Re: Keyboard typing letter and numbers when pushing letter keys

Question: Re: Keyboard typing letter and numbers when pushing letter keys

Hi,

My keyboard is typing letters and numbers when pushing letter keys. I've made sure im on the right mode. You know FN -11 / FN -10. I have a Satellite L300D-11V running Windows vista home premium. Can anyone help?

I have also tried holding down both shift keys for 20seconds and both shift and the alt key for 20secs, but no change. Sticky keys are not on and the keyboard language is set to united kingdom.

Any help would be great,

Thanks.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

HiA group of keys in one area of my laptop have all of a sudden started typing numbers instead of their correct letters. Laptop is only 6 months old and all other keys work fine. I have shut down and restarted but just the same.Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

Answer:Some letter keys on laptop typing numbers

Make/model of laptop - and, what group of keys? I am only guessing, but perhaps there is a way of using a certain group of keys as a Number Pad on your laptop if it does not already have a Number Pad on the keyboard.

I got a new z50-70 core i7 running win 8.1, 8gb ram, 15'' screen. Since I opened the box and turned it on for the first time, I keep getting this issue: sometimes, when I hit one key in the keyboard (normaly the "A", but it has happened to other keys, E, O, M...) it types it twice. For instance, hit the A, got AA. It is not something that happens all the time, but it happens a lot. I don't believe it is hardware related, or it wouldn't happen with every key. Also, it has nothing to do with the keyboard repeat config, as it kept happening even when I have disabled it. Since this happened the first time I opened it, I can't even return to a previous restore point. I was thinking this might be driver or virus issues. Does somebody have a clue on how to solve it?

Answer:Z50-70 - keyboard issue, typing same letter twice

My HP Pavilion dv4-1123US has suddenly started typing every keystroke twice.  I get double letters for everything typed.  This is happening for every key, letters, numbers, backspace, cap lock.  PPAASSWWOORRDD.  Etc.  I am forced to use a virtual keyboard that came with Kaspersky Internet Security. I tried uninstalling the device driver for the keyboard in Device manager and letting Windows reinstall it during reboot.  This did not work. I running Windows 7 64-bit. Anyone else having this issue?  How can I fix it.

Answer:Suddenly my keyboard is typing every letter twice

This might be with the keyboard settings. Click Start, Control Panel and open Keyboard Properties. Try to change the Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate settings which should solve your issue.

Hi. I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C660D, Windows 7. Lately, my keyboard has been typing more than one letter when I press certain keys. I haven't installed or downloaded anythiing that could a have caused thuis, I did a virus scan and nothing came up (I use ESET security). My arrow keys are having problems too. I use them to scroll the page when I'm not using my mouse, and sometimes the up and across keys won't scroll up and across if I've been using the down key. I'll try to scroll up, but it will just keep going down.

y78 - y (this comes up when I press the 7 and 8 key too)
ui - u and i keys
hk - h and k keys
j, - j and , keys

Y&* - holding in shift and pressing any of those keys

This problem has gotten really annoying, and I'd like to know what the problem is.
Thank you.

Chrome has the Flash Player built in. Make sure Chrome is up to date. FF requires you to update the Flash Player. Make sure you have the latest version for XP. Some people have chosen to play Flash Games with a controller rather than the keyboard.

Hello.
Recently I have been having a problem on my ProBook 4540s. After not using the laptop for a few minutes the screen dims in order to save battery. After I wake it is starts typing a random letter (usually "q" or ".") around 80 times, which is very annoying. I dualboot Win7 Pro 64bit and Ubuntu. I only experience this problem on Windows which leads me to believe that it is a software problem and not a hardware one.
Please help me.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 which was upgraded to windows 10.
The issue i am having is that when it gets to the login, it types the letter P repeatedly in the password without anyone touching the keyboard.
At first i thought it was a keyboard issue, so i removed it.  Same problem occurs without any input devices connected, i also disconnected the touch pad and the wireless mouse.
One piece of hint to this issue is that if i press F2 to get to the bios, the problem doesn't occur. It seems to do this only after POST.
Anyone has any idea how i can fix this?

Thanks.

Hello,

I have noticed of late that my computer starts typing the letter 'o' by itself. Sometimes it gets really bad and I can't type anything properly.

Do you think this is a virus or is it something wrong with my keyboard??
Should i use the recovery disk and start again??

Thanks for any help.

Answer:Equium starts typing the letter 'o' by itself

Hi

I think it?s more a keyboard hardware issue as a Virus?
In most cases similar issue happens due to the keyboard controller or the keyboard malfunction?

But one question; did you install drivers for your USB mouse? Such drivers could affect the standard keyboard drivers.

But to be honest I think it?s a hardware issue.
So what to do?. In my opinion the real solution would be the hardware replacement.

Therefore the ASP should check the hardware components and if need should replace it.

Good luck

I have a new EliteBook laptop.  Nearly every time I type the letter 't' or 'y' the cursor moves.  (for the previous sentence, the cursor moved to between the l and i in Elite when I typed ty in the word "typed").  It is very annoying.  I do not think I am hitting the mousepad as I reach for these letters.    As this is a new computer, it has not had anything spilled on it nor has it had any (known to me) bumps or bangs.  Any thoughts?

I have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop.

The computer has developed a lag between the time I strike a letter on the keyboard and when that letter shows up on the screen. I don't really type all that fast, but I'm running way ahead of what is immediately visible on my screen. If I stop typing, the screen will catch up, zipping the cursor across the screen from left to right and revealing the letters.

It is really bothersome if I mis-type something because I can't see it to immediately correct it.

It happens when I type messages in Lotus Notes email, when I write in MS Word, when I fill in a form or enter a password on a website - and it is happening now as I write this. There even is a lag between pressing a directional arrow and the response in a falling piece when I take a break and play the old Tetris game.

Several people have suggested that I have a problem with spyware or malware.
Does this seem likely?
Any suggestions for how I might correct this?

I have run the "Superspyware" free edition. It found only adware and tracking, which I deleted - but the problem remains.

Thanks in advance for anything you might be able to tell me.

Answer:The Letter ''e'' Turns Into "EG1'' While Typing ''e''

Hello highshootown and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you could post back with more details about your system specifications we may be able to give better information. Are you on a laptop, desktop? Wired or wireless? Etc. Does it happen at log in or when using a specific program like Notepad or Office or all the time? Sometimes dirt in a keyboard can cause some strange behavior. Or perhaps an autocomplete problem.

Answer:Satallite Pro L550-1WG keeps typing the letter R on its own

Hi

To be honest it looks like a keyboard malfunction.
I don?t know any option which could cause this and I?m sure such option does not exist.
I think you can solve this only by keyboard replacement.

This notebook does not seem to be old. The warranty should be valid and therefore I recommend to get in contact with an local Toshiba ASP who would be able to replace the keyboard under warranty conditions. This service should be free of charge.

Good luck

I have a new Acer Aspire R. It will suddenly type numbers instead of letters (all keys). The num lock is off. I can fix it for awhile by turning tablet mode on and then off again. But later will randomly start typing numbers again. Very annoying.  Sometimes the tablet mode doesn't work and I need to reboot.

Answer:My new Acer Aspire types numbers instead of letter...

Did you check if it is always exactly the same numbers for each letters, or is it random? If random, you may have a dying keyboard. A good test for that, is to get hold of a USB keyboard. then next time you have the issue, go in the device Manager, deactivate your keyboard, then connect the USB keyboard, and see if that works fine. If it does, then it points to your keyboard going bad One thing that could not hurt, is to open the device manager, and uninstall the keyboard, then reboot so its driver is reinstalled.

I have tried all kind of malware removal softwares, rootkills, scans, registry fixes and cleansing.

Some letters have digits attached to them, and other keyboard strokes such as shift, ctrl have other commands.
Grateful for any help and advice!

they succeed to create an user account, so until i found it they had access to my laptop remotely, enough to mess with everything and steal my whole pc.

Hi everybody, My Qosmio G20 is giving me headaches! When I try to type a letter or article suddenly the cursor jumps a few lines back and I find myself typing in the middle of an earlier sentence. Then sometimes it just wipes out a paragraph I have just typed.
Any suggestions as to why? And more important as to how to get it to behave normally?
I'd be glad of Advice.

Thanks.

Answer:Qosmio G20: cursor jumps during typing the letter

Yes, this is because of the touchpad. To disable it and type in peace, just press Fn+F9. This will disable the touchpad temporarily. When you're done typing, press Fn+F9 again, it will re-enable the touchpad.

Greetings all!I come to you in desperate need of help. Well, not really, but my problem still is pretty annoying. I've got a Lenovo X60 that has a peculiar error, and my efforts in determining the error has come up empty so far.The problem is that whenever I type some text, my brainiac computer likes to throw in a random letter every now and then, say every 1 or 2 minutes. After a while, my text looks like it's been written by someone slightly dyslectic. Rest assured, I use spell checking all the time, but it would be nice if it was me rather than my computer which decides what letters to type.First I reckoned it might be a problem with the keyboard (I use my laptop in a docking station, btw), but the problem persists regardless if I use an external USB-keyboard or the laptop keyboard. What gives? An example, I might type the following line:"My computer has a problem. It's really annoying"And of course, my computer throws in a random letter, and the text reads:"My computer has a problemr. It's really annoyzing"Anyone got an idea what the problem might be? Thanks for your advice, it's much appreciated

Answer:Computer Throws In A Random Letter Or Two When Typing

think to self - am i dyslexic?

im kidding of course..

the first thought would be a keyboard fault, but if you say you have tried another keyboard then it kind of eliminates that..

does it only happen in specific programs/apps? or all typing you do?

(in the above i say 'kind of eliminates'.... by that i mean the laptop keyboard could be faulty. even if you plug in USB keyboard and are using that to type, the normal laptop keyboard would probably still be functional (ie you could actually input with both) and so it may still spit out the odd character...)

Hi everyone, I have an Edge 15 and have been using Firefox to surf the internet.  While surfing the internet, every now and then, when I go to type something into a field (like this posting field for example), if the first letter is an "F", the windows calculator pops up.  For example, if I went to log into this board with my nic, and started tying my nic into the "username" box, as soon as I type the letter "F", no "f" will show up in the text box, however, windows calculator will pop up. I've updated Firefox a few times as well as uninstalling it and reinstalling it to see if that would clear it up, no luck. It's just a bug I've found since I've had this machine, which is just over a year now.  I finally got around to registering and asking the question here. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Is there a way to have the OS automatically capitalize the first letter of each sentence ( after period . ), just like it happens in Windows Phone.
I searched online and all I could find is that it works if you use the touch keyboard of Windows 8.1, which can be changed by PC Settings->PC and devices -> typing -> Touch Keyboard -> Capitalize the first letter of each sentence
But what about a setting for while typing using normal physical keyboard, is there a way?

Answer:How to capitalize first letter of each sentence while typing in Windows 8.1?

IDK the answer but man that would be helpful if there is a way to do it. Thanks to you I have some searching to do tonight. :)

I have just set up my new HP slim line 410-010 and I have keyboard issues. I thinking it goes back to the choices in selecting your keyboard configuration. I recall one of the choices was something about right handed so what ever it said is what I did. I can't type anything. When asking me to name my computer I typed in Tom and it came out as "oyw" I can't type in my email as it comes out gibberish. I am using my laptop to make this post. I am pretty much clueless about the Windows 10 operating system and I don't know how to get back to the keyboard setup and see what those choices are and find out what they mean in terms of keyboard action.

Hope anyone can help me. I am a rookie in setting up a computer

I lost my Event Viewer, and had to do a repair installation to fix it. Unfortunately, during the repair install, Windows decided to rename my second HD as the D: drive... it was K: before that. Now I cannot access any of my docs, pictures, music, or videos through the normal means... they don't show up in libraries or explorer, and apps like Restorator and Sure Thing (CD labeler) cannot find them. I think that means the paths are broken..?

It won't allow me to rename the HD back into K: (it's not listed as available). I can access the data by clicking Computer > D, and I can see the data is there, but its unusable as of now. Any ideas?

Answer:Can't change hard drive letter to needed letter

Hello Stevie,

To be safe, you should create a restore point before doing this in case you make a mistake and need to use it to do a system restore.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ndows-7-a.html

1. If the K letter is not being used by another internal drive, then you can open regedit and navigate to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
2. In the left pane, Take ownership (step 2 in Option Two of METHOD TWO) of the registry key MountedDevices and "Allow" yourself "Full Control" of it as well.

3. In the right pane of MountedDevices, right click on \DosDevices\K: and click on Delete and OK.

4. Restart the computer to apply. You should now be able to change the second hard drive letter to K.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I am pretty much clueless about the Windows 10 operating system and I don't know how to get back to the keyboard setup and see what those choices are and find out what they mean in terms of keyboard action.

Hope anyone can help me. I am a rookie in setting up a computer

Hello

I had to open my pc and remove drives. Once re-installed, one of the drive has seen it's letter allocation modified. Since 2 application is pointing to G drive, I would like to be able to get it back.

Hard disk (2) Was G: Now, show has a D:
CD drive was D: Now show has E:

G: appear had a "movable" drive

What can I do to replace all drive letter allocation has it use to be

Any info appreciated

Martin

Answer:modifying drive letter: Letter to choose not in the list

To find out why the preferred letter is not available. Type disk management in the search bar on the start menu and select "create and format hard disk partitions". Look to see if the letter you want to use is already in use. If it is you will have to change it first.

What can I do?

Answer:Want to Assign a drive letter to a partitioned device but the letter i

Do you have any USB storage devices like a card reader hooked up? Those would take up extra drive letters but not show up in Explorer until you put some media in.

I also notice you have disk drives C: and F: and a DVD drive on D: which makes me wonder where E: is...

noticed yesterday that a small rectangular box appeared on my compaq presario v2000 screen in the upper right hand corner and the letter 'n' kept printing itself. rebooted, then the letter 'n' typed itself whether i clicked on the address bar, the search bar or my signin password bar. i could delete the n's but they would reappear almost immediately.

there was a brief time that i could delete the n's, type what i wanted hit enter and use the computer but it has gotten worse so i shut it down.

thinking i might have a stuck n on the keyboard, did everything except pry the letter out of the laptop. i was using ubuntu 15.04 and an update to 15.10 was available so i did that, thinking maybe that would rectify the problem. no such luck.

any idea what i might do? thanks for all your help.

That's actually probably what you need to do. Remove the key and look for something stuck underneath it.

I have this weird problem in that a lot of times when I try to type a backslash, it looks like a W with a horizontal line through it.

Now, here is the weird thing. It does not do it when I type online in a form like here. Here the \ works fine. But, in some other programs, it does not work correctly when I type it. And, when I try to type a \ in the URL address box of both IE and Firefox, it looks like the W with the horizontal slash in the middle of the letter.

It works fine in Microsoft Word, but the most obvious problem is when I try to install a new program or I see the backslashes in the address of a file on the computer (such as when I look to see the path of a program in the Start Menu).

In these cases, I do see the W with the horizontal line, not the backslash.

It doesn't appear the keyboard is defective, but something is not being interpreted correctly by the computer in SOME programs.

Any idea what this may be? It is not a problem causing major problems....it isn't like my files are becoming screwed up and the locations are fine, but is a bit grating to see the backslash being misinterpreted by the computer in a really weird way.

One of my college roomates was from S. Korea and he installed Korean language support so he could use my Word, but I uninstalled that and still have a problem. The default language in the Windows XP region/language settings is English US.

Hello, Just this morning as I turned my laptop on I couldn't use the top row of keys (Q through to P with exception to T and Y which function fine).  As for the middle row, A through ; , anytime I input a key it shows the value for that key and the one above it. For example, when I hit A, it shows QA, when I hit F, it shows RF. The exceptions are G and H (I'd assume this relates to the fact that T and Y keys function fine). The bottom row of keys are just fine, as are the number keys.  I cannot recall any type of water damage, which is why I'm pretty confused. I've had the laptop for a little over 2 years but it's been working just fine.  I'm pretty much wondering how big of a problem this is. Could I take off the keyboard on my own and clean it? Might the issue be so severe I should get it replaced? Thanks a lot in advance! Greatly appreciated

1. Unplug the charger / adapter. 2. Remove the battery. (If removable)3. Press and hold the Power Button for 15 seconds. 4. Re-install the battery, plug in the charger / adapter if needed and power up the system to see if the problem was resolved.

I am an accountant and brought some work home yesterday. I bought a USB number pad and it worked fine, but a lot of my work I need to use letters too, and with the numlock on I can't use the keys. Are all number pads like this? I would really like to use my keypad on the laptop for letters and the number pad for numbers. Please advise. Thanks.

Answer:Can I use the letter keys on my laptop with a USB number pad?

My wife started bringing work home and was in a similar situtation as you with the need to enter a lot of number data. We bought a Targus Model PAUK100U USB numeric keypad for her HP notebook. Windows Vista automatically detected it and added some needed human interface drivers without the need for any set-up CD.

It has its own Num Lock key and indicator light that appear to override the Num Lock function on the notebook. With Num Lock enabled on the external keypad, the Num Lock light on the computer stays off but momentarily flashes when an external number key is pressed. The dual function alpha/numeric keys on the notebook enter letters when pressed.

Just letting you know our results. No guarantee that the keypad will work the same way on your computer.

EDIT: My wife also prefers using a regular mouse over the notebook's touch pad. The Targus keypad has two USB expansion ports and she plugs a USB mouse into one of them.

Hi,
I have a HP pavilion g6. In the past few days, this problem has occurred twice. The second time it just went away, and I'm not sure how. But, here's the problem:

I don't know how it starts, but I can't type anything in text fields, and certain keys open programs, like commands. So, L logs me off, or E opens My Computer, etc. It just happens randomly, and apparently stops randomly as well. I have tried just restoring my computer, but it doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone have any Ideas on how to prevent this from happening again?
P.S. I'm not THE most tech savvy, but I know enough. I posted on this site, because I saw the same thread but with a desktop. The solved that problem by re-installing the keyboard drivers... But I'm not exactly sure I can do that.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer:Keyboard keys not working -- Opening programs instead -- pushing L logs me off

What is your exact model?

Try reinstalling the chipset drivers. If that doesn't work, I'd open it up and check the keyboard ribbon connection. If that is snug, I'd look at getting a new keyboard from eBay.

You may want to take a can of computer air and gently blow out dust and debris from under the keys. Do this carefully and with low pressure as too much will lift off individual keys. Also - make sure no liquid has been spilled onto the keyboard. If so you may need to take it to a service center for cleaning or replacement.Good luck.

Yesterday I spread some waters on my thinkpad keyboard and when I rebooted the mouse started to move randomly on the screen. I installed the UltraNav drivers and I decided to remove the keyboard (but it wasn't unplugged) and I waited the entire night to make sure it was dry. When I booted the computer today I got the stuck 38 keys error. After my second attempt the error disappeared. When arrived to the login screen  the mouse was working fine(the touchpad and the trackpoint), however the letters and numbers keys wasn't workings at all(Keys like the arrows , enter and num lock were working). I waited something like 20 minutes and when I tried the keyboard, the keys were working. I dicovered that the keys are working only after some random amount of time after the windows vista login screen appear. It does the same when my thinkpad is turned on sleep mode, the keys are are working only after a random amount of time after the computer is awaken. When I boot with an ArchLinux live cd, every keys are working. I'm wondering if replacing the keyboard could solve the problem :/ I was installing the UltraNav drivers ahen the accident arrived, I wondering if it could be a software issues too ? However I get the stuck 38 keys error when I boot some times.

I have a drive that has a lot of information on it that I need. A user left our company and all of his files are on this drive. I was handed it and asked to build a VM with all his information on it. When I plug the drive in it loads the drivers and shows
up just fine in Computer Management (shown below), but not in Computer. So I think, ok, I'll just add a drive letter but that option is greyed out and won't let me. The disk is initialized and appears to be healthy. I have gone to device manager and made sure
there were no problems there as well. It was also an external drive so I removed it and made it an internal drive on my machine but got the same results. It shows up in BIOS but obviously can't boot off of it since it is not an OS drive.
Deleting/formatting the drive is not an option. Is there a way to get this drive accessible without that? Deleting it is the exact opposite of what I want done here.
Thanks!

Answer:Change Drive Letter and Paths... greyed out. Can't assign drive letter.

That looks like a mac formatted drive, that's why it wont work on your PC. Try installing Paragon HFS+ for Windows.

I have an HP Pavilion Slimline s3127c which has worked fine until two days ago. Now whenever I use the W key in either Internet Explorer or Firefox (URL, search entry or email entry), there are several beeps, wx1tn5v]s appears in the URL line, LAUNCHING INTERNET appears briefly in the lower left hand corner of the screen, itunes opens and a tab relating to keyboard configuration (Configure Your Keyboard Internet Button) appears.

I have copied the keyboard configuration instructions and have them with me. I have followed the instructions several times but, as far as I know, have not been able to change the keyboard configuration. I open the Buttons tab in the Keyboard Properties window and find five Button options. The one on top, Launching Internet, is always highlighted. I have restored all buttons to the default configuration, but this does not help. The Launching Internet button is always highlighted. Because of the brief LAUNCHING INTERNET message when striking the W key, I assume the problem is connected to my keyboard.

I have uninstalled itunes and Firefox.

Odd. Could be something is wrong with the Z key on your keyboard. The Z key might be mechanically sticking (like staying pressed as if pushed) or electronically (due to some contaminate spilled into the keyboard). Have you done some trouble-shooting on the physical key itself?

Preface: I'm a computer tech of 13 years, and I've not seen a problem like this, nor can I figure out a way to successfully search for a similar problem online, so I figured I'd try here.

I've got a computer on our network that is displaying a unique symptom. When you type anything, it appears as a series of incrementing numbers from 0 to 9 and repeating. This happens when pressing any letter or number keys. The only key that appears to work is the tilde/backapostrophe (~`). Also interesting is that pressing Shift + any key gives you the symbol appropriate for pressing shift and that number.

So, for example, if I were to type:

This is a test! >> !234 56 7 [email protected]
AaaaaaAAA >> $56789)[email protected]
qwertyuiopasdfghjkl; >> 34567890123456789012

Etc...

The computer had a malware infection prior to this, including the WinAntivirus 2010 infection, as well as a rootkit infection that Gmer's tool located and "successfully" removed.

I don't think this is being caused by an infection, as MBAM and SAS are both showing the system as completely clean. I've tried a PS2 and USB keyboard, both which give the same result. Rkill doesn't show anything running in the background that shouldn't be, and for all other purposes, the computer is working perfectly.

Any ideas here?

Answer:Keyboard is typing consecutive numbers...!

I do not have a fix at this moment for this one but can recommend a work around.

Open Start>Run type osk.exe to access the on screen keyboard.

Maybe someone else around here has experienced this issue and will have a fix but for now if this PC is really needed to function this is one work around.

I have THINK PAD X40 that is a few years old.  I was working away today and all of a sudden the key board is typing numbers instead of the letters.  I am using the alpha keyboard - not the numbers.  I tried everything I can think of but nothing I have tried has worked to turn the numbers off so I can't even sign on because my password is coming up numbers instead of letter!  Can anyone out there help me?

Hi, so I recently ordered a lenovo y50 from this website. Everything is working great so far except for the fact that the "W" letter on my lenovo keeps popping out. Is there a location I can go to to resolve this issue (BestBuy Geeksquad)? I called lenovo and they said I could return the laptop and get a new one, but I am reluctant to wait another month for a new laptop. I've had this laptop for 4 days now and I have tried wriggling the "W" key back in, but it still pops out very frequently. Thank you!

Answer:Lenovo y50 popped keyboard letter

Dear Lenovoy50

Welcome in lenovo community

as it's so clear that it's a hardware issue, the best option to return the machine back to the place of purchase to get the replacement right

Thanks
Alaa

how to correct the key

Answer:Win 7 laptop keyboard cannot type letter A

Generic question, generic answer.A single key not working is probably a problem in the keyboard itself. If under warranty, bring/send it back (after backing up your files) for repair/replacement. If not, you can try a driver update from your manufacturer's website, but I am not confident that a software update if really the answer here. You may have to have a factory authorized service center repair/replace the keyboard and pay for it (if it is reasonably new but out of warranty).((Unless anyone else disagrees with me on this))You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane. If all else fails, read instructions.

What keyboard key for waht letter of the alphabet?

I'm using a Greek font called "SPIonic". I would like to have a chart that shows what key produces waht letter of the greek alphabet.

Answer:What keyboard key for waht letter of the alphabet?

not exactly what you're looking for i don't think but:
look for charmap.exe in your windows directory, probably in \windows\system32

or in the accessories group under the start menu (or you may have to pull out your windows cd and install it through add/remove)

it should show a sample and the keystroke combination for each of the fonts you have installed

have you tried google?
