Preferred Solution: How do I remove XDM xtreme download manager, from windows 7 ?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So I've been monitoring this software for over 2 years and was impressed at it's pace of development. I've been sticking myself to either EagleGet or IDM over this time period as they were better. But right now the time is right for the big switch as XDM has now implemented multiple queue's in it's latest update.

XDM by Subhra Das Gupta, is a free open-source download manager that works on Windows & Linux (Mac version is coming) . If you were a user of either EagleGet or IDM you would feel right at home, because XDM has the following features that made the other two popular

1. Media grabber: download from almost any website in various formats
2. Multiple Queue's: Scheduled/Unscheduled multiple download queue's
3. Refresh link: to continue downloading from expired download links
4. Multi-Browser integration: with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi as well Chromium & Firefox clones
5. Download categories: organize your downloads according to filetype
6. Download acceleration: using multiple threads/segments (upto 32)
7. Batch download: download a range of files from a webpage
8. Speed limiter: set download speed limit for files and adjust traffic usage
9: Sites manager: auto-authentication for websites
10: Proxy support: to work behind http & ftp proxy servers
11. Import/Export downloads: manage your downloads

and much more....

It's short name is XDM . Looks like IDM copy, and its FREEWARE. One of the most interesting feature is that it can be installed in Linux/Mac as well as Windows. So, in LInux, who still misses IDM, and who don't want to pay for IDM in Windows, perfectly suits them.

I am going to test it on Windows as well as on linux, both on Virtual Machines, lets see how this one works.

Hi All,

Since its first experimental release for Windows in Jan 14, XDM has gone through a lot of changes/improvements.
The main goal of XDM was to combine the features of commercial download managers into a free open source application.
Current stable version is 4.7 build 127.

Please share your opinions and feedback to improve XDM further.

Features:

Download acceleration: increases download speed up-to 5-6 times using intelligent dynamic segmentation, connection reuse and compression.
Integration with ANY browser of ANY version: Advanced browser integration feature enables XDM to take over downloads from ANY browser or application.
Save streaming video from YouTube, Metacafe, Vimeo, Dailymotion and many other video sharing websites. XDM supports DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) for New YouTube and Dailymotion videos.
Resume downloads even if the download link is expired.
XDM supports every type of proxy including Windows ISA, with NTLM, Negitiate, Kerberos, Basic authentication, automatic proxy configuration scripts etc.
Batch download, clipboard monitoring, scheduler, download queue, auto shutdown, virus scan a lot of other features.
XDM is free, open source and available for Windows and Linux.

Got half way through install of Secure Download Manager. There is no entry in Programs and Features to run the uninstall. But if I try to install I get the dialog that the install is already in progress. So I cannot take it off and I cannot put it on. On this Laptop I'd rather not do a Restore Point except as last resort. They are unreliable on this machine.

Anyone worked around this catch 22?

A free download manager designed to integrate seamlessly with Windows 7 is now available from Microsoft. Dubbed the Microsoft Download Manager, the utility is designed, as the label implies, to help users administer their downloads beyond the boundaries of the browser. More often than not, downloading very large files can be problematic, especially in the context of an unreliable connection. It is precisely in scenarios like these that a download manager will carry out any download tasks to the end, unlike browsers missing this functionality.

?The Microsoft Download Manager enables you to download files from the Internet in a more reliable and faster way than using a browser alone. Using the Download Manager makes it easier to download large files such as an application or multimedia files,? Microsoft explained.

According to the Redmond company, the Microsoft Download Manager comes to the table with support not only for Windows 7, but also for Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 and SP3. Microsoft Download Manager was designed to work with Internet Explorer 8, IE7 and IE6 but also with Firefox 3 and Firefox 2.

Dear all,
I would like to ask if download manager is integrated in Windows XP? If it is, does it show, apart from the amount (in bytes) of downloaded material, the speed with which it is downloaded from the internet?
How can one see the speed with which one document is downloaded from the web in Windows XP?
I would be grateful if you could help me,
thanks,
Maria

Answer:Windows XP download manager

There isn't a built in download manager but downloads through a web browser should show the transfer rate.

I have an Ideapad Z710 which I updated to Windows 10 last summer..  The Conservation Mode of the Energy Manager initially worked, but now won't maintain battery charge at about 50%.  The battery fully charges.  This is a new problem which I suspect is related to a recent update.  I cannot pin down the point at which it quit working. After searching the internet and Lenovo forums, I found reference to an update for the driver (program) for Windows 10 located here:  http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z710-... The file is ACPIDRIVER.EXE  After downloading I ran it.  While I get the screen that askes if you want the program to make changes to your computer, I did not get the install manager after clicking OK.  It just failed.  I cannot find any error report in the Windows Admin Reports, but I am not an expert on how to look for program crash reports. My internet search of ACPIDRIVER.EXE suggests that it is part of the Windows operating system and may not be the Lenovo Energy Manager. I am writing to ask:  Is ACPIDRIVER.EXE the Windows 10 update to the Energy Manager?  If so, it won't run.  If not, please correct the download to the correct driver. I have tried everything I can think of and cannot get the Conservation Mode to work.  Help please. Thanks, Rick

Answer:Energy Manager Windows 10 Download won't install

do you find a solution? I looked that apcdriver is only 1 mb weight, while the driver of energy manager for win 8.1 weight 55mb.  did you receive support for this problem?

Answer:Install MS Download Manager on Windows To Go USB drive - er, no!

Hi there
you CAN install windows to go on an external USB drive and all downloads etc work normally.

I use an old 2.5 inch laptop hdd. create say 2 partitions -- one for the OS and another one for the data.

Works fine 100%.

Note that there are a few get arounds for the USB problem but I'm quite happy to have my Windows to go on a small ext usb drive.

Hi all,

following trouble:

i have a an Acer Aspire 5735z which had Win Xp SP2 installed on it. the Wi-fi wasnt working on it .

this model was downgraded from Vista to XP so i thought perhaps there are driver problems. After installing other drivers which didnt work i thought of installing windows 7 and see if it worked. Unfortunately the issue was with this Wifi that once you input your password incorrect it connects to the wifi network but as *limited or no connectivity*

once i've understood that i've tried the same thing in XP and it worked great. Now i wanted to remove Win 7 and i had followed this guide from MS

How to uninstall Windows 7

Forgot to say that XP was on C and Win 7 on D

I formatted the partition on D, Win 7 is gone now , but the boot Manager is still present. I've opened up the boot section on XP through ms config and i dont see any bootpaths for the bootloader. i've run the fixmbr from the recovery console hoping it would kick the boot manager out but this did not help.

Could you please assist me in removing the Dual Boot manager so i can start my xp version without choosing it?

thank you

Have you tried editing the boot.ini file from advanced system settings ?
Right click My Computer>Properties>Advanced System Settings >Boot.ini (I've forgotten the exact file name ) but it allows the boot config to open in an editable text file which you can select>Click Save when done

Hope this helps

Following Ubuntu Ugh! instructions precisely it installed version 16.04.1 on a flash drive (kind of) but butchered my MBR and apparently dropped GRUB2 there.
I get several suggestions to fix this:
1) fdisk /mbr
2) fixdsk /mbr
Do these require using an install disk as I only have an image backup. I can boot into windows 10 OK via grub2. Can I use either 1) or 2) from Windows 10 in Command (admin) window directly? I don't want the bother of using grub to boot, which.was the purpose of creating a flash drive to boot from.

I would like the OneDrive icon to be hidden/removed from File Explorer on my 64 bit Windows 10 Home device. I find the same steps all over the that don't seem to work for me involving setting two flags in the registry as follows:

Set the System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree DWORD value to 0 for both of the following:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}

I've set them both on and off, restarting inbetween, several times but it doesn't seem to affect OneDrive in the File Manager. The other option presented is ripping OneDrive out completely but that doesn't seem to work for me as well. Those instructions involve killing the OneDrive process and then removing it using the following commands:

64-bit edition of Windows 10: %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
32-bit edition of Windows 10: %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall

I've though I'm running 64-bit Windows 10 I don't even have OneDriveSetup.exe in my System32 folder. I do have it in my SysWoW64 folder but when I run it with the /uninstall switch nothing seems to happen and the OneDrive icon remains in File Explorer.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

i'm curious if anybody is still using their x-fi xtremegamer soundcard on windows 8.1 OS.

I really wanted to dump it and use my onboard realtek ALC892. But, the audio to my surprise was inferior. Odd that a card I acquired in 2008 still beats out a modern onboard sound solution even beyond the ALC892 iteration.

thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Answer:Anybody still using x-fi xtreme gamer on windows 8.1 ????

I find my RealTek sounds as good as the old SB Xfi sound card I had in my old PC.

I'm not a stickler for PC audio, but I have a recording studio and picky about the studio sound.

Hey guys, sorry if this was asked before but i did do a search on it and found nothing. Have any of you tried this version of windows? It's called Windows7 xtreme R1 and it's suppose to be just a mod of windows 7 but with lots of cool tweaks. well i got my hands on an installation disc and I was wondering if I should give it a try but I don't want to go through all the hassle just to end up uninstalling it.

Any input???

Answer:Windows 7 xtreme R1, ever heard of it???

It's most likely an modded copy of Windows w/ hacks & tweaks that remove activation and certain features. It's not worth using, you can't ever trust modified system images unless you know exactly where they came from. Even then you should still use your own product key and not rely on activation work arounds.

Bottom Line: Don't use it.
Use a stock version of Windows 7 that you buy from the store and disable whatever features you don't wish to use.

It really isn't that hard to "tweak" windows to run faster. There are quite a few things you can do including but not limited to:

Running frequent cleaning products & defagmenters
Disabling Windows Features you don't use (Media Player, etc)
Disabling Visual Effects
Disabling Services you don't use.

Keep in mind some of that requires that you're an advanced user so that your don't fubar your system.

I've been using Spybot and KIS [Kaspersky Internet Security] for 4 years now, so I don't think there is a problem of virus or malware. Please help!

Guys, I've updated KIS to 2010 and I think it is the problem as I exited the application and then started the download on IDMan. It started to work. But why KIS is doing this. Is there any settings problem with the firewall?? The problem still continues with KIS turned on.!!!!

I've been using IDM (6.25 build 3 most recently) happily for quite some time. For Christmas I purchased an online class which streams (?) from a .com website. I paid $128 for the class which remains online. Although I can view it anytime, I'd like to have it on my hard drive so I can put it on my laptop and watch it in bed instead of sitting at my desktop computer. Also I've purchased classes in the past and the website went out of business and *poof* my purchased classes went with them!!

When I use IDM to download the .flv file and play it back using Windows media player, I only get audio...no video.

Can anyone suggest:
-- what's going wrong?
-- a solution
-- another program I can use?

Thanks for the assist!
LuniLadi

Answer:Internet Download Manager Plays Only Audio For .flv Download

IDM is currently at 6.25 build 12. IDM only downloads files it doesn't play them. That's the job of your media player. An alternate media player you might try is VLC available at Major Geeks.

Every now and then I get an error, "The device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it", after trying to safetly remove my USB device.

No matter what I do I can not get it to say Device is ok to be Safetly Remove (or what ever it is)... - I mean I close everything that I can think of; I have tried to close a few program under the "Processes" tab of the windows task manager however some of these unsure if I she End Process so when unsure I do not. Is there anyway of knowing what these programs are?

Back to the USB device isue - will shutting off computer be good enough to unplug the USB drive? As there is always a little power in the computer on shut down.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks,
David

Answer:Questions on: safely remove hardware and Windows task manager

Look in the bottom toolbar for a tiny icon that has a green arrow pointing down to the left, and a grey image of a USB flash drive just below it.
Right click on that tiny arrow-grey box set. You will get the box "Safely Remove Hardware"
Click on that choice, and wait until you get the message on your screen that it is safe to remove the USB flash device.

Did you delete all partitions during the booted Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7?

If not I'd start over and this time wipe the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command, reset the BIOS to defaults, set SATA controller to AHCI.

If you'll stick with the steps, tools and methods in the tutorial above you will get and keep a perfect install for as long as you do.

Hi,
I have a problem. I guess I read every possible thread and article about Creative soundcards on Windows 7, but it still did not solve my problem.
For start, here is my PC specification:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2,4 GHz)
MB: Gigabyte X38-DS5
Graphics: Gainward GeeForce GTX 560Ti (Golden Sample)
RAM: 4 GB
Soundcard: Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio

The thing is, yesterday, I became a Windows 7 (Professional, SP1, 64 bit, 7601) user, after my happy years with XP Home Edition. Under XP, my sound was clean and perfect. When I switched to Windows 7, I installed 32 bit version the first time, the sound was not ok (even after installing every possible driver for my soundcard, motherboard etc., that supports Win 7). I thought maybe it's because the 32 bit version, so I switched back to XP (just to make sure that my soundcard was ok; it was, the sound was perfect) and after that, installed the 64 bit version. But the problem is still here. The sound is very "unstable", with hum and some kind of disturbances and it sounds like "slowed down", streched (like the computer wasn't strong enough for it?).

Everything seems to be fine in my options (Creative Audio Console, Windows Control Panel).

I downloaded whole bunch of drivers, of course even those from Daniel K., but still, my problem persists. I am really desperate about this, so I thought, that I will share with my problem and I found this forum. Every idea would be very helpful, thank you.... Read more

My pc was infected with Vundo, i tried to use VundoFix and it did not do the job for me. Due to that I used unlocked and forced vundo file to be deleted. Right at the instant, the pc froze. I thought it was normal because I forced it to unlock Winlogon. I restarted the pc, the window won't login, it played the startup music, but it just wont load the desktop. Then I pop in the window xp cd and tried to use repair. Nothing changed. So then, I reinstalled the window instead, a fresh install without formatting. For the first few minutes, the window worked just fine, but after a little while, window stopped functioning correctly. I tried to property my computer, it did not pop out nor any error notification. Then I reinstalled the window again. I thought it could be caused by the drivers or programs I installed so I tested opening one of those system application after every installation. Then I noticed that it could be caused by Nvidia driver, and I'm using Chaintech Geforce 7100gs. I thought it might help if I just uninstall the driver I just installed. But I cannot open add or remove neither does device manager can be opened. (None of the application in control panel can be opened either.) I even removed the card and the problem still wasnt solved. So I'm stuck, I have no idea what is causing the problem, and I've reinstalled window over and over again, its tiring me out.

Have you tried to go in to Device Manager and see if the eithernet card has been disabled some where along the line? If your unsure of how to get into the device manager here is how to click on the win7 orb on the taskbar and go to "Computer" and right click and go to manage and then you will see device manager on the left had side amoung a bunch of other option and you should see one lable "Network Adapters" if you see yours there right click and you should see either "Disable" or "Enable" if disabled click enable and you should be good to go and if its not showing up heres what you can do. go and download the drivers for it from the maker of your computer and if built by you then the website of whom ever makes your mother board.
Hope this helps you out.

And now if i click on the wireless icon in the system tray, I get the message that windows cant configure the internet commection, some other program is in control, ...what other program, This has never happened before, and I used to be able to use the wireless manager. I scanned the file with AVG and spyware terminator, and they both said it was clean. I opened it up with notepad, but apart from that is has never been run.

Hi Guys,
I recently downloaded bbc iplayer, when I click on it, it - rightly says I have no programmes to watch.

I click through the "download programmes" button which brings me to the iplayer home page - so far so good.

I select (for example) TV, John Bishops Britain, then select download options, for iplayer desktop-"click" and ....drumroll, nothing, nyada, zilch!!

I de installed and reinstalled thinking perhaps there was a corrupt file somewhere, this made no difference.

I then selected download for windows media player and got this message;

Software upgrade required
To download BBC iPlayer programmes please upgrade your version of Windows Media Player. Click here to get the latest version from Microsoft.

So far as I can see for my OS (XP pro) wmp11 IS the latest version available and the one I'm using.

It's really quite frustrating, I have had no luck on the support site or, so far by trawling through the net looking for answers. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation and best regards,
Brian.

Answer:BBC Iplayer download manager - wont download!!!

Instead of downloading it through the desktop program download them on line they should go strait to your Iplayer desktop
go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/
go to the required show
scroll under the video
click "download options"
then "for iplayer desktop"

For windows 7 32 bit version.
I found some instructions online to put the equalizer control back
for the X-FI xtreme audio pci card on windows 7.
The X-FI xtreme audio is actually base on an audigy chipset,so it is
possible to use the X-FI driver with the audigy software.
I have put the files together for download here.
http://www.filedropper.com/audigytox-fiextremeaudio1040079xpvista42
This is a temporary download and will be active as long as it is being
downloaded.
Get it while you can.
If someone has a more permanant file server they could put it on,
it would be appreciated.

Instructions:
Remove all creative software from programs and features
in control panel.

Soundblaster properties requires a restart.
After restart.right click "computer" and click properties.
Click on device manager.
Right click the soundblaster card under the sound, video and
game controllers listing and click uninstall.
Select the box "delete drivers for this device" and uninstall.
Restart the computer.

Once the computer is restarted, unzip the downloaded folder to
extract the files.
Find the setup program in the folder and run it.
During installation, you may get a warning about a newer version
of control panel already installed, setup will exit.
Just click OK and setup will move to the next step.

Once installation is complete, you will notice in start/all programs/

You can use that to access the equalizer in entertainmen... Read more

Hello, I'm using windows XP SP3 and creative console launcher v2.30.32. My sound card is Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.

I have a problem with this application (creative console launcher v2.30.32) because I have to restart settings on each start up, means creative console launcher seems can't save my settings. For example: I have set the speaker setting to headphones mode and disable CMSS3D, and then it runs well, but after I restart my computer, the setting back to default(2.2 1 speaker, CMSS3D enabled) instead of my settings.

Why this problem occurred? Do you have any solution to this problem so I don't need to always set again the speaker settings on each Windows start up?
Thank you. I hope there is a solution to this problem.

Just looking for recommendations on these two kinds off apps.
Download manager-I've used Flashget in the past. It's OK so I could go back to it. I'm just wondering if there are any others that are worth looking at and why.
Wallpaper manager-I've noticed that many of the wallpaper managers strictly work with photos from the hard drive. I'd be interested in something similar to Google Screensaver that pulls wallpaper from the web, even from news stories. It looks like there was a Google Wallpaper for a while but it closed. I used Eyetide several years ago but they became a spyware trojan so I guess that's the other thing. Spyware free, please. It's too bad. It used to be a good product. I noticed one called Cool Wallpaper but I dunno.

When I open the thumbdrive folder the RKill files are automatically deleted with an error message that says it is "not a valid Win32 program." I've tried burning it on to a CD and then opening it on the infected computer, but that won't work either. I've tried emailing the file to myself, and then downloading that on to my desktop. Hi all:

From the MS Store.
I bought a FULL VERSION Vista Home Premium DVD actual disc not the downloaded version.
With the right to a FULL VERSION Win 7 when it releases on Oct 22nd.

I am thinking of getting it by downloading it from MS.

My question is really Simple.

How do I burn the iso to disk after Downloading it with the Download Manager to make it Bootable as if I got the actual disk?

A friend of mine said he downloaded his his was Vista without the Download Manager and there were (3)- Separate files and couldn't figure out how to make it a bootable disk so he returned it for the actual media.

NOW if I download my Win 7 Full Version disk to my Drive using the download manager, WILL IT be a single iso file so that I can burn it as a bootable disk?

And if it is suppose to be 3- separate files then how do I go about combining them to make it bootable?

I'd hate to choose the download option and not be able to make use of it, Only to have to pay FULL Price for an actual copy.

When I could just get my Free Copy for the price of Shipping and of coarse tax.

Any advice or Links I'd be most Grateful......

Answer:How do I burn iso after download using download Manager

It should be a single ISO file.
-

How to burn an ISO image to disc..

Its simple really, download this, save it somewhere.

When its done downloading, go to the location you saved it, and extract the .zip file.

After that, open the folder it created and run 'IsoBurner'

Click on this;
Attachment 29934

Then locate the .iso file and select it.

Then burn it, you should also set the speed to the lowest possible to ensure their are no problems burning.

Sorry if its not that clear, I'm half awake about to go to sleep.

Your computer stats (all kind) are not very helpful. What OS are you using.? Is your download manager a 3rd party software prog or are you using the capability of resuming downloads on the MS site? Another point... Every time my computer crashes??? Does that happen a lot? if so, you may have a whole different kind of problem.

Question: Download Manager

I presently use Stardownloader with FlashGot as an addon in Firefox. I've been pretty happy with it but not particularly happy with the way it acts on some sites, particularly when I try to download financial data from a bank site.
I realize that some of these programs are loaded with spyware, so I guess I am just wondering if anybody has a favorite they like.
Preferably it'll be a free program.
Thanks
Floyd

I've bought the Student 32-bit version of Win7. I received a confirmation email with my order number and Key.
Successfully downloaded both the .exe file and the ISO file. I don't want to run the ISO file if I can possibly avoid it BUT the .exe file doesn't run. The Digital River download manager opens, and then says that I need to be connected to the Internet for it to run...when i AM connected! So I don't even get as far as putting the key code in.
Found the Customer service button, which asked for Oder no or email address + last 5 digits of credit card details - it regognises neither of these. I'm pretty sure I bought it directly from the Microsoft website, so perhaps the exe. file is corrupted? Still doesn't explain why it doesn't recognise my order
Any ideas?
I've also tried rebooting but makes no difference

You need to make a DVD from the .ISO
Use ImgBurn ImgBurn - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
Burn the DVD at a slow rate.

Question: download manager

I've just downloaded a file, and now I can't find it. I wasn't given the option where to put it, it said temporary file as the destination. I've done a search for what I think is the name, and come up with nothing. Can I get a list of recent downloads from the file manager, if so where do I find it. I did a search for that and couldn't find it. I'm using XP Home. Thanks in advance

This is a two-part question that breaks down into the categories of freeware and software you have to pay for. In specific, I'm looking for informed users of download managers.About 3 years ago, I tried asking the Wikipedia editors of the comparative table of download managers to update it (because it's woefully incomplete) and the short answer was "Do it yourself." The long answer was a bit better, but the excuse given for why most DMs weren't listed at all was because they only list DMs that have a page on Wikipedia. When I searched Wikipedia and posted a list of all the DMs on Wikipedia that were NOT in the table, that's when I got blown off. Not being an expert on the topic (although I've tried a few from the very LONG list that are available) of DMs and audio/video DMs, I wisely declined. So, here I am, looking to BC members to see if I can get a good idea of which DMs are top of the heap. Please keep in mind a few points:I dumped Download Accelerator Plus because of the adware and some other issues.I am dumping Free Download Manager because it doesn't allow me to pause my downloads.I had problems with Go!Zilla when I tried using it.I've used LeechGet and JDownloader, but formed no opinion yet.I'm also dumping FlashGet 3.7 because there is no way to completely disable P2P connections with it, and also because it's trying to get me to install the Simplified Chinese Language Pack when I haven't visited any sites that ... I am looking for a download manager that can download multiple application files from a website simultaneously and by itself. For example click this link.

http://www.aimutation.com/dload.php?action=viewall

There are about 100 or 200 .exe files that I want to download from that page and about 3 subpages deep. I have dial up for one, so I don't want to sit here for hours while I click each one and wait for it to download. I've tried a couple of download managers and all they will download is the image files and such. Please help, what manager can I use that will do this for me?

Answer:What download manager can do this?

Reget Deluxe

First select all the files you want to download. Then start the download process. You will want to use the schedule option after that i.e. start one download then estimiate how long it will take to download that file and schedule the next download to start after the estimated time and repete. It will continue downloading all the files at the scheduled times. It will resume a broken download (disconnects and etc). It's a great program but it's shareware.

I was using Real Downloader, (not great, but it worked for me) but I recently formatted my drive and lost it, now I can't find it online to download.

Don't need anything fancy. Something free or very cheap, NOT loaded with spyware, want to be able to pause the downloads and resume later. Something that can handle a bunch of downloads (or at least put them in queue) at a time if necessary.

Oh and if you are downloading multiple files with the same name, I'd like it to create a new name for the second file instead of having to type one in myself.

Thanks!
