ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock (EU) 4X10E52941
LENOVO ThinkVision LT1423p wired on usb 3.0LENOVO ThinkVision LT1423p wired on usb 3.0
not enough USB resources error with the docking station:::: with 90 watt AC Adapter

There are 2 monitors
LENOVO ThinkVision LT1423p
connected at the same time over the usb.3.0 port on the ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock (EU) 4X10E52941 then 2 USB 3.0 2.5 inch hard drives with 1.0 Tb each ......usb 3.0 Powered over the One Link Pro Dock .....simultaneous use is impossible with 90 watt AC Adapter... my question is ...a 90 watt AC Adater should still be sufficient ....or not...has anyone ever tried with with 135 Watt or 170 Watt AC Adapter...starting power performance may be sufficient...
my opinion is that the starting power performance with 90 watt AC Adapter is not adequate enough...or is the problem maybe somewhere else...Operating system is Windows 8.1Enterprise and all drivers are up to date and also the Windows 8.1Enterprise..is up to date...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

I have owned my Yoga S1 for several years now and apart from the endless early issues the docks (and many replacements), the stupid placing of the Ctrl key (still annoys me) and a problem i had with a repair (which to be fair was handled very well in the end - customer service was great) I've been happy.Except one things - power management.This morning, I came to my Yoga and the red light was glowing on the i in thinkpad, key board locks were on: touch keys (on most of my other computers pressing space a few times wakes from sleep state), nothing, press power button nothing, press button on dock - nothing., tried restart button on the dock - still nothing.So I do what, now that I think about it, I do about 75% of the time when returning to my yoga - hold the power button for 9 seconds and force a BIOS crash reset. I have applied all the drivers religiously over the years, BIOS updates Windows in up to date (Creator edition now) fully patched. I have tried the confusing variety of Lenovo bits that seem to part duplicate and part confuse existing Windows functionality. wait doesent' the docking station come with own power supply? if so then use that and not the laptop one since i'm quite sure it comes with own AC adapter so it can handle charge of laptop and powering the dock.

Hi all, We can't get Wake On Lan to work thorugh the new ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock. We are using the brand new X1 Carbon Type 20A7, which I believe is G2 of the Carbon. We have enabled WOL in BIOS and updated to newset BIOS. Anything else to do, or is it just not supported?  Thanks Kristian

Hi guys,kind of since using Windows 10 on our machines - Lenovo X1 Carbon (3rd gen) / X1 Yoga together with Onelink dock with 2 screens, whenever computer turn off the screens after timeout set in advanced power management (see picture bellow) and it is waked up by keyboard, when loged back to windows all windows are on the default screen, no matter on which screen it was before.It is anoying and so far we did not find any solution except you set some high value for timeout for turning screens off ... but it is not good way to have screens on all the time ...Any ideas?(all drivers updated, dock firmware is latest)

Hi, Everyone. Got me a nice little x270 to replace my old x201.  Happy enough with the machine, but getting it connected to my accessories (monitor, keyb, mouse, ethernet) is a bit of a chore. This machine appears to have a "proper" dock port on the bottom.  Is there a compatible ultradock available for the model 20HN x270?  By proper - I mean, Not USB.  A nice dock I can simply drop the machine into when I'm at the home office.. Thanks!

I have a simple question, Can I run 2 external monitors using the Ultrabase series 3 with the X230 docked and the lid open? My goal is to be able to see basically 3 displays. The main one would be the laptop and the other two extended monitors connected to the dock stations. One connected with VGA cable and the other with display port cable. Any help is appreciated.  Sebastiano

Dear all I am using a switched power connector strip for my PC environment devices (monitor, powered speakers, and the like) which is switched by a usb cable plugged into the PC. If the PC is off, there is no power on the usb port, so the connectors are all off which saves some electricity. Up to now I used a Lenovo basic usb 3.0 dock, where this worked flawlessly. Once the pc was switched off the USB power on the dock (at least at some usb sockets) went out. So I could switch the connector strip. I recently bought a OneLink Pro dock (in the meantime, and after a series of annoying problems, everything is up-to-date: Windows 10 drivers, dock firmware, Thinkpad BIOS). But there is one problem left. I first connected the dock to the Thinkpad, with the monitor attached and tried which usb ports would switch off power when the Thinkpad was off. When the PC was shut off only the one usb socket at the front (the one which is not labelled "always on") went off.  All others stayed on. Now it seems that out of a sudden /all/ ports stay on if the Thinkpad is off (completely off, not standby), also the one which was switched in the beginning. Only if the thinkpad is switched on, the usb power goes off for half a second or so and then is switched on again.  This is not what I want; I do not need all usb ports to be "always on", but only the one designed to be at the front of the dock. Is there a way to get the dock's u... Ok, the power adapter that came with my T440S has the following information (among others): Model: ADLX65NDC3AInput" 100-240 V - 1.5 A   50-60 HZOutput: 20V = 3.25 A I now understand that the '65' in the Model number stands for wattage. I wanted to buy a spare set of power cord and adapter for use at home. So I emailed the above information to the authorized Lenovo Reseller here, and they said yes, they have it.  I went to purchase it today. However, it is only now that I realized that the Wattage information for this new adapter is different from my old one. It is a 90 Wattage adapter. The information for this new adapter is as follows:  Model number: ADLX90NDC3AInput" 100-240 V - 1.5 A   50-60 HZOutput: 20V = 4.5 A  Because of this difference, I have not used the new adapter yet. Questions:  1) Can I use the new adapter (with higher wattage) for my T440S? 2) If the answer is yes, then what difference might there be (in terms of impact on battery, or any other parts of the laptop) as a result of this wattage difference in the new adapter? Answer:90 Watt Supplemental Power Adapter for Thinkpad T440S?

Power (in Watts) equals Voltage (in Volts) time Current (in Amps.) In this case 20V x 3.25A = 65W and 20V x 4.5A = 90W.
 
1. Yes you can use the 90W adapter in place of the 65W adapter without fear of damaging your ThinkPad. 
 
2. The higher wattage simply means that the adapter is capable of providing more power. In normal operation you won't see any difference. The 90W adapter will probably be able to recharge the battery faster than the 65W adapter. (I say "probably" because it depends on the battery recharging circuitry.) In any case there should be no negative effects from this.
 
3. (You didn't ask.) One difference between the two adapters is the 90W unit is larger and heavier than the 65W unit. This can be an issue if you travel. If you're like me and have two adapters, one permanently installed at my desk and the other in a travel bag, use the 90W one at the desk and put the 65W one in your travel bag.

 Hi, I have a X1 Carbon and a OneLink Pro dock. I have it setup with evey thing working, no issue's whatsoever.My concern is that when the laptop is completly charged while connected to the dock, is there any way to switch to battery while staying connected to the dock to be able to use the extrnal monitor, ethernet, and usb ports etc? What i have noticed is that even when the battery is 100% charged , the dock keeps charging as the battery doesnt fall below 100% and in long term it will reduce the battery life. Thanks.

If I understand, you are concerned that the OneLink Pro dock will overcharge the battery, which will reduce battery life? The battery is designed to prevent overcharging, so although the OneLink Pro dock is used and the meter shows fully charged, the battery is not being charged continuously.

Hey, Funny enough this has nothing to do with the dock itself. Just opened up laptop the other day and in the bottom right it says that "ThinkPad OneLink Dock Attached!" I've tried checking devices as well as looking for a usb port being used in my computer and theres nothing in either place. Just to repeat there is nothing attached in any usb port, in this laptops very short life there has yet to be anything in any usb port so I'm not quite sure whats going on. I have malwarebytes and I ran a scan today and found nothing. Any ideas?Morten Nissov

Answer:Carbon X1 4th Gen OneLink Dock Issue

The Onelink dock doesn't connect to USB, "Onelink" is lenovo's special dock/accessory port.  For a 4th gen, it should be Onelink+, which is a thin port about 1" wide located next to the power port on the left edge of the laptop.  That said, if the laptop says the dock is connected even though you don't have a onelink+ dock and have never connected one, there is definitely something wrong.  I'd probably suggest calling Lenovo support, and/or exchanging it for a different laptop through your reseller.

I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon 2nd with Windows 10 x64 and a Intel Display Video Card(driver Version 10.18.15.4256). I recently bought the One Link ProDock and; I can not get any monitor to show up via the prodock cable. I have tried 4 different monitors all the same, the monitors come up blank. I have also tried DVi and display ports on all monitors as well. I have the latest firmware for the prodock and the latest windows 10 driver for the prodock. Hello anybody, I got the brand new Carbon X1 with i7-5600U and OneLink Pro couple days ago and I have issues ever since.I have 2 main issues. 1. Laptop alone works like a charm, but when I connect the laptop to oneLink I can't get an image on my second exterior display via dvi nor via vga. The computer finds the screen and name etc, but when I want double or extend or only screen 2 projection nothing happens on the external screen. It keeps saying no input. I have tried to reinstall dock driver, change resolution, updated even bios, still nothing happens. 2. This problem is even more disturbing. If my computer is turned off or restarted while connected to OneLink dock pro, it won't start and freezes at lenovo logo. If I pust laptop to sleep while conected it boots normaly, if i turn it off not connected, then connect it and start it also boots normaly. But when it is shut down while conected it doesn't. Not even if i turn it off while connected, unplug it and turn it on. I have to do reset in this case. Guys I really need help, since those issues make my dock almost completly useless.HELP! Tilen_T

Hi I'm experiencing some problems with the combination of the Thinkpad Carbon X1 gen 2 machine and the onelink dock. The problem is basically that the X1 doesn't detect properly when the pc is detached from the onelink - and the other way around is the same (assuming that the pc hasn't been shutdown in the meantime). Anyone has experienced this or have suggestions for solution(s) I'd be happy to hear from you. Just some facts here: I have run a full system update and installed the onelink software package on the X1. Kind regards Thomas

I recently bought a X1 Yoga as a personal laptop to compliment my Gen 3 X1 Carbon. I istakenly thought the onelink dock would be indentical, only to find they use different ports. From what I can tell, Lenovo does not sell a converter cord. Has anyone run into this issue? Am I stuck having two docks on my desk or should I just convert to a generic USB doc (non-Lenovo)?

Sadly, there is no other way or workaround to use ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock with X1 Carbon 5th Gen as OneLink+ connector is not present in this system

Whenever I turn on one of our new 4th X1 laptops through the onelink+ dock I can't get any display on either of my screens (external and on the laptop). On some of them I'm able to enter our harddrive pwd, and then nothing happens, all screens go black, and nothing but the kill switch can get back the display. The monitor(s) do not go into power saving mode. This is on Windows 7 x64, with a std. clean image, and using the latest sccm driver package from Lenovo website + latest dock Onelink + dock driver. The issue also occurs on a manual clean install, using systemupdate to install all drivers.

I just got a OneLink docking station for my X1 Carbon which was recently updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. It seems that in order to use the monitors I hooked up to my docking station I need to keep the X1 Carbon's clamshell open which doesn't seem right to me. Shouldn't I be able to keep it shut with the monitor off and still be able to use the laptop via the docked monitors?

Hello to everyone, I have a very strange problem.I've purchased X1 carbon together with OneLink PRO dock. The problem I have, is that only thing I can use OneLink together is external monitor.USB ports does not work at all, there is no voltage at output, ethernet does not work too.Button on top also works and I can put carbon to sleep and wake him up from sleep.Other stuff does not work. I noticed that dock gets veery hot after 2-3 minutes when connected to power, as well as power supply for it, even if computer is fully charged.I also noticed that red led should be on if dock is active but it is not. I mean RED led on I letter of "ThinkPad". Is there a possibility that I received blown and not working dock from Lenovo?

Hello I am having issue with Thinkpad X1 Carbon wherein i can only get 1920x1080 resolution on my external monitor(capable of 2560x1440) when connected via HDMI port using Onelink Dock but when i connect using the display port direct from X1 Carbon, I can get the full resolution i want. I have updated the firmware of the Onelink Dock and the Video Driver of X1 Carbon, what else can i do? Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance!!!

Answer:X1 Carbon Output Issue with Onelink Dock

The hdmi port on the OneLink port is hdmi 1.3 only, so it doesn't support qhd resolution. You should get the OneLink pro dock with its integrated displayport.

We have one setup with 2 Dell 24" Ultrasharp monitors (U2412M) using the display port and DVI port.  The fact that I couldn't get native resolution of the screens when having dual monitors is strike one but I understand.  If you only have 1 of them i would get native resolutions with the display port. Anyways I had problems with the machine crashing and always when docked.  I made sure the dock had the latest firmware and that the driver was also updated.  It crashed so much that eventually the hard drive got corrupted.  It kept showing NTFS errors so Lenovo replaced the drive for me.  I was really crossing my fingers hoping the drive was bad in the first place thus all my problems. Nope it still crashes! So disapointed because the client loves her laptop but just can't use it with the onelink pro dock.Anyone have a similiar experience or recommendations?  I already have the latest drivers too.

Sometimes when I connect the Onelink connector from the Onelink+ dock, the ethernet port is not detected.  The monitor shows up and usb ports function but there is no local area connection listed in the netword adapters.  If I disconnect the Onelink connector from the X1 and reconnect it, then suddenly the local area connection shows up and is there until the next time I redock the Onelink+.   Is this a known bug?  Anyone else having this problem? This is on Windows 7 x64 with all the latest drivers installed from the Lenovo website.

HI I have a X1 Carbon and just bought a OneLInk PRO Dock thinking I could use this as a port replicator ... only to discover that I didnt do my homework appropriately :-( as it turns out, the Onelink PRO connector does not exist on the version of the X1 Carbon I have (seems like the X1 Carbon 2014 model does so I guess I have a previous model :-( ) whta is the solution/work-around for me  - ie how do I use the OneLInk PRO with my seemingly older version of the X1 Carbon ? Thx in advance Claus

Hello, I bought a X1 gen2 and a onelink pro and noticed that the DVI port does not seem to work with a DVI cable. It only works with the supplied VGA to DVI adapter. Is this correct and it will not work with just a normal dvi to dvi cable?I also tried a VGA to Displayport and it made the X1 constantly detect and undetect the monitor making the screen just flash and windows detect sound. I have also updated all drivers using the lenovo updater and bios. Also updated the Dock with newest firmware.

Hello, I purchased two external monitors to connect with my X1 Carbon, 1 through the Onelink Dock and the second directly to the laptop's HDMI port. My problem is when I connect the two external monitors only one of them gets detected. For example, the monitor that is connected through the OneLink dock gets detected by the laptop and functions properly; however the second monitor that is connected directly to the laptop does not get detected so I am unable to use it. If I disconnect the OneLink dock (which one of the monitors is connected to) then that monitor obviously disconnects and the other monitor that is connected directly to the HDMI port on the laptop gets detected and connects. Both external screens are connected via VGA to HDMI.  If anyone has encountered this problem before or has a solution so I can run both external monitors simultaneously that would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

I can't seem to get the OneLink Pro Dock to charge iphones?  I've updated all software and drivers for the laptop, but I can only charge using the USB ports on the X1 Carbon.  I connected an old Blackberry I had lying around and it didn't seem to have a problem with that.  Do iPhones draw too much power for the dock?   I am using the 90W power adapter.

I just received a Dell UP2516D 3K display which works great when directly connected to the mDP port of the laptop. When connecting the same screen to the DP port on the dock, the screen detects the cable connection, but never receives any signal. I'm using the mDP to DP cable which Dell shipped with the screen. I was able to detect the firmware version of the dock using the 1.0 firmware updater. It has version 2.24.00 installed. My laptop has the latest Intel Graphics drivers installed (20.19.15.4331) from Lenovo, the latest driver for the Onelink Pro dock (1.08.36). I first thought the issue was with the cable, but connecting the screen and the dock with a high quality 1.2 DP cable doesn't change anything. The screen works fine when connected directly to the laptop and it too has the latest firmware installed. Defective dock? I may try it with a diffrent screen on next week by taking the device to work, but I was hoping it would "just work". Any thoughts?

In the device manager, check if you have a yellow warning triangle for the graphics card ? Mine works kind of the same way ? connected to the PC the signal is OK, using the Pro dock ? no picture. My problem is the Driver for the Intel HD Graphics card. When autoupdate and I get the latest driver ? no signal, I then manually have to install an earlier driver and I am ok until autoupdate again

I want to record the audio from another PC's Windows Media Player by plugging its LINE OUT to the X1 Carbon's OneLink Pro Dock LINE IN (Headset/microphone combo connector).  I know that this PC's LINE OUT works because I can plug either earphones into it or external speakers and this works for me. Setting the Enable for the external Microphone under the recording tab the Sound dialog box of the Hardware and Sound of the X1's Control panel does not do it.  Even if the X1's embedded microphone is disabled, this also does not work for me. I can record sound via the X1's embedded microphone, but I want to record via the LINE IN of the OneLink Pro Dock. I have the latest Windows 8.1 updates and I have the latest OneLink Pro Dock software installed, Version 1.08.31. Thanks, JW

We have a few Lenovo displays we are replacing and wanted to get some USB-C displays for our few MacBook Pro users, but also work with our OneLink Pro & Ultra Docks. Ultra Dock works great with DisplayPort & HDMI. The MacBook Pro's work great with USB-C and Apple's USB to ethernet gets us all set there. The issue is the X1 (gen 3) with OneLink Pro dock. When we setup the dock with DisplayPort it shows the display is connected in the Display Properties, along with resolution and extended desktop, but the display itself shows nothing and has an orange light. We tried 3 different docks and laptops, 2 different P24h displays, and 3 different DisplayPort cables. Confirmed both the display and dock support DisplayPort 1.2. Any idea on what I can do to get this going? So far this is the best display we could find that covers all our bases for our needs.

Since 1 year I am having the same issue with my external monitor. From time to time signal goes off for less than 4 sec.- mother board changed twice- dock OneLink pro changed twice- drivers updated many timesModel I have is : 20A7 I sent emails and emails to your support and no answers since 1 month !!!!! I know there are some documented procedure to update some drivers and software. I did ALL ! Nothing solved.  By the way, now I have my external audio conected to the dock which is not connected immediateley. I need to remove and reconnect the OneLink to get it working.

Hi, How can I configure Bitlocker in X1 Carbon using Win8.1 so that the laptop won't ask the freaking Bitlocker Recovery Key every time when I boot the laptop IN the OneLink Pro Dock station AFTER I've used the machine WITHOUT the docking station (or vice versa)? Bitlocker works OK if I boot the laptop every time in same mode (using always docking station OR not using it ever). However, I need to use the laptop in both modes; with the docking station (at work) and without it (at home and when travelling). And I'm not wanting to type the looooooooong Bitlocker Recovery Key every time when I boot the laptop in different mode.  How can I tell for the Bitlocker that both these modes are trusted ones?

I believe this is one of the items fixed in a recent BIOS update, although I couldn't find the issue logged in the release notes.  Can you make sure you're using the latest BIOS?

Hi Lenovo, My X1 have Winsows 10 (x64) with all latest drivers and BIOS update and with Onelink dock helper app in system tray ver:1.10.16. My issue is, that whenever i attach an USB device (even on the laptop itself) the dock disconnets and reconnects. Meaning, the network  flaps and audio too. The external display however remains turned on and does not glitch. I have attached a PC/SC smartcard reader on the dock thru USB and happens the same thing when the smartcard is removed from the reader and reinserted.Attached is the picture of the system notification that pops up. In windows logs there are no alerts too. Regards Aljosa

Hello I have a brand new 3 Gen X1 Carbon with the Intel HD 5500 graphics chip. I also bought the Onelink Pro Dock docking station. Can it support two external monitors? I have two 24" ASUS dvi/display port/ VGA monitors plugged into the Dock. But it does not seem to be able to support multiple monitors.  Can anyone help? Jym

A few days ago I was prompted to install an urgent BIOS update.  I followed the screen prompts and the system rebooted and flashed the BIOS.  Our company laptops all have Sophos encryption, which requires a separate login prior to booting the OS (Win7).  I've always been able to enter user ID and password information on that screen using the USB keyboard connected to my OneLink+ dock (which is connected to the laptop). Following this BIOS update, I can no longer use the keyboard or mouse (also USB) connected to the OneLink+ dock until the OS boots.  I have to open my laptop, enter my Sophos ID and password on the laptop keyboard, then close the laptop.  Once the OS (Win7) boots, I can use both the USB devices fine.  Interestingly enough, the monitor attached to the OneLink+ dock functions just fine before the OS boots up. I checked BIOS settings and couldn't see anything there that looked odd or out of place.  I also checed Device Manager to see if there were any warnings or issues, and didn't see anything. I tried to downgrade the BIOS to an earlier version, but once you are above 1.23 that is not possible.  I did flash to the latest release - 1.27 - but that did not fix the issue. So I'm stuck with a rather awkward login process which was not an issue until this BIOS version was installed a few days ago.  I've reviewed other post for similar issues but have not found anything that points at a solution thus far... Hello. I would like to resolve my problem with my E540 with OneLink Dock Pro.  When dock is connected to my notebook and I press power button, backlight of display lights up, but display stays black, no lenovo logo, nothing... Sometimes it shows logo but it freezes on this logo too. When I disconnect dock, notebook boots up normally. I tryed to disconnect monitor, keyboard and mouse from dock too, but it has no effect. This "freezing" seems to be happening only when dock is connected. On charger notebook boots up normally. And last note, this is happening only on "cold" start, restart works normaly. Problems started just after flashing new firmware to dock (v. 2.30) and BIOS update (v. 2.23). I do not know what made this problems, because I was doing these updates together. Thanks for any answer...

Hi to all, I have a new chalange  I have aquired a brand new thinkpad Yoga and onlelink dock, is was the first time I bought Lenovo and I'm reaally very disapointed. So far each day a new problem, since the cursor when connect to an external monitor move alone, etc.. My biggest problem so far is the onelink dock, when connect the laptop is always detecting the hardware in the dock, making that each 30 seconds you have a network card, then dont.....or the usb devices, etc...... I really appreciate some help on this, does someone also have this problem ? I have tried do update all software and drivers from the PC and dock, and still no sucess, does the solution pass by aquiring a HP or Toshiba ??????

I have the Onelink (basic) dock, and problems seem to be related to the ASIX AX88179 embedded USB3 to Ethernet controller. The System can't start the hardware then constantly tries to restart the driver.The USB2 version of this hardware (ASIX AX88178) works fine with the TPY as a dongle I had laying around.I bet it is a crappy driver from ASIX that is the root of many problems.So, try disabling the Ethernet controller in Device Manager and see if that helps.Don't know, I'm trying to return my dock to B&H right now.So, what is the embedded hardware in the PRO?Deleting the driver for the USB2 version doesn't help either.

I have a 3444-CUU that I really love. When I first got it I realised the wireless adapter would just randomly stop working. I updated every possible driver and I'm still having the same issues. All I can do is reset the adapter to get it kicking again. I'm not sure if the wifi care is soldered or if it could be removed or replaced but I'm really leaning towards it being a hardware issue. It'll either stop working could turkey, won't detect any wireless networks or it'll stop working and I can still view other wireless networks but I cannot connect to them. Resetting the adapter is the only option. As I'm writing this right now the wireless has gone out again. So I have to reset the adapter for 5-10 more minutes of internet just so that I can post this. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

(There is another thread on this, but it relates to Windows 8.  I am running Win 7 Pro 64 bit.) I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon type 3443-CTO.  The Wi-Fi adapter -- never the stablest thing on earth -- is getting flakier and flakier.  I am constantly having to reset or disable/re-enable it.  The "connect automatically" settings for some of my existing Wi-Fi routers do not appear, so that I have to connect manually every time.   Any suggestions woiud be greatly appreciated.  Should I ask tech support for new hardware?

To Whom It May Concern, This has been a nightmare trying to get support for a 3-year Worldwide Warranty product that my company purchased a little over 1 year ago. The dock's DisplayPort seem to not be working properly. The monitor that is connected to it will randomly go blank. I've tried updating to the latest drivers and firmware for the dock. I tried switching monitors and switching cables. I've tried moving around USB devices to make sure it isn't interfering with operation. I've tried connecting the bare minimum to the devices and the problem persisted. I need the DisplayPort as I am running a dual monitor setup. I contacted the Customer Service line to get support. To my dismay, I was told my product was not under warranty and had to send in a copy of the invoice for my product. The support rep gave me an email address to their entitlement department and was told I will receive a response within 24-48 hours. It's been 96 hours now and no response. I try calling again to check on my status, but told the same thing and that they don't have the service case in their system. I hope some Lenovo rep can see this and provide some assistance.

I do recall seeing other reports of this issue, e.g. Thinkpad Yoga OneLink Dock Management - a whopping 331 to 821 Mb memory usage! but I couldn't find any solution. I have this dock as well but have never experienced this situation.
 
All I can suggest is to ensure you have the latest software version installed, v10829 4 Aug 2014.

Hi Guys! We got 6 Thinkpad E550, all with OneLink Pro Docks.All of them are connected with one or two external Monitors (only DP or DVI).From time to time the Monitors starts flickering/blinking black. Its not reproducable. I've already patched all drivers and firmwares. OS was Windows 7 (64) and is now Windows 10 (64). I have a Thinkpad OneLink Pro Dock (DU9033S1 with firmware version 2.21.000) connected to a Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop running Windows 7 (ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Driver version 1.08.29). To the DP++ output of the docking station have I connected a Kramer DP to HDMI adapter and a homemade breakout cable (so I can connect to the DDC lines, HPD, DDC 5V power and CEC) to a Benq G2400W monitor. To the DDC-lines on the breakout cable have I connected a Total Phase Beagle I2C analyzer. As you can see from the I2C data I have captured and copied to the next post, are there several issues with this docking related to "High-Definition Multimedia Interface Specification Version 1.3a" chapter 8.5. I have not analyzed the DVI-output, but you should probably verify that it works according to the spec as well. The HDMI output on the laptop seems to work fine. I hope you can forward this to the developers who are responsible for the firmware on the docking so they can fix it. I current own an x1 carbon gen2 wqhd touchscreen device and two thinkpad onelink pro docks to facilitate quick desktop environment docking in two different locations. I'm looking at upgrading to the new x1 yoga 2nd [ or 1st ] generation wqhd touchscreen replacement solutions. Looking at one of the video reviews it seems like the docking port on them is not the appx inch wide connector a onlink pro dock has on the end of its cable. Does the x1 yoga 2nd [ and 1st ] generation device work with thinkpad onelink pro dock?

Hi, I have a ThinkPad Edge E531 that I am experiencing issues with whilst the OneLink docking station is plugged in.- the laptop will not wake from sleep mode. Hibernation seems to work better, but waking the computer from sleep the screen goes black and the computer is stuck in some weird idle mode where nothing happens- when booting the computer the above happens, the computer is stuck idling and won't boot up properly until I force shut down and unplug the docking station- sometimes when booting the computer the OneLink docking station will not be found. I have to either a) unplug and plug in until it works or b) restart the computer and hope it works Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?I am running the computer on Windows 10. TL;DRNon-functioning booting/waking up from sleep whilst OneLink is plugged in, and sometimes OneLink not recognized at all. Hi, I have issues with onelink pro dock.  My NTB: latest drivers and bios 1.6. And also have an lastest drivers for dock.In BIOS i set USB 3.0 ENABLED. 1. first I have issue with LAN network on dock. Sometimes works sometimes not. In system manager if LAN not work I see: some "unknown device USB"2. So I read about update fiwmware of dock. I donwloaded fwdphb01.exe witch bring dock fw to ver2.17.000. Network flaping didnt change and my external displays stop working .3. I tried to update with fwdphb02.exe to fw 2.21.000. No change and sound from dock stop work. 4. I want to update again to newer firmware by fwdphb03.exe. But this dont work. For a sec it shows some box and dissapears. 5. If I download latest fw update tp_onelink_pro_dock_fw.exe it wont update bycause this error "read back chip information failed". So now network still work or not work. External display I see in resolution change but when I set display to extend it give me no change. So cant use them.  Can any one give me an advice! Thanks a lot!

We have 10+ Lenovo Thinkpad E560's in the company that will not boot with dock attached. I have updated the dock software, the bios, all windows updates are installed. I have check the event logs and there is nothing there indicating an error. I have gone through the BIOS settings to change boot order to HDD first instead of PXE. All Laptops are running Windows 10 64bit.

The mouse feels a little bit sluggish as well. I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 20BT for work and I use a OneLink Pro Dock in both the office and at my home office for the work laptop. I also have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 3444 (Gen1) that is my personal laptop. How can I connect my personal X1 3444 to the OneLink Pro dock so I can also use the large monitor, keyboard and mouse at home? The plug on the OneLink Pro is too large for the X1 3444. Is there an adapter or a way to connect via USB to connect to my peripherals?

hey, i use my ThinkPad Yoga (20CD0038GE, Windows 8.1 64bit) with the ThinkPad OneLink Dockingstation and have several softwareproblems. -the mouse-cursor always jumps across the display and pushs the left and right button by itself.-when i download the newest microsoft driver for my keyboard an mouse, the reaction is getting very slow.-sometime i start the yoga, the display is shown upside down.-sometimes i switch it into the energy save mode, it starts to boot and turn off itself until i stop it.-when i plug a usb in the thinkpad, it opens the folder up to 25 times i allready called the technician from the shop. he meant its would be a problem of my yoga and sent me a new one but the problems are still there. does anyone have the same problems or can help me? Hello, I recently installed a ThinkPad OneLink Pro to go along with a user's X! Carbon.  Once I had the drivers installed everything appears to work ok except for when the user has external speakers connected to the dock.  The speakers are USB powered and also plug into the headphone jack. When inside of "Sound Options" within the control panel you see the device light up once I plug the headphone cable in but no audio comes out of the speakers.  It continues to come out of the speakers on the laptop itself. Troubleshooting 1.  I connected the USB cable to the laptop and left headphone connection in dock.  No audio from external speakers audio played through laptop speakers.2.  I connected the USB cable to the laptop and connected the headphone cable to the laptop.  Audio comes from the external speakers.3. Reconnected everything back to dock and disabled speakers on laptop.  No audio from external speakers but audio still comes from laptop speakers4. Same setup as #3 but enabled laptop speakers and manually set External speakers to be default playback.  No audio from external speakers...audio came through laptops speakers. To me this seems to point to the dock but I'm not sure what I can do.  I checked the utility for the dock itself but all those functions do is point you to sections in Control Panel. As a side note she had a different Lenovo dock before that did not power the lap... Hello again! Addition: It seems to work with a 19" Hanns.G HW191 screen. Even on higher resolutions (1440x900) used than with the 24" BenQ (tried pretty much every resolution possible), so maybe it's just compatibility with the screen or maximum possible screen size? LG AND BenQ however? Seems weird to me.The 19" is, just like the others were, plugged in via DVI with an HDMI adapter. Any ideas so far? We have 10+ Lenovo Thinkpad E560's in the company that will not boot with dock attached. I have updated the dock software, the bios, all windows updates are installed. I have check the event logs and there is nothing there indicating an error. I have gone through the BIOS settings to change boot order to HDD first instead of PXE. All Laptops are running Windows 10 64bit.

I've just purchased a ThinkPad Yoga and a OneLink Basic dock. The dock works fine with Ethernet, USB and Audio, but the HDMI port isn't functioning. I've updated at the drivers (including OneLink drivers), but still no signal on my monitor.  I've checked the monitor and cable on another machine and they work fine. Can someone please help. Thanks.

I could not connect via Ethernet using the TPY (Win 8.1) and Onelink Dock (basic).  With all updated software, the TPY kept trying to connect to the USB3-ethernet in the Dock but could not start the hardware. I received a USB device not recognized which cycled during a session and seemed to screw up other parts of the system. Thinking it was a driver issue I uninstalled all the ASIX drivers and removed all the driver packages associated with the ASIX AX88179 and AX88178 controller   (see:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875.aspx  ). Then ran Windows update which downloaded yet another ASIX package. I downloaded both the Win 7 and Win 8 driver packages from ASIX, unzipped and looked these over.  I modified the *.inf files and deleted all the non-english segments with asian or Russian characters at the end of the file leaving only the English segment and saved these on the C: drive.  (http://www.asix.com.tw/download.php?sub=driverdetail&PItemID=131) I reloaded the OneLink drivers from Lenovo.  Ethernet not recognized.From Device Manager,  I tried to update the Ethernet controller driver to the new downloaded, modified Win 8 driver and received the message that the driver was the current driver so it would not update. Instead, I had DM browse for the Windows 7 driver, and loaded that.  Ethernet not recognized. Then I had DM browse for the modified Windows 8 driver.  Thi... When using the OneLink Dock my Yoga says plugged in not charging. I have the supplied 65W power brick connected to the OneLink - powerbrick is working fine if plug into Yoga. However when connected via OneLink the power getting to Laptop is around 8-9W as per below and is not charging the battery. Can anyone help or do I have a faulty OneLink Dock?ThanksIan

I believe it is not the OneLink Dock. I believe it is the Battery Maintenance Setting on your laptop.  See:http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/W-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/ThinkPad-W530-gets-quot-Plugged-in-but-not-cha... This explains that the battery should not remain 100% charged plugged-in over the long term (as would occur with the OneLink or the power cable using your laptop like a desktop). Go to Power Manager and the Battery tab  andBattery Maintenance. If your battery maintenance setting is "optimized," it will not begin to recharge until it is below 50%. You can set it to recharge before that. The link above says that the Battery maintenance is under Advanced settings but mine was under Basic.I have a OneLink and mine is doing the same thing. it also does it with the power cable alone. I have only had my E540 for a few days. I will post again if it does not re-charge below 46-50%.

Hi all, I'd like to share my bad experience with Lenovo. I bought two months ago in USA a Thinkpad Yoga and an Onelink Pro Dock. I brought it to Brazil and began to use with minor problems - my external monitor used to flash sometimes, going dark and returning after few seconds. Then I updated the firmware and since then I could never more use an external monitor with the dock. Even though it has an international guarantee, the Brazilian support says they cannot validate my dock and fix it, so it is useless. U$ 180 threw in the garbage. Yesterday a vertical black line appeared in my LCD.  I called the support again and they schedule a visit of a technician to change my LCD. I said I want a new computer, since I bought a brand new expensive computer, and don?t want a refurbished computer two months later. I don?t know how it would be if I was in US, but it look like here in Brazil Lenovo support doesn?t care a lot with their customer. I am very regret for buying a Lenovo. Spent almost U$ 200 in a dock that doesn?t work and U$ 1400 in a brand new computer that will be refurbished two months later. I just bought the Thinkpad because had read it is a reliable and durable notebook, but seems it is not definitely the case. Keep using my 5 years old Sony Vaio and holding papers with my new Lenovo. That?s a shame.

Hi all,Just bought an Thinkpad S540/Windows 8.1 with a Onelink Pro docking station. When connecting the laptop though the docking station, random touches appear sometimes on my external screen, partially taking over control. Making my combination Thinkpad S540 Onelink Pro totally unusable. I updated al drivers, installed all Windows 8.1 updates - to no avail. The problem seems only to occur if the lid of the laptop is closed but not if it is open. Grateful for any help,Carsten

Hi Guys! We got 6 Thinkpad E550, all with OneLink Pro Docks.All of them are connected with one or two external Monitors (only DP or DVI).From time to time the Monitors starts flickering/blinking black. Its not reproducable. I've already patched all drivers and firmwares. OS was Windows 7 (64) and is now Windows 10 (64). Hello everyone,  I would like to connect 3 external monitors to Yoga 260. I found out that conection of 3 external displays is feasible. It is associated with turning off the native LCD, whcich is OK for me. I would like to use ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock (40A40090XX). The docking station has 2 DP and 1 VGA. The issue is I'd rather use 2 DP from docking station and one DP which is on board Yoga instead of VGA. Is such configuration possible? I would like to figure it out before I will buy the station. I've found document: https://support.lenovo.com/uu/en/documents/pd029622 , but there is nothing on using docking stations' DP and native DP in one configuration, simultaneously. Whether it is because on board DP will be disabled? The alternative is MST (eg. http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/multi-stream-transport-mst-hub.html). Both devices are at a comparable price, and if I had confidence that the docking station will work with onboard DP simultaneously, I would choose it.  Thank you in advance, best regardsM

Since no one has replied, I would like close this discussion.  Still someone might benefit for the information, that: - I have purchased and tested ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock- it works with 3 external monitors using 2 DP from docking station and one mini-DP from Yoga itself- working configuration is as follows: 2 displays are connected to OneLink+ Dock with one active DP to DVI converter, one passive DP to DVI converter and the last one (Yogas? port) with active mini-DP to DVI converter- I didn?t try to use for example 2 or 3 passive DP to DVI converters (but I guess that 2 should do the job, but 3 will probably won?t work)- when OneLink+ Dock is attached, the HDMI port in Yoga is not working! (the information one can also find in BIOS, but no materials on-line) Best regards,Maciej

Hello! I've just got new ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock station and connected it to my monitors (2 x ViewSonic VA2246M-LED 22"): first via DisplayPort to DVI cable;second via DVI to DVI cable;The one connected via DisplayPort works well. Another one connected via DVI-DVI cable doesn't get any signal from Dock Station.Even if I unplug DisplayPort cable, the second monitor is still black. My laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 3rd. I've updated Dock Station's firmware to the latest one from Lenovo website and I did the same for Intel Graphics driver.Still nothing. Hi there, I have an E450 with Windows 7 64-bit Professional, Enabled and Activated TPM on the BIOS, Enabled BitLocker and waited for encryption to complete.  Few restarts and all working fine. I have installed the latest drivers and firmware for the OneLink Pro, as of today 8/20/2015, from the support website. When I connect the OneLink Pro all works fine, NIC, Video, USB, but then when I restart the machine BitLocker kicks in asking for the Password as if the hardware had changed.  Once enter the password it boots into Windows fine but after each restart it will ask again.  Until you disconnect the docking station then following restart is ok no prompt. I've tried some recommendations like suspending and resuming BitLocker while the docking station is connected and it works, after a restart no prompt for password, but when you disconnect the docking and restart it prompt for the password again and again until you connect the docking or suspend/resume bitlocker. Now, I have an exact configuration with a X1 Carbon 3rd generation, doing exactly the same steps and at the end with the OneLink Pro connected or not when restarting it does not prompt for BitLocker password. Finally, we tested the E450 with the older USB 3.0 DOCK and it worked just fine, connected/restart no BitLocker, disconnected/restart no BitLocker. I was on the phone with Lenovo support for 1 hour and 30 minutes, they kept transfering me from the Hardware dept to... After updating Onelink Pro Dock to firmware version 2.30.000, system boot is no longer possible with closed lid.Opening lid after starting boot doesn't help, only way out seems to be an emergency power off.Booting system with open lid works fine, even when closing lid before logon.System is Thinkpad Yoga 15 running Windows 10 Pro.Thinkpad Onelink Pro Dock driver is 1.08.36Setting Boot Time Extension in BIOS doesn't help anyProblem didn't show up before firmware update.Any suggestions?

Ever since upgrading the bios from 1.20, booting or rebooting my thinkpad yoga s1 results in a blank screen after initial post. I'm currently on the latest 1.26 bios for the thinkpad yoga and the latest firmware for the onelink pro as well this is similar to someone's post on here https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-11e-Windows-E-and-Edge/E531-won-t-boot-when-connected-to-OneLi... Called lenovo support and they indicated to downgrade back to 1.17 but read the firmware and after install of latest firmware the lowest firmware I can downgrade to is 1.22 which I tried but it still hangs on boot if the onelink pro is connected during bootup. Anyone else getting this or have a fix? Lenovo, hope you read this and fix the bios, makes the whole point of the dock pretty pointless to me.

Hello fellow users / Lenovo, In our office we have several X1 Carbons and several ThinkPad USB 3.0 Docks (0A33970) located all over the office. We typically bring our X1 Carbons around and use each other's Dock during the course of work. However, we recently face a problem with the Ethernet interface not working with other Docks, other than the Dock that the driver was installed with. Using other Docks, the Ethernet interface comes up as a generic Ethernet device with a yellow warning triangle inside Control Panel. Using the Dock that the driver was installed with, the Ethernet device works as normal. It should be pretty easy to replicate this behaviour, just get an X1 Carbon (fresh, Windows 8.1) and connect a USB 3.0 Dock to it, and install appropriate drivers.Verify that the Ethernet port works correctly. Next, disconnect the Dock and connect another Dock to the X1 Carbon. Observe that the Ethernet interface does not work, and see the yellow warning triangle icon under Control Panel. Uninstalling and Reinstalling the drivers with the new Dock doesn't work either. Only the Dock that the driver was originally installed with will work.

My Onelink Plus dock behaves very strangely, I cannot use the Ethernet port reliably:I bought recently a Thinkpad Yoga 460 ? after my previous Thinkpad ? and an Onelink plus dock. After docking I have to disconnect and reconnect all cables from/to the dock to make the Ethernet work.After that it works great for a period, but sometimes it loses the connection. I have to unplug again all the cables and reconnect them to make it work. To the dock I attached the following: USB keyboard, mouse, external drive, DisplayPort cable (with DP to DVI adapter) and the Ethernet cable. I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (ver. 1607) from a clean install. Every device in the Device Manager seems to be OK, even the ThinkPad OneLink Plus Dock Ethernet.I have the latest software and firmware.Lenovo Companion cannot find new updatesI have updated the BIOS to ver 1.46.I have also updated the Onelink plus dock firmware (Version: 2.33.000). Any idea? This way the dock is useless.

Both are running fine. But it is impossible to start the PC when the dock is connected: The screen freeze at the red square LENOVO display from the Bios, windows 10 pro doesn't start.

I have to disconnect the dock, et relaunch the PC to enable a normal start. After the start, I can reconnect the dock.

I updated all drivers, flashed the bios, latest FW of the dock and even resetted Windows, but without success.

Lenovo support wants to change the laptop (!), it's brand new!

I thought maybe one of the topgun member of this community might have a better idea.

Hi, The icon for the OneLink Dock in the tasktray is missing v 1.10.11, Windows 10 Pro. Any way to fix this. I notice this happening when I lock the screen and returning back to the desktop.?Also, from the screen capture, even though it says "ThinkPad OneLink Dock Attached!" I do not have it attached to the laptop.??

Hi, I've just setup my new Thinkpad Yoga with OneLInk Pro dock, and connected it up to my 2 external monitors (both through the dock, one via DisplayPort, the other via DVI).  I'm not having any resolution issues (which seems to be a common problem), but most applications are slightly blurry when viewed on the external displays (but crystal clear when viewed on the Thinkpad display).  This includes all Microsoft Office programs and Chome.  The only application I've tried so far which is crystal clear on all screens is SAS. I was wondering if this is a common problem, and if so, is there an easy fix? Thanks

When a Windows 8 ThinkPad Yoga is connected to a ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock (Model DU9033S1) which has a sound cable placed into its headphone jack, every few seconds the sound will alternate between the laptop speakers and the docking station. It appears that the connection to the docking station is briefly lost (sound comes from laptop speakers), and then re-established (sound goes to docking station). However, during this "disconnect/connect", all other aspects of the docking station are unaffected (video, network, USB).
 
Updating BIOS, audio drivers, dock drivers & firmware have had no impact. If sound cable is removed from dock, then behaves normally (sound goes to dock only). Happens with multiple Thinkpad Yogas and multiple docking stations.

Hi, I have stuggled at lot with getting new 27" Dell 16/10 screen to work with my OneLink Dock. After finding out the DVI-1 connector was the limiting the resolution by connecting the screen using HDMI directly to the Yoya it worked perfectly. ProblemNow i'm trying to put the OneLink Dock back in the loop so i only need to connect the one cable when docking. I tried to connect using a Display port cable since the dock doesnt have HDMI. And nothing happens. The screen is not getting a signal from the dock. It is a brand new cable baught for this one cause, and the screen port works. Is it a driver issue, or is there something i can do to solve this issue and get my all Lenovo setup working in the office. /RegardsHenrik

I have a user with a ThinkPad Yoga S1 and a OneLink dock (NOT the pro version).  Periodically when she plugs it into her PC the network connectivity doesn't connect.  generally this requires reseating and restarting the computer for it to come up.  it's on the most recent firmware, though there is a bios update for the yoga.  I have 4 of these configurations all used by C-level managers at our company.  One other has reported similar issues in the past but they seem to have subsided as of late.  Are there any known issues related to this, or anyone else experiencing similar?

Hi, I have ThinkPad E550 running Windows 10 (no factory installed software is here, as soon as I bought it, I wiped the hard drive, put in SSD instead of DVD drive, installed clean Windows and downloaded the neccesary drivers from support page) and I bought Onelink Pro Dock. I installed the driver I found here, but when I'm using the dock, every few minutes, or sometimes even more often, something passes out.I have connected ethernet, keyboard + mouse, two monitors over DVI and DIsplayport, one monitor over USB 3 to VGA adapter and sometimes other stuff like phone os flash discs. Nothing is connected to the ThinkPad except But I have the following problems:- Sometimes, the video goes out. Both monitors on DVI and DisplayPort goes black for few second. Usually, audio over DisplayPort goes out too, but very often, it stays out when the video is back.
