Intel (R) Virtualization Technology & Intel (R) VT-d featureon T420

Question: Intel (R) Virtualization Technology & Intel (R) VT-d featureon T420

Hello all, I am trying to install Windows 8 on a Virtual Environment but since its a x64 OS, I have to enable the Intel (R) Virtualization Technology & Intel (R) VT-d feature on my BIOS Setup. Unfortunately, the options are greyed out and I cannot change them. I have noticed that they is a supervisor password needed to enter the setup. I can bypass that by just pressing enter but it seems I have limited permissions when I do that. Anyone who can assist on how I can enable virtualization? Nince..

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi all, I have a R60 notebook (year 2007/2008), processor T5500 1.66GHz.According to the Intel site http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27253 the CPU should have the Intel Virtualization Technology. I've installed windows 7, then launched the Intel processor ID utility and the results show me that my processor doesn't support this technology. I need it for Windows XP Mode... Why ?? Are there many versions of the same processor model ?(T5500)Do I have to enable something ? I've checked on BIOS and under CPU nothing about virtualization.... Any idea ?? Thank you very much Luca

In the BIOS there are two options for Virtualization Technology (under CPU).  These are disabled by default.  When should these be enabled?

Answer:Intel Virtualization Technology

My understanding of these settings is they will be helpful if you're running virtual operating systems.  I.e., if from Windows you are running VMware instances of Ubuntu, or MacOS, or other Windows instances.  The chipset offers this kind of virtualization software some shortcuts, but unless you need them regularly and are a power user you can leave them off.

I recently started using Oracle VM VirtualBox to run other operating systems within Windows 7 (for running old games). For this, I have virtualization enabled in my bios (instructed to do so in the VirtualBox manual).

I also use digital multitrack recording software and hardware to create music, which I like to devote as much system resources as possible to when running (disable Internet connection, turn off firewall and anti-virus, close real-time defragmenter, etc.). Multitrack recording really pushes hard drive access, and the sound processors place heavy demand on the CPU.

My question is: Does the virtualization technology take up any resources, or slow my system down any? Would there be any benefit in disabling virtualization in the bios when I'm recording?

Thanks!
~Syn~

Hello. (Sorry for my English. It is not my native language.) I have Lenovo 3000 N200 0769-BAG with T2310 processor and I very strong need "Intel Virtualization Technology" at this laptop (for RHEL6 - KVM). I found that BIOS supports Intel T8300 support.lenovo.com - BIOS Update Utility  (Summary of changes --> Version 3.03) and this processor has VTx feature. intel.com - T8300 but searching the net I was not able to find any confirmations that this laptop will work with this processor as I need with VTx feature. Hey all, I just wondering, do you all have activated the " Intel Virtualization Technology" ? on ideapad ? since I can't use vmware and the root cause maybe from there. I wanna install 64-bit OS on OS guest into vmware workstation 6.04. And it's says that the host CPU is not cappable running 64-bit virtual machine. So I search the error on vmware and they say like this "Intel CPUs require EM64T and VT support in the chip and in the BIOS." Well I'm quite sure my chipset is EM64T because i using Y450 on P7550 platform, so and then I see they(vmware) write "Firmware/BIOS support is required to enable Intel Virtualization Technology. Some systems (particularly laptops) do not have the necessary firmware/BIOS support to enable Intel Virtualization Technology, and cannot run 64bit guest operating systems." So know i'm very confuse how to activate this Intel Virtualization Technology, since my BIOS only can set wireless LAN, start up, and time... LOL Are there any upgrade on Ideapad to activate this thing ? Thanks & kindly regards, George Felix

Hi, Rapidly tapping the ESC key after power on should get you to Startup Menu and from there you can select Computer Setup (bios). If you can't get to the Startup memu using the ESC key then you will need to take a longer route to get into the UEFI settings.  Review this procedure. The below image is reflective for the Leeds motherboard in your PC. There is not a lot of differences between the below image and that which Paul had posted.  You will need to change the Disable to Enable and then save the settings. The other changes will require Windows 8 Pro or higher and also to enable the function under Turn Windows Features On or Off.

Hi
does anyone know if Intel VT is really supported by an M5? I have enabled it in the bios but starting a xen kernel would indicate that VT has been disabled in the bios. I updated the bios to 1.70 but still the same.

Answer:Tecra M5: Is Intel virtualization technology really supported?

Hi

As far as I know to use this technology you need additional software like Xen, VMware or Microsoft Virtual PC.
Well, most Intel CPU supports this technology.

As far as I know this CPUs use it:
Intel Core Duo: all models apart from T2300E
Intel Core Solo: Ultra Low Voltage model
Intel Core 2 Duo: all models apart from T5500
Intel Core 2 Extreme: all models
Intel Pentium 4: 6x2-models
Intel Pentium D: 9xx-models, apart from 915, 925 and 945
Intel Pentium Extreme Edition: 9xx-models
Xeon DP / MP: all models with "Paxville-MP"-core and 7xxx-series
Intel Itanium 2: "Montecito" 98 model

I'm struggling to enable VT-x on Lenovo X1 Yoga despite having executed a lot of troubleshooting steps. When I go to BIOS I see two options:- Intel (R) Virtualization Techonology- Intel (R) VT-d FeatureThe weird thing is that when I set Enabled on the first one, the Intel Processor Identification Utility and haxm_check.exe tells me I don't have VT support! If I disable "Intel (R) Virtualization Techonology" in the BIOS then the tools tell me I have VT support. Problem is, despite the tools saying it is available (but only when it is Disabled in the BIOS), the intelhaxm-android.exe setup fails with the message:"This computer meets the requirements for HAXM, but Intel Virtualization Techonology (VTx) is not turned on."The "Hyper-V Platform"  on Turn Windows features 'on or off gets greyed out too, which may indicate the VT is not enabled. I have Hyper-V disabled; Performed multiple cool shutdowns; Updated BIOS; Nothing worked.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.  The only way to make Windows 10 recognize VT is to disable it on BIOS!!!Having it disabled on BIOS Intel tools say it is supported (otherwise it shows no support)However, it is seen as disabledAnd HAXM does not install The BIOS version is up to dateHyper-V is disabled

Hi,

A couple of things that can cause that to happen:  on most machines, it's necessary to fully cycle power (shut down, power up) after changing the VT setting in BIOS.  Also, having Hyper-V enabled in Windows Features can hide the VT status.

As far as I know ?Virtualization? option, if available, you can find in BIOS settings. I am not 100% sure but this option is not available for Satellite A100.

Like you know it depends on used CPU in the unit (Virtualization must be installed in the CPU). My Qosmio has this option on first page in BIOS settings. I am not processor expert but just to compare, my unit has Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom),Processor T7400.

Hi All,

I have a Satellite Pro P100 P/N PSPA4E-00X00HEN on which I have just installed Windows 7 RC.

I desperately need to run Virtual PC 2007 (other versions won't work) on it but it wants Assisted-Hardware Virtualization enables in the BIOS (Phoenix Technologies V4.70).

I have just updated to the latest BIOS version but it doesn't have the facility to enable AHV in it.
I have checked the processor specifications and it does have the Intel Virtualization Technology facility.

From what I have read up on the internet, although the Processor is capable the manufacturers on the computers/notebooks, in this case Toshiba, program the BIOS to their liking which will either enable or disable certain features.

What I would like to find out is, is there going to be another upgrade to enable Virtualization or is there another way to do it.

Many thanks in advance.

Answer:Satellite Pro P100 - How to enable Intel Virtualization Technology

Hi

From my knowledge the usage of Virtual PC 2007 does not require a virtual technology supported by hardware (CPU).
I used Virtual PC and Virtual Machine on PC without the VT capability.

But you are right. The Intel CORE2 DUO T7400(2.16GHZ) CPU supports the VT
http://ark.intel.com/cpu.aspx?groupId=27256

Unfortunately from my knowledge the P100 BIOS does not support the option to enable/disable the VT.

Does any Satellite Pro A300 have BIOS option to enable or disable Intel Virtualization Technology?
It is mentioned on this page: http://www.toshiba-europe.com/easyguard2008/EN/manageability.aspx

I have A300-1AM (usual Satellite, not Pro), but its T5850 doesn't have VT support, so there is no BIOS option. Just wonder what's the difference between Satellite and Satellite Pro BIOSes and can I try to use Satellite Pro A300 BIOS for my A300-1AM. Sure I'm afraid that I cannot :(

Thanks, Andy

Answer:Satellite Pro A300 - does it have BIOS for Intel Virtualization Technology?

Hallo Andy

As far as I know BIOS is not a ?universal? boot program and is adapted for specific hardware architecture. Because of that Toshiba doesn?t offer one BIOS for several notebook models.

If your notebook doesn?t have Virtualization option then there is nothing to do. BIOS update will not help at all.

I enabled Intel Virtualization Technology on my AIO multiple things happen on reboot. After saving the bios changes, the system reboots, system fans turn on full blast, my SSD gets loud, and Windows goes into Diagnostic Mode because windows was unable to boot. If I disable Intel Virtualization Technology computer boots normally. Ideas on what?s happening? I need Intel Virtualization Technology to be enabled and my system booting normally. Thanks in advanced!

Hi there I am considering to buy a ThinkCentre A58 with an Intel E5300 CPUType/Model: 7515-7SGI would like to run "Windows XP Mode" on Windows 7 Pro.For XP Mode I need IVT capability. My Question is:Does the Lenovo 7515-7SG come with an E5300 CPU which is Intel Virtualization Technology capable ???IVT capability depends on the SPEC Code of the E5300 CPU.Intel offers E5300 CPUs which do have IVT capability. See E5300 details:http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=35300#specsE5300 SPEC Code* SLB9U : IVT No* SLGTL : IVT Yes Check for supported E5300 features:http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=2841&SearchKey= Even if Lenovo is shipping a E5300 with SPEC Code SLGTL - one needs a BIOS that does not block IVT.... does the A58 BIOS make IVT available? I already searched the Lenovo Thinkcentre A58 product support site - could not find anything valuable.  Thanks

I have struggled for the past few days to enable Intel VT-x on my Y400 (9454-43A) laptop, a feature that I'm in dire need of to enable 64-bit virtualization and compatibility with the latest virtualization software solutions available. I am happy to share this seemingly simple step to enable VT-x on this model/series and give credit where it's due. For starters, read up on xtrondo's post here at the OpenSolaris Forums. You need to be able to follow the steps by having the mentioned tools, meaning you need to have a copy of symcmos as well as the other programs suggested. I deviated from this though as I used a FreeDOS environment on a USB FDD (drdflash.exe from bootdisk.com) and the shareware DOS text editor EDIT! - although you don't need a DOS text editor, this will be the quickest way to do it. So to cut it short, what you need to change is this token: (031B) [0000] ...and with a simple erase and replace to turn into this: (031B) [0001] ...eventually enabling you to use your previously VT-x unsupported machine into a fully compliant one. Thanks to xtrondo on this one, I just followed his hunch of changing the token after the [0005] and in the order that he suggested. I actually got this on my first "try/guess".

Intel introduced a new driver for their WiFi cards, called the Intel My WiFi Technology about 9 months ago.  Here is the description from their website: "Simply put, Intel My WiFi turns a notebook into an Wi-Fi AP that seamlessly takes care of all of the Wi-Fi connection details, allowing users to quickly connect to their devices. Imagine being able to take a picture on a camera, and have it instantly get transferred to your notebook, digital photo frame, or personal media player and print wirelessly - all while remaining connected to the Internet." In summary, you have a WiFi connection at your hotel? Then this will let your Laptop become a wifi router, to connect your laptop to all other Wifi devices, on to the hotel's internet connection. Without having to bring a special Wifi router with you. This can only be provided by the system manufacturer (i.e., Lenovo) and not direct from Intel. SO...when will Lenovo release the latest Intel WiFi Drivers, and include this update with it???? Thanks.

Answer:Support for Intel My WiFi Technology (Intel MWT)

MyWifi support is now available on Lenovo notebooks: Lenovo Japanese Website Just be patient while the driver gets integrated into system update.

I have heard that none of the Intel hard drive software is supported on the hm76 chipsets, and only Dataplex provides the software for this. I want to confirm this as well before deciding to purchase Dataplex.

Answer:How to use Intel My WiFi Technology (Intel MWT)

I went to intel.com and downloaded the PROset/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility (the redundancy of "wireless wifi" bothers me, but I forged ahead anyway.) It'll let you enable My WiFi Technology to setup a Personal Area Network (PAN) that a second laptop will see as a WPA2 network and can connect to. So far, all I've been able to do is share my internet connection, which is kinda cool because it's using the same wifi card for two things at once. I suppose I can imagine some situation where this might come in handy, but I would really like to be able to setup filesharing with another laptop. Considering the intended use of a PAN I expect it's possible, but I didn't dig deep enough to figure it out.

I'd like to know how would you use the Intel Virtualization program? In my system's BIOS under the performance section there is an option call Intel Virtualization. I realize somehow it has something to do with the systems performance but what and how would you go about using it. At the moment Virtualization isn't turned on. Can someone explain how to use such a program on a standalone computer if it's possible? Thank you in advance.

Before carefully reading that Home Premium does not support W7 XP mode, I reset the computer's BIOS to Intel Virtualization Technology. Assuming that there is NO hit to normal single mode operating performance in this mode I'm inclined to leave the BIOS at this setting rather than move it back to the default in the event that I install a third party VM app in the future.

Is there any drawback to leaving the BIOS controller setting in the virtualization mode?

Mark

Answer:BIOS Intel Virtualization

There's no drawback as such. Even if you use any 3rd party software like Virtualbox or VmWare, you wont need to enable Virtualization.

I've just found out that Lenovo Y650 has almost the same BIOS as Y550 model. So Y650 owners can use this procedure for Y550 to activate Intel VT.

Answer:Y650 virtualization (Intel VT) [SOLVED]

Hello Middleton, It looks you've been hard at work fixing up Lenovo's inhibited BIOS.  I have a Y650 and i have a friend who just got a new Y550.  His bios is newer than mine (i got the Y650 right when it came out), and has an option to disable the extremely annoying AC adapter removal beep, and it generally seems more stable.   Are these BIOS's similar enough where I can load up the Y550 bios on mine?   We both have P8700 processors with nvidia graphics cards.   Any ideas on where I can find a BIOS file to flash? Thanks for your help with the VT enabling, we all appreciate it.

Hi all.I've developed VT activation procedure for Lenovo Ideapad Y530. But provided that your notebook corresponds to the following requirements: - Your CPU MUST support Intel virtualization Technology otherwise you'll get nonfunctioning laptop.- CPU MSR-register 0x0000003A MUST have zero value on BOTH CPU cores. If your machine doesn't fit these conditions then my procedure can't help you.If you want to try then you have to send me a request by email ([email protected]) with the following information: - CPU model.- Operating system version (32 or 64 bit).- BIOS version.

Answer:Y530 virtualization (Intel VT) [SOLVED]

Several guys have successfully tested my patch and now I place here the final version. You can download it  here. 1) Run "Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.exe" and make a dump of your current BIOS.2) Run "VT-patch.exe" and patch the BIOS dump which was made on step 1 (backup copy "Backup.rom" will be created in the same folder).3) Flash the patched BIOS with BIOS setup Easy Flash utility.Warning: VT-patch will not modify your BIOS dump if your system doesn't support virtualization (you'll get an error message).

The Intel Core 2 Duo CPU *T7* series support the Intel VT but some CPUs of the Intel *T5* series don?t support the VT!
So if you CPU supports the VT then you should find the VT option in the BIOS!

Two things. 1. Make sure you completely power off and on again after enabling virtualization2. Are you running any other sort of virtualization software, such as VMware?  If so, that may take control as only one app can be vt enabled at a time.

Will someone please explain the differences in AMD processors and Intel. I don't understand how Intel, which have a much higher FSB, preform just the same or lower to their AMD counterparts. Is it because of the more instructions per cycle in processing that AMD is getting lower frequency speed in their processors, or they are just operating more effciently? Also with new technologies developing such as hyperthreading and the 64 bit chip, how will this effect how processors are created in the future? Will we ever see a 64 bit hyperthreading processor? Or will we never see one because of copyright protection? Which way is better for performance? thanks

Answer:Technology Differences : AMD vs Intel

BTW: The main reason I am asking this question, besides curiousity, is because I am looking to build a new system from the ground up, and the processor will ultimately decide the mobo. So, I want the best processor that money can buy at a resonable price and any reccomendations for mobo also could be of help. Thanks agian

However, I'm running WinXP, with the Gigabyte P965-DS3P rev3.3, which should have the IMT.

The program I'm talking about is here:

Answer:Intel Matrix Technology?!?

Have we moved past this part:

You need to install the raid driver (from floppy) before (while) you're installing Windows. Push F6 at the prompt. You must have 2 SATA drives, and they MAY need to support NCQ. The standard WD caviars 320GB and below DO NOT. Model # Initials SE. The WD RE ("Raid Edition")drives ALL support NCQ, As do (I think) all the Seagate SATAs. On Intel's 965 boards, Viiv is only supported with C2D processors. You can't run a single SATA drive in the SATA mode (Intel calls it ACHI) unless you have Vista. With XP single drives run as IDE. I don't know how much of this applies to other mfgs. boards with the 965 chipset.

I don't have a Y500 to try, but the BIOS simulator says it should be in the BIOS under "Configuration" (if you ignore the spelling errors...)

After enabling VT, do a full power off, power on cycle.  After only doing a reboot, VT is sometimes not recognized by VT applications.

So knows anyone a working way to use all 4Gb of the installed Ram?

I would very obliged if anyone can help.

When i bought the Laptop this was an feature i want to use, and now the BIOS doesn't support it. Why did i pay so much for the Notebook if the specified features of the data-sheet wont work propably?

i5 760 2.80 Ghz
Mobo = DH55PJ
4 gig corsair ddr3
GTS250 1 Gig ddr3 256 bit
2 TB Hard Disc.

I need a good simple answer Q1 and Q2.

Tnx!

Answer:Intel i5 760 @ 2.8 Ghz Max Turbo Boost Technology

Max Turbo Frequency 3.46 GHz

The CPU automatically steps the multiplier based on load and number of cores used:

Up to 1 core used at 3.46 GHz. On CPU extensive apps, expect to get the 2.93GHz speed, as all 4 cores will be used. This is of course at the stock 133MHz BCLK.

Hi all... I have been looking at the Intel Anti-Theft technology for my T510i... but I am a little unclear as to what is actually required to activate it. First of all I am interested in the Whole Disk Encryption option. How do I activate that? Should I be aware of anything now that I have both Windows 7, 64bit and Ubuntu installed. Do I have to pay extra for this service, since this doesn't rely on an online service. Second I would like to know how to enable the Remote Disable and Destroy. Again, I am not sure how this works? Do I have to sign up for and pay for a specific service? Where do I do this if I want this option? I have the operating systems installed and working, and I want to know if I can enable the whole disk encryption without reinstalling everything? Thanks,Jay

Hello mate, Intel provide the hardware part. For the software part you can use the one you want if it works with the Intel AntiTheft Technology.Have a look there : http://antitheft.intel.com/get-service.aspx

Hello!
I don't know much about computers so I'm not sure what's going on with my laptop. For over a month my my laptop likes to disconnect from the internet all by itself. The internet connection itself is fine. My sister's laptop never looses internet nor does any other device in our house that uses WiFi. It only seems to be my laptop. Furthermore, "My Wifi Technology" always says WiFi has been disabled. I try to enable it but it still says its disabled. What's weirder is that usually my internet works fine even it claims WiFi is disabled.
I tried system restore just to see if it would help somehow, it didn't. I also scanned my computer fur viruses but nothing showed up. The only way I can connect to the internet again is by restarting my laptop. I'm wondering if I have fault hardware or something.

I've been trying to get Intel's Rapid start technology working for quite a while now -- I've downloaded all of the drivgers for my motherboard and etc, but I can't install the rapid start software because it tells me that "This Computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".

At first I thought it was that my 950 Pro was not partition properly, but I've now followed Intel's instructions and created a 'Hibernate' or whatever partition for it, but that doesn't work. I've also currently got 16GB of storage unallocated on the SSD which is double the amount of RAM I currently have in my system because some people recommended unallocating some storage + a little bit extra.

Now that I've fiddled with that for quite a while, I double checked that it was enabled in the BIOS and found that it says "No Valid Partition" in the settings for Intel Rapid Start. I think this could possibly be due to the fact that I am using the 950 Pro through a PCI Adapter?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm really stuck and have been at this for hours.

I have followed the instructions at http://download.intel.com/support/mo...r_uefi_v13.pdf

Good day. More recently became the proud owner Ultrabook Lenovo U410 core i3. Out of the box I was a Windows 8 64-bit. Technology Intel Smart Response (hybrid drive) has not been implemented. I decided to unleash the full potential of the laptop. To do this:1) I downloaded the OS Windows 8 64bit Single languarge2) I downloaded the driver Raid-Array (https://downloadcent...x?DwnldID=22194)3) Set in Bios mode Raid4) Carry out a "clean" installation of Windows 8 (with area ssd-drive left no marked-up)5) Install Intel Rapid Start Technology.6) Press the "Speed" - and after a few minutes was an unknown error where you are requested to reboot a computer. and try again Trying to turn the acceleration is the third day, spent about 5 different system settings and it did not work, What am I doing wrong - I can not understand. Someone has such a model, and how you turned this "chip". Another question - is it possible to simultaneously use Smart Response Technology and Rapid Start Technology?

I understand what Intel Turbo Boost technology is and how it works.

What I would really like to know is "....does it do what it says on the can...." In practice does this technology really work seamlessly in the background as your computing demands vary depending on your current needs?

I am currently considering the purchase of a computer with an Intel® Core™ i5-4200U Processor that is rated 1.6 GHz and 2.6 GHz with TurboBoost, incorporating a 3 MB cache. Some of the work that I do is as mundane and low-usage as Word or Excel and a 1.6 GHz processor is more than adequate. But much of the work that I do is graphically intensive and I expect that at 1.6 GHz the processor will fall over but at 2.6 GHz it should be just fine.

In the real-world of hands-on use is this Intel Turbo Boost technology the answer to vastly different workloads such as that described above...

Please help. I have no idea what Intel Rapid Storage Technology is. I've heard it used in reference to RAID (which I have no idea what that is), but I have heard that it increases performance and battery life.

Problem is, sometimes my computer starts to glitch and the sound gets all distorted and things start to respond really slowly (especially games that use flash) and I'm sure it has something to do with the Rapid Storage Technology because every time I hear that distorted sound, the little Rapid Storage Tech balloon pops up and says something about detecting a port or deleting a port. And the only way to get my computer to start acting normally again is to restart it.

Any ideas?:confused

I have just purchased a Lenovo B50-80 (80LT00H5US)  i3-4005u Notebook (April 2016).I noticed a Application installed called "Intel Rapid Storage Technology". It has a 500GB HDD Hard Drive. Is there a good reason or reasons that I use it? If there is what are the advantages for me, a guy who uses mail and browses and sometime watches a movie on it.

I wonder if I should turn it off in BIOS. Also, are hibernation and standby modes reliable, or is it better to just turn off the computer instead?

Answer:Is Intel Rapid Start Technology of any use without an SSD?

Hey there lenssd9,

Because the Rapid Start Tech. require an SSD, but I don't think itreally will make a significant difference one way or another if you disable in BIOS. For addional information regarding this from Intel: http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/rapid_start_technology_user_guide.pdf

The hibernate and sleep modes are reliable/useful. A quick rundown from Microsoft on the differences:

Sleep is a power-saving state that allows a computer to quickly resume full-power operation (typically within several seconds) when you want to start working again. Putting your computer into the sleep state is like pausing a DVD player?the computer immediately stops what it?s doing and is ready to start again when you want to resume working.

Hibernation is a  power-saving state designed primarily for laptops.  While sleep puts your work and settings in memory and draws a small amount of power, hibernation puts your open documents and programs on your hard disk, and then turns off your computer.   Of all the power-saving states in Windows, hibernation uses the least amount of power. On a laptop, use hibernation when you know that you won't use your laptop for an extended period and won't have an opportunity to charge the battery during that time.

Ultimately these modes are great for resuming work quickly, without having to do a fresh boot.
Hope this clears some things up. And Thank you lenssd9 for being a ... Read more
