Preferred Solution: Award Winning Kaspersky Security Scan for FREE - facebook

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Award Winning Kaspersky Security Scan for FREE - facebook

Please be aware this is just a free scanner, it will not remove infections unless you buy.
Basically just a promotional ad to get you to buy. As far as I know they have always offered a free scanner with no removal ability.

Answer:Award winning BIOS opinion

I checked out the BIOS Agent update, and researched it, and there are alot of complaints that the "update BIOS" is usually the same one that is available for free from the OEM, or in some cases, has bricked a system.

I suggest you not spend the money on a BIOS Agent subscription, and instead go to your OEM, and see if there is a BIOS update for your system.

Howdy,I recently scanned my computer with Kaspersky Free Online Scan. The scan log indicated that I have a Trojan that has infected my computer. Below are the two items infected by the same Trojan.C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\72BF65DB.tmp Infected: Trojan.Java.ClassLoader.ao skipped C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\72C20FD8.tmp Infected: Trojan.Java.ClassLoader.ao skipped I searched for information about this Trojan and got the following results. (In order to enlarge the screen shot below to make it legible ,I had to disable my pop up blocker)I removed Norton Security 2006 from my computer over a month ago. It looks as if these items are in quarantine somewhere in my computer. After the scan I re-started my computer in safe mode and ran a scans with SpyBot S&D, Ad-Aware SE, AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 Free and SUPERAntiSpyware. The combined results were three tracking cookies.I then re-started in normal mode and ran a scan with Windows Live Care and Housecall, they came up clean. Are these items harmless ? I ask that because it seems to show they are quarantined. Regardless, I would like to do away with these items.Could someone please tell me how to locate these files (?) and how to delete them ?Thank You for your time.Dennis XP Home, SP-2, IE-7

Hi,
So I was told to use this scanner called Kaspersky Security Scan FREE to scan my PC, I was told that it has the same detection rate as the paid Kaspersky antivirus but minus the real time protection.etc (BTW is Norton better than Kaspersky for detection rate?)

I was told this is a great portable scanner.

Does this really have the same detection rate has the same one? If so thats so cool! I heard Kaspersky is one of the best!

Thanks

PS: I have Hitman Pro and Malwarebytes + Avast, I am a bit paranoid so I want some temporary scanners, I am thinking of downloading Zemana + Kaspersky Security Scanner, I have heard good things about Norton Power Eraser but bad things about Norton as a company, should I trust Norton power eraser? IS there anything else I should download?

Thanks for your time

Answer:Kaspersky Security Scan?

Use HitmanPro instead, it packs both Bitdefender and Kaspersky signature databases. It is technically a paid product, but you can legally use it forever if you select "I just want to scan my PC once".
About NPE, it is an agressive scanner and shouldn't be used regularly unless you suspect that your PC is infected.

I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. When I do the full scan, it does not complete. I can do the critical scan, but the full scan always says 99% and <1 minute. But this has been going on for 3 days! I rebooted my machine and ran it again overnight. Again, 99% and <1 min remaining (over 12 hours). I am concerned I will not get a full scan; this is my first time running the full scan for the 2011 edition. I am using Win 7 Home Premium on a Acer Aspire laptop 5740-6378.The 2010 version worked fine before. Help!

Hello,
After running for the first time Kaspersky Security Scan on a fresh windows 8.1 install, it found 6 trojans in the module folder of my ESET Antivirus protection.. I did also run TDSS Killer prior to that scan and it found a medium risk infection in the AMD Fuel folder. I am quite surprised by this, as I run everything up to date and do not visit shady websites.I will attach a FRST log, the log from TDSS and a KSS screenshot.
Are those false positives or is the system really infected?
Thank you for your help in advance!

Answer:Kaspersky Security Scan finds 6 trojans - false positives?

Here are the complete paths for the 6 files that KSS showed as infected:

HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Prikormka.gen
C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security Premium\Modules\em002_64\31466\em002_64.dll.raw
In the meantime I did full scans with Eset Online Scanner, Malwarebytes, Emsisoft Emergency Kit and Hitmanpro. Nothing was detected by any of those programs.
Is it now safe to assume that those were indeed false posotives from Kaspersky Security Scan?
I should also mention that I enabled the in depth scan function for that KSS scan. Prior to that scan I did one without in depth scanning and it found nothing.

What can I do ?

Today doing a scan with Kaspersky Security Scan, the program found the trojan "HEUR: Trojan-Downloader.Script.Generic" the path in which it is located is "C: \ pagefile.sys". After finding it I immediately disconnected the internet (I am writing from another computer) and started to scan the PC with; Malwarebytes anti-malware, Adw Cleaner, Windows Defender (full and offline analysis), Hitman Pro, Rogue Killer (but not the most up-to-date version, because I still had to upgrade to the next version), Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and Tdss Killer. I ran the scans even in safe mode but none of these programs reported this trojan to me. Looking for the file manually in the path that tells me Kaspersky, I can not open it, when I try it comes out a message saying "can not access the file, the file is used by another process", he tells me this even in safe mode. The point now is that I can not delete the Trojan, as Security Scan does not allow me to delete it. What do you advise me to do now? Thanks in advance for your help.

Small addition: I'm not the type of person who downloads random stuff on the internet, I don't use anymore program like Utorrent and when I download a file I always check the source, and if I have a doubt I also use Virus Total. I tell you this to make you understand the situation better.

Gday.

I have kaspersky internet security but my license has ran out. Im just wondering if I should purchase another license or if their are free programs that are better? Or is kaspersky better than all free programs?
Thanks.

Answer:kaspersky internet security VS Sas, AVira free.

Whether one antivirus is better than another is more a matter of opinion than fact. It all depends on what criteria you use for the comparison.

Having said that, I think the free antivirus solutions available are more than adequate. I personally use the freeware Comodo antivirus/firewall combination. Why pay for something when you can get it for free!

Remember though, all the protection in the world won't stop you from getting infected if you're not careful about how you use your computer.

Until today I?d still say screw (pardon me) the free Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 for attendees and hosts of !important]Windows!important]7 launch parties promotion. It has been annoyingly ?posted everywhere? and finally when the day comes, you need to enter the party host?s email address to receive the license. Well some lucky and smart people are able to imporatntGooglrfor the host?s email address but still Kaspersky deactivated a lot of codes that were obtained fraudulently. Even for those free 6 months KIS or KAV license from magazine promotions were also strictly being monitored and immediately terminated when they found out it has been leaked.

For a limited time (promotion ends 2 PM PST December 12, 2009), Gizmo's is giving away DefenseWall HIPS v2.56 (no updates or support provides) for free.

DefenseWall HIPS is a popular program known for its policy-based (as opposed to signature based) anti-malware approach; it creates a "trusted" and "untrusted" list of applications and reduces access for the applications on the untrusted list.

DefenseWall HIPS works very similarly to GesWall which I have discussed in my article on best free security software.

Being a "HIPS" program, DefenseWall HIPS should not be used as standalone security software; it is what I call a "sidekick". In other words, you should have other security software, such as anti-virus/anti-malware and firewall, installed on your computer. DefenseWall HIPS will play along fine with your other security software, as long as you are not running another HIPS program.

The only reservation about this promotion I have is the fact that no updates will be provided. While DefenseWall HIPS can fair well without updates because of the nature of how it works, I don't know about you, but I would never run a security software that will receive no updates. Malware writers are continually "updating" their malware to break the newest and best shiny toys you can protect your computer with. It makes no sense for someone to use a security software that won't receive updates

Hello to the group! I've been a sand-bagger for 2-3 years now. I do Tech support, and usually I can do anything...but; not this time. I think this issue is worth sharing and working on:

My client's PC is infected with "Security Tool". That would not be an issue except the NONE of the tools recommended anywhere will take control of the PC. To be specific:
The OS is Vista Home Premium.
All tools are tried w/ "run as Administrator". All these tools are tried, but the malware kills them all.

No variant of RKill works, TFC does not work, Task Manager fails, McAfee can't be accessed, Safe Mode will not start (Yea, like...Wow...it won't start in safe mode! It just re-boots instead of progressing to the login)..

This poor person just bought this Laptop, so there's no user content to be concerned with. She needs to get back to College; so It's "Wipe and rebuild" for this one.
Still, we've got to find a way to take control when this malware is running!

So, your thoughts and time are appreciated.
What else could have been done here?

Answer:Security Tool infection is Winning the Battle!!!

Try This:

Lets take a look with Malwarebytes

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here:
Malwarebytes
Please rename the file BEFORE downloading to abcdefg.exe instead of mbam-setup.exe

MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.

Double Click abcdefg.exe to install the application.
* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy&Paste the entire MBAM report (even if it does not find anything) in your next reply

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed ... Read more

I have Avast version 4.7 Home Edition Free installed on my computer.

When I ran a scan today with Avast, it detected a virus and I deleted it. I then ran another scan and there were no viruses reported.

Then I went to Kaspersky's online virus scanner and ran it and it detected 2 viruses on my computer, but of course the only way to get rid of the one's detected is to purchase Kaspersky Anti Virus.

Questions are.
1. How did the virus that Avast detected get on the computer in the first place? I have the on access protection control running with all of the modules activated with the exception of Outlook (I do not have Outlook on my computer).

2. Why is Kaspersky detecting 2 viruses on my computer at the present time and Avast detects none?

Do I need to ditch Avast Free and pay for Kaspersky as a better Virus protector.

Thanks for any ideas and suggestions,

Jerry

Hi, really sorry if this is the wrong place or the wrong kind of forum to ask these kind of questions (alot of you guys seem like pros haha)

My Kaspersky AV licence is up and i'm looking at buying Total Security for another year and saw on Kaspersky website this new software they are calling Kaspersky Security cloud. The page for my knowledge is a little vague and it just looks kind of like Total Security repackaged.

Is there any crucial differences in KTS and this new Security cloud that would benefit me buying that instead?

Thanks for your time

Answer:Kaspersky Total Security or Kaspersky Security Cloud

Are you referring to Endpoint Security Cloud? If so it's for business customers only. If you're referring to something else could you please link to it.

If you're happy with KTS then I see no reason why you shouldn't renew it.

hi gents
i want to know the difference between kaspersky antivirus and kaspersky free . and what about this combo(KFA+ZAM premium+APPcheck free)+Malwarebyte antimalware on demand scanner . is KAV has antiphsing protection ??

Answer:Difference between Kaspersky Free and Kaspersky Antivirus

the only difference between KAV and KAF is that KAV has system watcher = behavior blocker. system watcher is one of the most powerful weapons of kaspersky that's why they charge you for that
they both have phishing protection

your combo looks OK to me. I can recommend that
but I don't agree with Malwarebytes because it seems redundant to me. zemana as the second opinion scanner is sufficient enough. It's realtime protection is different from its on-demand scanner. You will get better result with on-demand scanning than the realtime protection

Kaspersky Lab Presents a New Version of Kaspersky Small Office Security to Reflect Modern Needs of Small Business
Kaspersky Lab announces its latest edition of the Kaspersky Small Office Security, the company?s security solution built specifically for businesses with fewer than 25 employees. This solution provides world-class protection and easy use without the need for specialist IT skills. New features make it easier to focus valuable resources on running and developing the business while keeping operations, customer?s and employee?s data secure.

Nowadays, small businesses are frequently becoming prey for cybercriminals because they generally pay less attention for cybersecurity while housing increasingly valuable data. According to recent survey results, the share of companies that allow usage of personal employee?s devices within the corporate network has grown to 62% in 2014. At the same time, although businesses realize that customer?s personal information (25%), payment requisites (13%) and trade secrets (12%) are among top priorities of their information security needs, they keep taking very basic protective measures, relying, for example, on free anti-malware products. Respondents indicated that they desire a powerful, but simple and easy-to-use security solution that would come at an affordable price.

Kaspersky Small Office Security is equipped with enterprise-grade technologies, but it was designed specifically to serve the needs of very small bu... Read more

Windows 10 64 Pro Anniversary Build Latest Update
Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 Latest Update
No other RealTime security software.

My portable programs SecurMyBit, VidCoder, etc... were under "Low Restricted" in Application Control.
I move them to "Trusted" in AC.
After couple of days, the programs rules are neither in "Trusted" or "Low Restricted".
When I run the programs, they appear under "Low Restricted" And I again move them to "Trusted" But after couple of days the same mentioned above i.e the programs rules are neither in "Trusted" or "Low Restricted".

Is it a bug or bug on Windows 10 64 or bug in KIS 2017 or ............?

Any info?

Any Kaspersky users experience the above?

Answer:Kaspersky Application Control - Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 bug?

Yes, this happens & not only in 2017 but in earlier versions as well.

I experience it as well, but not quite often as you are. Mine comes when i am disconnected from internet for a while & then connect again, then (i guess) KSN checks the app control rules again & places them (apps) as described in the KSN rule-set.

The problem come from the setting 'Load rule for applications from KSN' in application control, which is enabled by default.

This shouldn't be a problem if you are using default settings (Auto-mode) as Low restricted is basically Trusted in auto-mode. But if you use interactive mode, this causes a lot of prompts which can be quite annoying.

Does this make a big difference in protection?
I am asking because I want to combo Kaspersky with an app that has a HIPS component, so I need to use KAV rather than KIS.

Application control and Trusted Applications Mode are a great additional layer of protection. Which app do you want to add to Kaspersky? IMO KIS would be the best. TAM is really great.

Norton Security has been awarded the best computer protection software, based in test and comparison of components of brands software for all the devices, including support!

Considerations of the test:

In addition to test results, we consider the software's feature sets, which vary according to the operating system you use the software on. The most complete feature sets are in the Windows components of multiplatform computer protection software.

Antiphishing is now just as important as antimalware. Fortunately, all of the products include it in their Windows components. Furthermore, most of the products we reviewed can detect threats that attempt to infiltrate via emails and instant messages. All of the products that we reviewed can automatically check for threats to Windows that try to move in when you attach removable storage such as a USB thumb drive.

The Macintosh component feature lists are usually not as extensive as those of the Windows component. Most of the products in our review support antiphishing on Mac machines. It is not by coincidence that the three products at the bottom of our ranking do not protect Macs from malicious websites.

The features you can expect to find in the Android component of the products we reviewed include antitheft features, call blocking and message filtering. Many of the mobile products also protect you from malicious websites. Some of them include parental controls and backup utilities. Each product we reviewed has an applic... Read more

Is Kaspersky scanning those and if so how can I configure it to only scan MY physical drive? The docs aren't helpful.

It prolly scans all drives....

You *should* be able to just tell it to scan all LOCAL drives.... most AV programs have that option.

Answer:Kaspersky Scan

Hi the doomedThe files that Kapersky is flagging are infected emails that reside in your Outlook Express email client. My recommendation is that you firstly try and find the emails that correspond to the following:Sent from the email address --> [email protected] empty all deleted/spam folders. If you scan with Kapersky and they are still there, i recommend that you save all the emails that you definatley need then basically flush all other emails out of Outlook, as you cannot be sure where the email is hiding.David

I heard about the ReclaimPrivacy.org Facebook Privacy Scanner from Merijn Bellekom (the creator of HijackThis and other applications). He tested it and found that it does not work in Opera but works great in Firefox. ReclaimPrivacy.org | Facebook Privacy Scanner

This website provides an independent and open tool for scanning your Facebook privacy settings. The source code and its development will always remain open and transparent.
1. Drag this link to your web browser bookmarks bar: Scan for Privacy
2. Log in to facebook.com and then click that bookmark
3. You will see a series of privacy scans that inspect your privacy settings and warn you about settings that might be unexpectedly public. My results are shown in the attached image.

Answer:Facebook Privacy Scanner - Scan your Facebook privacy settings

Thanks for this, I had a few problems but quickly sorted them out. Yet if I wouldn't have even known scary thought!

I did a Kaspersky Online Scan, and it found 6 viruses and 16 infected objects. But all the files it found were in Norton Antivirus's Quarantine folder, so...would that mean that I'm fine? Or should I delete the files anyway?

Answer:Question about Kaspersky Scan

As far as that scan goes, you are fine but you can delete the quarantined files.

It might be a good idea to post a HijackThis log in case there is anything else.

Please do the following:

Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

I'm trying to run a scan on my Toshiba laptop running Vista Home basic. I opened the browser as Administrator, disabled my AV click on scan on the Kaspersky site and my computer hangs. CPU usage is only around 5%, I can open other programs but I have to use Task Manager to close the link. I've waited quite a while for it to scan my computer configuration but the accept button is grayed out. Any ideas?

Looking over some of the comments in this forum it appears running the free Kaspersky Online Scan may help me identify and hopefully eliminate some spyware/malware etc. problems that have infected my computer. I'm running Windows XP service pak two. Is there any potential problem that running this program will cause any damage to my computer files or crash my computer? Currently the malware etc is primarily annoying with its frequent popups, but all my programs seem to operate OK. Thanks for any help/comments/suggestions.

Answer:Online Kaspersky Scan

I can't guarantee anything (and no one else can either), but I've run a Kaspersky scan when I've had problem with malware. It will take a while to download and run and you will get a very long report. As long as you're just running a scan I don't see a problem. But . . . it's still up to you.

You might want to wait and see if anyone else has a differing opinion.

Whenever I try to scan my computer, I click "Run Scan". But now, it'll display "Operation Cancelled" next to the "Run Scan" button. What's wrong?

Answer:Kaspersky Not Allowing Me to Scan

A few questions..

Is your licence still valid and properly active?
Which Kaspersky package is it?
Does the package report that protection or ;the main components' are enabled, and that it is properly up to date?
Is self protection Enabled? If not - I'd turn that on...
Any other recent infections? Any other symptoms?

Answer:kaspersky scan said 9 virus's

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please read the sticky threads before posting logs. No logs are to be posted inline and you need to run standard cleaning procedures if you are having malware problems. I would just suggest that you boot into safe mode and then delete the below folder:
C:\WINDOWS\bundles

If that does not resolve your problems then please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

Whilst I have Norton Internet Security on my PC I took advantage of a free scan from Kaspersky. The scan lasted over three hours and revealed the following Infected File:
C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\78DE7A73.htm
The infection was said to be Exploit.HTML.IE Slice

As it appeared to have been already quarantined by Norton I opened my Norton Quarantine file but it was empty. Using Windows Explorer I found the file. My problem now is what to do with it. Should I just delete it or leave it where it is?. Also what happens when I uninstall Norton as I have already bought a new version of Norton Internet Security which I was going to install in a couple of weeks time. Thanks. Roger

Earlier I was using Bitdefender and thought Bitdefender was the number 1 and Kaspersky is the number 2. But After coming to this forum I realized that the reality is completely different! Some products have trouble working with Windows 10, some have trouble protecting 64bit systems. I did some digging and settled with two products. Kaspersky and ESET. Im using a Windows 10 64 bit system. What product might be the best for such a setup?

Answer:ESET Smart Security 9 vs Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 for Win 10 64bit

For purely protection basis you may go to ESET SS 9 as you can tweak the HIPS for protection and their Sandbox (Banking) + so far the architecture (x64) isn't affected from performance.

KIS 2016 is a promising suite, however until now limited components working from prevention due to Windows 10 environment which the developers make a note to fix those issues; but overall a balance concept where you can tweak more from numerous components.

Somehow the system impact tends to be consistent as light for ESET than Kaspersky.

Still brace yourself to see those possible unique characteristics.

hello , i just want to know in Behavior Blocker , Norton is better? or Kaspersky is better ?

thanks friends

Answer:[Behavior Blocker] Norton Security vs Kaspersky Internet Security 2016

As for Kaspersky, I have not used it since about 2009 when it was Kaspersky PURE so I cannot really comment. But as for Norton, it blocks unknown files it doesn't have a HIPS as such but any program being stupid of trying to access websites and files they shouldn't get blocked by SONAR their zero-day and zero-hour malware component.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 is a capable product which delivers everything you?d expect from a security suite: antivirus, firewall, browsing protection, a spam filter and more. The technology scores highly with the independent testing labs, too, so we were interested to see what the new build had to offer.

Installation was quick and easy. Unlike some of the competition, you?re not forced to remove anything else vaguely security-related: Kaspersky warns you about possible conflicts, but whether you uninstall any problem programs is up to you.

The interface looks a little different to previous editions -- lighter, more subdued -- but it feels very similar. Four large buttons give access to key areas (Scan, Update, Safe Money, Parental Control), and links give one-click access to your settings and a list of other tools. It?s all very straightforward, and even newcomers to Kaspersky should quickly find what they need.

We did have a few issues with the initial setup, with for example our spam filter being turned off by default. Fortunately this wasn?t difficult to spot, or fix: click Settings > Protection Center, every protective layer is listed, and you?re able to disable or enable them with a click. It only took a few moments, and we were ready for testing.

Antivirus
Kaspersky cloud-assisted antivirus technology is highly rated by independent testing labs, and it?s not difficult to see why. As we write, AV-Test?s latest reports show the Kaspersky 2014 d... Read more

Hey,

Iv been having problems recently and decided to do a Kaspersky online scan, not expecting anything but if found something

Iv deleted the mIRC file (uninstalled it ages ago, that was the only file in the directory). I scanned the other file with my Avast virus software and got that quarantined, and scared the hell out of (don't have your speakers on when a virus is detected lol).

Anyway, I ran a Superspyware scan and it found some adware and something else:

Which one is the best ?
better detection
Less false positives
Worth less in the system

I bought a license for ESET Smart Security 9, apparently Antivirus is excellent, very saw videos of comparisons with other antivirus, and it pleased me a lot, both in the interface and usability!
I was in doubt of which pay a license, get me out of this doubt, what do you think best?
Thank you!
I hope you understand my question!
I used Google Translate, I'm from Brazil.
Thank you again!

Answer:ESET Smart Security 9 VS Kaspersky Internet Security 2016?

Kaspersky for better detection and I think also less false positive

but you said "I bought a license for ESET Smart Security 9" so just use it then. Eset is good too, very light on system

Hi Guys.

I am presently using the trial version of NOD32 and have had no events either through blocking or through a full scan.

Being curious I went online to Kasperky's web site and did their online scan (I disabled NOD32 when running it) and I got all kinds of warnings, etc.

The report is below. Please advise if the Kaspersky scan is really showing viruses/malware or is everything ok.

Thanks, Jerry

Answer:Solved: Kaspersky On-Line Scan

Hi, The list does appear to be false positives- I've never seen that many in one scan before, though.

If you wish, there are two places to scan just one file at a time, ....if you do some of your suspects, and nothing is detected, it seems safe to offer that these are indeed false positives.

http://virusscan.jotti.org/

At either the process is similar, just navigate to the file's location on your hard drive in Windows Explorer, and when you click once to highlight the file it's path will show in the Submit space at the one file scan site....just hit "Submit" to upload the file for a quick but thorough scan.

Hi,
Do you want to cover all options and include a HijackThis log as well? Just a thought ...
