Lenovo Yoga S1 Digitizer Stops Working after converting to tablet mode and back again

Question: Lenovo Yoga S1 Digitizer Stops Working after converting to tablet mode and back again

I have a problem where the digitizer pen interittently stops working on the yoga S1 - win8.1 x64 with all updates applied.I can re-create the issue by folding the screen from normal mode to tablet mode, then normal mode , then tablet mode. At this point, the pen susually stops working. I can get it to come back to life sometimes if i wait a minute, or if i go to power settings and apply / un apply something or by restart. It sounds like a driver issue to me - and possiby power management drivers - triggered by swithcing to tablet mode.I have tried max perfromance, min power savings etc to stop the screen driver being starved of power, have disabled sleep and hibernation. Done multiple driver re-installs, but no difference. Sometimes restarting the drivers relating to the pen and touch screen bring it back to life. But it should not die in the first place. Anyone else have this or do i have a hardware issue?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 14 " Signature Edition 2-in-1 PC- bought it two days ago. W10. I have problems with the touchscreen when using it as a tablet. The touchscreen is working perfectly when it's in PC mode. Once I fold it and putting it flat (down at the table etc.)- the screen is no longer responding. It's like the touchscreen function is shuting off somehow. Anyone knows how to solve this?? Thanks

I just got a brand new Yoga 12, and it has the integrated stylus in the laptop. When i first set it up, I was able to use the stylus to hand write in a program like one note. Let's say I close my laptop, and walk to a different room, when I open it back up from sleep mode, touch screen still works, but the computer doesn't respond at all to the stylus. No handwriting support, no touch support with the pen, only my capactive fingers. I find this very odd, and it works when I restart, but this seems to be a common issue with my peers who have Yoga 12's as well. Is there a fix for this? my wacom drivers are up to date, not sure if I should buy another stylus if this issue is recurring or not.

Hi.  I have a problem with my yoga 710 in tablet mode. The on screen keyboard just pops up and goes away after a secound.  Some say its a problem with Chrome. But the problems also occurs when i try to log in to windows in tablet mode. The keyboard pops up, and goes away so i cant type my passcode. If i flip the pc out of tablet mode and opens the onscreen keybord by pushing on it on the taskbar it stays open. Someone know how to fix this?

Hi.I've been using ThinkPad Yoga for 4 days, and realized a problem regarding the rotation/orientation across the Laptop/Tent/Tablet modes. If I enter the Tablet mode (after flipping LCD to 360 degree), make several rotations with or without screen rotation lock, and come back to standard Laptop mode, then the orientation of TrackPad AND TrackPoint does not match the orientation of the screen. Does any one experience the same problem? Or, am I only one who have this problem? When I first open the box and use this machine, I didn't realize this problem. Maybe this is caused after I installed many programs and drivers.  So, I would appreciate very much if you let me know that you "don't have such a problem".It will also help me. Thank you!

Well, I've finally had it. I've had my 6365 CTO X60 tablet pc for over a year now and last Monday I lost pen functionality in tablet pc mode in the afternoon after working fine in the morning. It works fine, even now after rotating the screen back to laptop mode. As soon as the screen is rotated back to tablet pc mode, no pen functionality but the mouse still works fine so I know it's functional in laptop mode but rotate back, all ok!  I did uninstall the Wacom drivers, restart, and then downloaded the tablet pc, windows xp version drivers from the wacom.com site as instructed in a previous post. Unfortunately, the digitizer pen is still disabled in tablet pc mode and works fine when rotated back to laptop mode. I've called Lenovo tech support in Atlanta four times now and they've been totally useless. I wiped out my X60 tablet last Friday and used Rescue and Recovery to reinstall the operating system back to it's factory settings. I went back and unistalled and reinstalled the Wacom driver. Nothing. Since that didn't work either I've requested the box to ship this back to the Memphis Depot. Hopefully, I'll just get a new replacement machine that works but I'm so angry and frustrated w/ Lenovo's support because it's obvious that the people on the phone are not tech specialists and they couldn't even point me in a direction to get this fixed. It's cost me over a week now wo... Answer:X60 tablet pc digitizer pen functionality disabled in tablet pc mode

Problem solved! While the support folks weren't able to fix the problem over the phone, they did overnite me a prepaid return box which I sent back that day. Two days later they overnited my X60 tablet back fixed with a note saying 'LCD enabled'. I'm impressed how quickly they got my tablet pc back up and running. I'm glad I got that 3-yr. support warranty because I usually opt out of those things. This totally paid for itself. I just wish I hadn't been so reluctant to send back my laptop because I do need it for work and I figured I wouldn't get it back for at least a week or longer. I was so frustrated and pessimistic that I forgot sometimes these problems do get fixed in a very satisfactory manner. It's too bad the initial steps that led to sending it back were so painful. Bottom line: Lenovo fixed my pc quickly, no questions asked. Thanks!

So, got my Yoga yesterday. After repartitioning the hard drive (what is Lenovo thinking?) and restoring from my USB recovery disk, I have a nicely working computer. Except for one slightly annoying thing. When I flip the screen over into tablet mode the keyboard becomes disabled (perfect). When I flip the screen back over into the normal laptop position the keyboard remains disabled (ugh!!!). The only solution I have at the moment is to close the laptop and reopen it. The keyboard works again but I have to relog into Windows. Running Windows 8. Only things I did other then changing the drive partitions is remove some unwanted default software that was installed.

Hi, in tablet mode on the Yoga 900, the keyboard is split and I'm trying to figure out how set it so it isn't split.  There is a button in the bottom right corner of the right side of the keyboard that looks like a keypad, but nothing happens when I touch it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi there Clean install of Windows 10 on a yoga 2 11.6". I installed Yoga Picks from the store but that does nothing. When changing to either tent or tablet mode, the screen rotates correctly, but Windows does not switch to Tablet mode, with larger start menu etc. The Windows settings for tablet mode are set to ask when switching, but nothing happens. so, I have to manually click tablet mode from Action Centre. With Yoga Picks installed on Win8, it would notify you that it was in tent mode etc, so I guess the app does not work on Win10. Is it possible to have Windows automatically detect tablet mode on this device? Other than that, Windows 10 is great on this machine (with an SSD upgrade). Thanks

Answer:Lenovo yoga 2 11 not switching to tablet mode

Hello, The answer is yes, because the automatic detection is working on mine.In Parameters, Tablet Mode, the first tick box is on "Activated". The second option is set to "Memorize latest choice", and the third "Always ask when switching". The BIOS is of course up to date, and the latest drivers are installed.

So, I'd like to do something a little complicated.  I know that the Yoga series actually knows when it is in each mode (Tablet, tent, etc), which is really cool, and so is the Lenovo transition program. But I'd like to do more. I'd love to be able to, say, change the size of icons, switch chrome to touch mode, and turn on/off the touchscreen keyboard when in a certain mode, among other things. I know that Windows Task Scheduler has a way to perform tasks on "Hardware Events", but I don't know if I could use that with this. What event would I use? If that is not possible, is there another way to do this? If this could be done in, say, Visual Basic or C++, I would be happy to make an app for this.  Thanks,Atravir

I've updated to Windows 10 fitst time about a month ago, and I remember interface freezing and ALL the functions really slow down as soon as you switch to tablet mode. And not only by turning the screen, but also just switching it on from the "messages" toolbar. But I've started to recieve BSOD every few hours, so I decided to do a full reset. Then I've started from plain W8.1 and updates to W10 and only then installed all the Apps I need, but surprisingly, I still expericence sane problem - it starts being really slow once you turn the screen into presentation or tablet mode. I have a few-months old Yoga 2 11 that was working perfectly, until a few weeks ago when I went to use it in tablet mode the display screen went all out of whack. It turns the screen, but only half of it - the top half of the screen is turned and the menu bar shows up in the middle of the screen, and the bottom half looks like the screen in regular computer mode.  I've tried restarting, tried turning tablet mode off, but every time I flex it back to use as a tablet this happens, virtually making that feature unuseable. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution for it?

I currently use a Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga, and have recently upgraded the 64-bit OS from Windows 8.1 to 10.Since then I have been experiencing issues where ?Tablet Mode? will activate suddenly and randomly while I am using my ultrabook in laptop mode. This is especially frustrating because it often occurs while I am using the keyboard which will then be disabled, and cannot be re-enabled. I have attempted to turn on/off the various Tablet Mode settings ? ?Make Windows more touch-friendly??, ?When I sign in...?, ?When this device automatically??, ?Hide app icons??, but no pair of settings seemed to work. In the end, I am forced to reboot, which is the only solution that resolves the matter. What steps can I take to resolve this matter once and for all without having to restart the system constantly?

Answer:Spontaneous Tablet Mode w/ lenovo thinkpad s1 yoga

Hi

In my case I have a Thinkpad Yoga 14 and it took me some time to stabilize Windows 10 on it. I went updating the driver over time until it get stable.

I also have some settings similar to you, but mine (for example)  sometimes switches to tablet mode when I close the lid, but when I open it Windows change very fast to laptop mode, so it does not bother me.

I can suggest you to try to update your drivers, here are some of my tips to update the drivers on a Thinkpad when going to Windows 10.

These are some of my tips to update the drivers of your Thinkpad:

1) Try first Windows Update and update all the drivers and Patches
2) Try Lenovo System Update to get any new/missing drivers.
3) Try to install Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion from the Windows App Store, Lenovo Companion also has a "update driver search"
4) Sometimes all that software does not recognize some updated / missing driver. Check Lenovo's Support Site and search for your specific model drivers (use the full model number of your Thinkpad).

If you have more experience installing and uninstalling driver, there are some other things you can do, but those options os AS IS outside Lenovo's suggestion.
1) There is DriverEasy that offers a decent for free scanning of your device and shows you which drivers can be updated from their database.
2) According to your machine devices you have the Intel Driver Update Utility and the AMD Driver Update Utility, sometimes it can help... Read more

Could be the same problem discussed in this thread? If so, a temporary workaround is to disable 'Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework' in BIOS. http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Windows-8-1-Yoga-11s-Low-performance-when...

I'm finding that performance goes down badly under any mode other than laptop, and I'm wondering if there is a workaround. Many 'tablet' games under the windows stores are unplayable. For example, Asphalt 7. I runs fine in laptop mode, but as soon as you change to any other mode it becomes unplayable. This is a big issue for me, as many apps just don't run as intended under this modes.

was just wondering how do you go about entering a bios power on password, when your in tablet mode? ive seen on some asus  and  hp hybrid laptops namely split x2 and t100ta a pop up virtual keyboard shows up when i am on the bios setup if i am on tablet mode! its kind of ironic that lenovo didnt think of this when they designed this laptop! say your on tablet mode or tent mode and you have it setup so that when you boot up the system it will ask for a power on password which is being handled by the bios, how do you go about entering a password, does this mean i have to go back to laptop mode, just in order to power on or boot up my system into windows?

I don't think Lenovo has made the Transition Software fully compatible with Win10 yet. I myself have only minor problems: 1. When the lid is in almost closed position the Transition software recognises tablet mode. So everytime i open my laptop it goes into tablet mode and only after a few seconds into laptop mode. When waking up from sleep mode these few seconds really hurt becouse otherwise the laptop would be on instantly. 2.When I want to type something while in tablet mode only Windows apps make the keyboard pop up. In 3rd party apps I have to do it manually by tapping on the icon in the notification bar. There seem to be different problems with transition between different modes and I'm not sure if I should open a new thread for mine. I know this didn't help very much.

HI!I just got new Lenovo yoga 710 but when I turn it to tablet mode at 360 degrees the screen goes black. So to around 350 degrees works normal, but if I put it to 360, the screen goes black. Do you have any solution? Maja

Answer:yoga 710 tablet mode not working at 360 degrees

Hello Maja1Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. As this only happens when the unit is flipped to tablet mode, it seems to be that there will be an issue with the connection on the unit.

Try to download the Video and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.

Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
Also, Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)1. Turn the unit off2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter5. Turn the unit on as normal

2 weeks ago I left my Lenovo Yoga 2 in tent mode with music playing and fell asleep, like I do every night. Since then it won't leave tablet mode on the screen. I have tried every update, driver reinstall, etc. that I have found on the internet and this forum - I even did a factory re-boot (which caused more headaches). I can force the screen back into laptop mode by going into Screen Resolution and turning off auto rotate. However, my keyboard doesn't work because it thinks it's still in tablet mode. If I turn on the laptop, log in, and then hit restart, the keyboard works. From what I gather there was an update for power management that may have caused this. I can't find a link to the 1.66 version that they say works fine. I would like to try that. And anything else that might work.

I am a proud 5 year owner of a Thinkpad X220, which I still use.I purchased a X1 Carbon (non-yoga) 2015 model, I sent it back because it was having fuzzy text and lid closing issues. (The FHD screen is horrible) see my other post on that. Lenovo sent me a new X1, I sent it back for same reason. I got my X1 Yoga today. I close the lid, it sleeps. Open the lid, it beeps loudly and display does not resume, but keyboard lights on. I have to manually hold power button to shut down laptop. hi greengrounds,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You can try these steps It may be the Power management that's causing this Issue

First I would suggest Do a power Drain
    - Unplug the computer from the AC charger and remove the battery
    - Hold down the power button for about 10 sec. then reconnect Everything

Go into BIOS utility by tapping Fn+F2 or F2 on the Lenovo Screen
    - inside BIOS press Fn+F9 then Enter to load defaults
    - then Press Fn+F10 the enter to Save and Exit

Then Last Re-install the Lenovo Energy Management
Uninstall it first under Control Panel Programs and features

Then try to Download and install this
Lenovo Energy Management for 64-bit Windows em8.08.0.2.4.exe45.4MB

Lenovo Energy management is an app that controls the hotkeys

Hope this helps,
Cheers!!

The actually drivers are installed. The pen function is ok. But only in the "Notebook-Modus". I tested it.. when I am turning the Notebook in the Tablet-Modus AND THE KEYBOARD IS INSIDE, the pen function doesn't work and I have to reboot. When I reboot in the Tablet Modus it also doesn't work. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE????????? Thank you soooo much. David

Twice now, my Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Digitizer Pen - stylus has dropped out of the tablet only to be found later on my family room floor.   Given the expensive price tag on these pens (Office Depot has for $65), it would be nice if these pens could be locked into place so that they don't come up "missing" for whatever reason.   Has anyone else found a way to keep better track of their pen, short of not putting it in the holder on the tablet? Joe

Answer:Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Digitizer Pen - stylus

Have you tried to tether it to your tablet?  There is a hole in the stylus clip and the tablet that you can use.  Beyond that, you can send it in to have the stylus catch replaced and see if that helps.

Ok so i just recieved a thinkpad yoga S1. The one i got was the one without the digitizer pen automatically installed into the computer's side. The pen came separately and its the exact same one as the one used with the version that comes with the pen. I dont know the product code or even what its called. Which driver do i install and how can i register the product? Also, since the version i have has like a little black piece where the digitizer normally goes is there any way i can take it out and be able to accomodate the pen that came seperatly?

Answer:Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga S1 digitizer help

I think there is only two options it either comes with the pen or it doesn't. The one that doesn't have the pen built into it doesn't support the pen because of the panel used. That is waht I remember when I was researching into this unit.

Hi! I recently bought the Lenovo Yoga 460 and the Lenovo Thinkpad Active Capacitive Pen. When drawing I experience problems with "cursor jittering" trying to draw a smooth line is impossible. Even if I place a ruler on the screen and draw the line end up jagged and bumpy. It's the same using both the built in pen and the Active pen, and in every art program. The effect is worse if I try to draw slow. Is this normal? Is the digitizer this bad? /Tobias

I was wondering if the Yoga 3 touch screen has a wacom digitizer so I could use a wacom smart pen for example.  I would like to use my Yoga 3 to draw things but somehow no graphic pen is officially convertible with it. The WACOM Smart Pen is convertible with any product with WACOM digitizer so I want to know if my laptop has this. If not, does anybody have another suggestion which pen I could use for drawing?

Good day. I purchased a manufacturer refurbished ThinkPad X220t  with warranty for one year. The laptop came with a factory seal. When I turn on a notebook,  the operating system(win 7 Prof 64bit) automatically install. At the end of installation in device manager  all devices have been identified and worked fine.  But in computer details in the "system" was written ?No Pen or Touch Input is available for this display?. Then I installed all the drivers on a laptop from Lenovo website again and again. That did not help. Then I reinstalled windows (win 7 Prof 32bit). That did not help. Previously, I had two X200t and when I installed windows 7, the digitizer immediately was detected, for the good work of  the touchscreen it was necessary to install drivers. But the situation with the X220 for me incomprehensible. Explain what I did wrong. The type of ThinkPad printed on the back label is 4294-CTR(in BIOS the type is 4294-CTO).

Hi everyone!I am thinking about purchasing the Lenovo Digitizer Pen for ThinkPad Yoga Notebooks, which should work for the Yoga ThinkPad series, but would this pen work for my Lenovo Yoga 500 15? Answer:Will the Lenovo Digitizer Pen work for my Lenovo Yoga 500 15?

As the Yoga 500 15 supports neither Wacom EMR-based pens nor Wacom AES-based pens, your only option is a capacitive pen that works the same way as your finger.

I have just purchased the ThinkPad Yoga. I was wondering if there is a way to change what "handedness" you on when using the digitizer pen. I am left handed and the pen is obvioulsy configured to be used with your right hand. So when I write using the pen the writing and the pen tip to not match up like it is supposed to. It matches perfectly if I were to write something with my right hand but when I use my left hand, the writing is off (as in the letters do not match up to where I wanted to write them) Any information on this would be great, kind of anoying for trying to add notes in class. Thanks

Hello, I just received my new shiny TPY (again). The first time I got it, the digitizer wasn't working. After a bit of research I realized that it probably was a hardware issue (No digitizer, pen or wacom device in device-manager). So I send it back. The mainboard got replaced and today I have my machine back. It was all working fine including the digitizer. But from one minute to the other it stopped working and I can't find any wacom or digitizer devices in the device-manager.Now my first thought was, that the Windows updates messed something up, so I've done a rollback but it's still not working.Am I doing something wrong or is it a hardware issue again? Thanks for advance.Robinhuett

Answer:ThinkPad Yoga - Digitizer is not working

Hello. It isn't a Hardware Problem. It seems to be a software problem after Windows 8.1 Update. I have the same problem :-( When I start the PC it works perfect, until I used it as Tablet. After that the Digitizer Pen didn't work. So I reinstalled all drivers. After that the pen worked.. so I tested it again as Tablet, after that. the Digitizer Pen didn't work. Now I installed all drivers again but the Pen didn't worked. It is a big problem at Lenovo, because Lenovo has problems with the pen software a long time. It is soooo sad because I love the Thinkpad Yoga but with this Problem the price isn't acceptable. So I am going to send it back and wait for the Surface Pro 3. Because Thinkpad stands for the perfect Business Notebook and now... Lenovo has with the digitizer pen more problems than all others. And this is very sad :-(

Answer:Yoga 2 13 Tablet Screen turns off when in Tablet Mode

Try updating your drivers first: http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-2-13-notebook-l...If that does not help, try a factory reset:1. Turn off your Yoga 2 132. Press the tiny button next to the power button on the right3. Follow instructions to perform a factory resetIf none of the above attempts have helped you, it is probably a hardware issue.

Hi all, I got my Lenovo Yoga Pro since 2 weeks now... and apart from the following issue I love this machine! However: the autorotation only works for Laptop, Tent and Tablet mode. Stand mode and Portait orientation donīt work at all.If I fold it to Stand mode, it seems to detect Tabled mode (????) and flips the image upside down. Very annoying, reproducible and unsolvable so far!If I hold it vertically (donīt matter which mode it is in), it wonīt rotate to Portrait. I already made a recovery (complete re-installation), but no change. Any suggestions? This issue is quite annoying, since those modes are the main reason why I bought this machine!!!!!

How do I disable the portrait mode?  Since the upgrade to Windows 8, I downloaded and installed every new driver.  One of them has gotten it working so that I can swivel the screen and convert to tablet orientation, but I want it to switch only to inverted landscape (without having to press the button to change it). I've already set the "Choose the order in which your screen rotates" setting to ONLY be the two landscape modes.  This works for the button, but whichever Lenovo driver supports the screen orientation change when the hinge is rotated is ignoring these settings.

Answer:x220t - Converting to tablet mode goes to portrait

Alright, this problem is solved. Launching the "Tablet Shortcut Menu" from the Windows 8 start screen does not work.  This application has a bizarre behavior I've really not seen occur in other applications.  When anything other than it gains focus from Windows, it kills itself.  So, the new start screen in Windows 8 launches this application and then gives focus back to the desktop so as to make the application visible.  This causes the app to kill itself before a user can ever see it!  Dear Lenovo, please fix this.  It is silly.  Just let the app stay up on the screen until closed like any other app. The workaround: Right click the shortcut to "Tablet Shortcut Menu" and click "Open File Location" from the menu at the bottom of the screen.  Double-click the shortcut from the folder that pops up in Windows desktop mode. Alternately, run the executable directly.  For my PC it's located at: "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Tablet Shortcut\LENTBCTL.exe" Now, to change the auto-rotate setting I was after: Click Settings.  Under the Auto Screen Rotation subheading (which should be checked) I had to select "Secondary Landscape."  Voila, no more portrait mode switch when the screen is swiveled to tablet mode - it goes to secondary landscape (180 degrees rotated).

Today my digitizer stopped working for the first time since I purchased my Thinkpad Yoga several years ago. Touch screen still works as normal. I don't think it's software related because I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu and it doesn't work in either operating system. Before it would work in both operating systems, and I haven't had any updates since it was last working. Is it possible for the digitizer itself to be broken somehow? I haven't dropped the device or spilled any liquid on it. I've read elsewhere on the forum that the digitizer is powered by a capacitor that is charged within the laptop. Is this still true for Thinkpad Yogas? Are there steps I can take to diagnose the issue?

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Answer:X201 blue screens when converting to tablet mode or changing screen orientation

hi Belkid,

Welcome to our forums,

Its very uncertain what exactly is casing your issue. However in the past there report some what similar to your case. You may want to consider updating these drivers and checkit one by one. Previously it was these issues that caused the machine to crash unexpectedly.

1) Update the Intel Rapid Storage driver to the latest version in the web.
2)  problem is caused by Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver (iaStor.sys) version 8.6.0.1007.
For ThinkPad T/X/R series running Windows 7, Vista or XP 32-bit, Update Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver to version 8.9.2.1002 or later.
3) Problem is caused by Intel Wireless LAN (bg, abg, abgn) driver version 13.0.0.107
Update Intel Wireless LAN (bg, abg, abgn) to driver version 13.01.1000 or higher.

I hope these help. Do give it try and and let me know.

Regards

Hi all, I have recently upgraded to windows 7 (64bit) and now when I  put my tablet into tablet mode, the screen doesn't autorotate and none of the tablet buttons work. In order to rotate the screen I have to right click on the desktop and choose graphic properties/rotation.Interestingly if I press the tablet buttons while in tablet mode and then rotate the screen up to notepad mode within a few seconds the button will perform its function (rotate screen, activate tablet shortcut menu, etc). Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I've tried running system update (4.0) to no avail. Cheers

Hi,

When I connect Thinkpad Yoga (model 20CD00B1US) to the onelink dock, the stylus stops working.

In order to enable the stylus and Wacom driver following 2 options/ workarounds:
1)  Manually stop and restart the Wacom ISD Service
2) or reboot the machine while the Onelink dock is attached.

I'm using the latest 7.2.0-4 Wacom driver version, all latest lenovo software installed installed on the machine.

Both above mentioned workarounds are ugly, does anybody have a better suggestion to fix this issue?

Hey all, I have a weird problem.  My tablet buttons have stopped working-- but only in tablet mode.  That is, I can't rotate, or bring up the tablet shortcuts, or move around the screen in tablet mode.  Also autorotate doesn't work.  But if I switch out of tablet mode, I can do all of these things just fine (except for autorotate). Also, when I switch into tablet mode the screen doesnt rotate or anything, but when I switch out of tablet mode the screen rotates to the direction I defined in the settings (sometimes.. to be honest it seems pretty random to me).  I am running 32 bit vista w/ 4 gb ram on an x61 tablet with the latest drivers.  I have uninstalled the tablet button drivers and the lenovo system interface and reinstalled them already.. I have the latest APS. Help me out here.. I have no idea why this isn't working!  Don't make me have to reinstall vista to get the buttons working.. Tha'ts ridiculous!!  Arrrgh.

You have to get into Tablet shortcut menu setting and do it all first. For the rest, uninstalled all ThinkPad Tablet Button Driver, ThinkPad Tablet shortcut menu then restar and reinstall vis System Update. Just let it find for you; that's the only thing I could recommend for this case.

Unfortunately I have it in tablet mode and pressed the AutoRotate button several times with no result.  The charm shows locked and will not go into 'rotate mode'. Also keyboard is still enabled even though in tablet fold.

Question: Yoga Tablet Mode

I have a Yoga 11 and noticed that when it is in tablet mode it does not seem to hold firmly against the back side. For example if you were to hold it with the screen facing the ground in tablet mode, there is some separation between the screen side and the keyboard side. It is pretty minimal, but I assumed that it would lock into the tablet mode a bit more.Is this normal? The hinges have no problem holding the screen in other positions. Thanks!

Hi, I just purchased the X1 Yoga and have tried rotating the screen round into the tablet mode, as soon as it hits 360 degrees the computer goes into standby mode. When I change the settings for when the lid is closed to do nothing the screen still turns off. Does anyone know how to stop the screen turning off as soon as the screen is rotated? Thanks,Neel

Answer:Tablet Mode on X1 Yoga

Could be magnetic piece so when you close lid normal the energy from magnetic will make laptop screen turn off so I wonder if that magnetic is to strong so when you flip screen other way it gets enegery there to and then laptop screen goes off /sleep since it thinks your closing the lid in the normal way which you aren't, it is just my guess could be something else instead.

Hi Everyone, My device is only a week old and not I'm sure if there's any connection to it but this problem started after installing Office 365. - I have to manually switch modes since it does NOT ask before switching- Keyboard/touchpad is still active after flipping beyond 180 degrees and only deactivates when fully folded- 'When this device automatically switches tablet mode on or off' is set to 'Always ask me before switching'- Tried installing this Mode Control driver but to no avail.- On screen keyboard and screen rotation work fine Would appreciate any advice with this issue. Thanks guys ?

Hello, I just received a new Yoga 2 13, 8Gb, 256Gb SSD. I have been using it exclusively as a laptop. It worked just fine for a few days. I did notice once the screen flipped sideways and the keyboard turned off randomly but after turning the laptop on its side and back, everything went back to normal. Today, after closing the lid and putting the machine to sleep, then waking it up, it awoke in tablet mode with the sideways screen and turned off keyboard. To do anything I have to use the on-screen keyboard, which does work. Nothing I did could get it to go back to laptop mode, or for autorotate to ever work. Rebooted several times, no. The "Lenovo" signage does show correctly in landscape as soon as the machine turns on, but once it gets to the login window, it's back to sideways tablet mode. The auto-rotate button (which I had never touched prior) doesn't appear to do anything. I click the button, it says "autorotate off" then I click it again to "autorotate on" and still no rotation. I called Lenovo technical support, and he tried (after remote desktoping into my machine) to try a different display driver. The Windows "Basic" Driver, the Intel Driver from March 2014, and the latest Lenovo display drivers downloaded did nothing. He turned off "ycp" or something similar as a startup service, no help. In Screen Resolution, he changed the orientation of the display from portrait to landscape which did fix the orientation problem but did n... Answer:Yoga 2 13 stuck in tablet mode

Did you ever find a solution? I just bought a used Yoga 13 and have been going through hell with the touchpad and volume stuck on mute. It's as if the Yoga thinks it's in tablet mode? I've tried re installing drivers. No luck so far. I do have a pointer going with the trackpad but it's very limited. I can't access the Start menu or the Search bar.
