[Solved] need to find Windows 10 home iso (non-Insider link)

Question: [Solved] need to find Windows 10 home iso (non-Insider link)

anyone has a link (not the insider one) where i can download the core verson build 10162

Preferred Solution: [Solved] need to find Windows 10 home iso (non-Insider link)

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: [Solved] need to find Windows 10 home iso (non-Insider link)

I don't understand. AFAIK, all Windows 10 builds are insider builds.

Hello,

I had tested Windows 10 a few builds with my Windows 10 Insider account, I just downloaded it again from the link which took me to the RTM download, where do I find the key that was used with the Insider builds?

Unable to activate without this, I wasn't sure if it would realize I was logged into an insider account and activate automatically or not.

Thanks.

Not everyday but probably everyother day when I try to connect to the internet it looks like I have connected but the home page will not come up, I try pinging the ISP and it will come back 1 received 3 lost I will do it again it will say 2 received 2 lost, I will try a third time and it might say 4 received none lost, but when I try IE it will come up page cannot be displayed, Everytime the problem has been the password is gone. When I retype the password in and then dial up it will connect right away and the Internet home page will come right up and everything works fine. Then the same thing will happen the next day or it might be 2 or 3 days then it will happen again. The ISP says there must be a bug somewhere. But read what I have run and then if anyone has any idea's of what else I can do PLEASE HELP ME OR TELL ME, I am confused on what to do next.

I have already done the following

1. Adware SE 1.05

two problems. #1 bigger than #2. i am so angry and frustrated...i've looked up so much, tried so much, and it just shouldn't be so hard. i've had one of the same computers work on another network years ago just fine.

>>> already found help on older forums on this site, but it did not help me completely.

3 computers connected through same wireless router: 2 are desktops (xp home), 1 is a laptop (xp pro). desktops are sharing files just fine (but not printers) through home network using just windows xp, no external software.

problem #1: LAPTOP is not fully functional in the network. the other desktops can see the laptop (it lists it by name under certain functions, like add printer), but its folders do not show up anywhere, it doesn't show up in the network, and it doesn't do anything functional--it says it's unavailable and to ask network administrator, may not have rights, blah blah blah. (in fact, no computers show up under home network name, and connecting directly to the computer name \\JEANNE-DT, for example, gives same error, but the shared folders show up in network places and thus, do work.)

here is everything i've tried for problem #1 above:
- turned off all firewalls (windows and external, i.e., zone alarm)
- turned on and set to automatic, wireless zero configuration
- turned of all virus protection
- ran the network setup wizard on all computers
- pinged between each computer (all work)
- restarted a million times

Yesterday I did a hard reset of my PC on build 10240 because it was sluggish and the store could not download any apps or updates. Except it went wrong and my hard drive was basically had to be reformatted. I reinstalled Windows 8.1 Pro through the recovery USB I received with the PC. After some batch updates, I'm back on Windows 10 except now it's the home edition instead of the Pro edition I had as an insider. I just checked and I don't see an option for any preview builds, and I'm worried that if I install any preview builds it will not be activated. In fact, the store still doesn't download apps after a fresh install.
Can I go back to being an insider, and is there a way to start downloading apps again?

If you would like to test the "Core" version...

Replace the pid.txt with an ei.cfg file. You can then select Home edition at setup - during setup it will prompt for a key but you have the option to skip, it will activate automatically with this key after completion: BD8NM-JGY2P-8JJYD-WTYKR-HQRJM.

ei.cfg:

Code:

NB: this only applies to the official ISO (not ESD's)

Answer:Windows 10 Home Insider Preview

If going the ESD upgrade route, upgrading a Seven Home Premium or less or the basic Windows 8, you get Windows 10 Home.

Hello all,

I registered at the Insider website but I could not find an exclusive Windows 10 Home ISO so I downloaded this one:

However, when I verify the ISO it shows its for Windows 10 Pro.

Is this perhaps a multi-version ISO, and, if not, where do I get the one that is exclusively for Windows 10 Home?

Thanks for your help,

WOT

Answer:Which Insider ISO Contains the Windows 10 Home Version?

It should contain both version, but you can download it from TechBench by WZT as well.

Hi guys,
I just got back from vacation and suddenly can't connect to my Wifi network at home with my netbook anymore. It says validating identity but never connects. When I try to repair the connection, it keeps authenticating and then says that windows is unable to find a certificate to log me on to the network. I did some googling and it was suggested to uncheck the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network box under the Authentication tab in Wireless Network properties. I tried that but then I get an error message saying "The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration".
I have no idea what to do or what the problem is. My other laptop works fine from which I have set up this network works fine. My phone seems to work fine, too. I already restarted the router and my netbook but that didn't help either.
I would appreciate some help!
Thanks

I currently own a laptop with Windows 10 Home (x64) pre-installed. I have been an Insider since the inception of the Insider program but on my previous laptop which had Windows 10 Pro (x86) on it.
On my current laptop, the build 15063 is installed and I want to directly take a leap to RS4 branch using the ISO, of build 17025, released by Microsoft on the Windows Insider website. The website lists three versions of the ISO viz. Windows 10 Insider Preview, Windows 10 Insider Preview Enterprise and Windows 10 Insider Preview Home China.
I am sure that the last two options aren't for my laptop. To not make an unnecessary mess, I want to make sure that the first option, the Windows 10 Insider Preview, is the correct one and I can safely install it on my laptop.
So, is the aforementioned ISO applicable to Windows 10 Home as well? Thanks.

I am stressed

I have made sets of recovery disks on HPs and Gateways etc. A friend of mine just bought an Acer computer. Vista, Where does he go to make his set of recovery disks in case he ever needs them. like Start>Accessories>systemtools or where do you go? I can't find it, then also he bought the computer at wal-mart when you buy from a store like that it should already be activated shouldn't it?and my last question is it came with 2 sticks of RAM 1 GIG Each, the computer has 4 slots for ram. The guy at wal-mart sold him anther 2 gigs of ram but on one stick. With 4 slots and the first two haveing 1 gig sticks in them shouldn't he add two more stick of one gig each to make his 4 gigs? the 2 gig stick they game him doesn't look like the first two, it is as long but only half as wide as the two that arre in the computer? anyway, I put is serial number in the acer site and it won't let me pull nothing up so I can check on this stuff. It is a B32350 IT SAYS ASPIRE M1100 Can someone at least help with where to make the recovery disk at on this acer?

Answer:Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview?

I couldn't make the change a few updates in the past, seems the Insider Preview is a different edition from the RTM/Released version. As far as I've seen on my test machines the Insider Preview is Pro only while the RTM/Released version is available as Home and Pro. There's also the Enterprise and Education which many consumers/users won't use.

Hi!

I'm frustrated Darrell looking for answers. I have a d link 604 router hooked up to a primary computer with Win XP Pro on it. I'm not sure if the primary computer is configured properly, but I have access to the high-speed internet through the router port 1. I've aledy upgraded the firmware to version 2.20. I downloaded the .220 version to my desktop, then deleted it after selecting it. Another step I took was to diable the windows firewall. I also have a Win98/SE I would like to connect to one of the other ports 2,3,4. The Win98 computer is working on the connection also if I by-pass the router and hook up directly to the ADSL modem. Do the other ports have to be configured also, or does the Win98 computer have to be configured too? I need acces through my router. The WAN LED is working, the port 1 LED is working for the primary computer with XP on it. But when I hook up the 98 to the router via a 50' lan cable, the IE6 window comes up with a DNS error, cannot find server.

I guess I'm not as computer savy as I thought cause I can not seem to get this network set up. I want to be able to access files and such from my DeskTop on my LapTop. My Desktop runs windows2000 professional. My Laptop runs WindowsXP. I have cable net hooked into a d-link DI-604 Ethernet Broadband Router. Although my laptop is wi-fi enabled, both my computers are wired to said router for internet.

Every time I try to set up a network using the network wizard, it trys to connect to my neighbors wi-fi. I have disabled wi-fi on my laptop, and it still gets hung up here. It doesn't give me the option of setting up a network from the wired LAN hookup, however in network connections it does acknowlege the LAN connection, so it is there.

Any ideas? Am i totally getting this wrong?

If you are looking for the app then the easiest way is to click on the 'store' icon on the Start screen and then search for 'skype' - it should be the first choice that appears, just tap on it and it will install. It's also worth checking to make sure you haven't already got it as a lot of the Windows 8 machines I've seen already have it installed, you just need to run it."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." I recently bought a new Vista HP Compaq Presario CQ50 notebook, and have had no problems, up till now, connecting to my home network via my home PC and Linksys wireless router.

I had left home for 2 days, bringing my laptop with me naturally. Keep in mind that my wirless connection was fine before I left, but when I returned, the laptop failed to find my home network. It has no trouble at all finding other local networks, but for some reason, not mine. Now, the only way I am able to connect it to my network is via ethernet cable.

Once again, my wireless card is on, as I am able to locate other networks in my neighborhood. My home PC cannot be firewalling/ preventing access to my laptop, if Im able to connect via ethernet cable, right?

Im not really an expert on computers, so advice or help would be great.

Today, I bought a new Sony Vaio laptop and a wireless router. Upon returning home, I discovered that my 2WIRE modem already functions as a wireless router, but I need a WEP key to access the network. I'm not sure where to look to find this key, and I would appreciate any help. Finding this key would mean a refund on the sixty dollar router and would be greatly benificial.

Thanks in advance.

Answer:Solved: Unable to find the WEP key on my home modem (which could nullify any extra cost).

Answer:how do i find my windows 7 home activation key

Somewhere on the computer is the Microsoft COA.(Certificate of Authenticity). The activation code or Product Key is on that.It is a series of 25 letters and numbers, split into groups of 5.
When you enter them, Windows automatically capitalizes and adds dashes.
If activation fails, follow instructions to activate by phone.

This happened out of the blue two days ago. Applications do work, but if I click a document (anywhere in the directories) I always get this popup :
''Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\.... -insert whatever thread here- . Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.''
I have tried right clicking and opening and I still get the same popup. I have ran kaspersky and it came up with a no malware/virus result.
I'm not sure how to fix this at all but I really need to access my files , has anyone encountered a problem like this before and successfully managed fixing it?

Client Bought a New Lenovo Q150. Out of the Box it gets "No boot device detected" message. Lenovo overnights a new HDD. I go on site to swap out HDD's. Still no same message, Lenovo doesn't pre-image there HDD's. So i call them to ask what to do. I get told CX should of gotten a Recovery Disk. He didn't. There only option there willing to give is DEPO service 7-10 Business Days.

Is there anywhere I can inexpensively pick up a recovery DVD, and get this guy up and running. Everything I find are for recoveries, not clean installs.

Any help would be grateful.

Answer:Windows 7 Home Prem Recovery DVD, Where to find one.

Answer:Where to find a clean ISO of Windows 7 Home Premium

Hi LacerdaPC Legally speaking, the only place you can get Windows 7 .iso from is the Microsoft Software Recovery Center if you have a retail version of Windows, or your computer manufacturer if you have an OEM version of it. Any other way of getting a Windows 7 .iso (except of course from a MSDN account) is not legal.

When I try to open "Add or Remove Programs" I get the following error message:"Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe', Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again..."I have the Windows XP installation disk so I tried following the instructions on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/812340 but I couldn't get that to fix the problem.I think this problem may have occurred a few days ago when I scanned with Spyware Doctor and quarantined a bug called "Trojan-Spy.pophot.WX." I noticed a file called rundll32.exe among the associated quarantined items. I was going to restore it from Spyware Dr to see if my rundll32 would return but I accidentally removed it from the quarantine list. So, I am not able to test this theory. Thanks for any help you may can provide. Also, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum. It's a Windows problem but yet I think it may have been caused by a Trojan (removal), not sure. Also I just tried SFC.EXE /SCANNOW and that didn't fix the problem either...still the same error message.

Just looking for a bit of advice.

A computer I'm working on gives teh following error when attempting to log on to any user under normal bootup:

"The system cannot log you on because the domain [computer name]* is not available."

*the computer name happens to be the name of the client, and so I have omitted it.

[computer name] is just the name of the computer as shown if you look in the Computer Name tab under My Computer > Properties. If I change it, the error message changes to reflect it.

I've worked on this same computer in the past for the same problem. Last time I solved it by doing a system restore. This time, system restore fails (no matter what date I use).

Has anyone else seen this before? If so, is this an easily solvable problem and I'm just being a numbskull, or is this just Windows corruption best solved by a wipe/reload?

For posterity, the exact OS is XP Home w/SP2 installed. It appears to have Windows Update set to automatic, and most of the updates installed are just the critical/security ones.

(As a side-note, I thought WinXP Home couldn't log into domains [without a hack], anyway, that's why it's Home instead of Pro...is that wrong?)

Looking for the simplest answer.

Hi,

After months of struggling with my computer to get rid of all the viruses it had, I apparently and accidentally deleted important files, so my computer won't start anymore, showing the message "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\hal.dll. Please re-install a copy of the above file."
I've tried everything to fix this problem without having to resort to a complete reformat of my C:, but finally decided to go for that option, since no other solution seemed possible. So I have already backed up all my important information to an external hard drive (I'm aware that some of the files I copied could contain a virus) through the use of the rescue CD "ERD Commander" (I also have the XP Pilitos, which is very good). However, before I proceed to reformatting the C:, I would like to know if there is any way I can create a copy of my orignal OS (when I bought the computer, the OS came pre-insalled and I didn't get the OS CD which I need now). Anyway, I haven been able to access my C: and see the partitions with Pilitos, and it does seem to have 2 partitions: one -the smaller- says "data", the other one is I guess the one I where I generally work. My questions are:

a) Is there any way I can check through either the ERD Commander or the XP Pilitos whether the Original Windows XP Home CD is in that partition and create my CD from there?
b) Can I reformat the other parti... Read more

Hi everyone. I have a problem. I tried to go to a web page in Internet Explorer because it wouldn't work in Firefox. Well, when I typed in the web page address on Internet Explorer and hit the Enter button, it went to Firefox and proceeded to load the page in Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Firefox is set as my default browser. I have Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 3.0.1. The main problem with this is that I cannot download Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 because I can't go to the Windows Update site. As you know, Firefox is incompatible with Windows Update. So, if you all could please help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Greetings all,

I have a DVD copy of the latest Insider Build (16288) thanks to 'f14tomcat'

I have the latest Creator's Build on both my laptop/desktop (15063.608). I am wondering if i can do an update using the DVD (within Windows, not booting from the DVD) without actually being part of the Insider's program?? If so, will this trigger my Windows install to automatically put me in the Insider's program (hoping not)

Since this build has no expiration i was hoping to run it on my desktop (taking image before doing of course) till the Fall Build is released & install that over 16288. Is this possible?? Can anyone point out any negatives to doing such??

I've read more positive remarks about this build so i'm willing to give it a shot as long as it is doable. I will hold off till i hear from the gurus.
TIA,

Ray

Dear Friends, After installing Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits on my new S206, the operating system does not recognize wireless device. Any suggestions? (I'm not a novice, but I spent a few good hours on this issue already and didn't make any progress whatsoever  Need your help! Thanks in advance.

Answer:IdeaPad s206 Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit does not find wireless after clean install

Hey, did you format your HDD using GPT instead of MBR? Then you might have the same bug your predecessor S205 suffered from. In GPT formatted HDDs WLAN Chips are only being recognized after you installed (and started!) the Lenovo Energy Management (I am not sure about the exact right name at the moment). It might work with your S206 aswell.Best regards.

Answer:XP home reinstall does not find previous version of Xp home

Sounds like you have an Upgrade disc, does it say Upgrade on the disc itself?
Is it asking you it insert a disk with the previous OS?

In that case, you should be able to insert the CD for your previous operating system (Win9x/WinME/Win2K) to show setup that you have a qualifying copy.

Not sure what you mean by downloading link, but I think you mean the button you click which starts the download.Right click on the button that starts the download-and click on copy shortcut. You can now paste the link into your downloader. This doesn't work all the time, only works with buttons that directly starts the download.Hope this helps.

The default as per D-Link documentation is a username of admin with no password: http://www.dlink.ca/products/?tab=3&pid=DIR-615&rev=DIR-615

If that doesn't work then you should contact D-Link or exchange the router.

Hello Guys,

I download a file containing stock market data from a website. Basically I open the webpage and there is a link View in Excel (top most right) and when I click on it the browser asks me to where to save the file.

After the file is saved I can view it. It is a csv file and is generated every day. So the filename is specific to a date.

I want to write a program that can download the file automatically but I am unable to determine the download link. I tried to check this using IE and DAP but the download link appears as the webpage name. Plus its unable to download through DAP.

Can you guys determine download link or tell me how can I do it otherwise I have to manually do it everyday.

The site address is : http://www.mcxindia.com/SitePages/BhavCopyDateWise.aspx

Here click on view in excel (topmost right) allows us to save file to our system.

Thank you,

Cheers,
GR

Hi
I had a driver problem with tp-link tl wn722n in windows 8. (solved myself but tried all the things on the internet)
The errors I got were:
Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.
And, also when I try to install the software utilities on windows 8, i got blue screen and I fixed using refresing windows 8.
Then I tried lots of manual installation things, but only that one worked for me
go to TL-WN722N - Welcome to TP-LINK (you need to establish some other internet connection of course)
download TL-WN722N_100629
or direct download via this link http://www.tp-link.com/resources/sof...22N_100629.zip
extract zip file
run devmgmt.msc (device manager)
click on (or highlight with keyboard) USB2.0 WLAN
open context menu (right click or press context menu key)
click/hit enter on update driver software
select browse my computer
locate the folder you've got after extraction
next
you're done
I've tried so many things with the driver in the cd coming within package, none of them worked. (tried to install atheros chip driver, got same error)
I searched web and since win8 is new, there was no help form there. Tried described things in websites but none of them worked.
Now it's perfect.
I did restarted my windows 8 and didn'... Read more

Answer:windows 8 tp-link tl wn722n driver problem (solved myself)

I have Win8 . I have the Atheros drivers for my TP-Link wireless pci cards, but I changed to the Win 8 drivers. I have win 8 with TP-Link wireless and TP-Link Router. I tried Atheros drivers, but changed to Win drivers. One of my computers is on 5 GHZ band, the other is on 2 GHZ band, because it will not stay on the 5 GHZ, but maybe because it is a few more feet away than the computer that works fine on 5 GHZ band wireless. I wonder if those with TP-Link and Win 8 find Atheros drivers or Win8 drivers better and which band?

This has been on he a few times I think. But the solutions seem to be no working or don't apply.

When I reboot normally and in safe mode I get "Windows - no disk. Please insert disk
in drive." Since I don't know how to handle it I click cancel three or four times and it disappears. I just started getting it about four hours ago after removing Brave Sentry with SmitfraudFix and Hijackthis! (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Security/Q_21921192.html - the solution page for the Brave Sentry malware) I think it could be related.

Help is appreciated, and here is my HijackThis log:

Hi all,

I seem to be unable to open any links from inside my emails, starting today(at least I think it started today as I have been out of town for the weekend and my wife was home...but she doesn't use outlook express)...I get error messages saying:

"The webpage at http://click.canada.dell.com/r/IBYP7V/WLJXF/JZHYC/GL4B2/8MORN/QR/h might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

and in the more error detail I get:

"Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error."

I am unable to open any links that I attempt to open in my email account.

thank in advance for any help that I may get

This is probably malware related,

Go to this board, read the first "Sticky" at the top very carefully, then post your HJ log on that board for expert help.

Answer:Solved: Solved: Find: Temporary Internet Files folder in Windows Explorer

Temporary Internet Files are located within the users's profiles, such as:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

Each user has its own files.

Open Internet Explorer. Select Tools, then Internet Options. Under Temporary Internet Files click on Settings, then View Files.
