Preferred Solution: Keyboard keys of Tecra A2 typing wrong symbols?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Keyboard keys of Tecra A2 typing wrong symbols?

Hi mate,

it could be that you have a wrong keyboard map. A keyboard map is like a draft for your hardware which identfies which char is displayed when you hit a key on your keyboard.
Keyboard maps a depending which language you use so if the symbols on the screen do not match the input of your typing then it could be that a wrong keyboard map is set.

In such case you will have to set another keyboard language.

To change the keyboard map you must do the following:
Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language options -> Click on the Tab "Languages" -> Details -> Choose your input language which matches your keyboard

Good luck and nice weekend

Ok, so I had Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2, but I wanted Professional because I heard it takes advantage of the dual core thing when Home doesn't, so I installed Windows XP Professional Media Center Edition 2005 and then upgraded to Service Pack 2. I didn't do anything on the computer before upgrading to Service pack 2, except register the computer and things, which I found out my problem. When entering my Email, instead of the @ sign coming up, the " sign came up.. here is a list of the keys that shouldn't be coming out when the button(s) is/are pressed(Note, I have an American Keyboard and an American copy of Windows):

Shift+2="
Shift+3=£
Shift+`=¨
Shift+'[email protected]
Not this / but the other slash=#
Shift+Not this / but the other slash=~

Is there anything known to fix this? Because this is getting very annoying, and I just want my keyboard to be normal lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance,
-Mr. Waffles

Hello, I went through the process of cleaning my mouse while the monitor was off and I'm fairly sure I clicked something maybe I shouldn't have but after that the whole keyboard was messed up..

E shows up as ]
D shows up as ''

Esc, start, [ , n, y, I, F1-F12 keys don't register, among a few others..

Things I've tried so I don't waste anyones time.. [Windows 7]
Changed Location, Keyboard Layout (English - US) is the only language
Ctrl - Shift x1/2, Alt - Shift x1/2, and pretty much any other variant I could think of.
Plugged another keyboard in, same thing.
Plugged keyboard in another computer, works like a charm.
Restarted, plugged and unplugged. Uninstalled and tried to update driver..

Nothing worked so far, hopefully you can can make something happen.
Thanks in advance.

Greetings, I am having a strange issue with my Lenovo Y560p laptop.  The keys are not typing the correct letters: For example the "y" key types "{}", the "n" key opens "file" tab, and the "m" key indents sentences or takes me to the beginning of the sentence but also sometimes types "><" and vertical bar.Potentially helpful information:Laptop keys are not dirty, or wet, no spills occurred.Sticky keys is not onI use an external usb keyboard and it works fine (currently doing this to type)I have updated and replaced all keyboard drivers, didnt helpI am using Windows 7 OSI recently moved from the US to Europe (perhaps electricity differences could be a factor?)Num Lock is not onthe keys work properly when I hit them very hard, this is obviously not sustainable or reasonable as I have to hit them quite hardThis issue only happens with a few keys, specifically "y n m" most notably. It is my conclusion that with my limited knowledge it is some sort of keyboard short. Is this reasonable? Please help me remedy this very annoying problem.

Hi! I'm kinda out of ideas.
So earlier today all of a sudden my pc started to whenever I typed the following symbols : "" '' ~~ ^^
They were typed double. so whenever I typed one of those symbols it came out as two symbols.
which meant I can't do apostrophes and all that good stuff.
This has never happend to me before and I didn't change anything about my pc at all.
I even switched keyboards and it still had the same issue.

Answer:Keyboard typing double symbols

Sounds like a driver problem. Try this:
Using Only a Mouse

Click the Windows "Start" button, right-click "Computer" and select "Manage" to open the Computer Management window. Select "Device Manager" from the pane on the left. Expand the Keyboards section, right-click on the keyboard you want to repair and choose "Uninstall." Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Restart." When your computer boots up, Windows will detect your keyboard and install the driver.
Hopefully that may solve your problem.

I am trying to reinstall Windows XP on a HP ze4560us laptop. The computer was badly corrupted with a virus. I have reformatted the hard drive and flashed the BIOS. Now when I do to reinstall the Windows XP operating system disk, I am unable to type in the product code. The keyboard lets me type letters but it doesn't let me type numbers. It gives me symbols instead of the numbers. Can anyone help? I am about to throw the computer out the window.

Answer:Keyboard error typing symbols instead of numbers

Did you try holding down the shift key?

Occasionally if you are holding down a button when turning on electronics, it will switch which way it works. I haven't seen that often in keyboards, but that may be what is happening.

If possible, try using a usb keyboard. Your keyboard may be damaged.

Has anyone of readers a Japanese keyboard and trouble with the assignment of
the keys when working in English.

I have a querty keyboard, all letters/CAPITALS work fine.
However the majority of the symbols [email protected]#$%^&*()_+{}:"<>?, are assigned to
the wrong keys

Example @ is SHIFT 2, but it indicates on that key "

Thanks

Answer:Japanese keyboard 00000411 keys do not match with symbols

that's because you have chosen "English US" in the keyboard language settings, and the US keyboards are actually arranged that way.

You should choose another kind of English for your keyboard, like the "English UK", as they have a keyboard more similar to yours (which if it is japanese should be like this, I hope)

Hi everyone, newbie here. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong spot. I joined this forum to get help with another problem but after reading the posting instructions I'd better do some homework before getting into that little mess I've made .

In the meantime, I've pulled out an inherited (but brand new) laptop and there is a glitch in the keyboard.

The @ key types " and vice versa.

Because the laptop was probably bought 1 to 3 years ago (and I don't know where from), I won't bother trying to fix it under warranty.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks in advance.

Answer:laptop keyboard types wrong symbols

You possibly have English UK/English U.S. problem.

On Task Bar where it say EN, right click and Settings
(if not there, Control Panel - Region and Language - Keyboards and Languages - Change Keyboards)
Click Add - Find the appropriate keyboard in the list.
Change Default input language above to new language you have added
Remove the old one below box (Installed Services)

I have an Acer Chromebook and recently spilled some water on it.  In my panic, I quickly wiped down the keyboard and all was still well and working.  I noticed then that whenever I tried to type anything, completely different letters or numbers or random symbols would show up.  I'm guessing that as I wiped down the keys and pressed them down at once, it did something to change the keyboard.  And to add to this problem, I can't even sign into my laptop as it's password protected, and I can't type my password in correctly.  Is this something that I can fix myself easily?

Answer:Keyboard types wrong letters, numbers, symbols, et...

Hi linscrawf,

Here is an article with 2 ways of performing a powerwash before signing into Chrome. http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27649

This should reset the device (removing any unsaved data) and any potential settings or key combo's that you may have it.

It still requires some keystrokes, but they shouldn't also intiate other keystrokes. If they are, or after performing the powerwash you still have this issue it would likely indicate that the liquid spill is affecting the circuity below and multiple keystrokes are being detected.

I hope this helps,Cory

How can I restore the usual setting?I have done a system restore, switched the laptop on and off. It has not restored the usual keyboard. I have tried all the function keys. Please could someone help me with a solution to restore the keyboard's usual settings. Thanks

Answer:Keyboard typing different keys from what it normally does

This just started suddenly? No spilling of any liquid or other "abuse" of the computer? It sounds to me like the keyboard gets the wrong signals - not even enabling num lock or anything of the kind should result in such behavior - the space bar, return and back key are all pretty much the same on all keyboard-types - unless you've installed some sort of key-remapper (which is highly unlikely, given you've done a system restore) - which makes me wonder - have you run a keyboard test from the BIOS/startup diagnostic? Most likely it's a shot keyboard, given that no abuse has taken place - run the diagnostic test on the keyboard, and see what turns up.

I have a Tecra A3 and are using it with a Microsoft Comfort keyboard. The problem is that ever since the keyboard drivers have been installed the function keys (i.e. Fn + F2 to change power mode) now carry out additional funcitons i.e Fn + F2 also brings up the My Pictures folder. The strangest on is turning the wirelss network card on or off with the switch on the front of the notebook. This has the additional effect of loading an extra copy of MS Outlook each time it is swithed.
I have the latest version of Microsoft IntelliType Pro (version 5.20.412.0)

Any idea on how to solve this?

Answer:Tecra A3 Keyboard Function keys and Microsoft Comfort Keyboard

Hi

Sorry but you have not explained do you have this problem now using notebook keyboard or external one.

If the problem persists using an external one I think that you can not use Toshiba FN+FX key combinations. Every external keyboard is specific one and in my opinion you should check user?s manuals and check also all additional functions. I am also pretty sure that you are able to configure some special keys on your own.

The issue with WLAN switcher is very strange. Try to remove Microsoft specific software and check if the functionality is like before.

I have the Gateway NE56R12u 15.6-Inch Laptop
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

A few drops of water was spilled onto my keyboard (I don't think the water got down into the laptop... as far as I could tell the water landed on top of the keys, but I could be wrong) and when I went to clean it, I didn't think ahead and turn it off before cleaning up the spill. So many keys were pressed and now the keyboard is not functioning correctly. When I press the majority of the keys, they will either add other letters/symbols, or they will trigger Windows shortcuts.

As an example..
B = "B (it also brings up the right click menu) (this will also bring up this: Ä symbol as well as times)
O = 7i7o0
L = *L{YK

M = HM

k= yk*

j = brings up googlechrome downloads

i = takes curser to the start of the text

The space key types b ' and brings up the right click menu.

7 brings up the "open file" shortcut

and so on

Hi,

Many laptop keyboards have a section which can be used for numeric data entry only.

These keys are normally just a block of the main QWERTY keyboard and accessed by using a Function key.

I have a Equium L-20, just bought it and every so often it is missing characters while typing, these are random, it isn?t as if certain keys are sticking can go through and type the alphabet and every 2 or 3 times it will miss letters or characters out as if I hadn?t pressed the keys, also the space bar can miss now and again.

Would this be a keyboard fault or software, it?s kind of got me puzzled and almost to point of returning it for a replacement.
During this short post it missed 4 letters out, had to check it and fill in the blanks

Answer:Equium L-20: Keyboard random keys not typing

Hi

Well, I have read some topics about the similar issues in this forum and I think it?s not a keyboard drive problem. In my opinion it?s something wrong with the keyboard hardware or with the cable connection.
I think the best way is to contact the ASP for the detailed informations. If the warranty is valid, all replacements will be done for free.

This has been happening every other day for me recently where I will be typing and my keyboard will randomly start typing the wrong letters or pressing certain keys will open the menu bar, but my computer to sleep or just type completely random letters. I've googled it once before and found that I should change the settings in control panel > regional and language settings which worked for me once but lately it doesn't.

I've even purposely added a foreign language and then re added my normal one (UK) but hasn't helped, it was already on the proper settings anyway. The last two times it has happened was on the night and left my keyboard unplugged, the next day I plugged my keyboard back into the tower while the computer was still loading up and it has been working fine now and did the same again last night. I don't know why it does this? Also google suggested a FN key but my keyboard doesn't have one.

My mother's computer started having issues with the keyboard, recently. I'll say it how i see it, but obviously, i might be missing something.

When typing the letter q on the keyboard, "qt" comes up. w and e are fine, r types "re". This happens with two different keyboards. I brought by my (this) keyboard, and it worked fine, but i only tried for a minute. On her computer, i tried both a ps2 and usb keyboard (native for both, no adapters).

Right now, if i try to login, when i click on a user, it fills in the password field (as if there was a stuck key) and tells me the caps lock is on. Capslock button does turn it off, but it did not look like backspace was doing anything. The bios did not complain of a stuck button. Safe mode (i happened to try with networking) has the same issue. No issue using the keyboard before windows loads.

Using teamviewer from my computer to hers is tough. I can hit capslock with sometimes works, keys sometimes work and sometimes don't, if it types in two letters, i can use the mouse to highlight one (to overwrite) when continuing. With a lot of effort and time i can login. Clicking icons on the desktop does not work, from the start menu does.

I tried hitting the helper menu to get the on screen keyboard for logging on. The first time i tried, it came up and worked. Now the button doesn't do anything.

Answer:Keyboard typing wrong letters

Just tried again via TeamViewer. I can delete in the password field, but it acts as if there is a stuck key. (This is different than the last time i tried.) Dear all, I recently purchansed Lenovo Z500. It has been great but I have had some key board problems. When I browse the Internet or doing some work on Word, the keyboard doesn't let me type. Instead the buttons do other functions, like minimizing or maximizing the current window when I need to type something. It seems like everytime I restart the Windows, it solves the problem. Is there any other way to fix it, or is there a special button I don't know? Or is there a complete list of key functions? I know the function key combination listed in the link below pg29. But they don't help me solve the problem.http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_z500p500_hmm_1st_edition_sep_2012_english.pd...  Please advice, Baha

Well about a week ago my laptop keyboard started to act funny when I tired to backspace random signs, or random actions would happen, when I tried to use the space bar it wouldn't give me a space it might give me a d or a / or c, n and when I pressed enter it wouldn't work either then a few days ago the letters started not to work either. They all started to do random things like H might disconnect my Internet or it might Brighton the screen and I have tried every single thing I read about and nothing sometimes my keyboard works perfectly fine and sometimes it gets crazy, I scanned my laptop to see if it was a virus but nothing, I looked to see if it was the keyboard not working but the computer said that the devise was working perfectly fine. Answer:keyboard on laptop typing wrong letters

That is most likely a virus, you need to run a full scan with your antivirus and make sure it isn't compromised. I would also recommend you move this to the malware forum, then you will get it touch with people that are certified to help you with this.

Did you set your keyboard language to US or UK.
Go into the control panel and click Regional and Language Options, click the Languages tab, click Details button, then check in the box to make sure English (United Kingdom) and under Keyboard you have United Kingdom. If this is what you prefer.

Hi there, and thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer! This problem is really frustrating because I have important things I need to do asap and I am prevented from doing them.

EDIT: It seems the problem is exclusive to Firefox... I never use IE so I didn`t think to check until now, but yup, it`s just Firefox.

The problem is my keyboard. I was just posting in a discussion forum and going to hit the square bracket again to quote someone. But I think I hit something at the same time as pressing that key, as I was going for the A key but instead I hit around the shift key. So I think I hit the square bracket key plus the shift key or something around there, at once. Or perhaps a combination of three keys.. or perhaps this has nothing to do with the problem at all.. or for all I know I have a virus (although I have been scanning a lot lately and all seems clean). And now here is the problem:

right square bracket gives me nothing if I press it once, and if I press it twice: łł

Hi

In my opinion you can careful try to remove the key-tops from your problem keys and check if something causes a malfunction.
If all looks ok you should to contact a Toshiba Service Partner for checking the keyboard.
Maybe you have to change just single keys.

Hi,

In my Toshiba Tecra A11 PTSEOU-08904L model, some of the keys in keyboard were not working, intially only a,6 key were not working. But now around 12 keys were not working.

When i press any of these keys i hear a only beep sound and nothing happens.
Even i cannot see the bios menu at the computer startup like " press f2 for boot menu ".

Is there anything to do with the bios for this issue?
i tried updating the bios , but the setup failed saying, incompatible bios. please help

Thanks,

Answer:Tecra A11 PTSEOU: Some keyboard keys not working

BIOS? Why BIOS?
I guess its hardware problem and you will need to replace the internal keyboard.

Just to confirm the keyboard issue: you could connect external USB keyboard.
In case the external keyboard would work properly, the issue is related to internal keyboard.

Hello Bleeping Computer people!

Computer with the problem is a desktop. HP Pavilion Model number a4327c-b. Windows 7.

My problem: Keyboard keys unexpectedly stop tying text and instead, pressing a key, activates a function.

For example typing the F key opens the File menu. Tested with a second keyboard and had the same problem.  Problem started unexpectedly, without warning. Problem occurs when surfing the web and playing free online games at MSN and other popular sites.

Mouse works. Norton Security Suite working.

Temporary fix: Opened the On Screen Keyboard and pinned it to Task Bar. Opening and minimizing the On Screen Keyboard fixes the problem for a few minutes but then the problem reoccurs. Problem seems to reoccur when surfing the web and playing free online games at MSN and other popular sites.

Descriptions: Of how the problem effects these programs:

Outlook: Can’t open New Message. When forwarding an email can’t address it or type text. Keyboard keys act as if they are function keys. For example typing F opens the File Menu. Other keys open other Outlook functions/menus.

Word 2007: Can’t type in a Document. Type F key and Office Button opens.  Other keys activate other Word functions.

Internet Explorer: In all Search boxes, can’t type. F key opens File menu. Other keys effect other menus.

Thank you for any help you can provide,
Craig

However languages changes quickly become "unlocked".
How do I fix this problem?

Advice please.
Thanks, Mike

Answer:Tecra A9 - Keyboard "unlocks" and wrong characters are typed

Hi

To be honest I have no idea what you are talking about.
If your keyboard layout does not match with the keyboard language, then you should change this and should add new language.

In such case you will be able to switch between languages using the shortcuts SHIFT+ALT

Of course you can also delete the other languages. In such case the SHIFT+ALT will not functions.

I tried FN+ F11 or F10 and I did nto work. What could it be?

Any help? Has anyone had the same problem?

Answer:Keyboard types wrong and weird characters on Tecra A2

Hi,

sounds like a serious hardware problem. You can try the following to check if just the internal keyboard is making some trouble or your machine is malfunctioning: just connect a external keyboard (ps2 or usb) and check if you got the same error.

But nowadays you should bring your machine to a local authorized service partner for a hardware checkup because I think that your keyboard is defective and the hardware components of your machine should be checked.

Here?s a link to find the nearest local service point:

Good luck

Hi, my Down Arrow key, Spacebar and  Backspace does not work as intended.
Down Arrow: Pressing it moves the cursor down at the same time inserts a space where it was in the beginning

Spacebar: Inserts space and brings the cursor down (only if characters are present below)

Backspace: Can not delete by long pressing but instead has to press every single time.
What could be the possible cause? Hardware or software? Can editing the registry bring about a solution?

Thank You

I type a few words in any program and then my Tecra A11 stops typing and there is no cursor or responsiveness until I click on the page I was typing on, reposition the cursor and I can then start typing again.

It's taken me several "clicks" to get this amount of text typed and this is driving me crazy. I can't seem to find why it is doing it.

Have you any ideas please?

Hello!

In my work computer (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit) I noticed a strange phenomenon. When I switch keyboard layout to Greek in order to type Greek in Google or elsewhere, it types strange symbols instead of the actual character! This happens in every website when I try to type data in a box or wherever else. If I write the text in Notepad or elsewhere and I copy-paste, it is OK. The problem is I cannot type directly in Greek. The keyboard produces symbols instead of Greek characters! This problem is only in IE 11, in Google Chrome I can type OK.

Please don't tell me to use another browser! Give me a solution. It might be some setting since I don't have this problem at home (see my specs).

Thank you.

Answer:Symbols instead of Greek text when typing in a box IE 11

After examining carefully all settings, I wasn't sure if the advanced settings were correct or screwed. So I decided to reset the advanced settings to default. This did the trick. It could be something with UTF8, but not sure. Resetting to default cancelled any wrong setting and now it works OK.

PS: I didn't change anything else, only reset the advanced settings to default. That's for anyone having the same issue.

Hi there!I have an IBM ThinkPad laptop (lenova T61) and I have a weird problem (unfortunately it comes and goes randomly, too!!)  The numbers at the top of the keyboard get stuck like I am pressing "shift" but I am not.  So if I type an "8" it actually comes out as a "*" and if I type a "5" it comes out as a "%".  If I press SHIFT I can get to the 8 and the 5 and whatever I need --- but I do a lot of accounting at work and this is a real pain!! Also if I type a ? I don't need to press SHIFT (if that makes sense, because it's like the SHIFT key is already pressed).  I have been searching and searching but I can't find the answer anywhere for how to fix this!!  Is there a SHIFT LOCK button I need to be depressing?  Help please!  This is driving me insane!!!

Answer:Shift Key stuck? Numbers on top typing as symbols

There are options for locking the shift key and the process is different for different operating systems. They are under something like accessibility options. in win7 start/all programs/accessories/ease of access. They are very useful if you are typing with a mouth stick. If I remember correctly, in XP, if you held down the shift key for 8 seconds, it would lock. I learned this the hard way while typing and trying to figure out the right word. I used to rest my hand on the keyboard.

Hello

My Satellite L550 laptop has the same keyboard problem than L670 series. More than often, some keys don't function, always the same: 1 6 a d s g j... When this problem occurs I can type using a second key as shift or space bar.

On L670 series this has been fixed by new BIOS but on L550 what could I do?

Sometimes it works properly but I need always to type slowly however it goes wrong...

Thanks a lot for a solution

Sorry for my poor English

Answer:Missing symbols when typing fast on my Satellite L550

> More than often, some keys don't function, always the same: 1 6 a d s g j... When this problem occurs I can type using a second key as shift or space bar.

To be honest it?s not known to me that the L550 would be affected by the same keyboard issue as the L670.
Did you test this notebook behavior using an external USB keyboard?
Do that?

If the same issue would not be available using the second external USB keyboard, then this means that the BIOS is ok and the internal keyboard is affected.

The "United States-International" keyboard layout option is supposed to let you type accents by pressing the right-alt key at the same time as ' " ~ ` or ^ followed by the letter you want to accent. For some reason on my computer the right-alt key does not work for this purpose, but left-alt and left-shift do. Unfortunately this is conflicting with all sorts of things so I really need to figure out how to get it to work with the right-alt key as it is supposed to. I have no idea what could be causing this problem so I don't know what other information to include. Any idea how to get this working properly for me?

I am writing this on another computer instead of the one that has the problem:On the computer with the problem typing the number keys e.g.  12345  preduces [email protected]#$% .......This happens regardless of wheither or not the shift key is pressed.ALSO, the : ;  key and < , keys will produce ONLY the top characters.

Answer:Number Keys will write symbols ONLY

On a Desktop that means you have to get another keyboard. On a laptop you can attempt to clean the keyboard. But may be the caps lock key is stuck.

Hi, I have a Lenovo Z50-70 laptop that's not even one year old yet, and the number keys on the top row and in the numlock pad area stopped working all of a sudden. Everything was working fine until yesterday when I tried to enter my password to get onto my computer and it wouldn't let me enter the whole password, it would only let me type in part of the password but not any numbers. Finally after a lot of trying I was able to type in the whole password using the onscreen keyboard. Now no number keys work on my keyboard and it's not letting me type in any of the symbols/special characters that are above the numbers either. Also the screen brightness control keys on the keyboard don't work at all either. What can I do to fix these problems so I can type regularly again without having to use the on screen keyboard all the time?I am not a super-ultra-tech-savvy user, however I read a lot of other articles and I tried changing the language and keyboard settings, I tried to see if the driver needed to be updated but it said it was already up to date, I tried holding down the ctrl alt and fn keys for a while as was suggested in another article, but none of those things helped at all. Please help me to fix this problem, I never had this happen to me ever before. I really appreciate your time and consideration, and thank you very much.-A really frustrated user

Answer:Z50-70 - Number keys, symbols not working, only 5 and 6 can be typed

Hi frustrateduserf,

Welcome to the Community Forums,

Best to isolate if this is a software issue (within windows) or a hardware problem or hardware settings.

1. Have you tried System restore It would just be jumping to a previous date and not be losing any files , for as long as you don't have anything encrypted.

2. If it's a hotkey issue . Try turning off the computer and turn on using the Novo key (left side page 9) , choose BIOS set up and under configuration tab/ security , change Hotkey Mode (lowest) to enabled , Then Exit tab to save and exit (F10)

Restart the computer and see if special key works.

3. Try going back to the BIOS and go to security tab ,

NOTE: just for testing purpose , do not save , Try to type with a special key .
Will it work? Do not save just press the power button down to turn off pc.
4. Try going to BIOS again and on Exit tab and Load optimal defaults then save and exit.

Test it with an external USB keyboard too if available.  .
Update us how it goes .

Regards,

After umpteen BSOD's I've discovered my PC has the error "Kernel Symbols are Wrong".

Can anyone tell me how to debug this issue to find the culprit. I have "Debuggin Tools for Windows" installed.

I would be so appreciative.

The computer is a HP Pavilion 15-N008AX Laptop
OS: Windows 10 64bit pro (upgraded when released). Upgraded from windows 8.1
Age: about 1 year and 8 months.
CPU: 2.1Ghz AMD A10-5745M
Video: amd radeon hd 8610g + 8500m dual graphics

Not quite sure what the problems is. It has happened the 2nd time this month. I've ran a memory test but I'm having a feeling it might be my video driver. Not quite sure. Laptop has been just repaired last month for a faulty motherboard (replaced now). Laptop is still under extended warranty.

Hello,

I am new here and have a problem troubleshooting a dump file/
This client pc is allready having this problem a few years now.
Now and then It works fine for a couple of days and then it reboots every day twice or even more.
I wanted to check the dump file but I get a massage that the symbols aren't correct.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is and some links to the right topic?
I allready saw that a few guys here can read this file when added as an atachment.
I would be thankfull if some did this for me because that will give me the chance to solve this problem.

Answer:Debug file and wrong symbols

Minidumps are only as good as a technician is at troubleshooting computers. BSOD's are caused by memory, hard drive, and driver problems... and sometimes program conflicts... Have you looked at this and followed the simple instructions?
