Preferred Solution: Error message - Toshiba flash cards doesn't react

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Error message - Toshiba flash cards doesn't react

Toshiba Flash Card Utility controls the Fn buttons.
You should check and if necessary should disable and enable the Flash Card in Programs\Toshiba\Flash Card utility

If this will not help, reinstall the Flash Card Support Utility again.

Hi all.

Hardware: Toshiba Tecra S5-14R
I have a problem with Toshiba Flash Cards software.
When it starts I've received an error "R6025 - pure virtual function call", and then the microsoft alert that Toshiba Flash Cards software stopped working

I'm using Windows Vista Business 32 bit OS, and I've downloaded new version of Toshiba Flash Cards software (v.2.00.05), but it doesn't solve the problem.

Could somebody help?

Answer:Tecra S5-14R: Toshiba Flash Cards stops working: Runtime Error R6025

It seems that this error is known to the Microsoft support people and therefore they have published a knowledge base article.
Such error appears also if you would run the software ?Microsoft Money?.

Please try the steps described here:
[Runtime Error: "R6025 -Pure virtual function call"|]

I would recommend doing this:

1. Disable the Flash cards
2. Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
3. At the command prompt, type the following lines one at a time, and then press ENTER after each line:
- regsvr32 softpub.dll
- regsvr32 wintrust.dll
- regsvr32 initpki.dll
- regsvr32 dssenh.dll
- regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
- regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
- regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
- regsvr32 sccbase.dll
- regsvr32 slbcsp.dll

4. Enable the Flash Card Utility again

Wondering if anyone can help me.

I recently just rebooted my Satellite A200-195.

I found that my flash cards for my ?FN? hotkey function buttons have disappeared and do not pop up on top of the screen anymore.
However I am able to press the other function buttons on the keypad F1 - F8, part from the one that enables the mouse?F9?.

I have already uninstalled and installed the Value Added Package, Flash support utility and even tried to update the Bios but it seems my Bio is already the newest version.
After all this I seem to be able to enable my mouse pad ?F9? but my other function buttons are not working anymore and the flash cards still are not appearing like they use to.
Is there anything I can do to get my flash card to pop up back on screen without having to set my laptop back to factory default?

Answer:Satellite A200-195: TOSHIBA Flash Cards "black and white cards" not working

Have you tried to restart Flash cards?
Start > All programs > Toshiba > Utilities > Restart Flash cards.

What you can also try is to install ?Flash cards support utility? if you can find it on Toshiba download page.

Hi there.
Like to first off apologise if this is the wrong place to post this topic, but put it down to been new here and the fact that at this point I'm tearing my hair out!!!...
Just recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4427, which runs Vista Premium, and in the main I'm pretty pleased with it.
No major least none that don't resolve themselves eventually.
This was however not until I noticed that my Toshiba Flash Card, which host the hot keys and some computer functions and which should drop down only when you point your cursor at the top of the screen, developed a mind all of its own and from time to time decided to make an unsolicited apperance and drop down without been prompted!
As it usually happens when I have just finished clicking on something or touched my mouse, I thought it might have something to do with the external optical mouse I was using so off I went to buy another one but of course the darn thing still does the same thing with the new mouse.
I have found a way to disable the flash cards, but I would rather be able to make use of them rather than turning the fuction off completely because of the annoying 'drop down'.
Someone mentioned to me that it may be a conflict between a program I've installed since getting the computer and the flash card program, but as itunes is the only major add-on I have installed, I wonder!?!...
Could this be another classic case of vista gone bad, or is there something else?

Hi, essejyar, and welcome to the forums.

Can you give us a picture of the *exact* error message, or else write down what it is saying exactly?

As far as multiple user environment, sorry, XP and Vista are both built on the NT kernel (and advances made to said kernel) which means they support multiple users by default. There are a couple of things you can do to make it less intrusive, like automating your login and such, and you can make it easier to use, like disabling UAC, but to protect you from your own self, I'd not recommend these at all.

I am a 20+ year veteran of using computers and I leave UAC on - because then I don't have to run Ad-aware and Spybot and Malwarebytes and Spywareguard and lock down my hosts file and all those other fun things you needed on XP to keep it relatively safe from intrusion and malware....

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question. Is there any way that I can have the animation at the top of my screen turned off and STILL have the function keys functional? When I'm running multiple programs and/or on battery power, it takes forever for the animation to pop out and it's just an annoyance. Anything to fix it? Any other software to make them functional? Or any upgrades?

My system is Windows Vista, just in case someone wants to know.

I'm working on a friend's Toshiba Satelite L775-S7307. I've reformatted it, put on a shiny new copy of Windows 7 64bit, and installed many of the drivers required to run the hardware.

Now out of the blue, immediately when I turn on the computer, a window titled "TOSHIBA Flash Cards" pops up saying "Win8-TestVersion". You can then click OK or Cancel, both which do nothing more than close the window.

I did a search for the Flash Cards program on the computer but couldn't find anything and I have no idea how to get rid of it.

I've attached a picture of the screen immediately after being booted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Origin of Toshiba Flash Cards?

Might be the card reader driver for the laptop. Chances are, Windows Update automatically installed what it thought was the right driver and ended up trying the Windows 8 one instead.

Go to Device Manager and see if you can see anything about the card reader there?

Answer:Toshiba flash cards don't response

I assume you are an owner of the notebook with the Vista OS. The Toshiba Flash card is preinstalled software which controls visually the FN buttons.

The Toshiba flash cards are placed at the upper display edge. Usually they are not visible but if you will move the courser over this display area the Flash Cards should appear.

I don?t know why the message appears saying the Toshiba flash cards do not response.
Maybe a reinstallation could helps.

Hi, everyone,

there may be a thread about this, but i could not find it.

I have the following problem: after the lat uptade from Microsoft (I believe the Fall Uptade...) everytime I try to shut the laptop down or restart it, I get the notification on the screen that Toshiba Flash Cards is preventing the computer from shutting down. I get two options - to cancel shutdown or force it. I tried turning the FN keys off from star up settings. However it did not help.

Has anybody ever had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I don't want to loose the FN keys, but i don't want to force a shutdown everytime either.

So any ideas?

You can set it back if something will go wrong?.

After this short procedure you could check in task manager if the Tcrdmain.exe was disabled and if the notebook runs trouble free.

I've done some searching and it seems that both KeNotify.exe (Toshiba/Utilities) and TCrdMain.exe (Toshiba/Flashcards) are responsible for managing the Fn keys.

Could anyone please explain what each does separately, and what functionality will I loose if I remove them from startup?

Thanks a lot!

Answer:What does the Toshiba Flash Cards / KeNotify Application controls?

From my knowledge the Flash Cards (visual FN button row at the top of the screen) appears pressing if one of the FN + F1-F9 key combination would be pressed.
If you remove both tools, I assume that this visual menu would not appear anymore and you will lose the FN button functionality.

But you can test this just for testing proposes without deleting both entries.
In search type msconfig. In msconfig choose Startup tab and here uncheck both exe files. Save the changes and reboot the unit.

If you want to get back these processes, access the Startup tab again and enable both processes once again.

The Windows 7 is very similar to the Vista and many drivers could and would run with Windows 7 but in very rare cases some tools would be not fully compatible?

Toshiba Flash Cards crashes on Vista when windows is set to use the "windows standard" colour scheme under appearance settings, (for your information, I prefer to use this mode as vista runs quicker, uses less battery power and less system ram in this mode).

However it does not crash immediately, instead it seems to crash whenever I rotate the screen (which happens quite often as I?m using a tablet pc) with the previous version of the software it crashed on boot however that seems to have been rectified with this version although not completely, however when it crashes it will not fully close even if i force task manager to end the process (rather than just the task).

My toshiba is Satellite U300 model no. PSU30C-TP908C with windows vista installed

I am getting into a big trouble for some reason, all the keys from "F1~F12" are malfunctioned. When i press them, they do not work as what its suppose to do, instead they all became the functions that you would have when you press them while holding the "Fn" key. So, now if i press F1, I actually get a compter locked instead of casting the help window. Pressing "U,I,O,J,K,L,M" would print out numbers, but if you turn "ON" the numberpad by pressing "F11"(note that i could do it without holding Fn), these keys will return to normal. Space bar does not work no matter what you do. The numbers "1,2" above "Q,W" does not work either.

Another thing i found out is that when i try to open the accessibility tools in the toshiba utility. It says "This system does not support this program".

I have tried to find updates to these utilities, but i could not find the ones suitable for my toshiba. I went to the toshiba support page, click on download and it prompts me to select my toshiba laptop and model number. However, from the list of toshiba satellite U300, there is only 3 models and none of them is PSU30C-TP908C. I did not know which one is compatible with my model, so i gave up finding the updates.

Normally you can find all drivers on the Toshiba Canada page for your notebook: => Support => Mobile Computing

For the FN keys on Windows you need the Value Added Package. You can find it on the Toshiba website. Remove the old version and restart the notebook. Then use CCleaner to clean the registry and then install the version.

But be honest if you can?t go in the BIOS because with F2 I think it?s a keyboard malfunction and this has nothing to do with the Toshiba tools.
In your case I would test an external keyboard? So you can determine if it?s an internal keyboard problem or not.

Good luck!

What driver I need?

The operating system is Windows 8.1 Pro and laptop Toshiba Portege Z930-108

Answer:Re: Portege Z930-108 - FN key doesn’t show flash cards

If you use Win8.1 you can use Functional kez on two ways and change two modes:
-special function mode
-standard F1-F12 mode

There is one difference. When you use special function mode you can use F keys only. With standard mode you must use FN+Fx key combination.

Flash cards that you can see at the top of the screen works with Vista or Win7 only. As far as I know since Win8 flash cards are not shown on the top of the screen anymore.

I am using windows 7 ultimate x64 on L500-126, the new win7 x64 drivers have been available since yesterday.....

However, the Flash cards (Fn Hotkeys) still doesn't work after the installation of the new VAP. The flash cards is able to show up at the top of my screen, I can click them by mouse, but the Fn combinations does not work at all!

I've noticed that there is a downloadable driver called "Flash Cards support", even I installed this application the problem still remained.

Then I uninstalled VAP and kept "Flash Cards support", to my surprise, the combination of Fn+F6 and F7 (Adjusting brightness) worked! however, without VAP I could not use other combinations.

Are there still problems with the new VAP for win 7 x64?

P.S. The new "Hardware setup" seems to be a problem as well, I tried to change some configurations in this application but after re-boot all the options went back.

First, make sure that your power management options in Windows are setup to allow the machine to go into standyby mode.  In WinXP, there is something under Advanced in Power Options in the Control Panel.  Other software may also be overriding Windows Power Management

I used to logg in via fingerprint reader (windows 10) without any problems, now the fingerprint reader doesn't react any longer when I draw the finger. I somehow managed to delete all passwords in the password manager (not even sure about this as I actually don't understand how all the components work together) hoping that this would solve the problem. Not the fingerprint reader software keeps asking me to register a new finger. Everything seems to work out fine (I can choose a finger to be registered, type in my windowns password) untill I'm being asked to draw the finger over the fingerprint reader: Nothing happens! The indicator which shows how much of the finger has been scanned doesn't show anything at all. Looks like the software works, but the fingerprint reader itself is dead. However, looking into the system information the 'TouchStrip Fingerprint Sensor' (WBF advanced mode) seems to work correct. Please help. I have not a clue how to find out what goes wrong here.

Hello TheYoda and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I do not see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. There are a couple of housekeeping items we can fix so let's do that while you are here.Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2520BA45-3D97-4864-82FF-F47F951727BA} - (no file)O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9B053E00-78D3-47AE-B763-60FF36FF2886} - (no file)O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {42CDD1BF-3FFB-4238-8AD1-7859DF00B1D6} - (no file)Now close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair.Other than that you are good to go.The is a part of Akamai which is a worldwide content provider used by, well, just about everyone with downloadable content. I can't say why they might be pinging your machine but maybe it was to verify that a connection was still available. Hard to say. At some point in time during each day anyone who is on the internet probably interacts with an Akamai server simply by browsing on the web and the odds go way up if anything is downloaded from any website (including MS updates).Cheers.OT

I have got an all-in-one printer (HP PSC 1315, version 1.0 - software dating back from 2004 or 2005). Now, I have a strange problem with it. When I double-clicked on the HP Director icon, nothing happened. Tried several times. Nothing. Restarted computer, and still nothing. The scanning software still works, but I have to scan via HP Image Zone and can't access the main options/menu of HP Director.
I checked the computer for spyware and viruses, and it's clean.
Could it have something to do with having downloaded Internet Explorer 7? I can't see how that would fit in, though.
Finally, I tried to see if the printer/scanner needed an update (which it most likely does), but the update-checking on Hewlett Packard's website didn't work out (it scanned my printer/scanner and then the icon saying that there are errors with displaying the page popped up on the left hand bottom corner, and the page remained blank...)
Any suggestions?

Answer:Fingerprint reader doesn't react any more while software seems to work (Thinkpad E530 Windows 10)

HelloI just found out what was the problem with my computer. You need to set up a PIN in the account sign in. Go to control panel, select user accounts, then select "Make changes to my account in PC settings".There you select "Sign-in options".Probably you have not set up a PIN. Then do it. After the PIN is set up, you get access to the next step after PIN, which is "Windows Hello". There you activate the Fingerprint part and it asks you to swipe your finger several times. You can also swipe more fingers if you want other people to get access to your account. After this is done, your finger print reader will work.

Hi ,
Just wondering, is it my luck? that is the fourth flash memory SD card I try for first use and it gives me memory card error right after inserting it , I used to devices for reading: card reader in my HP officejet printer and Canonpowershot camera.
Cards are:
Patriot signature class 4 4gb
Kingston class 4 8gb
Kingstion micro sd with adapter
last one today Transcend class 10 8gb
I have a old kingston 2 Gb still working fine in the camera and in the HP printer.
I tried all the recovery software I could find to try to format it but the cards are not recognized.
I insert the cards unlocked for first use to format them at first but I can't reach this stage since I have memory card error right away.
I don't know what to do, I find it ridiculous to continue buying cards that won't work.
Any suggestions, ideas would be appreciated.

Hi everyone!

I don't know how, but I have a problem when my windows Vista starting (running)
The problem is with those file TCrdMain.exe That file is for Flash cards, end running each time when I put my PC on (with starting windows). But I see that problem: "Run time error file TCrdMain.exe", and I should click close.
I don't know where can I uninstall that program, and where, can I find that driver(Software) ( If I uninstall and then install that driver, maybe everything will be OK). That's the main problem.

And One other question...
There are so many programs with that computer(laptop), and If I want to install Windows XP for example, where can I find everything (each programs) There are maybe 10 or 15 pograms.

That will be a big problem If I change my OS. Is there a site where I can download, everything....
Thanks for the answers, nd sorry about my english skills :-)
Best wishes from Bulgaria, and have a nice day!

Did you install the right BIOS for the right OS?
You should know that Vista uses an different BIOS as the Windows XP!

Anyway, did you try to reinstall this Toshiba Flash Card Utility?
Please do this.

Firstly you should reinstall the Toshiba Common Modules and then the Flash Card Utility. Both programs can be found in the Toshiba Value added package.

I have had this laptop for some years and it has worked well. In the last few days I have been unable to log on. Initially there is a black screen with wording Press F2 for Set Up Press F12 for boot device.

States Operating system not found.

After a short while a box appears stating system error 0201 Failure 1DE#0. I have seen advice for running a scan to rectify this problem, but have no idea what to do on the PhoenixixBIOS Setup Utility page.

Is there anything I can do or is it a repair job?

Thanks Brian

Answer:Cannot log on my Toshiba SM30-107 Error Message

Your hard drive has gone bad... likely the magnetic media is peeling off the first eight sectors of the hard drive. You still have a chance to recover a lot of the data by installing it as a slave in an external enclosure on a USB cable.
You can do the work yourself if you have the original install disks. Buy a new drive (,,,,,,, or other of your choice) Figger out if your drive is an EIDE, PATA, ATA, or SATA, then get a replacement that matches... but you can now get a much larger drive... up to 250 or 330 GB if you wish... It has to be either a SATA or an EIDE-PATA-ATA.
Your recovery-restore disk will reformat it... but if you restore disk is Service Pack 0, 1, or 1a, you will only be able to format fully a drive of 137 GB or smaller. Then download about 136 updates from Microsoft Updates, and reinstall all your software... then recover your data from the defective drive.

Presto, you are a technician.

Answer:installing xp on toshiba laptop error message

Welcome to TSF!

I suspect your XP disk is either SP1 or no SP. You need at least SP2 to install on systems with a PCI-Express bus.
You can also get this error with some Cardbus Compact Flash controllers (memory cards). SP2 or later should fix that as well.

You can slipstream SP2 or SP3 into a new CD using nLite or AutoStreamer
nLite Guides
How to use AutoStreamer to Slipstream Windows XP Service Pack 2

You may also need the SATA driver for the laptop SATA controller or XP Setup will not be able to see the hard drive. You can slipstream the driver as well. I don't see the driver on the Toshiba Website though.
Other options are
Change the BIOS setting for the SATA controller from AHCI to ATA/IDE/Legacy (wording varies).
If you have a Floppy drive, you can provide the driver on a Floppy Disk as in this guide:
How Do I Install Windows XP On A SATA Hard Drive

The Toshiba should have some kind of Factory Recovery built in to restore the system to the same state as when it shipped.
According to the User Guide (page 61) you Press and hold the 0 (zero) key on your keyboard while powering on the computer.
The User Guide can be found on the Toshiba Web site. Enter you model information there, and click the User's Guide tab.

I recently updated Vista to Service Pack 2 from SP1 and now I'm getting an error message when I try to use Toshiba Disc Creator "Unexpected error occurred. Error Code 32007C-26-00000001" It worked perfectly before.

This is the first time I've used it since updating so I think SP2 may be part of the problem but I'm not sure. I couldn't find any updates for TDC. My system is a Satellite L305-S5919 with Vista 32 bit.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing the error?

Answer:Error message when trying to use Toshiba Disc Creator

Have you tried to roll back OS to earlier time and check functionality again, just to be sure it has something to do with SP2 installation?

I don?t know if anyone here can offer some solution but I?m pretty pessimistic about that and don?t think Toshiba will offer new version.
As far as I know Toshiba disc creator was always offered with recovery image only and not as downloadable application.

I have a Toshiba laptop that when turned on in normal mode, right after I pick the user goes to a BSOD with the following error  IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL  then below says  0x0000000A (oxFF1701F0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804D9B64).  The specs on the laptop are Toshiba Satellite A55-S326  Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 512 MB RAM, XP Home SP3.  Part of the time if I go into safe mode I can get in and part of the time it gives the same error message as when going into normal mode.  Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?  Thanks.

Answer:toshiba laptop IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error message

More often than not that error is the result of bad or conflicting drivers. I'd suggest you download all of the current drivers from the Toshiba website and reinstall them (install the chipset driver first). Also see if there is a bios update available for your system. Then reboot and let's see what happens.

Hi guys! My wife is having a problem with her laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite C660 running Windows 7. It was working fine earlier, but out of the blue it decided to restart itself - or try to - but now it gets no further than the screen you see below:

After a bit of Googling i'm lead to believe it's something to do with the hard drive not being detected? I don't know, i'm not technical enough to understand this stuff. I found this video and removed and reinserted the hard drive (after blowing about inside) but no luck... that usually solves everything!

Please advise! Thanks for any help anyone can offer

I solved a similar problem with one of my computers, but the computer that I use almost all of the time is not working. When I turn it on, it gives me the choices to start in Safe Mode or start normally. When I go with either choice, it flashes with the blue screen of death, then disappears, and it restarts itself and goes through the same process. This is the error that comes up on the screen:

STOP: 0x000000ED

I do not have my recovery CD that I need. Is there a way to download a recovery method that does not make me lose all of my information on my C drive?

If you have a solution or any ideas on what to do to solve this problem, please let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Hello everyone! Just the other day I tried to turn on my laptop and a message came up saying IDE #0 error and then says media test failure, check cable. What do I do? I'm not sure what to do because I have a lot of important stuff on my laptop that I need to get off. Please help!

Answer:I keep getting a IDE #0 error message coming up on my Toshiba a45-s121 laptop

Let's try to get you into "Safe Mode" first. (I suspect it may not work, but let's try it anyway.)
Turn your system off,
wait a few seconds,
then turn it back on and immediately hit the f8 key.
If we are lucky this will get us to a black screen with the option to enter safe mode.
Select safe mode, and see if it will boot to safe mode.

If it will, then I want you to run ChkDsk.
Double-click My Computer, and then right-click the hard disk that you want to check.
Click Properties, and then click Tools.
Under Error-checking, click Check Now. A dialog box that shows the Check disk options is displayed,
Use one of the following procedures:
To run Chkdsk in read-only mode, click Start.
To repair errors without scanning the volume for bad sectors, select the Automatically fix file system errors check box, and then click Start.
To repair errors, locate bad sectors, and recover readable information, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box, and then click Start.

Note If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message:

The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer?Click to expand...

You might have to contact toshiba and see if theres recovery/restore disks available for your model of computer with the correct operating system it came with.if the recovery disk is corrupted i dont think copying it to another dvd will work. because you will just be transferring the file with the problem to another disk and it still wont boot right.

Hi, Since I installed flashplayer last week (after youtube quit working) I have gotten a popup error message reading "can't find flash.ocx" -- it shows up about every 10 minutes. I tried to log onto trendmicro to run housecalls to check things out and as soon as that error message pops up, if I move the cursor at all (not clicking anything, just move the mouse) firefox shuts down. So far I've experimented with running a couple of online tools, and housecall is the only one that closes the browser.
Per my brother's advice I ran a registry tweak from softpedia, hoping things got cleaned up, but the darn thing showed up again this am. I'm not a complete novice but am not technical enough to know what to do to fix my box.

I am running AVG 7.5, spybot (just reinstalled) AdAware (also just reinstalled) in hopes I can make sure my box is clean. This all started because I bought an audio controller, and could not get it installed properly, then started having problems with audio and video. I'm about to suck it up and buy a Mac. That's desperate.

Answer:error message 'can't find flash.ocx'

Try unsinstalling flash using this uninstaller then re-install Flash again

Also do you have any non original microsoft screensavers installed if you do uninstall them or update them to latest ones, as a few of the older types can cause this error.

I have an ABIT KV-85 motherboard that may some problems. I've experienced them mainly in Windows but also during the bootup. I'm getting a "Verifying DMI Pool Data" hangup that lasts about 15 seconds. It's really annoying.

I've Googled on it and one person said it might be a corrupt BIOS. So I figured it could'nt hurt to at least try something, I thought I would flash my BIOS back to a not-so-current version and see if that helps. Actually it's one version less than the most current.

Anyway I booted up my Vista Basic x64 with the Windows 98 startup disk. It's the only way I know how to get to the A prompt! Once there I took out the startup disk and inserted the floppy with all of the files on it and selected runme. That's one way ABIT says I could do it.

The flash process started and I got all of the confirmation messages and such and it listed the .bin file that was to be flashed. Just right after it started erasing the previous BIOS, it stopped and an error message came up that said
"FlashROM is write protected" cannot proceed, or something like that. So I aborted and am left wondering what I did wrong or how do I fix it.

I should note that the awdflash that's on the floppy is a x64 version.

Thank you

Recently toshiba power saver stopped working - I removed it and redownloaded it from this website, now whenever I try to run the install i get a "unable to machine id" message and the install stops.

First time posting here so If i'm on the wrong forum or you need anything else apologies in advance.

Answer:Receiving error message when trying to install Toshiba Power Saver

Hi there,

where did you?ve downloaded the powersaver? Maybe you downloaded the wrong one for your machine. It?s absolutely important to download EXACTLY that software which fits your machine type.
When downloading stuff from toshiba websites you have to keep an eye on the version of your machine (e.g. Satellite A100-552 -> download the software for type "552" of the Satellite A100 series).

This sometimes resolves many errors and clarify some not very nice situations.
Please, more details on your problem. :)

On my P200-13k I have Toshiba Disk Creator installed.

When I launch it I receive few errors :

this error popup when I close it

The DVD writer is a TSST Corp CD/DVDW TS-L632D (TO04)

Any idea why ?

I didn't find anything with google about these errors nor on the toshiba knowledge base

Thanks by advance

Answer:Error message with TOSHIBA DISK CREATOR on Satellite P200-13k

I would suggest you to backup all your data and recover the machine. I am not sure why the error occurs or what the reason could be but usually this should be fixed by reinstalling the system with the recovery media (or HDD recovery) because the system is afterwards on factory defaults which should guarantee that the software works without any problems.

If the problem persists I would check the RAM memory, maybe it´s faulty and causes this errors.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8834, and tried to burn a CD using Toshiba Disc Creator v. But I kept getting an error message saying "Toshiba Disc Creator has stopped working." and couldn't successfully burn a CD. Though I contacted Toshiba tech support, I couldn't get useful info. Any tips would be appreciated.

Answer:Toshiba Disc Creator Has Stopped Working Error Message

Try removing and reinstalling Disc Creator. Install the latest version from the Toshiba site.

Also update the BIOS, and ensure you are using quality DVD discs such as TDK. No-name discs wear out easy and use cheap dye's.

Also try deleting the UpperFilters and LowerFilters:

While I am on facebook, playing their Scrabble game application, I keep getting a pop-up window which I have to click on either "dismiss all" or "continue". I don't know why it keeps happening, but when it appears, I usually click on the "dismiss all" button...I suppose I could just as easily click on the "continue" button, but since I don't know what it even means, I just flip a coin and click a button...anything to get rid of the window! A link to an image of the pop-up window is shown below.I have Win XP Home Ed 5.1 SP3 & Int Exp 8.I hope there is an explanation of this, and, more importantly, a solution...thank you!;id=1846471675

Answer:Adobe flash player error message

Looks like there might be a bug in the game. So other than contacting the developer, there may not be a solution. Try uninstalling Flash with the uninstall tool at this link and then reinstall and see if that helps.

I've recently installed Macromedia Flash MX 2004 with the idea of using as a tool for designing webpages. Everything was fine until I was asked to download Flash ActiveX 9.0 (which I already had) and I couldn't. I tried uninstalling Flash MX 2004 and then installing the ActiveX, but it was useless. Then I looked for help at Adobe site and I got the same results: nothing. I'm thinking that it can be some problem with the registry, because after installing Flash MX 2004 I was warned about a registry change by Scott Patrol (security program). If someone can help me, I would be grateful.

I have an A200-1AI (PSAECE) running Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate with 3Gb RAM and a TEAC DV-W28ECT Combi-Drive...

Everytime I try to create a DVD/CD or anytype of media using Disc Creator I get 6 or so Error messages :-

Unexpected Error Occured.

This error message appears 6 times when I run the software and select either Audio or Data option.
Then the normal file transfer window associated with the software followed by 6 more of the same error messages, and the software FAILS to burn anything..... When the software is closed it does so with 6 more error messages before closing...

The laptop came installed with Vista 32-Bit and I formatted the computer before installing Windows 7 64-Bit as a clean install....
No problems were encountered at anytime during this process, infact the laptop has been better than ever.... until now :)

I have previously had Roxio 10 installed as my burning software but I just couldn't get on with it so took it off in favour of Toshiba Disc Creator (As its FREE!!!)
Also Media Player and Windows itself burns CDs ok....

I can provide more info if required....

Answer:Satellite A200-1AI (PSAECE) Error message using Toshiba Disc Creator

Hi mate

May I ask you where did you get the Toshiba Disk Creator for the Win 7 64bit OS?
I checked the Toshiba European driver page and there is nothing in the Satellite A200 area.

In my opinion the error message appears because you are using software which is not compatible with the installed Win 7.

I am scanning to pdf and saving to flash drive. It was going fine but yesterday I received an error message that said, "An error occurred when writing to: (file name) Cannot create output file". When I try again, I get the same message. This happened about a month ago and I just started with a new flash drive and it seemed to work. I ran a check on the drive and there is plenty of space left and no problems with it. Help!

Hello all!

I am using windows 7 home premium 64 bit. So far no major problems and I really like the new operating system. I was looking in the even viewer and noticed that every time I plug in a usb flash drive, I get the following message.
"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR3".
The flash drive works just fine and there are no other apparent problems with the computer. Is this something I should be concerned with?

I have been having this issue for months now and i'm sick and tired with it..
Whenever I try to start the setting utility, i get the following message: Please install Toshiba System Driver First.

I have all the drivers and they are all up to date. I'm using Windows 8 on my Toshiba Satellite L850-1kt. I also tried this on Windows 8.1 and it has the same issue. Also it is impossible to uninstall The system settings utility, this gives me the following message: The Setup was intterupted.

Answer:Re: Satellite L850 - Toshiba system settings utlity starts with error message

Wait a moment. According notebook specification your notebook was offered with preinstalled Win8 64bit. When you use it with ?factory settings? everything should be OK.
> I'm using Windows 8 on my Toshiba Satellite L850-1kt.
Do you use original Win8 that you got with your notebook or your own version? Original version is tested and must work properly. Have you changed anything or removed from the system?

If possible reinstall original OS version (recovery image) and I?m sure everything will be OK.
