T400 Volume too high. Volume control broken.

Question: T400 Volume too high. Volume control broken.

On Windows XP with Conexant Audio Driver 3.64.12.0 the volume control setting inside the SMARTaudio maps setting 10 to 1 or 2 for the windows volume control/OSD(i.e. quite loud), thus the volume set to bar 4-5 is already deafing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Preferred Solution: T400 Volume too high. Volume control broken.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi!

I have an Toshiba Satellite L300-1BB
My wife accidentally broke the volume control on my laptop, located in front.
It spins without having to trigger the sound on or off. At this point laptop sound not working.

I desoldering from the board trying to improvise something like direct connect, but I was not able to do anything.

On board, potentiometer respectively has three pins marked as follows: A, com, B.
If someone skilled in electronics has a schematic for this laptop and could realize how can by-pass this component, so volume will be controled only by OS, i would be grateful.

As alternative solution, need to by an usb audio adapter but i'm not very happy with that because need external speakers, so my mobility will suffer.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion!!!

Hello:

For a little while now there has been a high pitched screech when the volume has been turn up. It started at the top end of the volume and systematically it has started when you only minutely turn up the volume. Now the volume control must stay off.

There is no interference when networked together and it also happens when the computer is in stand alone mode when travelling.

The Tecra M1 is now 18 months old and, also, the modem does not work with no dialup sound and the Port remains firmly closed. It is now necessary, when away from DSL, to use a portable modem if wifi is not available.

TIA.

Answer:Tecra M1 High Pitched Screech from volume control

Hi

In my opinion you should change the ?Speaker volume? in the ?Software Modem properties?. As far as I know the settings should be set to the second step.
You can find it in: ?Device Manager? -> ?Modem properties? -> ?Modem?
Secondly if you want to use the Modem the option ?Wait for dial tone before dialing? should be disabled.

Hello,

On my newly purchased Pro A200/PSAE7 the (hardware) volume control - front side, right from speaker plug - turns endless and when using it the volume does not change "smooth" - more "abrupt". Because of this there is no "fine tuning" possible.

Q: Does somebody else has the same hardware side (endless turn) and software side (no smooth volume change) situation?

Many thanks for any reply in advance!

Best regards,

Answer:Sat Pro A200/PSAE7 - Volume Control turns endless, no smooth volume change

Hello,

"problem" of abrupt volume change when turning volume control disappeared. I am not sure if this is based on disable "TDispVol.exe" as start-up service or another reason.

ok so this problem was just about from the beginning. i thought i would be patient and it would go away. at first i noticed that while using msn messenger, its volume control for voice chat controled the main volume for the whole pc. so if it was low things wouldnt sound as high as i wanted. no matter if i adjusted the main volume in the control panel, which was always set to highest, the volume would still be at the mercy of Msn M. so if it was lower than usual i would have to sign into msn m and adjust it. not only does this happen with msn m. it also happens with web video applications used by youtube, livevideo, etc etc! those arent usually the culprit of low sound. its usually just msn m. even now with live messenger i have the issue. im tired of being patient so here i am

Short Story
Wave meter in volume control keeps stopping. I googled it, seems to be a virus. Performed a virus scan, came up with nothing. Did it with another anti-virus program, also showed nothing. Need help. Thanks.

Long Story
So basically, I wanted to watch a youtube video. When I played it, there was no sound. Thinking it was a simple volume problem, I checked the video volume, the small icon on the taskbar, and even went into the control panel to adjust the volume settings. I thought it might be my headphones, but I tried using the speakers and neither worked. I tried doing the voice playback, and then I could hear my voice. I thought maybe it was fixed. Played the video, no sound. At that point I thought it was my sound card. I didn't want to replace it, so I kept trying to look for a better solution. After much frustration, I managed to make my way into the volume control. Start - Control Panel - Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices - Adjust the System Volume - Audio - Sound Playback: Default Device: SoundMAX Digital Audio - Volume - Wave. I saw that the Wave option was all the way down, and moved it up. After moving it, I could hear the video crystal clear, so I closed all the windows I didn't need anymore. Well, after about 30 seconds, the volume shut off again. I went back into volume control, and the wave bar was all the way down again. I raised it, and closed the window. I was looking for the apply button to become available, for I had assumed that not app... Read more

mmmm....actually i've had a very similiar problem....not quite sure how i fixed it though. Try updating your drivers for your soundcard, that might help. Also(obviously) go into control panel, and mess with things from there. Also, do you have any errors with any sound drivers of any kind? i know if....kind of nuke some of mine(stupid me) with an anti-adware program....if you have that could be part of the prob, and those usually aren't to hard to fix, just take a little time.

I'm not sure if this happened with 5.55, but with 5.56, when I hit the volume up or down on my keyboard to turn the sound down for everything, it turns down winamp's volume bar too. Sometimes I can move winamp's volume bar up and down and it won't even be working. What causes this? It's pretty annoying for the music to turn down twice as fast or winamp's volume bar to not even work at all.EDIT: Moved to a more appropriate forum

Hi everyone,

I noticed the volume of my music was not as loud as it was in the past when playing CD's or MP3 files with Windows Media Player 10. I had the volume turned all the way up in Media player and also in Realtek HD Audio Manager, but the sound was just not anywhere near as loud as it was before. I recently un-installed "Discover stream hub / Discover.exe" and thought that this might have had something to do with it, but that does not seem to be the case.

I decided to try to play an mp3 file with Realplayer and found that with the volume turned up in realplayer, the mp3 files sounded normal again, plenty of volume.

What surprised me is that if I close Realplayer with it's volume control turned up, then open the MP3 with Medial player, it will sound normal in media player, (plenty of volume). If I turn the volume control in Real player all the way down, close it, then play a file with Media Player, there will be no sound at all.

Somehow, the volume control for Realplayer is effecting and overriding the volume control for Media Player. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how this might be happening ? Has anyone else ever experienced this type of thing ?

It's not a big deal now that I found out what was going on, but tracking down problems like this can drive you nuts. It seems crazy that the volume control from one program would control the other, I'm just wondering what might be going on. I'm using Windows XP Media Center Ed... Read more

Answer:Real Player volume control also controls Media Player Volume ?

Hi John

The reason that this happens is that when you change the volume in real player, it changes the 'Wave' volume for the whole system. I don't pretend to know too much about this but basically, real player changes part of the system volume which also affects the volume in media player. To see this for yourself, open Real Player and then go into Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices under control panel. Click on Advanced Volume Controls under the 'See Also' heading on the left. There should be a column labelled 'Wave'. If you now change the volume in Real Player, you will see this changing also. As a result, it changes the volume system wide. Hope this solves your confusion.

Hi, I've searched the forums and elsewhere online, and I can't find any real help for this issue. I'm running Win 7, and I have the most up-to-date drivers from the Lenovo site. I have turned on loudness equalization, but it has not helped the problem. This is an across-the-board problem. What I mean by that is, this problem persists regardless of the application, which I happen to be using. For instance, I use Media Player Classic: Home Cinema to watch movies. If the volume is at 0%, as I begin adjusting it upward, the volume level rises. However, as I reach about 70%, the volume stops increasing. There are audio adjustments w/in the application to boost the volume, but they serve to provide minimal effects. Overall, the volume is incredibly low. If you're sitting more than a few feet away from the laptop, it is inaudible. I don't know what else to do, and I was hoping that someone might offer some assistance. Thank you.  Jeff

Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300D and I was listening to music through the inbuilt speakers and the volume seemed to be going low-high-low-high (Like a pulse)

It's not that noticible but now I know about it.
I'm getting quite irritated with it. (I'm playing music through iTunes)

Also, this also happens when I use headphones, and when I play through external speakers.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this issue?

Also,

The multimedia button/music player button on the notebook itself opens Windows Media Player.

Does anyone know how to change that to iTunes?

Thanks!

Answer:Satellite A300D sound volume goes low-high-low-high

Did you notice this playing the music with MS Media Player, Win Amp or other applications?
Did you notice this without installation of 3rd party software like iTunes for example?

To be honest I never heard about such issue and I think this could be related to the 3rd party software preinstalled don your notebook.

> The multimedia button/music player button on the notebook itself opens Windows Media Player.

As far as I know this is not possible. I use my buttons wit Winamp because I could enable this in WinAmp software but it?s not known to me that a iTunes software would supports such extension too.

HYE GUYS,

Ive got this problem. When I go to Master Volume Control, there is no Microphone Slider Option but it appears on Recording Control. How can this be?

Im doing internet radio,so this kind of problem make it hard for me. The wave slider and mic slider must be work alternatively on master control. Or is there any other way?

HELP ME PLEASE.:cry

Answer:Microphone option not found in the master volume control but in recording control

Hi

I just noted your post in passing, have a look at your audio properties via the control panel in XP not sure about vista...See what you have set for playback and recording options you may have something different for each of the options in these tabs like recording control, playback device etc...

If your no joy, also have a look in the device manager and see what audio device you are using, if you have onboard audio and an expansion audio card (eg not built into the mother board) like a soundblaster audigy or similar then ensure this is selected for the appropriate recording or playback in sound properties. You might want to check to be sure the onboard is audio if any is disabled in the bios otherwise this may causr an IRQ conflict which you can check via the device manager on the audio properties.

I recently installed the Soundblaster Audigy and had all sorts of fun with it initially, untill i checked which IRQ (interupt request) it was using and found about four other devices all trying to run through the same irq, once this was sorted it was all joy and happiness...oh also check your drivers well your at it.

The other thing it might be is there are options in the (FILE) menu for volume control the one that lists maater volume wave microphone etc.. you can select which options to display and therfore in turn adjust in retrospect you may want to check this out as its the least complicated / time consuming of the options I've listed ...Good luck:wave

Hi Folks, This has been a consistent problem for me, but it's been hard to reproduce, until now.  Occassionaly, my volume controls become disabled - hitting the up or down volume doesn't do anything.  I've just found one way to reproduce the problem: I use Thunderbird for my email, and when I minimize it to the superbar by clicking on the superbar icon, the icon itself seems to remain in some sort of state of focus.  When that happens, the volume buttons no longer work.  When I take focus away from the icon by clicking on something else, the volume buttons resume their functionality. What's going on with this?  It's not just a problem with Thunderbird, as I've encountered this issue in different situations as well (which I can't reproduce at the moment).  So - before anyone goes blaming Thunderbird, I believe it's a bug in the lenovo software instead.  Any lenovo folks available here to take a look at this? Thanks,Alex

Hello :)
I hope I put this in the right area..

I've been searching for a solution to this volume problem for a while now, but to no avail. I've found others with a similar problem, but no solution. So here's the deal: I just got a new motherboard, and ever since I got it my volume control has been faulty. First of all, all sounds are very quiet, even when all volume sliders are set to maximum. Next the main volme control has no effect whatsoever on the volume of the computer. I can can slide it all the way to the top, or all the way to the bottom, nothing changes. The only thing that makes any difference is the Wave control and it barely does anything. Also, when I put "Mute all"...it doesn't mute. However when I put mute for Wave control, no sound comes out.
All this is incredibly annoying because I often listen to music on my computer, but now I basically can't hear it. To note: I don't have a volume control on my keyboard, or on my speakers, and I know nothing is wrong with the speakers.

If anyone could help, I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks :)

Did you get some special program with the motherboard drivers that would give you more control over sound than the Windows standard volume utility?

I'm running windows XP on an old Dell Inspiron 1501 and I'm trying to get my microphone to play directly through my speakers so I can record them both simultaneously. The only answer I've been finding is to tick the 'microphone' checkbox in the volume control playback properties panel, but I don't have a microphone checkbox. There should be a 'microphone' box under SW Synth and CD player but I don't get one apparently.I've downloaded the latest SigmaTel Audio drivers from Dell and despite not having a problem with them before this, I'm inclined to believe that they're the problem. Any ideas?

Answer:No microphone control in playback Volume Control panel

Okay well of course I find an answer right after posting the topic:
http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/t/19295458.aspx
http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/p/18112824/18235810.aspx#18235810

Those two pages detail how to get an Input Monitor checkbox which functions just like the microphone one I wanted (although you can only mute it, not alter the volume). I used Instructional Set 3 from the second page, having to add the 'RecMonitorMute' entry as detailed in the first page and I can now hear my microphone input directly through my speakers.

HOWEVER, I'm still unable to record both the microphone and speaker sound at the same time. I thought recording the 'Stereo Mix' channel with the microphone coming through the speakers would work but it isn't and I don't know why. Any ideas?

Suddenly the mute and volume buttons on my T400 have been acting strangely. Whenever I hit the decrease or increase volume button the volume goes up by 2 points and not 1 like usual. It's like I'm hitting it twice. Therefor I can't use the mute button since when I hit the button it acts as I hit it twice so the mute goes off right away.I've tried uninstalling and installing the Lenovo Systems Interface driver for Windows 7 but no luck. This used to be fine, I don't know what happened. Here's a video of me decreasing and increasing the volume with the buttons and in the end I'm trying to use the mute button. You can probably get a better idea of what I'm trying to say by watching the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdRFUKAy8CI ** EDIT:Problem solved. Downloaded CCleaner for Win 7, ran registry scan and fixed issues reported.Installed the systems interface driver again (did not uninstall, just overwrote what had already been installed), restarted and that did the trick. Decided to keep this thread instead of deleting it if someone will ever run into similar troubles.

Hi there.I am all setup to record VHS tape using a new Hauppage WinTV PCI Card and I am grabbing the Vhs tape fine but there was no audio being recorded. The manual told me to go into Volume Control and set the RECORDING option for LINE-IN to active and I do this and then the card works and grabs the video and sound no problem. The only problem is that this setting doesnt stay like this and when I close down the WinTV software it reverts back to being unchecked so before I start a new project I have to go back into volume control and set it again, very annoying, is there a way to set this option so it stays? I am sure I am missing someone obvious, I am not a newbee to pc's either, this one just baffles me though.

Hi All,I have an R61i and the volume is too low. (fine in a quiet room only). I have max'd every volume I can find in Windows (I have XP) .. In the Control Panel sound properties tabs I've increased everything to High.. The Conexant Audio Output volume, the Speaker Volume. It goes to 25. Isn't there any way to make it go up higher than 25?I have read other complaints about this but all I've found is suggestions to increase what I already have.Isn't there an outside-of-windows-lenovo kind of thing I could do to raise it higher than 25?Thanks... Tracy

Answer:Is this as high as the volume goes?

The speaker on the R61i isn't great, given that the speaker's cone diameter and depth are small, this is a physical limitation, you should get an external speakers or set of earphones.

Hi, I've installed Windows 7 64bit and everything is fine except displaying menu (progress bar) for brightness / volume, I can do more and less bright and louder or silent - but On screen menu is not displaying. I was trying everything:1. installed Hotkey Feature Integrations 2. Installed Patch for Hotkey 3. Installed Power Manager 4. reinstall few graphic card drivers 5. reinstall Hotkey Feature Integrations 6. I've checked that service "On Screen Display" and "Lenovo Hotkej Client Loader" and "Lenovo PM Service" are working fine 7. I've checked HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> IBM --> TPHOTKEY --> OnScreenDisplay- but everything is set correctly 8. In Graphic Card properties menu "On Screen Display" is enabled I have no more ideas why it's not working. Hi,

I have a Compaq Presario with Realtek AC97
sound card. Despite the volume being set
to the highest, it is not high enough.
This is especially a problem when doing voice chat.
I have an NEC laptop (not sure which sound card)
and when I connect the same headphone as above
to the NEC, I get good volume.

So I am suspecting the Realtek AC97. But
I am not sure how to make sure that I have
the latest driver for it. When I go the
realtek.com.tw site, there is no driver there
for AC97. There are various other sites
which have drivers but they seem to have
lower versions than mine. I am not sure
I am reading/interpreting the version
numbers properly.

Here is what I see when I go to
control panel -> system -> device manager ->
Realtek AC97 ->properties -> driver
on the compaq presario, I see this version:
5.10.0.5480 dated 2/13/2004.

The versions I see on websites that have
AC97 driver have A3.6 or such numbers.

Can someone please give me some ideas about
what I can do to increase the sound volume?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm using Windows XP Home, and under Network Connections -> Local area connection status,

there is a popup window which tells you the status, duration, speed and activity of the Local Area Connection.

My problem starts here, under the same window, the Sent value for Activity is extremely bigger than the Received value. When I say "extremely bigger", I mean :

Sent = 18,590,047,886 packets
Received = 269,518 packets

I'm not sure if i was infected which a spam/adware, so I did a scan with AVG-Free. Nothing came up.

Now I'm attempting to record and analyze the traffic packets using Wireshark (AKA Ethereal), but I'm no expert so I don't/can't see anything fishy or out of place.

I'm not even sure if this is a problem to start with, maybe my computer is just sending out alot of random stuff to LAN? (which I'm sure it shouldn't happen anyways...)

Thanks in advance,

JB

I went to Control Panel /Sounds and Audio Devices/Volume but when I click on Place an Icon I get a message saying:
Windows cannot display the volume control on the taskbar because the Volume Control Program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

I didn't ever consciously remove the program so I don't understand this. How can I get it back? I don't have it on any disk. Thanks for any advice.

Question: Volume Control

Hello all. I have a Gateway MX6455 laptop, with Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP2. I was disabling some services and I seem to have disabled one that I would like to enable again, but I can't find it.

Typically, when I change the volume (on this laptop, it's FN + PGUP/PGDN), a large, neon green volume bar appears on the bottom showing how high the volume is, much like on a TV. But now, when I change the volume, I don't see the bar, so I'm not sure how high or low the volume is.

The volume control works, I just can't see what level the volume is at. This is probably something I could deal with or get used to, but it'd be nice to get it back if possible. Does anyone have any idea what process controls the on-screen volume level? Thanks in advance!

Answer:Volume Control

Hi. . .

Look in msconfig for un-checked boxes.
START | run | type msconfig

Look under start-up first, then services. If a service needs to be re-enabled go into services.msc.

I would say it is most likely a Gateway program as some laptops have the green horizontal volume bar and others don't.

If I go to 'Sounds and Audio Devices' in the Control Panel the "Place volume control icon in the taskbar" will still be checked even though the icon is missing. In my Taskbar Properties I have not selected "Hide inactive icons" nor "Group similar taskbar buttons" nor "Hide the Taskbar". This isn't a major thing until you open an email and have music blasting at you and you can't mute it or turn it down quickly. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I had recently bought a new computer, really nice and all. There was one problem though--when I played songs the vocals didn't play, only the background music. When this happened I freaked out until after just messing with the Volume Control a little bit I was able to fix it. Now that it's fixed I realized how much fun I could have singing to CDs without having the vocals! (yes I'm weird I would enjoy that) How do I change it back to the way it was? I've tried muting random things but it doesn't seem to do anything. In fact the only thing on the Volume Control that seems to do anything is "Wave" and the master control all the way to the left. I remember when I first looked at it a few of the other ones were muted. Anyone have any idea about what I'm talking about?

*Games (the bundle of games like solitaire)
*IE link in status bar and desktop
*WMP link in Start Menu
and most importantly...
*Volume Control in system bar

...and when i go to control panel -> sounds and audio devices...

the checkbox IS clicked for display in system bar. so i uncheck it, then check it, and...it tells me...it's not installed.

...

well i've managed to get the IE links back...i've decided i really don't use the WMP link, but the volume control and games I have not. could someone help me? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You could try doing a system restore to a point just prior to doing the
disk clean up. **See link below

Or

Do a sfc /scannow *see the below link

Question: Volume control

What would happen if I max all five settings; will it make my speaker louder?

Answer:Volume control

If you mean the SW Synth and Input Monitor levels that are currently at minimum or muted, then no, increasing or unmuting these won't alter the volume of your speakers.

SW Synth sets the level of sounds created when something is playing the soundcard's software synthesiser ("Soundblaster" type music in some mostly older games), Input Monitor is mostly used to allow you to also hear your own voice when using a headset.

Question: volume control

I was cleaning up some unused programs and windows options and somehow deleted the volume icon on the task bar. I can still adjust the volume using the control panel but when I click add icon to the taskbar it won't add it. How can I get it back? Windows XP.

Answer:volume control

First make sure its not in the system tray, and not just hidden since windows auto-hides icons after a while. I know its stupid, but got to ask cause i've been asked similar before and all it was, was windows auto-hiding it

If its not that, goto the task manager and under "processes" look for sndvol32.exe. (or just Sndvol.exe)

If its not there goto Start > Run then type "msconfig" and hit enter. Under the start up tab, check if sndvol32.exe (Sndvol.exe) is in there and that it is ticked.

If it is not, then go back to task manager, goto applications tab, and hit "New Task..."

then type in "c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe"
or "c:\windows\system32\sndvol.exe"

If it then appears, then the easiest step now is to create a shortcut to the file location you entered in and put this shortcut in
"c:\windows\start menu\programs\start up\"
and this should start it everytime you start windows.

If however you enter in either file location and it can't find them, then they are missing or damaged and is what is causing the missing volume icon. To repair this you'll need to extract the file from your windows CD to your windows\system32\ folder.

Hopefully this helps you. This is presuming your using windows volume control. Some use different ones, mine uses realteks instead so the above wouldn't work the same in my case.

Question: Volume Control

Seems I can not apply the volume icon to my task bar.

I am not that smart when it comes to computers but I have tried every thing and I had a friend help and he said that I should come here make this post stating what he found.

Seems I am missing this file name Sndvol32.exe from orignal OS

Whatever that mean. I sure do hope someone can help me.

Answer:Volume Control

If you still have the original OS CD (win XP install disc), put in in your primary cd drive, goto the startmenu, click run. type in cmd and click ok(brings you to the dos prompt). now type in "sfc /scannow". this checks and recopy's original system files that were installed with XP. It won't delete any files it just makes sure all the original files are in tack and how they should be. Good luck.

Question: Volume Control Box

Hello i came across this forum and thought maybe someone would be able to help me. i have some speakers i need to control the volume with a remote control instead of the knob on the speaker itself. Below is a list of hardward i would be using with the box.

That i Have Now:

DirecTV HD/DVR Box connected by HDMI to my TV

Bose Companion 2 Series II - PC multimedia speakers connected by 3.5mm Jack to my TV.
I dont like this because the sound is low and not the best. I have plug the speakers direct to the directv box and the sound is dramatically improved, the only problem is i can no longer control the volume using the remote. i have to use the knob on the speakers which makes it very inconvinent.

I had an idea for a simple volume control box that i think would be easy enough to make (if i knew what i needed). I put together a mock up to kinda of show you what i think would solve my problem. Do you you think it is possible? Anyways your input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi I'm new here!

I'm using Windows XP Professional. I was trying to delete junk files that I never use off my computer and in the search folder it had (all files and folders) and I deleted wavs, mp4s, MIDIs, etc. Now I go to watch a video and turn my speakers on and no sound comes out! I went to volume control and it says "There are no active mixer devices available." Anyone know what to do? I tried doing what the disk manager thing said but it didn't work! Thanks in advance!

Edit to add: I think I deleted the driver. I go to hardware and audio isn't listed!

Answer:My volume control is gone!

When I've tried to reinstall the volume control (which didn't work) it says "found new hardware" and keeps popping up with the HP Photosmart Series. This is already installed. How do I make that stop?

Ok, I have went to control panel found Sound & Volume Options. Open it up it has check mark by the mute button, unchecked it and then checked box beside put volume control in menu bar. It tells me "Cannot find volume program go to add/remove hardware" There is nothing in there to add or remove volume.

I just installed new sound card; but without volume control on the computer I cannot get it turned up.

Windows XP

Answer:Volume Control On Pc

Did you install the drivers for the card?

What card did you install?

Hey all,
I've never run into this issue before, so looking for some help:

The Volume Control in my Windows Media player does not work. The Windows Volume Control applet works fine.
I was using WMP10, and it didn't work, so I updated to WMP11, and still it didn't work. I disabled my one addon, and still no luck.

Would it be a registry issue? Any idea on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Joe
