when I reinstalled GPU drivers. The screen used to go blank and then turn dark, and the same when going normal again.

I was installing the drivers I already had downloaded and unpacked. It said the drivers were older than those installed on my PC. I thought, that's fine. I'll install them and later install the latest release. But the setup actually deleted the driver I had, but didn't install them again. Vista looked like a nightmare. I rebooted the computer, and it detected a plug-and-play device. It detected it fine, as nVidia GeForce 6150 Go, and things were fine again.

But I saw that the lagging was persistent. I installed the drivers I got with my PC when it was new. Again, the video card is not working. And after I reboot, the computer detects it as Standard VGA Compatible Device. The video card doesn't work, and nVidia Control Panel is gone. When I try to install the drivers, it tells that setup didn't find any compatible devices on the system and closes down.

System Restore is not working too. I downloaded the latest ForceWare, and it shows the same error. I'm not able to play any games, and even see the iTunes visualization. Nothing works properly.

Answer:Graphics Card Driver not Installing

download a driver cleaner and the correct driver from the manufactorers website, not nvidia as the "go" series are often only made for specific machines.
uninstall the card from device manager first and then the software from program features if needed, reboot in safemode then use the cleaner.
reboot in normal mode and install the driver when asked. that should install the card.
you may want to update directx at the same time as some video drivers and software may need some of its components as well.

best to turn off your security while installing the drivers as it may bug out the install.

I have an Asus UL80Jt laptop and I want to install a new driver for my graphics card because some of the games that I play were lagging extremely badly. The graphics card I have is a Nvidia GeForce 310m. This is what I've tried so far:

- I downloaded the newest driver from Asus.com for my specific computer and installed it. When I went to restart my computer, I got the starting Windows screen and then it just went black and I let it sit for 20 minutes and still nothing. So I held the power until it turned off and then rebooted, hit f8 and then did "last known good configuration" since the black screen problem happened every time I tried to restart.

- Since that driver download didn't work, I tried two or three different drivers from the Nvidia website (Versions 306.23 and 280.26). They all produced the same result as the one I downloaded from Asus.

- The last thing I did was uninstall the current driver from Device Manager and then attempted to reinstall the last driver that I tried (280.26). When I did this I was able to get to the login screen and then I got to my desktop and it froze. So I had to do another hard restart. This happened a few times and again I had to do "last known good configuration".

Now I am stuck with no graphics card driver at all! Please help if you know what's wrong or if I was using the wrong drivers. Thank you!

Answer:Need help installing new graphics card driver

You can try this tutorial Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling. But also realize the new drivers don't always work well. If using the above tutorial does not work for you, you can also go through the same process and reinstall the older driver that did work.

I can't install my graphics driver. Each time i try to windows says:
Cannot Install This Hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware:
NVIDIA GeForce2 Integrated GPU
An error occurred during the installation of this device
The required section was not found in the INF.

I've tried redownloading the drivers, installing different drivers, downloading utilities such as Driver Clean, I've also tried a windows XP repair. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me out with this?

Hiwindows xp sp2, ati x800 graphics. All drivers up to date (direct x, mother board etc). I have never had any issues uninstalling old and installing new ati graphic drivers. I uninstall ati driver through add/remove programs, use ati own catylst uninstaller and also use drivercl eaner pro on reboot. Never any problems. However recently i can not install new ati drivers, nor older versions i had as back up (these older versions worked ok in past). Whenever i install the drivers it brings up a 'severe error' message, there is an error message re the monitor and nothing installs. However on reboot it comes up the x800 graphics driver found message but it will neither find the drivers nor let me select them. As such I can't install my monitor driver either for some reason. As a result i can't get refresh rate of monitor over 60hz which means it's flickering badly. any ideas how to install the ati drivers. I can't find anyting on ati website re this.CheersP

Ok. I'm trying to upgrade my ATI Catalyst Driver to the latest version. When I try to do so, the installer causes a BSOD when on "Detecting Graphics Hardware...". The code is 0x0000001E, with no driver stated.

I've also tried to uninstall the graphics driver through the Add/Remove Programs and get the same BSOD.

My graphics card is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD5450.

What should I do?

Answer:BSOD When (un)installing ATI Graphics Driver

If your sure you have the right driver for your card, install it right over the top of the old driver

Hello, just a quick question.

A few days ago i re-installed Windows XP because of general slowness blah blah, i choose to install XP over the exisiting Windows XP so I wouldn't lose my music files etc. Everythings all working fine 'cept one thing - My Geforce FX 5200 hasn't been recongized, it doesn't come up on the System/Device Manager list. I checked DXDIAG and it has no D3D or OpenGL Support and is currently using the default Windows driver - vga.dll. I have tried to install the drivers from my nVidia CD but still doesn't work, i also d/l'ed the latest drivers off nvidia.com... still doesn't work. Nothing comes up under "Display Adapters" in Device Manager, nor does the Add New Hardware Wizard pop up... can somebody please help me?

Thanks, Bryce

Answer:problem installing audio driver on acer t671

hello & welcome to TSF ,

you can go here ( http://www.driveragent.com) and have you system scanned for free

this way you will find out what drivers you are looking for don't pay them just scan for the results !!

if your system has ATI Chipsets you can go here ( http://www.ati.com ) to get some of the drivers that you need , you will be looking for support & drivers downloads , you will have to tell them your system type and ect... but that is all automated

Hello,

I just recently updated my toshiba laptop with some remaining optional 8.1 updates that created some issues.

1) my backlit keyboard does not work anymore

2) my brightness keys on the keyboard stopped working. The screen brightness is dimmed and locked. Cannot change even from the on screen keys.

there might be some other issues that i haven't noticed yet...

I have checked my intel and nvidia drives and it tells me that they are up to date. Don't know how to fix this.

I would really appreciate any help to solve my problem.

Thank you!

hi

i'm having trouble with my situation let me explain

i bought a oem package deal from a well known computer manufacturer and
i have been using this comp for a good year or so anyways
it came with its own mouse and keyboard.

last month my mouse died on me so i used one of my older mouse i had laying around and it died also.

i decided to go buy a wireless laser mouse + keyboard and i did.

i got a microsoft brand name.

---my problem---

i don't really like to use the keyboard for certain things, and i just tried switching the keyboard only and it doesn't work.

is there a way where i could install my old keyboard and *disable* my new one? whilst keeping the mouse working.

what can i do?

any help would be thanked.

Answer:keyboard driver installing difficulties

Hi, and welcome to TSF!

Does this keyboard + mouse set use one interface for both, or do they use separate USB or PS/2 connectors for each? If they use separate connectors, just plug in the mouse without the keyboard.

If they use one connector, you should still be able to run another keyboard. Multiple keyboards shouldn't be a problem, just plug in the keyboard you want to use and push aside the keyboard you don't like.

I just recently encountered a problem with my Acer Aspire E3-112 notebook keyboard that I had been able to fix and would like to share the solution with anyone who may encounter the same problem. I had used a USB flash drive to copy some files without any issues. Shortly afterwards, I noticed that the 8 key on the keyboard had stopped responding, but all other keys worked as normal. I had pressed Fn-F11 (NumLk) and the 8 key started working again. Pressing Fn-F11 again disabled the NumLk mode, and the 8 key also stopped working again. I tried rebooting the notebook, shutting down and powering back up, reinstalling keyboard driver, etc, but nothing worked. To rule out Windows OS related settings, I rebooted into BIOS, and noticed that the 8 key still didn't work when I tried to change the time, but the other number keys worked fine. The solution that finally solved the problem was to shut down the notebook, and then using a paper clip, push it into the Batery reset pinhole on the bottom of the notebook for four seconds. Upon normal powerup, the 8 key started working again. If your notebook has a removable battery, then removing and reinstalling the battery might have the same effect.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have a request for help,

I have an Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG with the following spec:

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG NX.RYKEK.010

Except i'm running windows 7 and have just the 500GB HD on its own.

I only have had it since christmas and have been VERY happy with its performance so far...

BUT lastnight I switched it on and the keyboard and touchpad is completely unresponsive, when I went into control panel-hardware-keyboard there was a red "x" symbol beside it and when I ran a diagnostic on it it stated the driver wasn't installed properly and searched itself for a fix, It seemed to find something and tried installing it but then reported it wasn't installed properly.

I restored the laptop to two different previous restore points with no effect and so have since undid all restores (using the onscreen keyboard and a mouse).

I have tried pressing F2/F6/F8 on startup but with no effect....

I have seen a fix that has seemed to work for people where they disconnect the power lead and battery, press and hold the power button for 30-45 secs, connect just the battery and reboot, however my battery is internal and can't be clipped out like most laptops...

I'm running out of ideas and most driver update sites seem to be a trick to get you to install their software for free then charge you for anything else so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, I don't want to have to get an external HDD, back everythin... Read more

Hey all,
having some graphics card problems and would appreciate any help.
I built two identical computers for my parents from spare parts and some new components just to give them something to use until they can buy something newer. Both work fine with the onboard graphics, but video play back performance is obviously low (very choppy). Trying to install an upgraded graphics card and does the same thing in both systems.

System specs:
Dell Optiplex GX260
Windows XP home, SP3
2.4GHz Pentium 4, 1GB ram
Onboard graphics is Intel 82845G

Graphics card I'm trying to install is a PNY VCG62256APG
This is a Nvidia Geforce 6200 card, ddr2 256 mb, 4/8x AGP interface
Should mention the card was new last winter and hasn't been installed in any other PC's.
When I install the card and boot up it shows the specs of the graphics card in the upper left corner. Goes through the normal bios and windows boot screens. Windows opens in a low res graphics mode, says found new hardware etc etc, loads nvidia driver from windows update and prompts a reboot. After the reboot it goes through the load screens again and shows the windows boot screen with the progress bar for about 15 seconds, then just goes black. Monitor says "no signal" and goes into stand by. If I restart in safe mode I get a signal back and can open windows but in low res of course. Tried updating driver with the newest one from nvidia's website and no go. Does the same thing. All other drivers on the... Read more

Greetings everyone here at the Windows 7 Forums,

I have a Dell laptop system that has an AMD Radeon HD 7970M Graphics Card. I have recently completed a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 x64, and I need to reinstall all of my drivers. When I try to install my Radeon's drivers from the resource CD, it appears to install successfully until I reboot.

When I start up my computer again, a balloon flashes saying something along the lines of 'Installing device driver software'. After a few seconds, it says something like 'Device driver installation failed'. I don't remember the exact titles, but these should do. When I click on the balloon for more info, it shows a red X next to 'Device unplugged'.

What do I do? Does this mean that I cannot use my Radeon graphics card? I would really appreciate support and instructions on what this means and how I can fix it.

Thanks,
-Flamasone

Hey Seven Forums!
I have recently purchased a Samsung Pro 840 128GB SSD drive. I managed to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 fine without any troubles. After installing my motherboard drivers, I tried to install my graphics card drivers. This is where the problem is. After the install and restart of my PC, I get no explorer showing at all. No desktop icons, no taskbar, nothing! The only thing I get is the desktop background. I can hear Skype loading up in the background so I know that the PC hasn't froze on me.

I am able to run the PC in safe mode perfectly fine. Also, when I press CTRL+ALT+DEL the screen just changes to black and stays black. I can arrow down 4 clicks and hit enter to try and open the task manager but nothing appears.

Normally I can troubleshoot most problems by googling them however I can't seem to find any incident of this online. Here's what I've tried so far;Completely reinstalling Windows 7
Trying both the latest and beta drivers for my AMD Radeon HD6950.
Making sure that the Shell in regedit is set to explorer.exe in Safe Mode

Thanks for any advice that you can give.

Regards,

Juncie.

Answer:No Windows explorer after installing graphics driver on new SSD

Hello juncie. Welcome to the forum.

You say you reinstalled Windows after the first incident. Did the problem occur at the exact same place in the procedure? Immediately after installing the Graphics Drivers?

Is the SSD the only component you replaced? The video card is the same as before SSD?

Hello

I've purchased a new computer, namely an i3 540 on a Gigabyte H55M-S2H, without a dedicated graphics card. When I install Intel's drivers and restart (no matter which driver, I've tried them all, from both GB and Intel) Instead of my desktop I will get a black screen after the windows (7 64bit pro) logo at startup.

Thanks for any help!

Alright so I am going to install the new nvidia graphics driver update. I was wondering do I have to uninstall the previous gfx driver or can i just install the new one? I usually just install the latest one without uninstalling the older one. So I want to make sure that this would not cause problems.

it shouldn't if it's just a driver update for your installed version.

occasionally, some driver updates (for any kind of program) will cause problems, but not usually. you could set a system restore to go back to if you're worried and there's no rollback/uninstall feature, but i'm thinking you probably won't have any problems with nVidia especially since you haven't before.

Hi

Did Windows come pre-installed or did you have to install it? did you instsll the Chipset driver for this model motherboard first, then reboot and install the gfx driver (use the GB one) if not try this again.
You have been installing drivers that are 64bit versions?

Do any devices in Device Manager have yellow ! marks, if so next to what?

Can you boot into Safe Mode ok?

Have you been installing any software, or has this just happened before and 3rd party software, like antivirus was installed?

I've downloaded the latest graphics driver as suggested by NVIDIA for my GE Force 8800 GT Graphics Card. Driver v.196.21. It downloads ok but when I try to install it I get the Install Wizard which whizzes through then shows the following "The system has not been modified. To install the program at a later time run the installation again" I've run it again three times but the answer is still the same. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks. My OS is Windows Vista 32 bit.

use control panel - add/remove progs and remove the old nvidia driver. Reboot and then try to install it. If that still does not work remove again and this time restart in safe mode by hitting key f8 before the windows logo starts.

Note: The system that I will be referring to in this thread is not the one listed in my profile, it is a much older system. I am currently using it because the system listed in my profile is being fixed after an unfortunate incident. But worry not, I shall be listing the specifications of this system in this thread!

Hello there. I have a bit of a problem with my GPU. I recently purchased a WD Blue 500GB HDD for this system. I purchased it because the original 160GB HDD that originally came with this system had died. After installing the newly-purchased HDD into the system, I went on to install Windows 7 on it. After that I had went to the NVIDIA website to download the graphics driver for this system's GPU (An NVIDIA GT 220). It successfully downloaded with no problems, and had also successfully installed, with no problems. And then it told me that I have to restart my computer to finish installing the driver. I restarted the computer and after that, it sent me to my desktop. I was quite happy at that moment, when suddenly, while watching a YouTube video, it suddenly froze in the desktop. I was forced to shut it down by the PSU. That kept on happening ever since I have installed the driver. When I try to uninstall the driver, it doesn't freeze but the resolution is very low, about 800 x 600 or so. I don't know if it's the driver or the GPU itself. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Answer:Frequent crashes after installing graphics driver.

You installed the latest one correct, and your OS is 64bit? 2GB is almost not enough RAM for the system it self. Drivers | GeForce (that driver is for 64bit not 32) to find out your motherboard use speccy. https://www.piriform.com/speccy
