Preferred Solution: bluetooth pairs with a pair of Bluetooth headphone...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I've done everything but stand on my head and I cannot get the P50 and the Sony to see each other to pair. I use the headset everday at the gym with an iPod Nano with no problem. With the P50 I've tried "add a bluetooth device' and 'show bluetooth devices'. In neither instance does the Sony appear. Suggestion? Mark

Okay, I've been working on this for awhile and have tried a million things. I'm going back to square one so pretend I haven't tried anything yet.

Here is the problem.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.

When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not. After about 3 days with no ... Read more

Answer:Bluetooth does not Recognize/Pair/See Bluetooth Hardware

Probably Windows 10 replaced the original Bluetooth driver with Microsoft driver which doesn't work well, if at all. Go to manufacturer's site and download the Bluetooth driver. If there is no Windows 10 driver, use that of 8.1 This should fix your connectivity problems.

I am having difficulty to get my laptop paired with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. If I attempt to connect from the cell phone to my pc, a key code is asked for and needs be entered.

My question is how I can get this key code which needs be entered on the Bluetooth Device. On the laptop I navigated from Control Panel and to Bluetooth Devices, then clicked Add Wireless Device, but no device is detected even though the Bluetooth on the cell phone was turned on. Device Manager indicates drivers for the Bluetooth device are installed correctly.

Dell Latitude 6430 -  Windows 7 32-bit.
Bluetooth PAIRS with Bose AE2W headphones, but will not CONNECT.  I have updated all windows drivers via Dell support site, but no matter what I do, Windows still asks for "device drivers".  According to Bose tech, there are NO specific drivers needed for the AE2W.
Do not have any problems connecting AE2W to other BT devices, like iPhone, or iPad....so why will the Dell e6430 w/Windows 7 not CONNECT?

Have searched internet for solutions, but to no avail.  Most solutions seem to just be "guesses" --clearly intended to offer help, but many posters do not read all of the ACTUAL details...thus are inappropriate solutions.
Any real solutions are needed...prefer from Dell or Microsoft techs.

Hi, I have just reinstalled 7 on my Samsung laptop. It is 32bit system, an I installed 64 bit ultimate as I installed 4GB ram.

Now I can’t find any Bluetooth devices, and also when I pair my phone with it, and it shows

"A Bluetooth device is trying to connect, Click to allow this"

When I click it doesn’t have a popup to enter passkey.

Can anybody advise please? I have used windows update drivers, and then also drivers off Samsungs website for my laptop, just can’t seem to get it to connect at all.

I do have a second separate issue since I have reinstalled using ultimate N x64 see here also.

Cheers

Hi,

Hopefully this is the correct Forum !

I have a Microsoft Mouse 5000 and Wedge keyboard (the early one that does not fold).
Both have been working perfectly.

Recently I paired them both successfully with a new Samsung tablet, but when I came to use them again on my laptop,
I found that I could not pair either of them.

I have spent countless hours researching this without success.

Here's where I am now:

Settings > Bluetooth & other devices does not list either of them.
Device Manager > Bluetooth has both of them showing and reports both working properly.

Device Manager reports as follows:

Notebook Mouse 5000:
No driver files are required or have been loaded
The Events tab says that further installation is required

Wedge Mobile Keyboard:
No driver files are required or have been loaded
The Events tab says that further installation is required

The 2 Service Discovery Service entries also report that further installation is required.

Can anyone suggest the way forward, please ?

Regards.

Every time I try to pair my Bluetooth keyboard in Windows 8.1, I get the error "That didn't work", with the subtext "Try again, and make sure your keyboard is still discoverable."

Given the uselessness of the error message, I don't even know where to start troubleshooting. Any ideas?

Answer:Can't pair my Bluetooth keyboard

Hi,

can you please let us know which keyboard are you using? Check in the keyboard settings, if it has the option which you can tick, like "make the hardware discoverable".

Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Bluetooth Devices.
Select the device that's not working, and then click Remove.
Click Add, press the reset button on the device (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), select the My device is set up and ready to be found check box, and then click Next.
If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

Is there a program that allows me to un-pair Bluetooth devices BESIDES the Bluetooth tab in PC Settings?
I can NOT un-pair devices this way! Note that removing the device via Device Manager does NOT remove it, as it comes right back.

I had to buy a new Bluetooth adapter to re-pair my devices, but I got THE SAME ISSUE as before, and that is this.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I can't do it like this:

And before anything, yes, I'm admin. Also note there is no on/off switch. Please explain this. Thanks.

Answer:Cannot Un-pair Bluetooth Devices

1 month later, any suggestions?

Basically:
Cannot un-pair via Device Manager (just simply comes back after uninstall, removal, and re-insertion of BT dongles).
Cannot un-pair via Bluetooth tab in Settings.

I've got a new Edge 15 0301-DCU and can't for the life of me get a Bluetooth device to pair with it. I've made sure the Bluetooth is turned on and shows up in the device manager. I've made sure it's discoverable. I've updated the drivers from Lenovo's site. I've tried four Bluetooth devices and can't get any to pair. The devices are a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, two different BT headsets (JAwbone Prime and Blue Ant Q2) and my Motorola Droid 2 phone (for tethering). When I try the Droid, teh Edge does show up in the list of BT devoces to pair with, but when I initiate teh pairing, I get no pairing dialog on the laptop and the phone eventually tells me that the pairing failed due to communication failure. This is very frustrating as this is my second Edge, having had Newegg replace the first one for the same issue. I have spent two hours on the phone with Lenovo support and am prety well versed in PCs in general. For reference, the Microsoft mouse was paired to my old Lenovo T500 for a year and the other devices have no problem pairing with other devices. I've tried disabling my Panda anti virus and Windows firewall, but that doesn't seem to help. When I hit the "Add a Device" button, the laptop doesn't see anything but my wireless printer. Help!

i'm trying to pair a wireless bluetooth speaker with my new hp notebook N5Y05UA#ABA.

Answer:Unable to pair Bluetooth speakers

Hi: The reason you cannot connect to the bluetooth speakers is due to the fact that your notebook does not come with built in bluetooth networking. Below is the link to the product specifications for your notebook. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04936074 If it came with bluetooth, that would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n (1x1) wireless connectivity specification.

Whren I upgraded my OS to Windows 10 the mouse would not pair. I could not even delete it from the device manager. It would show deleteing, then failed, then paried, but it was not working. Tech Support gave me the option of sending it in for repair or taking it to BestBuy for repair. THE SOLUTION: I had not upgraded all the drivers. The one that cured the problem was the Video driver, which also installed an audio driver and fixed the Bluetooth problem. I started with the Bluetooth first, since it was a Bluetooth problem. Go figure.

Dear All, I have the following problem. I can not pair my Bluetooth headset to the laptop (x121e). It is connected ( I can see it in the folder "my Bluetooth places"), but when I double click on the the headset icon it becomes green for ~ 1s and then disconnects and can not be paired. I have re-installed the bluetooth drivers several times and tried to pair the headset again and again but no success. I have tried to use the headset with other laptops and it is working properly. Where could be the problem? I use Win XP SP3. Regards

Answer:Can not pair my bluetooth headset to X121e laptop

hey Mindogas, the other laptops which worked, was it also XP SP3? Or was it a different OS?Have you tried uninstalling the bluetooth driver from your unit and then letting Windows install its own generic driver ?

Win 10/64 10586, HP z5000 Bluetooth mouse, Dell xps L502X laptop latest Intel Centrino Wireless 3.0 driver 10.0.10586.122
Initially pairs and works, drops after a period, and will not re-pair after a reboot; bluetooth still sees the mouse and states it is paired. Have to either remove and then add again, or, on bluetooth settings, remove and wait for it to say "ready to pair", and then re-pair it. All a bit of a pain.

In addition to the above, we have downloaded the latest software from Intel, we have also tried uninstalling the devices from the device manager. MS says we have the latest software!!

I can see many Bluetooth issues on Windows 10, plus I guess the driver software is quite old, and maybe Bluetooth 3 is uncomfortable with win 10.

Is worth getting a Bluetooth dongle using version 4? Would it be guaranteed to work?

So what's the best answer here to avoid the hassle?

Answer:Bluetooth drops & does not automatically re-pair after boot

Testing a Lenovo Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, Model LXH-JME8002B.
Manage Bluetooth Devices finds the Lenovo Bluetooth Mouse and when I click PAIR I get Connected then Paired, but the mouse pointer will not move. I've tried this and without my Wireless Logitech mouse connected.

With the Wireless Logitech mouse removed, I can move the mouse pointer with the touchpad but the supposedly paired BT Mouse can't. With it connected I can move it with the Logitech mouse but not the Lenovo BT mouse.

Does not see the Lenovo Bluetooth Keyboard at all.

I'm at build 10074, updated last evening from 10061.

Everything in Device Manager looks copacetic:

Manage Bluetooth Devices looks right for the mouse as well:

This is my first try with a Bluetooth device.

My Specs are filled in.

Answer:Can't pair Lenovo Bluetooth mouse and keyboard

I deleted everything and started over. Eventually the mouse paired and connected.

Still not seeing the keyboard.

I got a new Thinkpad Bluetooth Mouse with my Thinkpad Yoga 370 and although I love the machine, the bluetooth isn't that great. I have to pair the mouse to use it everyday.  After an hour or two of inactivity the mouse disconnects and I have to re-pair it.   Anyone have a solution for this?  Is this just Windows 10 behavior or something I'm missing in a setting on the machine?

Hi

I have an Ankovo bluetooth headset that I am trying to connect to a Lenovo Thinkpad running a Win7-64 bit OS.
I was able to pair them with the machine as a bluetooth device by doing the following -
1. 1st attempt at pairing the device failed. The device showed up with an exclamation mark in the bluetooth devices window. This seemed to be because windows did not find a driver for this device.
2. I installed the latest BT driver from lenovo's website.
3. This seemed to work so far as recognizing the device driver software was concerned, but the headphones still don't show up in the list of playback devices.

I've read several forums and tried doing several things; most point to the following solution, in that order.

1. Unistall microsoft's native USB drivers (Generic Bluetooth Adapter) from Device Manager.
2. Installing Lenovo's bluetooth drivers.
3. Pair my earphones.

However, each time I try to uninstall Microsoft's driver and install the new one, I get an error which says the installation detects an unauthorized driver and aborts.
Refreshing the Device Manger ("Scan for hardware changes") seems to bring Microsoft's drivers right back.

Does anyone know how I can proceed?

I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit) and have everything updated: drivers, BIOS, Thinkvantage.  The bluetooth is on.  All the boxes are checked that permits the bluetooth to be seen and active.  The only thing I can't be sure is updated is Broadcom driver because the update installer says it can't upgrade the software! I can pair to devices (Nexus 5 cell phone and Otis & Elanor speaker) and make changes to their settings in the bluetooth properties.  However, when I try to connect to them, I get window that says "configuring bluetooth services" that sits open for about 30 seconds before it says "error connecting to ___.  Please retry this operation". Does anyone have any suggestion for how I can get the bluetooth to function properly.  In other words, what am I missing?

I have updated the drivers already and troubleshooted with no improvement.

Answer:U310 Bluetooth does not pair or find other devices

Check the bluetooth settings in the control panel, and make sure it is turned on and none of the settings will prevent connection. Also check the device manager and see if there is a problem with the bluetooth radio itself.Do you have a signal strength application on your laptop? If you do, how strong is the signal? You could have an antenna issue.

I'm not able to pair my new iSport monster bluetooth wireless headphones with my HP EliteBook. The laptop cannot "see" the iSport bluetooth device. They also said that  the wireless headphone uses APTX technology and the Laptop drivers must support this technology. I'm not really sure if that's accurate hence posting the questions here.  HP - any idea how to fix this?

My sx-907c bluetooth headphones have terrific sound quality and work with my iPod touch and my Android tablet and they pair successfully with my computer and show up in the playable devices. But the problem is they don't actually play any sound. Even though I select it as the default playback device and the sound settings indicate that there is indeed playback coming to the headphones I dont hear any sound on the otherside. This only happens with my laptop which runs Windows 8.1 pro with media center. My Desktop which runs windows 7 home premium 64 bit pairs up successfully and the playback is perfect. Is there a driver you could recommend to me specifically for these headphones to make it where windows 8 actually plays the audio on this device.

I updated bluetooth drivers from Lenovo website, but the problem wasn't solved. I downloaded it from Broadcom either, and the same again. Then, searching the web, i found this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2486635
and installed it. ftBth.dll changed from 6.1.7600.16385 to 6.1.7601.21876, but that doesn't solved the problem.
Any hints of what can i do?
Thanks

Answer:Explorer.exe crash while trying to pair with a especific Bluetooth device.

Just a note, your Belkin is more then likely not compatible with Windows OS. The list of compatible devices does not display Windows OS as a compatible system. It does display various phones, tablets, and music players. More then likely that is an issue
since it is due to a compatibility issue.

I spent many hours trying to figure out how to connect my two Windows 7 64-bit PCs to my Bluetooth stereo audio device (the Motorola S705) and so I thought I'd post my solution in case it helps anyone else.

SYMPTOMS:
A Bluetooth-capable Windows 7 PC can pair, but can?t connect, to a stereo audio device (like the Motorola S705 SoundPilot) via Bluetooth. The PC and the audio device may pair, but then Windows 7 provides the following error messages: ?Device driver software was not successfully installed. Bluetooth Peripheral Device. No driver found.?

It may be worth noting that I had no problem connecting my Bluetooth audio device to my cell phone or Windows XP PC. And the Windows 7 PC was able to connect to other Bluetooth devices, such as mice or keyboards.

CAUSE:
Even though the Windows 7 PC may have a working Bluetooth driver that connects to some Bluetooth devices (like mice or keyboards), the Windows 7 PC does not have the necessary A2DP & AVRCP (audio-capable) Bluetooth software & drivers installed. This software deficiency may occur, especially if the PC has been upgraded from an earlier version of Windows or the PC maker has simply not provided the latest driver update.

SOLUTION:
If the PC has an add-on Bluetooth adapter/dongle, download & install the latest driver directly from the Bluetooth dongle maker?s website, if possible.

If the PC has Bluetooth built-in, download & install the latest Bluetooth driver directly from the PC manufacturer,... Read more

My lap top model is E460 / Type: 20ETA00XSG Hello all, I have seen a lot of posts with instructions what to do when bluetooth doesn't work. I tried everything so maybe someone will suggest something I didn't find. I have tried uninstalling the default drivers, reboot for it to automatically install default generic drivers, didn't work. I went to Intel's site to install the latest driver for Win 7 64 bit, didn't work either. I tried uninstalling, reboot, then installing the drivers listed for my lap top on Lenovo's driver download page. Didn't work too.  The blue tooth arc mouse shows up when I try to add a bluetooth device. However, after all the automatic driver installation that takes place after I tried to add the mouse, there seems to be no connectivity between my mouse and my lap top.  Please help me. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on a plain vanilla Dell Desktop. I bought a pair of Jabra Move Wireless headphones to use at my desk.

When I try to "Add a device", Windows can see the headphones, but not pair with them. When trying to pair, I get an error message that:

"Adding this device to the computer failed because of an authentication error. This might be due to an incorrect pairing code. Try adding the correct pairing code for the device. You
might need to refer to your devices documentation for details."

The pairing code is 0000, but Windows 7 seems to have no method of inputting the code.

Microsoft Answer Desk is completely useless, except for offering me one year of "advanced technical support" for $149.
Jabra has been equally useless.
I've found dozens of reports on the net of this exact same problem with various Bluetooth devices and Windows 7, but no answers as to how to resolve
it. All of my drivers seem to be up to date, as is Windows.

Answer:Jabra Move Wireless Headphones wont pair in bluetooth

And the problem has been solved.
After all of my frustration with the Japanese support office for Jabra, it was the American support staff that solved the problem in one email, by telling me how to reset the headphones to factory settings, something that is not mentioned in any of the accompanying
literature or on the website, anywhere that I could find. After that, the pairing went off perfectly.

It was a very simple procedure, and I'm baffled as to why the Japanese support staff, although they spoke excellent English, was unable to even understand my problem, let alone offer a solution.
Anyway, the headphones are working now. Thanks for all the advice.

Hi Guys,

I am trying to buy a new "sports headphone" to be used at the gym. Unfortunately, where I am, I only either have bluetooth 2.0 + NFC or Bluetooth 4.0 (only 1 or 2 options) without NFC.

I am really keen on NFC, as I have a S4 and really keen to try NFC, would really appreciate any feedback on this? Is BT2.0 with NFC a better option in terms of easy of use or a simple BT3.0 or BT4.0 without NFC be a safer bet?

I am not too sure how stable the NFC technology now is, so thats my only concern.

Would appreciate some feedback on this.

Thanks

Answer:NFC or bluetooth sports headphone?

Since NFC only works up to a few inches, it must be used just for the setup. The Bluetooth would then be used as the link between the headphones and phone.

Hi there,
I am using two different bluetooth headsets to connect to my computer. They
pair and connect just fine and even work with Skype. The problem is Vista
(business) disconnects the headset about every 30-60 seconds. Does anyone
have any ideas of how to keep the connection stable?
thanks!

Answer:Bluetooth Headphone disconnects

Are you using vendor's bluetooth drivers? If so, remove it, reboot and let your system install the Microsoft bluetooth stack. You may have to uninstall your hardware manually too (from device manager)

I can't use my bluetooth headphone and wired earpiece simultaneously. whenever I connect my bluetooth headphone to my laptop, the wired earpiece stops working.I'm having Dell XPS L501X with Realtek High Definition Audio. Is there any way to make them work simultaneously?

Answer:Can't use bluetooth headphone with earpiece!!

I don't think there is because usually when you plug in a headset or turn on a bluetooth headset it disables the speakers, so I suspect that bluetooth essentially does the same to your wired headset - probably nothing that can be done about it unless you happen to find a setting in the realtek control panel that disables the 'feature'."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Hello, I got a JBL Everest Elite 700 bluetooth headphone and I would like to pair (connect) it with my HP Pavilion G6. I also have the latest updates installed. 1. Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a deviceNo device can be found! (I am sure the headphone is discoverable and it works perfectly with other laptops and my mobile phone) 2. In "Device Manager", there is no "Bluetooth" icon. 3. In Computer Management > Services, "Bluetooth Support Service" is running and is set to Automatic. 4. In Computer Management > Services, "Bluetooth Handsfree Service" is running and is set to Automatic.   This is driving me crazy. I don't know what else to do.

Hi, I am having problems getting a Bluetooth headset to operate. Having connected and paired (I believe), the device shows in Devices and Printers. In Device Manager, there are three listings for it (Aukey model EP-B4). Each listing says there are no drivers installed. Have tried updating each and all but after an age for Windows searching for drivers I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to close it.
I have contacted the manufacturer many times but so far no results - they repeatedly requested from where I bought it and item number.
I am using Win7 SP1 with all updates current.

The headset works well with my mobile phone and tablet (Android 5.1).

Any help much apprecitated.
