Satellite L750 - How do I scroll with the touchpad?

Question: Satellite L750 - How do I scroll with the touchpad?

I have a Satellite L750 (my first Laptop and first touchpad) running Windows 7. I have set the mouse scroll to 1 line at a time but every time I place the pointer on the right scroll bar down arrow (and press the left button or tap) the screen jumps so that the scroll bar is at the bottom. I want the screen to 'inch' down slowly as it would if I was using a mouse wheel.

Yes, I know that the answer is probably very easy so please, those folks that are itching to reply remember I am a 'newbie' at touchpads.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Satellite L750 - How do I scroll with the touchpad?

Hey,

You can scroll with the touchpad on right side of it. Just move your finger up or down on the right side of touchpad and you can scroll with this gesture. It?s not complicated and very easy.
Furthermore such basic operations are described in user manual and I would recommend reading it. ;)

If you are not familiar with the touchpad you can also connect an external USB mouse (same mouse like on a desktop computer). Such external mouses are not expensive and you don?t need a driver for that. Just connect it to one USB port and it?s ready to use :)

Satellite L750/04K laptop intermittantly looses abiliy to scroll with touchpad but remains ok for movement around screen.
Scrolls ok if I use external mouse.

Can fix with a restart. Has been working ok for about 4 months previously. Any suggestions appreciated.

Answer:Satellite L750/04K - Touchpad intermit loss of scroll function

Hi

As I understood you message: the touchpad is working properly but only the scroll function does not work. Right?

In such case I would recommend checking the option in Control Panel -> Mouse
Here you will need to switch to last tab and go to Advanced Settings.
Usually, there you should find the settings for touchpad:

How do I disable my touch pad zoom function on my L750? I couldn't find anything about it in the user guide but it's driving me INSANE. There are like 5 zoom functions already and toshiba decided what I really need is another one right on the touch pad where it will constantly get in the way.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

Answer:Satellite L750 - how to DISABLE touchpad zoom

Hi

I assume you are speaking about the pinch zoom.
It a additional option from Synaptics. The touchpad settings should provide the option to disable the pinch zoom.
Go to control panel -> mouse
Here you have to check the tabs? in my case it?s last tab called Advanced. There I have to go to Advanced feature settings which contains more options.

Anybody have a solution ?

Answer:TouchPad does not scroll using Win 7 on Satellite A200 PSAE3E

Hi

> scrolling with newest drivers for Win7 from Toshiba and Synaptics doesnt works good.
Does this means that scrolling function is available after the installation of Win 7?

Hmm? for me it sounds like you would need to configure this touchpad function.
You can do this in control panel -> mouse -> device settings
There should be an additional tab containing all the touchpad options?

There you could change and increase the touch area which is needed for scrolling and similar? you could increase the sensitivity too?

Hi guys,

in 2007 i bought my Toshiba Satellite A110-156, shortly after i got vista home from Toshiba as an present for my new Laptop.
All good, only my touchpad didn't scroll.

After a new driver version 703014, it works.
Only vista keeps naggin by the start up. I have to accept the drivers three times before it works.
Every time by a start up!

After a while, i finally found the solution - sadly enough - this weekend i had to reinstall my laptop en forgot what the solution was.
I have the same driver, version 703014 from the toshiba site and saddly the same problem.

I can't find the solution on the dutch sites, so i hope you can help me!

I already tried to install the drivers by de hardware programs, this didn't help!

Answer:Satellite A110-156 - touchpad doesn't scroll

Hi

Maybe you have to configure the touchpad again?

I think you will find the touchpad settings in control panel -> mouse.
There you have to search for the touchpad entry? I?m not sure if you have to got to the properties or settings but one of this option should be available to get advanced touchpad settings.

The A110-156 seems to be a PSAB0E series?
If you are using the Vista then you have to update the BIOS to the 5.20-WIN version because this BIOS is only for Vista usage!

Hi, like I said just turned on the laptop as usual, but for some reason now the Touchpad will not Scroll (but works to touch to click). And, the Bottom bar Disappears only when I am on the internet chrome (on chrome its gone, but still there on internet explorer, but who wants to use explorer!! lol).

It makes it so hard to click between research and writing! Its always there like it should be on word doc , excel etc.

Small things, but super annoying and I dont understand why the change, or how theyre connected. Would just like them fixed, its so silly it would just change on me.

Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks, Jenna

Here you have to go to last tab ?Advanced? and click on Advanced setting button.

Now you should get a menu with all options available for touchpad.
There should be a option called ?Use Scroll function?. This should be checked/enabled.

Answer:Re: Satellite A210-11C (PSAEGE) - Can't scroll on touchpad

Hi!

Did you activate the virtual scroll function in Synaptics driver?

You should check this because this feature must be enabled. Go to control panel => Mouse => Device Settings => Settings => Virtual Scrolling.

Therefore the Synaptics driver must be installed. I?m using the driver from the Toshiba website and don?t have any problems.

Hi,
I'm interested in buying notebook L500-164.

Can anybody tell me if this notebook has a touchpad with scroll-function?
And if, only page down or also "left to right"?

Thanks!

Answer:Satellite L500-164 - Does the touchpad has scroll function?

Hi

Yes, the Satellite L500 supports virtual scrolling.

But therefore you need the touchpad driver, this feature is software based as on other notebook. It?s not a problem because the driver is already preinstalled and additionally you can download it on the Toshiba page. :)

Have fun with a new Satellite L500. Friend of me bought it too and it?s really great and the price is also good.

I have a cordless HID compliant mouse, which works fine.

Answer:Re: Touchpad doesn't scroll on Satellite A210 PSAEGE

One day I realized I had lost pinch and scroll functions on my touch pad. Don't know why.
So I tried to install a Synaptics touch pad Driver. This provided the missing functions but the Cursor got delayed and the sensitivity of the touch pad was restricted to a certain spot. Therefore I de-installed the Synaptic Driver again.
The sensitivity issued got cured but I still had no pinch and scroll function on the touch pad.
Therefore I went to the Toshiba download site and learned that the ALPS Driver was the original Driver.
I tried to install this Driver (as requested for 64 bits).
The installation seemed to pass smoothly. After re-starting there is still no pinch and scroll functionality and nowhere the driver is found neither in the programs list nor added to the "mouse" Screen in the System functions Folder.

How can I get that pinch, zoom and scroll functions back to my touch pad?

Answer:Satellite L50-B - lost touchpad pinch and scroll functions

This sounds like program interference, you will need to perform a clean boot and disable firewall and antivirus and then try and install the driver. Here is a description on how to perform a clean boot, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

My touchpad (Alps Ver. 7.0.302.8) looses the scroll function periodically when switching between web sites in Firefox.
Under "mouse properties" the graphic shows no activity for the scrolling activity.

It usually highlites the graphic when I touch the scroll area of the touchpad. I am at the latest driver ver., but have not tried removing & reinstalling it yet. Anyone know if this is likely a Vista (Vista Home Premium SP1) issue or an Alps driver issue?
I also occasionally lose my pointer settings, like speed, when awaking from sleep. Not sure of exact conditions when this happens though.

I have seen an issue with my wireless adapter not being recognized after after sleep.
For this, I must restart the computer & the device is reinstalled.
The problem with the touchpad did not occur for the first 2 weeks of use, but the wireless adapter problem started from day 2 or 3.

Oh, BTW, I also have a Logitech mouse (Ver. 4.24.28.0) installed & Wacom (1.2.2.0) driver installed.
I can do without the Wacom being installed at start, but I do want the Logitech mouse driver installed.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, kev

Answer:Satellite P305-S8828 touchpad loosing scroll function

Hey kev

We can discuss about this just if you use recovery image or ?factory settings?. You have installed third part driver and the Toshiba responsibility stops there. Nobody knows if there is some negative influence to Toshiba preinstalled driver.

If you want to have full touchpad functionality, use Toshiba stuff only. But if you want to use some external device with own driver or software you must live with it.

Hi,

the Alps touchpad driver for W8.1 that is currently supplied by Toshiba does not have an option to adjust the vertical scroll speed of the two finger gesture. With the default speed, even leaning the fingers downwards without moving them results in a scroll that is equivalent of PAGE_DOWN, e.g. way to fast. The version I use is the latest one from the website (tpdrv-20140306120847.zip)

There is a registry entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Alps/Apoint that make the situation a bit more bearable (set ScrollLines to 1), but there is no way to adjust if further it in the settings or the registry

A newer Alps Driver (8.103.404.104) from another company has this option and scrolling works like it should on the lowest speed, but it does not support 2-finger rightclick.

Why does toshiba use an outdated driver that is missing this critical function? Is there a new driver available? Did anyone find a fix for this?

Answer:Satellite Z30 - Updated Touchpad Driver with adjustable scroll speed?

Hi

From my knowledge notebook manufacturers modify and adjust the own drivers.
The driver versions are always different and are not always comparable with driver versions released by other notebook manufacutrers.

As you said above:
the Alps driver released by Toshiba does not support the scroll speed but at the other hand it supports the 2-finger right click.
The other driver supports the scroll speed option but doesn?t support the finger right click.

Well it would nice to have an driver which would support all the mentioned options.
So I think we can just wait and hope that the next releases will support some more nice-to-have features?

Hello, I got my new Lenovo Ideapad U410 (Windows 7) yesterday and I'm just starting to get things going. The one thing that has been bothering me is that I can't scroll uing the touchpad. It must be the Page Up button/Scroll Lock using the Fn Key, but I've tried it and absolutely nothing happens. I just had my new W530 delivered yesterday, unfortunately with Windows 8 Professional. I noticed that the cursor would not move when I moved my finger across the touchpad or the cursor was "stuck" until I tried a repeat movement with my finger.   I adjusted almost every setting on the latest lenovo driver which provides for windows 8 screen gestures.   The responsiveness to windows 8 gestures does not appear that good, but it is a story for another post.  The main reason for my post is that vertical scrolling barely works in IE 10.I have all the smart check items disabled and the palmcheck lowered to 3.   I've got the touch sensitivity to light, but have also tried heavy.   I have to push like I'm trying to crack the case to get the cursor to move up and down, and often I will touch the right side of the touchpad and nothing happens or it takes a few tries of swiping to get the window to move up or down.    I called two support agents and the first one reminded me I have 30 days to return the unit for a refund, and the second guy had me update the driver with the lenovo update  utility which showed the same version as the one I downloaded and installed.  It made no difference.   He then suggested that if I keep the laptop, the trackpad needs replacing. From looking at some other posts, I really wonder if the pad could be ok, but lenovo is actually selling this thing with a trackpad that performs that poorly. &nb... Answer:Touchpad vertical scroll horrible or touchpad defective

On the W520, the two finger scrolling is unusable, it just randomly jerks the window, or not. Tried every trick in the book when I first got my W520, after a couple of months of wasting time gave up and only use it with a mouse. The W520 has the worst trackpad in the history of computing devices (and the worst mic and speakers, or at least worst drivers). If you need a working touchpad, dont by a Lenovo W series.

- For some reason Dell set the default to two finger scrolling so if you can't find the above menu try placing your index and middle finger about half and in apart in the middle of the trackpad and pull down like you normally do to scroll with one finger

I have some issues with touchpad scroll option, like there`s no one finger scroll option as most laptops have it, latest drivers TouchPad Driver (Elan, Synaptics) 17.0.14.74/11.4.31.1 are installed on windows 7 x64 with no errors and works ok .. but, it confuses me when I looked: http://tinyurl.com/mmzdnue ..so, where is the one finger scroll option?.. is there any older driver with that option?  thanks for any advice!

Answer:g50-70 touchpad/scroll?

hi fangovk,

Welcome to the Forums.

If you have an ELAN Touchpad, it's likely that the feature is disabled in the registry. Try to check this article on how to enable these hidden features then reboot the machine and observe if you now have an Edge Scroll (a.k.a. One Finger Scroll) option.

Note:
The procedure requires you to merge a registry file to enable all the ELAN features. Ensure that you create a System Restore point or a registry backup just in case you need to revert back the changes.

In Yoga 900 the touchpad does not scroll sometimes even I updated all the drivers or restored the computer. I thought it was just me having this problem but then I read in the reviews on Lenovo web site that some users was complaining quote "trackpad isn't reliable as it doesn't scroll sometimes. Not sure if I am missing something or this is genuinely a problem. in any case, would appreciate Lenovo's attention on this".

To be more concrete the scrolling with two fingers with the touchpad (trackpad) seems to work well in desktop apps like Chrome, but does not seem to work well in windows metro or windows metro app. For example, going to Windows 10 Button > All apps, scrolling will not work there with two fingers using touchpad. Nor will it work in Windows 10 > Settings > any options. Switching to Chrome it will imediately work smoothly.

Number of users affected is at least 2 so I decided to bring it up here so it can be resolved.

Answer:Yoga 900 - Touchpad does not scroll sometimes

I have the same problem with the touchpad/trackpad. Chrome, IE, and Edge two finger scroll acceptably.   Windows (start menu and settings) and metro apps will work after a reboot until you click on something and then scrolling breaks completely (or behaves very erratically in these applications). I've tried reinstalling the touchpad drivers (trying to uninstall fails for me) and creating the "UseScrollCursor" registry key that some people have reported, but I haven't had any success. I'm glad I purchased with a 15 day return policy. I will wait a few days to see if a fix comes out, but I can't live with this type of bug.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but here goes:

For quite some time now my scroll button (I guess it's called the middle action button) has not worked. I've recently downloaded all the recent drivers for the touchpad/trackpoint and it hasn't worked. I open up the mouse properties box from the Thinkpad Configuration options, and under the Device Settings tab I click on the Synaptics TouchPad then click settings >> buttons. But under the buttons tab the only two options showing up are "left button" and "right button" but no "middle button" when before it used to be there. My question is, how do I get this middle button back?

My Spectre is only 1 month old and my TouchPad scroll feature isn't working. I've gone to Settings-Add. mouse options- ClickPad Settings. Two-Finger Scrolling is selected. I've unselected and saved. Reselected, saved and still not working. I've then selected the vertical and horizontal scrolling. This isn't working either. The TouchPad is working for other options, rotating, pinch zoom, etc. are, however, working. The only thing not working are either scrolling options. This just recently happened over night...

So i got this new HP spectre i7 that I am very glad for, but for some reason, I cannot scroll with the touchpad. It has worked a couple of times, but for the most part, the mouse just moves without the page scrolling. I have tried to update the touchpad driver, but was the system said that I already had the newest available. It is quite an annoyance since I have to use the scroll bar constantly instead of scrolling swiftly with the touchpad.

Every time my T61 comes back from hibernation the touchpad scroll will not work.  The touchpad itself, the navpoint, and the navpoint scroll via the blue button all still work.  If I restart, it will work again.  I've reinstalled the driver multiple times with no success.  It still works when I come back from sleep, but not from hibernate.  Any suggestions?

Answer:T61 Touchpad Scroll after Hibernate

Hello everyone, The following fixed this problem for me. I have a T61.1. Download the latest drivers from Synaptics?s website, not Lenovo?s.http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers2. Uninstall the ultranav driver and ultranav utility, and restart.3. Install the driver you downloaded from Synaptics. That?s it. Horizontal scrolling now works. Lenovo?s drivers are customized for thinkpads, replacing their driver with the one from Synaptics may result in loss of certain options and functionality. I do not need any extras like the zoom and all that. I usually use the trackpoint middle button as a mouse wheel click to open links in new tabs, and that still works. The Synaptics driver allows you to customize the trackpoint (they call it ?pointing stick?) also, so maybe the Lenovo driver isn?t all that important. Try it for yourself and see if it works for you. You can always uninstall Synaptics and go back to Lenovo?s driver.

It's a Firefox problem.
It's well known, its possible that an earlier driver for the touchpad may work, but its a "variable" fix success wise.

Hi,

I use a Toshiba notebook; Intel (R) Centrino 2 duo core processor P8400.

My touch pad is active and ok but shows only the mouse pointer on the screen.
The virtual scrolls which usually appear have gone
The nature of my work warrants that I get them back for easy manipulations.

I uninstalled the synaptic driver and reinstalled another I got from the Toshiba website supports and downloads link compatible with my system.

I am still not having my scroll bars active and do not know what to do next.
I am also not very versed with computers
Can anyone help me out?

Answer:Mising scroll bar on TouchPad

You can disable or enable the scroll function on the touchpad.

Go to control panel => mouse => device settings
Select the Synaptic Touchpad and click on settings. In the category virtual scrolling you can enable this feature.

Hello.

I have recently acquired a Satellite L750 laptop which has an issue where it will not power on but annoyingly it teases me by working perfectly on rare occasions to it seems to me as though there is some hope for it. When I press the power button the power LED will turn on for a second or 2 then go off again, the fan does not spin up at all and neither does the hard drive.

I first got it working by holding the escape key while pressing the power button, I was able to access the BIOS menu but I left it overnight after that. In the morning it failed to turn on again, this time it stayed powered on (i.e. fan, HDD and lights were on) but it didn't seem to POST correctly as there was no hard drive activity or anything on screen. This was fixed by relocating the only RAM module from one slot to the other, after this it was working perfectly again and I was able to use it for about 4 hours with no signs of any problems what so ever until I shut it off.

24 hours later the laptop is back to it's original problem where only the power LED will turn on for a second then the whole thing shuts off again. I have tried the escape key thing as before, relocating the ram several times, removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes but nothing works. I have removed each component one by one and tried powering on but the problem remains. I have swapped the RAM module with a known working one. The power supply appears fine even when under a 10 ohm load. There does not appear to be a... Read more

Answer:Satellite L750 will not power on

Firstly I thought it could be a memory problem since the first attempt to relocate the RAM module has helped to get the notebook back to life. But since the usage of new good working modules did not solve the problem, I think the issue is related to motherboard fault.

This is of course only my personal opinion but I think you know that only some few parts could cause such problems. It could be an faulty motherboard, CPU as well as graphic card.
Possible RAM issue has been already excluded? so probably it?s a affected motherboard?

What do you think?

Answer:Is it possible to upgrade GPU on my Satellite L750?

GPU upgrade is not supported and cannot be done. Due to specific design and hardware configuration hardware upgrade is very limited.
Graphic card with more power produce more heat and that is the main problem by mobile machines. Cooling system designed for your notebook is optimized for certain graphic card.

This model suffered from a few things which lasted from when I bought the laptop in 2011 until last week:

- Constant clicking from the DVD player (This could only be disabled through the device manager).

- Excessive CPU fan use.

I recently noticed through Speccy that the CPU temperature had risen dramatically. I therefore thought the CPU vent was blocked and sprayed some compressed air into it.

I also reinstalled the operating system but this time and for the first time using a Windows 7 Retail disk and not a Toshiba Recovery disk. To my surprise the boot and shutdown speed is massively fast, the CPU temperature at idle only hovers around 40C and the laptop seems freed from what must have been some malfunctioning software or a combination of software items that created excessive CPU use. I only installed the Display Driver and went through the Intel Driver Update Utility with the Windows 7 Retail disk install. Now it would be good to have an explanation for this....

In addition, is there any way that I can extract drivers from the HDDRecovery partition which I have copied elsewhere?

Hi!

I have a big problem!
My Notebook Satellite L750 makes a lot of trouble to me!
It started about 6 months ago.

Sometimes it boots sometimes it won?t!
To turn it off is not that easy because no one knows if it is in sleep mode or really off.
So I pulled the battery out and also the power supply.

Now if pressing the power on button it seems that the notebook is booting but nothing really happens.
Then I have to cut power again and wait a for about 20 minutes and then it maybe will start!

When it does not start it will not go to bios either!
Then I decided to check the harddisk.

So I build it out and hang it on a desktop PC as a secondary drive.
Then I started scans with HDtune and Crystal disk info and and... no errors were found.
Now I tried to repair windows 7 but everytime during the setup process it hangs up with BSOD 7b or F4 or or.....

Now I decided to bring it back were it was bought because it was at this point 9 months old.
After a week of waiting they told me that the repair would cost me 600?.
But it was still under warranty!!!!

They told me that the at one of the RAM slots one latch was broken and in this case toshiba would not offer warranty anymore.
First point is I just don?t know why one latch was broken?!!!

Second point is that this is not the error source!
Because there are 2 RAM?s built in with 4GB each.

When I pull the one with the broken latch out of the slot the same errors are occurring.

Answer:Satellite L750 - Sometimes it boots sometimes it won´t

Hi

This sounds really crazy mate.
I mean the notebook is 9 month old and the warranty is still valid.

In my opinion the described notebook behavior is not software related issue?
Therefore I see just one real option for you:
Get in contact with an authorized service provider in your country.

Here is a database with all ASPs worldwide:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

Pick the one responsible for the your country and explain the whole story and issue.

I can tell you about my issue with notebook from another manufacturer.
I bought it and BSOD appeared only if the AC adaptor was connected and only if an html page has been opened... crazy!!! I could not believe that.

So asked the service for help? they checked everything and finally say said it was a mobo issue? well, replaced the part and after that it was ok.

Hello everyone,

So i want to format my laptop( Toshiba Satellite L750) and in order to do that, I need to boot from CD, I don't how to do this..

I tried pressing F12 right after rebooting the system, F8, Delete button, and even the C key, neither of that works, i also tried the toshiba utilities software but i never could reboot from CD ?

Anyone could help me please ?
I really appreciate your replies .

Answer:Satellite L750 - Can't Reboot from CD

Hi

I?m wondering why you cannot choose the ODD as booting device?
Usually after pressing F12 you should get an boot menu on the screen.
Can you see this?

Press power button and press F12? you can press F12 several times in the row to ensure that F12 has been entered and recorded properly.
Furthermore press F2 should allow you to access the BIOS.
The F2 button should be pressed also very fast immediately after pressing the power on button.

By the way: do you try to boot from created Recovery disk?

How can I get my Satellite faster, actually is really low , reciently format but it doesnt work properly , is there any sugestion ?

Answer:Slow Satellite L750-1EZ

Hello

On this forum you can find many threads with similar theme. In my opinion you must optimize preinstalled operating system. Remove from the system all stuff you don't need, disable all useless applications from start-up and disable automatic windows update. This can be the first thing you can do.

Of course you can upgrade RAM to have more powerful machine.
Do you use your machine for gaming?

I bought a Toshiba L750-1RJ laptop and I would like to know what CPUs are compatible with my laptop?

Thanks advanced,
Steve

Answer:Satellite L750-1RJ - CPU compatibility

Hi

As far as I know the Satellite L750 series was equipped with different CPU units.
The supported CPUs are port of the Intel Arrandale Mobile Processor family.
The supported CPUs are:

Intel Core i7-620M
Intel Core i5-540M
Intel Core i5-520M
Intel Core i5-450M
Intel Core i3-360M
Intel Core i3-350M
Intel Core i5-430M
Intel Core i3-330M
Intel Pentium P6100
Intel Pentium P6000
Intel (988P) P4500

But note: usually CPU upgrades are not supported by any of the notebook manufacturers. So in case you want to perform such upgrade, this is always your own risk.

Hi, I'm mew to this forum so I apologise if this is posted in the wrong section.

My problem...I have a Satellite L750 ( psk1we - 0D0009EN ),
I decided to have a play about with linux and managed to completely wipe my entire hdd, including recovery partition.

What I want to know is how do I get my laptop back to the way it was when new,

I have windows7 installation disk (legit), I have already tried to reinstall windows 7 but for some reason none of the hardware worked, bluetooth, wireless, ethernet etc, even when I downloaded the drivers from toshiba they didn't seem to work, I foolishly made no backups, Is there anything I can do, Please help..

Answer:Need to recover my Satellite L750

Hi

It was a big mistake NOT to create a recover disk as described in user manual
So your last chance to set the notebook back to factory settings is this one:
Purchase the recovery disk and use it to install the factory image

Hello

My laptop fell to the ground. HDD was damaged. No bootable.

I only could recover HDD recovery folder from L: (partition recovery). Did a copy of HDD recovery folder on another PC and then the HDD was completely unreadable

I do not have recovery discs.

How can I recover OS from HDDrecovery folder ? (Already bought new HDD)

Thanks for your help

Answer:Need help with recovering Satellite L750

Hi

Unfortunately you cannot start recovery image installation from folder. It works a bit different.
All you can try is to read http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm and check if you can somehow create recovery media following the instructions described there.

Answer:Re: Need BIOS for Satellite L750-129

Hello Pavel

If you cannot find this BIOS update on official Toshiba page the question is where did you find info about this BIOS update version?

Do you have some problems with your notebook? I mean is there some serious reason why do you need BIOS update?

Hi

You should be able to upgrade to any socket G2 Sandy Bridge CPU that matches power draw with yours, including dual core I7. See here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...22_.2832_nm.29
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...22_.2832_nm.29

Not sure about Ivy Bridge.

I've lost my HDD and I cant go into anything except for F2 and F12.

Please help

Answer:Satellite L750 - Can't find HDD

Hello

That means the HDD is not recognized in BIOS anymore or how to understand that the HDD is lost?!

If the HDD is not recognized anymore you have to replace it and install the OS again. Satellite L750 is pretty new notebook model so I think it?s under valid warranty and if you contact an authorized service provider you can get a new HDD for free. Just contact the guys and ask for help, they will replace the HDD for you.

Do you know where you can find nearest ASP?

Hey all,

Just wondering if Satelite L750 (PSK2YA-0S402S) will support a single 8Gig RAM chip?

Thanks
Hodds

Answer:Satellite L750 - 8 Gig RAM Question

Good question.
Usually if there are two Ram slots it will be recommended usage of 2 x 4GB RAMs.

According notebook specification your notebook has 4GB RAM inside and one free slot for additional memory modules.
Buy compatible 4GB RAM and use max supported RAM.

Hey guys,

I have Toshiba Satellite L750-1PP and it won't shutdown.
When I click on shutdown button, it start shutting down and then freezes, after few minutes my toshiba restarts.
I have Win7 Ultimate, and i noticed that bluetooth doesn't work...

What do you think? What should I do? Is bluetooth problem? Or will reinstall of Win7 resolve problem?

Answer:Satellite L750-1PP won't shut down

> I have Win7 Ultimate,
That means you don?t use original Toshiba preinstalled operating system but your own version. Who knows how you have installed and what have you installed on your notebook?
Who knows which applications are running in the background and which one ?blocks? shut down process.

You know, it is not easy to give proper answer to your question. In my opinion original BT software should not be the problem. Maybe some additional application is troublemaker.

If possible try to end some running processes in task manager and check if shut down is OK. Maybe you will find out what is the problem there.
> Or will reinstall of Win7 resolve problem?
Generally speaking yes, especially if you install original OS that you got with your notebook.

This follows up from the post "Satellite L750-16Z DVD Drive erratic behaviour".

The endless dvd drive clicks for no reason were resolved by disabling the Toshiba PC Health Monitor from startup in msconfig.

Now, if I go into Windows Media Player and play a saved .wmv file, the DVD Player will click when a .wmv file is played normally just the first time. I think this may have something to do with the settings in Windows Media Player as VLC appears OK. Any ideas?

I could try to completely uninstall the PC Health Monitor - but before doing this I noticed that my version is 1.7.9.64M but the one on the Toshiba site is 1.7.4.64 and there does not appear to be a 1.7.9.64M to download for my model in case I wish to reinstall at a later date.

As an interim measure I have disabled the DVD drive in device manager. I am also wondering if it is possible to disable the DVD player from the BIOS? This isn?t an ideal solution, but should save the drive in the long term.

Not sure about that but it could be related to WMP if this appears only using the WMP.

I assume this is the same version? however, on the Toshiba driver page you will not find older version than preinstalled on the notebook. so you will be able to download always the newest version?so don?t worry about that? you can uninstall this tool ;)

PS: DVD drive cannot be disabled in BIOS

Does anyone know how I determine if my new Toshiba Satellite L750-03C044 supports the enhanced speed of USB 3.0?

It has three USB sockets - two on the right of the case and one on the left by itself. All three sockets are coloured black, not blue as I might possibly expect for USB 3.0 support.

All three sockets are marked with the USB trident logo. The one on the left is additionally marked with a lighting bolt log.

Can someone please advise. Many thanks.

Answer:Satellite L750 - Support for USB 3.0

Hello

I?ve checked specification and there is written that your notebook has 3 x Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports so I?m afraid there is no support for USB 3.0.
