Question: I have Nokia BH-900 bluetooth headset and X60s laptop, how to use the headset for VoIP calls?

Hi All, I have Nokia BH-900 bluetooth headset and X60s laptop, how to use the headset for VoIP calls? The OS is Windows XP. So far I have added the bt device to the device list, but for some reason the device connection does not activate, ie the headset keeps blinking green, not blue. And I can not find the bt device from any settings. I already tried the search on this forum, but the given instructions did not seem to match my case, or I did not understand them BRJorma

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm beginning to use skype quite a lot on my desktop, and I'd like to purchase a wireless bluetooth headset with an inbuilt mic please, but my desktop does not have in built bluetooth, so id like suggestions please. Not sure if i need to purchase a bluettooth dongle, then get a headset, and even whether it will work this way please. If it would work, please advice on which bluetooth headset, nothing too pricey please, im just looking for something that i can step away from my desktop with for a few feet and still get a good enough single. budget is £25 or below. I'm currently using a cheap 99p wired headset which i got from a 99p store which works ok for now

Answer:I'm looking for a nice but cheap Wireless bluetooth headset for skype calls with a mic .

Do you need to use a headset at all? I only ask as my webcam has a built in mic, and the standard PC speakers are fine?

I'm having problems connecting a nokia headset to a laptop via bluetooth. The laptop can see the headset, but when I click on it, then click connect it says that the headset is trying to connect to the pc and requires a pin (which I don't have). Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks,

Hi
I have a bluetooth dongle from 'Enter Peripherals' . Specifications read that it works with win7 (no mention of the bit though 32 or 64?)
I have sony vaio all in one computer (Model VPCJ113FX/B) and I want to connect my nokia headset, model BH-503.
I have tried various options :
1 - I have connected the blue tooth device with usb.
2 - I have changed the computer in discoverable mode
3 - I have checked the device manager and bluetooth dongle is appearing without any issues.
Just to add, the headset is fully charged and after pressing it for few seconds once the blue light starts blinking, i try to connect it with my computer. the headset doesn't appear despite using 'add device' in the bluetooth window. my computer is able to detect other bluetooth networks though.

Pls help
Thanks

Answer:Can't Connect Bluetooth Headset - Nokia BH-503.

Was this bluetooth headset ever paired with any othe device (like a cell phone)?

If yes, then you need to reset the bluetooth headset so it can release the existing pairing with the cellphone. Then try to connect it to the PC.

The laptop has a HEADSET jack (it shows a little symbol next to it referring to a headset with mic and headphone) and i have a headset that has 2 wires. 1 is for the headphones and the other is for the microphone, so i am using a headset adapter that came with the headset itself. I have used the microphone and the headset adapter on my PS4 controller and it works so the microphone is not defected. my computer does not detect my headphones but still plays audio through it, and the microphone is not detected. I would like to use my laptop as a bluetooth headset for my Playstation TV since I am using my second monitor with an HDMI switcher as the screen. I can't connect to my laptop using bluetooth (it finds it but can never connect), so I was hoping for a way to make the laptop appear as a headset instead. WIDCOMM looked like it might work, but the install hangs with the message "Please plug in or turn on your Bluetooth device" and I'm not sure what to do.

Have Inspiron 5010   64 bit with Windows 7, new 11/2010.   I have a BlueAnt Q2 headset, new 1/2011.  The Q2 works great on my iphone 4.  I have reloaded and reviewed all bluetooth files/settings and all are on, enabled, started, shared, and my headset is on and in pairing mode, however the laptop cannot discover the headset, hence I cannot chose it to set up and pair.  UGH!  I have contacted Microsoft, BlueAnt, multiple forums and DELL!!! and I cannot get a fix.  I have talked to everyone and have gone over all possible software issues we can think of.  Seems this might be a hardware problem versus a software issue.
For clarification, Blueant site does reference connecting to a computer.  BlueAnt did mention that the issue could be the laptop bluetooth stacking protocols.
ALL drivers are up to date!
Can anyone help me please?

Pairing the Q1 with your Computer

In order to use the Q1 with your Bluetooth-enabled computer, you need to pair the Q1 with your PC. The pairing process is similar to the process of pairing a phone.

Start the Bluetooth software on your computer, and make sure that your computer's Bluetooth hardware is active.
Put the Q1 into pairing mode (for example by using the "Pair Me" command).
Use your computer's Bluetooth software to search for devices, and select the BlueAnt Q1 from the list. If your computer prompts... Read more

I've tried to install a couple of different Bluetooth headsets (Motorola & Samsung) to my Latitude E6230 running Windows 7 Pro x64. It recognizes the headset and says it has been installed, but then searches for drivers that cannot be found and the device icon ends up with an error flag on them and it doesn't work. I have an internal Dell 380 Bluetooth 4.0 module with current drivers that tests fine. Any suggestions?

Hi guperan,

Welcome to Seven forums.

We would need to know which bluetooth card is installed on the system. You would need to install the bluetooth driver/software for the system.

Driver Install - Device Manager

If you are unsure of the same then, kindly update your system specs here by following this.

Also, let us know the hardware id of the bluetooth card installed on the system:

Is it possible to get mic in from a Bluetooth headset, live play it through Laptop speakers/External USB Speakers?

I'm trying to make a mic-speaker combination which works without external power supply!

Also, are there any software which will simplify the whole process?

Answer:Bluetooth Headset mic to External Speaker via Win 7 Laptop

To me the laptop would have to be Bluetooth enabled which if it was then you could play the sound through the laptop speakers.

Adding a set of active powered speakers would then produce what you are saying on the headset.

I have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running win7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7? I tried going back to a previous version of drivers that HP released before current ones, and even tried formatting/reinstalling windows 7, but same result. I checked headset's properties; under services I tried selecting/deselecting Audio Sink, Handsfree telephony, Headset, Remote Control, Remotely Controllable Device, but same result. I Any ideas or tips? I am just so frustrated I cant think of anything else to try..

Answer:Cant connect bluetooth headset to Windows 7 laptop..

But Im using a Dell D630 Laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise with the Dell 355 Bt adapter.

I've also had trouble getting it to connect. I used to have to force it to connect in XP. So I tried everything I can think of to force it in Win7 through the bluetooth settings dialog, and using the headset itself. Randomly it would work.

Eventually I found that if the headset is turned off, the computer rebooted, and the headset turned on, they just connect automatically without me doing anything. Which was great till something (like my cellphone) connected to the headset and then I couldn't get the headset to reconnect otthe laptop with out rebooting. Yuck!

Anyway this rebooting thing gave me an idea... What I do now, is right click on the bluetooth icon in the tray and turn off the bluetooth device in the computer. Then I power off the headset. Then I re-enable the bluetooth in the same menu. Lastly I power on the headset, and it pretty much works all the time - Though I had one time when it connected but I had no sound.

I love this headset with Win7 much better than with XP, the play pause, track forward/back even control WinAMP! It's cool!

Connecting used to be such a pain, I used to just load my music on my phone and listen from there. but now I can get my music, games, web audio etc. all ,mixed through the same headset. And it still switches to my phone when calls come in and returns to the computer when they're done. It's great!

I feel like I've finally got it working the... Read more

I just received a brand new XPS 13, and so far everything is great, except my Motorola S305 Bluetooth headphones don't have any sound. The machine detected and paired with it fine.  The headphones have two modes, hands-free and stereo. The hands-free mode works fine, but the sound quality is terrible. When set to stereo(the one I've used in the past), no sound comes out. I also noticed when I try to adjust the volume the green bars indicating sound being played appear to be frozen.
My drivers are up to date and the headphones work fine with my cell phone. I'm on Windows 10. Any advice? Thanks!

Question: VOIP headset

I'm thinking of trying VOIP, so I need a headset (integrated earphones/microphone). Although there's plenty around, I wondered if anyone knows of some that are comfortable and that have reasonably good audio quality, durability, etc. Also, have there been any reviews in any recent magazines?

Hi TG's,

I wonder if you may help me. I have just bought my second pair of SIGNALEX SK810 COMPUTER EARPHONES with microphone and they still are not working.

My laptop (Acer Aspire 5720z) definitely recognises them when they are plugged in and I have checked all the levels (I think) in the sound section of the control panel.

The settings does insist on making the USB speakers or built in speakers of my laptop the default sound output route, but I caould always disable them. I just can't get any sound to go in or out via the headset though!

Been listening music with it for about 5 hours until the headset said "Battery level low" but in device hub battery left is still displayed between 28 and 14% when the headset turns itself off. Is that normal or a bug in device hub maybe?

Answer:Nokia BH-222 headset in device hub

Hi there, I also bought BH 222 few days ago and have been using it with my L 920 ( WP 8.1 DP ). On device hub, it shows maximum between 76% and 80% even after I fully charge my headset and also shows the levels 20% to 28% when the headset turns off with empty battery. I think it is a bug in a device hub which somehow makes it erroneously communicate with headset.
Actually, I am concerned with the headset battery time. Are you sure you are getting 5 hours of music playback? I think I am getting less than that though I have yet to test it with continuous music playback.

I've done everything but stand on my head and I cannot get the P50 and the Sony to see each other to pair. I use the headset everday at the gym with an iPod Nano with no problem. With the P50 I've tried "add a bluetooth device' and 'show bluetooth devices'. In neither instance does the Sony appear. Suggestion? Mark

HELLO TO ALL !

I am knew on the board. Greetings

I installed a NEW Logitech USB Headset 350 onto my Winows XP Service Pack 2 generic 'puter.

I now have no speaker sound and no option shows except the headset and "Modem #1 line ".

It sorta looks like I have no speaker drivers .

Unplugging the headset does not help.

Anybody know how to fix this problem so I am not forced to wear a headset for audio ALL OF THE TIME ?

HELP !

(ME)

Answer:Installed new USB Headset NOW no speaker audio even if I unplug the headset

Yeah, my USB headset was a little weird at first as well.

Try going into your volume control (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control):
1. Click Options
2. Properties
3. Change the mixer device from the USB headset to your speakers.

Should work.

Also should note you can change the output settings in most audio software (for example: Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc.) so if you can't hear anything from your speakers when using those programs, try fiddling with those settings as well. I know for Winamp it's Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > Output > double-click the plug-in you use (mine is out_ds.dll) and again change it to your speakers using the drop down menu.

I can't figure out how to fix this. I noticed that, when I'm watching a video, my headset's mic will relay the audio coming into my headset. Disabling Stereo Mix doesn't fix it. The physical controller that's on my headset cable doesn't stop it from happening, as even if I turn the volume knob all the way down and flick the mute switch, it's still picking up the audio. Muting my headset from within the computer stops the mic from hearing it, as does switching to my speakers that are plugged into the front jack. My headset is a 3.5mm jack type plugged into the back of the computer, directly into the motherboard.

Hey,

the topic pretty much says it. I bought myself a new headset(C-media headphone set or something) which uses a USB-port instead of an original sound-port-thing. The problem is, whenever I plug the headset in the USB-port pretty much nothing happens and I can't get the sound in the headset, it just stays in the speakers...

It used to be no problem when I used a headset with the sound-port on the motherboard to just change it. Anyone have any suggestions on what I might do? :(

edit: forgot to say that it works just fine after rebooting the computer.

Thank you

Answer:Problem with USB-headset(Can't switch between headset and speakers without rebooting)

Hi Foonksh,

Try going into the Control Panel and go into Sounds and Audio Devices. From there you can pick the default device for recording and for playback. In the playback section, set the headset as the default device instead of your speakers.

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor that would enable me to plug my phone headset (Nokia single pin jack - 2.5mm?) into my laptop to use the Microphone bit for Skype so I don't have to upgrade to bluetooth or buy a separate headset?

Answer:Using a Nokia wired headset for Skype

I have the same problem with my MP3 player, I found an adapter for £1.99 there and it works fine.

I have a brand-new (less than a week old) Nokia Lumia 635 and I just bought a Nokia headset (WH-208) to use with it. The phone detects that I have headphones in, but I can't hear anything when I make calls and the caller can't hear anything on the other end.
Is there some way to set this up to make this work?

Answer:Why won't the mic work on my headset? (Nokia Lumia 635)

the wire piece has a button close to your mouth that probably needs to be switched on. or the headset has a faulty aux connector. the little metal thing with 2 gold lining surrounding it. twist it around.

Hello!

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.

Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?

I just recently got bluetooth headphones. I was wondering if I was able to plug in a usb bluetooth dongle into my xbox 360. So i could connect my headphones via bluetooth to the xbox and hear in game audio through the headphones. Would that work?

Answer:Can i plug in a bluetooth adapter to my 360 and then connect any bluetooth headset?

That won't work, the Xbox 360 don't have drivers for bluetooth devices (Impossible to install drivers) and that bluetooth dongle won't be recognize by the console.

Answer:Does Nokia Headset work on Microsoft Lumia 435???

There is less chance for it not to work with 435. Only issue is with Old Nokia Headphones that had a different pin layout [nokia 5230 compatible headphones] which I feel is outdated. So more chance for 435 to be working with Coloud Pop and other headphones...

With my old headset i used to have a blast recording sounds/music coming out of my comptuer directly using wave out. Often for MSN voice clips and such.

I haven't changed anything, but now that i have this new headset, the only recording i seem to be able to do is voice recording in sound recorder, i can't seem to record wave out mix on sound recorder, and can't record anything whatsoever in msn voice clips.

I can hear voice clips sent to me though, strange thing is, when someone invited me to an audio conversation earlier, i got the annoying ringing noise alright , but i couldn't hear anything.

I checked my volume controls nothing is muted.
Any help would be fantastic! Thanks in advance

There is no way to make it ring loud when the headset is till plugged in.
No one usually leaves a phone around with the headset still on.
Anyway the only option for you is to keep the phone somewhere where the display is visible.

Question: Bluetooth headset

Hey guys, im not the best with computers so bare with me lol.

I just bought a set of Bose Soundlink 2 wireless headphones and cant seem to get them to connect to my PC.
Im running windows 7, and when i select "Add a device" under the Bluetooth tap, it keeps searching for devices... and my headset keeps blinking in "pair mode" till they shut off. I can successfully connect them to my phone, and my girlfriends laptop which is running windows 10. Is this a common problem with windows 7 not connecting with Bluetooth headsets? Any help would be much appreciated, ive spend too much time trying to figure this out, and Bose support was no help obviously. Thanks again for any input, really would like to figure this out

Travis

Answer:Bluetooth headset

Welcome to our forum tjessop.

Do you have your usb 3.0 drivers installed?
If not your motherboard should of come with a CD that has the usb 3.0 drivers.
Are you plugged into Usb 2.0 or 3.0?
Does your Bose head set need drivers?
Did your head set come with a CD or DVD?

Boot your PC and then plug in your head phone and see if Windows 7 picks them up.
If not, boot your PC and then plug your head phone in and see if Windows 7 picks them up.

Right tick on your volume icon (lower right) and select (Play Back Devices). Do your head phones show up there?
That is about all I can think of.

Answer:bluetooth headset

It is possible that the pairing has been corrupt. I would consider deleting the current pairing and then try to repair it to the phone. If that does not work you can try to pair it to a different bluetooth if you had a spare or possibly a friends. If it connects then it is a good chance it is a defective bluetooth.

It is more of a case of which one you like and the biggest asset you need is how long the batt last for. Answer:PC Bluetooth & LG headset

Apparently the range is short.
https://vip.asus.com/forum/view.asp...id=1&model=P8Z68-V+PRO&page=1&SLanguage=en-us

There is a youtube video supposedly showing you how to increase the range. I found it puzzling. There is no dialog nor onscreen captions. The guy has a tape measure and a Samsung phone. I have no idea what he is doing.

Your best bet would be to disable the weak onboard bluetooth and buy a USB bluetooth dongle.

Hello all, i got a situation right here. im using an old LG KS20 with its default OS, WinMo 6 and i happen to have 2 stereo (A2DP) devices which are Philips SHB7100 and Fujitsu SPK-796.

so i pair them to my older phone, LG KU990 Viewty and both devices work perfectly. Now i'm trying to connect either one of them to the KS20 without any luck. So the bluetooth headset and speakers are working right.

I discovered that there are "handsfree options" in bluetooth settings that has "authorization" "authentication" and "encryption". ticking or not ticking any of them did not give me what i need.

so basically the problem is: i can connect both devices as "hands-free" and it asks me for pairing code when i pair both of them, but i cannot connect the "high quality audio bluetooth". it says connection failed, obviously because it didn't ask me the pairing code, which is necessary in the first place.

so anyone here facing the same issue?

Question: Bluetooth Headset

I am trying to connect a StraightTalk Bluetooth Headset Model # STB13W1021 to my Dell N5110 laptop.  I have attached a screenshot of the specs on my laptop.  My computer is  able to "find" the bluetooth headset and the drivers download and I receive the message that the device is ready to use.  I then try to play music from my lap top and have no audio through the headset though the computer speakers work fine.  When I check playback devices the bluetooth headset is not shown.  When checking Bluetooth settings, all settings seem to be set correctly but when I close settings I get the error that "Windows Shell  Common dll has stopped working"  Also when I check Bluetooth services for the headset it shows "Listen to Music" and "Forward VOIP calls to handsfree" but neither links are active.  (see screenshot) My son also has the same Dell computer using Windows 7 Home Premium but does not have Service Pack One.  I was able to connect this headset to his computer without a problem and the Bluetooth services links are active on his computer.  The headset works great.  I have gone through all the settings and compared them to his computer and they appear to be the same.I have connected this headset to my Droid 2 phone and it works properly.Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksDavid[recovering disk space, attachment deleted by admin]

Think this might be the best place for this.

A little annoyance here. I got a Moto H800 bluetooth headset I would like to use on Ventrilo while gaming and it just is not connecting. To many variables? Lets narrow it down

First, the basics:
System: WinXP-Pro SP3 All Updates
Bluetooth: USB ISSC Bluetooth EDR Adapter [ISSCEDRBTA]
Using XP Bluetooth Stack

Using the bluetooth devices dialog found in Control Panel I add the H800 by pressing "ADD", checking "my device is ready to be found", pressing "NEXT", waiting for windows to find the h800, clicking on it then pressing "NEXT" again, select "use passkey from my documentation" which of course is 0000, then press "NEXT" one last time.

At this point the h800 flashes violet and blue, usually indicating a connection. However it quickly turns to a flashing red. even though it is paired, it will not connect to the pc.

Wondering if I did something wrong?

I have a SONY MDRZX770BT Bluetooth Headset which I am trying to pair with my Dell OMNIPLEX AIO PC. All seems to go well, until I bring up the 'SOUND' screen from Control Panel. The headset, which was reported as successfully added, and ready to use, does not appear on the screen of playback devices.
All related BT and sound devices on Device Manager are shown as working properly, and the headset appears on the Devices and Printer screen. I also checked that all BT Services are running.
I was able to install, and use, the headset on my wife's computer, so it is not a defective device.
I checked the SONY web site for possible driver updates, and no downloads are avaiable for this device.
Also, I had a previous (Philips) BT headset working on this PC, so the BT software seemsOK.,.
What have I overlooked?

I have been trying to get my Plantronics bluetooth headset working with Windows 7 without any luck. I want to use it with a 3CX softphone to use it with a Google Voice number.

At first I was able to add the headset to "Devices and Printers" but could not get any audio in or out of it for the softphone. A wired headset works ok. I searhed here and read a post that someone suggested BlueSoleil 6. I installed it and it seemed to pick up the headset, but that didn't work. I even installed BlueSoleil VOIP, but that thing is for Skype. While it was installed, I checked my "Devices and Printers" and it was not listed anymore. So, I uninstalled BlueSoleil. I was able to add the headset again. Still didn't work. I also read somewhere else to install the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software. It could not detect my headset. The headset disapeared from the "Devices and Printers" window. Now I can't e ad the headset. When I try, my Brother Laser printer is listed to add. I already have had it installed for some time.

Anybody have a clue of how I can get this to work?

I don't even know the brand it is.. the model number is HT1A515HS/7- though that could be the model of the charger. not sure. It's driving me nuts that I can't figure this out.

Do you have this code??

If you do then this may help (it can not hurt to try it anyway)but if not we really need a make or model to go any further.

P.S. The number you gave appears to be the charger and all i can find are Chinese websites that have no information regarding the bluetooth device.

I have Dell Vostro 3460 notebook with Win 8.1 Core 64 bit on it. I have bluetooth enabled, I can connect to bluetooth devices (phone). My headset is a noname one but it still works on other machines (works with phone, works with Ubuntu).
In windows I can pair the headset but that's as far as it goes. I cannot select it as audio output device. I learned that for it to work I need to have an "audio sink" serviceat the bluetooth device. Unfortunately the only service my driver shows is "handsfree" (transleted, not sure if this is the proper english name).
I tried updating bluetooth drivers (various) but none of them made any difference.
Can anybody help me in getting this working?

Thanks,
Mikl?s

I have heard some people complaining about being unable to connect their Bluetooth headsets to their Windows 10 PCs after pairing, I've been down that road my self and the tangible solution I later found out is not shared anywhere on the net (though other solutions are provided, but not quick enough). So, I thought "maybe" someone might need this.
Unlike Windows 7 where the "connect" button is provided to manually trigger the connection between paired Bluetooth headset and the PC, the Windows 10 misses on this feature, even the anniversary update. The problem is, some Bluetooth headsets when paired with a certain device and then use with another device, they lose the connection with the first device they are paired with, so they need to be manually trigger to be able to connect with the first device. Though the Bluetooth headset will still show as "Paired" under "Bluetooth Devices", but it won't connect.
To solve this, I mean to easily connect your paired Bluetooth headset incase it fails to connect with your laptop, simply press "Windows key + K key" (Windows + K), a sidebar just like info center will show up at the left side of the desktop window and all paired Bluetooth devices including your headset will be listed, simply click on your Bluetooth headset name among the list and it will connect.
As a side note, do make sure your Bluetooth headset is turned on before you press the Windows + K keys.

Hi,

I've been trying to setup my new laptop which is Dell XPS 15 (9550, i7, FHD, Broadcom WiFi + BT) running Win 10 Home Edition, to pair my android cell phone and use the laptop Mic and Speaker act as bluetooth headset, however been searching around on google and some said this features only exist on Pro and Enterprise version of Win 10, so is that true?

If it's not then may I ask if anyone has success on doing so?

I am able to pair it but the option to use pc as bluetooth headset isn't exist.

Thx!

Recently purchased a BT Headset after reading the fine print, I discovered that the headset would only perform all functions (music & cell) on Nokia Sybian phones ? Will it work on my 521 (all function) ?
Haven't received it yet ..................................HELP

Answer:Bluetooth Headset @#$%up ?

What BT headset do you have? That would help. I personally can't fathom a BT headset being specific to just Nokia Symbian handsets.
Once I know what you got I'll be able to help.
