Preferred Solution: keyboard not working on acer icona w700 tablet run...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Obtained a brand-new Acer Icona Tab A700 tablet almost exactly one year ago and it "died" a few days ago; it will not turn-on or charge, no light comes on at all. I tried the reset thing with a paper clip, no response. I then contacted live chat help and was told it was out of warranty and nothing could be done, I would have to pay to have this 1-year-old device repaired. Completely unacceptable customer service! I'm very, very diasappointed in Acer and plan to make my experience as widely known as possible.

Answer:My 1-year-old Acer Icona Tab A700 tablet died and ...

If you don't want to send it to Acer, take it to a shop that repairs phones and tablets. The thing is more a phone than a computer. They will be able to tell you what's wrong with it and they probably won't charge you much.

hi guys i really want to try a windows 8 tablet and i plan to buy it either by the end of this month or by next January. I am confused on what to pick though
First of all, the reason why I want a windows 8 tablet IS because i like the interface. but more importantly, i need metatrader and cTrader in legacy app as im a full time forex trader. I have metatrader in my iphone but you cant seriously compare that with the windows version (no tabbing, no lines drawing, no fibonacci, etc.). cTrader doesnt even exist there.
im looking to replace my macbook pro (which btw i also installed windows 8 on it through parallels virtual desktop) with a windows 8 tablet to support my trading while im outside
So basically I dont need a super i7 tablet or something. However, im curious to know how windows 8 atom tablets perform. I have seen enough reviews and some people says atom tablets perform badly in legacy apps. Question is, how bad is that bad? Does it lag so bad even though i dont need to run heavy apps like adobe? I only need to run these trading apps which btw are very light. You can compare them with MS paint i believe, just with constant connection.
would it do well in atom tablets? I dont want lags when i switch from win8 native apps to metatrader and cTrader.
next question - how does windows 8 tablet on-screen keyboard work with legacy apps? Would i have special gesture to show up the on-screen keyboard or it automatically appears when i touch the screen? I personally dont believe ... Read more

Answer:Help Me Choose My Tablet - Thinkpad Tablet 2, Vivotab, Acer W700, Etc.

I forgot to add one more question. how responsive legacy apps (desktop mode) is to your finger? Do i really need a pen or it doesnt help either? Because acer w700 doesnt come with a pen so it's also a crucial question for me

Hello, Maybe somebody could help me. I just got W700 2757-CTO with Vista x64 SP1 Business, however when I got it I think my Wacom Digitizer worked, but after some time it stopped and I can't get it to work. I tried System Restore, I even performed a Clean Vista Install and even my system is flying now and everything is working much better than before, I still can't get Wacom Digitizer to work  Driver I'm using: 02 Sep 2008 v5.0.8-8 I also tried driver I found online that is 5.1.1-1, but it was the same result. Did anybody face that kind of issue and found a solution? Does anybody have other Vista x64 drivers that I could try? Your help will be highly appreciated.

Guys, If somebody got the original driver that should be in C:\SWTOOLS\... somewhere in Digitizer folder, would you zip and send it to me so I can try the original driver that came with the machine. After clean install I lost all standard drivers. Your help will be highly appreciated.

When I am in tablet mode there should be an on screen keyboard that pops up when I click to type somewhere. I found something online about going to settings and then under "typing" click to automatically have it popped up. But on my computer under settings and typing it doesn't show that option. HELP. I know how to manually make it come up but at the store there was a little keyboard button and it would pop up.

I have a toshiba convertible laptop, I was using it in both laptop mode and tablet mode. Suddenly after converting from tablet mode to laptop mode the keyboard and touch pad stopped working in windows. The keyboard is functional and working in bios I am able to change the options in bios but when it comes to windows only the function keys are working to change the system settings. The touch pad is also having the same issue.

Answer:Keyboard and touch pad not working after using as tablet mode

Sounds like a driver issue or accessibility that the touch on-screen keyboard got screwed up. Can you get to a restore point by using a USB keyboard and mouse with it? Toshiba has their own drivers for the Synaptics Touchpad, same as their Function keys. I always went with non-UEFI on the Toshiba laptop my wife has. Always had issues with Toshiba's drivers and UEFI mode.

The only other thing is maybe roll back to a System Restore point before this occurred. Also do you make a regular system backup for the unit?

On this laptop, you can fold back the screen to be used like a tablet.  My problem is that once I do that and use it as a tablet, when I then fold it back normally and want to use the keyboard, the keyboard doesn't work.  Any ideas of what is wrong?

Got an inspiron 13 7000 yesterday and trying to use for first time.  When switching to tablet mode, the virtural/on-screen keyboard cannot be selected for use.  It is available in laptop mode (when I don't need it because of the large keyboard in front of me), but not table.

So, I called tech support and was told it was outside of regular tech and they'd transfer me to software tech.  They said there is normally a fee for this support, but since the computer is brand new, there would be not charge.  Software tech refused to help me unless I paid and they transferred me back to hardware tech who put me on hold, then hung up on me.

Wow, nice support on a brand new product!  They want me to pay to get their defective product to work?  I guess it would be cheaper for them to pay for a return shipping label, give me a full refund and sell this as a refurb at half of what they sold it to me for then for them to actually spend a few minutes on the phone trying to help.

Before I return this and buy another brand, does anyone know how to get the on-screen keyboard to work on tablet mode?

I have a brand new Lenovo Z500 laptop with Windows 7. After installing the drivers for my Genius MousePen 8x6 tablet the keyboard becomes unresponsive. I got the latest driver from the Genius website and the tablet works fine but the keyboard is as if dead. I tried re-installing the keyboard drivers and the chipset drivers, it didn't help. When I uninstall the tablet driver the keyboard starts functioning again.  Please help!

Answer:Tablet driver makes my keyboard stop working

Hi, thanks for all the help...Anyways, I found the problem. It's the Synaptics Touchpad driver that's causing the keyboard to malfunction. I tried installing a driver for a different tablet brand and same thing happened. So, it's the Lenovo driver, it should get fixed.

So, I boot up my laptop and notice I can't type my password in, so I log in with my fingerprint, I open up notepad and notice that my 4 5 R T F G V B, Left Shift, and Left Ctrl keys all don't work. I also noticed that they're all keys that are staggered vertically (with the exception of the modifiers).I went to a keyboard tester site to get a visual representation of the keys that don't work.Notice the chunk in the middle of unhighlighted keys. I've taken my laptop apart before, so I pulled out the keyboard and inspected the keyboard connector and socket and found no tarnishing, bent pins, etc on them.Is there a way to diagnose if this is a keyboard or a motherboard issue?

hi Im experiencing another issue after the clear Vista install, it the integrated tablet and the dual screen configuration. I have the tablet mapped for the primary screen (as suggested by Icepick last time from: Control Panel --> Pen Tablet Properties --> Pen tab --> Tracking (Pen Mode) --> Details button) but when I use Photoshop with the digitizer, two pointers appear and start flashing. The first one is mapped to the primary screen while the second one appears to be mapped to both, so when I try to draw a point with the brush, the software draws a line from the first pointer to the second making a mess. You could only use the on screen keyboard.  Suddenly the display went into tablet mode and  you could not change the mode back.  You have tried a total reset and installed any driver updates, but the issue remains. Have you ran the HP Support Assistant?  Have you ran the Windows troubleshooter? Would you check this setting. Click the Windows button (lower left corner)Clcik on  settingsClick on  system to  open it.In the left pane of the screen, scroll down to the bottom until you see "Tablet Mode"Verify that  it is set to off. Please let me know the outcome. Best of Luck and Happy Holidays!

Good evening, everyone. Forgive me if this isn't the right subforum, but this one had more results pertaining N-series IdeaPads than the other one I considered posting in. I own a rebranded UC-Logic drawing tablet that used to work wonderfully with my old Windows 7 laptop. Now I have a brand new laptop, a Lenovo Ideapad N580, that came right from Best Buy with Windows 8 installed. Even with the Windows 8 driver from the tablet manufacturer's website, I encounter a problem: the built-in keyboard becomes totally unresponsive. No normal typing, no Ctrl-Z, no Windows key functions, no nothing. When the driver's uninstalled, my keyboard resumes working as normal. I noticed this happening right after the recent Win8 update, but I am not sure if that's related or not to the problem I'm having. The tablet itself works as it should, pressure sensitivity and all in Photoshop CS6 and etc., but the keyboard doesn't work when the tablet driver's installed. I'm at a loss as to what to do, and wonder if anyone here has any ideas.

Answer:IdeaPad N580 - Windows 8 - Keyboard stops working when external drawing tablet driver is installed

Hi morgb,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Lenovo Community,

I?d like to help you with the issue that you?re facing,

But maybe the problem that the machine needs a driver installed for this tablet to be able to recognize it,

If you can contact the manufacture of the tablet to ask for a driver for windows 8.

Thanks and Regards,

Soha

I'm pretty sure my Aspire PS-131 is an All In One rather than a notebook. Feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place. This morning, seemingly all of a sudden, my PS-131's bluetooth keyboard stopped working. I charged it until the light turned blue, but the tablet no longer registers the keyboard on the Bluetooth screen. Sometimes an Unknown device will appear on the bluetooth screen, but I can't connect to it.  I have no idea what to do and I can't find anything online about it. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone else have an idea about where to begin? I've tried contacting Acer's live chat, but the serial number on my tablet isn't verifiable.

(i'm going to try and explain this the best i can)My Acer Aspire E15 laptop's keyboard has stopped working so I'm typing this with an external keyboard. I've only had this laptop it for a little over a year and having the keyboard just stop working is very dissapointing and a little frustrating. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any possibility of getting this repaired, because I've been informed that the keyboards of these laptops are connected to the motherboard in a way that would require getting a whole new motherboard just to replace the keyboard. I don't know if this is true or if there is anyway to repair my keyboard without replacing the whole **bleep** motherboard, so if anyone knows it would be awesome if you could help me out.

Answer:Acer Aspire E15 keyboard not working?

Not sure where they got that info. However you can replace the keyboard. That does take some doing. But I think a person would most likely replace the whole top part. That is track pad and all. I would say look on eBay for you type and see if they have any. When you take apart you remove power, battery, 14 or 16 screws from the bottom. Remove drive from the bay. Use old credit card to separate the 2 half. Then there is some ribbon cables that would need to be removed carefully. If you got the whole thing. Then put in New one same way you took out old. However if you just got the keyboard you will bee to take out 8 to 10 more screws peeling tape from the ribbon cables and to access the small screws then the keyboard can be removed. For me I would try and find whole top plate would be less work.James

I can use the keyboard when starting in safe mode but not when windows starts??? The Tried reinstalling the driver but didn't work

Answer:Acer Aspire keyboard is not working

When Safe Mode works properly but Normal Mode does not, it typically means that a driver or some software has just been installed that is interfering with Normal Mode. The types of software that can do that are drivers, antivirus products, third-party firewall products, CD/DVD burning software or virtual CD/DVD software. If you can remember installing anything like that, uninstall it in Safe Mode then restart.

I'm using windows 7 64-bit, I am typing with my father's laptop. Sorry for my bad english, anyway Thanks.
(And because I'm new here, i don't know if this is in the right or wrong section XD )

Answer:Acer Aspire E1-431 Keyboard is not working at all (All key).

Try using the keyboard on another computer and see if it works. If it's a USB keyboard, you should be able to use it on your father's laptop. If NO keys work on EITHER computer, the laptop is most likely ready for the garbage dump. I suppose you could try opening it up and cleaning it, but if it's not a very expensive keyboard I wouldn't even bother. Just replace it.

Hello, I have an Acer laptop running on Windows 7 and the other day I spilled something on it while cooking. After cleaning it off (just with a cloth) most of the keys wouldn't work. The ones that did didn't wok correctly, i.e 'u' would be 'bu' and so on. The next day, none of the keys worked. I cleaned it with hand sanitizer, and some worked, but again there were messed up 'double keys.' It now seems that they are almost all dissasociated from their original keys. Like, F9 is now spacebar, 7 is enter, etc. I've already restored the computer to factory settings the way it was when I bought it, but its the same. How do you reset the keys?

Answer:Acer laptop Keyboard not working

Your problem is that the contacts on the underside are not clean and the small currents that make the contacts now are bleeding between contacts and causing unexpected results like the double entrys and changed entrys. The only way to fix this is to remove the battery, disassemble the lower computer parts, remove the keyboard and either clean all of the contacts and other sticky surfaces carefully with alcohol, or replace the keyboard and clean all other sticky surfaces. For MOST, this is a job for a professional. Tell him EXCATLY what happened so he knows what the job entails. This will probably not be an inexpensive repair and if it were an older machine it might not pay, but for a fairly new machine that otherwise works well, it probably pays. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

First of all Hi, i'm a new user here alltho techguy helpt me out a few times (Searching the forums ) but not this time & just didnt make an account yet.
Now i hope some of you guys can help me out.

Project Sketch:

I have this Acer W700 Tablet which had Win 8 pre-installed on it. now first of all i hate win 8 it just doesnt fit my needs. (i work in the Industrial Automation and have to use allot of software thats just not compatible with Win 8.)
So why not install Win 7 on it right?
After making a bootable Win 7 USB drive i used a USB hub to connect both the USB and an external keyboard for controls (the W700 only has one USB 3.0 slot..)
Changed the the boot type to UEFI did a restart and then used the keyboard to startup pressing F12 to get into the boot menu and then select my USB drive.
Setup loads all files and then i get the menu to choose for keyboard settings and language etc..
But i cant use my keyboard or the touchscreen (obv not the touchscreen cause there are no drivers..) but why isnt the keyboard working? ive tried several USB keyboards none of them did the job so i guess the setup has no drivers to use it?
i hope somebody can help me out on this one.
With love,

SWKIPPY

Please help. I am running windows 10. My keyboard worked today, then it quit this evening. Mouse and online keyboard work. Restarted a couple of times, filter keys is off. Doesn't work even when entering my password . I tried updating, troubleshooting, can't think of anything else to try . I bought this laptop Dec 24 online , didn't receive it until in the New Year, had it less then a month . Thank You .

Answer:Acer E5-532-P86K keyboard quit working

To troubleshoot the issue, check if reinstalling keyboard drivers help (if you have not done this already). To do this, follow the steps below:1. Click "Windows key" + "R" keys and click Ok to open "Run" window.2. In the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and click OK.3. In the "Device Manager" window that comes up, navigate to "Keyboards" and expand the tree. Click on your keyboard model and properties window will come up.4. Go to "Driver" tab and click "Uninstall" to uninstall your keyboard drivers.5. Restart your system and Windows will automatically find and install your keyboard drivers. If the issue still persists, you are advised to contact nearest Acer service center for further assistance as your laptop is new. I just recently encountered a problem with my Acer Aspire E3-112 notebook keyboard that I had been able to fix and would like to share the solution with anyone who may encounter the same problem. I had used a USB flash drive to copy some files without any issues. Shortly afterwards, I noticed that the 8 key on the keyboard had stopped responding, but all other keys worked as normal. I had pressed Fn-F11 (NumLk) and the 8 key started working again. Pressing Fn-F11 again disabled the NumLk mode, and the 8 key also stopped working again. I tried rebooting the notebook, shutting down and powering back up, reinstalling keyboard driver, etc, but nothing worked. To rule out Windows OS related settings, I rebooted into BIOS, and noticed that the 8 key still didn't work when I tried to change the time, but the other number keys worked fine. The solution that finally solved the problem was to shut down the notebook, and then using a paper clip, push it into the Batery reset pinhole on the bottom of the notebook for four seconds. Upon normal powerup, the 8 key started working again. If your notebook has a removable battery, then removing and reinstalling the battery might have the same effect.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have a request for help,

I have an Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG with the following spec:

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG NX.RYKEK.010

Except i'm running windows 7 and have just the 500GB HD on its own.

I only have had it since christmas and have been VERY happy with its performance so far...

BUT lastnight I switched it on and the keyboard and touchpad is completely unresponsive, when I went into control panel-hardware-keyboard there was a red "x" symbol beside it and when I ran a diagnostic on it it stated the driver wasn't installed properly and searched itself for a fix, It seemed to find something and tried installing it but then reported it wasn't installed properly.

I restored the laptop to two different previous restore points with no effect and so have since undid all restores (using the onscreen keyboard and a mouse).

I have tried pressing F2/F6/F8 on startup but with no effect....

I have seen a fix that has seemed to work for people where they disconnect the power lead and battery, press and hold the power button for 30-45 secs, connect just the battery and reboot, however my battery is internal and can't be clipped out like most laptops...

I'm running out of ideas and most driver update sites seem to be a trick to get you to install their software for free then charge you for anything else so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, I don't want to have to get an external HDD, back everythin... Read more

Try the following drivers.
Oddly enough, I could not find official keyboard drivers for your model, only touchpad drivers.
I'm assuming that your keyboard uses a windows included driver.

These are for Windows 7 64bit.

Hi,
Welcome to the forums, go to control panel, uninstall "Launch Manager" in Programs, download from here and re-install it:
Download Drivers and Manuals | Acer Official Site
Try different drivers for synaptics, for example, Acer Aspire E1-572 Synaptics Touchpad Driver 17.0.6.13 for Windows 8.1 64-bit Drivers download - Synaptics Software Update
EDIT:
If you find ETD Ware in Programs, right click and uninstall it, that's your Elantech but I couldn't see it in your Device manager.

If it were me, I'd try the K/B on another computer. If it works, then you know the K/B is good and the issue must be the computer it's presently connected to. This would mean the issue is likely software(drivers). You might want to check the manufacturer's website and see if there are newer Windows 7 drivers for the device. If there are, download and install them and reboot and see if your K/B doesn't work then.It matters not how straight the gate,How charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate;I am the captain of my soul.***William Henley***

Hello. I am hoping that someone will have a solution to some weirdnesses going on with my Acer 5050. It came with Vista but I reformatted the hard drive and installed XP. Everything had been going smoothly until I decided to download Service Pack 3. While Service Pack 3 was downloading my network hiccuped or something and Service Pack 3 was aborted mid download. After that happened the computer was a complete mess, so I reformatted the hard drive and re-installed XP. I am now at the point of downloading all MS XP updates, virus protection, anti-spyware etc.

The problem I seem to be having is sometimes after a reboot the touchpad and keyboard will not work. An external wireless mouse will though. I find if I do a reboot both the touchpad and the keyboard will come back to life but often when the touchpad and keyboard will not work the computer will not reboot, I must pull out the battery to get the silly machine to reboot.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Brenda

Hi,
My neighbours computer is an Acer Aspire 6920G that is 9 months old, it has just come back from the store she brought it at and still has the same issue.
It runs Vista Home Premium, which I am not familiar with.
The machine boots fine, but does not recognise the keyboard, touchpad, and now has no sound drivers or options.
The machine was not sold with a Vista disc, just a generic recovery disc that does not allow me to use the SFC /scannow or repair console.
I am familiar with XP to intermediate, but never used Vista before.

Can anyone please help

Trying to reset acer tablet to factory setting, but did not work and has been doing preparing automatic repair for 1 hour now and I am unable to shutdown my tablet and don't know any other ideas on how to fix this problem.

Answer:acer tonica model W700 trying to reset to factory settings

Do you have your Windows 8 installation discs? If so, you can run System Repair off of that, you might have better luck that way. Or you could just reinstall Windows 8 entirely from the disc. If you don't have the disc, you should be able to contact the manufacturer and they should provide one. Anyway, you should be able to either unplug the PC or just wait for the battery to die (laptops), although this could damage the system and Windows further. But if you really don't care and don't plan on trying to recover any data, go for it.

I just received my W700 today, there's a small amount of flex particularly around the P key - and keys in that local area make a very hollow sound when pressed.  Is that normal?  Has anyone had the same problem and then got it resolved?

Answer:W700 - keyboard flex / hollow sounds

hi,I got my W700 yesterday and the keyboard is a bit soft on the sides, as in if you press the S button all the others around it also move slightly. I believe this is due to the roll-cage which is limited to the centre of the machine, so even if its a bit annoying I assume its normal. Im already getting use to it. Hope this helped

Hi all, We recently purchased a W700 running Vista x64, and the keyboard repeat behaves oddly: * If I hold down a key on the main keyboard section, it repeats until I release it, as you would expect.* If I hold down a key on the numpad section, it repeats precisely three times, and then stops. This is completely reproducible; nothing I can do will cajole the numpad into repeating more than three times. It doesn't seem to be a configurable option in either software or BIOS, and I've never encountered this behaviour on another machine. Does anyone else with a W700 have the same problem? Cheers,Simon

I can confirm this with my W700 running Win7 x64. I didn't realise this before. Maybe by design?

I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

Hey all, I have a weird problem.  My tablet buttons have stopped working-- but only in tablet mode.  That is, I can't rotate, or bring up the tablet shortcuts, or move around the screen in tablet mode.  Also autorotate doesn't work.  But if I switch out of tablet mode, I can do all of these things just fine (except for autorotate). Also, when I switch into tablet mode the screen doesnt rotate or anything, but when I switch out of tablet mode the screen rotates to the direction I defined in the settings (sometimes.. to be honest it seems pretty random to me).  I am running 32 bit vista w/ 4 gb ram on an x61 tablet with the latest drivers.  I have uninstalled the tablet button drivers and the lenovo system interface and reinstalled them already.. I have the latest APS. Help me out here.. I have no idea why this isn't working!  Don't make me have to reinstall vista to get the buttons working.. Tha'ts ridiculous!!  Arrrgh.

You have to get into Tablet shortcut menu setting and do it all first. For the rest, uninstalled all ThinkPad Tablet Button Driver, ThinkPad Tablet shortcut menu then restar and reinstall vis System Update. Just let it find for you; that's the only thing I could recommend for this case.

I have Windows 7 Pro x64 installed. The two volume buttons are working, and the "ThinkVAdvantage" button is working.  All of the remaining shortcut buttons when you need to press the "FN" button to use are also working.  It is ONLY the mute button which is not working. I have the latest "HotKey" driver installed (2009/10/05); not to mention all of the latest drivers installed for all components. Thanks.

Answer:W700 Mute Button is Not Working.

With your description, it sounds like a hardware problem. When you replace your keyboard be sure to ask for the "solid backed" replacement. Much nicer!!

I recently purchased this W700 system, which is a great system to say the least, about a month ago. The system has been working flawlessly until about 2 days ago when all of a sudden the on screen display stopped working. It's very strange because when I adjust the volume, change the brightness settings of the display, or use any other function key, it doesn't display on screen anymore. After reviewing the downloads and drivers section of Lenovo Support, I noticed that a new driver was released at the end of March for the hotkey features (on screen display). I then verified that my current driver was an outdated version and proceeded with the update. To my dismay, the updated driver didn't resolve the problem. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue before? If so, any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated because I really have no idea what could be causing this problem.

Answer:W700 On Screen Display Not Working

Yep, same exact problem.   Not sure if you've been able to fix your issue, but if so, please post.   Otherwise, if anyone has any clue about this please respond.  Thanks.

Hi, my problem is, i bought a w700 (used). Noticed, the wireless LED not working. Checked, the card is inside its slot, even tried the Intel 5300AGN in another Lenovo (X301), and its working (the card itself). Tried to place it to another slot (next to it), Vista recognizes it, just cannot start it , error code 10. Started Rescue and Recovery, the card is found when its in the other slot, not in his original slot. Its enabled in BIOS (The wireless WiMAX switch). Upgraded to the newest BIOS. Anybody has any idea ? I suppose its a hardware error. Thanks in advice Zsolt
