Preferred Solution: Intel OpenCL driver bug - How to fix problem?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I just spotted the program Intel SDK for OpenCL - CPU Only Runtime Package was installed on my desktop PC in December on the same date as the program Intel Management Engine Components. I have no idea what Intel SDK for OpenCL does. Can I safely uninstall it? See below all Intel programs currently installed.

I made inf file for g210m on toshiba u500 for 195.81 beta driver.
Just download driver and add it to unpacked directory where are other infs and install.

Now you can use OpenCL, CUDA, DirectCompute, Physx (enable it in CP) and nVidia GPU Acceleration for Adobe Flash Player (install new 10.1 beta 2 flash player by adobe)

This inf is optimized for DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_FF401179 g210m.
If you want me to add more devices please post what devices you want and i will but you will have to test it.

Hope this helps.

Answer:Satellite U500 - INF file with OpenCL, CUDA for Nvidia driver

Thanks for that but usually it?s advisable to use the Toshiba graphic card driver due to the GPU overheating protection.
Other drivers don?t support such protection and the usage of such drivers can cause an higher temperature which could affect the GPU chip?.

Recently, the WiFi on this particular laptop has been sub-par. Downloading the same file, the WiFi downloads at the rate of 70 kbps (pretty bad) while the Ethernet cable is at 700 kbps ~ 1000 kbps. I know that the Ethernet is almost always faster than the WiFi but the discrepancies are just jarring. I also noted that the signal strength is at maximum so distance isn't an issue. This isn't the case with other devices, such as my phone's WiFi speed, where I can stream HD Youtube videos with no problem.

Possible culprits:

Software:

Whenever I use Intel Driver Update Utility to attempt to fix the problem, it shows that I need to update my WiFi driver and my Bluetooth driver. The weird thing is that after I downloaded and installed those updates, it says that I need to install those same drivers after re-scanning for updates. This tells me that there's something fishy with this laptop's wireless drivers software-wise.

Hardware:

I have an Intel Wireless Dual Band AC 8260 as my wireless driver. I'm not really familiar with these, but I heard somewhere that there are certain frequency speeds (5 GHz, etc...) that need to be configured in order for the driver and the router to be compatible. The weird thing is that I've been using my laptop for 3 months now and it didn't have a problem until two weeks ago, which makes me think that this is a software problem.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Answer:Weird Intel Driver Update Utility problem? (Wi-Fi driver problem)

Are you on the first Win 10 or the Anniversary version. I noticed when I upgraded with a clean install with anniversary that some drivers are updated to Microsoft installed drivers but aren't 100% compared the first Windows 10 (non insider version) Even with severely outdated drivers all the driver dates are inside Windows are really off. They didn't fix something with drivers and updating them. Nothing extreme but its gonna give some people issues on older machines. I think with insiders earlier on Anniversary are using newish type PC's. My laptop is a 2013 model and nothing special but fully updated/optimized it amazes me. So its gonna take some trial and error with drivers.

Hi elu, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

Just checkin something: Lenovo driver installs often require two steps 1. Extract 2. Install. When you double click on the download the drivers are extracted, usually to a directory under C:\DRIVERS. You then go to that directory and run the installer, usually setup.exe. The directory and install method can vary - check the installation instructions. Are you doing both steps?

I am using a laptop so I my only option is to use the provided drivers by the manufacturer for Windows 8.1
(there are no Windows 10 drivers available at the download support site)

This error shows

after this "turn off the display" feature happens

and apparently, the Win10 Intel Driver provided by intel only works for for "generic" intel hardware

Any solutions in mind?

Answer:Intel Driver Problem

Do you have on-board Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel? If so, your run Win 10 drivers and they work fine. Right click on the desktop: you should see the same if you have an Intel Graphic card.

The Action Center is not the best place to rely on. I disable it!

Did you upgrade or clean install? We see things like this in an upgrade... Intel Graphics Drivers are among the best regarding desktop environment stability and visual rendering. On a HD monitor, the Win Ten Drivers run very well.

All the best,

I keep getting a Blue Screen of Death about a 0x00007E error concerning the igxpmp32.sys file. I tried to update the driver but im not sure which driver i need.

It's a Toshiba Tecra A10 laptop and the graphics card listed in the device manager is "Mobile Intel(R) 4 series express chipset family".

I tried to rollback the driver and the message "No driver files were saved for this driver."

Could you please help me?

This message doesnt always appear either. i've been using the laptop since last wednesday and the message never appeared. i left the laptop in prolonged sleep mode during the weekend and when i got back to work the error message appeared. I left the laptop on since 8:30 this morning and no error message appeared so far.

Also, i was using a VGA-DVI adapter to plug an external monitor onthe docking station of the laptop.

Thanks

Hey guys, I'm running the x64 developer preview on an Acer Aspire 5740 running an older Intel GMA HD, and the current driver for it is Intel? Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7* 64, Windows Vista* 64 (zip)v15.22.54.64.2622Download Link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...=3231&lang=eng
My current Driver is WDDM 1.1. I've tried following the procedure here http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-...00-3000-a.html, but after running the setup executable, the only thing that is installed is the uninstall files, then nothing happens, and when I restart, there's no intel updates when i check updates. I'm guessing it's just the difference in the two drivers that doesn't let it work with this one, so has anybody figured out how to get that particular driver working in Windows 8 or have any idea how to?

The intel driver included with my system (10.18.10.3277 - this is also the latest driver on the lenovo website) has crashed my system at least three times. The intel website tells me it needs a driver update, and my computer tells me it needs a driver update. Sadly, both the driver downloaded by windows and the driver intel recommended to me will not install on the system. I'm assuming this is because the driver must be provided by Lenovo. Is Lenovo going to get me a driver for this card that will work? It's managing to blue screen my brand new laptop when I'm using the nvidia card to run games. And yes, I've checked- it's the Nvidia card running the games, but the intel driver is what's crashing the system.

i have a brand new acer aspire 4736z laptop which i have been using for about 2 months. i seriously get a lot of problems with it and one of which is the display. i am really conscious on how my system works especially its speed. and so far, i am not satisfied to my system right now.

the problem goes with the display driver. i have an oem version of windows 7 starter which is bundled with my laptop. i have used it for a couple of weeks but got no satisfaction because it really lacks a lot of features. then i decided to upgrade to home premium thru the windows anytime upgrade. it's well and good than before! though home premium was such an eye candy, there were lots of display problems with it.

he windows built in games such as 3d chess flickers for a while on its first use then displays a message "driver intel graphics accelerator for windows vista stopped responding and has successfully recovered". the message goes as well on my first use with the windows media player during dvd playback. after my initial use, those incidents did not repeat all over again. and after a week, i decided to play plants vs. zombies on my lappy. the game flickers everytime i open it and displays the same message. so i decided just to update my display driver thru windows updates. the driver intel wddm 1.1 was replaced by intel 4 chipset family. well, the problem with plant vs. zombies was now gone. but after a few days, i notice a few instances of slow down with my pc including ha... I've been running XP32 on the system in my sig, but I've decided to upgrade to Vista Business 64-bit because I got a free copy through my school. I had been running my ICH9 SATA controller in IDE mode, but I decided to install Vista in AHCI mode.

I downloaded the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver and followed the directions to extract the files and put them on a USB flash drive. During Vista installation I clicked "Load Driver" at the partitioning screen and plugged in the flash drive. The problem is in the driver list nothing shows up unless I untick the hide unnecessary drivers checkbox. I've tried selecting and installing several different things that appear to be a match for my hardware, but each time once the install completes my AHCI controller is using the default Windows drivers instead of the Intel drivers.

Also, if I try to install the Intel drivers once Vista is installed I am told that my system doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the driver.

I've reinstalled Vista ~8 times in the last 2 days trying to figure this out and I'm about ready to forget it and just install in IDE mode without the Intel drivers, because there appears to be something fubared in them.

Answer:Intel AHCI Driver Problem

Hello.
This may be a stupid question/suggestion, but have you gone into the bios and changed ide to ahci?
If you have, it sounds like a vista or mobo issue.
Have you tried slipstreaming sp1 into vista? That may or may not fix the issue.

I was having a problem yesterday... my PC keep shutting down. Finally I got it running and received an error message that my system was recovering from a serious problem caused by an interaction between Windows and Intel Storage Driver. I have P4 processor- 845G Chipset Memory 82845G/GE/GL/GV, I/O Controller 82801DB(1CH4), Windows Home SP2. After several reboots, the system seems stable - but I'm sure that must be a temporary situation. What should I do to repair this problem?

Answer:Intel HD Graphics Driver Problem.

Hi, You can get around the restriction imposed by the oem graphics package by manually installing the Intel Graphics driver as follows. First, download the latest Intel HD4600 driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the first option ( ie win64_154025.4463.zip ).  Note:  If you wish to install a different driver version from Intel, the method is still the same. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?... When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154025.4463.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel 4600 device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154025.4463 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on t... I downloaded the driver, and tried to update it by unzipping the file, and going to device manager, selecting the device, selecting update driver, and specifying the location. it worked pretty well, but right at the end of the proccess, where the bar was almos full, it stopped. the wizard told me that there had been an error while installing my hardware; "the specified file could not be found." however, I didn't see a file specified anywhere! also, after this, my video card, (or cards, I'm not sure; device manager shows two had the little yellow circle with and exclamation mark near it. I tried this several times, completely unninstalling the drivers from the add/remove program lists. I've even tried it with an older driver, but I get the same message. Hi
I'm having a problem with the driver for Intel(R) Management Interface.

My machine is HP Pavilion p6320uk, Core i5 650, Win 7 64 bit, 6GB.

Error message:

Driver problem was detected on Device "Intel(R) Management Interface"

I have 2 options update driver or revert to previous driver. Try update. Fails. Try revert to previous. Nothing happens. Error message still present after reboot.

Check HP support pages. BIOS is not most up to date. Update BIOS. Successful but now an extra error message saying that an unknown device has a problem with it's driver!

Support page also has link to original driver for Intel(R) Management Interface. Download. Install. Fails generating error message:

1261: Ole exception on line 888 of W:\Patches
com exception SWbemLocator Not found.

I'm afraid this is meaningless to me.

Can anyone explain in simple terms what Intel(R) Management Interface is, what it does and should I worry that there is a driver problem?

Any help, suggestions gratefully received. TIA.

Big Al

Hey, i recently reformatted and am having a lot of trouble finding an audio driver that works. My audio adapter is an Intel 82801IB ICH9, and the codec is RealTek ALC888.

You didn't tell us which version of Windows you're using, or the make and model of the motherboard. With limited info comes a limited answer.... here are links to your audio drivers:
RealTek Hi-Def Audio Driver for Windows XP
RealTek Hi-Def Audio Driver for Vista
Install your chipset drivers before installing the audio drivers....

If this doesn't restore the audio, please attach an Everest report to a future post:

Use Everest to get a report of your system?s hardware, OS, and drivers. Upload the report as an attachment

I didn't want to start a new topic for the same problem so here goes...

The problem I am having is similar to the OP, but the solution above only partially worked...the intel chipset download said it wasn't compatible and wouldn't allow me to run the exe file but I am currently downloading the REALTEK. I have applied the XP HD Audio patch as directed. here is the everest report as well...thanks in advance.

Answer:y580 intel+display driver problem

you can download the drivers from intel and nvidia websites.  please see post by other cx Installing Switchable Graphics - Intel HD & nvidia 660m in Y580I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 on my Y580 after problems with the 64 GB SSD and I can't seem to find a way to install drivers for my nvidia660m. I downloaded the latest drivers from the Lenovo site and tried using the nvidia site as well, but I can't seem to get anything to recognize that my system has the 660m. The Intel HD 4000 shows up as a display adapter next to "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." I can't install any drivers to Standard VGA Graphics Adapter and have tried installing drivers after uninstalling "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" but I still get the "no compatible device" message from the nvidia drivers. Other mostly irrelevant devices showing up in my device manager as "Other Devices":  bcm20702a0Ethernet ControllerSM Bus Controller(from other user)

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Introduction:

I am using a Laptop (Lenovo G400s) with Intel HD Graphics 4000. As we all know, laptops are limited to the drivers provided by the manufacturer. In my case, the provided drivers from this link → Laptops and netbooks :: Lenovo G Series laptops :: Lenovo G400s Notebook - Lenovo Support (US)

Desktop users can just use the generic/general drivers provided by the brands (nVidia, AMD, Intel, etc..) and that's the reason why I can't use the provided driver of Intel for Windows 10 from this link → Intel Download Center

If you're not familiar with the difference of the nature of drivers with desktop's versus that of laptop's, here's an explanation.

For example, with desktop graphic cards (let's say nVidia), you can just go straight to their website and download the driver and then install it then have a good FPS with the games you are running. On the other hand, if you are using a laptop, you cannot do the same thing. In order to have the right FPS with the games you are running, the driver that you need to download and install is the one provided by your laptop brand manufacturer, for example in my case, Lenovo.
Problem:

I am receiving this error in the Action Center (screenshot of error below)

This error appears after the "Turn off display" function/feature from the Power Options activates and then I move my mouse/pointer to make the screen active again (screenshot of feature below)

Hai,
Kinldy help me to solve the 82845 driver installation problem. my PC was working excellently with windows 7. Thanking you.

Answer:intel 82845 video driver problem

Whats the problem, it doesn't install? Just install normally by double clicking the .exe, otherwise run in compatibility mode.

Compatibility Mode - Windows 7 Forums

if neither helps, use 7zip or whatever unzipper you use to extract the contents of the exe to a folder on the hard disk. Now, open device manager, locate the display driver entry (or scan for hardware changes), right click it, choose update driver and browse to the folder where you extracted.

If none of this works, you'll just need to locate another driver that works.

I've purchased a new computer, namely an i3 540 on a Gigabyte H55M-S2H, without a dedicated graphics card. When I install Intel's drivers and restart (no matter which driver, I've tried them all, from both GB and Intel) Instead of my desktop I will get a black screen after the windows (7 64bit pro) logo at startup.

Thanks for any help!

Answer:Y510p intel hd graphics driver problem

SLI and Optimus can't coexist since they're not compatible. If you want Nvidia Optimus, first disable SLI on the Nvidia Control panel then uninstall Nvidia drivers. Then physically remove the Ultrabay GPU. After that, install Intel HD drivers first. Finally install Nvidia drivers. You should have Optimus working completely at that point.

Hi

Did Windows come pre-installed or did you have to install it? did you instsll the Chipset driver for this model motherboard first, then reboot and install the gfx driver (use the GB one) if not try this again.
You have been installing drivers that are 64bit versions?

Do any devices in Device Manager have yellow ! marks, if so next to what?

Can you boot into Safe Mode ok?

Have you been installing any software, or has this just happened before and 3rd party software, like antivirus was installed?

When I set "Switchable graphics" in Display in BIOS, then I can install ATi driver, but i can't install Intel HD driver as it tells that thing about minimum requirements. I have latest drivers from chipset, AHCI SATA etc. Any help would be appretiated. I have recently experienced some problems winth my P50 win 10 computer, where I can't play full Screen video in webbrowsers Chrome (f.ex. Youtube) on an external extended screen (the screen just goes black, but I can hear the sound, and when I press Esc. it seems for a fraction of a second theat it actually is in full screen, before it minimizes), and If I try to play the wideo in full screen on the laptops display, the external diaplsy "crashes" and the desktop is only shown on the laptops display, while an error is shown in the corner of the screen (translated from Danish) "unable to start screendriver" As the computer is almost 1 year old, and I hadn't updated any of the drivers, I thought it would be a good idea to try that first, to solve the problem.  I had no problems installing the newest Nvidia drivers found on the p50 download page, but the Intel Graphic card drivers (also found on the P50 download page) wouldn't install, and when I tried to manually install them, The Inf file showed that the drivers would work with 510,520,535 etc., but NOT 530.  The drivers now seems to have been removed from the download page, so there are now no Intel HD530 drivers at all for P50. The Nvidia drivers date and driver version is 10 jan 2017 21.21.13.7662,The Intel driver date version is 07 jan 2016 20.19.15.4483 I don't even know if the drivers are the problem, but I find it quite strange that there are no update for the intel card, and ... I have got an X240 with Intel PRO/Wireless N7260. Today when I use System Update to update the software/driver, it asked for a file "Driver.msi" and I do not have it. I have no other option except pressing the "Cancel" button, it failed with Error 000006B2. Then I tried download the .exe update file from the support site, it failed similarly. Basically, it says that it cannot remove the old version PRO/Wireless driver. Probably because I have recently cleaned the system drive with the Windows OS clean drive utility? Checked from the device manager, currently I am having the V17.16.1.2 (2015-04-12) version installed. The version System Update tried for me is V18.12.0.  Any way to work around this? Thanks.

Answer:X240 update Intel PRO/Wireless driver problem

Found a workaround eventually:- make sure you are online- goto "Device Manager"- expand "Network Adaptor"- select "Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260"- right-click and choose "Update Driver Software ..." Windows will the do the update for you without the need for the "missing driver.msi". Have fun! W.K. Lo

To play games on my pc, I have to turn up the brightness in my video card settings so I can see what the hell I am doing. So I updated my driver the other day, fix the color like I usually do, but when I start any full screen game, the color scheme reverts back to the default which as I said is way to dark.

Is there any way to fix this without having to revert back to outdated drivers?

If the specs move with the models and their textures, it just looks like anomalies that the graphics card for whatever reason can't display right. If this doesn't do it on new games, I wouldn't be worried.

And it's always a good idea to keep a clean PC

No matter which output I use, the two connected screens stay blank. It must be the Intel driver because the screens can be used in the UEFI and with a standard VGA compatibility driver.Having a workable update would be very welcome!

Hello Everyone,  I recently installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on my Lenovo v570. I downloaded the drivers from the support page and I have a strange problem with the onboard graphics driver "Intel Onboard Graphics Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit) - Lenovo B470, B570, V370, V470, V570" in the drivers section. Installation seems fine, but after restart, the system fails to boot and goes into boot recovery mode, where I get a message saying that booting failed due to a bad driver and the only actual option I have to boot up is to go back to a previous restore point. I tried installing the Nvidia driver for Windows 7, but it says that I need to install an Intel driver first, which is the one that gives me the blue screen when booting. I have also tried installing both drivers without a restart between both installations, but that didn't help. I am wondering if anyone in the community has seen something similar. Any advice, information or assistance will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for your time. Best regards,Moe.

If you haven't cleaned your PC for a while, it could have dust build-up causing it to overheat, hence the white dot artefacts. It could also just be poor models in the game. Its hard to say at this point.

Download Speccy here Speccy - System Information - Free Download and see what temperature your graphics card is running at, and report back here with that.

Do you have the latest version of the Intel 100 Series Chipset Driver to go along with the updated ME and USB3 drivers?
If not, install the chipset first, reboot and test the rodents. Assuming they still work correctly, update the other 2 drivers, one at a time, rebooting in between each install, and testing the mouse wheel. If nothing else, you might figure out which driver is the offender.
Make sure you still have a suitable System Restore point before updating anything.

This is NOT official HP Customer Support and I, as most other persons on this forum, do not work for HP. This is a peer-to-peer user supported forum for HP products. HP maintains no official presence on this forum and it is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Any reply from a HP employee represents their own opinion and not that of HP's. It appears you have the latest production release of the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 10. The only other driver listed on Intel's support website is 14.40.26.4474 which is a BETA version. This BETA driver doesn't appear to address the issue you are having. HP hasn't made it difficult to update the driver. The Intel driver installer is what is telling you it can't install the driver. This is because there is a customized version of the driver on the computer and replacing it with a generic driver may cause issues or loss of functionality of the hardware. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please click the White KUDOS "Thumbs Up" to show your appreciation

Hello,
AT work I have just received a laptop from a collegue that is not longer in the company and this is laptop VAIO VGN NS11E, where the speakers and microphone does not work. I have by many ways to make it work without success, the problem that I see is that apparently I receive a message that the not ouput audio device is installed, but at the hardware manager I see that everything is working good. I attach a report from EVEREST.
Thanks in advance for your help.

:wave Welcome to Major Geeks! :major

The laptop uses the RealTek High Definition Audio driver and has an Intel GL40 mobile chipset. Install the chipset software first, you can download it from this link. Restart the PC, then install the audio driver, you can download it from this link. That should do it! Good luck!
:-D

(You should uninstall any sound drivers that are currently installed BEFORE installing the chipset and/or new sound driver)

started having problems saying display driver igfx has stopped responding and has recovered. the screen has a bunch of black dots on it and will go flicker off and on and keeps saying the display driver igfx.. error. this only happens in normal mode and when the driver is installed, it works fine in safe mode and when the driver is not installed. i have tried various drivers from dell's and Intel's websites, nothing has worked so far. i did reinstall vista hoping that would help fix the problem but it didn't.

the computer is a laptop with vista home premium 32bit, 1gig ram, intel core 2 duo, and mobile intel 965 express chipset.

I am getting this error when trying to install PROWinx64: No intel adapters are present in this computer

I have just formated and reinstalled my computer, I am having a hard time figuring out what drivers to install. But as long as I can acess the internet from that computer I can figure out the rest. I just need help figuring out how to get my LAN network to work.

Thank you in advance

Answer:Network driver problem No intel adapters are present in this computer.

Is the computer that you are working on the computer that is described in your System Spec area of this forum? If so, then you are telling us that you have a gigabyte ga-z77mx-d3h motherboard. That motherboard seems to use a network interface card from Atheros. You should download stuff from here: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77MX-D3H (rev. 1.0)

I am trying to create a MDT2013 build image for Windows 10 x64 for the HP Elite x2 1012 G1. Almost all drivers install OK but I have an outstanding issue with the Intel High Definition DSP and "Unknown Device". These are related to Audio and Intel Bluetooth. Manually installing SP74946 works OK for the audio but if I place the softpaq with CVA in the SSM updates folder it doe snot install automatically. For the bluetooth I cannot find a Windows 10 driver only a WIndows 8.1 (SP74472) manually running this does nothing, putting SSM does nothing. Extracting and running the setup.exe install the driver but leaves wioth yellow exclamation. For SP74946 in SSM the output shows a "Possible Update" but does not install in in "Updates Performed" Possible Updates Update 1: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D70 Conexant HD Audio Driver 2015 - Version: 10.0.877.61 Q (SP74946.CVA)SP74472 is not even listed? I have also managed to extract and create an application for the audio which kinda resolves the issue but creating an application package and using "SIlentInstall.bat" but would rather this worked in SSM

Hi,
I have problem with my Intel HD graphics 5500 driver.
Some days ago my display started to show distorted objects when I scrolled down, so I updated my driver to the latest Intel's one. The updated drive caused problem with starting my Windows 7 64 bit. The Windows did not start at all.
So I uninstalled the Intel's driver and install this one from your site, which is recommended for my device. My Intel HD graphics 5500 driver does not recognize your driver at all.
How can I resolve this issues?

Hello I just received my new Windows 10 P70 in the mail and am running into a wired ethernet connection problem. I followed the steps here to update the drivers for the system's Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V, but it doesn't seem to help:https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/nz1rw01w.txt Next I tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew, and the attached Windows10-P70-ipconfigOutput.txt file shows the output (ipconfig /all at the top). The final failing message is:An error occurred while renewing interface Ethernet : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out. Next I tried these:netsh int ip resetnetsh winsock reset catalog...and upon reboot, same problem, no help, see Windows10-P70-netshOutput.txt with the access denied failure. Found something that recommended a registry key permission change to Full Control, which makes the int ip reset command not report a failure, but upon reboot it still leaves me with nothing. I've got a setup with no wireless router, I'm using a switch. I have two other computers, one Windows 8.1 one Windows 10, that both simultaneously connect to the modem through the switch fine. Windows10-Asus-WorkingConnection-ipconfigOutput.txt attached shows the Windows 10 Asus system with a Realtek ethernet controller connecting fine. Any thoughts on what I can do to get Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V to connect properly in my new P70? I can't be the only one. Having a hard time finding a clear solution that WORKS fr... Read more

X220, Windows 7 x64. After video driver update from version 8.15.10.2769 to 9.17.10.2843 I noticed the text is blurry because some kind of antialiasing has been applied. I use Windows Classic theme and have ClearType turned off. The kind of anti-aliasing was different than the one used in Windows. I had to revert back to driver version 8.15.10.2769 to get rid of that. I haven't found any setting in Intel video advanced settings to disable it. Note that I'm talking about anti-aliasing in 2D mode, not 3D games. It seems as some kind of subpixel antialising has been applied by the driver  Attached screenshot not a very good quality but the difference is noticeable:http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/20661iED4444BA658573DD/

I have a Gateway MD78 series laptop with Vista x64 Home Premium SP2 and Display Adapter: Intel(4) Series Express Chipset. The driver is version 9.0.0.1009_Vistax86x86.

It all started with a horizontally stretched display and a yellow flag on the display adapter device table. After many hours of fooling around I was able to download a new driver from Gateway that solved the problem but found that whenever I rebooted the notebook, Vista tried to re-install the driver that failed. Originally I worked around by de-selecting the auto updates.

Now, I am unable to re-install the driver or fix the problem. The error message shows "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39). Sometimes when I try and re-install the driver it gives me a message that I already have the latest version, even though I had previously uninstalled it. Worse, it now shows a yellow flag for other devices including: Video Controller, Ethernet Controller and Mass Storage Controller.

I have run Spybot and eliminated several problems (8).

Any help or tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome
Stop wasting time with the Windows Update, that is Never the way to update drivers. Although it is th easiest.
Update does not give you the best driver, but rather a generic, one size fits all

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

Im having a problem with my Dell Laptop and its graphic drivers. Yesterday, I started my laptop and it gave me an error message saying Windows has recovered from a serious error.

My screen resolution is now 1024*768 instead of 1280*720(I think that's the one) and i cant increase it. In the device manager my laptop's Mobile Intel(R) 910GML Express Chipset family Chipset Components has a yellow symbol beside it and when i right click on it and go to properties i get "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware". (Code 37)

I've tried to reinstall the drivers by downloading them from intel.com many times but nothing seems to be helping. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I had the unfortunate experience that my new L540 with factory installed Windows 7 64 bit professional dropped wireless connections after several minutes. This could only be correct be restarting the wireless driver. It took me about 5 hours to discover that the driver contains a known bug. I was almost at the point of returning the laptop as being defect until I found through google: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS036007 hidden on this page is the text  that the driver version there fixes the dropping of connection. None of the update software on the laptop suggested updating this driver and the above page is not so easy to find, or recognize that this is needed at first glance. After applying the above update the WLAN now works without problems. Googling reveals that I do not seem to be the only person with this problem, and the ones I found did not manage to find the solution to their problems. Rene.

I had this same issue right out of the box.  After fighting the dropping wifi connection for 5 days I rent to Intel's site and downloaded the driver inspection tool from http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/wireless and let it do its magic.  It downloaded and installed the new driver.  Going on day 2 with the new driver with no problems at all.

As we know... After upgrading to Win 8.1 on G580, no HD audio/graphics driver for Intel HD 4000 is available in the driver matrix and device (w/Dolby V2) fails to operate. I am not watching any HD movies on my G580, but the missing HD driver also kills any graphics driver function, which does affect my work. Windows defaults to MS Default Video Graphics device, as listed in driver detail in Device Manager- where the Intel HD 4000 has a bang. The Dolby V2 launches a Find Hardware wizard at every reboot, I finally installed it. On 10/17/2013 Intel released the driver package for Intel HD 4000 for Win 8.1. On 11/14/2013 I found this installer digging around at Intel. However, it fails. (NoNo! Contact OEM message) Fortunately there is an SDK version for Lenovo to work with on the same page. So, Lenovo, are you aware of the new device driver at Intel? I need my Intel HD 4000 graphics adapter to work.

I have IdeaPad Z480 with Windows 7 installed. I had installed all latest drivers from lenovo site. Then I updated Intel Graphics HD driver to latest version: v15.28.12.64.2932 (9.17.10.2932) from Intel site and then I got problems: the brightness always revert to last brightness level (before updating Intel Graphics driver) when booting. Also, the brightness slider in Control Panel -> Power Options doesn't work anymore. Reinstall Energy Management driver doesn't solve the problem. I suspect there is incompatibility issue in Lenovo Energy Management driver with the new Intel Graphics HD driver.

On Intel official page there is newer version than 6.14.10.4543 for display driver! I download it but it fails to be installed saying it is not allowed for Toshiba computers! Why?

Answer:Cannot install Mobile Intel 945 GM driver from Intel page on Tecra A series

The message says everything -> the driver is not allowed for Toshiba notebooks.
The Toshiba graphic drivers are a little bit modified and not the same like the original graphic driver from graphic chip manufacture.

Try the one from Toshiba page!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has been having the same issue.

Windows 7 x64 series 8 motherboard. ASUS z87-expert.

My USB3 and USB2 are not working right after I install the Intel USB3 xhci Driver for Intel? 8/9 Series
version 3.0.1.41.

I have used the setup.exe to install the driver and the mouse/keyboard stopped working after the drivers are updated and I am not able to click the "Finish" button on the GUI to complete the installation.

Luckily that I was able to remote login to the PC to click the "Finish" button. After restart, the USB ports starts to work again.

Answer:USB port not working Intel USB3 xhci Driver for Intel« 8/9 Series

Welcome to SevenForums,

It is a little normal that during the process of updating the drivers, it does disconnect the devices plugged onto ports, to swap drivers and write the files in order the new drivers to work. It does remap the devices.

It is always better to uninstall previous USB 3.0 drivers and use a usb 2.0 port to control temporarily another mouse to finish the process and the reboot required. Could be Intel xHci or AsMedia XHci ones...same same.
